Monica: Well, don't all knock yourselves out at the welcome.
Edward: Welcome home, dear.
Alice: So nice to have you home, Dr. Q. You have a seat right here.
Monica: Look, I was in rehab. Not an old folks' home.
Tracy: Well, Scott, I think now would be a good time for you to leave. You could go under your own steam, or perhaps we could enlist Alice here to try one of her signature moves. How about the "spinning impaler"?
Alice: Ooh, that's a good one. But I wouldn't want to upset Dr. Q.
Monica: Upset her? No, actually, it would make her day.
Alice: Oh.
Scott: Take it easy, Alice, all right? Throwing me out isn't going to do any good. Because all of you could be brought up on charges.
Monica: Whoo, happy days.
Scott: Except you, Monica. You see, Lulu was living here while she was planning Johnny's escape, so you're all guilty of aiding and abetting. All I have to do is call the judge and get a warrant. This is water.
Monica: Ok, Scott. Get your warrant if you want, but in the meantime, this is my house and you are trespassing. So Alice, I think you should go ahead and try out your "spinning impaler."
[Knuckles crack]
Scott: All right, listen. I'm going to be back. With a lot of police.
Tracy: Bring backup.
Edward: You'll need it.
Tracy: So, Monica. How's it feel to be back?
Monica: Like I've walked into a house of morons.
Nikolas: Any word on Lulu?
Lucky: I was hoping maybe you'd heard from her.
Nikolas: No, I haven't.
Lucky: The Zaccharas, they're set up to get somebody out of town in a hurry. They'd have vehicles, they'd have money, they -- they'd have it ready and waiting.
Nikolas: I know, yeah. Well, if that's the case, then the odds are Lulu's safe. I mean, I honestly doubt that Johnny was really holding her hostage.
Lucky: Then why hasn't she called yet?
Nikolas: Lucky, because one reason is, you're a cop and she wouldn't want to put you in that position.
Lucky: I'm her brother. She knows that. That comes first.
Nikolas: What's going on? Something else happen? Huh?
Lucky: I was on the computer at the office, and I was trying to find a lead. Three, four in the morning -- I was fried, I was getting nowhere. I thought I should maybe lay down, so I found this couch in an empty office. You know, I just wanted to catch, like, 15 minutes. I'm starting to fall asleep as I'm lying there. As I start to drift, I wake up, because I feel like I'm having this panic attack. My heart is just pounding against my chest. Because I feel like if I -- if I let myself fall asleep, that I'm going to keep plunging into this darkness. I don't know. I just feel like I'm losing it.
Nikolas: No I wouldn't say that, Lucky. I think maybe you're afraid to lose more than you already have. Mom's basically gone. You lost your wife. Your dad's M.I.A. with a bad heart. Lulu's on the run. Your girlfriend's going undercover with a bunch of drug dealers. I understand.
Lucky: Sam, that's what's she's doing. She'll be ok. You're right about Lulu.
Nikolas: What about you?
Lucky: What about me?
Nikolas: Are you ok?
Lucky: I'm not the one that's being hunted -
Lucky: Just afraid that we're not going to see Lulu alive again.
Lulu: Things are going to get a little crazy once I start school and Joe's into the whole music thing, so right now we're enjoying the time that we have together.
Lourdes: This is New York, ok? There are millions of musicians trying to get work, and being good isn't enough. Yeah, Joe needs to put himself out there. Trying to get stuff.
Lulu: He will.
Lourdes: He's wasting his time and who knows what opportunities? He can't do this halfway.
Lulu: We can do this however we want.
Lourdes: If Joe's going to have a real chance at making it, it's going to mean late nights and clubs and parties. Talking to the right people. He's going to need someone to hang with that. Not some clingy girl that's going to hold him back. No offense.
Johnny: All loaded up.
Lourdes: Thanks for helping Sal out.
Johnny: Yeah, glad I could do it.
Lourdes: Linda and I were just talking about how you need to get yourself out there. Show the world all that talent and that killer smile of yours. Now, I know a couple people at some clubs that can set you up.
Johnny: Thanks, but I'm not ready yet.
Lourdes: Well, if you change your mind, just let me know.
Johnny: Thank you.
Lulu: That girl is trouble.
Nikolas: Look, I'm terrified for Lulu, too, but I also have a lot of faith in her. She'll make it through this.
Lucky: You're right. You know, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have this meltdown with you. I mean, you have your home life to contend with. A new clinic. It's been used to funnel counterfeit drugs and -
Nikolas: Yeah, right. Not to mention an overzealous nurse that wants to ride to the rescue all the time.
Lucky: What do you know about this Dr. Matt Hunter?
Nikolas: Oh, god, please tell me that you're not buying into Nadine's suspicions, too, are you?
Lucky: You think she's wrong?
Nikolas: Well, I think that she's caught up in the drama of trying to prove something -- anything.
Lucky: Yeah, Sam, she's going through the same thing. You know, I admire the way she's putting herself out there, but this whole undercover feels -- it's not wrong, exactly -
Nikolas: No, I know, but it's not wrong, but it feels out of character for her.
Lucky: Right.
Nikolas: When Nadine -- this nurse -- goes on about her clues and theories, it kind of reminds me of the way we all used to be, you know? The four musketeers. You know, it really makes me miss Emily. A lot.
Lucky: You know, it's not the same. It's a different kind of loss. But I miss Elizabeth, too.
Nikolas: Yeah. She was the love of your life. You thought you were going to spend the rest of your life with her.
Nadine: Just keep that bandage dry and we'll see you in a couple of weeks, ok?
Patient: Thank you.
Nadine: You're welcome.
Matt: What the hell?
Nadine: Oh. I was just spot checking the meds. I figure we can't be too careful.
Matt: The meds have already been switched before they come in here. No one is sneaking in and -
Nadine: Switching them? That's what you were going to say, right?
Matt: Yeah, but -
Nadine: That's not what I was doing.
Matt: I never said it was.
Nadine: Ok, if you even mention this to Nikolas, I mean, if my name is even associated with the counterfeit drugs, I could lose my job. I'd be totally screwed.
Matt: I know that. And I also know that you don't need a raise. Nikolas just gave you one.
Nadine: Right. As if that even -
Matt: What? What?
Nadine: My sister was caught sabotaging the hospital to set it up for this big HOM takeover. So it took a long time and a lot of phony smiles before people stopped looking at me with suspicion, wondering if I was capable of the same thing. I think everyone's capable of something like that if they get pushed far enough into a corner, don't you?
Matt: Why are you telling me all of this?
Nadine: The amount of money they offered my sister -- I couldn't make that in ten lifetimes at this job. Not even with the money Nikolas offered me with this big huge raise.
Matt: What the hell are you up to?
Monica: If this weren't so insulting, it would be laughable. Water in the vodka bottle. What's in the scotch and bourbon decanters? Root beer?
Edward: Well, we just didn't want you to have to face temptation.
Monica: Do you think you can hide liquor from a dedicated drunk?
Tracy: You certainly became an expert.
Alice: Miss Tracy. I don't think that's the way -
Tracy: You're not paid to think. Monica, when you left, we found booze all over the house, in every water bottle.
Edward: Mm-hm. Do you know that cook tried to put a fire in the kitchen and nearly burned down the house?
Monica: Well, cook should have had a fire extinguisher. Anyway, it's my house, and if it burns down, so be it.
Edward: Monica, but -- we are your family, dear, and we are standing by you.
Monica: Well, then, stand by me. Don't condescend to me. Don't talk down to me or walk on eggshells.
Edward: Fine.
Tracy: Fine. If that's the way you want it. And how about you? Drop this childish habit of saying "it's my house."
Monica: Because it is my house. Alan gave it to me.
Tracy: And we're all squatters.
Monica: Well, basically. I have allowed you to stay here.
Edward: It is a family estate, dear, and like it or not, we are your family.
[All talking at once]
Spinelli: I checked Mr. Sir's offshore accounts and found money transfers from one of Mr. Karpov's holding companies. It is a most distressing situation. And you know, now that I've brought this information to light, I am worried -
Jason: You did good.
Spinelli: What does Stone Cold plan to do now?
Jason: Nothing for now.
Spinelli: Well, no doubt this betrayal cuts deeper in light of your mother's plea.
Jason: One thing has nothing to do with the other, Spinelli.
Spinelli: You turned your back on your family to work for Mr. Sir. And now must distance yourself further from your mother as well as Jake and Elizabeth, because running the mob makes them a target. All this, you did for Mr. Sir. And now he repays you by turning to the enemy. You may not say it, Stone Cold, but I will. Knowing your true nature, you deserve better.
Lulu: Either her crush has gotten dangerous, or she has the idea that we're hiding something.
Johnny: Tell me what she said.
Lulu: She wanted to know why we weren't leaving the apartment.
Johnny: And what did you say?
Lulu: Basically that we can't get enough of each other.
Johnny: Oh, so you were honest.
Lulu: She wasn't thrilled. I mean, I think she seriously wants to be the piano teacher's pet.
Johnny: I can handle a simple crush, Lulu.
Lulu: Oh, so you're used to girls throwing themselves at you.
Johnny: Hey. The one that I really cared out did just the opposite, remember? You pushed me away.
Lulu: Yeah, not anymore.
[Knock at door]
Lourdes: Linda? Joe? It's me.
Johnny: Oh, my god.
Lourdes: Are you up for giving me another lesson?
Johnny: Sure.
Lulu: Wow, ok. Guess I'll be making dinner.
Johnny: Go on. We'll pick up where we left off.
[Clears throat]
Lourdes: I hope you're not mad at me for interrupting, Johnny.
Patrick: Ok, so, what do you think?
Robin: I think you should call your dad and see what they want for dinner.
Patrick: Robin, what do you think about the patient?
Robin: I'm worried about my mother.
Patrick: That's all we've done, is worry about your mother. Your mom and Eli. What about me? What about spending a little time with the baby's father?
Robin: I want to do that, too.
Patrick: But?
Robin: But my mother at a dinner with your father, who happens to look exactly like you -- so what if she rebounds?
Patrick: We're not going to do this. We're not going to do this. We're not going to think about your mother and my father getting together romantically. It's not going to happen. So we're not going to do this.
Robin: You're right. You're right.
Patrick: You're right.
Robin: It's totally silly.
Patrick: Ok.
Robin: So.
Patrick: So, what do you think?
Robin: I'll be right back.
Noah: I think, in time, you're probably going to miss Eli and that rock star thing.
Anna: Ah, no. Not in the slightest. No. I swear. When they were wheeling him out of my life forever, I didn't even have the smallest twinge of regret. Nothing.
Noah: Ok.
Anna: Oh, my gosh.
Noah: What?
Anna: No. You know what I'm thinking? That last summer, when I was attracted to you because I thought you looked like Eli?
Noah: Yeah.
Anna: Maybe I was attracted to Eli because he looks like you.
Noah: Probably should say something noble right now. What the hell.
Matt: You've been dropping hints every single time that we talk, so if you have a business proposal, just come out and make it.
Nadine: How do I know I can trust you?
Matt: You can trust that I'm sick of being poor. And you can trust that I would love to get my hands on the kind of money that they offered your sister. So tell me something useful, or stop wasting my time.
Nikolas: Hey, hey, don't speak her that way. Not ever.
Nadine: Nikolas. He -- he -- Nikolas: I don't care. It doesn't matter. You treat her with respect or you're done here, do you understand?
Matt: Yeah. Yeah.
Nikolas: Go.
Nadine: You totally blew it.
Nikolas: I don't -
Nadine: I was just about to get him to admit something!
Nikolas: This needs to stop. This is getting ridiculous.
Nadine: I was getting it all on voice mail. N
ikolas: Give this to me. No more investigating.
Nadine: Wait a minute.
Nikolas: Just leave Matt Hunter alone and stay out of trouble, will you? God.
Nadine: Oh!
Jason: I don't want to accuse Sonny of anything yet, you know? There's got to be something -- there's got to be something else going on. You've got to believe it. You've got to believe maybe he's getting information from Karpov. Maybe he's in such deep grief over Michael that Karpov's taking advantage of him. I don't know.
Spinelli: Perhaps -- with all due respect, perhaps Stone Cold needs to believe that because the alternative is too painful. That Mr. Sir, a man you once looked on as a father and a person you respected above all others is maybe not deserving of your loyalty. That he's truly betrayed you.
Claudia: Oh, that was a long and intense phone conversation.
Sonny: Were you spying on me?
Claudia: Oh, come on, it's not that hard to figure out it was Karpov. You should enjoy it while it lasts. Because sooner or later, Jason is going to figure it out.
Sonny: Jason's better off not knowing.
Claudia: He wouldn't be worthy of the trust you put in him if he couldn't figure it out. But see, I think you want him to. I think it's a slap in the face because he helped Carly take away your kids.
Sonny: I'm acting in Jason's best interest.
Claudia: Keep telling yourself that. When it sounds like revenge and it looks like revenge, baby, it's revenge.
Johnny: My name's Joe.
Lourdes: No, it's not. I saw the news bulletin. You're John Zacchara, son of mob boss Anthony Zacchara. You killed some guy upstate and took your girlfriend as hostage, except obviously she's no hostage.
Johnny: I did not murder Logan Hayes. It was self-defense, ok? But his father is the special prosecutor and he was trying to put me away on murder. I'm not saying that I'm a nice guy by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm no killer.
Lourdes: See, that's why I didn't tell Sal or anybody else. Your father killed mine. And if Sal knew the truth, he would put a bullet through your head.
Johnny: I know. And I can't defend what my father and his people did to your dad. And I understand if you and Sal hate me.
Lourdes: You're a good person. And you don't have to worry. I won't tell anyone your secret. I won't say that you're John Zacchara.
