Trevor: Mr. Cavallo -

man: Come on, enough!

Lou: Your daddy never taught you and your brother respect. Maybe it's time somebody did.

[Lou groans]

Claudia: And your daddy never taught you how to treat a lady.

Lou: Oh -

Jason: Can you talk?

Elizabeth: No, not really.

Jason: Ok, I just -- I just ran into Lucky. He's got it in his head that I might be the one who hit Sam.

Elizabeth: What? Well, did you tell him that -

Jason: I know. The point is Lucky's looking at what Sam did with Jake and his kidnaping as a motive. So it's all the more reason you cannot say anything until I check out who else was on the road.

[Elizabeth sighs]

Elizabeth: Ok, I understand.

Jason: Good.

Elizabeth: Sorry, I had to take that.

Nikolas: No, no, it's ok. Look, I want -- I want to share all this with my son, watch him grow up. I mean, I've already -- I've already missed so much with him. You know, he turns 2 in a few days and -

Elizabeth: Oh, my god.

Nikolas: Can you believe it?

Elizabeth: No.

Nikolas: I was hoping that maybe you could help me plan a little party for him?

Elizabeth: Yeah, I -- I would love that. The boys and I would love to be part of his special day.

Nikolas: What's wrong? Something wrong?

Elizabeth: Have you seen Sam?

Nikolas: No. Why?

Elizabeth: She's in the hospital.

Nikolas: What -- what happened? Is she ok?

Elizabeth: Yeah -- yeah, she's going to be fine, but there was an accident on Tuckerton road last night. She was the victim of a hit-and-run.

Nikolas: What time did it happen?

Elizabeth: The police estimate it was somewhere between 10:00 and midnight.

Nikolas: Do they know who did it?

Elizabeth: No -- there's not a whole lot to go on. It was raining hard, so all the evidence was washed away. Nikolas: Yes, I know. I was driving last night around that time, at that place. I had a blackout and lost that chunk of time. What if it was me?

Alexis: Oh, please don't do it. Don't -- you're not going to lecture me about -

Diane: Someone needs to lecture you.

Alexis: I don't want it to be you.

Diane: Well, too bad. I'm feeling very protective of you right know, so take advantage of it while it lasts.

Alexis: You and I have both defended killers. Was there not any good in any of them?

Diane: Are you actually going to try and convince me that beneath jerry's coldhearted, brutal facade, there now lurks a caring and compassionate heart?

Alexis: Let me ask you this -- do you think "caring" and "compassionate" would be the first two words anyone would use to describe us?

Diane: God, I hope not, but that's where the comparison ends, Alexis.

Alexis: We've both sent people to their deaths.

Diane: Ok, in those cases, the circumstances were -

Alexis: Mitigating -- I understand that. I'm very well aware of the fact that he has to go to great lengths to make amends for what he's done.

Diane: Well, that's what he's trying to convince you that he's doing. Look, when are you going to realize that you cannot fix people, Alexis? Some men can't change -- more importantly, some men don't want to change. And you know I'm right.

Man: Well, well, well. Mr. Moreau. Mr. Craig, Mr. Jacks -- whatever you're calling yourself today -- what have you brought to the party? Have you brought me that valuable piece of waterfront property formerly belonging to Lorenzo alcazar?

Jerry: Don't worry. I have a connection to the current holder of the deed.

Man: Try to be a little less vague and a little bit more confidence-inspiring, jerry. How many degrees of separation are we talking here -- four, six?

Jerry: One, actually.

Man: Ah. So your direct connection to the most valuable and coveted piece of real estate on the eastern seaboard would be?

Jerry: Alexis Davis -- who happens to be quite taken with me.

Ric: Oh, thank god, it's still intact. What were you thinking?

Marianna: About all the ways people hurt each other! And how a piece of paper can hurt you so much and why you'd even let it!

Ric: No, I haven't, ok? It doesn't -- it doesn't have to!

Marianna: I see the way you look at them. I mean, I see the -- I see it in your eyes -- the man you become - so sad and dark.

Ric: Yeah.

Marianna: It's so different than when you're -

Ric: Yeah, the little boy running across the beach, right?

Marianna: Yes! Yes, the little boy running across - oh, god -- when you're smiling from your whole heart!

Ric: You know what? I'm not a little boy, ok? I'm a grown man, I live in the real world -- and it's a cold, ruthless world. Look, that other man -- this - I don't -

Marianna: It's not real?

Ric: No, I don't know if it can last.

Marianna: Well, I pray it does for your daughter's sake.

Ric: Don't -- please, don't bring my daughter into this.

Marianna: I see the truth in your eyes, ok, and that part of you wishes I had burnt it!

Ric: Yes. I'm sorry.

Marianna: No, it's ok.

Ric: No, it's not -- it's not ok. You got a bruise. Have you -- you've been covering up with makeup?

Marianna: No, I told you, I'm clumsy.

Ric: Listen to me, you've never lied to me. Please don't start now.

Claudia: Take it easy, gentlemen, it's all right, everything's under control.

Lou: Nothing to get excited about, get out of here.

Sonny: Max -- Max?

Claudia: What happens in this room stays in this room.

Sonny: I think we can all agree on that.

Man: Yeah.

Second man: Yeah.

Third man: I think so.

Claudia: Good. It was nice to finally meet all the other players in this town. We're obviously all after the same thing -- the alcazar waterfront property and piers. Once it's been acquired, there will be some serious negotiating to do. Ciao.

Spinelli: What are you doing?

Maxie: My eyeliner.

Spinelli: Shining a spotlight on two people sitting in a car in front of a building, watching the building? Why don't you just call the evildoer and tell him we're staking him out?

Maxie: Ok, sugar mania has finally set in. You're cut off, geek boy.

Spinelli: You are such a -- blonde.

Maxie: Hmm.

Spinelli: You know, for someone who was brought up in the home of meritorious Mac, the leader of the forces of good, you have absolutely no understanding -

Maxie: Of the sacred 46 rules?

Spinelli: 49. Hmm. You have no instinct.

Maxie: Hey, I am all instinct. I am the reason that cop left us alone, the reason we have hope.

Spinelli: What is it? Your valentine's day gift from the clean-cut cadet.

Maxie: Look, we're supposed to be staking out, ok, so, stake out. Why don't you try rule number 46 or something -- go crazy.

[Jazz plays]

Spinelli's voice: [As Sam Spade] Port Charles, New York. There are a lot of guys like The Jackal. They're easy to find -- if you want to find them.

[Footsteps]

Maxie: You're just the man I'm looking for, Mr. Jackal, P.I.

Sonny: Thanks for coming.

Man: Yeah.

Sonny: Hey, take it easy, ok?

Lou: No, it's all right. These Zaccharas are like cancer - they've got to be cut out.

Man: They're an unpleasant fact of life right now.

Second man: Because Corinthos won't get a foothold. We've heard the rumors -- how he's been distracted?

Third man: What are you saying? You think Sonny's losing it?

Lou: I'm saying we wait, see how it falls out, before we decide who's the cancer that needs to be removed.

Sonny: Max?

Max: Yeah, boss?

Sonny: Where the hell is Jason?

[Max sighs]

Max: I don't know.

Sonny: You don't know? Do you know anything? I mean, what's going on with the piers? Do we have a line on them yet?

Marianna: No, I'm not lying, ok? I'm just clumsy.

Ric: You seem afraid. Did somebody do this to you?

Marianna: I have to go.

Ric: Don't shut me out.

Marianna: You know, I couldn't even if I wanted to.

Ric: Ok, just stay a while, all right, no more questions. Please -

Marianna: Can't, ok?

Ric: Marianna, please -

Marianna: No, I got to go.

Man: Who holds the deed to the alcazar property?

Jerry: Well, if you can supply the money, I can certainly make an offer for it.

Man: You've wasted some precious time, jerry, chasing kids through monastery tunnels, allowing them to throw me off my timetable. I cannot afford to have another shipment of mine lying at the bottom of a river. You get me those piers. Do I make myself clear?

Jerry: Crystal.

Sonny: Get me those damn piers, I don't care what it takes.

Jason: I'm working on it.

Sonny: You're working on it, but, you know, you're so wound up in your personal stuff that you're distracted and you're losing focus, Jason.

Jason: I'm working on it.

Sonny: Yeah -- let's go.

[Phone rings]

[Sonny sighs]

Sonny: Yeah?

Claudia: Well, isn't this getting interesting?

Spinelli: You -- that -- that's it, the -- the evildoer is not showing up. Let's just go.

Maxie: Did you pay any attention to this online course, or were you too busy fantasizing that you were Jack Nicholson from "Chinatown" with Faye Dunaway draped all over you?

Spinelli: I will not even dignify that with a response.

Maxie: This is detective work, Spinelli, and a big part of it is staking out and sitting in a car with your partner and having late nights. I mean, if you're -- do you really want to do this?

Spinelli: Look, I vowed to find fair Georgie's killer, ok?

Maxie: Then you need to be prepared to go all the way.

Sam: Oh. What is it?

Lucky: I didn't want to wake you up, that's all. I just got back from talking to Patrick.

Sam: Were you able to find out the name of the doctor?

Lucky: Devlin.

Sam: And?

Lucky: I couldn't find him.

Sam: What do you mean, "you couldn't find him," Lucky? I mean, did you even try and call him?

Lucky: I tried.

Sam: Maybe he was at dinner, or maybe he -

Lucky: I tried.

Sam: So I guess you don't need to talk to Devlin, do you?

Lucky: All Ian knows is what you told him.

Sam: Is it going to take for me to die for you to believe me, Lucky? Is that what you want -- for me to die?

Lucky: No.

Elizabeth: Oh, I wanted so much to tell Nikolas the truth.

Jason: But the truth is you don't even know if you're the one who hit Sam or not. It could've been Nikolas -- he told you he had a blackout.

Elizabeth: I don't know what to think. I'm just so afraid of being taken away from my kids, from you, I don't know what to do.

Jason: All right, just do me a favor and -- just go hold our son and tell him how -- how loved he is.

Elizabeth: Ok.

Trevor: Sweetie, did you steal that deed from my son the way I asked you to?

Marianna: I tried. He caught me.

Trevor: Then, what did you tell him?

Marianna: I told him that I thought he should burn the damn thing. How am I supposed to live with myself? Trevor: Here's how -- you're doing him a favor, and probably saving him his life. You see, there is a group of very powerful and important people that will do anything to get their hands on that property. So, you get me that deed, and please, don't make me ask you again.

Sonny: How'd you get this number?

Claudia: I'm resourceful -- you must realize that by now. I saw you checking out my red stilettos when I had one planted on Mr. Cavallo's chest. I think you preferred it when I wore them to bed, though.

Sonny: What do you want?

Claudia: Same thing you want. Don't think just because we slept together I won't kill you if you get in my way. Sonny: Feeling's mutual.

Claudia: Good. Doesn't mean I won't sleep wit you again, either.

>> On the next "General Hospital" -

Jason: You don't know that you're responsible for this.
Carly: Why are you trying to find out who hit Sam?
Alexis: The text message killer was in her room last night.
Sam: I am telling the truth.
Lucky: That's not my problem anymore.
Sam: Stop!
