[Carly sighs]

Carly: Well?

Jax: I've been to every one of Michael's friends on the list. No one's seen him. I think we should call the police.

Carly: We can't. We can't. Jason's out looking for him. He said not to do anything until we've heard from him.

Jax: Well, hold on a second. Michael's our son, not Jason's. We get to make our own decisions about him.

Carly: No.

Sonny: Hey. You got to come back to me now, because you're -- I'm -- you're killing me here. You got to stay -- she's not -- she's not staying focused.

Leo: She is.

Sonny: I mean, sometimes she does, in and out, and --

Leo: Well, she's just staying focused on healing. She's smart. That's more than I expect from most patients in her position.

Sonny: She smiled earlier, just a little bit, you know?

Leo: Yeah? Well, good. Good. She has a deep connection to you, even in a semiconscious state. It's beautiful, man. Keep that up.

Sonny: I'm not going anywhere.

Leo: We just need to make some assessments. So we won't be long. You can see her in a bit.

Sonny: Um -- all right, all right.

[Sonny sighs]

Jason: How bad is she?

Sonny: Oh -- every-- everybody's going to be better off when I find out who the slob was and put him into the ground. What do you got?

Jason: Michael could be missing.

Lulu: Oh.

Johnny: Hey, sleepyhead.

Lulu: Huh. What -- what are you looking at?

Johnny: Nothing, just watching you sleep. But not in a creepy way. I'm just listening to the pattern of your breathing, thinking that this is the first time in forever I'm just happy to wake up.

Sam: Hey.

Alexis: A penny for your thoughts, or are they too murderous?

Sam: Oh -- no, no. It was nothing like that at all. Even though it should be, considering the hell that you and I have been through, and Maxie. I mean, Georgie and Emily are dead, and Leticia. I just --

Alexis: If it was Logan, he's obviously a very disturbed man.

Sam: But is that him? I mean, really, can -- can you wrap your mind around Logan Hayes being the text message killer?

Alexis: We're not going to know anything until he wakes up. And only then will we know if this nightmare is over.

[Man groans]

Jax: You're actually saying that I can't call the police to search for our missing son?

Carly: I've been through this before. The police aren't going to do anything. He hasn't technically been missing 24 hours.

Jax: Oh. Right, right. Sure. That really wouldn't matter, anyway, would it? Because we're going to do what Jason wants, right? We're going to wait for Jason to exhaust all his mob-related contacts and check up all his mob-related reasons why Michael could be missing. And then we're just going to wait to see what Jason wants us to do -- until he gives us his command, isn't that right?

Carly: Stop. No, stop it! Jason practically raised Michael, ok? He took care of him before I did. He's going to do whatever it takes to find him, Jax.

Jax: Oh, meaning I won't? Meaning I'm not capable?

Carly: No. I never said that.

Jax: Meaning when our child is born, I'm allowed to change diapers and feed the baby and everything, but when something really serious happens, we'll just have to see what Jason says, right?

Carly: Stop it! You stop twisting my words!

Jax: Then stop giving me second-rate status in this marriage!

Carly: I'm not!

[Jax sighs]

Jax: You know what? That's what it -- that's what it feels like. I mean, Jason always comes first. It's "Jason this, Jason that." It's like "Jason's my best friend." I mean, how many times -- you know what? It wouldn't surprise me if you told Jason you wanted us to try to have a baby before you told me. God, I hate it when I'm right. You know, at least I got to father it, right?

Carly: You know what? Jason has been protecting me and my family for a long time, and you know this. He is my dearest friend.

Jax: Yes, yes, and I'm your husband!

Carly: Why can't you just trust him?

Jax: Oh, that's funny. I was going to ask you why you couldn't do the same for me!

[Jax sighs]

Jax: Ugh.

Carly: This is great. This is great.

Jax: I'm -- I am -- I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I don't --

Carly: I am standing here, Jax, and I am scared to death.

Jax: Hey, I don't -- I don't want to fight. Come here. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

[Jax sighs]

[Carly sighs]

Sonny: The Zaccharas have hit with both barrels.

Jason: Sonny, there's no proof Michael being missing has anything to do with Kate or that the Zaccharas are responsible for either one.

Sonny: Just get me the proof.

Jason: Ok, Carly is a wreck, even more so because she --

Sonny: Because what, because she's married to Jax, who's probably on his way here with the cops?

Jason: No. Look, I told her not to do anything till I gave her the word.

Sonny: What we're going to do is we're going to wait to be notified by the Zaccharas as far as the -- what they want to do with the ransom. We bring in the cops right now, Michael pays. As far as -- you know, the other five families -- they know better not to touch this, but there's got to be something that ties all this together. Trevor claims he had nothing to do with the shooting, not that I would believe that sack of spit if he told me the sky was blue.

Jason: Anthony -- Anthony could have ordered this to -- to impress somebody, to prove he still has what it takes.

Sonny: Well, Johnny's proving a lot right now. You know what I'm talking about --

Jason: Yes, and I -- I had Spinelli dig into Claudia's past. There's not -- there's nothing there.

Sonny: Have him dig deeper, because she's the craziest of the bunch. If I had to pick one of them to do this to Kate, it would be that bitch.

Jason: Why?

Sonny: Bec-- let's just say she doesn't take rejection very well.

Trevor's voice: Claudia? Claudia?

Trevor: Claudia --

Claudia: I was just remembering how that nasty tone of command has always been in your voice.

Trevor: Did you do it?

Claudia: What? I've done a lot of things.

Trevor: Did you shoot Kate Howard?

Claudia: See, she's just one of those women who deserves to be shot.

Trevor: Answer the question.

Claudia: Calm down, Trevors. You don't want to give yourself a stroke? Talk about deserving --

Trevor: Enough of your games. Sonny Corinthos almost put a bullet in me outside of Kate's operating room. Did you, or did you not shoot Kate Howard?

Claudia: No.

Trevor: All right. I believe you.

Claudia: Speaking of games -- when were you planning on telling me that you're Sonny Corinthos' stepdaddy?

Ric: Thanks for taking my call, and getting here so quickly.

Elizabeth: Well, you said something about somebody needing medical attention?

Ric: Yes, they do. Come in. I didn't know who else I could call or trust. It's ok.

Elizabeth: What'd you do to her?

Elizabeth: Come with me. Sit down so I can take a look at you.

Ric: I didn't do this -- although with our history, um, it's painfully logical for you to make that leap.

Marianna: No, he didn't touch me. He helped me, maybe he even saved my life.

Elizabeth: Then why didn't you go to the hospital?

Ric: It's ok, we can trust her.

Elizabeth: I'm going to need some warm water and a clean cloth.

Elizabeth: This looks like it might need stitches, but I can't tell until I get it cleaned up. You really need to see a doctor.

Marianna: I can't.

Elizabeth: Why? Are you in trouble?

Marianna: I didn't do anything wrong, if that's what you mean.

Elizabeth: There's nothing on earth a woman could do to deserve this.

[Elizabeth sighs]

Elizabeth: You don't have to explain. Let me just get this cleaned up.

Marianna: You're very kind. You must be Elizabeth.

Johnny: The coffee smells like coffee. I can't say the same for these rolls. You know, there's nothing around here but this seedy little food shack, which is crazy because you've got the marina and the business district within 10 blocks of any direction. Somebody's missing out on a gold mine.

Lulu: That's very business-minded of you.

Johnny: Is that a bad thing?

Lulu: No, it's just not the Johnny that hangs out on rooftops and takes the curves at the lookout point like he's invincible.

Johnny: My possibilities have always been limited living behind the confines of the Zacchara compound. It was always funneled by my father's craziness, my life was filtered by Trevor, and I always felt that I should be alone or that I was alone because it was always too dangerous to involve anybody else, you know?

Lulu: So, what changed?

Johnny: Being free, possibility of you.

Lulu: Huh.

Johnny: What's wrong?

Lulu: Nothing. It's just -- you know, us being here and we're --

[Lulu sighs]

Lulu: Feeling so good, well, you know, because --

Johnny: Right -- it's all riding on the back of Logan's life.

Patrick: I wish I had better news. We can't force him into consciousness. The longer he stays in this state, the more likely he is to slip into a coma which really has no time limit.

Mac: I need some answers.

Scott: Yeah, well, so do I.

Patrick: You're not going to get any, not right now. I'll keep you updated.

Scott: I should've confronted him when I brought him in the hospital for his ribs.

Mac: You couldn't have known.

Scott: Ah, he told me he was in bar fight. He had no money, so I paid his hospital bill, then I find out that Sam kicked her attacker in the ribs before her hit-and-run. I wanted to believe his story and I still do, Mac. Maybe he was just collecting this stuff from the killer, you know, so that he could frame Johnny and make time with Lulu -- and that the killer is still out there.

Mac: We're going to find out sooner or later. Let's just hope it doesn't take another dead body to prove it.

Alexis: And I bought you this phone. It's on my calling plan. It's a home, office, and entertainment system on it. You can do whatever you want. You can D.V.D., play music, play games.

Sam: Hey --

Alexis: You can mix drinks.

Sam: Whoa, whoa, whoa -- wait. Can you make phone calls?

Alexis: I have no idea.

Sam: Oh, great.

Alexis: But I figured it'll take you some time figuring out whether you can or not and it'll help you pass the time.

Sam: Huh, thank you. Oh, you know what? I actually talked Dr. Devlin into sending me home today. I just -- I really want to go home.

Lucky: I don't think you should do that.

Sam: Why -- do you have a better idea?

[Pager beeps]

Lucky: We need to talk about this.

Alexis: He is trying.

Sam: No, he is guilty. And you know, there was a time when I would've probably used that to hold on to him, but no, not now.

Alexis: Why don't you come home with me? It'll make Kristina feel better.

Sam: I don't know. I don't want to scare her, I'm using a cane, and --

Alexis: Ok, why don't you come home -- you know, make me feel better?

Sam: I would say thank you, and I'm saying it -- "thank you." But, you know, I think I am perfectly capable of being home alone right now. Being careful... it's very important to me.

Ric: We pretty much drove all night. There was no place that we could stop that wouldn't involve questions and consequences that Marianna can't afford. Even if they were able to lock up the guy who brought her from Venezuela under false pretenses, they'd still probably hold her somewhere and then ship her out of the country. All of her choices would be gone -- again.

Elizabeth: It's disgusting that any man would hold a woman against her will.

Marianna: Yeah.

Ric: Yeah, look, I'm going to -- um -- I'm going to call in some favors. You know, immigration law is a whole -- whole new ballgame since 9/11. A lot of innocent people are getting hurt. You know, Marianna's very resourceful and brave. She'd capture the moths in the coffee shop and set them free rather than kill them. You know, that's not exactly the makings of a terrorist.

Elizabeth: This is just an analgesic, but it'll help with the pain, but you really need to lie down and rest.

Marianna: Ok.

Ric: And don't worry about Randy, ok?

Marianna: You don't know him.

Ric: He doesn't know me, right? Look, there's a -- there's a guestroom back there, it's quiet, nobody will bother you. You can take a bath if you want to -- there's lavender soap in the cabinet.

Marianna: Thank you so much.

Elizabeth: You're welcome.

Elizabeth: Well, for all you know about her, she doesn't really know you at all, does she?

Jerry: Oh, Alexis? Hello.

Alexis: Hi.

Jerry: How are you holding up?

Alexis: I'm still standing, thank you.

Jerry: I thought you could use some moral support with Kristina.

Alexis: Well, I was just going to pick her up from Dr. Winters and then we're going home.

Jerry: Oh, is there any improvement?

Alexis: No.

Jerry: No? I'm sorry. I heard they caught the text message killer -- Logan Hayes?

Alexis: I know. If it's him, I don't understand why she would react so violently to him and then just shut down.

Jerry: Hmm. Is Ric home yet?

Alexis: No. Why would he be?

[Phone rings]

Jerry: Oh. Oh, I have to take that. I'll meet you there when you're done, ok?

Alexis: Got another body to bury?

[Jerry and Alexis chuckle]

Jerry: Talk to me. Are you sure? Do you have any idea how many people are going to be upset by this news?

Carly: Wow. That is a cool picture. Why don't you go upstairs and color, and you can get cleaned up a little bit, ok?

Morgan: Where's Michael?

Jax: Michael's off on an adventure. I'm sure he can't wait to tell you about it when he gets back.

Carly: Thank you.

Jax: You know, Michael's probably just off on a lark. He's been moody, we've been strict. I ran away once when I was 9.

Carly: That supposed to make me feel better?

Jax: Well, I was back by supper.

Carly: Oh. If this hadn't happened before, you know, I'd --

Jax: Oh, you -- oh. You mean with A.J. and Faith Rosco?

Carly: Yeah.

Jax: That's why you're so worried.

[Carly sighs]

Jax: That's why Jason's being extra careful. Still, I -- I'd like to explore the less drastic reason why he's missing. Just a boy who threw some food into his backpack and wanted some time on his own. Maybe he got on a -- on a bus or -- or a boat or maybe he took a train somewhere. You going to be ok for a little while?

Carly: I'll call my mom.

Jax: You know what? You can tell her the good news.

Carly: Now is not the time. You know, it's just not.

Jax: You told Jason, didn't you?

Carly: Yes, I did, yeah.

Jax: Good -- give him extra motivation to find our boy.

Carly: Oh, please find him.

Sonny: Where'd you find it?

Jason: One of our guys found it off near pier 47.

Sonny: Pier 47? That's about two blocks down across from the Taylor building where we found Kate.

Jason: Right.

Sonny: So, Michael's disappearance and Kate's shooting are connected.

Sam: Oh.
