Thursday June 26, 2008 Part 2

Johnny: I know, you're just trying to look out for me.

Claudia: You're our father's son. Some things are already decided for you.

Johnny: Living alone, cut off, it may be the safe choice.

Claudia: You're not alone.

Johnny: Lulu makes me happy. That's not a concept we're familiar with.

Claudia: She hates me, Johnny.

Johnny: Now, why would you think that? After the warm reception you've given her?

Claudia: Well, maybe I'm afraid that she's going to make you hate me, too.

Johnny: Come on.

[Door opens]

Tracy: I need a word with your brother, please, in private.

Claudia: Really? Well, I would like for you to deliver a message to the other vultures.

Johnny: Its fine, Claudia. I'll talk to her.

Claudia: Ric.

Ric: Hi.

Claudia: Hi. Get my brother released. My family will show its gratitude. The quicker you do it, the more grateful I, personally, will be.

Ric: Really?

Claudia: Mm-hmm.

Ric: Have you thought this all the way through?

Claudia: What?

Ric: Well, how much better it would be for you if your brother stayed in jail.

Tracy: I have one simple question for you. Yes or no? Did your father kill your mother?

Alexis: I'm going to need you to do a second interview with the people at the hotel that saw the fight break out between Zacchara and Hayes.

Lucky: Anything in particular you're looking for?

Alexis: I think everybody knows that they were fighting over Lulu. So, Baldwin's out for blood. And I'm sure you're not that happy about the fact that your sister is dating a member of the mob elite.

Lucky: I really hope you didn't just compare me to Scott Baldwin.

Alexis: Just go find out if anyone saw who threw the first punch.

Lucky: You got it.

Alexis: Ok.

Alexis: I'm busy right now.

Anthony: I'll be gone just as soon as you drop all charges against my son and release him.

Alexis: The police are just holding him until an investigation is complete.

Anthony: How's that little girl of yours -- Kristina? She enjoying that day camp she goes to?

Kate: Ava Arguedas, Rachel Moore, these are the most highly sought after wedding coordinators around, and I want to interview both of them sooner rather than later. Oh, I should probably view some archival footage of some high-profile weddings. How about Tom and Katie in Italy?

Maxie: Beyonce and Jay-z?

Kate: Yes. Oh, and, Maxie, I need to speak to the major houses for china and silver. And we need a charity for people to donate in lieu of gifts.

Jax: Morning, guys.

Kate: Oh, hello, Jax. Maxie, hold all my calls. We have a lot to discuss.

Maxie: I'll have them forwarded to my cell phone.

Kate: And where are you going, Maxie?

Maxie: I figured I would go to the hospital and check on Spinelli.

Jax: Spinelli's in the hospital?

Maxie: He's going to be fine.

Jax: Give him my best.

Kate: Well, it is your lunch break.

Maxie: Thank you so much, Kate.

Jax: I was here to discuss the budget projection for "Crimson," but all I hear are wedding plans.

Kate: Well, I did mention that I was going to do a full spread in "Crimson."

Jax: Are you sure that's a good idea?

Carly: Thanks. Sonny and had just left Michael at the aftercare facility. We were emotional and we weren't thinking clearly, and we basically reconnected. It didn't change anything between the two of us. We both knew that. And when I went home, Jax was there. He reached out and we -

Diane: Reconnected as well.

Carly: Yeah. So, you know, I know how bad this sounds.

Diane: I'm not making any moral judgments. I'm just assessing.

Carly: I was with Sonny and Jax on the same night and I have been nauseous two days in a row.

Diane: Carly, I deal in facts. I don't deal in old wives' tales. Have you actually taken a pregnancy test?

Carly: No, because everything I'm feeling tells me I'm pregnant, and when Jax finds t he's going to be thrilled. He's going to be screaming it from the rooftops. And when Sonny hears about it he's going to get suspicious. I need to know my legal rights before Sonny comes to me and starts asking -

Diane: Max!

Tracy: I have not lived my life in pampered isolation. In fact, one of my previous husbands was a fairly high-ranking crime figure. After his untimely death, I briefly ran his business. I remember hearing stories about Anthony Zacchara -- how he killed his wife and pinned it on an unnamed intruder.

Johnny: Where are you going with this?

Tracy: Your life is saturated with violence. You are the only son of a major crime boss, and you have been groomed to take his place. If you allow things to continue with Lulu, it's only a question of time before she pays the price your mother did.

Claudia: Careful, Mr. Lansing. If my father even suspected you're willing to leave John locked up, he'd have you drawn and quartered.

Ric: No, no, no, Claudia, I am well aware of Anthony's obsession with his son, ok? It makes sense. John is his chance at immortality, the personification of his power. It really has nothing to do with John at all. It's all about Anthony's legacy. See, if John were to go away -- if he were to go away to prison, should we say, that chance at immortality, i.e. His favorite child, would be you.

Anthony: That day camp you're sending Kristina to -- what a nice place. Tennis, horseback riding. But doesn't it make you nervous to have your kid so near a lake?

Alexis: Get out.

Anthony: I mean, kids wander off. They go into the water unsupervised.

Alexis: Leave my daughter alone.

Anthony: A child can drown in a matter of seconds.

Alexis: Get him out of here!

Anthony: You're a parent. You worry. So do I. Ease my worries, I'll ease yours.

Nikolas: Uh, mayor, I think its bad politics to look this unhappy when so many people are getting so much help. It might look unsympathetic to the common man, you know.

Mayor Floyd: Hmm. I am sorry that you won't listen to reason.

Nikolas: Or that I won't cave to moneyed interests.

Mayor Floyd: Need I remind you that your family's money has paid for all this? The Cassadines aren't exactly known for kindness and benevolence to their fellow man, now, are they?

Nikolas: No, they're not, but I think it's time for that to change.

Mayor Floyd: Well, good. Enjoy those warm and fuzzy feelings while you can. You won't be open for long.

Nadine: That man defines what is wrong with the American political system.

Leyla: Yes, and you made a fool of him. I don't know how you got those patients in here, but I could kiss you. Or maybe I'll just leave that up to Nikolas.

Nadine: Why would you say that?

Leyla: Because you single-handedly kept his dream alive.

Nadine: Right, and I'm sure he's grateful.

Leyla: Uh, I think what he feels for you is a little more than grateful.

Nadine: Really? No.

Leyla: Yeah.

Nadine: How much more?

Leyla: Well, I mean -

Nadine: No, I -

Nikolas: Hey, how did you do it? How did you get those patients in the door? How did you do it?

Nadine: I had some help.

Max: Uh, what was that you wanted to talk to the boss about -- I'm sorry -- Mr. C.

Diane: Uh, Max, while I'm always delighted to see you, Carly and I are in the middle of a professional discussion to which you cannot be privy.

Max: I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were working. I just wanted to say hi to Mrs. C. And tell her how sorry I am about Michael. And if there's anything I can do, please let me know.

Carly: How did you know I was here?

Max: Jason has guards on you and Morgan 24-7. Just because the boss is no longer the boss doesn't mean you two are safe, and Jason just wants to make sure. I'll leave you two to your business. Ms. Miller.

Diane: Mr. Giambetti.

Carly: Bye,

Max. Max: Bye.

Carly: Why did you think Max was here to see you?

Diane: The vagaries of Max's behavior are beside the point. You may or may not be carrying a little bundle which could be Jax's or Sonny's. That's going to make for a potentially volatile custody situation.

Carly: I know that. If Sonny turns out to be the father, does he have any paternal rights, since he already signed away Michael and Morgan?

Claudia: You're a smart man, but you have completely misread the situation.

Ric: Really? How so?

Claudia: If my brother were to disappear off the face of the earth tomorrow, I'd be dead the next day. My father would never low anyone to profit from my brother's death. John's all that matters to my dad. He's all that ever will. That's the one truth you need to grasp if you're going to survive -

Ric: You don't think very highly of yourself, do you, ms. Zacchara? Where does this all leave you?

Claudia: I love my brother.

Ric: Oh, of course.

Claudia: Whatever John inherits, whatever he controls, whatever he runs, I do it with him.

Ric: Right. All for him?

Claudia: So I'll tell you something. It's a really poor strategy indeed to try to turn me against my brother.

Ric: You're missing the point.

Claudia: Yeah, well, so far, I'm not impressed.

Johnny: I'm not my father.

Tracy: Not yet. Look, you obviously have feelings for Lulu. If that's true, you must know that she'd be better off away from you. She'd be safer, not just from the violence, but from the day-to-day chaos that you call your life. Lulu can't handle it. She's too fragile.

Johnny: Fragile?

Tracy: You must know that Lulu's mother became catatonic because she psychologically couldn't handle the stress and the danger. Why would you want to put Lulu in the same position?

Johnny: Why don't you make up your mind? How exactly is it that I'm supposed to destroy Lulu? Because it seems more to me that you're just throwing anything against a wall to see what sticks.

Tracy: Maybe that's my point. There a number of ways it could happen and only one that it won't. Let her go.

Guard: You have another visitor. Lulu Spencer.

Jerry: Ah, I was so pleased to hear from you so soon, though I have to admit I thought you'd make me work harder.

Alexis: You said that you would keep Kristina safe. Do you still mean that?

Jerry: What's the matter? Did someone threaten you?

Alexis: I just went to pick her up at her day camp. Anthony Zacchara has someone there watching her. He said that he would hurt her if I don't get his son released.

Jerry: Don't worry. I'm going to fix this.

Nadine: I went into playgrounds, vacant lots, even the projects just handing out flyers, talking to people, telling them what we're trying to do here.

Nikolas: Ok, but you said you had some help. So, who -

[Door opens]

Nadine: Oh -- [Chuckling]

Nikolas: Was it, uh, my brother here?

Nadine: Um, no offense, but I don't think anyone would've talked to me if I was with a cop.

Nikolas: Well, then, who was it?

Nadine: Um, it's amazing, the effect this little guy has on people.

Nikolas: Right. So you're telling me that you went into the projects alone with nothing but wrist ducky there?

Nadine: Mm-hmm [Chuckling]

Lucky: Congratulations, big brother.

Nikolas: Thank you.

Lucky: Yeah, I'm proud of you. Emily would be, too. I mean, this is one hell of a tribute.

Nikolas: Yeah, well, that was the idea, you know. And seeing it now just makes me think of how much she would want to be a part of it. Makes me miss her even more right now.

Maxie: Ms. Howard is going to be interviewing all of the top wedding coordinators. Hold on. Could you tell me what room Damien Spinelli is in?

Nurse: 619.

Maxie: It's going to be the event of the year.

Matt: This patient's EKG was abnormal. That would indicate the meds aren't working.

Maxie: Well, then, I suggest you bring your "a" game.

Matt: Get a bed ready for him in ICU.

Maxie: What the hell!

Matt: Will you watch where the hell you're going?

[Maxie's pda hits the floor]

Kate: You're paying absolutely no attention to those numbers that you insisted we review.

Jax: I'm sorry.

Kate: Jax, I don't blame you for being distracted. As thrilled as I am about my wedding to Sonny, you must be over the moon about Carly's pregnancy.

Jax: Oh, that's not 100% yet. So you shouldn't say anything to anyone, because she has not taken a pregnancy test yet.

Kate: Well, why not?

Jax: Um, because she doesn't want to deal with it right now. Which I totally understand. I mean, she's still grieving. I just thought that the pregnancy would be more important. Because if we knew for sure, then -- well, the baby would change everything.

Diane: The fact that Sonny signed away Michael and Morgan has no bearing on his inherent parental rights, and he still has shared custody of Kristina. He's going to have full rights to the baby you're carrying, if indeed it does prove to be his.

Carly: I know Sonny will pursue this. If he finds out I'm pregnant, he'll want a paternity test.

Diane: Ok, the first order of business is to find out if you are actually pregnant. So, if so, my advice is that you tell Jax everything and formulate a strategy.

Carly: I can't tell Jax anything. It will devastate him.

Diane: Sonny has been my client for a long time now. And I know you're right. If that baby is his, he's going to want it.

Carly: He can't have it.

Diane: Yeah.

Carly: He can't have it. I'm not going to go through what I went through with Michael. There's a way to stop Sonny, and I know how to do it.

>> On the next "General Hospital" -
Anna: Robin doesn't need any more stress right now, so I think it's better if you just leave.

Jerry: Don't worry, darling. I'll take it from here.

Spinelli: It is clear that Vixenella has feelings for stone cold.

Carly: You're definitely not the father.
