[Shower runs]

[Music plays]

Singer: You walked into the room last night

[Shower stops]

Singer: Shook my hand and left me mesmerized the way you move I stand here craving without a clue on top of cloud nine

Patrick: Oh, you got it?

Robin: Yeah. It's really great, thanks.

Patrick: You're not so great. Want to tell me what's really going on with you?

[Robin sighs]

Sonny: I'm sorry to bring up business, you know I can't explain anything.

Kate: I didn't say a word.

Sonny: You ok? You didn't have to say a word because I saw that look on your face -- the same look that you used to have when we were teenagers and somebody would say "Joe Scully."

Kate: Yeah. [New York accent] I shoulda taken the bum out when I had the chance.

Sonny: Well, you got to be careful, because you know what? You don't want to slip and say something that Connie's going to regret later. Listen, um, on a serious note, you -- you have no idea who did this to you?

Kate: [Normal voice] No, Sonny.

Sonny: Ok, listen to me. Who was the last person you saw that day?

Kate: Trevor. And it wasn't a pleasant exchange.

[Knock on door]

Sonny: I'll be right back, ok? Ok?

Jason: Hey, just try to calm down and breathe, ok? Just breathe.

Jax: What happened?

Carly: I just had a pain.

Jax: Well, call 911.

Carly: No, no, I don't want to leave Morgan.

Jax: Mercedes is here with him.

Carly: Lorenzo Alcazar may still be alive.

Lucky: Hey. How would you feel about me taking Cameron and Jake away for a few days for some father/son bonding?

Elizabeth: What about Sam?

[Sam struggles]

[Phone rings]

Diego: Ooh. Well, look who's here -- the nasty perra who put me in jail.

[Diego chuckles]

Patrick: Everything's ok with the pregnancy, right?

Robin: The fact that I could pass H.I.V. on to my child is always my concern. But I'm taking good care of myself, and so far, the baby's fine.

Patrick: No second thoughts about using a sperm bank instead of the old-fashioned way?

Robin: I'm not sure there's anything old-fashioned about going around asking guys to donate sperm.

Patrick: I mean the old-fashioned conception way -- one guy, one girl.

Robin: You know what? Just stop.

Patrick: What?

Robin: The words "one guy and one girl" coming out of your mouth is a joke, ok? You love all women, all shapes and sizes -- blond, brunette, bald.

Patrick: Ok, Robin, whatever you think you heard, there's --

Robin: You're living the dream, and we're just here to accessorize it. And second of all --

Patrick: I --

Robin: You didn't want a family -- that's the reason we broke up. So for you to talk about loving conception like it's not a big deal -- it's a big deal to me, ok? So for you to stand there and make jokes about it --

Patrick: I wasn't joking about it.

Robin: It's not fair, and it's not nice. Thank you very much for the gift, but you don't have to play uncle Patrick, act like you're interested.

Patrick: I am interested.

Robin: Why? We broke up. I am moving on with my life, a life that you wanted no part of.

Patrick: Because, Robin, you're alone, ok? And I understand you have friends and everything else --

Robin: And friends are all I need! I made a decision to have this baby without its father's knowledge or input. It's my joys, my burdens, my baby. It's for me to deal with.

[Phone rings]

Maxie: Oh -- dad, what is it?

Mac: I've got some news about the text message killer.

[Sam screams, muffled]

Diego: Oh, no, shh.

[Sam screams]

Diego: Shut up.

[Sam whimpers]

Sam: Ow!

Diego: Hey, shut up, shut up!

Maxie: I'm sorry, I'm getting really lousy reception, I can't hear you.

Mac: Logan slipped into a coma. They won't be getting any information from him for a while.

Lucky: You know, Sam isn't a part of the picture anymore. So you don't have to worry about her being around the boys, especially Jake.

Elizabeth: So you're going to take the boys and --

Lucky: For a few days of fishing. You know, Jake -- he's just at the age where he's too young to get anything more than a few people making a fuss over him. And Cameron -- he's getting at the age where he, you know, needs a father. Or maybe I just need a son to teach a few things that were never taught to me.

Elizabeth: I wasn't attacking Sam. I -- what about her hit-and-run case, is it still open?

Lucky: I'm not in charge anymore. I was just way too close. Sam -- she doesn't want me doing it out of guilt.

Elizabeth: Well, I'm sure it's hard for you to be around her -- because you still care about her.

Lucky: Yeah, I do. Sam was right, I do feel guilty. Because if we hadn't fought, she hadn't -- she wouldn't have run out there. And Logan Hayes -- he wouldn't have ran her out in front of a car.

Elizabeth: Don't -- don't do that, you were not behind the wheel of that car.

Lucky: Yeah, but there is a chance that that case may never be solved. Unless, of course, you know, the person that ran Sam down in the road grows a conscience and comes forward.

Det. Harper: Hey, we need to talk. There's been a new development in the text-message-killer case.

Jason: There you go.

Jax: You know, the last thing Carly needs is for you to frighten her with all this garbage about alcazar. She already proved he was alive, all right? Isn't that why the charges were dropped against you? Come on, let's go, I'll take you to the hospital.

Carly: No, wait. What Jason is trying to say is alcazar may be here.

Jax: Well, if that's the case, I'm sure Sonny will want to talk to Jason about his job performance, huh, his failure to execute?

Carly: What if Lorenzo is the one who took Michael?

Jax: If that's the case, I'm sure he would've contacted one of us by now, huh, already twisting the knife. Isn't that how it works in your line of business, huh?

Carly: No, don't -- don't take this out on Jason because he didn't do anything!

Jax: Of course. He never does anything -- even when a murder's been committed.

Jason: You know what? We'll talk about this later.

Carly: No, Jason, we have to talk about this --

Jason: Carly, just please go get yourself checked out, ok?

Jax: I agree with him. Come on, let's go. Come on, let's go.

Carly: I am fine! I am fine, the pain has passed. Sometimes you have pains in your first trimester, it's ok.

Jax: You just -- you don't want to leave Morgan because -- because Jason has scared you.

Carly: Jason didn't do anything, he was trying to help me, Jax. That's it, he was helping me breathe, he was talking to me.

Jax: You know what? Let me just get one thing straight. Jason is not going to be the anointed guardian of our child like he is with Michael and Morgan, ok? That's not going to happen.

Sonny: All right, part one has been taken care of. Here's part two -- Trevor Lansing.

Kate: Hmm -- back so soon? Do I know you?

Claudia: No. But I know you. And I think it's time introductions were made.

Nadine: You know, my aunt Rayleen used to predict the sexes of people's kids all the time -- before they were born, I mean.

Robin: Ok, I'll bite. How could she tell if it was a boy or a girl?

Nadine: Well, I know the first thing was that you had to remember if the baby was conceived on a sad day or a happy day. And then whether you woke up the next morning facing east or west.

Nadine: And then the last thing is whether the first thing you had to eat in the morning was salty or sweet.

Nadine: I know it's different with artificial insemination -- which always struck me as a contradiction in terms -- but can you remember any of that?

Robin: Actually, I remember in great detail. So what does it all mean?

Nadine: I forget.

Robin: Wait. You know, I -- I'm already buried in stuffed animals and it's going to be months until I deliver, so maybe this will brighten the day of one of your sick kids in pediatrics.

Nadine: Thanks. See ya.

Leo: I have to say it -- I did good. And you -- you've been a model patient.

Epiphany: I'm not paying for any extra bedside manner, especially the kind that comes laced with sarcasm. So whatever kind of party you people have been having while I've been in here is over.

Cassius: Yep, I'd say she's just about ready -- if not to leave, definitely ready to blow.

Leo: Mm-hmm.

Epiphany: I've been ready to get out of this room since I got in it.

Cassius: But your heart isn't.

Leo: Look, one more night isn't going to do any harm. Ok, maybe for the duty nurse assigned to you, but --

Epiphany: You've got to the count of five.

Leo: You're welcome.

Cassius: So -- um -- how you feel?

Epiphany: Why are you asking? Haven't you been standing outside the door for the last 10 minutes listening?

Cassius: How do you feel?

Epiphany: Like a failure.

Ric: You ok now?

Marianna: Yeah.

Ric: Uh-huh?

Marianna: No.

Ric: No?

Marianna: Maybe.

Ric: Ok. Now that we've covered all the bases, I -- I can't let you off the hook here.

Marianna: You know, I just feel like I'm taking advantage of you.

Ric: Look, I took you out of a violent and untenable situation.

Marianna: You walked into an argument.

Ric: They call that "domestic violence" in the law, ok, Marianna? Your -- I don't know -- keeper, ex-keeper is lucky that he's not in jail.

Marianna: No, I'm lucky that I'm not being deported.

Ric: I'm working on that. I'm making a few phone calls, and before you know it, we'll have everything taken care of. You don't have to worry, all right?

[Knock on door]

Marianna: Should I go?

Ric: No, no, no, no, no, you -- you don't have to hide, ok? If it's my father, he's not welcome back in here, and if it's anybody else, it's about time that they knew about you.

Ric: Hey.

[Alexis giggles]

Alexis: Hi.

Ric: How are you, sweetheart?

Alexis: We got your message, but you didn't have to --

Marianna: Hello.

Mike: Here you go -- does this come with it?

Spinelli: Thank you, senior, sir.

Mike: Ok. Absolutely.

Scott: Spinelli --

Lucky: Hey, hey, hey --

Det. Harper: Scott, Scott --

Scott: You're going to pay for what you did!

Spinelli: What -- what did I do to incur the wrath of elder Baldwin?

Scott: Shut -- shut up, you little fly, you put my son in a coma for no reason!

Mike: Hey, hey -- except he attacked innocent women. I was there when he went after Alexis.

Scott: My son is not the killer! I got proof, Mike! Real proof.

Maxie: So, what happens now?

Mac: We wait for Logan to wake up.

Maxie: That's it?

Mac: There's nothing else we can do. Look, I'm sorry, I want to see this guy be brought to justice as much as you do.

Maxie: "Anxious" isn't the word. I can't wait to look into the eyes of the man who killed my sister and tell him exactly what I think about him.

Diego: I can't wait.

Scott: You and your little Mickey Mouse Club, and your sister --

Lucky: Logan attacked Lulu.

Scott: He didn't attack her, he grabbed her. She just thought he was going to attack her, but why wouldn't she think that? I mean, her father is a rapist.

Lucky: Oh, hey, and who made sure she found out about it?

Mike: Ok, ok, wait a minute, wait a minute, what's changed here? Logan's in a coma, so how does anybody know one way or another if he's the killer?

Lucky: It looks like he has an alibi the night the text message killer attacked Sam on the docks before she was chased in front of a car.

Scott: Now, you listen to me, you little junior detective --

Spinelli: There -- there was reasonable evidence!

Scott: There was circumstantial evidence!

Spinelli: What about the ribs?

Scott: He was in a fight. I know that for a fact because I saw them bring the -- these kids in, these -- these punks in that were arrested for drunk-and-disorderly.

Det. Harper: They have a record for getting high and busting up bars all over the town. One of the owners came forward, said he recognized Logan, apparently got into a fight with these guys the same night Sam was hit.

Spinelli: So --

Scott: So he never saw Sam. He is not the killer! He has not killed anybody!

Diego: Come on, baby, get off the phone with daddy so we can make some noise.

Maxie: Well, isn't there enough to charge Logan with anyway?

Mac: No. And whatever pill you and Spinelli found in coop's room, there was no trace of it in Logan's system.

Maxie: That doesn't mean he's innocent.

Mac: Or guilty. Look, I've got to go. I've got calls coming in.

Maxie: Well, dad, you can't just give up on Logan as a suspect. The attacks are going to stop now, you'll see.

Diego: Ah.

Diego: Damn! She got away -- and I took too long to recover from that injury.

[Sam screams]

Diego: Now we're going to get serious!

Robin: Ugh!

Patrick: Am I allowed to ask?

Robin: Angie Smith.

Patrick: Sick pregnant woman who was brought into the E.R.?

Robin: The woman who was refused treatment because she didn't have insurance.

Patrick: Her husband handled the insurance issue when he came out with a bomb strapped to his chest.

Robin: It wasn't real.

Patrick: Robin, you can't run around threatening people's lives.

Robin: His wife could barely stand up. I -- I mean, their unborn child was in jeopardy. What would you have done in his place? You know what? Never mind. That question doesn't apply to you because you would never know what it's like to be in that position. You don't understand what it's like, what that guy is going through locked up, knowing that he had the right to be desperate.

Patrick: The system failed him, what can I --

Robin: And it will continue to fail him. His baby still might die.

Patrick: How do you know all this?

Robin: Because Kelly has a friend at County that saw Angie in the waiting room -- she was never seen -- and my uncle Mac is working up a case against Joe. So even if by some miracle this baby is born, Joe won't be there to see it, and it's their first child -- probably their only child.

Patrick: It's how things happen sometimes, Robin.

Robin: Could you be any more cold and clinical?

Patrick: I analyze things -- it's what I do, that's why I'm a good doctor.

Robin: Yeah, well, there's more to life than being a good doctor.

Patrick: Cancel my consultations this afternoon, please.

[Monitor beeps]

Claudia: Personally, I've always found American fashion so conservative -- useless, really.

[Monitor beeps rapidly]

Claudia: Something I gave up at a young age -- along with my virginity.

[Kate coughs]

Kate: I still haven't caught your name -- ahem.

Jason: I know you don't want to hear this, but we need to deal with the possibility that Alcazar is still alive.

Sonny: Alcazar didn't know what was coming, didn't know what hit him and now you're telling me he's still aboveground.

Jason: No, I'm saying that I don't know.

Sonny: Michael is out there somewhere. Every hour that goes by, the odds go up that I'm not going to see my son, and we're chasing phantoms?

Jason: No, I -- I want to find Michael as much as you do, but I'm not determined to pin it on the Zaccharas.

Sonny: It makes more sense than anything you're telling me.

Jason: What, like Alcazar didn't have a score to settle with the people that this -- this killer went after?

[Alarm]

P.A. Announcer: Code blue, I.C.U. Two.

Sonny: Excuse me -- no, no -- what -- what happened?

Regina: You can't be in here. Get out so we can help her!

Sonny: I just want to know what happened to her!
