and Burn Notice crazy!
Lucky: I will be in soon. If anything comes up in the meantime, I'm on my cell. Ok. No word on Lulu.
Sam: Hey, look, maybe -- maybe that is a good thing.
Lucky: You know what? I appreciate your attempt at optimism.
Sam: Hey, excuse me, but cliches exist because often they are true, and maybe at this point, no news is good news. I mean, there wasn't a shootout or anything. That's good.
Lucky: That's a good point.
Sam: You know what a better point is. Once you go out those doors, your world is going to come crashing in, so until then, here I am.
[Knock on door]
Lucky: Are you expecting someone?
Sam: No.
Elizabeth: Sam, it's Elizabeth. Are you home? ___________________________________________________________________________
Sonny: I didn't expect to see you again so soon. Have a seat. Karpov: I woke up to some rather disturbing news.
Sonny: Ok. Karpov: My representative, Sasha, informed me that your meeting last night came to an abrupt end, specifically because you chose to intervene in an gument between Anthony Zacchara and his daughter. I'm sure you can understand why this concerns me greatly. _______________________________________________________________________
Carly: This is getting ridiculous. Three arrests in 48 hours? It's got to be some kind of a record.
Jason: Diane's handling it right now.
Carly: Oh, but still. Are the police that unimaginative they can't come up with something else to do than arrest you every time something goes wrong in this town? We can't sit still with this, Jason. It's ridiculous.
Jason: It's -- no, Carly, don't do anything.
Carly: You bet I'm going to do something, starting with getting you out of here. Then you're going to help me find Lulu, and we're going to bring her home.
Jason: Ok, the whole Lulu situation is a lot more complicated than you think.
Carly: I know what's going on with Lulu. Lulu's nobody's hostage, least of all Johnny's. And this whole jailbreak thing is a product of her fevered little mind. ______________________________________________________________
Logan: All you care about is Johnny. You don't give a damn about me.
[Lulu screams]
[Gunshot]
Johnny: Shh, shh. ___________________________________________________________
Sam: Just a minute. I'll be right there, Elizabeth. What is she doing?
Lucky: I don't know, but I guess we're about to find out.
Sam: You have to get out of sight.
Lucky: Listen, just don't let anything slip about the counterfeit drug raid --
Sam: I know. Go!
Lucky: I don't want Elizabeth involved.
Sam: I know. Hold on.
Elizabeth: Hey, hi.
Sam: Oh, hi. Come on in.
Elizabeth: Did I wake you?
Sam: No, no, not at all.
Elizabeth: I know I should have called first. I do have an excuse, if you want to hear it.
Sam: Oh, ok. I followed an impulse, and you can tell me to shut up if you think it's none of my business.
Sam: Oh, now I'm really curious.
Elizabeth: Ok, well, I'm sure you know that Lulu has disappeared, and whether she's really a hostage or just following the man she loves, I couldn't say, but either way, Lucky is terrified for his sister. And since the two of you aren't together anymore, he doesn't have anybody to help him, you know, with his fear, so I was hoping that maybe I could convince you to be that person again. ____________________________________________________________
Sonny: I agreed to this quasi partnership with you because you present an attractive offer. In return for specific information on how Port Charles operates, you pay me a lot of money. But not nearly enough for you to police my life or question my associates. Now, look, if you got a problem with that, then we can end this right now. We could just walk away, no harm done. Karpov: I have every intention of making our deal work, but i don't want unnecessary troubles with zaccharas. You putting yourself into the middle of a domestic dispute between Anthony and Claudia is the very definition of trouble.
Sonny: For me, maybe. It had nothing to do with you. Karpov: Guilt by association.
Sonny: You had -- you shouldn't even concern yourself, because Anthony Zacchara won't be a factor much longer. Karpov: What makes you say so?
Sonny: His son is a fugitive, and he's making wrong decisions because he's in love. Right now, he's on the run with his girlfriend, and it is a good chance his pattern's going to hold up. He's going to do something stupid, because he's not very bright, and the cops have orders to use excessive force, so what's going to end up happening is Johnny's going to get himself killed, and his father Anthony is going to fall right over a cliff into madness. ____________________________________________________________
Jason: Ok, Carly, now I need you to listen to me, because the worst thing you can do for Lulu is come up with some plan that doesn't have a chance of working. It's going to make everything worse.
Carly: That's nice. That's great, thanks.
Jason: I'm not -- I'm not trying to hurt you. I'm not trying to fight you. I will -- I will be glad to tell you everything I know, but i need you to promise me you're not going to do anything. How many times have we been down this road?
Carly: Why did you get to decide? Lulu's my cousin.
Jason: Because it's my life. It's the one I chose. I know what I'm talking about.
Carly: Ok.
Jason: Ok, you know what? Maybe I should come at it from a Carly direction. Do you think I would ever do anything to hurt Lulu?
Carly: No. I trust you, Jason. You know that.
Jason: Hey, that's good. That's -- that's progress.
Carly: Great, I got a big problem with going home and sitting quiet in my room when Lulu's life is on the line. _________________________________________________________
Johnny: Whoever cleaned this place out must have gotten rid of all the food in the kitchen. We're going to have to go out at some point for some supplies.
Lulu: What? We can't.
Johnny: Lulu, we have to eat.
Lulu: We're fugitives, remember? We're not some romantic couple on a holiday in New York. We're -- go out? That's asking to get caught.
Johnny: Well, I'm willing to risk being arrested or being involved in a nice shootout for a strong cup of coffee.
Lulu: You're making jokes?
Johnny: Guess not. Sorry.
Lulu: No, I'm sorry. Just because I'm freaking out doesn't give me the right to jump all over you.
Johnny: No, you're right. We're fugitives, and if you're uptight, you have every right to be.
Lulu: It's not so much being on the run. It's Logan. I can't get him out of my head. He said I would never get over him, and I'm starting to see what he meant. _______________________________________________________________
Tracy: Thank you for meeting me.
Nikolas: I take it this is about Lulu.
Tracy: Instinct told me to check my father's gun cabinet, and there is a handgun missing. I believe that Lulu took it to Johnny and that this whole jailbreak thing was her idea.
Nikolas: Yeah, I wish I could say I'm shocked, but --
Tracy: Big news -- this isn't Lulu having first sex at the boathouse. She's putting her life in the hands of a very dangerous criminal who is reckless on a good day, and I can't reach Luke. Do you know where he is?
Scott: Well, I was hoping that I could answer that for you. Me and my beautiful daughter Serena's down at the bahamas, you know, and I know that Luke's been on one of his skin-diving trips. However, we didn't go into any rummy bars or bordellos.
Tracy: How long have you been back?
Scott: About 20 minutes or so. Why?
Nikolas: You haven't checked any messages?
Scott: Well, you know, it's hard to check messages when you're in 60 feet of water down there diving, you know. Why? Something happen?
Tracy: I hate to be the one to tell you this, scott. It's about Logan.
Scott: What has the kid done this time?
Nikolas: He's dead, Scott. ___________________________________________________________
Sam: I am not really sure what to say. I never really expected you to be encouraging me back to Lucky.
Elizabeth: Yeah, well, I'm a little surprised myself, but in my eyes, the breakup wasn't really fair, because no matter what you thought, you saw that day, Lucky and I are not romantically involved. We're parents together, and that's it.
Sam: Yeah, well, maybe that's what you think, and that's probably what Lucky thinks, too, but I am an invested observer, and I can clearly see that the two of you are connected on a deeper level. I -- I'm in -- I'm in actually no rush to get my heart handed back to me again. I -- I'm not really good. I think the whole town really knows what a bad reaction I have, and I really don't want to put myself through that again.
Elizabeth: I can understand wanting to protect your heart, but sometimes it's just not necessary. Sometimes, you can find a guy who will recognize your heart as the precious gift it is and honor and respect it like I like Lucky.
Sam: Wow, you haven't always felt that way.
Elizabeth: Well, lucky and I have had our problems, but we've both learned from them. But just don't give up on him. That's all I came here to say.
Sam: Thank you.
Elizabeth: Sure.
Sam: You know, it's weird. Now that I'm getting to know Elizabeth a little bit, I'm actually finding ways to respect her, like the way she genuinely cares about you. ______________________________________________________________ Karpov: I made contact with the congressman you recommended. I'm anticipating a mutually beneficial relationship.
Sonny: Good, good, I'm glad to hear that. And I'll contact Sasha about any transportation routes. Anything else? Karpov: Oh, now that you mention it, I'd appreciate it if you'd arrange an introduction to Jason Morgan.
Sonny: Why? Karpov: Well, I find it productive to meet face-to-face.
Sonny: Ok, you don't have to -- you don't have to meet face -- you're not going to have any dealings with Jason at all. You're not going to compete with him, infringe on him in any way. That was our deal. Karpov: Well, if my meeting with Jason makes you uncomfortable, consider the request withdrawn.
Sonny: That'll work. Max, show our guest out. Karpov: It's been a pleasure, Mr. Corinthos.
Max: Mr C, I've got to say it. This was a terrible idea to begin with, and it's getting worse by the minute. _____________________________________________________________
Anthony: Wait in the hall for me.
Claudia: Or you might want to wait outside. That way you'll be closer to the clean-up in case I decide to throw my father off the balcony.
Anthony: Have you ever noticed that all this family talks about is violence? Why is that, Claudia? I mean, there are plenty of other things to discuss. How about this weather we're having? No, seriously, there's politics. I mean, there's a potentially historical presidential race going on as we speak. But you put two Zaccharas in a room, and it's always about the violence or the hatred or the striking out. Hurt first, the Zacchara way.
Claudia: What's your point?
Anthony: I lost my temper last night, said horrible things. I came to tell you I'm sorry. ___________________________________________________________
Spinelli: Oh, Maxinista, a true sight for sore eyes.
Maxie: I brought fortifications.
Spinelli: Ok, the Jackal is much obliged and grateful for your consideration. Did you pass a restful night, despite the interloping presence of Dr. Hunter in your previously sacrosanct domicile?
Maxie: I didn't see him. He must have gotten back after I went to sleep last night and left before I woke up, which works out perfectly, because if I never have to see that self-involved jerk again, it would be way too soon. I mean, I can't believe robin rented out that room. She doesn't even live there.
Spinelli: Well, I'm sure the expectant one's intentions were honorable.
Maxie: Whatever, I'm not even really worried about that. I'm more concerned about finding Johnny and Lulu. Any leads?
Spinelli: The Jackal regrets to report that despite countless hours of video culling from the area where the mayor's car was found, no clues to the whereabouts of the fugitive ones has surfaced.
Maxie: You could have just said no. But maybe you missed something. I'll take a look.
Spinelli: While the Jackal is always pleased to have Maxinista's assistance. He fears that the fugitive ones may prove untraceable. _____________________________________________________________
Jason: We both want the same thing. We want Lulu back safe, facing minimal fallout. I need you to trust me to make that happen.
Carly: Ok, but I don't like being managed, Jason.
Jason: Well, don't -- don't make me manage you, ok? I'm going to let you in when the time is right, but now things are too volatile. Johnny and Lulu, they're scared. They're nervous. These guys right here are so embarrassed, they're trigger-happy. This is not a good situation right now, Carly.
Carly: Ok, I get it. I get it. You will fill me in on everything.
Jason: Yes, I'm -- I'm going to tell you everything.
Carly: I'll stay out of it. For now.
Jason: Ok, first thing you need to know -- Johnny did not kill Logan. Lulu did.
Carly: Are you sure about that?
Jason: Yeah, I am.
Carly: How do you know?
Jason: Spinelli told me, and Lulu confessed.
Carly: It had to be self-defense, Jason.
Jason: Logan broke into Johnny's apartment with an ax. He came after Lulu. She panicked. She was scared, obviously. She stabbed him. Johnny walked in. Logan was dead. That's when the cover-up started.
Carly: How long have you known about this?
Jason: I don't -- a day or so after it happened.
Carly: Oh, my God. And I'm just finding out about it now?
Jason: You know what? Lulu told me not to say anything. I need you to trust me right now, Carly.
Carly: Let me tell you something. If Lulu trusted you, she wouldn't have broken Johnny out of lockup. _____________________________________________________________
Sonny: Max, I appreciate, you know, leaving Jason to come work for me, but I didn't hire you as a consultant or a shrink. You're my bodyguard, the same as it's always been. You don't get to tell me how to conduct my business.
Max: Part of being a bodyguard is anticipating a problem. Now, Karpov is a heavy hitter. The guy is a straight-up criminal.
Sonny: Yes, so what?
Max: Well, so a couple of things. You swore to Kate that you were out of the business. Now you're going around aligning yourself with the Karpovs behind her back. Mr. C., You are a smart man.
Sonny: Mm-hmm.
Max: You must know that you're putting yourself in a situation that could blow up in your face. Now, if I didn't know better, I'd think that you were in that deliberately self-sabotaging mode that you disappear into.
Sonny: I know exactly what I'm doing, Max. You don't say a word to Kate, and no one has to worry about anything. Excuse me.
Max: I -- I hope not.
Sonny: You really think Jason would rise up against me?
Max: You tell me. If you were in charge, if you had taken over for someone who swore they were out clean and then they turned around and they made an alliance with one of your competitors, what would you do? There are faster ways to commit suicide than waving a red flag in front of Jason.
Sonny: How come you're not assuming that I'm -- I'm helping him instead of betraying him?
Max: I never said betray.
Sonny: Well, you implied it, Max.
Max: Things have been tense between you and Jason ever since Michael got hurt. Now you're helping Karpovs move in on his territory.
Sonny: I'm working with Karpov to keep him out of Jason's way. I'm helping Karpov so he leaves Jason alone. That's not betrayal. That's protection. __________________________________________________________
Carly: This is really bad. I mean, I think Lulu is more fragile than we realized. Her biggest fear is looking in the mirror one day and realizing she's lived her mother's life. How do we know that hasn't already happened?
Jason: What do you mean?
Carly: What if Logan raped Lulu? Luke raped laura, and then Laura turned around and killed her stepfather, a man she loved. I mean, not the same way Lulu loved Logan, but man, you've got to admit, the parallels are pretty scary. I'm sure Lulu is freaking out right now. She probably sees herself a few years down the road, sitting in some mental ward. I don't know, maybe I could have helped her if I knew. I just feel --
Jason: I'm sorry if I -- if i handled it wrong. I just reacted, you know --
Carly: No, it's not your fault. I'm not saying that. I'm just -- I'm really afraid for my cousin. I think Lulu's nightmare has just begun. _______________________________________________________
Scott: Listen, I want Commissioner Scorpio to meet me down at the police station. I want a detailed report of what happened to my son, how he was killed, and I -- and I want to know what the department is doing about finding his killer. Goodbye.
Tracy: Scott, I'm very sorry for your loss.
Scott: Oh, come on, Tracy. You hated Logan. You always looked down your society snout at him. He was never good enough for Lulu. You tried to get him out of town many times. Maybe you decided to get rid of him for good.
Tracy: Are you serious?
Scott: You're capable of that, Tracy. You're capable of anything. Maybe you made a deal with Johnny to get him out of Lulu's life permanently, huh?
Nikolas: Hey, settle down. All right, your son was just killed. Just let it settle before you start making accusations you can't back up.
Scott: You people treated Logan like something you'd scrape off your penny loafer. I wasn't there for him in this life, but I'm stepping up now. He was a human being. He was my son, dammit, and I'm going to find out who killed him, and they are going to pay. You got that? __________________________________________________________
Johnny: I can handle a little trip to the store, Lulu.
Lulu: You are the one that's supposed to be armed and dangerous. Your face is the one that is probably plastered all over the newspapers and the news. I can be anonymous.
Johnny: Yeah, not with that mug.
Lulu: Flattery will get you anything you want.
Johnny: Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for.
Lulu: Seriously, I'll go out, and I'll get a -- a hat and sunglasses, and no one will even notice me.
Johnny: You have been through enough.
Lulu: I had a nightmare, big whoop.
Johnny: Yeah, it is a big whoop. Look, it just reaffirms what you said, that you're drowning in guilt over Logan.
Lulu: It was a nightmare. I've had them before. I probably will have them again, but it doesn't make me helpless.
Johnny: Do you plan on always being this stubborn?
Lulu: What you see is pretty much what you get.
Johnny: Then you'll need some cash.
Lulu: Wow. Let me just take a second to congratulate myself. When you bust a guy out of jail, it really helps when he is equipped with tons of cash, a getaway car, and a preplanned getaway bag.
Johnny: Well, I aim to please.
Lulu: Any special requests?
Johnny: Yeah, one.
Johnny: Be safe. And chips and salsa.
Lulu: Oh, you got it. ______________________________________________________________
Anthony: I got to tell you, it took me by surprise the way Sonny rushed to your defense like some black knight in tarnished armor. Last I knew, you were supposed to have despised each other.
Claudia: Well, maybe even sonny has his limits. Maybe he didn't think it was appropriate, you know, for a father to be screaming at his daughter in the middle of a crowded restaurant about how he wished he drowned her when she was a baby.
Anthony: You know I didn't mean that.
Claudia: No, I really don't.
Anthony: If that's true, it breaks my heart. We haven't been good to each other, Claudia. That's your mother's fault. It is. She turned you against me, and I couldn't trust you after that. She tried to make you over into her own selfish image, and she succeeded too well. You got greedy. You got hungry for more power than any woman should ever have. I regret that. I regret what's between us. I wish we could have been closer. But things are what they are. That hunger for power makes you dangerous to John. I can't let that stand.
[Phone rings]
Claudia: Yeah?
Johnny: Can you talk?
Claudia: Um, I would love to talk to you, but it is really not the best time right now.
Johnny: Dad's there?
Claudia: Yeah, something like that.
Johnny: All right, I understand. I just want you to know I am safe.
Claudia: All right.
Johnny: I'll be in touch.
Anthony: That was John, wasn't it?
Claudia: Uh, no, actually that was Sonny. He just called to make sure I was safe.
Anthony: Aww, I'm touched.
Claudia: Oh, yeah, right. You know, I am starting to see sonny in a whole new light, daddy. Maybe I should go after him after all. I mean, you know how us power-hungry women are. Got to have that access.
Anthony: Don't waste your time. Sonny retired. He cut his own power off at the knees. You'll need a better ally than Corinthos to protect you.
Claudia: Oh, yeah? So I need protection now? So much for your apology.
Anthony: Believe it or not, Claudia, I love you -- in my own way. But I got to be honest. I love your brother more. I want him back. Every hair in place. If that does not happen, the finger of blame will point directly at you.
