Thursday - Part 1 Kelly: Hey. The appointment is set for this morning.
Robin: I think he's feeling a little nervous.
Kelly: Oh, that's understandable -- most men do. Oh, I'll reassure him that it's simple and quick. Once the sample is frozen, you'll be able to schedule your own procedure at your discretion.
Robin: Great. Things are moving right along.
Kelly: They sure are.
Leyla: You look a little shell shocked.
Patrick: Robin actually found a guy to father her baby.
Jason: I want to walk through the warehouse and assess the fire damage, but can you just do me a favor? Can you put a call into the construction crew, because we need to start rebuilding as soon as possible, Max, ok? All right, thank you. I'll see you later.
Spinelli: Does -- does Stone Cold notice a change in The Jackal's biceps?
Jason: Should I?
Spinelli: Well, perhaps it's not yet visible to the naked eye, but -- The Jackal's been lifting -- I've been -- I've been lifting weights. I thought it would be fitting, you know, to man up, now that I'm going to become a patriarch.
Lulu: You're what?
[Music plays]
Trevor: I'm not going to risk Sonny exposing me as the de facto head of the Zacchara organization. Eliminate him.
Man: We're making arrangements.
Trevor: Now, he's very well-guarded. Lure him away from Port Charles.
Singer: Miles to find my way
Carly: I know what you're doing.
Trevor: Somehow I doubt that.
Ric: So, why does my brother want to see me?
Sonny: It's about your father.
Ric: I -- I'm sorry. I was just thinking, you know, he's my father, you're my brother. The two of you are mortal enemies in love with the same woman -- a shrink would have a field day with that. It seems a little dysfunctional, don't you think?
Sonny: Try this for dysfunctional -- Trevor is running the Zacchara mob in Anthony's name, and he's making a fool out of you.
Nadine: Morning, Nurse Johnson.
Epiphany: Oh, right on time, Nurse Crowell. That's a good start for what may prove to be a very challenging first day.
Nadine: I realize people associate me with Jolene.
Epiphany: Nurse Crowell, your sister hurt a lot of innocent people, so don't expect anyone around here to give you the benefit of the doubt.
Nadine: Ok.
Kelly: I have to admit I was a -- a little surprised at your choice of sperm donor.
Robin: Well, Spinelli is one of the most intelligent people that I know.
Kelly: True, true. But he's also a little -- shall we say socially inept?
Robin: Well, I think that's more behavioral than genetic.
Kelly: You hope.
Robin: I -- Spinelli is kind and -- and charming, and he has excellent genes to contribute.
Patrick: Do me a favor? Can you get Dr. Lee's schedule for this morning?
Leyla: You realize you're acting obsessively?
Patrick: Look, Leyla, I know I should detach from this. But I still care about Robin, and I can't help but think this desire for a child is a direct reaction of our breakup.
Leyla: And what if it is?
Patrick: Then --
Leyla: Then what, you're going to stop her? Because I think you already tried, and she said in no uncertain terms it's none of your business.
Patrick: Yeah, I know that. So chalk it up to curiosity. Can you please just do me a favor and get her schedule?
Leyla: "Damian Spinelli, scheduled for 10:00."
Patrick: Spinelli? What the hell is she thinking?
Leyla: What's wrong with Spinelli?
Patrick: Spinelli, the father of Robin's baby?
Leyla: Yeah.
Patrick: I mean, that just goes to show she's not thinking with a clear head.
Leyla: Patrick, Spinelli happens to be intelligent and sweet. Why wouldn't she want him to be the father of her child?
Spinelli: Uh -- Dr. Robin Scorpio asked The Jackal to father her progeny-to-be.
Lulu: But she hardly even knows you.
Spinelli: Well, I -- I mean, close friendship is not a factor in chromosomal selection. I mean, she -- she chose The Jackal because of his intelligence and genetic superiority.
Lulu: That was very -- uh -- generous of you to agree.
Spinelli: Well, I mean, it was a -- it was a bit unexpected, but I -- you know I lt it was my -- my duty to comply. Just -- just think, the offspring of Dr. Robin and -- and The Jackal is sure t--
Lulu: No, this is actually a really uncomfortable subject for me. Um, good luck, though.
Spinelli: Stone Cold? Was I insensitive in -- in light of, you know, the blond one's experiences with unwanted pregnancy?
Jason: Well, she's concerned.
Spinelli: Why -- why would she be concerned? I mean, I'm -- I'm looking at this with most -- much enthusiasm and -- and confidence.
Jason: It was a big decision, and you made it very fast.
Spinelli: I mean, Dr. Robin seemed eager for a decision.
Jason: You're going to father a child and agree to stay out of his or her life. Can you do that?
Trevor: I'm really interested in what you think I've been up to.
Man: I'll call you when things are in place.
Trevor: Thank you.
Man: Ma'am.
Carly: You can skip the phony charm.
Trevor: But I am charmed by you, Mrs. Jacks -- or do you still go by Carly Corinthos?
Carly: Don't try and distract me, I know the truth. Know that you're running the Zacchara organization in Anthony's name.
Trevor: Well, if you really suspect that, perhaps you should talk it over with your husband.
Carly: I have, and you know what? The truth is out. The word is spreading. Your high-society image is tarnishing right before your eyes.
Trevor: But you don't seem particularly worried that I might be a ruthless mob boss.
Carly: That's because I know you and Jax have a deal that guarantees my family's safety.
Trevor: Then why are we having this discussion?
Carly: Because you must realize that your business is done here, and it's time for you to leave.
Luke: Trevor Lansing?
Trevor: Yes?
Luke: Luke Spencer. You and I may be in a position to help each other.
Ric: My father is not running the Zacchara mob, Sonny. He would never risk getting his hands dirty, and he values his prestige and his social contacts far too much.
Sonny: Well, Trevor's arrogant enough to think he can get away with it.
Ric: There's a difference between arrogance and stupidity. An association with known organized crime figures is going to destroy a reputation my father spent years cultivating.
Sonny: I don't think Trevor planned on running the business, I think it just kind of fell in his lap. You see, Anthony is insane and he's been deteriorating for years, and Trevor's had to cover that up, and he's been taking more control of the business.
Ric: So you've -- you've met with Anthony Zacchara?
Sonny: Yep. He's a recluse who's surrounded by guards and keepers, while your father runs the organization.
Ric: But, you see, my father was desperate to find Johnny Zacchara. If Anthony is as helpless as you say he is, then why would Trevor even bother?
Sonny: Anthony is certifiable, but he still has power. And I'm telling you, if your father loses control of him, we're all in a bloodbath.
Spinelli: The Jackal appreciates Stone Cold's words of wisdom, but my situation differs greatly from your own. See, I will be a father by genetic sample only. My -- my DNA will be harvested to conjoin with Dr. Robin's egg in the sterile environment of a petri dish. After that, she has the freedom to revel in her maternal bliss as I fade into cyberspace.
Jason: When that baby is born, you're going to look at that kid and you're going to see a part of yourself.
Spinelli: The Jackal is familiar with Stone Cold's secret pain.
Jason: I know you, Spinelli. You're going to love that child.
Spinelli: But, see, the difference is I -- I know what I'm -- I know what I'm getting into. I mean, you were -- you didn't know that the small Stone Cold one existed for months. And then when you did find out, the maternal one urgently requested you don't even --
Jason: And you're the one who pushed me harder than anyone to claim Jake as my own.
Spinelli: Stone Cold, you were so miserable.
Jason: No -- you told me that Jake would want to know his real father someday. I'm just saying your child might want the same thing.
Spinelli: And I would welcome my progeny's overture, but I doubt it --
Jason: I miss Jake all the time. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
Lulu: I came by to apologize for blowing up when you were trying to warn me against Logan.
Carly: Are you coming to tell me you dumped him?
Lulu: Huh. Hmm.
[Carly laughs]
Lulu: Carly, we agreed to try again. And I know you only want to help, so I apologize for jumping all defensive.
Carly: Ok, I'm sorry, too. You know, diplomacy really isn't my strong suit.
Lulu: Mine, either, in case you haven't noticed.
Carly: I love you, and I'm looking out for you, and I don't know really how to keep my mouth shut -- I'm sorry.
Lulu: I -- I am going into this with my eyes wide open.
Carly: Ok. I know what you want to see in Logan, I'm just worried that it's really not there, ok? Not every bad boy has a heart of gold, and I'm thinking he just doesn't have it.
Lulu: Ok, can we just agree to disagree and -- and not talk about this anymore?
Carly: Ok, you're an adult, you can see whoever you want to see. All right, I'm just going to ask you one question. Ok, just -- just one.
[Lulu chuckles]
Carly: Do you trust Logan or are you just getting back with him to prove a point?
Luke: I understand you're representing Anthony Zacchara.
Trevor: Well, it's a professional ethic of mine never to mention my clients' names.
Luke: I understand Mr. Zacchara is looking to do business in Port Charles. If that's true, he's going to need piers for docking, warehousing, transportation.
Trevor: Come to the point, Mr. Spencer.
Luke: The point is the only available waterfront property in this town belongs to the estate of Lorenzo Alcazar. If you're interested in those holdings, you have to deal with me as a middleman.
Trevor: If any of this were supposedly true, are you really in a position to deliver that property?
Luke: I'm in a position to open negotiations.
Trevor: Well, I might call you back soon. Till then, I have some other business to take care of.
Luke: Certainly. My card.
Sonny: For Trevor to continue to run the business, he has to keep Anthony quiet -- that's where Johnny comes in.
Ric: Oh, so he's his father's keeper?
Sonny: Well, apparently, he's, you know, obsessed with his son, and Trevor uses Johnny to placate him.
Ric: In other words, they have to make sure that Johnny stays at home --
Sonny: But he doesn't want to stay at home.
Ric: And if Johnny runs off, then they run the risk of Anthony going after him.
Sonny: Exactly. Trevor has to keep Anthony out of sight, and, you know, the Zaccharas' reputation fo violence and power is what gives the business its muscle. But nobody can know that Anthony's insane, and that Trevor's running the show.
Ric: Interesting theory. But what do you expect me to do about it?
Sonny: Well, you're always looking for a high-profile takedown. Why don't you bust Trevor? I mean, he's head of the crime family, he's guilty of extortion and murder -- come on, Ric --
Ric: So you're honestly suggesting that I arrest my own father?
Sonny: You hate him. Why don't you -- now is your chance to put him away for life. I mean, isn't that what he deserves after the way he's treated you all these years?
Emily: Invitation for Mr. Jason Morgan. We're having a black-and-white ball at Wyndemere -- just your kind of party.
Jason: Do you want me to come?
Emily: Of course. But my feelings won't be hurt if you say no. I just wanted you to know that you're invited. Nikolas is going to announce an endowment to the hospital in dad's name.
Jason: Alan would appreciate that.
Emily: I wish dad could be there. Like I wish that I could have a waltz with my big brother, but, you know, I'd never submit you to that kind of torture, and I'm sure that Nikolas would be more than happy to dance with me.
Jason: Is Nikolas going to be able to handle all this stuff or --
Emily: You know, he's going to have more tests, and Patrick's pretty confident that he's going to be able to be diagnosed.
Jason: Ok. Well, you just let me know if you need anything.
Emily: Ok, thanks, I will. How about you? Have you heard from Elizabeth?
Jason: No. Uh -- how --
[Emily chuckles]
Jason: How is she?
Emily: Yesterday was a little tough -- she and Lucky had the divorce mediation.
Sam: Ok -- um -- I got cut on my leg when I was canoeing on -- on location, and the nurse said the stitches were due to come out today, so --
Elizabeth: If you wait in the lounge, I'll call you an intern.
Sam: Why are you throwing me attitude? I mean, you can't possibly care that I'm sleeping with your husband.
Elizabeth: Just one more notch on your bedpost.
Sam: You are in absolutely no position to criticize.
Elizabeth: I don't seduce other people's husbands for payback.
Sam: Your husband happens to be a wonderful man, not that you bothered to notice.
Elizabeth: Lucky is hurt and angry and vulnerable. He has no idea what a lying bitch you are.
Sam: And who hurt him? Who made him angry, who made him vulnerable? That would be you, the biggest lying hypocrite of them all.
Nikolas: I don't think this is the time or place for this conversation, Sam.
Lulu: What would I be trying to prove, exactly, by getting back with Logan?
Carly: Well, you could be trying to prove that everyone was wrong about him.
Lulu: I am way past that.
Carly: Or you could be on the rebound.
Lulu: From what?
Carly: Why don't you tell me a little bit about what happened the last time you saw Johnny Zacchara.
Lulu: I'm sorry, that is way out of left field.
Carly: No, see, I've been on the rebound so many times, I know what it looks like.
Lulu: No, no, no, no! This is -- no, this is nothing like --
Carly: Ok.
Lulu: With you going from Sonny to Alcazar or whatever. What I have with Logan is some serious history, and when I got into that car with Johnny, I was rebounding from Logan.
Carly: You sat up talking to him all night long.
Lulu: Yeah, we had fun -- no big deal.
Carly: Yeah, then you disappear with him again a few nights later.
Lulu: Yeah, well, he actually took off with me, and I didn't really have much choice in the matter.
Carly: And then when his father's men abducted you and took you back to the estate, Johnny showed up and rescued you.
Lulu: Yeah -- and he tried to pay me off and shove me out the front door. Well, I guess our joyrides are over -- good riddance.
Carly: I think you're overcompensating. I think you're getting back with Logan because you want to prove that you don't feel anything for Johnny Zacchara.
Lulu: Johnny and I barely know each other.
Carly: That's why you disappeared with him twice.
Lulu: The only thing that Johnny and I have in common is that we have an urge to run away from our lives. Although, Johnny's life seems a lot worse than mine.
Johnny: You wanted to see me?
Anthony: Where have you been?
Johnny: I was down in the gym working out.
Anthony: You're lying.
Johnny: I was on the treadmill -- you can go down and look if you don't believe me.
Anthony: You leave without permission, disobey your own father, you're a liar -- just like all the rest of them, even that worm Trevor.
Johnny: I'm here now, ok? I didn't leave, I haven't left.
Anthony: But you will. You think I won't know, but I'll find out, I always do. You know the only one I could ever trust was your mother, and she betrayed me, too.
Johnny: You want to go for a walk in the garden --
Anthony: She died and left! It's hell to be left!
Johnny: He's ok.
Anthony: Don't worry, Johnny. It won't happen to you. I will never let any woman treat you the way your mother treated me.
Sonny: Anthony's been out of his mind for years.
Ric: We don't have proof, Sonny.
Sonny: Run an investigation if you don't believe me. Trevor's been, you know, giving the orders -- the man behind the curtain.
Ric: Ok. Let's say I do come up with proof that my father's been running the Zacchara organization all these years. What's to keep him from eliminating me?
Sonny: You scared of your father?
Ric: Well, I'm sorry. Let's just say I'm not terribly eager to become a target.
Sonny: Well, maybe he'll -- he'll get some shred of sympathy for you and then protect you.
Ric: Yeah, you know what, Sonny? My father hates me almost as much as you do. So if he kills me, you win. And if I put Trevor away, you win. Forgive me, I'm only seeing an upside for you in all of this.
Sonny: You're been wanting to pay your dad back for years, Ric.
Ric: Yeah, that's right, and I'm going to do it. But not to your benefit.
Sonny: You're -- you know, you're missing a golden opportunity --
Ric: You know what? Here's another option, Sonny. Why don't dad and I team up to bring you down, huh? There it is -- after all these years, I finally get to bond with my father over a common goal. How could I pass that up?
Kate: I'll come back later.
Sonny: No. This meeting's over.
Ric: You know what, just out of curiosity, Kate, has Sonny tried to sell you on this whole theory that Trevor is a secret mob boss?
