Tracy: Whatever he said he'd pay you, consider yourself unemployed.

[Luke sighs]

Tracy: He doesn't have a dime that isn't mine, and I don't subsidize streetwalkers.

Claudia: I'm no streetwalker. I got a high-class clientele.

Luke: Oh, please, don't you start! Tracy, you're not grasping the situation here.

Tracy: I don't want to see you around this man ever again.

Claudia: Well, maybe if you gave him a little attention, he wouldn't come sniffing around for me. Then again -- nah.

Tracy: Get out!

Claudia: You know where to find me. Of course, I don't think anything I'd do to you could be anywhere near as bad as what you already got.

Tracy: Out!

Luke: Wife, she's a Zacchara. She was here threatening my life.

Tracy: Oh, that works for me.

Luke: This chick plans to own Port Charles by summer. You just called her a cheap hooker.

Tracy: Oh, I think you ought to call her and apologize, have a few drinks with her. Oh, kill yourself while you're at it.

Luke: Tracy -- oh. Oh. Thank god for you. Ah.

Kate: Why don't you leave, Jax? You hate the violence as much as I do.

Jax: Because I'm married to Carly and I knew exactly what I was getting into.

Kate: Hmm. But you own homes all over the world.

[Jax chuckles]

Kate: Right? Why don't you pack up your family and leave?

Jax: I would love nothing more. Believe me, I would love to pack up and just go but that's not very realistic.

Kate: Michael and Morgan need a father.

Jax: Yeah. Yeah, I don't know. Carly just miscarried. Ka

te: Oh, Jax -- I'm so sorry. I know how badly you wanted a child. Please -

Jax: Yeah.

Kate: Give Carly my condolences.

Jax: I will, thanks.

Kate: I'm sure in time, you could try again.

Jax: I'm having serious reservations about raising a family here.

Kate: I see. You're feeling trapped, so you are encouraging me to leave.

Jax: Kate, I've seen what happens to the women that fall in love with Sonny, ok? Most of them don't survive.

Kate: Well, I'm the exception.

Jax: Right. Of course. Why -- why are you giving it all up for him?

Kate: Well, Jax, I've wanted to start my own magazine for years and it never seemed possible until I moved here.

Jax: Ok, so why not start in Manhattan? We'll get you a place in Tribeca or -- or Soho. I mean, you love New York, right? You have lots of friends there. You could have a -- a great life there.

Kate: But Sonny is here, Jax.

Jax: That's the point.

Kate: I know -- it defies logic, but what can I say? I love the guy.

Jax: Hmm.

Kate: Look, things are supposed to be getting better, right? Sonny got the Zaccharas to agree to a truce, and he's promised to stand down from the violence -- as much as he can. And he wants to spend time with his boys and focus on his coffee business.

Jax: You actually believe that, don't you?

Nikolas: I saw her for the first time after her funeral. I -- I know, I thought -- I thought I was losing my mind.

Monica: Well, Nikolas, it's -- you know, that's got to be the tumor.

Nikolas: Yeah. Yeah, it's not only causing seizures but hallucinations, as well. But it gives me Emily. Now, intellectually, I know that she's not real, but my heart doesn't know the difference.

Monica: Can I ask you what she's like?

Nikolas: Huh. Yeah, she's -- I mean, she's herself. She -- she has conversations with me, gives me advice, she worries. And I understand that she's -- she's a delusion, but I'm not ready to give her up yet.

Monica: I -- I would give anything if I could see her again -- and Alan.

Nikolas: Yeah.

Monica: That would be great -- hear them talk, hear them laugh.

Nikolas: Yeah. So you understand, in a way?

Monica: Well, I understand that you should -- you should have that surgery, and soon. But as a wife and a mother, the -- if I had the opportunity -- I don't know. I don't think I could give it up, either.

Patrick: I walked in to give Carly a neuro exam. She said I'd have to come back and Carly and Jax just found out they lost their baby, so --

[Robin sighs]

Robin: I mean, I wouldn't wish a miscarriage on anyone.

Patrick: Look, I know I should have told you. I -- I just didn't know how. I know you and her aren't close, but it's still difficult to hear somebody losing a child -

Robin: Yeah. Ian: Sorry to interrupt, but we got to review those labs.

Patrick: Yeah. Can I talk to you later?

Robin: Yeah. Oh -- Epiphany, can I have the blood work on Mr. Hughes?

Epiphany: It's in there.

Robin: You know what? Patrick can handle that. I -- I'm going home.

Luke: Oh. You know, this is getting old.

Lulu: I have some great news.

Luke: Great. Give me the booze.

Lulu: Why, so you can have another heart attack?

Luke: My liver is parched.

Lulu: Don't you want to hear the good news? Monica says we can move back in.

Luke: How'd that happen?

Lulu: I -- I don't know. She saw the light or something. Anyway, I -- I moved our stuff back in and Alice is thrilled. She's got cook making up a lunch of all your favorite stuff.

Luke: T.L.C. from Alice -- how sweet!

Lulu: Yeah?

Luke: And you're moving back in to what, keep an eye on the old man?

Lulu: Wha-- what? Who doesn't love servants waiting on you hand and foot, a garage full of cars to hotwire including a Bentley? You know, I hate her house as much as you do. It reminds me of when you left me as a kid and mom came back, and sometimes, it feels like the walls are closing in on me there.

Luke: You know what? They do. That place is like "The Amityville Horror."

Lulu: So are we moving back in to the Quartermaines'?

[Luke and Lulu laugh]

Luke: Well, since you put it like that -- lock up the booze and hide the silver. The Spencers are going home!

[Glasses clink]

[Luke and Lulu laugh]

Luke: Hmm. Ah.

Alexis: Hi, Monica.

Monica: Hello.

Alexis: You said you wanted to see me?

Nadine: Ah. I'll get out of your way.

Monica: No -- would you stay? I -- I might need a witness.

Alexis: You mentioned that this was about Sam's hit-and-run accident?

Monica: Yes, actually, something I should've come forward with a long time ago.

Diane: Hello, ladies. This conversation is now over. Dr. Quartermaine, not another word. Ms. Davis, my client has suffered blunt force trauma to the head, she is heavily medicated, and is therefore not responsible for anything she may or may not have told you.

Alexis: Why did you hire Diane?

Diane: Don't answer that. Jason Morgan has hired me -

Alexis: Why

Diane: On his mother's behalf.

Alexis: You did this, didn't you? You're the driver who hit Sam?

Diane: Well -- well, now, there's a leap.

Alexis: Were you drinking?

Diane: Don't answer that. Dr. Quartermaine needs her rest, I believe, doesn't she, nurse?

Alexis: How long have you known about this?

Diane: What is "this"? You have to be more specific.

Alexis: It's called "obstructing justice."

Diane: There's no obstruction of justice. You don't have a shred of evidence.

Kate: Plan on starting next week.

Maxie: Ok. Well, why don't I start now? I obviously have a lot to do.

Kate: All right. I have no tolerance for mistakes and even less for excuses. Just do the work and I expect a professional demeanor at all times.

Maxie: I won't let you down.

Kate: Learn these names, faces, numbers, and addresses. Memorize one specific detail of each designer by tomorrow and be sure to understand from whom I accept calls. Oh -- arrange a car for me. I'm going to go down to the docks and look over the production space I'm considering.

Maxie: Ok, car service, car service, car service

Kate: What is that noise?

Maxie: Ahem.

[Doorbell]

Maxie: Hi. Oh -- ok.

Claudia: Hi. I'm thinking about doing you a favor.

Luke: Whoa, whoa -- hey, hey -

Lulu: Sorry, sorry, sorry.

Luke: Take it easy, baby.

Lulu: Sorry, sorry, sorry.

Luke: Oh, how good to be home. I am so jonesing for some of Alice's pampering. Is there a dominator in the house? Papa's home!

Tracy: Would you stop that bellowing?

Luke: Hi, wife. We're back.

Tracy: Hello, darling. Your room is ready and waiting.

Lulu: See? What'd I tell you?

Tracy: Just as soon as you take your father back to wherever he's living.

[Knock on door]

Ian: So, I hear you're starting a program for people without health insurance, and you're planning on running it personally.

Nikolas: That's correct.

Ian: Nice work.

Nikolas: Thank you.

Ian: And this way, it'll be a lot easier for me to get your meds without anyone becoming suspicious.

Nikolas: Well, I expect you to supply me with that medication no matter where I am. And you know you're being very well compensated to keep this tumor under control.

Ian: That's assuming that the medication works. Remember, if it doesn't, this -

Nadine: Nikolas, Epiphany said I'd find you here.

Ian: Congratulations once again on the program, Mr. Cassadine.

Nikolas: Thank you.

Ian: I'd be honored to help any way I can.

Nikolas: Ok.

Nadine: Uh -- this just doesn't make sense. Why are you starting this program when you'll probably be dead before the first patient shows up?

Nikolas: It's my decision.

Nadine: Yeah. But if you don't have surgery, this tumor will kill you.

Nikolas: Surgery is not an option right now.

Nadine: Ok. Well, then why are you acting like you still have a future?

Robin: Om.

Robin: Ahh. Hey! You can't just walk in here without knocking.

Patrick: I knew you would be doing something like this.

Robin: Oh, relaxation is essential during the first trimester.

Patrick: Ah. Take it so is folic acid, magnesium, selenium. Water's always good.

Robin: Mm-hmm.

Patrick: What's that?

Robin: Oh, Kelly recommended it. It has a lot of useful information.

[Robin sighs]

Patrick: It's sad what happened to Carly, but it doesn't mean it's going to happen to your baby.

Robin: Yes, but you never wished anything bad to happen to Carly. You never said that she'd be a horrible mother. You never accused her of using her son as a weapon or barged into her life and messed everything up just because you assumed that you were right and she was wrong. You didn't wish for Carly to go away forever -- I mean, isn't that what a miscarriage is? A baby just goes away and never comes back?

Patrick: Robin, you never wished for Carly to have a miscarriage.

Robin: Yes, but I put out plenty of bad karma. You know, that energy -- that has to go somewhere.

Patrick: This wouldn't be a good time to blame hormones, would it?

Robin: Well, I'm not taking any chances.

[Carly sighs]

[Carly sobs]

Carly: It's not fair. I wanted my baby. I wanted her so bad.

Claudia: I hear you're looking for investors for your magazine. My brother and I might be interested.

Kate: Hmm, really?

Claudia: Yeah. We need to see a prospectus, of course, and we would want editorial input, but we have a couple of bucks to throw around.

Kate: Maxie, take notes. I think for our first issue, we'll do a piece on what women should never wear. Never steal your shoes from streetwalkers, and invest in hosiery -- it hides a multitude of sins. Never wear a dress that shows off more than anyone really ever wants to see and don't assume that expense equals quality, especially when the dress doesn't -- fit. Jewelry should never disappear. Chewing gum is tacky. And there's no excuse for a bad hair day -- either cover it up or pull it back. It's much better to look like a pudgy ballerina than to not.

Claudia: You finished?

Kate: Hmm. Mm-hmm. Maxie will show you out.

Claudia: No, Maxie, keep writing. I'm going to tell you what Kate Howard's really good at -- how to lose a guy.

>> On the next "General Hospital -

Nikolas: What gives you the right to pry into my life?
Carly: What has happened to us? Why don't you trust me anymore?
Sonny: What are you doing here?
Claudia: It's time we got a few things straight. I set you up.
