Jax: Hey.
Carly: Hey.
Jax: You ok?
Carly: I'm not going to be ok until Michael's home. Where is he, Jax? Why hasn't he called again? God, what if he's --
Jax: Hey. You know, I talked to my investigators again.
Carly: No word?
Jax: No.
Carly: No.
Jax: You know, maybe it's time we brought the police in on this.
Peg: Where do you think you're heading?
Ric: After you.
Alexis: Thank you.
Ric: Mm-hmm.
[Phone rings]
Maxie: Spinelli, hey. Did you find Michael?
Spinelli: Um -- Jackal, P.I., has encountered resistance of a most unusual nature.
Maxie: What happened? Where are you?
Spinelli: Um -- the waterfront, earnestly in need of the helpful blond one's fashion expertise. Please.
Ric: So, how are things in the D.A.'s office?
Alexis: All right, if this is about the Addison case that I picked up on where you left off, that I actually strengthened for you, then --
Ric: No. Hey, hey -- no, no need to explain. I'm sure you are handling it perfectly.
Alexis: Just like that?
Ric: Just like that.
Alexis: You're not going to argue, or spar with me, or pick apart the minutiae of the case?
Ric: Do I look like a man who's wallowing in minutiae?
Alexis: No, actually, you don't.
Ric: Thank you.
Alexis: And since you've paid me a compliment, I'll choke one right back at you. You look -- good.
Ric: Oh.
Alexis: You do. You look well rested. You look -- oh, my god -- content.
Ric: Well, thank you very much, which is why I hope that you've enjoyed resuming your duties as the district attorney.
Alexis: Is this your really weird way of saying that you want your job back?
Ric: Actually, I'm hoping that you'll want to resume those duties permanently.
Trevor: My son, Richie, is being a real fool. He wants to keep those Alcazar properties all to himself and his little immigrant chippie. She's not being any help at all in getting me those deeds.
Mr. Vaughn: So, how do we convince your son to hand them over?
Trevor: Well, Richard and Marianna are in for a big surprise.
Claudia: Change of plans, Trevor. You're the one who's in for a surprise.
Sonny: Monica, I just talked to the nurse on duty. She said you were the last person to see Kate.
Monica: I may have been, why?
Sonny: Well, she left me a note, and -- was she ok?
Monica: Her medical records are confidential, Sonny.
Sonny: Do you think she was ok to be released?
Monica: She released herself.
Sonny: I'm just asking you, do you think she was ok to leave the hospital right now, is what I'm saying?
Monica: Well, if it put her in closer contact with you, then no, it was not good for her health, physical or mental.
Lucky: You know, that's a hell of a thing you did -- hanging on the car, keep it from going over the edge. Mess up your hands on some jagged glass pretty good. But you'd pretty much do anything for the mother of your little boy.
Jason: You're not here to ask me about my health.
Lucky: No. Sam's hit-and-run.
Jason: We already talked about that, Lucky.
Lucky: There something else that we haven't talked about. Someone -- Elizabeth.
Jason: There's nothing to talk about.
Lucky: How about the fact that Elizabeth had an accident the night she fell asleep at the wheel? The fact you've been covering, along with the dent in her fender and the blood and -- which conveniently washed away. I came to talk to you. I kind of overheard you and Elizabeth talking yesterday.
Jason: She wanted to come forward --
Lucky: And not since you convinced Elizabeth to keep quiet by the way you've handled this.
[Jason sighs]
Lucky: You cover up things for a living. But you've left a lot of loose ends, and I -- I'm going to start picking them up. And I know what I'm going to find.
Jason: Yeah, well, I'm still tracking other leads right now.
Lucky: Other leads?
Jason: Yeah. I've eliminated two people who were on that road that night who had an accident who didn't turn themselves in, either. There's someone else I need to follow up on.
Lucky: I know you convinced Elizabeth to buy into this whole thing.
Jason: Ok, I'm not trying -- I'm not trying to cover anything up, Lucky. I just don't want Elizabeth coming forward until I'm sure. I do not want her to suffer needlessly for this. You know what Sam would do.
Lucky: Yeah, well, if you would've come to Sam to begin with --
Jason: Oh, like that would've made a difference?
Lucky: You know what? Despite what you think, I am not looking to get back at Elizabeth. I don't want to see her hurt. But don't ask me to let this thing go.
Jason: Look, I'm not asking you to let anything go. All I'm -- I'm asking you to come to me, ok? Don't -- don't tell Elizabeth what you know -- that you're looking into this. She's upset enough as it is. Please, do not go to her, you come to me first.
Sonny: Elizabeth, can I see a -- a case chart?
Elizabeth: Sonny, you know I can't give you that.
Sonny: Ok, but somebody's got to give me some answers, because I'm -- you know, nobody wants --
Monica: Sonny, this is a hospital. This is not a back-alley mob joint.
Sonny: Monica, I'm not going to hurt Kate. I'm -- I'm trying to make sure she's ok. She has a collapsed lung. I think she got released too soon. Can you at least tell me if she told you where she was going?
Monica: No, she didn't tell me, and if she wanted you to know, she would've contacted you.
Tracy: That was pretty impressive. You're pretty brave.
Monica: Well, I'm not afraid of Sonny Corinthos. He's already taken three of my children, so what do I have to lose?
Tracy: The mind reels with possibilities.
Monica: Oh, come on, Tracy. Do not start a war with me.
Tracy: A war? I'm here to offer a compromise.
Ric: When I was in Martha's Vineyard with Marianna, I felt whole. I felt renewed. And I was hopeful that I could look towards a future without being encumbered by the past.
Alexis: Yeah, see, now I know something's up.
Ric: Ok, come on, cut me some slack, all right? I'm willing to give it a shot.
Alexis: You're not going to miss this job at all?
[Ric scoffs]
Ric: Miss what? Chest-puffing, boot-lick politics for city hall?
Alexis: So what are you going to do all day?
Ric: Oh, I don't know, I just -- maybe take up basket weaving or butterfly chasing. I have a perfectly good law degree.
Alexis: From Harvard.
Ric: Yeah, better than Yale.
Alexis: Yeah. So Mayor Floyd and the boys are going to think you're a big wimp.
Ric: Well, Mayor Floyd and the boys are your problem now, Alexis, not mine. I can't tell you what a relief it is to not have to worry about what anybody thinks.
Alexis: Not even your brother?
Ric: Making Sonny pay for his crimes wasn't about justice. It was about revenge.
Alexis: You've been driven by revenge your whole life, Ric.
Ric: Yeah, and it was poisoning me. And if I ever doubt the havoc that it could wreak, I don't need to look any further than what I did to you.
Claudia: Send your pet snake out so we can talk.
Trevor: Ooh. Claus's having one of her days. We'll talk security later.
Claudia: No, it's already taken care of.
Trevor: Meaning?
Claudia: Meaning Carlo lent me a few of his guys from New York.
Trevor: Carlo is completely untrustworthy.
Claudia: No, Carlo doesn't trust you. But Carlo was one of the very few people -- one of the only people who has remained loyal to daddy all these years.
Trevor: Why don't you run your own show, instead of walking in your father's footsteps?
Claudia: You know, that reminds me, I haven't told you my big surprise yet.
Trevor: What's that?
Claudia: I'm bringing daddy home from the hospital to recuperate here.
Trevor: Over my dead body.
Claudia: Whatever it takes.
Max: Boss, we may have a lead on Michael. Now, one of the dock workers heard about some kid who was stowed away on a supply boat.
Sonny: And?
Max: And that's all we got.
Sonny: That's all you got? That's not enough to go on.
Max: Mr. C, if that's true, that means that --
Sonny: Ok, listen, the guy could be lying, right? Telling you what he thinks you want to hear.
Max: But if he's not, it's good news. It means Michael's alive. It means the Zaccharas didn't grab him. Boss, it means --
Sonny: What it -- what it means is, Michael is still out there.
Max: So what do you want me to do?
Sonny: I want you to keep checking. Talk to the workers on boats that have docked here since, you know, Michael's disappearance, and see what you can come up with.
Max: And what do you want me to do with Johnny?
Sonny: Ugh -- um -- we keep him, you know, where he's at, because I'm not 100% sure that the Zaccharas aren't behind this.
Max: Boss, it -- it just doesn't seem like something that they would do.
Sonny: It's something that Trevor would do, Max. Johnny does not get released until I get Michael back. Got it?
Max: Got it.
Sonny: Got it. Good.
Max: Boss, I -- one more --
Sonny: Max, I got to -- what?
Max: You should just be quiet when you go in there.
Sonny: Why?
Max: You have company.
Sonny: What are you doing?
Kate: Where have you been?
Sonny: I've been worried about you. What's going on?
Sonny: Nice note, short and sweet.
Kate: I needed time to think.
Sonny: About what? I asked you, you know, to stay at my house while you're recuperating, and you said no. And, you know, I mean, I wasn't exactly happy, but whatever makes you comfortable.
Kate: It's not about that, Sonny.
Sonny: Then what's it about, then?
Kate: Um -- hmm. When the doctors removed the bullet and inflated my lung, I developed a little infection. It went into my heart. It's called pericarditis.
Sonny: The doctors giving you antibiotics?
Kate: Yeah, but it's not that simple. Um -- I -- I could just -- I'm --
Sonny: What?
Kate: Pericarditis damaged my heart and I could be on medication --
Sonny: Ok. Let's go back to the hospital. Come on.
Kate: No. No, Sonny.
Sonny: What do you mean, "no"?
Kate: You don't have to do --
Sonny: Yeah, listen to me, ok? You left too soon, first of all.
[Kate sighs]
Sonny: Ok? You can't take chances.
Kate: My condition is under control.
Sonny: Listen to me, ok? You stay -- I want you to stay with me, in my house, for a couple days. Let me keep an eye on you. You know, make sure you're ok.
Kate: Sonny, listen -- I could be on medication for the rest of my life, which may not be as long as I planned. There is a possibility that this could kill me.
Michael: I -- I can't stay here forever.
Peg: Do you have any plans?
Michael: I just don't want my dad to find me.
Peg: You told me he wouldn't harm you.
Michael: No. But he'll be so mad about the gun and shooting his girlfriend.
Peg: Just tell him it was an accident.
Michael: He won't care. I lied about having a gun. He told me that if he ever caught me with a gun, I should just turn around and run, and that's what I've been doing.
Peg: You can't take your daddy's word for gospel.
Michael: You don't know my dad.
Peg: One time when I was about your age, I stayed out all night, and I came home in the morning and my mom said that daddy was out looking for me and he was so mad, he didn't know what he was going to do, so I ran away.
Michael: Where'd you go?
Peg: Down three blocks to my friend, Pearl's. Stayed another night. In the morning I found out that my daddy had died from a heart attack in his sleep. He was 45 years old.
Michael: I'm sorry.
Peg: So was I. Look, I can't tell you where to go. You got to work that out for yourself.
Michael: You're not going to tell on me?
Peg: Nope. But if you can stand a piece of advice from the last person on the earth who's entitled to give any -- do what's right, not just what's right for you. Ok?
Michael: Yeah, ok.
Peg: Hmm.
Maxie: Spinelli? Spinelli?
Spinelli: Um -- yeah -- I'm over here.
Maxie: What are you doing?
[Spinelli sighs]
Spinelli: Keeping a modicum of modesty.
Maxie: Oh, my god! You don't have any clothes on!
Spinelli: I know that. That's precisely why I asked you to procure me some new ones.
Maxie: Why don't you have any clothes on?
Spinelli: The -- an unfortunate set of circumstances befell The Jackal, P.I.
Maxie: I'm all ears.
Spinelli: There's no need to elaborate. It was just a simple miscalculation.
Maxie: Ok.
Spinelli: Um -- but all is well now, as we are happily tucked into a safe place of refuge.
Kate: So I was just sitting in the hospital, laying there feeling sorry for myself.
Sonny: You got shot, you almost died. I mean, you got to give yourself a break, right?
Kate: Oh, yeah, Sonny, but Kate Howard is the kind of woman who picks herself up and dusts herself off. She does and says what she wants.
Sonny: Is something else on your mind?
Kate: It's just that so much has happened.
Sonny: Yeah, and you came here instead of going home. What does that tell you?
Kate: I wanted to connect to you and feel some hope. I thought about going to the street corner in Bensonhurst, but -- um --
[Kate chuckles]
Sonny: Huh.
Kate: That's where things ended badly, and --
Sonny: Right.
Kate: This is where we met up again after all those years.
Sonny: And we're going to have a lot of years together, so --
Kate: We'll see.
Sonny: Kate, doctors are going to -- they're going to take care of you.
Kate: I am not talking about my heart. I'm talking about us, Sonny. We have a way of causing each other pain.
Sonny: Yes, but I -- I don't want to do that anymore.
Kate: Well, maybe you can't help it.
Carly: Sonny, I need to talk to you about Michael.
Sonny: Right -- right now?
Carly: Right now, yeah.
Kate: Uh -- yeah -- um -- it's ok. Sonny, I have errands to run --
Sonny: Ok, just give me one second, ok?
Carly: What the hell is wrong with you? Hanging out with Kate is more important than talking to me about Michael?
Trevor: Come on, Claudia, you can't bring your father home. He's a murderer.
Claudia: Oh, and what are you, huh? What, Trevor, your hands are clean? Don't insult my intelligence.
Trevor: Claudia, your father is in a home, a prison for the criminally insane. I'd like to see you try to waltz him out of there.
Claudia: It's funny, you actually still think you're in charge, don't you? You're here because I let you be. Do try to remember that, Trevors.
Trevor: My family needs me!
Claudia: It's my family, you crazy kook!
Trevor: Can you take the pressure?
Claudia: You try me.
Trevor: Oh, poor baby. We all remember what happened when things get too much for poor Claudia.
Lucky: Elizabeth -- hey, is your car in the parking lot?
Elizabeth: Why?
Lucky: Well, I thought I'd take the boys out for dinner. You know Cam -- he gets such a kick out of riding in the squad car. I thought maybe I should get their car seats.
Elizabeth: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I can do that for you.
Lucky: No, it's ok, I can do it myself.
Elizabeth: No, really, it's no problem.
Epiphany: Elizabeth, there's a patient in distress in 1023. They need you down there, stat.
Lucky: You know what? Why don't you go ahead? I think I have my spare key for the car.
Epiphany: Do you have lead in your shoes?
Elizabeth: Oh, catch you later.
Tracy: Monica, help me out, would you? I've forgotten -- how many times have you postponed your malpractice hearing?
Monica: Twice, and that was because of scheduling conflicts. What do you want?
Tracy: Justice. First thing, I want you to let me back in the house.
Monica: Well, I don't think so.
Tracy: Think again.
Patrick: We knew going in we were only able to regain about 90% of the feeling and function in your hand, that it was going to take time and multiple surgeries. One of the doctors that we had conferenced in -- he's been working with this microsurgical equipment stuff that we won't have for another year. He's the best, and he's got the best tools.
Jason: What's the downside?
Patrick: Well, with any surgery, there's risk. But there's a huge upside here. This is your best shot at regaining full function of your hands.
Jason: Where's -- where's this doctor located?
Patrick: He's in Seattle. There's a lot of people wanting to work with him. I want you to go as soon as he's available.
Elizabeth: You're going away?
