Part 2

Johnny: What did you mean about Trevor?

Anthony: I can move my foot. You want to see?

Johnny: I want to know what you meant about Trevor.

Anthony: Afraid, aren't you? Afraid to know I'm getting better.

Johnny: Doctors said you'd never get better, that you'd stay paralyzed from the neck down.

Anthony: Yeah, well, maybe I got a secret. Maybe I don't want anyone to know, just you. You're my son, not that miserable piece of garbage who thinks he runs things.

Johnny: Trevor?

Anthony: He's a taker.

Johnny: What do you mean?

Anthony: Watch me move my foot. Come on.

Johnny: All right.

Johnny: Go ahead.

Anthony: You see? I told you. Look at it -- I'll be dancing down the corridors before you know it!

Johnny: Right.

Anthony: Then I got to ask myself, what do I do when I get out?

Johnny: About what?

Anthony: About what? What do you mean, "about what?" About everything -- about Trevor, about Corinthos, and you. What do I do about you?

Sonny: I just got shot at, and we should be preparing to hit back, and you want me to take a vacation with Kate?

Jason: Sonny, come on, that's not what I'm saying.

Sonny: Well, "find somewhere to be together" -- I mean, I don't have the luxury or the time.

Jason: Well, you need to make the time, or you're going to lose her.

Sonny: What's been going on with you the past couple weeks?

Jason: What's with me is the people who want to be together should get to be together. In our -- in our business, in -- in our life, time isn't something you always get.

Sonny: This is -- this is about Jake, right? His first Christmas? We made choices, the people we care about shouldn't have to suffer for them. Ok? Now, I admit, you know, there was a time when the families -- the kids, women -- were exempt from all the violence, but that just went out the window with the Zaccharas.

Jason: Anthony Zacchara -- he's done, he's done.

Sonny: No, no -- no, nothing's changed because he's -- Johnny is following his father's footsteps, and he may be too weak to stand up to Trevor. Either way, we have to figure -

Jason: Sonny, either way, we're going to deal with this. Eventually, this is going to end. You don't have to wind up with nothing.

Elizabeth: Ok, you need to get out of my house.

Carly: You got pregnant on purpose, you hypocritical little slut.

Elizabeth: If that's what you need to believe to accept the truth -

Carly: Then you're all wishy-washy and scared about Jason's life!

Elizabeth: Then Jason and I will have something you never will. We made a miracle.

Carly: You made a baby -- any bitch in heat could do that.

Elizabeth: No, I gave Jason a son he's always wanted.

Carly: Yeah, and then you wanted him to keep it a secret so you could pull the wool over Lucky's eyes!

Elizabeth: Lucky just got out of rehab! That baby was the only thing keeping him clean and sober. I wasn't going to take that away from him.

Carly: Bull! You didn't want to tarnish your image as the angelical mother of two, and Cameron and -- "Jacob Martin." Huh. Wow. You are pathetic. You are just like a pathetic high school girl writing her guy's initials all over her notebook. You gave the baby Jason's initials? You claim to be working on your marriage, but it's pretty clear the guy you really wanted. And you rub Lucky's face in it -- no wonder why he found out.

Elizabeth: How did you find out?

Carly: Does it matter?

Elizabeth: Well, I can guess. There's only one person more vile than you who would take this information and do damage with it.

[Knock on door]

Sam: Hey.

Lucky: Hey. It's the only thing I could think about the entire time I was at work. Oh. Hey, you ok?

Sam: Oh. I -- um -- I think I just hate myself sometimes. Ok, look, sometimes -- um -- I do and say things that a part of me wishes I could take back, but the other part of me is really glad that I said them.

Lucky: Yeah, you and the rest of the human race.

Sam: No, Lucky. I am not a good person. I'm not. I think maybe -- I think I was at one time, or -- or I don't know. Maybe I was just a survivor, or maybe I just had the good sense to keep to myself.

Lucky: Well, then I'm glad your good sense deserted you.

Sam: The trouble always starts when I let myself feel things better left to other people.

Lucky: Like love?

Sam: Yeah. And trust. And -- uh -

Lucky: Hey, do you really want to tell me what's going on?

Sam: No, you know, I don't. I -- I don't, not right now. I just -- um -- I want you to hold me.

Alexis: If you had bothered to check the gas gauge -

Diane: Why should I check the gas gauge? You were the one driving for the last 80 miles -- or should I say "crawling"?

Alexis: Driving at reduced speed saves fuel. If it weren't for your lead foot, we would've made it to the gas station. Tell that to your mechanic.

Diane: Well, you can just forget the mechanic because we still have no cell service out here in the middle of nowhere.

Alexis: There is no "middle of nowhere" between New York and Philadelphia, Diane. There's no countryside left. Even the deer are practically eating each other. Surely there's a strip mall somewhere.

Diane: Look. Look -- I see a light right over there.

Alexis: Good. Let's go.

Diane: Not without my Neela Llorente.

Alexis: Oh, we don't have time for the damn dress, Diane.

Diane: I am not going to be the one to tell Kate Howard that the dresses we borrowed were stolen -- probably to be worn at some canned cheese and venison tailgate party.

Alexis: Good point.

Diane: What's that for -- bears?

Alexis: Tailgate people.

Diane: Good point. All right, let me have it, I can defend myself.

Alexis: So can I.

Diane: I once dropped a 200-pound skinhead on P.C.P.!

Alexis: This is going to be an expensive trip.

Diane: Well, we're certainly not going to tell the rental company that I -- that we did that.

Alexis: We're going to lie?

Diane: Yeah.

Alexis: Good idea. Let's go. This way.

Diane: Oh -

Alexis: Go!

Skye: Did you see how quickly Lorenzo's -- death reared its ugly head, Ric? Do you see how this would never work, why it's too dangerous? There's way too much we'd use against each other?

Ric: But I'm willing to take the risk, ok, I'm willing to take that leap of faith. Skye, I have no illusions about this, ok? I'm not -- I'm not looking for you to save my soul or make me a better person.

Skye: The way you did with Elizabeth?

Ric: Yeah, that's why we were doomed from the start. I was driven to do things that I never thought that I was capable of. I'm not going to make that mistake again, all right? I'd -- I'd rather be alone, ok? I'm -- I was content with being alone, Skye. But with you -- I see that I don't have to be.

Skye: This isn't just about me, Ric. I have a daughter, I want to protect her, and you should want to, too. And after all the damage that we would eventually cause each other, what would we be leaving them?

Ric: Look, can't you even at least consider the possibilities?

Skye: I have. Believe me, I have, and they are very, very attractive. But there are too many pitfalls, and one of us has to keep repeating the same mistakes. I guess that falls on me, huh? One of us has to end this vicious cycle. Who knows? It could've been wonderful, or it could've been a disaster. Isn't it about time we both went for a sure thing?

Trevor: Good evening, Ms. Quatermaine. Hi, Richard. Your office told me I could find you here. Where's your daughter?

Ric: She's sleeping.

Trevor: Oh, I miss her. Anyway -- look, I came all the way out here to tell you that there is possibly a new, very destructive threat that's going to move into Port Charles.

Ric: Translation -- you were unable to form an alliance with Johnny Zacchara, and this "new, destructive threat" may turn to Sonny, hmm?

Trevor: Look, Richard, I am only passing along very privileged information because you're the top cop in port Charles. And should you want to take on this threat and defeat it, you might build you -- you might build yourself a reputation and clean up this city.

Ric: Really? And all I have to do is ignore the dirty little corner that you want to set up shop in when you get your hands on Lorenzo Alcazar's waterfront property, right?

Trevor: Come on, Richie. Even as a little boy, you never understood that you always left a trail of dirt behind you and you didn't clean it up. In order to succeed, you got to tidy things up. But I believe you still have great potential in you. So, look, should you want to talk to Skye, tell her that I'm in a position to make her a very wealthy woman if she will sell all of Lorenzo Alcazar's piers to me.

Ric: Really? Well, I -- I don't think that Skye's interested in just that. I think she's looking for more.

Trevor: Don't derestimate a woman's eternal need for exotic wealth.

Ric: Yeah? And power, right?

Trevor: Richie, that goes without saying.

Ric: What about love, dad?

Trevor: Love?

Ric: Yeah.

Trevor: Well, love makes for a very good imaginary ending to one of your daughter's bedtime stories.

Ric: That's sad.

Trevor: It's reality, Richie.

Carly: You didn't want Jason a his dangerous life around your baby, so you took him away. You took Jason's son away from him.

Elizabeth: No, it was Jason's idea to give up Jake.

Carly: No way, he would never give up his son.

Elizabeth: He did what he thought was best for him.

Carly: He would never give up his child unless you whined and cried about it!

Elizabeth: Jason actually put somebody else first.

Carly: You know, you're unbelievable! You get him into bed, and then you talk him into keeping this secret -- even from me.

Elizabeth: That's what really bothers you, isn't it -- that you were left out of the loop? Huh.

Carly: You pulled this off well. I'll give it to you, but now that I know, the farce is over.

[Door opens and closes]

Alexis: Oh -

Diane: I see a light in the distance. It can't be that far -- whatever it is.

Alexis: A nice cottage, with a kind, elderly schoolmarm.

Diane: Ok. See, now, I'm hoping for a cabin, built by its strapping, hunky, desperately lonely, possibly well-educated owner.

Alexis: Maybe he's got a brother.

Diane: Maybe they're both mute.

Alexis: It's so much better when they don't talk.

Diane: It's just possible that heaven awaits!

[Rock music plays]

Diane: You see? Tire iron was a good idea after all.

Singer: It takes some time

Johnny: I got the Trevor situation under control. He needs me.

Anthony: He needed me, too, didn't matter what condition I was in. He's a taker and a pusher. Pushing, pushing, always pushing.

Johnny: You're rambling.

Anthony: Maybe you just try to follow. Did I tell you I can feel my foot? I can make it move.

Johnny: Yeah, you did. See ya.

[Knock on door]

Sam: Hold on. Oh, what do you want?

Elizabeth: You had to do it, didn't you? You had to go and make trouble.

Lucky: What's going on?

Elizabeth: Sam went to Carly and told her that Jake is really Jason's son.

Jason: No. No, I just want to know where Johnny is at all times, ok? Nobody makes any moves at all. Keep me posted.

[Jason sighs]

Carly: I need to ask you a question.

Jason: What, is this about you having a baby again?

Carly: No, it's about you having a baby -- with Elizabeth. Is it true? Is Jake your son?

>> On the next "General Hospital" -

Skye: I have a proposition for you.
Diane: If we just act like we fit in, what could happen?
[Glass shatters]
Lucky: You told her that Jake isn't mine?
Carly: Did you have a baby with Elizabeth and not tell me?
