Maitre d': Ms. Zacchara, your lunch appointment called. He's running about 10 minutes late.
Claudia: Oh, thanks.
Claudia: Hello? It's Claudia. Yeah, I got your message. Thank you. Um -- listen, I ran into a little problem myself. Do you think we could just reschedule our lunch for another day? Okay, great, thanks.
Karpov: I want to avoid friction with the Zaccharas. And, more importantly, with your former associate, Mr. Morgan.
Sonny: Well, you don't ask for much.
Karpov: There is no reason I can't advance my own interests without compromising anyone else's. America is a wonderful country, a land of plenty. There is a lot of things to go around.
Sonny: If you want assurances, you should be asking somebody else.
Karpov: You -- a man of your influence is the ideal person to help promote my business, an ambassador of some sorts. You can ease my entry into this wonderful community.
Sonny: What do I get?
Karpov: What do you want?
Sonny: Okay, if -- if I get involved in any way, you can't compete or challenge with my old organization.
Karpov: Done.
Sonny: Done?
Karpov: Yes.
Sonny: Okay. I'll consider your request.
Robin: Well, it looks like we dodged a bullet.
Patrick: Yeah, looks like it's only a bruise. So, this singing thing shouldn't be a problem.
Anna: Good. That's a relief, really.
Noah: Yeah.
Anna: You know, I mean, he's a brilliant performer. I don't wish him any ill, much. Chip: So, I got a press interview, radio interviews for next week. I'll reset for --
Eli: Just give me a minute, Chip, will you?
Chip: No, Eli, we don't have time for this.
Eli: Okay. Hey, Doc, I just want you to know there are no hard feelings.
Patrick: Good. We were just commenting how we enjoy your concerts, so --
Eli: Uh -- look, you know, I'm going back to the hotel now. You know, once you get past the paparazzi and the crazies, why don't you come up to my room, we'll have dinner together, all right?
Anna: Me?
Eli: Mm-hmm.
Anna: Oh. Why don't I come with you now?
Eli: Come on, sweetheart. You know -- you know what it's like. I mean, the moment I'm seen with anyone, it's all over the place.
Anna: Yeah. Well, I would rather not be someone that you can't be seen with in public. So, why don't I just pass on forever?
Eli: I don't know why you're so mad, it's --
Anna: Do I look mad? Am I mad? I'm not mad.
Eli: It's just part of the job description, you know? I mean, I got to protect the old image. I mean, as beautiful and sexy a grandma as you are, it just doesn't fit with the profile. You know what I'm saying?
Noah: You're an arrogant bastard, you know that?
Noah: Sorry, Chip.
Jax: Look, Kate, you and I have had a great working relationship, so far, and I'd really like to keep it that way. But at the end of the day, I am a businessman, and I have to protect my investment.
Kate: As do I.
Jax: Yes, but we've been going in the same direction up until now. I'm just saying, just choose your words a little more carefully next time. Okay?
Kate: I did overreact just a little. Well, I don't know. Somehow the idea of Claudia Zacchara involved with "Crimson" just set me over the edge.
Jax: I am not selling to Claudia Zacchara.
Kate: Okay, good.
Jax: So, just relax.
Kate: That's a relief because we can't afford to have all of our work tarnished by an association with a crime fam -- oh, duh.
Jax: What? You were saying?
Kate: Sonny is not involved with the business.
Jax: Right, of course, just -- yeah.
Kate: I get it, Jax, okay?
Jax: It's okay, 'cause I can't afford an association with a Zacchara either so --
Kate: We're on the same page.
Jax: Yeah, it appears that way. That's good.
Kate: Jax, there's just one little caveat. Carly excels at making trouble, and, quite frankly, I am tired of being the target of choice. I do not take kindly to sabotage in my business or personal life.
Jax: Yeah, I've already -- I've already talked to Carly that I won't be putting up with any more interference. Yeah. I've reached my limit, and she knows that.
Jason: Who knows the truth?
Maxie: You, me, Johnny, Lulu, Spinelli. Lulu's starting to feel really guilty, okay? Not just about what she did to Logan, but because Johnny is taking the blame.
Spinelli: Yeah, assuming that Lulu's rights could be protected by an able attorney like the brusque lady of justice Diane, well, maybe a full confession would be advisable.
Maxie: Lulu has a mother who's a vegetable in a rocking chair over killing a guy, and I don't think it's going to take much to put Lulu in the same condition.
Spinelli: It's very sweet that you're so, you know, protective over Lulu.
Maxie: I'm scared for myself, okay? I don't want to go to prison as an accessory to murder. I don't want to break Mac's heart. I never should have started lying about this.
Jason: No, no, no, no, you did the right thing. I want you to stay here with Spinelli.
Maxie: Well, what are -- what are you going to do?
Jason: Well, I'm going to -- I'm going to try to fix this.
Lucky: You don't do anyone any good hanging around here.
Lulu: You cannot make me stay away from Johnny, so don't make me fight you about it.
Lucky: Listen, why don't I buy you a cup of coffee --
Lulu: I said that I'm fine!
Trevor: Johnny, you and I know your father. The worst things are for you, the more dangerous he becomes.
Johnny: There's not much I can do about that from in here.
Trevor: Just shut your mouth and talk to nobody. You know how far your father will go to protect you. And if you don't handle this right, there will be people who die.
Johnny: You want to help me out, Trevor? Get me out of here.
Lulu: Is Trevor getting you out?
Johnny: That's his job. Don't worry about that. Are you okay?
Lulu: I'm not good. I'm having second thoughts about pretty much everything, and I had a really stupid impulse.
Johnny: What did you do?
Lulu: I have a gun in my purse.
Sonny: That didn't take long.
Claudia: It's a small world, don't you think? One of my father's bodyguards recommended the Curtain, said it was kind of a mob hangout. Boy, were they right.
Sonny: You should try the borscht.
Claudia: Oh, is that what you and Andrei Karpov were talking about? Sonny Corinthos, newly-retired kingpin, meeting with one of Eastern Europe's most notorious gangsters? All you came away with was a taste for beet soup? I don't think so.
Matt: If there's no heart problems, what does that mean?
Nikolas: Hey.
Leyla: Hey.
Nikolas: What, uh -- what's your impression of that new doctor over there?
Leyla: Why do you ask?
Nikolas: Well, he's working on a Cassadine foundation grant. I'm just curious to know what the nurses think about him.
Leyla: So --
Matt: Just check to see if the patient is allergic to penicillin, and I will order up the antibiotics.
Nadine: Will do, Doctor.
Matt: Yes.
Nadine: Got it.
Matt: Nurse Crowell, somehow I ended up getting all the credit for the kid who came into the clinic this morning. Not that I don't deserve it, but I thought you did really well, too.
Nadine: Uh --
Matt: Don't think I didn't notice.
Nadine: No big deal.
Matt: Still, you made me look good. I love looking good. So, how about I buy you dinner?
Nadine: Are you asking me out?
Matt: Well, is that a problem for you?
Jax: I just saw Kate.
Carly: Wow, do I get a running commentary every time you see your business partner? Because if you think it helps, it doesn't.
Jax: No, I just wanted to give her a heads up in case Claudia Zacchara called, that I won't be selling my shares to her.
Carly: So, you told Kate all about that?
Jax: Well, yeah, that's uh -- that's how I run my business. Full disclosure, that's how I hope to run my marriage, too.
Carly: Mm-hmm. Kate can't stand me, and she won't be happy until you hate me.
Jax: Oh, Carly, come on, give me a little more credit. Look, I take a lot of pride in my business. I always have. And I don't like to lose. I always knew that I had to be successful, but I never understood why until you.
Carly: What did I do?
Jax: See, it's not all about winning or profit margins. It's about our life together. My success allows me to give you and Morgan and the children we don't have yet a great life with security and freedom. I mean freedom to do whatever we want, to see things, to learn about new things and never have to worry. There's a whole world out there, Carly. I mean, I want -- I want us to take Morgan to Paris, for instance, to see the "Mona Lisa" in person. And when he studies roman history, I want to -- I want to walk him through the forum myself. And there's things that I want to see with you, through your eyes. Uh -- I can give us the world, Carly. What I can't handle is your lack of trust and these destructive games that you insist on playing. And I want us to get past this. But I swear to you, if you sabotage my business with "Crimson" one more time, I'll leave you.
Kate: Clarice, I need you to set up a meeting with Roger Canfield in 45 minutes.
Clarice: I'll set it up and notify Jax.
Kate: No, Jax is going to be late.
Clarice: He is?
Kate: And when he asks why, you're going to tell him that you spoke to Carly and that she promised she would relay the message.
Clarice: You're submarining Mr. Jax's wife.
Kate: I've been patient with Carly. I really have, but she took the first shot. She went after my relationship with Sonny. She went after my reputation. She's undermining my business partnership and now my magazine. I mean really, Clarice. How much is a girl supposed to take?
Clarice: I'm surprised you put up with her as long as you have. You never allowed it when you were running "Couture."
Kate: Did you think I was going soft?
[Inaudible]
Kate: Well, ahem, the gloves are off, Clarice. If Carly lies to Jax one more time, Jax has told me that he's going to leave her, and it will be so much easier to deal with Jax once Carly is out of the picture.
Claudia: We dealt with Karpov when I was living with my Uncle Rudy in Milan.
Sonny: Why should that interest me?
Claudia: These people are dangerous. They have no code, no honor. They've been expanding throughout Europe, and it makes sense that they want to move into the U.S.
Sonny: Now, it's -- it's a big country.
Claudia: And Port Charles is the perfect point of entry, but Karpov is new here. He doesn't know the area. He doesn't know the players. So he needs someone to facilitate things. Enter you, newly-retired and bored out of your mind.
Sonny: Actually, not that bored. I mean, it's not really your concern, so --
Claudia: Well, it is my concern because these people are dangerous, and I would hate to see the balance of power upset.
Sonny: Well, I understand that you aren't allowed, you know, access to your family business. Now you're interfering with mine. It's not a good thing. You know what I mean?
Claudia: I'm thinking of my little brother here, the same way you're thinking of Jason. You are thinking of Jason, aren't you? What do you think he'd say about you and Karpov?
Sonny: Call him. Ask him.
Johnny: Get the gun out of here, Lulu. Take it outside and throw it in the trash.
Lulu: I can't stand the idea of you being locked up for something that I did. I thought I could use this to help you get out. I'm so sorry. I just -- I wanted to help, but everything that I do is making this worse.
Johnny: Okay, you need to get out of here. If you get caught with a gun in a police station, you're going to get arrested.
Lulu: No, I'm not leaving you. You can't pay for something that I did.
Johnny: You need to trust that I'm going to get out of this, Lulu, but if you go through with this now, we're all screwed.
Lucky: Where's my sister?
Harper: She's in with our V.I.P. murder suspect.
Johnny: Okay, try to calm down. You need to get out of here before you get caught.
Lulu: No, I can't do this anymore. I have to tell Lucky the truth.
[Lucky goes to the interrogation room]
Johnny: Back off, or I'll kill her.
[Johnny pulls gun on Lulu]
[Jason walks into the police station]
