Claudia: Well, it's not every day a corinthos summons a zacchara. Must be important.

Sonny: Jason knows I'm in business with karpov.

Claudia: You had to know that was going to happen.

Sonny: Ok. Not too many people know about my involvement. You're one of them. Did you spill your guts to jason?

Jason: It's not going to be easy to stop karpov without dragging sonny into this.

Spinelli: While we're on the subject of that most dubious personage -- I'm referring to comrade karpov, of course, not mr. Sir --

[Knock on door]

Ric: Got a minute?

Jason: For what?

Spinelli: Why would stone cold spend any of his precious over-extended time in conversation with the twisted darth lansing?

Ric: Because I'm the guy who can help johnny and lulu.

Anthony: Wow. You're a lovely sight for this pair of tired old eyes.

Carly: If only you were as decrepit as you'd like the rest of us to believe.

Anthony: You flatter me.

Carly: I hear you're leaving us soon.

Anthony: The house is almost ready to move into.

Carly: Well, I hope the metro court lived up to your expectations.

Anthony: No complaints.

Carly: Glad to hear it.

Anthony: I like this. We're having a pleasant little chatty cathy kind of moment. Maybe you're willing to take it a step further and tell me -- how's my son?

Maxie: Could you page dr. Matt hunter, please?

Elizabeth: He's assisting in a surgery. Would you like to leave him a message?

Maxie: They actually let that guy in an operating room?

Elizabeth: He's a surgical resident. That's generally how it works.

Maxie: No, matt hunter is an arrogant jerk. He's not nearly as brilliant or talented as he thinks he is.

Elizabeth: Well, dr. Behar, who's letting him assist, obviously disagrees.

Maxie: Even if matt hunter is a halfway decent doctor, he's still the world's worst roommate. He's rude, inconsiderate, helps himself to whatever he feels like. He used my shampoo, which you can only get from a special salon in manhattan. And he keeps eating my cheese enchiladas, so I have to go to the nature food market to get more.

Elizabeth: You know, maybe you should take this up with him when he's off duty.

Maxie: No, no, no. You just give him these and you tell him I expect full reimbursement. He's lucky I'm not charging extra for emotional distress.

Elizabeth: Ok, this is not my duty. You're going to have to handle this yourself.

Maxie: Wow. Hold onto things much? I mean, it's been ages since i was with lucky. Don't you think it's time to let that go?

Elizabeth: I'm simply telling you that this is not in my job description.

Maxie: No, no. Never mind, ok? I'm sorry I wasted your valuable time. Actually, as long as I'm here talking to you, if you hear from lulu, tell her I hope she's doing ok.

Lulu: See? Here I am, just as I promised.

Johnny: That's a relief.

Lulu: You didn't think I would bolt again, did you?

Johnny: Well, you didn't tell me you were going to bolt the first time.

Lulu: I hadn't promised i wouldn'T. Besides, it was an impulse, not premeditation. I wouldn't do it again, not without telling you first.

Johnny: Going to see your mother was quite a risk, lulu.

Lulu: I know, but that should tell you how much I needed to. And it really helped. I -- I could finally hear myself talk, and I --

[Knock on door]

Male voice: Police. Open up.

[Knock on door]

Sam: All right. Looks good. Just start to unload. Thank you. Are you kidding me? You're following me now? Lucky: There's been a lot of unauthorized activity in this area. So I need to see your captain's license and supporting documentation.

Sam: Fine. Lucky, come on. You know I am working undercover. I thought we agreed to meet only at the clinic. Lucky: That's why I covered with papers.

Sam: What was so important it could not wait? Lucky: Because I'm worried about you.

Sam: So -- lucky, come on. Lucky: You named jerry jacks as a potential suspect in this whole counterfeit drug ring.

Sam: So? Lucky: "So"? So if that's true, this whole thing just jumped way --

Sam: You need to stop it. You are harassing me.

Spinelli: Ok, if you're here to manipulate stone cold with your lies and evasions --

Ric: Take -- take -- take it easy, kid. Does he have to be here?

Jason: Yeah. You're the one who doesn't belong here, ric.

Ric: Oh, well, I could leave. But then you'd never hear my brilliant strategy.

Jason: I don't really care.

Ric: Ok. I came here under the impression that you cared about lulu. My mistake.

Spinelli: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Perhaps it would be prudent to hear the lawyerly one out. I mean, he did mention a strategy.

Jason: All right, ric. What do you got?

Ric: Well, lawyerly ones like to call it putting the victim on trial. I don't think it's going to be very hard to prove that logan was the aggressor here. You know, the out of control war vet probably suffering from post-traumatic stress finally snaps, goes after johnny for the girl in the middle. Unfortunately, johnny had to kill him in self defense.

Spinelli: That's actually a pretty good idea.

Ric: Thank you.

Spinelli: Your skills as an attorney cannot be disputed, but your motives are suspect. Why would you wish to exonerate the prince of darkness when he is in fact your competition for the ear and control of evil anthony?

Ric: Who cares what my motives are if I get the job done? Look, your sidekick here is a little kooky, but he's definitely one of the most brilliant hackers around. If anybody could find johnny and lulu, it's spinelli. All I need for you to do is track them down, convince them to turn themselves in, and I'll take it from there.

Jason: I need to talk to ric alone.

Spinelli: As you wish.

Jason: So, what -- what makes you think that I give a damn about johnny and lulu?

Ric: You're friends with luke. Ok, put that aside. More pertinent reason is that you would be directly affected if johnny and lulu were to end up dead. You know if johnny dies, anthony's going to lose whatever tenuous grasp he has on sanity, jason. All bets would be off. And anthony zacchara running amok would definitely upset the delicate balance that you are so desperately trying to maintain. You can't afford the unrest. You know, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I never would have thought sonny would have betrayed you.

Claudia: I'm not a rat.

Sonny: Mm-hmm.

Claudia: After you told me about your involvement with Karpov, I decided to stay out of it, and I have.

Sonny: Then who told Jason? It wasn't max or diane. Sure as hell wasn't karpov.

Claudia: This might be hard for you to understand, but I have more pressing things in my life right now than whatever business you're up to with karpov. My brother's a fugitive, remember? Running from a murder rap with that spoiled little brat.

Sonny: Don't blame what happened on Lulu.

Claudia: You don't -- wait a -- I'm sorry. Can we just get something straight, please?

Sonny: It's johnny most of the time.

Claudia: What are you going to threaten me about? What are you not going to threaten me about?

Kate: Now, what would sonny have to threaten you about?

Carly: I haven't seen or heard from lulu since your son dragged her off at gunpoint.

Anthony: And you haven't given it another thought.

Carly: I wouldn't say that, but there's nothing I can do about it.

Anthony: Well, you could be a little more worried, like you would be if lulu were a real hostage. You and I both know she engineered that escape. Lulu is how Johnny got the gun. And in all honesty, I'm not real happy about that. My son would be a hell of a lot safer in lockup waiting for the attorneys to get him out as opposed to being a moving target for a bunch of trigger-happy cops.

Carly: There's nothing I can do about that, either.

Anthony: Well, I have a suggestion. Why don't you take a more proactive approach in bringing those two back home? It would be in your own best interest to do this, assuming you care about little cousin lulu's quality of life, and that's assuming she's still breathing when all this is over.

Carly: Where are you going with this?

Anthony: I did some investigating. I tend to do that when a person gets too close to my son. I found a skeleton hanging in lulu's closet -- her mother, the rocking head of cabbage.

Carly: You know what they say, takes one to know one.

Anthony: Well, that's exactly why I know what I'm talking about. I've had an intimate relationship with mental illness, and I know it can be hereditary. I suspect my daughter got some of mine. If lulu hit the gene jackpot and she starts to crack, she's going to be an even bigger liability. She might even get my son killed. And trust me, Mrs. Jacks, that's something no one wants. It's to our mutual benefit to convince Lulu and Johnny to turn themselves in before that poor girl breaks like -- like cheap glass.

[Knocking on door]

Male voice: Open up or I'll kick it in.

Johnny: Thought so -- there's a squad car in the alley.

Lulu: What do we do?

Johnny: Go over the roof.

Lulu: No, no -- we have to give ourselves up.

Johnny: No.

Lulu: You have done all you can to protect me. We have to turn ourselves in.

Officer: Freeze it right there!

Sam: There are laws against stalking, you know. You are not immune to them just because you're a cop. I will have charges pressed against you, the same I would anyone else. Besides, you cannot harass your way back to me. Lucky: I'm just checking your paperwork.

Sam: Fine. Check it and then get out. Lucky: Be careful.

Sam: Don't come near me again.

Jason: There's no betrayal. Sonny took a job. That's it.

Ric: Come on, Jason. All right. You call it what you will, but as far as I can see, it's flat out betrayal. And it's in your face. Look, you know it, I know it, sonny knows it, and karpov knows it. Sonny basically turned around and he made a deal with somebody who's coming after your territory. That's what's happening, right? I mean, no matter what lies Sonny's fed to you.

Jason: I know what you're doing, Ric. I know what you're doing. You want me to retaliate. You want me to make a move against sonny that isolates him, gets him mad enough to join you and the Zaccharas. It's not going to happen.

Ric: Think about what I said.

Claudia: If you have to ask why Sonny would threaten me, you don't know your fiance very well.

Sonny: Before you get revved up, I will not allow you to disrespect my fiancee in my house.

Claudia: None intended.

Sonny: Ok.

Claudia: No, no, no. I was most respectfully pointing out that you've been in the mob a lot longer than you've been out of it, which means, you know, old habits die hard and old animosities still apply. So, I.E., a threat could erupt at any time. You better get prepared, sweetheart. Wishing something away doesn't make it disappear.

Kate: Oh, I don't know. You're leaving now, aren't you?

Claudia: Good one. Are we done?

Sonny: Yep.

Claudia: It's always a pleasure to see you.

Sonny: Great.

Kate: You know that woman's not on the wedding list.

Sonny: No, I know. She's just trying to make you uneasy.

Kate: Well, she's succeeded

Sonny: What?

Kate: Sonny, I know that you love me. I know you would never sleep with claudia again, but it makes me curious that she's here the day after that jason was. Is there something going on? Are they trying to drag you back into the business?

Sonny: No. And if they were, it wouldn't matter. 'Cause what I want is the life that I'm planning with you.

Kate: God, I hope you mean that.

Tracy: Allow me to give you your marching orders, and I want you to follow them to the letter. Find luke. Do not approach him. Call me. Tell me where he is, and I will deal with my husband. Do you understand? Good. Alice: You think that's going to work? You know, the thing that's going to drive mr. Luke into hiding is knowing you're looking for him.

Tracy: Hence the element of surprise.

Monica: Going to be a little tricky, isn't it, if he already knows he's being followed.

Edward: Does it ever occur to that man that he could check in here once in every blue moon? Somebody could have died.

Tracy: Namely, his daughter. If I could just get a hold of him and tell him how much danger lulu's in --

Scott: Well, tracy, why don't you tell me instead?

Monica: My god, for the second time, how did you get in here?

Scott: I will stop showing up when I get a straight answer out of you people.

Edward: At best, you're trespassing. And at worst, you're breaking and entering. We'll just let the cops straighten this out. Alice, call 911.

Scott: Be my guest, alice. Tell them to send a couple of squad cars because unless you tell me where lulu is, I will arrest all of you for aiding and abetting.

Johnny: Do you guys mind telling us what this is about?

Officer: Salvatore del torro. Know him?

Johnny: Yes. He lives in the building. I've seen him around.

Officer: Have you seen him lately?

Johnny: Not for awhile.

Lulu: No, no. What did he do?

Officer: He's a person of interest in connection with a gang shooting.

Johnny: I wish I could be of more help.

Officer: Hey. Whoa. Who are you?

Johnny: Easy. That's penelope, our friend. We're from chicago. We're not from this area. We don't know anything about gangs.

Officer: I'm going to need to see some I. D.'S here.

Voice on radio: Report to fifth and broadway immediately. Multi-car collision. Possible fatalities.

Officer: If del torro shows up, give me a call.

Johnny: Sure.

Lulu: That was close.

Johnny: Too close.

Lourdes: You totally just saved my life.

Kate: I'd like a word.

Claudia: [Sighs] I have had just about all I can stomach of you for one day. Since sonny's not around to protect your delicate assets, i don't think so.

Kate: Claudia, I think I can handle you.

Claudia: Well, have at it, then.

Kate: Ok. So I realize that you are a predator, both sexually and the way that you troll for the mob. But trying to pull sonny back into the business after what it's cost him, I mean, that's really low -- even for you. Don't you feel the least bit guilty about what happened to michael?

Maxie: No, it's not too bad. Kate just wants to make a few changes. So do you think -- I'll email them over to you and just shoot the revised article back to me when you're finished, ok? All right. Thanks, bye. Spinelli, perfect timing. Kate's not here, so do with me what you wish.

Spinelli: Um -- seriously?

Maxie: Yeah. I can help you investigate karpov at least till kate gets back.

Spinelli: Oh, right.

Maxie: I was going to call you anyway because I remembered this article that I read in "couture" magazine. I pulled it up. It's about how gangsters are, like, the new elite in russia. And guess who's permanently featured?

Spinelli: Andrei karpov?

Maxie: Yeah. There's a picture of him in there with a french model that i recognize, so I figured we -- well, maybe you -- could jackal all of her recent purchases.

Spinelli: Purchases?

Maxie: Shoes, jewelry, handbags, all the insanely expensive stuff. Maybe it will lead us to karpov's bank accounts.

Spinelli: Oh. Yeah. Slightly convoluted, albeit fascinating information trail. But, you know, the jackal's always grateful for maximista's efforts, but he does fear that this particular case might prove too dangerous for her involvement.

Maxie: Well, if it's dangerous, that only proves that you need me more.

Carly: I just had a very interesting conversation with anthony zacchara.

Jason: Did he threaten you?

Carly: No. Why would he? Anthony's got no beef with me. I let him stay in my hotel, only so I could spy on him for you, but that didn't pan out so well.

Jason: Oh, you know what? Don't -- please don't spy on anybody. It's not going to help me.

Carly: Well, this time it did. I was nice to anthony and he reciprocated. He reached out to me.

Jason: What?

Carly: He's worried about johnny. He found out about laura, and he's afraid history is going to repeat itself. That lulu's going to crack under pressure and get johnny killed. Are we any closer to finding them?

Jason: Spinelli -- spinelli's been working on this thing since day one. We got nothing right now, carly.

Carly: Well, at least they're good at staying out of sight.

Jason: Well, johnny and lulu are relatively safe. Cops don't have any leads, either.

Carly: What aren't you telling me?

Jason: Just -- it's business.

Carly: It's Karpov, isn't it?

Jason: No, it's Johnny. It's Johnny. If Johnny gets hurt, anthony is going to lose it. Things are going to get ugly and that's going to give karpov the opening he needs to make a move against me.

Carly: With sonny's help.

Sonny: Anything I should know about?

Karpov: I'm landing two shipments.

Sonny: Right.

Karpov: The first is a cover. It can be landed in daylight. The one coming in tonight is crucial.

Sonny: Well, this is -- this is a secure location. There shouldn't be any problems.

Karpov: I'm very grateful to you for making the arrangements. My people are excellent but lacking experience when it comes to the particular challenges of Port Charles. Am I correct in assuming there will be no interference from jason morgan?

Sonny: None at all.

Monica: Look, Scott, as we explained the last time you barged in here, we have no idea where lulu and johnny are hiding.

Scott: Well, I think that she does. That's why she's so anxious to get a hold of her drunken husband.

Tracy: I miss the man I married. Are you going to arrest me for that?

Scott: Well, the man that you married, tracy, is a freeloader, and so is his daughter. Why? Why the loyalty? He is taking advantage of you. All you people.

Edward: Now, I'm no fan of luke's -- alice: But I am.

Edward: Well -- but -- but lulu is a very lovely young girl. Course, she does have a propensity for making bad choices when it comes to the opposite sex, but --

Scott: Oh, come on, edward. Open up your eyes. She is conning you. All right? She -- she might even be capitalizing on your grief for emily.

Monica: Oh, no. No, scott. Wait. You do not bring my daughter into this.

Scott: Lulu lied to logan. She played johnny and logan against each other. And then johnny killed my son.

Monica: Scott, listen to me. Nobody knows better than me what it is like to lose a child. I know what grief is about. I know that grief can turn into bitterness if there are regrets, if there are missed opportunities, what ifs. But I'm telling you that lashing out like this is not going to make it any easier. Believe me.

Anthony: Hello. How you doing?

Scott: Well, well, well. Look what just got wheeled in. So you're all in cahoots. What, are you trying to get Lulu and Johnny out of the country?
