[Alarm]
Sonny: Hey, hey, hey --
Claudia: Oh --
Sonny: Listen to me.
Claudia: Hey, hey --
Sonny: What did you do?
Claudia: You have a real paranoid streak, has anybody ever told you that?
Sonny: Kate was fine when I left her room. What did you do?
Jason: Sonny --
Claudia: Oh, you are obviously the calmer, more collected half of the Corinthos-Morgan enterprises here.
Sonny: I'm not dealing with this.
[Claudia sighs]
[Gurney rolls]
Sonny: Jason? Do something with her.
Claudia: By all means, do something with me.
Leo: It looks like she's got a collapsed lung, we're going to have to do a second chest tube.
Sonny: Why is that?
Leo: We don't have time for this, Mr. Corinthos.
Sonny: Ok, can you -- can you tell me if she's all right?
Leo: Yes, yes, but she needs rest, and anything you can do to help facilitate that would be greatly appreciated.
Cassius: What do you think you're a failure at?
Epiphany: Being a nurse.
Cassius: I think you wound up here because you're too good of a nurse -- you're too dedicated. I mean, you come on like a landslide, but you do clear a path for a purpose, and that's to help people.
Elizabeth: I hear I am being officially relieved of duty? Let me tell you, I will be relieved because I don't know you do it.
Epiphany: Apparently, not very well, or else I wouldn't have wound up here.
Cassius: She thinks she's a failure because she had a heart attack.
Epiphany: Don't tell the world my business.
Cassius: I -- look, I'll be right back.
Epiphany: I should've known what was happening to me -- I'm a nurse.
Elizabeth: You're also human -- sometimes we forget that. We also forget that it's not just men who have heart attacks.
Epiphany: Particularly, some old fool who's trying to keep up in bed with some sweet young thing.
Elizabeth: You didn't fail in anything. You just ignored some of the signs.
Epiphany: While I've been in here, I've been trying to tell myself that I wasn't a failure as a mother. I lost that argument, too.
Carly: Morgan? Morgan? Hey. Come here. Can I have a hug? Hmm. Hey, you know what? Why don't you go upstairs and you tell Mercedes that we are going to have ice cream in the kitchen, ok?
Morgan: What about Michael?
Carly: We can eat around the outside of the ice cream and leave the middle for Michael. We can make a really big bowl for him, ok? Ok.
Jax: You should sit down. Maybe I can draw you a bath, give you a massage or something.
Carly: No, I'm fine. You heard the doctor -- she said I'm fine.
Jax: Yes, I also heard her tell you to minimize your stress.
Carly: It's going to be a little difficult with Michael, you know -- wherever he is. He doesn't even know he has a brother or a sister on the way. Maybe I shouldn't have been so selfish, you know? Maybe I should've just told him, and things would've turned out differently -- he would've stayed closer to home. Maybe he would've gone left instead of right or whatever.
[Carly sighs]
Jax: Stop second-guessing yourself.
Carly: I can't help it.
Jax: It's not good for you or Michael, it's not going to help.
Carly: I just should've been more aware, more prepared.
Jax: You know what? The important thing is you've prepared him. Ok, you've been preparing him for 12 years and he knows that. He -- he knows that you love him. He knows that you will move heaven and earth to bring him home. And you know what else? He takes after you -- he's a survivor. But this little one? This little one hasn't had the chance to learn from its mother yet. This little baby's very vulnerable. We need to take extra care of him.
Carly: I know, I know.
Jax: And I'm sorry that I got mad about Jason. I really am. I've been -- I've been getting upset a lot lately, ever since I found out that you were pregnant, and I don't want to be like that, I'm sorry.
Carly: That's ok.
Jax: I'm just -- I'm just scared.
Carly: I know, I am -- I'm scared, too. But I'm telling you, Jax, the thought that Lorenzo Alcazar could be alive -- that just freaks me out because there are so many people in Port Charles that he blames for hurting him and his family.
Marianna: Why don't I make us some coffee and cookies?
Ric: You -- you don't have to serve us.
Marianna: Given everything, it seems it's the least I can do.
Alexis: Ok -- uh -- thank you. I'll take mine with --
Marianna: Black, one sugar -- no, two.
Ric: Oh.
Alexis: How did you know that?
Ric: It's a gift.
Marianna: It's more like a quirk.
Ric: Mm-hmm.
Marianna: I'll be back.
Alexis: Come here, sweetie. Come sit down here, ok? There you go.
Ric: Hmm?
Alexis: So, uh, you sounded happy when you called --
Ric: Hmm.
Alexis: Lighter. Now I know why.
Ric: Well, I went off to sift through the wreckage of my childhood, and Marianna was just something that was unexpected.
Alexis: I think she's lovely. And I'm sorry about that mess, her immigration mess that the jerk left her with.
Ric: Yeah. I'm going to need some help from you -- changing her status here in the states. Yeah, I burned a few bridges, if you must know.
Alexis: You think?
Ric: Yeah.
Alexis: You think? Yeah, well -- so what are you going to do with that waterfront property that Skye gave you?
Ric: I haven't even signed the papers yet. Yes, yes, I know. The opportunity to hold at much power over Sonny and my father and anybody else I've got it in for -- how unlike me not to grab it.
Alexis: I think that sounds good -- whatever the reason.
Ric: You look tired -- no offense.
Alexis: I am, but you didn't need to come back.
Ric: Well, Jerry seemed to think so.
Alexis: Jerry called you?
Ric: Mm-hmm. He said that things were getting a little harried for you here.
Alexis: Well, they're evening out. Sam's out of the hospital --
Ric: Good.
Alexis: She's being annoyingly independent.
Ric: Huh -- like her mother.
[Alexis chuckles]
Ric: Sorry.
Alexis: It's ok.
[Ric chuckles]
Alexis: You know, it -- it turns out that Logan Hayes might be the text message killer.
Ric: You're kidding.
Alexis: We'll talk about it later.
Ric: Ok.
Alexis: Right now I'm concerned about Kristina -- who's not here. Where is she? Kristina?
Ric: Kristina? Honey?
Marianna: Looks like somebody was hungry after all, huh, baby? Hmm.
Robin: Check in about an hour.
Patrick: Hey, you got a minute?
Robin: No.
Patrick: Robin, stop.
Robin: Stop what?
Patrick: Stop being so hostile and defensive when all I'm trying to do is help.
Robin: I know what you're trying to do. You're trying to be nice to me to make up for the fact that you didn't want to have a baby with me. You're trying to make up for the fact that you thought I was a fool to ask my friends to dinner in hopes of a sperm donation.
Patrick: Robin, stop, please, just give me a minute. There's something I want to show you. Will you just -- please?
Robin: How?
Patrick: The charges are still pending on Joe. In the meantime, all he needed was bail money -- a lot of it. I convinced Mac that he's hardly a flight risk.
Robin: But they don't have any insurance -- Joe had to close his shop.
Patrick: Yeah, I talked to my friends down at the speedway. It turns out Joe really does know his car. They were so impressed that they hired him on the spot -- agreed to waive the six-month wait time for health coverage, so --
Joe: Hey, doc?
Patrick: Yeah?
Joe: I -- uh -- I don't even know how to thank you. We know it's a girl, and we've been holding off on names, you know, but now we're thinking "Patricia" -- if that's ok with you?
Patrick: Yeah. Yeah, I'd be honored.
[Joe laughs]
Joe: Thanks, bud.
Patrick: Yeah.
Epiphany: It's these damn meds they're giving me. I hate the side effects -- they make me --
Elizabeth: Slow down?
Epiphany: Sad. I'd wake up in here feeling sorry for myself, because of the condition that I'm in, because my son didn't have the decency to come see me. And then I'd realize that I didn't have a son anymore. Maybe I work as hard as I do because I don't want to stop and think about where I've been a failure.
Elizabeth: Your son was a kind man who cared deeply about others and -- and gave a voice to people who didn't have one. I mean, he put himself on the line for what he believed.
Epiphany: And he would up working for bad people and dying in a ditch.
Elizabeth: Things happen that are out of our control. I turn my back for 10 seconds, my little boy threw a match in the trash can -- I could've lost everything.
Epiphany: I hovered over Stanford when he was a baby. I'd sit by his crib and sing him one more lullaby, just in case he really wasn't asleep -- at least, that's what I told myself. What I wouldn't give -- you -- you better go. If I broke down in front of you now, there'd be hell to pay to get you to do anything for me later.
Elizabeth: We all listen. You are very respected and --
Epiphany: Feared.
Elizabeth: And loved. You were missed more than you know.
Epiphany: I'm going to make you eat those words.
Elizabeth: Bring it on.
Jason: You need to leave.
Claudia: You know, I distinctly heard your boss tell you to do something with me.
Jason: Yeah -- and I just told you to leave.
Claudia: Ok, look, if you're more of the enforcer than the idea man, that's fine because I have enough ideas for the both of us.
Jason: Do you have a death wish?
Claudia: Come on, if you thought I actually did something to Kate Howard, I would already be a -- a beautiful corpse.
Sonny: Jason -- what the hell is she still doing here?
Claudia: I'll get him to ease up on you.
Jason: She's leaving.
Claudia: Look, before you go postal on some poor orderly, you should know the lady -- as you call her -- was already having breathing trouble when I walked in.
Sonny: Well, you shouldn't have walked in in the first place.
Claudia: Well, I was just checking out my competition.
Sonny: Kate Howard doesn't have competition.
Claudia: Really? I don't think she'd feel that way if she knew how we met -- a couple of drinks in a bar, a little napkin foreplay.
Sonny: Ok -- come here. You listen to me, all right?
Claudia: Uh-huh. What?
Sonny: You steer clear of me and anybody I care about.
Claudia: Or what?
Sonny: Ask your brother.
Jason: She's going to be a problem.
Sonny: She already is.
Jason: What'd you mean about Johnny?
Lucky: I want all the evidence you and Maxie think you have on this text message killer. Either you bring it down to the station, or I will be back with a warrant and I will take that laptop -- you got 24 hours.
Spinelli: I -- I will comply.
Lucky: You better. Who knows what could happen to everything you got on there? You know there's a nasty virus going around. We have to go fill in Mac on what's going on, so when you see his daughter -- you know, the one that's still alive? -- You tell her to leave this alone before she gets hurt.
Mike: Whew. So, hi -- hi.
Woman: Hi.
Mike: Haven't you been here before?
Woman: Why, yes, I have -- what a wonderful memory you have. And, of course, I remember you -- such nice eyes.
Mike: Well -- uh -- thank you. Uh -- so, is there anything I can get you this time?
Woman: Well, I'd like to reserve some tables for tomorrow --
Mike: Oh, fine, fine --
Woman: Afternoon.
Mike: How many?
Woman: Six of my sisters.
Mike: Oh -- big family.
Woman: In the hundreds of thousands. And I need to hang up a sign, and there'll be a special menu.
Mike: Oh, a special menu? Well, that's kind of short notice for that, you know, I --
Woman: It's all taken care of -- you'll be serving this lovely soup.
Mike: Oh -- "Campbell's Healthy Request." That's great, great, but I -- I don't think this is going to be enough to go around.
Woman: Oh, we'll bring plenty, sweetie.
Mike: Oh, ok.
Woman: Ok. See you tomorrow.
Mike: Ok.
Woman: Such nice eyes.
Maxie: Oh, Spinelli, I have some really lousy news -- Logan is in a coma.
Spinelli: I have worse news the crabby commando is not the text message killer.
Maxie: What? How can you be sure?
Spinelli: Apparently, he has an alibi for the night that everyday hero Sam was attacked.
Maxie: Why didn't you call me and tell me? I was just at Sam's. I could've warned her.
Cassius: I've been looking out for them ever since you've been in here. Apparently, you must've been holding on to this when you had your heart attack.
Epiphany: Well, I guess if anything could attack your heart, this would be it. I still don't know how Stanford wound up in something like this. I haven't talked to anybody, make any arrangements.
Cassius: You'll have a lot more questions about your son's death, and believe me, they will all be answered.
Epiphany: Why do you care, Cassius?
Cassius: Now, that's a question I can answer, but I'm not going to -- not until tomorrow.
[Robin sighs]
[Robin sniffles]
Robin: You have to stay away from me, ok? I have a consultation. I have to be a doctor, not a hormonal expectant mother.
Patrick: That's not what this is about, is it? It's not about hormones?
Robin: Well, I should know. It's my body, it's my baby.
Patrick: Your baby -- yes, I know. I got it.
Robin: What you did in there for Joe and Angie -- that was --
Patrick: I just think a father should be there when his baby's born -- just like the father of your baby should be there. It's not just your baby, is it? It's --
Elizabeth: Lucky wants to spend some more time with Cameron and Jake.
Jason: That's ok.
Elizabeth: I'm afraid -- it's looking more and more like I'm the one who actually hit Sam, and I don't know how much longer I'm going to keep to myself. I mean, if I go to jail --
Jason: No, no, don't even start thinking about that right now.
Elizabeth: Then what's going to happen to my boys?
Jason: Just -- just give me a little more time.
Sam: Ow!
Diego: Oh.
Sam: Where are we?
Diego: Home sweet home. You know, it's going to be really sad to say goodbye.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
[Timer beeps] Claudia: Sonny said something about Johnny. If John's hurt, all bets are off. Sonny: My son is missing!
