Maxie: Did I not make myself clear the first 57 times I told you you're not welcome to help yourself to my food?
Matt: Well, if you didn't take my garage door opener, then I didn't take your cheese enchilada. So now you've had the pleasure of seeing me naked, again. I'll see you later.
Maxie: Why would it matter that I've seen you next to naked? Nothing about you is impressive.
[Knock on door]
Sal: Yo, Joe. It's me, man. So listen, I looked around like you asked me to, bro, and there's no sign of Linda.
[Johnny sighs]
Johnny: All right, well, thanks for looking.
Sal: No problem. Relax, man. So your girlfriend took off for a few hours, what's the problem? I'd think you'd be happy.
Lulu: Hi, mom. I shouldn't be here. If the cops find me, they'll probably arrest me, but that doesn't scare me as much as -- you're probably the only one that can possibly understand. I'm afraid I'm turning into you.
Jason: A Russian boss named Andrei Karpov is moving to port charles. He made contact with Sonny. Obviously, they made some type of deal.
Carly: Wow. I know sonny's selfish, but I honestly never thought he'd betray you like this.
Maxie: I mean, nobody really wants you here, so why don't you just move out?
Matt: It's not going to happen.
Maxie: You know, mac fixed up this room for robin, not some total obnoxious stranger off the street. You're taking advantage of a small misunderstanding and a very hurtful situation.
Matt: Mac signed the rental agreement.
Maxie: He's the police commissioner. He's got a lot of stuff going on.
Matt: I'm not interested in his mental state at the time that he signed it. It's legal and binding. As long as I follow the rules, no one can kick me out, especially some brat who looks for any excuse to just get up all in my face.
Maxie: You're a doctor. You should be able to afford your own house or at least rent an apartment.
Matt: I have a lot of student loans, ok? Now, if you can just tear yourself away for, like, a moment --
Maxie: Give it up.
Matt: What?
Maxie: Both of you. I know what's going on here.
Matt: Are you -- are you having some sort of episode or something?
Maxie: You are so busted. Come on.
Sam: I know what it's like to be hunted by the cops, to be -- to be chased by people who have direct orders to use deadly force on you.
Scott: Well, that's because you're a grifter and a thief.
Sam: Bingo. Lulu is just a kid who was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Scott: She knew what she was doing.
Sam: But authorizing the -- the use of deadly force and have her put on as an accomplice, it -- it kind of is sort of like you're trying to have her killed.
Scott: She brought this on herself when she helped the man that killed my son escape.
Sam: I don't know, but I don't think anyone's been convicted of anything yet.
Scott: Well, then why is he on the run and why did lulu help him?
Nikolas: Lulu was taken hostage and dragged out of the police station at gun point, ok? And then she -- she wasn't a threat to anyone, but you didn't show any concern for her safety. In fact, you didn't do anything to get her away from the man who -- who you think is a killer.
Scott: Lulu is not innocent in any of this, all right? She misled my son. She broke his heart and then she stepped on it. And then she ran off with the guy that murdered him.
Nikolas: Logan's murder could have been -- it could've been a mob hit, ok? I mean, the -- the kid was working for Anthony Zacchara. Anyone could've killed him.
Sam: But you don't want to consider that, do you? No, you're planning to railroad Johnny and he knows it. No wonder why he ran away.
Scott: All I want is justice for my son.
Nikolas: That's a lie, Scott. All you want is vengeance.
Johnny: Linda and I had a stupid fight, and I left in the middle of it to help you move furniture. I mean, I don't blame her for being mad.
Sal: Bro, she probably just needs some time to cool off, man.
Johnny: Yeah. We'll probably laugh about it sometime, but she took the car keys. She's not used to driving in New York. She's used to driving in Chicago. I'm afraid she can get lost.
Sal: Well, she'd probably know her way around town if you took her out every now and then, bro. Tu saves?
Johnny: You're right. She was just probably feeling cooped up.
Sal: You know, you're a bit overprotective, if you don't mind me saying, bro.
Johnny: No, you're right. I overreacted. We had a stupid fight and I left in the middle of it. Now I got to wait for her.
Lulu: I always thought it would be so romantic to be on the run like you and dad were all those years, but it is not like the stories that you told me. I am scared all the time. I am homesick. I can't sleep. I have these horrible nightmares. I wish you could tell me if you had the nightmares. I know I'm -- I'm, um, I'm not making sense.
[Lulu sighs]
Lulu: I told you about me and Johnny. I was stuck between him and Logan. But now Logan Hayes is dead, and Johnny confessed to killing him. Johnny shouldn't have been locked up in the first place. I had to break him out. I mean, you would've done the same thing for dad. So I went to the quartermaines and I stole a gun and I put it in my purse and I snuck into the PCPD. It was very wrong and one of the most stupid things I could have done, but I haven't been thinking clearly lately. And he grabbed me and dragged me out. I was terrified. I still am terrified. And I'm -- I'm not supposed to be like this. I'm a spencer. I'm supposed to be tough and resourceful, but I am -- I'm not like dad. I'm like you.
Lulu: When you thought you killed Rick Webber, you lost your mind. I've killed Logan Hayes. I'm afraid I'm losing my mind, too.
Jason: Ok, I just -- I just need you to hear me out. I want you to help me think this through, ok?
Carly: Ok.
Jason: Ok. You know Sonny better than anyone, so I need -- I really need to figure out why he's doing this. I need to figure out if it's some type of mistake or if there's something really serious going on here.
Carly: All right, talk to me. Tell me everything from the beginning.
Jason: Like I said, Andrei Karpov, Russian boss, ok? He is a heavy hitter in europe and he wants to start doing business here in port charles.
Carly: How'd you find this out?
Jason: Ric. Carly: Ric Lansing?
Jason: Yes, he told me sonny was meeting with karpov so I had Spinelli check it out and it's --
[Jason sighs]
Jason: I can't believe it. I mean, it's true. There's a money trail. Obviously, karpov is paying sonny for something.
Carly: Oh, Jason, I'm sorry.
Jason: Not that I need it. I've got pictures of Karpov going in and out of Sonny's house.
Carly: Are you sure it's not something else? I mean, maybe sonny's doing something outside of Port Charles with this guy.
Jason: Diane says no.
Carly: Diane? She knew about all this and she didn't tell you?
Jason: It's attorney-client privilege, Carly. What do you want me to say?
Carly: Well, that's great. So basically you are telling me that your attorney and your best friend both betrayed you.
Jason: Sonny doesn't see this as a betrayal.
Matt: Why are you hiding in my bedroom?
Nadine: I -- I don't know why that would be so hard to figure --
Maxie: As if you didn't know she was here.
Matt: I didn't.
Maxie: Oh, the rental agreement says no overnight visitors and that includes during-the-day hookups.
Matt: Is that what's going on? You two are working together? You set me up?
Maxie: No, I didn't.
Nadine: It's the spaghetti.
Matt: The what?
Nadine: Yeah, uh, the pacetti or fuselodge -- whatever I spilled on you the night at dinner?
Maxie: Dinner? See, you guys are dating. I knew it.
Matt: It wasn't a date.
Nadine: No, it was an accident. Not the dinner, the pasta. And I feel really bad because I know money's a really big issue for you right now, and I ruined that shirt and I wanted to replace it.
Matt: You broke in here to give me a shirt?
Nadine: Yeah.
Maxie: So where is it? Where's the shirt?
Nadine: I don't have it. I need to check the size.
Maxie: Could you help her out? She's like the worst liar I've ever heard.
Matt: I didn't know she was in here, ok, I swear.
Maxie: Why don't you just admit it. You left work early for my cheese enchilada and a quickie.
Matt: That -- that is ridiculous -- those two do not go together.
Maxie: Why else would you be home during the day? You know, I really hope Nikolas doesn't find out about this. He'd be really disappointed.
Nadine: You know what? You can tell Nikolas whatever you want, ok? I don't have to listen to any of this. No.
Maxie: Well, I hope your little booty call was enjoyable because it's about to get you evicted.
Nikolas: You don't want justice for Logan. You want revenge because Laura dumped you for Luke.
Scott: That's ancient history.
Nikolas: Well -- sam: Well, maybe, but the parallels are obvious. Laura did choose Luke over you, just like Lulu chose Johnny over your son.
Scott: Lulu lied to Logan, led him on.
Sam: Yeah, isn't that what Laura did to you?
Nikolas: You just can't get over it, can you, Scott? That's why you made sure Lulu found out about the rape in open court. That's why you tried to -- tried to prosecute her, oh, the first time that logan attacked her.
Scott: She clubbed him with a monkey wrench and put him in a coma.
Sam: Well, he probably deserved it.
Scott: And now she's aiding and abetting the guy that killed my son and left him for dead in the street.
Nikolas: You don't know who killed your son. Oh, wait, you don't -- you don't particularly care, do you, as long as you can use the power of your office to destroy Lulu? Laura would be really proud of you for that.
Scott: I wonder what laura would think right now, what her daughter turned into.
Sam: Oh, and I -- I just -- I'm not sure what -- what that would be, really, a scared young woman you're hunting down like an animal.
Scott: Lulu is the reason why johnny attacked Logan at the metro court.
Nikolas: You don't have any proof of that.
Scott: He was a threat. Logan was a threat and Johnny wanted him out of the way. Sam: Oh, I -- I'm -- is that what you're planning on saying in court, or are you going to make sure Johnny's dead before that happens?
Nikolas: Why don't you hold your revenge on the real target here? Luke. I mean, it's him that you want, right, not really his daughter.
Scott: Luke -- he's a has-been. He's a drunk. He's destroyed his own life. He doesn't need my help to do anything.
Nikolas: What would laura think if she were to wake up right now? How would you explain this to her? How would you justify allowing the police to shoot at her daughter? Do you believe she'd forgive you for that?
Lulu: I didn't mean to kill Logan. Logan loved me more than I ever loved him, like you and Scott Baldwin. And if I had just been honest with him, but I wasn't. I let him believe that I had more feelings for him than i really did. I wanted love to be safe and manageable. And I knew I had that with Logan, but Johnny -
[Lulu chuckles]
Lulu: Oh, nothing about me and johnny makes sense, not even the first time I got in the car with him. I knew I was safe. I knew the first time I met him, I'd changed. My life had changed. And if I just accepted how i felt from the start -- but I didn't. And I led Logan on. And I can't seem to get away from him.
Lulu: I see him sometimes. Did that happen to you? Did you see Rick Webber when you knew there was no way he was there? I'm scared all the time. I'm scared to sleep. I'm scared to be awake.
Lulu: In a way, fear is what started all of this. I was afraid of my feelings with Johnny, so I hid behind Logan and that's why he's dead.
Carly: Of course Sonny doesn't see this as betrayal. In his mind, he never betrays anyone. It's always the other way around.
Jason: Well, if Sonny wants back in the business, why didn't he just take it when I offered it to him?
Carly: Because that would be admitting a mistake. It means he was wrong for trying to retire early and forcing you to take over the business, not to mention he'd lose Kate. And as far as I'm concerned, that would be the upside.
Jason: Sonny says that he's working with Karpov to keep in him in line, to guarantee that Karpov will not be a threat to me.
Carly: Ok, do you believe that?
Jason: I want to believe it. But if Sonny really wants to protect me, why'd he go behind my back?
Carly: I don't know, honey. He's just trying to punish himself more for what happened to michael. Giving up his life's work wasn't enough. He had to push you away. And now he's trying to force you to work against him. He doesn't realize how his actions are affecting everybody else here.
Jason: I don't want to believe that Sonny would purposely set out to undermine me. But if he doesn't respect me as the head of this organization, what am I going to do? He should've come to me when he heard about Karpov.
Carly: What are you going to do, Jason?
Jason: I don't know.
Carly: Jason, you're the head of the organization. If Sonny's a threat, you have to treat him that way.
Maxie: Mac, the boarder from hell has already broken the most basic rule of the rental agreement. He was having unbelievably loud sex upstairs during the day. I mean, it was so loud, even i was offended. Oh, hey!
Matt: Commissioner Scorpio, Matt Hunter. I'll be more than happy to explain to you what actually happened at your convenience. But just so you know, I am enjoying living here and have every intention of staying. Speak to you soon.
Maxie: It's too late. Mac's really strict about anyone having sex in this house.
Matt: Which apparently hasn't stopped you from having sex pretty much everywhere else.
Maxie: Who I sleep with and where is absolutely none of your business.
Matt: Just like my personal life is none of yours.
Maxie: Just admit you had a quickie with Nadine.
Matt: I'm not going to admit to anything. But I am going to find out what the hell Nadine was doing here.
Nikolas: Nadine, would you call me back when you get this, please? I sincerely hope you're not hiding under Matt Hunter's bed or in jail for breaking into the police commissioner's home. Thank you.
Lucky: I have some bad news.
Nikolas: I -- I already heard. Lulu's been officially listed as johnny's accomplice and baldwin came here to gloat about it.
Lucky: Yeah, well, I spent all morning arguing with Mac, the FBI, and anybody else that would listen, but of course I didn't have much to work with. I mean, Lulu is the only one who could've slipped him that gun, right?
Nikolas: You should have heard baldwin go on about it.
Lucky: I can only imagine. I mean, I -- I don't think Lulu expected Johnny to actually hold her hostage at that particular moment, but now she's definitely in on it.
Nikolas: Well, I'm sure he'll protect her the best he can. And I'm somewhat sure that he won't hurt her.
Lucky: I hope you're right because lulu is in some real trouble now.
Nikolas: I know. I'm not sure how long she can last on the run.
Lucky: What's that supposed to mean?
Lulu: Now I know why you always had a soft spot for Scott Baldwin, why you could never let go. It's how the guilt works. And it's even worse when you're keeping a secret. I should tell somebody what i did. I should just confess. But then Johnny will blame himself and -- I can't think about that. I can't. I need to focus on keeping the secret.
Lulu: You didn't even kill Scott Baldwin. You just broke his heart. Logan was coming after me and I was begging him to stop, but he could not hear me that night. He was so far gone. He didn't even know what he was doing. And I had to protect myself. I had to defend myself, so i did. I did. Talking to you just helps me relax so I can see things more clearly. I wish you could just tell me what to do.
Scott: I'm special prosecutor Scott Baldwin. I'm going to check on Laura here. Has anybody been by today?
Nurse: Her son, Nikolas, visits every week. No one else has signed in for a while.
Scott: Ok. I'm going to take a look.
Johnny: Yeah?
Lourdes: It's Lourdes. Hey.
Johnny: Hey.
Lourdes: Sal told me Lulu's missing. Where do you think she went?
Johnny: She just went out for a while.
Lourdes: Sal said she took the car keys.
Johnny: I'll let you know when she's back, ok?
Lourdes: Well, maybe she decided to go upstate and turn herself in.
Johnny: Lulu wouldn't do that.
Lourdes: But she wasn't happy here. Maybe she just couldn't take it. And you know what that means, don't you? I have to get you out of here.
Carly: If anyone else in the organization went behind your back to work for the enemy, what would you do?
Jason: Sonny isn't anyone else. He's not my enemy.
Carly: But you know Sonny. He is going to keep pushing you to punish you for helping me get Michael and Morgan away from him.
Jason: Then let him push.
Carly: You don't have that option, Jason. Sonny's not like you. He doesn't respect boundaries. Hell, he doesn't even see them half the time, Jason. He doesn't know when to stop.
Jason: What do you want me to do? Do you know what you're saying right now? If I treat this as a business and Sonny is a threat and I treat him like anybody else, then he should be eliminated.
