Sam: Please, lucky, please, just hear me out. I know what i did was awful.

Lucky: Yeah, which time? What was more awful, do you think? Watching jake being kidnapped, standing behind elizabeth, never saying a word? Or hiring two guys with guns to scare elizabeth and those boys in the park?

Sam: I was angry, i was hurt. I was angry at jason and elizabeth, i was desperate, lucky.

Lucky: I thought you acted out by coming on to me. You're an adult! It's inconceivable to me that you could be so selfish, so self-centered in risking an innocent little boy's life!

Sam: It wasn't like that. You don't understand --

lucky: No, i think you need to understand this -- i will help elizabeth and jason do whatever it takes to make sure you never come near jake again.

Carly: Hey.

Jason: Hey. Jax around?

Carly: No, no. He's out for a while. Why? Is it jake? Is he ok?

Jason: You know, you can't keep saying that every time i see you.

Carly: I'm sorry, ok? I'm -- i'm sorry. What's wrong, then? Why are you here?

Jason: Ok, i -- i really have nothing to back this up but instinct.

Carly: Instinct? Ok. Well, i trust your instinct.

Jason: I'm not sure that cooper was really the text message killer.

Carly: What are you talking about? The police closed the case.

Jason: I know that. I'm just not convinced that cooper is the killer.

Carly: All right, mac must have some airtight evidence, ok? There's no way that he would close this case with his daughter's murderer still walking around out there.

Jason: I get it, i get that. They think it's all over -- mac, the police -- everybody. I don't -- i don't think so.

Carly: So you think this maniac is just out there walking around?

Jason: Yeah, i think it's possible. The only problem is i don't have any proof.

Carly: But you have a theory -- you don't think coop did it. Who do you think the real killer is?

Logan: Didn't i just take you home?

Lulu: It's not home anymore.

Logan: Uh-oh. What's going on?

Lulu: Well, the good news is my dad's back. The bad news is monica threw tracy out, and by association, my dad had to leave, too. And i felt weird staying there, even though edward said i could.

Logan: So where are you going to go?

Lulu: I don't know. I -- um -- i could stay at wyndemere. I could ask lucky if --

logan: You know, why inconvenience your brothers? Why don't you just move back in with me?

Jax: Kate, i don't really like to keep secrets from my wife.

Kate: Jax, what i'm about to tell you has to be kept a secret from everyone -- except sonny. He knows -- he --

jax: What?

Kate: He thinks he knows.

Jax: Ok, ok --

kate: Jax, i don't have anyone to tell, i don't have anyone i trust.

Jax: What could be so top-secret about kate howard's past?

Kate: Kate howard doesn't have a past -- she doesn't exist. She's a creation, a total fabrication. I am really connie falconeri from bensonhurst. I'm the first person who broke sonny corinthos' heart.

[Woman chuckles]

woman: If you're taking inventory, i can pretty much guarantee i've got everything you're looking for.

Sonny: Leave your shoes on.

[Woman giggles]

lulu: I don't think my moving in would be a good idea. You know, i -- i don't think that we're there yet. I mean, i -- i don't think that we're there again. Moving in puts a lot of pressure on two people, a lot of expectations.

Logan: Like what? Like you expecting me not to notice that you're still into johnny -- the guy that got you kidnapped? The guy that almost got both of us blown up on a ship bringing in God knows what to port charles? Or the guy that after all of that, you went to go find and patch up? And now a guy that you claim to just be friends with?

Lulu: What do you want me to say?

Logan: I -- i don't know. You won't deny that you have feelings for him.

Lulu: Maybe i'm still a little raw that you slept with maxie.

Logan: Maybe it's time you got over that. I chose you.

Lulu: What are you trying to prove?

Logan: I'm just trying to see how much of you is here with me, lulu.

Lulu: Really? Are my percentages high enough?

Logan: I don't know, but i'll let you know after you spend the night with me.

Trevor: What does that mean, "she wasn't there"?

Mr. Vaughn: It means exactly that. Look, she calls, she says her flight came in early, she's at the hotel, and she's going to meet the car out in front with her bags.

Trevor: And what did you do then?

Mr. Vaughn: What'd i do? I -- i went to the hotel, she wasn't there. The bags were there with instructions for the driver to take the bags to the house, and -- you're going to love this -- she said she'd get there as soon as she could.

Trevor: It's impossible, she doesn't know anybody in port charles. So where is she? What is she doing?

Johnny: Where's who, and doing what?

Woman: So who is she?

Sonny: Who's who?

Woman: The woman you're trying to forget?

Sonny: I don't know -- i seem to have forgotten her.

Woman: You're not married.

Sonny: Noticed i don't have a ring on my finger?

Woman: And you didn't look at the door once, which means you weren't expecting someone to walk in.

[Sonny sighs]

woman: You weren't hoping someone would, either. You weren't trying to give someone an eyeful. No fears, no agenda, no marriage.

Sonny: What else was i besides good?

Woman: Besides the good parts, you were angry. You're hurt, and you're still in love with her.

Jax: You're kidding, right? This is some kind of joke?

Kate: No, not. Apparently, along with a lot of other desirable characteristics, i seem to have left my sense of humor back in brooklyn -- along with my family's name.

Jax: So, connie falconeri -- is that right? Why'd you change it?

Kate: Because, jax, connie couldn't be someone like the editor in chief of "couture." She couldn't be on the board of a museum, or move with style and grace through the hordes of high-powered, over-bred humanity with whom i had to interact.

Jax: So when you knew sonny, you knew sonny as -- as connie, is that right?

Kate: Oh, yeah. We were quite the item back in the neighborhood.

Jax: Really? Well, it was serious?

Kate: We were going to run away together. But as it turned out, i just ran -- or, connie did. Connie wanted more than she thought she could have with the neighborhood bad boy.

Jax: Yeah, and she got it -- and a whole lot more.

Kate: Yeah, she did. After she got a new name, she got a new life, a whole new past, and the decades went by and it all just faded into the background. Bensonhurst and connie and sonny -- all of it.

Jax: Then you came here. [Jax chuckles]

kate: I wanted a weekend home. I wanted some peace. I came here with my assistant, i got lost in the rain, and i ended up in sonny corinthos' office. I mean, really, what are the odds of that?

Jax: Well, quite good, apparently.

Kate: Yeah, and the sparks -- they blew back into flames, and we were right back where we started -- or, i should say, where we ended. Sonny proposed to me, and i ran -- again.

Sam: I would not have hurt jake.

Lucky: Why should i believe you? Why should anybody believe anything you say?

Sam: I really don't know what i can say to make you --

lucky: Nothing. Nothing at all because it's inconceivable to me. You -- you had a miscarriage. You lost a baby. How could you just stand there and say nothing while somebody stole one? I mean, did you hate elizabeth that much?

Sam: Yes, i did! In that moment standing there, yes. I was -- i was filled with hatred and jealousy, and i wanted revenge. But, lucky, everything happened so fast. That woman -- she came out and she grabbed jake. She just -- she took him, and all of a sudden he was gone, and it was too late to say anything.

Lucky: Yeah, well, it could've been too late for jake! Did you even think about that? No, because all you could think about was that woman taking that child that was the one connection between elizabeth and jason. Did you really think you had a chance with jason when jake was out of the picture?

Sam: No, no, no, no, no! Listen, don't you see? The woman was there, and then she was gone. I didn't even have time to think. By the time i realized what was happening, it was over, it was done!

Lucky: Stop it, sam! Once jake was found, you made sure elizabeth was so terrified that she wouldn't let jason have a shot at raising his own son! And you just kept standing there, watching this all play out while you were playing me!

Sam: Oh, man. Yes. It is all true, every last word of it. I was in agony! You are not the only one that was lied to here. I had lost everything that was worth living for. And i had to find a way to pick up the pieces of what was left of my life and rebuild it. I would not have been able to do that without you, lucky. Come on, please --

lucky: No, just --

sam: The last thing i ever thought i wanted, the last thing with -- i never thought i would wind up having feelings for you, but i did -- i do! I do, lucky, and they are real.

Lucky: Yeah, maybe.

Sam: No, don't.

Lucky: Or maybe -- maybe this could just be a ploy -- so you can just be closer to me, cameron, and jake, so you can just keep sticking it to elizabeth and jason Well, you know what? I don't care. I really don't, because i've been lied to by you, elizabeth, and maxie. I've been treated like -- the biggest fool, that's what i am.

Sam: No, you are not.

Lucky: No.

Sam: You are kind and amazing, and you are trusting --

lucky: Yeah, well, from now on, all i'm going to do is focus on being a father, and i want you to get out of here.

Sam: You don't understand. You really don't understand what happened.

Lucky: As far as you goes, i don't care --

sam: Please, lucky, don't --

lucky: Just as long as i never see your face.

Lulu: I am not spending the night with you.

Logan: Why?

Lulu: Because that invitation had all the charm of being dragged back to your cave by my hair.

Logan: Lulu, i want to be with you.

Lulu: No, no, you want me to prove something to you, but i'm not going to do it.

Logan: Because you can't.

Lulu: Because i don't have to. I'm not the one who's dragging johnny into every single conversation that we have. You can't seem to open your mouth without putting him down or trying to prove that you're better than he is.

Logan: Just better for you.

Lulu: Well, you know what? If you really mean that, then show me. Be the best logan that you can be, because that is all that i would want to be with.

Logan: I'm sorry, lulu, i'm pushing it.

Lulu: Maybe there is no winning for us, for any of us.

Logan: What does that mean?

Lulu: It means maybe i should just -- i should be on my own.

Logan: All right -- till johnny comes along, right? Hmm?

Lulu: Thank you, thank you. That just made up my mind -- i'm done.

Logan: Lulu, i'm sorry. Come -- come back.

[Door opens]

elizabeth: What are you doing here?

Sam: Oh, we came to say goodbye.

Elizabeth: What are you doing with my son?

Sam: Oh, he's my son. He always should've been my son -- my son with jason. You never deserved either of them. You lied to everyone, and now it's time to pay the price.

Elizabeth: No, no, he doesn't want to be with you. Give me back my baby! Where are you going?

Sam: Someplace you will never find us.

Elizabeth: Give him back to me! Jake! Jake! No, she took my baby!

Robin: Elizabeth?

Elizabeth, it's ok, wake up. [Elizabeth gasps]

robin: It's ok, it's ok. You're just having a dream. It's ok, it was just a dream.

Elizabeth: Oh, God, i got to get out of here.

Robin: Well, hold on, wait --

elizabeth: I got to get out of here.

Robin: Elizabeth, just --

elizabeth: No -- i have to get out. I have to get to my baby.

Robin: Elizabeth --

elizabeth: Jake? Jake?

Patrick: Whoa, whoa, whoa,

hey, elizabeth -- hey, hey, calm down.

Elizabeth: Jake? Jake?

Patrick: Hey, calm down. You need something to help calm down?

Elizabeth: Jake?

Patrick: What's happening?

Robin: Jake is with audrey, remember? Both boys are with her. She just called a couple minutes ago to check on you, and she said they're just fine.

Patrick: Just calm down, elizabeth. You need something to help you calm down? Tell me what's happening.

Elizabeth: No. I need to get out of this place.

Jason: Look, i -- i have nothing -- i have nothing to go on but a gut feeling. But i am going to look into this, and i just -- i just want you to be careful.

Carly: Hey, you will be the first call i make if i get a text from the killer.

Jason: Ok, see, that's the problem -- leticia didn't get a text before she was killed, and neither did emily.

Carly: This doesn't make sense. If coop wasn't guilty, why did he kill himself?

Jason: Maybe he didn't. Maybe he was getting too close to the truth. Do you know he called me right before he died? Now, why would he do that unless he had something to tell me?

Carly: Maybe he wanted to confess his guilt about emily but he just couldn't go through with it.

Jason: I -- carly, i don't know.

Carly: Ok, listen, all i'm saying is maybe this time your instinct's wrong because you wanted to be the one to find emily's killer.

Jason: Maybe. Look, i just -- i just want you and the kids to stay on your guard so nobody does anythin careless.

Sam: Whew.

[Phone rings]

Trevor: Stay on it.

Johnny: So this "she" you're talking about is a boat?

Trevor: Exactly -- to replace the one that you blew up with moreau's cargo onboard. Who do you think i was talking about? Oh, of course -- the spencer girl, your achilles' heel. You know, john, you are never going to step into your father's footsteps if you don't get rid of her. Your enemies are going to prey on your weaknesses.

Johnny: And what was my father's weakness?

Trevor: Your mother -- at least, his love for her.

Johnny: And who preyed on it, huh -- you?

Sonny: Where you running off to?

Woman: I have a prior engagement. We both got what we came for. Why complicate it?

Sonny: What do you call "complicated"?

Woman: Names, numbers -- anything much more than this conversation.

Sonny: Hmm. Sounds lonely.

Woman: I've known lots of lonely married men, engaged men, family men -- all trying to fill little pockets of empty with other people. I don't need anyone to complete me. I'm enough for me, you get that.

Sonny: Yeah, i do.

Woman: You're someone solitary and serious --

[sonny sighs]

woman: Who gets what you want when you want it, no matter what the price, but you pay later. Sometimes you keep paying. You're a haunted man.

Sonny: And you know this from one thoroughly enjoyable evening in a hotel room?

Woman: You don't have to tell me. I'm right.

Sonny: Maybe we're a lot alike.

Woman: Maybe.

Sonny: If we are, why don't you tell me what haunts you?
