Thursday August 21 Part 2 Claudia: There's one person that I'm going to save, and it's you. You need to forget about Lulu and start focusing on your own trial. Otherwise, you are going to spend the rest of your life in prison. What do you think, Johnny, you think -- you think Lulu will settle for conjugal visits? No. So I'm not listening to you. I'm not going to do what you say. The very worst thing that you could do here is be anywhere near that stupid girl. Johnny: That stupid girl needs me. Claudia: Johnny, Lulu is going to testify against you. She's going to tell everyone exactly what she saw that night, that her and Maxie walked in and found you standing above Logan's dead body. You hear? And you will be convicted of murder. Johnny: Then find me a lawyer who can come up with a better defense. Claudia: I really don't want to tell you this, Johnny, but Nikolas thinks if Lulu testifies, it's going to push her right over the edge. Permanently. Lulu: This may be the most important thing that I will ever ask of you. Lucky: Lulu, I can't. Lulu: Yes, you can. All you have to do is just sign forms and walk me out. Lucky: Lulu, I love you. You're my baby sister, and I can't stand to see you suffer. Lulu: Then bring me to Johnny. Lucky: Johnny is the reason you are here. Lulu: No. The reason I am here is sitting across the hall from us right now. And I could end up like that. Lucky: Mom did not get the treatment she needed, but you will. Lulu: What if I start having those moments? What if I go into a dark place like mom? I am having hallucinations, ok? I can become catatonic, and the last thing on my mind will be Johnny. And how I wish I got to see him one last time. Please, just let me hold his hand while I can still feel it. Please, just bring me to him. Lucky: I would do anything for you, but not that. I'm not going to sit here and make things worse. Lucky: I know you can't see it now, but Johnny is the reason you're so sick. Lulu: Why are you doing this to me? Please. I will never ask you of anything ever again. I'm begging you. Lucky: Lulu, I can't. Don't. I can't. I can't, I'm sorry. Elizabeth: Can I help you with that? Nadine: I'm just having another of those days, and now Dr. Hunter's decided to come down on me with both feet. I guess I'm just not one of those perfect women we know. Elizabeth: Oh, wow. Who do I know that's perfect? Nadine: Never mind. Well, Emily Quatermaine. Elizabeth: Well, she wasn't perfect. Nadine: Tell that to Nikolas. I must have been crazy to think that he could care about me on any level. I mean -- no. You know what, I'm done. It's over. It's time to move on. Maxie: So how will staking out Karpov's warehouse save Jason from an affair he swears he's not having? Spinelli: Maximista and Jackal, P.I. Will obtain damning information on the activities of the Slavic seductress. Maybe even get physical documentation of the woman working her lawyerly wiles on the Russian rogue himself. Maxie: So Sasha's doing Karpov? Spinelli: No doubt she seduced Stone Cold on orders from the Russian rogue, and Stone Cold's atypically vulnerable due to his secret pain. Maxie: There's that whole secret pain thing again. Why is Jason's pain so much worse than the rest of ours? Spinelli: He doesn't have a Maximista to offer a soft shoulder of solace, and self-denial becomes self-destruction. The fact that she's an adversary is itself the attraction. Stone Cold is getting into his dark side. Maxie: That's so deep, Spinelli. Except there's one problem. If Jason's sleeping with Sasha to self-destruct, then won't showing him proof of how bad she is only make him want her more? Spinelli: All will be explained on the stakeout. Leyla: Tenth floor nurses' station, nurse Mir speaking. Sure. One moment, please. Nadine, it's for you. Line four. Nadine: Oh, great, what now? Nurse Crowell. Nikolas: Hey, Nadine. It's me, Nikolas. When's your shift over? Nadine: Uh, pretty much now. Nikolas: Ok. Any chance that you can come out to Wyndemere? Nadine: Sure, I guess. Nikolas: Really? Great. I'll send the launch for you. Nadine: See you soon. Leyla: What did he say? Nadine: He wants me to come over. Leyla: Oh. Elizabeth: What happened to "I'm done, it's over, it's official"? Nadine: He probably just wants me to come help him with his horses or something. Leyla: Do you have anything cute to wear in your locker? Nadine: Oh, why bother? I'm only going over there so he can tell me that we're friends and he'll never have any feelings for me and then I'll be humiliated so that I can go home, and, you know, grab a pint of mint chip ice cream and have a perfectly lovely evening all to myself. See you later. Lulu: Go away. Jason: Lulu, do you want me to leave? Lulu: Stay if you want. I don't care. Jason: Maybe you should tell me what you want. Lulu: I want people to stop telling me that all I need is time to get better, to trust my doctors and how so many people love me and want to see me get well. I'm sure they believe it, but that's not what's going to make me get better. You don't have a clue what I'm talking about. Jason: I understand being trapped in a hospital with people telling you they're going to make you better when they don't even know what's wrong with you. Lulu: Well, then, I guess you do know. Jason: I just wanted to check on you and see how you're doing. Lulu: How do I look? That's pretty much how I'm doing. Jason: Is there any way I can help? Lulu: Before I answer that, tell me -- do you think it's Johnny's fault that I'm in here? Claudia: Lulu is going to have to wait. You know, once you're acquitted, you can do anything you want, john, including go chasing after that little twit. Johnny: If I'm acquitted. Ok, what if she gets worse while I'm waiting for a trial? Claudia: Well, then, Johnny, the doctors will take care of her, ok? The doctors will do it. There's absolutely nothing that you can do for her. Johnny: I am hoping that all Lulu is going through is post-traumatic stress, ok? That seeing Logan dead was too much for her. But what if I'm wrong? What if this breakdown gets worse? What if she's slipping further and further away from me? This may be the only time that she has left. Spinelli: This is it. The perfect vantage point to view the Russian rogue's warehouse. Maxie: Yeah, well, let's hope we don't have to make a quick getaway, because this thing goes from about zero to 60 in five minutes. Spinelli: Sometimes slow and steady is what's most needed. It seems a reliable vehicle. Maxie: Yeah, well, that's exactly why Mac gave it to me. Because it's practical and boring. You know, as soon as Logan's murder case is over, I can focus on my career. I'm going to prove to Kate I'm invaluable, get a quick promotion to junior editor, and buy a car that actually suits my style. Spinelli: Never underestimate the value of plain and simple. For example, you see, comrade Karpov and his minions will never notice this vehicle. And even if they do, they would never associate it with Stone Cold's black and shiny SUV, which was the last car parked in this place of observation. That would have been a perfect stakeout, too. With the Jackal and his master prepared to wait out the evildoers and bring them to justice. If only the Jackal hadn't suffered heat stroke and lost consciousness. Maxie: Spinelli, that's really haunting you, isn't it? Spinelli: It was just an inauspicious moment in the jackal's burgeoning P.I. Career. Maxie: Is that why we're here? So that you can prove to Jason you can handle a stakeout? Jerry: Privyet. Karpov: Mr. Jacks. What can I do for you? Jerry: Well, I've been waiting for a meeting with bated breath to finalize your intentions in port Charles. Karpov: Well, aren't you the eager one, hmm? Jerry: Now, more to the point, sir, once we've settled certain details, I'd like to work out a payment schedule. Karpov: It's always about the bottom line with you, Mr. Jacks. Jerry: Well, then, we understand each other. Karpov: I'm still concerned by your romance with the district attorney. Jerry: I thought we explained this. Karpov: Explain it again. I'm concerned that you may have been gathering information all along to use against me. Nadine: All right, Nikolas. We might as well get this over with. Not that I haven't heard the same speech ten times. Oh -- oh. Nikolas: Sometimes an apology is easier when it's accompanied by a good meal and a fine bottle of wine. I really hope that you'll allow me to make up for my earlier lapse in manners. Claudia: You know, when I think about what this fixation you have with Lulu is costing you, it reminds me, john, why I stay away from love. Johnny: Yeah, I know, I know. Love kills, right? Claudia: Yeah. At the very least, it hurts like hell. Johnny: Do you love me, Claudia? Claudia: You know that I do. Johnny: Then do what I need. Trust me when I say I know what's in my own best interest. Lulu is getting worse and she needs me. And I've got to find some way to get to her to try to bring her back. Claudia: That's my problem? Why? Johnny: Because you are my sister. You're all I got left. You're the only one I can count on. And you can do anything you put your mind to. Ok? So please, whether it's calling in a favor or talking to our father, find some way to get me to Lulu. Please. Lulu: Lucky thinks Johnny is literally driving me crazy. But he doesn't know the truth about me killing Logan. You do. So tell me, is it Logan's fault that I'm in here, or Johnny's? Jason: Johnny wouldn't let you confess to Logan's murder. He kept you safe and alive on the road and he is willing to take a murder rap for you. I don't think Johnny Zacchara's the reason you're in here. Lulu: Thank you. Jason: I'm going to leave. Unless you need anything. Lulu: Can you get me in to see Johnny? Jerry: Oh, you think the D.A. Is using me to bury you? Go ahead, search me. I'm not wearing a wire. Better yet, let's end our association the way you ended it with Sonny. Karpov: Mr. Jacks. You don't want Sonny to be a role model. He disappointed me terribly, and that never ends well. Max: I could have had someone handle this, Karpov. He needs to hear this from me. Mac: Hey. You got the call, too? What's going on? Anna: I don't know. I have my suspicions, though. Mac: Is it Robin? Anna: No, no, she's fine. But something's up. Mac: Patrick, what's going on? Patrick: Just give me a minute here. Where's Robin? Robin: Well, I'm happy to say that your headaches are just headaches. The brain scans show no anomalies. That's pretty good news. Patrick: Can I have your attention please? I would like to say a few words about Robin Scorpio. Patient #2: That's you. Robin: Yeah. What is he doing? Patrick: As you may know, Robin is pregnant, and, well, I'm sure most of you know I'm the father. But what you might not know is that I'm in love with Robin. And I'm in love with our baby. And I'm in love with the life that -- that we can have. Mac: I'll kill him. Anna: No, it's ok. Just -- let's hear him out. Patrick: Now, I never claimed either one of us were perfect. In fact, my faults are well-documented. All you have to do is get on Robin's blog and you'll see what a screw-up I've been. What, you might ask, do I love about Robin? Well, the truth is, you can't quantify love. But I'm going to try. Robin -- Robin's amazing. She's beautiful. And she's smart. She's so smart that it scares me sometimes. Because when you're with someone that intelligent, well, you have to step up. And she's warm and compassionate, and she's stubborn sometimes. So stubborn that it borders on compulsion. And she's going to kill me for saying this, but - Epiphany: She's going to kill him for everything. Patrick: She's incredibly tender. And she cries at the drop of a hat. It's pretty adorable. Especially now that she's pregnant, she's hormonal. But what I love the most about Robin is her unbelievable strength. She faces her fears and she stares them down. She's been scared, truth is, for some time. And you've overcome your fears, and I'm -- well, I think that I'm your last fear. So I'm here to tell you that -- not to be scared any more. Because I'm in this for the long haul. Whatever that means. And we can face our fears together. Me and you. As a family. As a husband and wife. So, Robin, hey - Robin: What? Patrick: Say you'll marry me.
