Monday, October 13, 2008: Part 1

Patrick: So what do you think? Do I tell what I wish I didn't know or keep a secret that -- that isn't even mine?

Coleman: Ok, dangerous guy with a kid he was never told about, and the guy's friends with somebody you're close to. It's got to be corinthos.

Patrick: Coleman, the point of a hypothetical is to not name names.

Coleman: Are you violating doctor-patient privilege or something by talking about it?

Patrick: No, no -- technically, no. We're not -- it's not medical information and the people we're talking about aren't patients.

Coleman: Ok, so it's sonny. And who's the mystery mom?

Olivia: If you're so concerned with how sonny is doing, why don't you ask him yourself?

Claudia: You know, sonny's bride gets gunned down at his wedding and her cousin is standing right there just to comfort him, huh? How's that working out for you?

Olivia: I don't really see why that's any of your damn business.

Carly: The nurse on duty called and said you wanted to talk to me.

Kate: Well, thank you for coming so quickly.

Kate: I owe you an apology. I was so focused on what i wanted, I failed to see what was really happening.

Carly: So what do you want?

Kate: It's hard for me, carly, to ask you for something.

Carly: That's why you apologized, right? You want a favor from me.

Kate: It's about sonny. I need you to do something for him that I can'T.

Jerry: Killing alexis seems a bit extreme, karpov. Karpov: It's necessary.

Jerry: She's the district attorney. She has every right to call you in. And given the rumors floating around, it would be suspicious if she didn'T. You don't have to tell her anything. Karpov: She's in my way.

Jerry: Yes, but not mine. And it's very bad manners to shoot the woman that you're sleeping with, in most cases. Karpov: Alexis davis has to die, and if you won't kill her, I will.

Alexis: I understand your need for revenge. I understand your frustration with the police department. But do you think that I can just sit by here and do nothing while you start a mob war?

Sonny: If I take care of the situation now, there won't be a war.

Alexis: Are you kidding me? What are you -- you -- you can't honestly believe that, do you? You're going to make this one guy, karpov, disappear, then he'll send someone after you, and then they'll send someone after someone else --

Sonny: You know where I'm coming from on this. You know that.

Alexis: No, I don't know where you're coming from.

Sonny: Yes, you do.

Alexis: You think you're going to take one man out and it's going to make everything ok? You know that's not the way it works.

Sonny: You got away with it, though.

Alexis: That's --

Sonny: With alcazar. Am I right or wrong?

Alexis: Completely different.

Sonny: Why?

Alexis: And I can assure you that the court is not going to be lenient with you. Because it was an accident, that's why. Go do something that's good for you, sonny. Go take care of your girlfriend. She needs you. Go make her feel better.

Sonny: That's impossible, and you know that, at this point.

Alexis: All I'm asking is that you just stay out of the way for once, and let the law enforcement do their job.

Sonny: You understand what I'm talking about, but you're trying to act like you don'T. In your heart, you know that I'm the only one that can make this right.

Sonny: When anthony zacchara threatened kristina, you took the law into your own hands. You didn't come to me.

Alexis: With good reason, because I didn't want the situation to escalate.

Sonny: But you didn't stay within the law either. You went to a psychopath, a known killer. What if I had asked you then to start an investigation, to bring in the police, huh? Answer me.

Alexis: I hate it when you're right.

Sonny: Ok.

Alexis: You would've made a fine, fine attorney. I suspect it's what you want me to do for you and return the favor.

Sonny: All -- listen, all I'm asking right now is to don't waste your time and money on an investigation that's going to lead to nowhere. Karpov is a professional. He's got layers and layers of protection that go way beyond port charles.

Alexis: I know, I'm aware of that.

Sonny: Then why start a task force when you're not going to catch him? It's going to make you look bad.

Alexis: Because I'm a district attorney. I can't just turn my back when you're about to kill somebody.

Sonny: Ok, who said anything about killing somebody? I'm just going to make sure that a dangerous man doesn't hurt anybody again.

Alexis: If karpov is killed, you're the prime suspect and I'm going to be expected to make a big, fat case against you which is the last thing that i feel like doing.

Sonny: Ok, you're going way ahead of yourself right now, because karpov is around, as far as I know of, right? But if karpov ends up dead -- ok, it's a dangerous business. A lot of people, you know, would want him dead. He's better off not being in port charles anyway. Can't we just leave it at that?

Alexis: Can we just talk as friends?

Sonny: Yeah, but you're not going to change -- you're not going to change my mind.

Alexis: Ok. We both understand that kate was shot because of your mob connections, right?

Sonny: That's why I can't let this go.

Alexis: That's why you have to let it go. Because she loves you and she will forgive you, if you don't step back into the mob. But I'm telling you that if you retaliate, and you go back and you go after karpov, you're done, that's it. So is revenge worth losing kate?

Sonny: All I'm asking is that you don't waste your time on the investigation.

Alexis: And all I'm asking, as the mother of your child and as someone who cares so much about what happens to you, see the truth. Revenge is useless. It won't help. And for once in your stubborn life, will you please just let law enforcement do their job?

Sonny: Tell kristina I love her. Karpov: Why is alexis davis so suspicious of me?

Jerry: I certainly didn't tell her anything, but that's your concern. You needed to be more cautious. Stop rushing the shipments, and don't try to kill the district attorney. It could jeopardize the whole operation. Karpov: It will send a message.

Jerry: No, it will attract a great deal of attention. We'll lose money, and the D.A. That replaces her will have even more reason to go after you. But this can be easily avoided. Karpov: And I suppose you're going to tell me how.

Jerry: Yes, I am. All we have to do is focus alexis' attention on someone else.

Sam: I cannot believe how great you are in the kitchen.

Lucky: It's only stir-fry.

Sam: Yeah, but look at it. It's so pretty. It looks wonderful.

Lucky: Well, thanks for helping out.

Sam: Oh, please, some help. What did I do? I chopped a few vegetables, with your supervision, of course. I can't cook. I mean, where did you learn how to cook?

Lucky: Here and there. See, aunt ruby, she used to let me hang out at the kitchen at kelly'S. So my dad and I used to have to fend for ourselves sometimes.

Sam: Well, that's impressive.

Lucky: This isn't bad for -- as far as celebrations go. I mean, it's the two of us having dinner. No camping, no spiders.

Sam: No, there is no place i would rather be.

[Phone rings]

Sam: It's karpov. It'll only be a minute. Yes.

Sam: Does it have to be now?

Patrick: You know, sonny's got enough going on without finding out he's got another son.

Coleman: Well, you sure -- you sure it's a son?

Patrick: Yeah, and you know what? I can't help but think of that bullet in michael's head.

Coleman: That was one bad scene. How old is this kid?

Patrick: I don't know. He's got to be grown up. But I don't know where he lives. I really -- I really don't know anything.

Coleman: Dude, I'd leave it there.

Patrick: Yeah, you're probably right. It's just -- you know what? Being shut out of your kid's life, it can't be a good thing. I mean, I kind of went through that when robin first got pregnant.

Coleman: That was an entirely different situation with you and robin.

Patrick: Ok, fine, but do i have a right to keep that secret?

Coleman: You're thinking too much, man.

Patrick: Maybe. You know, my dad shut my brother out for a number of years.

Coleman: You got a brother?

Patrick: Yeah, dr. Matt hunter. It's a really long story. But the -- the point is, when the truth came out, it didn't go well. My dad took off. My -- my brother hates me. I'm not even really sure why. But I can't help but think, if -- if everything just would have stayed the same, we'd be fine now.

Olivia: You don't care about my cousin or anyone else. You had no business being at her wedding, and the sooner you stop talking to me, the better.

[Claudia chuckles]

Claudia: You don't have to be so hostile.

Olivia: Let's put it this way. The zaccharas have a certain reputation. Looks to me like you're living right down to it.

Claudia: Oh, you know my name. You know my family. You better be talking to me with a lot more respect.

Olivia: Ha, respect for what? You've never done an honest day's work in your life, and neither has anyone in your family. The zaccharas are thieves and drug runners and worse.

Claudia: You got it all figured out, don't you? You better quit running your mouth or you're going to get yourself into something you have no idea how to get out.

Olivia: You know, you think you're this powerhouse woman. Everyone's supposed to be all intimidated by you, but you've never actually accomplished anything. You want to be strong and you want everyone's respect. But let me tell you something, doll. You're just trading on your daddy's name. And you don't impress me one bit.

Kate: Did you enjoy watching me try to convince myself that sonny could leave the mob?

Carly: No, kate. I was more concerned about what you did to me and jax. We're getting divorced. I'm sure you're happy about that.

Kate: No, carly, I'm not. It's all so ridiculous. I wasted so much time, distracted on all of the wrong things. It's ironic, you know. I mean, I wanted so desparately to spend my life with sonny that it almost got me killed.

Carly: I wouldn't wish what happened to you on anyone, kate. Or should I say connie?

Kate: I -- I didn't --

Carly: You didn't what? You didn't know that you had been outed as connie falconeri from bensonhurst? I mean, it's kind of hard to miss when you and olivia are screaming at each other. We could hear it all the way in the church --

Kate: You know what, carly? Whatever you think, I believe that sonny wanted to leave the mob, that he tried. And I don't know what's going to happen with us, but I do know that he will listen to you and that he wants to avenge me. And I need for you to stop him.

Carly: Wow, this is really funny when you think about it. See, my whole marriage blew up because of my connection to sonny, and now you, of all people, want me to use that connection to help you.

Kate: You know, carly, i actually thought that you might be graceful about this.

Carly: Graceful? When you did everything you could to rip my marriage apart? You're insane. Let me tell you something. I can't stand you, connie falconeri. I think you're a fake and i think you're a phony. The only reason I'm going to go talk to sonny is because he still matters to me, not you.

Maxie: Robin, hey, I got your message. Is everything ok with the baby?

Robin: Yeah, the baby's fine.

Maxie: Well, you're happy and you're smiling, so what's wrong?

Robin: Tada.

Maxie: Oh, my god! Oh, finally. I though patrick was just going to give up on you.

Robin: I know, I know. I thought so, too. But uncle mac set us straight. So now that patrick and I have agreed on our future, I am off the hook and uncle mac can officially start worrying about you.

Maxie: Yeah, right. You wish. You know he's going to start telling you how to raise that baby from day one. And it looks like day one is going to be pretty soon.

Robin: Yes, that's why patrick and I are getting married sooner rather than later.

Maxie: Ok, details, I need details. Where?

Robin: Queen of angels.

Maxie: When?

Robin: October 29.

Maxie: Ok, who's the maid of honor?

Robin: You.

Maxie: Well, your mom will be really excited. I'll help her get her dress. It'll probably be off the rack.

Robin: Maxie, I said you.

Maxie: You want me to be your maid of honor?

Robin: Of course I do.

Maxie: Oh, my gosh! Wait, but what -- what about your mom?

Robin: Oh, she already has the job of being the mother of the bride.

Maxie: So it won't hurt her feelings? That's like unselfish and considerate of me. I've been spending way too much time with spinelli.

Robin: And I think it's unfair of me to ask my mom to be in the wedding when my dad probably won't be able to make it.

Maxie: Did you tell him?

Robin: I did and he's very concerned that we get married before the baby comes. He's old school like that. It's very sweet. But he's happy that uncle mac will be able to walk me down the aisle.

Maxie: It's only fair. Mac did most of the heavy lifting when we were growing up.

Robin: Did he ever wait up for you?

Maxie: Please, I was too wild for that. Did he ever ground you for flunking -- what am I saying? You never flunked anything in your life.

Robin: I did. I dropped out of yale and I had a full scholarship. I thought that was going to kill him. He was very, very happy when i moved to paris and went to med school.

Maxie: Well, he was even happier when you decided to move home.

Robin: I'm just glad he's going to be able to walk me down the aisle. And you, you are like the closest thing I have to a sister.

Maxie: Oh. Well, I really wish georgie was going to be here because she would be a much more suitable choice.

Robin: Georgie would want you to do it. And if that's emotional blackmail, I really don't care. So will you please be my maid of honor?

Maxie: With all my heart.

Robin: Thank you.

Max: So you see, dad, we got peace in the kingdom. There's nothing to worry about. Let me take you to dinner.

Maximus: When there's nothing to worry about, that's the time to start worrying. Capisce? Tell him, milo. When you don't hear them clanging, you don't know they're out there.

Max: Dad, I -- I don't have to clang. I delegate. That's why I sent jason to take care of things. Get me a table at no-name.

Maximus: You don't have your own table.

Max: Oh, yeah, sure. I just -- I like to call ahead.

Maximus: Why? Diane: Perhaps you might prefer that new sushi restaurant that just opened downtown. I'm sure they would be honored to have your presence.

Maximus: A giambetti eating sushi when there's russians out there or guys pretending to be russians tearing up our town. Diane: Jason may not have a lot to say, but he is the best enforcer in the business.

Max: Yeah, dad, I have faith in my people. They will take care of everything.

Maximus: Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. That's half the fun. So go out there and break some heads. What are we waiting for?

Coleman: I come across all kinds of things in my kind of work. But I always make it a point to keep my mouth shut, especially when busted knee caps could be involved, you know?

Patrick: Which is where robin comes in.

Coleman: You lost me.

Patrick: Sonny and robin, they're really close friends.

Coleman: Whoa.

Patrick: Yeah.

Coleman: Her uncle, the police commissioner, had to love that. Corinthos used to own paradise lounge years ago, which made my strip joint look like a -- like a sunday school class, man. Don't ask, dude.

Patrick: Ok. Anyways, robin and sonny, they met through -- well, shared a close bond because of stone cates.

Coleman: Stone cates? As in stone cates memorial aids wing at the hospital?

Patrick: Exactly.

Coleman: He's not the son in question, is he?

Patrick: With all due respect, coleman, it's a memorial wing.

Coleman: Yeah.

Patrick: Anyways, you know robin, she's -- she's big on full disclosure. I mean, at least when it's somebody else's kid. When it was mine, she took her sweet time telling me, but don't get me wrong. She had her reasons --

Coleman: Exactly, which is why I'm sure the mystery mom has her reasons, too.

Patrick: Right. From all accounts, it sounds like the kid's safe. He's got a good life. She's done a good job. So who am I to get involved in anybody else's life, right?

Coleman: Exactly.

Claudia: You're from brooklyn, aren't you? You'd have to be. I can just see you standing on the corner.

Olivia: Now you're the one that needs to stop talking.

Claudia: Oh, come on, I know you, olivia falconeri. You have a decent enough job, but you'll never be rich. You'll never be married either. You'll never be the love of anyone's life. And when you go to the market and you buy one steak, one little carton of milk, the tiniest size of everything, you envy those mousy little housewives that you used to laugh at. But mostly you envme.

Olivia: And how would that work?

Claudia: Well, deep down, you regret the choices that you've made. You're so jealous of your cousin, I can smell it. You can't accept who you are. You can't just enjoy your freedom the way I do.

Olivia: You don't strike me as a particularly happy person.

Claudia: Well, I'm not afraid to go after what I want. I took sonny away from your cousin once. I'd do it again anytime I feel like it.

Sonny: What are you doing here?

Carly: Doing a favor for kate, which is more than ironic because I can't stand her, no matter who she is. Since when did you have a thing for phonies? She thinks that she's too good to be connie falconeri --

Sonny: You don't know nothing about this.

Carly: Really? I know you're frustrated. I know you're angry, and you're looking for revenge.

Sonny: I don't know what you're talking about.

Carly: Don't do this. Don't avenge kate. You're going to make everything worse.

Maxie: We need to start putting this wedding together right away.

Robin: Well, it's not going to be that complicated.

Maxie: Of course it's not going to be complicated because I'm going to take care of the whole thing for you. Now, what's the date you gave me? October 29?

Robin: Tentatively.

Maxie: Mm-mm, I don't do tentatively. You have to give me a firm date so I can start putting things together.

Robin: Ok, ok, october 29.

Maxie: Ok, well, you're not giving me a lot of time and you're cutting it kind of close with the little munchkin.

Robin: Oh, she'll be fine. Besides, patrick and I want to keep things really simple.

Maxie: It'll look simple, but it won't really be simple, because nothing ever really is, especially when it comes to you and patrick. And we need to think about your wedding dress immediately, yesterday. And shoes, you'll need shoes.

Robin: You know, my feet have just been so swollen lately. Maybe I should just go barefoot.

Maxie: Please don't say things like that to me again, ok? I still have a bad heart. We'll get you two sizes of shoes, just in case your feet swell a little more because of the bridal nerves. And flowers, you'll want something with color, but not over the top.

Robin: You're really good at this.

Maxie: Well, planning your wedding will be like my gift to you.

Robin: Really? Thank you.

Maxie: Maybe I can talk federico into designing your wedding dress. I mean, pregnant brides are really in this year. I'm assuming patrick has a decent tux.

Robin: Well, I don't know. I mean, I don't know if this is like a tuxedo wedding.

Maxie: Just no barefoot in a field of flowers, ok? That's a little too retro and the weather is kind of unpredictable this time of year. So has patrick picked a best man yet?

Patrick: I don't -- I -- I don't want my marriage to start off keeping a secret from my wife.

Coleman: Dude, it's not your secret to tell.

Patrick: Robin's not going to see it that way, coleman.

Coleman: You know, which is why you're not going to tell her.

Patrick: Ok, you know, it's -- it's a little more complicated than that.

Coleman: Everything is complicated for you and robin. You make it that way, both of you.

Patrick: That's true.

Coleman: I mean, it would -- look, it would be if it was your kid. You don't have any secret rugrats out there, right?

Patrick: No, not that I know of.

Coleman: Ok.

Patrick: But you know what? If I did, I'd want to know. I'd want to be part of my kid's life. And if I was that kid, I'd want to know who my dad is.

Coleman: Right, and that's the difference between you and corinthos. You find out you have a kid late in the game and your kid -- the kid might be a little pissed off and neurotic, maybe. Corinthos finds out he has another son out there and the kid could end up dead. You want that?

Olivia: If you're so intersted in sonny, why don't you give him a call? I got his number right here.

Claudia: Well, that's ok. I have his number. You think your cousin would be cool with you setting up her fiance while she's in the hospital.

Olivia: Honey, she's going to be done with sonny the minute her pain meds wear off. So you do whatever you want to do. You know, sonny's had a madonna-whore complex ever since high school. It's pretty clear which category you fall into. So even if you could manage to get him into bed, he'd just wind up feeling dirty, disgusted. You know, he'd hate himself for sleeping with someone as obvious and pathetic and, let's face it, desperate as you.

Sam: Hey, I heard you were questioned by the D.A. Karpov: That means this shipment is a bigger risk if I give you the assignment.

Sam: Yeah, I mean, that's up -- that's up to you. I just hope I've proven myself. Karpov: Which routes would you use?

Sam: I'm glad you ask. I would take the long way around and just go in through canada. Karpov: That's an intersting choice.

[Camera snaps]

Sonny: You have no business here, strolling into my house, running your mouth.

Carly: Kate asked me to, sonny. That's how worried she is, not to mention gullible, because she actually believed that you were out of the business --

Sonny: I was out. It didn't quite work out like i wanted it to. You said it wouldn'T. You won. Take your victory and leave.

Carly: Sonny, stop and think. If you go after andrei karpov, you're going to make a bad situation worse. Let jason handle it.

Sonny: My friend jason turned me down, carly.

Carly: That's because he doesn't think karpov did this.

Sonny: Well, he can think all he wants, see. But we're all in trouble here. If jason doesn't want to get involved, that's his choice. But I'm taking care of this myself.

Carly: And what if you die taking care of it, sonny, huh? What am I supposed to tell morgan?
