Man: We can't offload another shipment with the last one still here. Get this crate moved out of here, now. You make another mistake like that again, you're fired.
Second Man: I'm sorry, boss. The bag slipped.
First Man: Save it. Mr. Corinthos is coming by personally tonight to inspect the shipment. If anything goes wrong, we all could be looking for new jobs.
Ian: I'll take Sonny out at the warehouse tonight. Should be an easy shot.
Jerry: Hmm.
Jerry: Here you go. The serial number's been rubbed off.
Ian: My, my, aren't you thorough.
Jerry: Well, someone has to be.
Ian: If you're concerned about my abilities, you're more than welcome to take Sonny out yourself.
Jerry: And deny you the pleasure of having the lovely Ms. Zacchara in your debt? I wouldn't dream of it.
Johnny: I thought we agreed Sonny has to die.
Claudia: He will, tonight. It's all been arranged.
Johnny: Yeah, why bother me with the details, right?
Claudia: John, I told you I will take care of it. All you need to do is worry about finding an alibi.
Sonny: Yeah, when's it coming in? Uh, yeah, yeah. I'm going to go to the warehouse as soon as I can because I want everything to be in order before the guy from customs shows up, you know what I'm saying? All right, thanks, Bernie. Damn.
[Knock on door]
Sonny: Hey.
Kate: Hi.
Sonny: I thought you were -- weren't you doing something with the magazine?
Kate: Yes, I was.
Sonny: Yes?
Kate: But I can take a break, can't I, hmm? And I think you should, too. How does dinner at the Metro Court sound?
Sonny: Dinner at the Metro -- uh, well, not as good as my pesto chicken pasta. Uh, but, you know, I got to take a rain check because I got to -- they're expecting me at the warehouse soon.
Kate: Oh, really? Hmm, and to think you were the one lecturing me on my work-life balance.
Sonny: Well, if -- if I, you know, want to prove to Michael that my coffee business is not just a front, then I got to do the day-to-day operations, right?
Kate: Mm-hmm.
Sonny: Because I want my son to know that I have a legitimate business, that it does not involve guns and violence.
Claudia: Go and find someplace to hang out where there's a bunch of people around for a couple of hours, and I will call you when I get confirmation that Sonny's dead.
Johnny: Sounds a lot like an order, Claudia.
Claudia: I don't want this coming back on you, John. Who do you think the cops are going to go to first when Sonny turns up dead? You need an airtight alibi.
Johnny: Don't worry about me. I'll find some place to be and someone to be with.
Claudia: Yeah, I bet. Your girlfriend? Oh, that's right, Lulu's not your girlfriend. She's just some girl you bought a casino to stay in touch with.
Johnny: It was a good investment. Besides, it never hurts to keep the options open.
Claudia: I hope Lulu Spencer is worth the trouble, not to mention the money you're spending to bankroll her father.
Johnny: More than likely, nothing will come of it. Lulu's pretty determined to keep her distance. It's probably better for both of us if she does anyway.
Claudia: Too bad you can't help playing with fire.
Ian: Claudia has no problem transporting my product in and out of Port Charles, providing Sonny's not around to run interference.
Jerry: Yeah, but there's no guarantee Claudia will hold up her end of the bargain when she gets what she wants, which could leave you and I out of a substantial amount of money.
Ian: Claudia brokered a similar deal with me in Milan. If her track record is any indication, this latest deal should be concluded without incident. As for your percentage, I would consider doubling it if you were to handle things personally.
Jerry: I'm not going anywhere near this. If Sonny's found dead and it's traced back to me, it'll destroy whatever's left of my relationship with my brother, and that's not going to happen.
Ian: Your loss. Sonny's going to be wide open tonight. No guards, no guns. Would have been the easiest money you ever made.
[Rifle hammer clicks]
Kate: Even legitimate businessmen make time for dinner.
Sonny: No, I just -- I can't. I can't do it, only because I got a shipment coming in, right? And I got to oversee everything.
Kate: But, Sonny, isn't that why you hire a foreman? To make sure things go smoothly in your absence?
Sonny: Ok, usually I have four or five guards, right, who are, u know, doing everything. I have somebody overlooking them, telling them what to do.
Kate: Perfect.
Sonny: You know what I did? I had Bernie tell them to go home.
Kate: Why?
Sonny: Because customs officials are going to be there, they're going to inspect everything. I want everything to go smoothly because from now on everything goes strictly by the book.
Kate: Really?
Sonny: Yeah.
Kate: Hmm, ok, but can I tag along? What? It'd be a refreshing change to watch you do business without the threat of being shot.
Sonny: Yeah, but I don't know how long it's going to take to clear the shipment.
Kate: Uh-huh.
Sonny: No, listen, listen to me. You're going to sit there for a long time, you're going to be bored. I don't want that, and I --
Kate: Ok, fine, I'll bring Michael to keep me company. I'm sure he would find the whole process interesting, too.
Michael: Hey.
Carly: What game are you playing?
Michael: Street Killer 2.
Carly: You know firsthand how dangerous guns can be. Playing with games like this is not ok.
Michael: You know I didn't mean to shoot Kate.
Carly: I know you didn't mean to shoot Kate. I know it was an accident. I'm aware of that.
Michael: Then why are you still mad?
Carly: I'm not mad at you, ok, but things have to change around here, starting with no more video games.
Michael: Mom.
Carly: Mercedes, come out here, please. Not another word.
Mercedes: Yes?
Carly: Michael's not allowed to play with video games anymore. I don't care what you do with it. Hide it, break it, just keep it way from him.
Michael: You can't break it. I borrowed that game from Joey.
Carly: Well, you know what? Joey shouldn't be playing with it, either. I have to go to the hotel. Make sure he does his homework.
Elizabeth: Surprise.
Jason: Wow.
Elizabeth: I missed you.
Jason: I missed you so much.
Elizabeth: How are you, and what'd the doctor say?
Jason: Well, they said I should regain full range of motion, maybe need a little physical therapy, but no permanent nerve damage.
Elizabeth: I hate that you had to go through another surgery by yourself. I wish I could have been there.
Jason: It's ok, you're here now.
Kate: Why not show Michael what the coffee business is all about?
Sonny: Ok, I'll tell you why. Because the point was for me to spend time alone with Michael, right? If I'm busy with a shipment, that kind of defeats the purpose.
Kate: No, I thought the purpose was to show Michael that he didn't need a gun to make something out of himself. Sonny, this is the perfect opportunity. You just said that business is going be conducted aboveboard tonight, right?
Sonny: Yeah, yeah.
Kate: So why wouldn't you want to show Michael that there's more to your life than the violence he's grown accustomed to?
Sonny: Because when Michael gets bored he gets in trouble, and I don't want anything to go wrong tonight.
Kate: Sonny, he's not going to be running wild around the warehouse.
Sonny: Well, you don't know that. I mean, you know --
Kate: Well, I'm there to make sure. And besides, you know what? I think --
Kate: That he's going to be so thrilled at the invitation that he will be on his best behavior.
Sonny: But there's nothing to do there but sit, do nothing.
Kate: Yeah?
Sonny: And you know, hs --
Kate: Really? You can't even put him on the forklift, give him a ride, let him drive? Once the coffee business is done.
Sonny: Well, ok, you know what? He does love to drive that thing. Ok, I'll tell you what. We'll pick him up on the way to the warehouse.
Kate: Um, can you do me a favor?
Sonny: What?
Kate: Can I pick him up and meet you there?
Carly: Hey, Marty, have you seen Jax?
Marty: He was upstairs going over the renovation plans with a contractor.
Carly: What renovation plans?
Marty: The ones requested by Ms. Howard.
Carly: Do you have a copy of the lease? Thanks. No way. There is no way that she is converting the entire third floor of my hotel for offices for her new magazine. It's not gonna happen.
Marty: What should I tell Ms. Howard?
Carly: Tell her she can lease the space that is currently available, the annex behind the kitchen.
Marty: Where housekeeping keeps their supplies?
Carly: 1500 square feet. That's enough room for a desk and Kate's ego.
Marty: But the only access to the annex is from the service elevator.
Carly: Exactly. Square footage and a private entrance. Make sure the price and the rent reflects that, please.
Marty: What about housekeeping?
Carly: They can relocate their supplies to the third floor.
Jax: No, they can't. I promised that to Kate.
Carly: Not in my hotel.
Elizabeth: Are you hungry? Can I make you dinner or something?
Jason: No, no, no, no. I just want you to tell me about Jake.
Elizabeth: He is teething like crazy. He has cut two more since the last time you saw him, one on the top and the bottom. I took a picture of him this morning so you could see.
Jason: Let's see. Oh, man, he is -- he is getting so big.
Elizabeth: He looks more and more like his daddy every day.
Jason: Yeah, I was -- I've been thinking about him a lot. And you know, you and us. And I know that Sonny made a truce with the Zaccharas, and they say that they want to keep the peace. So, um, I don't know. I was thinking maybe --
[Phone rings]
Elizabeth: I'm sorry. Oh, it's the hospital.
Jason: I mean, if you -- if you have to go, you got to go.
Elizabeth: It's a trauma, they need me. But I really want to finish this.
Jason: We will.
Elizabeth: Ok.
Claudia: Glad to see the bar is up and running ahead of schedule. When will the casino open?
Luke: Well, why do you care? I was under the impression that I'm in partnership with your brother.
Claudia: John and I work as a team.
Luke: Well, then you should have no trouble holding to his agreements.
Claudia: Depends. Let's hear them.
Luke: Well, they're simple. He pays the bills. I pour the booze. I take his money, and I retain complete control of the casino.
Claudia: No, John may prefer to be a silent partner, but I plan on taking a very active role in this particular business venture.
Luke: Do you?
Claudia: Mm-hmm.
Luke: Revise your plan.
Claudia: What would be the point of owning a casino if I can't enjoy it? There's just one little problem.
Luke: Only the one?
Claudia: It seems my brother has a thing for your daughter. If it goes much further, it could be disastrous for both of them.
Jax: I already promised that space to Kate.
Carly: Third floor is way too valuable to waste on an office suite.
Jax: Well, you think it's better to utilize it as storage?
Carly: Sure.
Jax: For housekeeping supplies?
Marty: You obviously need a few minutes to sort this out.
Jax: This is beyond petty.
Carly: How do you think I feel, and how do you expect me to react when I find out from Marty that you're gonna convert the entire third floor of my hotel without even telling me?
Jax: Your hotel? First -- first of all, it's our hotel, ok? And secondly, you were here when Kate came to look at the space. It's not as if I'm trying to hide it from you.
Carly: We never discussed giving her the entire third floor, Jax.
Jax: You don't honestly expect her to run the magazine out of a supply closet, do you?
Carly: I don't give a damn where she does her business as long as it doesn't interfere with mine. Do you know how much we're gonna lose a night if we convert the entire third floor?
Jax: Not half as much as I'll lose if this magazine fails to launch.
Carly: Yeah, a magazine that I didn't want you to invest in to begin with.
Jax: Oh, oh, because, that -- that's what this is about.
Carly: Yeah, so now you're moving Kate in here. You're hiring contractors. You're doing all this without even asking my opinion. What the hell? Is this your way of punishing me for the miscarriage? Is that it?
Kate: I haven't spoken to Michael since the shooting.
Sonny: Right.
Kate: I've been meaning to stop by the house, but I didn't want to intrude on Jax and Carly's grief. Well, now they've had some time to process the miscarriage, and I think it's time that Michael and I talk about what happened.
Sonny: Yeah. I think, you know, he -- he wants to apologize to you. I know that, and he feels horrible for what he did to you.
Kate: I don't blame Michael for what happened. And I don't want him blaming himself. It was a very unfortunate incident.
Sonny: But you know a lot of people don't see it that way, right?
Kate: Yeah, but Michael is a boy, Sonny, and he made a serious error in judgment, and I can't fault him when I've been guilty of doing the same thing.
Sonny: Thank you.
Kate: I think some alone time with Michael will give us both closure. Just call him, please.
Sonny: Now?
Kate: Now.
Sonny: All right.
Michael: Hello?
Sonny: Hey, boy. Where's your mama?
Michael: She's at the hotel with Jax.
Sonny: Where's Mercedes?
Michael: Um, upstairs with Morgan.
Sonny: What are you up to tonight?
Michael: Nothing.
Sonny: Nothing? You want to hang out with me at the warehouse and unload a shipment?
Michael: Are you serious?
Sonny: Would I be asking if I wasn't -- if I wasn't serious?
Michael: Awesome. Thanks, dad.
Sonny: Ok, listen. Kate's gonna come by and pick you up.
Elizabeth: Hey, I got a page that medevac was bringing in a trauma.
Epiphany: Yes, we've got a lacerated liver in O.R. Two. Dr. O'Donnell is prepping him now.
Elizabeth: Dr. O'Donnell?
Epiphany: The victim was a little boy. He got hit by a car while he was riding his bike in front of his house. His father was in the front yard and saw the whole thing.
Father: I want to see my son.
Epiphany: I'm sorry, sir. He's already prepped and getting into surgery.
Father: Zack's only eight. His birthday was last week. He's been begging me to buy him a bike, and I -- please, I really need to be with my son. Please, Zack needs to know that I'm here.
Elizabeth: I will tell him. I'm gonna go down to the O.R. I'll let him know that you're out here waiting for him.
Father: You have to save my son. He's my whole life. I can't live without him.
Jason: Hey.
Sonny: You just got back?
Jason: About an hour ago, yeah.
Sonny: How'd it go?
Jason: Better than the first operation. Doctors say I'm gonna need some physical therapy but no permanent damage.
Sonny: Good, good.
Jason: Yeah, how -how'd things go back here?
Sonny: Well, it would have been great if I wasn't tripping over Spinelli every four seconds, you know what I mean?
Jason: I'm sorry. I just wanted Spinelli to have something to do so he wouldn't worry so much.
Sonny: Him or you? Because if this truce is not gonna hold, please tell me.
Jason: If I thought that the Zaccharas were going to make a move, I would have never left.
Sonny: Ok.
Luke: This is not a conversation I care to have.
Claudia: With me?
Luke: With anyone. When it comes to my daughter's love life, I have no opinions. If she cares to date a mob boss or a popcorn salesman, it's all the same to me.
Claudia: I'm not surprised that you want to shove your daughter in John's direction. After all, he is plenty rich, and he just used a big part of that money to bail you out of a mountain of debt.
Luke: Let me say this slower. Lulu's love life is none of my concern. I am completely neutral. Think Switzerland.
Claudia: Hmm, ok, fine. You don't want to weigh in, that's your prerogative, but let me explain something to you. John's situation is complicated. Not to mention dangerous. I hate to see your daughter get hurt.
Luke: Don't even think of threatening my kid.
