Wednesday - Part 1 Nikolas: So how did a reasonably friendly divorce between two people who've practically known each other forever end up in mediation in front of a judge?
Lucky: One word -- "lawyers."
Nikolas: Lucky, I told you that Alexis and Diane would try to outdo each other. So if you know that going in, ignore all the posturing and focus on what's best for your children.
Lucky: All I wanted to do was secure a place in Jake and Cameron's lives. Instead, I could wind up losing them forever.
Elizabeth: Thank you. I cannot believe I am this nervous. The last thing I wanted was to be sitting across the table from Lucky, listening to lawyers rip our lives apart. Who knows what kind of hurtful things they'll dredge up.
Jason: Ok, show me the loading dock again, please.
Spinelli: The Jackal obeys, though the footage remains unremarkable.
Jason: Ok, can you show me that in the split screens right there -- yeah, right there. Go -- go closer. In on that, in on that.
Spinelli: To what end? The damage has already been done.
Jason: Can you focus?
Spinelli: Look, the Valkyrie would not lie about the simian one's hostility, ok? You need to talk to the blond one posthaste so that she can see the truth.
Jason: I already told you that I'm not going to police Lulu's love life.
Lulu: Glad to hear it.
Epiphany: We have a head trauma coming up from the ER The intern on duty needs a second opinion.
Robin: I'll take it.
Epiphany: What have we got?
Intern: Car accident. B.P. 180/100, no response to stimuli, pupils dilated, probable increased intracranial pressure.
Robin: Uh -- thank you, Nurse Johnson, I'll take it from here. Uh, we need a C.T. Scan, a c-spine. Start her on a loading dose of dexamethasone and mannitol.
Intern: Ok. Let's go, this way.
Epiphany: Are you ok, Dr. Scorpio?
Robin: Page Dr. Kelly Lee. Hey.
Kelly: Do you need a consult?
Robin: Yes -- for myself.
Kelly: Ok, let's get out of the traffic.
Robin: Wanting to be a mother is having some bizarre side effects.
Kelly: Like asking all of your guy friends if they want to be the father?
Robin: Huh. No. Like -- uh -- having flashes of my own death.
Sam: Thank you. So we were on location a week longer than we were supposed to be.
Alexis: Hmm. Was there a problem?
Sam: Oh, I guess you could call it a problem. Yeah, Amelia left the show halfway through. Yeah, I know, I -- I think she probably did it just so I could be stranded. But, anyway, the new producer had to learn the show as they went along.
Alexis: Well, I'm glad you're back.
Sam: So, did I miss anything? Go on, fill me in.
Alexis: Yeah.
[Sam chuckles]
Alexis: I have custody of Molly again.
Sam: No.
Alexis: Mm-hmm. Kristina loves school. We were at Wyndemere because of what happened to leticia, but now we're back home surrounded by Sonny's bodyguards.
Sam: Has there -- um, -- has there been any more trouble with Jerry?
Alexis: No, there's been no more trouble with Jerry. He is my client, no more, no less. I do not know how he spends his time and I have no interest in his personal life.
Sam: Ok. Well, you know, just -- just forget I asked. I'm really glad to see you back to work full-time.
Alexis: It's going very well. Except I didn't expect to be handling Lucky's divorce. We're in mediation this afternoon -- has he mentioned that at all?
Sam: Yeah, actually, it's all he could talk about last night.
Lucky: Well, I can't even see the boys until after the arbitration, if then.
Nikolas: Look, is there any way you can just back off a little?
Lucky: Elizabeth and I, we agreed on almost everything until she dragged Jason's lawyer into it.
Nikolas: Look, I seriously doubt that Elizabeth would allow Jason or his lawyer to influence any decision she makes about her children.
Lucky: Ok, so what about me? I am Jake's father, I might as well be Cameron's. Don't I deserve some influence?
Nikolas: Yes. I'm just saying don't go into the mediation expecting the worst. At least give Elizabeth the chance to be reasonable.
Lucky: Well, I wish I could trust Elizabeth to do the right thing. I guess I just lost almost all faith in her. I guess that's why we're getting a divorce.
Elizabeth: Alexis sees this whole thing as a competition and she'll do anything to win, even use the custody of Jake as a bargaining chip.
Emily: I'm sure Lucky regrets going along with that.
Elizabeth: Oh, no. He told me that if the judge had granted the petition for emergency guardianship, he would've taken Jake away from me.
Emily: Wow. See, Elizabeth, you've known for a while that your marriage was over, but Lucky didn't. He was counting on a future with you and the boys, and now, that's not going to happen, and he's devastated.
Elizabeth: Lucky and I have invested so many years.
Emily: Try to remember that, ok, when you're in the mediation. Lucky might not be dealing with this in the best way, but he's still a really good person. Just hold on to that, Elizabeth. Try to remember all the times when you saved each other. Lucky believed in you, he encouraged your dreams.
Elizabeth: Until my dreams changed.
Emily: For all of the times that Lucky helped you, maybe you could try to help him now, too.
Jason: There was an explosion at the coffee warehouse last night.
Spinelli: Uh -- thankfully, no one was hurt.
Lulu: Do you know who did it?
Jason: That's what I've been trying to figure out -- Spinelli.
Spinelli: Look, the blond one may not be in physical danger, but The Jackal fears that once again she's putting her trusting heart in peril.
Lulu: Logan and I agreed to try again.
Jason: Can you show me the south entrance, please?
Spinelli: Of course. The blond one must follow her generous and all-too-forgiving instincts.
Lulu: Thank you for the bagel. It's really good.
Spinelli: The blond one must keep up her strength.
Jason: Ok, there's the explosion. I want you to go back --
Spinelli: Ok, but since she is still residing in casa de Stone Cold and not the simian lair, and since Stone Cold finds the simian one beyond unworthy, and the Valkyrie was here last night warning us --
Lulu: Carly was here?
Spinelli: He -- Stone Cold -- will, no doubt, want to discuss her lamentable choice with her.
Jason: I don't care who you go out with.
Lulu: Thank you.
Jason: A war is about to start, you might want to think about moving out.
Spinelli: The Jackal protests.
Jax: Ok, I got to get going. So we're meeting for lunch today, right?
Carly: But I have to talk to you about something.
Jax: I'm really late for this meeting.
Carly: Well, I wanted to talk to you about it last night, but the boys were around, and this morning we got a little distracted, so --
Jax: Oh, yes, we certainly did, didn't we?
Carly: We did. Ok, listen --
Jax: What?
Carly: It's about Anthony Zacchara.
Jax: Ok, ok, come on. So?
Carly: All right. Sonny went to his house because he had a meeting with him, and as it turns out, Anthony Zacchara is mentally incompetent.
Carly: Sonny thinks that Trevor has been running the Zacchara organization from behind the scenes this whole time.
Jax: Wow. Well, that's an interesting development, but it's not necessarily alarming.
Carly: It means that Trevor Lansing is the one who rigged your car to explode when you went to supposedly meet with Anthony.
Jax: Well, perhaps. But Trevor Lansing and I have an understanding now, so it doesn't really matter.
Carly: Why are you being so annoyingly calm about this? Ok, Anthony Zacchara is a complete mental wack job, and, yes, he's locked up. But if he ever gets out, he could be a serious threat to our family!
Jax: Sit down, sit down.
[Carly sighs]
Jax: Trevor Lansing is running Zacchara's business -- that's great. He knows how to keep Zacchara under control. He also knows that if he threatens my family, I will launch a federal investigation against him. Ok, that would -- that would blow his cover. That would end his legal career and perhaps even his life.
Carly: Ok, I hope you're right.
Jax: Look, I'm no expert in mob business tactics, ok? But as long as Trevor Lansing is running the Zacchara business, then our family is relatively safe.
Sam: Well, you are going to be able to get a decent settlement for Lucky, aren't you? Trust me, everything that went wrong in that marriage was Elizabeth's fault.
Alexis: I'm just saying that it's a little awkward for Lucky right now. If Diane finds out that you two slept together last night, she is going to have a field day with that.
Sam: Ok, well, Lucky did actually get called out to the warehouse explosion -- if that makes you feel any better. All right, look, anyway, my -- my point to the whole thing was that Elizabeth is not exactly innocent here. I mean, she did sleep with Jason while she was married to Lucky.
Alexis: After she caught him in bed with Maxie.
Sam: Yeah, but they separated, divorced, and then remarried, and she still didn't tell Lucky the truth until she was under oath at Jason's trial.
Alexis: Elizabeth and -- and Jason slept together once a year and a half ago -- that does not constitute infidelity. Your being with Lucky right now is problematic for him.
Sam: Yeah, but I'm not surprised. So in your eyes, I am the one who's hurting Lucky.
Alexis: No, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying right now you two being together is complicating his life and his divorce.
Sam: You know what? Maybe we weren't quite ready for this mother/daughter breakfast.
Alexis: Please don't -- I'm not judging you.
Sam: Good, because I happen to care about Lucky.
Kelly: It's not uncommon for women who are starting out on fertility procedures to be very aware of their own mortality. They often feel like time's running out, or they'll die before they bring a child into the world.
Robin: I'm just not a person that does something like that.
Kelly: Yeah, but you're taking a big step. It's also not uncommon to have second thoughts.
Man: Oh, when the saints go marching in oh, when the saints go marching in oh
Epiphany: What do you think you're doing?
Orderly: I -- I'm sorry, Nurse Johnson. I wasn't aware that, uh, singing was against the rules.
Epiphany: How do you know my name?
Orderly: Please. Everybody knows Nurse Johnson. You're only the most respected nurse on staff.
Epiphany: And you must be the most deluded orderly in this hospital if you think sucking up is going to get you any kind of special treatment from me. Get back to work.
Orderly: Yes, ma'am. Oh I want to be
Epiphany: And don't let me catch you singing that song again.
Orderly: Uh -- will do, Nurse Johnson.
Robin: I haven't had second thoughts. It's just the opposite. The deeper I get into this, the more I realized I want a child of my own.
Kelly: Oh, man, it's just that darn finding-a-father thing.
[Kelly laughs]
Robin: Yeah. Maybe that's what this anxiety is all about.
Kelly: You know, if Jax, Leo, and Lucky aren't willing, and Patrick is out of the question, maybe it's time to consider a sperm bank.
Robin: Or maybe I've been going about this all wrong -- I mean, I've been practically apologizing for asking. Maybe I need to take a more aggressive approach.
Spinelli: How could you shove fair Lulu out the door into the hands of the unworthy one? How could you be so callous?
Jason: The situation with Trevor and Zacchara is deteriorating as we speak.
Spinelli: The real danger for Lulu is with the unworthy one. He'll no doubt betray her trust again, leaving her sad and alone and vulnerable to anyone who would pick her up on the street. Jason: I warned you that she's not going to camp out upstairs forever, didn't I?
Spinelli: Yeah, yes. I just -- I don't know. I just wish that -- I wish the blond one would see me as more than just a wimp with extreme cyber-skills. It just -- I just wish The Jackal could find a way to prove his -- his manhood so th she would respect me.
Luke: When did you get back?
Lulu: Last night.
Tracy: You couldn't pick up the phone?
Lulu: Have you had your coffee yet, Tracy?
Tracy: Did you realize we were worried? What were you thinking? Where did you go?
Lulu: No place special. I just wanted you both to know that I'm still seeing Logan, and it doesn't have anything to do with the deal I made with Scott.
Luke: Skip the romance report. Where you been?
Lulu: Like I said, no place special.
Luke: By any chance, were you visiting "no place special" with "no one special" named Zacchara?
Elizabeth: Whew.
Diane: Hello, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth: Hi. I hope I'm not late.
Diane: Not at all. I'd like you to meet Mr. White. He's going to be supervising this meeting.
Elizabeth: Hi.
Mr. White: Are we ready to begin?
Diane: I think so.
Alexis: Have a seat right here.
Mr. White: Fine. Elizabeth and Lucky, I've reviewed the paperwork, and the most problematic issue seems to be the custody of the children.
Diane: Elizabeth's son Cameron is not only not Mr. Spencer's biological child, he has not adopted Cameron. So there is no question about custody or visitation in that case. As to the younger child, Jacob Martin -- ahem -- I'm sure you're aware that Mr. Spencer has already been banned from contact because of his history of substance abuse.
Alexis: My client has been clean and sober for almost two years now.
Diane: My client is asking for sole custody of Jacob Martin, but she's more than willing to grant Mr. Spencer a supervised visit one afternoon a month.
Alexis: We think that this arrangement is absurd. We think it's punitive and unfair to my client. He is the biological father of Jacob Martin, he loves Cameron as if he were his own son. We feel that if anyone poses a danger to the safety of these children, it's Elizabeth.
Emily: I had to get Elizabeth dressed -- that's how nervous she is about this mediation.
Nikolas: Lucky has more to worry about than Elizabeth does. He hasn't been very discreet about Sam. That affair will hurt him in the mediation.
Emily: Yeah, and so will filing for emergency guardianship of Jake. What was Lucky thinking? If he would just back off, then Elizabeth would, too.
Nikolas: I tried to tell him that, but it didn't register. At least I allowed him to vent without flying off into some rage.
Emily: Hey -- have you heard from Patrick?
Nikolas: Yeah -- inconclusive, so far. I have to go back to the hospital tomorrow, run some more tests. I'm so tired of this. How am I supposed to deal with the problem if I don't know what the problem is, and why can't they find out what it is?
Emily: Nikolas, you have never been known for being all that patient. You know that, right?
Nikolas: Yeah.
Emily: And whatever it is, I'm going to be here.
Nikolas: Ok. You know, the worst part of it is, is that when it happens, I don't have any control over it. Like I told you before, I'm just -- I'm afraid that eventually I'm going to hurt someone that I care about.
Carly: All right. I have nothing to say to you.
Sam: Good. Where's Jax?
Carly: What do you want with my husband?
Sam: Oh, you are feeling threatened already -- your marriage must be going really well.
Carly: Jax isn't home.
Sam: Ok, that's fine. I'll just wait here until he gets home.
Carly: No, you won't.
Sam: All right, well, then maybe I'll come barging into your home at all hours of the night the same way you did with me and Jason.
Carly: Jason never turned me away. That's because Jason and I rely on each other -- one of the many things you never understood about him.
Sam: Yeah, I know -- you love to stake your claim to Jason. Maybe it's my turn to stake my claim to Jax.
Carly: Has Lucky dumped you already?
Sam: Hmm. No. Sorry to disappoint you, we're doing great.
Carly: Wow. I get that you're an equal opportunity slut, but what do you want with Jax? Isn't one man enough for you?
Sam: Apparently not. I'll catch up with him at the hotel.
Carly: Don't even think about it.
Luke: Anthony Zacchara's a heavy hitter, Lulu. He's got a bad reputation for extreme violence. I understand that you've gotten to know him.
Lulu: Who told you that?
Tracy: That's a good question.
Luke: I've got your back, gumdrop, whether you like it or not. I want to know everything you know about Johnny's old man.
Lulu: We took off twice, the second time was after I left here.
Tracy: That was unwise.
Lulu: Um -- we ended up in a cabin in the mountains. I went to go get pizza, and two of his men took me to where Johnny and his father live.
Tracy: She's leaving out volumes.
Luke: Did you get an address?
Lulu: It was dark. They only took me so Johnny would come back, which he did.
Luke: Did they hurt you?
Lulu: No, not at all.
Luke: What'd you see?
Lulu: I wasn't there very long. When Johnny showed up, he totally blew me off -- he even offered to pay me for my time.
Luke: What else?
Lulu: It doesn't matter anymore.
Spinelli: Where do you think the blond one will live?
Jason: I don't know. Can you show me the waterfront?
Spinelli: Well, I mean, she's just currently in discord with her cool father and stepmonster, so she won't, you know, avail herself to live in their abode.
Jason: Ok, slow that footage down right there. Slow it down, slow --
Spinelli: Don't you think she'd be isolated at Wyndemere? I mean, there's plenty of room at intrepid cop Lucky's place, but knowing that the blond one does that you're the father of the innocent one, I think she'd be most ill at ease living in the ruins of a love grown cold.
[Knock on door]
Robin: Hi.
Jason: Hey.
Robin: You busy?
Jason: Uh -- not for you.
Spinelli: Um -- The Jackal will head upstairs so you and Dr. Robin can talk freely.
Robin: Actually, wait. I -- I'm here to see you.
Spinelli: I, The Jackal?
Robin: I need to ask you a favor.
