OK so I just watched "No country for old men" - the critic's fave, the media darling, the academy award winner. I must say a big

pppsssttttt.......(insert spitting smiley here)

That SUCKED!!! A well made film, great acting....but the story itself.......UGH!!!! I will white out some in case people haven't seen it yet!!

Horrible! No rhyme or reason to plot points, no character growth??? There was no hero, the bad guy was psycho and this was discussed to no point and purpose ('cause we could see that for ourselves), the whole Woody Harrelson thing was just wasted space because it had no point or purpose either - the sherrif's ultimate choices were actually character backtracking, (not to mention what was the point of him realizing the bad guy was in the hotel room looking for the money near the end - the scene also had no point - it went no where) OK - the bad guy had a teeny bit of growth when he let the kids live, but this was right after pointlessly killing the wife???? ANd while on the topic of the wife - why on earth didn't she bury the husband too? I thought for a secong a crazy plot twist was coming and he was going to end up alive and have the money - because after that strange scene where the sherrif was int he hotel room - where we think the bad guy has the money - then to find out he didn't after all?? Where did it go after all??? COme on.....really strange how it was such a critic darling yet the story had holes int he writing like GH has!! But, I had to see for myself! Really the acting was great.
