Sonny: I need -- I need an ambulance. The Taylor building. A woman's been shot.
Nadine: I'm at a disadvantage here because you can see Emily and talk to her but I can't. So, does she seem to have an opinion on this?
Nikolas: You think that I can't remember who killed Emily because my subconscious doesn't want to relive her death? But that Emily -- this perfect hallucination in my mind -- can?
Emily: Nikolas, I've never tried.
Nikolas: And you won't start now. We're not doing this.
Alexis: I said that you could walk us to the car and somehow you've managed to walk us to the door.
Jerry: Well, you can thank me by mixing me a drink while I check the premises.
Alexis: I told you that I don't need your help.
Jerry: I'm not doing this for you, I'm doing this for Kristina. I'm going to find the person who did this to her.
Lulu: No, no, no, no, you just wanted to cover your own tracks and make another scapegoat like Coop was, make another diversion for the police so you could keep on killing.
Logan: No, no, Lulu.
Lulu: Yes, I am going to go to the police, I'm -
[Knock on door]
Johnny: Open up the door, Hayes. It's time we had a little chat.
Logan: We're going out the back together, ok? It's going to be all right.
[Pounding on door]
Johnny: Hayes!
Logan: Shh, shh, shh. I can't let you go until you believe me, ok?
Johnny: At least have the stones to do this face to face!
Logan: No, I can't let it play out like this again -- Johnny looking like the hero, and me --
Logan: Look, you got to believe me, ok? I'm going to make you believe me. Agh!
Lulu: Johnny! Johnny! Ugh!
Leyla: The plaid one.
Robin: Excuse me?
Leyla: The baby blankets -- it looks like you were having a tough time deciding. I think the plaid one's nice. It could be used for a boy or a girl. Look, we -- um -- work in the same hospital, there's no reason why we can't be civil.
Robin: I just don't really feel comfortable talking about this baby with you.
Leyla: Actually, I was talking about the blanket.
Robin: Well, anything about the baby.
Leyla: Why? You and Patrick have just broken up, I don't understand.
Robin: Patrick is probably not the best subject if we're going to be civil.
Leyla: Uh, ok. I refuse to play this role I've been consigned to.
Robin: "Role"? What -
Leyla: Yes -- predator and home wrecker. You and I both know that's not how it happened. I couldn't break up you and Patrick even if I wanted to -- which I didn't. You know, the only thing more offensive is that it casts you in the role of victim, and you're anything but. You wanted something Patrick couldn't give you, so you moved on. You wanted to have a baby, you decided to use an anonymous donor which, for the record, I think is actually pretty brave. But that's the last I'll say on the subject.
Patrick: So this is where you ran off to?
Robin: I didn't run, I just -- um -- you know, I just really couldn't stand Dr. Devlin's pontificating, heavy bedside manner any longer. If you haven't noticed, I've really tried to avoid him.
Patrick: Really? Funny -- it seems like I'm the one you've been trying to avoid.
Nikolas: Look, I don't care if this is just some trick in my mind. I'm not going to make this perfect image I have of her remember her own death.
Emily: But I want to.
Nikolas: But you can't unless I ask you to, right? I'm not going to ask you to do that.
Nadine: Uh -- trying to rationalize this is like trying to dunk a doughnut by the ears, but let's look at the facts, ok? You had some kind of seizure -
Emily: Because it's getting worse.
Nadine: Probably because the tumor's growing, which caused you to go back to those awful moments before Emily was killed. You were having an episode so you'd blacked out because you thought you did it.
Emily: But it's not true, Nikolas -- we know that now. We just don't know who did it.
Nadine: It's impossible to think of a person you love dying, so you went past that.
Nikolas: Oh, god.
Nadine: But you want closure.
Nikolas: I don't want -- I don't want closure, I want Emily.
Emily: That's not possible anymore, not the real me.
Nadine: You can't have her, but you can have a life beyond this -- with your son and with all the wonderful memories of the person you love, knowing that you didn't do this to her but that you helped bring her killer to justice.
[Nikolas laughs]
Nikolas: And how am I supposed to do that? Right, I -- I tell the police that I heard it from some hallucinogenic hologram?
Nadine: No, you'll tell them that you remembered, because you did. Why are you being so resistant to this?
Marianna: Here you go. Let me know when you're ready.
Ric: What the hell are you doing?
Marianna: I'm sorry. Did you say two over-easy?
Man: Yeah.
Marianna: Ok.
Man: I can't afford daydreams -- neither can you.
Marianna: Toast?
Man: Sure.
Marianna: No more gifts.
Ric: It was Valentine's Day, I just saw it.
Marianna: Huh.
Ric: I thought it would go good with your new coat.
Marianna: Oh, I -- oh, it's beautiful.
Ric: No arguments about accepting anything.
Marianna: Oh, I don't deserve your kindness.
Ric: Hey, everybody deserves kindness.
Marianna: You wouldn't think that if you knew what I'd done.
Ric: What have you done?
Sonny: Hold on, don't quit on me. You wouldn't before no matter how hard I pushed. Listen to me. I know I haven't been able to give you what you need, but I just want you to know -
[Sonny sobs]
Sonny: That I love you -- the girl you were, the woman you are. And I'm begging you from the bottom of my heart -- don't leave me. Please don't leave me.
Jason: Sonny, what happened?
Sonny: Ah.
Jason: What happened?
Sonny: The Zaccharas.
Jason: Are -- are you sure?
Sonny: They did this.
Jason: What -- what did you see?
Sonny: She said I wouldn't see it coming, that there wouldn't be no warning.
Jason: Who -- who said this?
Sonny: Claudia Zacchara.
Jason: When did she say this?
Sonny: She came to my office today. She was saying all kinds of stuff about Kate, trying to get a rise out of me, I took the bait. She wanted to see what kind of weaknesses I had so she can come at me.
Jason: Not -- not like this. It doesn't -
Sonny: She did this!
[Siren]
Jason: Ok, Sonny -
Sonny: If it wasn't her, it was Johnny or his lunatic of a father or Trevor! There's the sirens, let's go. You got to get out of here. Go, go, cops. Hey, listen, listen. I'm going to tell you right now, whoever did this is going to pay, ok? Man: That's it, we're ready to shove off. Come on.
Det. Rodriguez: So you just happened to be walking down the same side of the street at the same time?
Sonny: How is she?
Det. Harper: Let them do their job, help us do ours.
Det. Rodriguez: Just moments before Ms. Howard took a bullet -- you expect us to believe that?
Sonny: I don't give a damn what you believe!
Det. Rodriguez: Did you exchange fire with the shooter?
Sonny: How -- how bad is she? How bad?
Det. Rodriguez: You can answer the questions here or down at the station -- makes no difference to me.
Sonny: Yeah, I'm going to go with them.
Det. Rodriguez: You're not going anywhere.
Sonny: Get your hands off me! The only way you're going to stop me from going into that ambulance is by killing me! Ok, you guys need to get your hands off -
Det. Harper: Ok. All right.
Sonny: She's -- she just got shot!
Det. Harper: We can question you at the hospital.
Robin: I have no reason to avoid you.
Patrick: Yeah, you do -- the baby. It's the elephant in the room, impossible to ignore -- the reason why we broke up, a constant reminder of what went wrong between us.
Robin: Whoa, whoa, I -- I don't think about you nearly as much as you imagine.
Patrick: What about the baby's father? Do you think about him much?
Robin: Well, when you use a sperm bank, they don't give you much information about the donor.
Patrick: You ever wonder about him? I mean, obviously you know his hair color, his eye color, his -- his blood type, but what about the important things? His personality, his lifestyle? You ever wonder if he's a family guy or a free spirit that never really wanted kids on his own?
Robin: Where are you going with this?
Patrick: I guess anywhere you want it to go. Are you uncomfortable?
Ian: You know, just in case the two of you have forgotten. Mr. Cassadine was left upstairs in the throes of some kind of personal nightmare. Do you think we could take the time to treat him before he slips away from us altogether?
Nikolas: I just -- I don't want -- I don't want to put Emily through that.
Emily: Nikolas, I want to do it.
Nikolas: I'm not going to sit here and watch you remember someone killing you.
Nadine: But she wants to do it, doesn't she -- for you?
Nikolas: She'd do anything for me.
Emily: And there's nothing you wouldn't do for me.
Nikolas: Except save you.
Nadine: I know there are only two people in here right now but I am starting to feel like a third wheel, so -- um -- I'm just going to "duck out."
[Door opens and closes]
Nikolas: So what's next? Just sit here and argue with you -- with myself?
Emily: This isn't just about you and me. It's about Leticia and Georgie -- they died, too. And now someone's after Sam and Alexis and Maxie. Don't you want to know who killed me?
Nikolas: Yes. But if I do, I'm afraid you'll go away.
Emily: I know that you don't want to face this. But your tumor is growing. It's already changing how you see me, when you see me.
Nikolas: You look beautiful.
Emily: Yeah, because Nadine called you an idiot and told you to keep celebrating our life and our love while I'm still with you. There's going to be time enough for mourning.
Nikolas: I know. You're right. I know the tumor is growing. And it will until I have no choice. They'll just tear it out of me anyway -- tear you out of me.
Emily: Then let's make every second count.
Alexis: "One day there was a storm and a human was thrown from the deck of his ship. Ariel rescued the man, whose name was prince Eric. She instantly fell in love with him. The evil sea--" let's skip that part. "But prince Eric bravely steered his ship into Ursula and destroyed the giant sea-witch for good."
[Alexis sighs]
Alexis: "King Triton was proud of Ariel and grateful to Eric for saving his undersea kingdom. He turned the little mermaid into a human and gave them his blessing to marry. They sailed off into the sunset, happy at last."
Jerry: No, no, no, I haven't gone after the deed -- I don't need to. You see, I've got a way to bring the deed to me.
Lulu: I -- I came here to prove Maxie wrong and to find out why his dog tags were in coop's room and why he has an injury in the same spot that -- that Sam said she kicked her attacker, and -- and I thought there would be logical explanations. But then I found the ski mask and the gloves and this -- this thing on the phone with a piggyback that makes your text messages untraceable.
Johnny: You sure that's what this is?
Lulu: He admitted it.
Johnny: He did all this.
Lulu: He admitted that he was going to use it all to frame you.
Johnny: Well, it's all over now.
Johnny: Oh, my god.
Lulu: Did I kill him?
Marianna: I have to get back to work. I need this job. And after you leave, I'm -
Ric: I'm not going anywhere, not until you answer my question. What did you want to tell me? I'm in no position to judge, ok? Whatever it is, believe me, I have done things much worse.
Marianna: No.
Ric: You said I don't know you, right? Ok, you're wrong. I know the lengths you're willing to go to to prove what you believe in. You were ready to burn this even though you knew how valuable the land is.
Marianna: Yeah, I wish I had -- even if it meant you hating me.
Ric: How could I hate you? How can I hate you for wanting to save my soul? For wanting to end the cycle that my father started in that house, where I first laid eyes on you? Marianna, I came here looking for answers, ok? And now I -- I realize I was asking the wrong question. It doesn't matter whether I have my name on -- on that piece of paper. The real question is, can I change who I am fundamentally? Can I put someone else first -- other that my daughter, I mean? Can I put myself on the line the way you did for me? And another thing I know about you -- I know you're scared of someone, right, or something? Let me help you, let me in. It doesn't matter what you say, it's not going to change the way I think about you.
Marianna: No -- no.
Ric: Please.
Marianna: No, you won't say that after you find out what I've done.
Man: Marianna, order up.
Marianna: Coming.
Lulu: I can't believe I did this. If anything happens to him -
Lucky: I should've known. I warned you.
Johnny: You warned her about the wrong guy.
Lulu: If Johnny hadn't come, I don't know what would've happened. Logan was freaking out.
Johnny: She figured out Logan was the text message killer. All the evidence is right here -- the gloves, the ski mask, the device used to piggyback the text messages on to other people's phones.
Scott: All right, look, nobody touch anything, this is a crime scene.
Lulu: I didn't mean to hurt him.
Johnny: What the hell are you doing?
Lulu: He was freaking out. When Johnny came in, he grabbed me and he put his hand around my mouth and he tried to take me out of the back and I was really scared. So I grabbed a wrench and -
Johnny: Don't say anything else without a lawyer. You know Baldwin can't be involved in this investigation -- he's Logan's father for god's sake.
Scott: Hey! This is going by the book.
Johnny: What, we're supposed to take your word on that?
Lucky: Baldwin, you know you have to recuse yourself.
Johnny: He won't believe a damn thing Lulu says.
Scott: Lulu is not going to convince me of anything. I already suspected my son is the killer.
Robin: I've known Nikolas for a long time. We've been through a lot together.
Ian: Well, does anything from the good old days actually stand to treat his condition?
Robin: No.
Ian: Well, neither does your drug protocol.
Robin: That's because it needs time to work.
Ian: Well, I'm not sure how much time Mr. Cassadine has left. Well, you just let me know if you can fit us in in between purchases.
Patrick: Ok, you're out of line.
Ian: Why -- for pointing out that Dr. Scorpio and I do not share the same -
Patrick: Dr. Scorpio is a very dedicated physician. Yes, she is pregnant. She's waited a very long time for this and it means a lot, so back off!
Robin: You didn't have to do that.
Patrick: I know.
Emily: I'm not sure what to do.
Nikolas: Neither am I. When I collapsed, it just started coming to me -- I wasn't trying to remember anything.
Emily: All right, so then maybe you just need a little push. Just try to focus on what you saw.
Nikolas: Yeah.
Emily: No.
Nikolas: I can't protect you anymore, you can't stay here!
Emily: No, Nikolas, I never should've left you.
Nikolas: Look, don't you understand? Don't you understand? I'm the one you need to be afraid of.
Emily: No, Nikolas, you would never hurt me!
Nikolas: But you have to leave! You have to leave here right now!
Emily: No, I'm staying here! Nikolas, I'm staying here!
Nikolas: You can't, you can't. Do you understand me? You can't -
Emily: Nikolas! No -- it -- stop --
[Emily gags]
Paramedic: Gunshot. B.P. 70/40, heart rate's 140. You got diminished breath sounds on the left side.
Leo: All right, get her into cubicle one.
Paramedic: All right.
Monica's voice: Chief of cardiology and here I am on the sidelines -- thank you very much, Tracy.
Leo: I'm going to thread in the chest tube. Prep her site. How's her breathing?
Leyla: It's diminished.
Leo: Ok. Excuse me. Prep O.R. Four, ok? I could use you in there, you know?
Monica: Well, thank you for saying that.
Leo: I understand with your daughter's death, it was too soon and still fresh. But you're ready to go. And if it was up to me, you'd be in O.R. with a scalpel in your hand.
Monica: Thank you.
Monica's voice: I would be if Tracy wasn't out to get me.
Leyla: We have to prep her for surgery. Mr. Corinthos, you have to let go.
Sonny: Doctor, can you tell me what she's facing?
Leo: Well, the bullet punctured her lung and it's causing it to deflate. So we're putting in a chest tube in hopes that it'll re-expand. From what we could tell, the bullet is very close to her heart.
Sonny: Tell me, doctor.
Leo: Her heart's in danger, and she could suffer permanent damage.
