Claudia: I've never understood the attraction to women like Kate Howard.

Sonny: You don't know anything about Kate Howard.

Claudia: I know that the two of you were bust, or you wouldn't have been looking to get lucky in that cocktail lounge.

Sonny: I wasn't looking for anything.

Claudia: Really? You could've fooled me.

Sonny: Get your coat.

Claudia: It's hot in here. You don't feel that? What are you doing?

Sonny: Max! Get in here.

Max: What can I do for you, boss?

Sonny: Yeah, this is Claudia -- she's hot.

Max: Extremely.

Sonny: That's not what I meant.

Max: I'm sorry.

Sonny: Are there a lot of people in the coffee shop right now?

Max: Yes, boss, it's busy.

Sonny: Ok, I want you to -- I want you to see Ms. Zacchara to her car.

Max: Yes, boss.

Sonny: No, no, no, no, no. I want you to wait, give her her coat when she gets outside, because we don't want Ms. Zacchara to get overheated.

Claudia: You wouldn't dare.

Sonny: Go!

Sonny: I don't want you anywhere near here. I don't want you, because I don't want your tongue suddenly down my throat and a knife in my back.

Claudia: I don't have to be in knife-throwing distance to take you down.

Claudia: That wasn't a warning, by the way. There won't be a warning.

Alexis: You agreed to keep your eyes on my daughter in her hospital bed while I took a break. But you didn't. You vanished, you disappeared. You want to know what happened while you did that? Some maniac came in and tried to kill her. Then he showed up on my deck and scar the hell out of my other daughter, who's now walking around in a catatonic state. So you have a lot of nerve thinking you can walk in here and apologize to me like you left me in the middle of a movie before it ended, because whatever excuses you come up with won't cut it.

Jerry: I was burying someone, Alexis.

Jason: Don't do anything without proof.

Maxie: Pfft. What are you waiting for? Keep digging.

Spinelli: Well, I -- I still have one more online lesson to complete before I get my Mickey Spillanian sheepskin.

Maxie: Your what?

Spinelli: Doesn't matter. I shall jackal the simian one's medical records and see what I can discover.

Maxie: Great.

Johnny: You really think Logan could be the killer?

Maxie: Why, Johnny? Are you worried about poor Lulu? Don't be -- unless you failed to notice that the text message killer has never come after her, only your maniac father. As long as Logan and Lulu are tight, I'm sure she'll be fine.

Johnny: There could be a problem.

Mike: Hey, guys, have either of you seen Daniel?

Maxie: No. Why?

Mike: Well, he's -- he's been AWOL. He called me with some cock-and-bull story about a pulled muscle in his side, and I -- I haven't heard from him since.

[Jazz plays]

Spinelli's voice: [As Sam Spade] Her lips were a one-way ticket to trouble. And she had these legs -- two. She was the kind of dame you couldn't take home to mother -- without mother wanting to slap some sense into ya.

Mike: What'll it be, doll face?

Spinelli: Try on some respect, Mike-O, you're talking to a lady.

Mike: What'll it be, miss doll face?

Maxie: Maybe something to keep me warm?

Mike: Coming right up.

Spinelli: Beat it, Mike-O. I'll handle this.

Spinelli's voice: I was doing the sap a favor. A couple rounds with this kitten and he'd wind up in a wooden kimono. It wasn't his fault. He just had "chump" written all over him.

Spinelli: Why don't we go someplace where we can be alone?

Maxie's voice: What's wrong with you -- we are alone.

Maxie: And why are you standing so close to me?

Spinelli: [Normal voice] Just -- just putting down my coffee cup. Why don't we go someplace where we can be with other people?

Maxie: Talk some sense, Spinelli. Do you have stuff on Logan or not?

[Lulu shudders]

Logan: It was a bit jarring -- going from death and desert to reality TV and shopping malls. Then I remembered back to the unit. I used to -- to tinker on jeeps and tanks and old trucks. It kept my hands busy and my head down. It kept me -- it kept me from seeing some of the ugliness in the war. I was needed, you know. I don't know -- I thought I could get into a garage. You know, I went around and I got some of this stuff. I've been doing, like, my own refresher course. I -- I thought maybe I could retool some old, you know, car for us and, you know, get a -- get a garage. I've been telling you I wanted to do something with myself. And then I thought, "what -- what is Lulu going to want with a mechanic? Grease on his hands, a loose 20 in his pocket, when Johnny's got -- he's got the cars, he's got the pocketful of cash?"

Lulu: I never compared you to him.

Logan: It doesn't matter, Lulu, I did. I did! That little punk didn't have to do anything, his daddy gave him everything, when I wouldn't take a single thing from my father. Don't you see? Anything I got for -- for me, for us, it -- it had to be gotten with my own two hands. But that -- Johnny was always there. He was in my face, in my face. You know, he's all in your arms.

Lulu: What are you talking about?

Logan: I saw you. I saw you, I saw -- I -- the day that I came on too strong, I -- I went to go find you, to apologize. God, I didn't want to find you where I found you. You didn't want anything to do with me, but you didn't have any problem getting down with Johnny, did you?

[Logan sighs]

[Splash]

Alexis: You're going to need a much bigger bouquet than that if you ever want to show up at my front door again.

Jerry: Actually, it's not for you.

Lainey: Have a seat here. Ok.

Alexis: Hi, sweetie. Feeling all right?

Lainey: Let me talk to you.

Jerry: Hi there, darling. I thought this might brighten your day. See? See how wonderful it looks with your coat? Come on, here, take it. There you go.

Alexis: So?

Lainey: Well, the good news is she's not as shut off as she was the last time.

Alexis: Good news.

Lainey: Well, and the bad news is if we can't get through to what she saw, then it's going to take longer to get through.

Jerry: And the last time was?

Alexis: She saw Sam kill someone.

Lainey: Just watch her, keep engaging her, but don't push the issue of her remembering one way or the other. I'm going to need to see her again soon.

Alexis: All right, I'll call you.

Lainey: Ok. Bye, Kristina. I will see you in the next day or so, all right? And if you want to talk to me, you just tell your mom, ok? Call me if there are any sudden changes?

Alexis: I will. Thank you, Lainey.

Lainey: Ok.

Alexis: Ooh. I'd like to smell that, it smells so good.

[Alexis sniffs]

Jerry: I'd be -- I'd be honored to be added to your patrol.

Alexis: Explain something to me. Why was it so important to you to help Maxie set up this proper burial for Cooper?

Jerry: Well, I didn't get to that because Lainey pulled you into her office and -- I mean, you are still my lawyer, and we still have confidentiality, don't we?

Alexis: Somehow, I'm afraid we still do.

Jerry: Well, it's the past, and I had one with Cooper Barrett. I mean, nothing would be solved by bringing this to light, but -- you see, Cooper Barrett was one of my men during the hostage crisis and Maxie knew it. They were both locked up in the vault together, and somehow they -- they hit it off. And sadly, Cooper Barrett had no one else in the world but that lovesick girl and -- and yours truly, so I -- I just wanted to make it up to them. And I'm sorry about Sam, and I'm sorry about my dereliction of duty -- I apologize.

Alexis: Who are you? Never mind. I'm sure you have other undisclosed confidentialities that could be much worse. Come on, Kristina. Let's go home. Let's go see Molly.

Jerry: Here you go.

Alexis: Thank you. Come on, baby, it's all right. There we go. This way, this way. There you go. Come on, sweetheart, we'll go home and see your sister, huh? We'll make popcorn, watch a Disney movie. Wouldn't that be fun?

Patrick: Hey. You got a minute?

Ian: Well, for you, two -- barring any interruptions from beautiful women.

Patrick: Wow -- still in there.

Ian: Who?

Patrick: My buddy from med school -- from your prior actions, I thought I lost him.

Ian: Yeah, well, earlier I was worried about a patient. What about you? You still the same kind of guy who could ace a P-Chem. final after puking up an all-nighter of tequila at the strip club?

Patrick: It's a theory we could test.

Ian: Life happens. Medicine still holds a lot of possibilities, so do we. Maybe we just need to be more serious about them.

Maxie: Wow -- Logan's medical records? I can't believe you hacked into the hospital's computer.

Spinelli: Federal offense, blond one? If you announce it a little louder, perhaps the -- the authorities will hear you.

Maxie: No one heard me. What's your problem?

Spinelli: No, it just -- look, when The Jackal is in the zone working on a case with my new P.I. license -

Maxie: This isn't an official case, and you're not even a real P.I. yet.

Spinelli: We're on a search for the killer of your wise and compassionate sister -- who secretly and inexplicably had feelings for me. Why I could've inspired such devotion may forever remain beyond my comprehension, but -

Maxie: Is it so hard for you to believe that someone could love you?

Spinelli: Look, I -- I agreed to help you find the person who took her from us, and the thought that she suffered at the hands of the crabby commando, of all people, is -

Maxie: I get it.

Spinelli: Ahem. Um -- ok, so you thought the killer had a -- you thought the killer had a distinctively sweet smell?

Maxie: Yeah, yeah, and dr. Devlin said that that could be a side effect of the experimental drug.

Spinelli: Right, nh08.

Maxie: Right, the drug we found in coop's room.

Spinelli: Right, I will look in Logan's records for a drug of that name or a similarly experimental-sounding moniker.

Maxie: No, Spinelli, that's not right.

[Spinelli stammers]

Spinelli: I can't do this -- I -- I can't do this anymore.

Nikolas: I was right there. I was right there, I started to see it all. There was -- there was someone else in the room. I -- he -- he came out of nowhere and hit me. And -- and I remember I fell, and I -- I looked up and I -- I saw someone, a- a man, I think. He had the cord around Emily's neck. I tried to see his -- his face. I just -

Nadine: And what?

Nikolas: I couldn't. I don't know -- the images, they just -- they went away. Something happened and they just went away.

Emily: I'm here.

Nikolas: She's here.

Nadine: This may sound weird, but Emily was there, too.

Nikolas: Where? What do you mean?

Nadine: Emily -- she can give this whole thing reason.

Nikolas: She's an hallucination -- part of this thing that's growing inside my brain, you understand?

Nadine: Right, which means she's a part of you. And maybe your subconscious can't deal with seeing Emily killed, it's too painful, so it won't let you remember.

Nikolas: I was in a blackout, in a rage. I never remember what happens.

Nadine: Yeah, but I think the part of you that's Emily does.

Lulu: You followed me to the Haunted Star?

Logan: Followed you again. The first time was when you went to patch up crazy boy after he blew up one of his family's boats. I can only imagine what went on the first day. Somehow I figured if you were upset, that's where you would go.

Lulu: No, it wasn't like that. He was hurt, I helped him, and that's it.

Logan: Oh, right, right. So you were drawn back by fate?

Lulu: We didn't do anything.

Logan: Well, you know what? That's not what I saw.

Lulu: Yeah, we kissed, but we stopped -- he stopped.

Logan: Oh! Ok. So I'm supposed to believe that Anthony Zacchara's crazy-as-bat-spit son is really gentleman Johnny, and me, the simian one -- I'm just out for a quick feel?

Lulu: We didn't do anything!

Logan: Why should I believe you? You don't believe me.

Lulu: Because you won't explain why you have those gloves and the mask and this phone!

Logan: I was going to use -- I was going to use it! I was going to use it to set up Johnny, to make him look like the killer. Do you believe that?

Spinelli: Reminder -- personal bubble?

Maxie: What?

Spinelli: My -- you invading my personal bubble -- I -- I can't concentrate!

Maxie: You hacked into the safe at the Metro Court when you were surrounded by armed mercenaries who were shooting at people and threatening to blow the place up, and you're telling me I'm breaking your concentration by just standing next to you? I know what's going on here.

Spinelli: You do?

Maxie: Yeah, well, it's pretty obvious you're not doing a very good job in hiding it.

Spinelli: No, The Jackal -- look, The Jackal is not like other men. A pronounced lack of socialization at an early age left me with erratic and unconventional personal interaction, ok? Whatever you think you may have gleaned from my -

Maxie: I think you pretty much hate my guts.

Spinelli: Oh.

Maxie: And I think you resent the hell out of the fact that I forced you into helping me by threatening violence, but you know what, Spinelli?

Spinelli: I -- well -

Maxie: I don't really give a damn, because this is my sister we're talking about. And I don't care how I make you feel or how uncomfortable you are around with me, you're stuck with me. Because until I'm positive that we found the real killer, I'm going to be the first person you see in the morning, and the last person you see at night before you go to sleep. And if you can't deal with that, tough.

Logan: It wasn't hard to find any of this stuff. You know, I went into the police commissioner's, I went into Sam McCall's, I got a wool cap, I rubbed it around for some D.N.A. I was going to -- I was going to take all of it and put it in the back of Johnny's car and call an anonymous tip. I -- I didn't care whether he was the killer or not, it didn't matter to me. I just wanted time to be alone with you and show you that I loved you, and that there's nothing I wouldn't do for you.

Lulu: No, no, no, you just wanted to cover your own tracks and make another scapegoat like Coop was, so -- another diversion for the police so you could keep on killing.

Logan: No. No.

Lulu: Yes, I am going to go to the police. I'm going -- no --

[Knock on door]

Johnny: Open up the door, Hayes. It's time we had a little chat.

Nikolas: That's crazy.

Nadine: Is it? We don't know half the things the mind is capable of. There's selective memory and sometimes protective memory. Have you ever asked Emily who killed her?

Nikolas: No. She always said I'd never hurt her, though.

Emily: And you never would.

Nadine: You didn't want to believe her.

Nikolas: Look, I thought it was protective memory or whatever. I thought I was blocking out the ugly truth of the whole thing.

Emily: All right, so ask me.

Nadine: So ask her. Ask Emily if she remembers what happened the night she died.

Elizabeth: He was right on the verge of seeing it. He said there was someone else there.

Jason: Well, how do we know it's not just something going on in his brain?

Elizabeth: Because I have believed from the start that there is no way Nikolas could ever kill Emily. When you love someone that much, you protect them, even at the cost of hurting yourself.

Jason: Ok. Just -- just keep me posted, ok?

Elizabeth: Do you think we can see each other tonight?

[Phone rings]

Jason: I'm sorry.

Elizabeth: It's all right.

Jason: Yeah?

Sonny: Where are you?

Jason: I'm taking care of something.

Sonny: Ok, try making one of them your job. Listen, I got a -- I got a report of a shot fired down here near the Taylor building. All right? Kate's been looking to buy the place, so I think we need to scout it out.

Jason: Well, so Kate's our business now?

Sonny: Business is what I tell you, Jason!

Jason: I'm sorry, not tonight.

Elizabeth: It's ok.

Jax: Kate? It's Jax. I'm -- I'm just calling to check in. I know that you were heading down to the Taylor building, and Carly and I were just down there. It's not the safest place, so just be careful and call me as soon as you get this, ok?

Carly: Dr. Lee said that me and the baby are fine.

Jax: But?

Carly: The dizziness was caused by bad circulation, and I need to drink more water.

Jax: Oh, really, you should drink more water? Equal or -- or more than the amount of soda that you already drink?

Carly: And snacks -- I have to eat more snacks.

Jax: Right, like fruit and yogurt -- instead of pretzels and day-old pizza.

Carly: Were you standing outside the door and listening?

Jax: No, I wasn't standing outside the door.

Carly: I'm allowed to have some fun.

Jax: Conceiving our little girl was the fun part. It's boot camp from now on.

Carly: You are just so sure that this is a girl, aren't you?

Jax: Fathers get to have intuition, too, you know?

Carly: Ok, I'm going to let you have it. So when we sit down and we talk to Michael and Morgan, we're going to tell them to brace themselves -- they could have a frilly-pink, doll-carrying, dress-up-playing little sister on the way.

Man: Ready to get underway?

Second man: The anchor's stowed, the lines are secure.

First man: Well, let's go. That cargo's not going to move by itself.

Sonny: Did you tail Claudia?

Max: I tried, boss, but she lost me.

Sonny: Ok, I want you to try harder, because I want to know every move she makes. Because I know she's -

Sonny: Kate? He-- hey? No, no, no, come here. No, no.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Lulu: Aah!
Johnny: Hey!
Jason: What happened?
Sonny: The Zaccharas. They did this.
Emily: Don't you want to know who killed me? Aah! Oh, god.
