Monday July 7 Part- 1

Kate: We should just focus on having a good time at the museum benefit tonight. Half of new york will be there as well as a horde of paparazzi.

Jax: Mm-hmm. Good opportunity to promote "Crimson."

Kate: Look, I know. I would understand if you don't feel up to putting a smile on for the press.

Jax: A little late to back out now, Kate. Unless you have a parachute.

Kate: Oh, Jax, I'm so sorry that Carly is being difficult. I had no idea that she was so threatened by me. And it's unthinkable that she would take all that animosity out on you.

Carly: It is past time I knock Kate Howard off her pedestal. I want the worst kind of dirt you can dig up. The more scandalous the better.

Spinelli: With all due respect to the vengeful Valkyrie, the Jackal is not sure that he should be assisting in this particular act of cyber subterfuge Mr. Sir will no doubt seek retribution when he learns that the Fashionista's most private secrets have been unearthed, and given that the Jackal's head has already been slammed into the wall rather forcefully, he is understandably reticent to invoke Mr. Sir's wrath, yet again.

Carly: I don't give a damn about Sonny. Kate Howard put her lips on my husband, and I am going to make her pay.

Claudia: Have you ever once tried to see things from my point of view? To imagine what it must have been like for me? Watching you lose your mind while Trevor took control of everything, our family, our business. He had all ready gotten our mother out of the house. I knew it was only a matter of time before he did the same thing to me.

Anthony: Turn off the tears, Claudia. They don't work on me. There's no defending what you did.

Claudia: I was young, and I was desperate.

Anthony: Well, at least you're not bothering to claim you were innocent. We both know better. You've always been a manipulative little tramp, but you took it too far. There are certain acts that can't be excused or redeemed.

[Maxie screams]

Logan: Bitch!

Maxie: Help!

[Cell phone rings]

Lulu: Hello?

Logan: I know what you saw, and I can explain. Stay there. I'm on my way,

Claudia: Would it have killed you to take my side, to actually hear me out, instead of dismissing me? I mean, I'm your blood. I'm your daughter.

Anthony: You're a disgrace. What decent, respectable girl seduces a grown man?

Claudia: What grown man takes a little girl up on an offer like that? Mommy was trying to warn you about him for years, and you would not listen to her.

Anthony: Domenica was an ambitious woman. She started getting ideas, wanting to do things her own way.

Claudia: Mommy could see that Trevor was a threat, and she was trying to protect us. And what did you do? You sent her away. You threw her away. Got rid of her. And then you held on to me just to spite her. It was never about love. You never gave a damn about me. Never. And then I was just the girl that reminded you of somebody that you used to love, who dared to speak up, who dared to voice her opinions loud enough to be heard over Trevor's lies.

Anthony: Domenica forgot her place. She overstepped, just like you did with John. It was unhealthy the way you latched on to him the minute he was born.

Claudia: Unhealthy? Daddy, you are the one who was so jealous of your own son that you tried to shoot him. You tried to kill him. And you killed his mother instead. And for all I know -- all I know, Trevor's the one who set that up, too. So that he could get control. I just knew that if I didn't do something, Johnny was going to end up with nothing. There would be nothing left for him.

Anthony: Oh, please. Spare me your sisterly devotion. You're as power hungry as your mother. You saw Trevor as a way in and you threw yourself at him, like the slut you are.

Claudia: I didn't offer anything to Trevor that he wasn't already trying to get on his own. I saw the way that he looked at me. And I figured -- I thought -- I was naive enough to believe that if I got him in bed, and you walked in at just the right time, that you would see him for the scum that he was, and you would get rid of him, but you got rid of me instead.

Kate: You know I consider you more than just a business partner, right? You're my friend. I mean, you know my secrets. You've never once tried to use them against me, nor would you ever. Which is not who you are. And that brings me to my question. How did a man like you end up married to a woman like Carly?

Jax: Why wouldn't I be with her?

Kate: Uh, ahem, well, let's see. You're sophisticated. You're well-traveled. You're well-read. And above all a gentleman. On the other hand, Carly is difficult on a good day.

Jax: Well, she hasn't had many opportunities to have good days. You know, with the miscarriage, and now Michael being in a coma, she's overwhelmed, Kate.

Kate: Yes, I know, Jax. But are you telling me that she never threw a tantrum or had a fit before?

Jax: Oh, Kate. It's no secret there's no love lost between the two of you, so -

Kate: Oh, really?

Jax: Yeah.

Kate: Whatever gave you that impression?

Jax: Well, I just -- I see a different side of her, ok?

Kate: Ok.

Jax: Ok.

Kate: I'm just going to say that she is very, very fortunate to have such a patient and tolerant husband. Not to mention, supportive and forgiving.

Jax: Before you put me up for sainthood, I have to remind you that Carly's jealousy isn't entirely unfounded. We did share that one kiss.

Kate: No, you're right. You're right. It's true. But that is all in the past, right?

Jax: Right.

Kate: I am committed to spending my life with Sonny, and let's just hope, for everyone's sake, that Carly calms down and just lets everyone be happy.

Jason: How is digging up Kate's past going to help anything?

Carly: Because when I find out what she's been hiding, I'm going to use it to run her out of town. My only decision now, do I do it quiet and nice or do I publicly humiliate her in the press?

Jason: You know that trashing Kate is only going to provoke Sonny.

Carly: I don't care. Let Sonny be as mad as he wants.

Jason: Carly.

Carly: Kate is a shameless, social climber and she doesn't give a damn about Sonny. If she did, she wouldn't be trying to work my husband.

Jason: All I'm saying is if you attack Kate, you know Sonny, and Jax probably, is going to step up to defend her.

Carly: Well, you know what? They're going to have to do it long distance. Jax and Sonny will be better off with Kate out of town.

Kate's voice: Since you are king of the kitchen, I thought it only fitting that you be the one to plan our menu for the reception. I can't wait to see what you've chosen for our special day.

[Knock on door]

Sonny: It's open.

Sonny: Hey.

Robin: Am I in the right place? No guards. No locks. And you -- smiling.

Sonny: Well, you got to get used to it. This is my life now.

Robin: You look very relaxed. I think it suits you.

Sonny: And you look very glowing at the moment. Is that the pregnancy or what's going on? You all right?

Robin: Yeah, we had one minor scare, but we're doing much better now. It's Patrick that I'm worried about. He went from being father phobic to suing me for visitation rights with the unborn baby.

Sonny: Have a seat. Well, you know, I can kind of see his instincts. I mean, you know, it's better to set some ground rules now and, you know, instead of getting cut out of your child's life later.

Robin: Ok, but that's just it. Because up until a couple of months ago, he wanted nothing to do with having a baby, much less being me raise it.

Sonny: Some change, I mean, why would he want to take you to court?

Robin: Well, the scare that I mentioned, I actually collapsed.

Sonny: What do you mean?

Robin: I'm fine now, but he was really worried, and so when he asked me to move in with him, I said, no, of course, and now he's doing everything he possibly can to try and change my mind.

Sonny: Ok, Robin, you want me to back him off? 'Cause I'll back him off.

Robin: No, no.

Sonny: All you got to do is -

Robin: It's fine. That's very sweet, but not necessary. Believe me, I have my uncle Mac and my mom interfering so much that I'm practically tripping over them.

Sonny: Well, if you change your mind, you know where to come, yeah? Right here.

Robin: Thank you.

Sonny: All right.

Robin: That's not why I came, not to ask you for help with Patrick.

Sonny: Why?

Robin: Maxie mentioned that you are getting married to Kate Howard.

Sonny: Yes. The ceremony is in the fall.

Robin: That soon?

Sonny: Yeah.

Robin: Well, that's great. I hope that the two of you will be very happy.

Sonny: Why do you sound like you don't mean it?

Lulu: Lucky, pick up the phone. Damn it!

Lulu: Get up, Maxie. Just answer the phone. Let me know you're ok.

Logan: Lulu, just let me explain. Lulu, just-- Lulu? Come on, open the door. Open the door, Lulu. Just let me explain, ok? Come on, open the door. Lulu? Open the door. Open it up. Just let me talk to you.

[Busy tone]

Logan: Lulu, Maxie's fine, ok? It's not as bad as it looked.

Lulu: Then why is she still lying on the floor?

Logan: You know how Maxie is. She gets off on causing trouble, ok? This is just another one of her games. She's knows I was coming up here to explain what happened, and she's just trying to play this thing up to make it look a whole lot worse then it really was.

Lulu: Well, you seemed pretty angry. What were you fighting about?

Logan: Look, Maxie's upset because I still care about you, ok? She was practically throwing herself at me. I told her no, but she wouldn't back off. What you saw was me getting Maxie to back off.

Lulu: By beating the crap out of her?

Logan: Ok, Lulu, I know how it must have looked, but I swear it was just a big misunderstanding. Ok, that happens a lot with us. Do you remember that time a few months back when you hit me in the head with that wrench because you thought I was a killer? You put me in a coma. I could have died. But I forgave you because I knew you never meant to hurt me, just like I would never, ever hurt you.

Lulu: Yeah, what about Maxie?

Logan: Look, Maxie knows you can see her, all right? She's just playing this up and milking it for all it's worth. You're not going to open the door, are you? Ok.

[Banging]

Claudia: Trevor was an opportunist. I was just a kid.

Anthony: You were old enough to know better. But I shouldn't have been surprised. You take after your mother. Not just in the way you look, but how your mind works. Scheming every minute. You're always up to something. I could see it even back then.

Claudia: Oh, I don't how that's possible since you never even noticed me.

Anthony: I saw enough to know you couldn't be trusted. Like that whole painfully shy thing you were going through. That was just an excuse to stay close to John. You had this unnatural attachment to him ever since he was a baby. Maria, God bless her soul, thought it was sweet. She told me to lay off. And to my everlasting regret, I did. I let John become dependent on you.

Claudia: I was protecting him because I knew Johnny would feel just as lost and out of control in that house as I did.

Anthony: You got your control, though, didn't you? As soon as you hit puberty, you started working Trevor every chance you got.

Claudia: You need to understand this. He was the one who came after me. Always finding ways to touch me and tell me how beautiful I was becoming and how quickly I was growing up.

Anthony: Claudia, if you put your stuff on display in front of a man long enough, he's going to want a taste. Trevor walked right into your trap. The second I saw you together, I knew that my attorney was a sucker and my daughter was a tramp. And you stayed one. And if you got any doubts about that, look in the mirror. You came back to this town nothing more than a promise fulfilled.

Sonny: The reason I ask is, you know, is because getting married to Kate isn't necessarily getting a round of applause.

Robin: I take it Carly's not too thrilled about it.

Sonny: Carly. And Jason. And that hurts. Because they think that I'm hiding from what happened to Michael, which is totally ridiculous because my son' lying in a coma. He's on my mind from the minute I wake up in the morning to the minute I go to sleep at night.

Robin: You do not have to sell me on how much you love Michael or how your heart is breaking over what happened. That's the reason you retired from the mob, right?

Sonny: Oh, I guess the word's out.

[Robin laughs]

Robin: Well, here's the thing. My uncle Mac, he makes me come over to his house every Sunday for dinner. Me times Maxie is there. And, you know, to keep him from interrogating us about our love lives, I.E., My constant drama with Patrick, we get him to talk about work.

Sonny: Right.

Robin: And when he mentioned that you had apparently retired, and Jason was taking over things and that you were going legitimate, I have to say I was so happy for you. I actually came over here to say congratulations, but then I thought maybe that's not the right thing to say. I don't know how the mob works. I really don't want to know, but anyway, I'm happy that you're free of it.

Sonny: You, Kate, mike, and Ric, of all people, are supportive. Everybody else thinks I'm making a mistake and it's not going to last long.

Robin: Well, Sonny, I hope that they're wrong.

Sonny: Well -

Robin: Because, you, I mean, after all this time, you finally have a chance at a real future. And I know that somewhere, stone is cheering you on.

Sonny: You think so? Well, I'd like to think so.

Robin: I know it's not going to be easy. I know that you still have enemies.

Sonny: Jason's dealing with that right now.

Robin: And hopefully someday he will make the same decision that you did.

Sonny: I don't know if I'd count on that, 'cause he's settling in pretty comfortable in his new job.

Robin: Well, maybe getting deeper into the mob is his way of dealing with what happened to Michael. And maybe marrying Kate is your

Sonny: One doesn't have anything to do with the other.

Robin: Listen, I know you, ok? And I know that you will carry the guilt of what happened to Michael with you until the day that you die. But in the meantime, you have to find a way to just, you know, live with it. And maybe right now, Kate is the answer.

Sonny: Robin, that is not why I'm marrying Kate.

Robin: Are you sure?

Carly: Why aren't you typing? Let's start with her bank accounts. Let's see how many other deserving jerks, like Trevor, gave Kate a leg up. I mean, when Sonny finds out that Kate bought her career on her back, he's going to toss her out like garbage.

Spinelli: The Jackal is more than happy to do a pass on the Fashionista's accounts.

Carly: Forget a pass, I want you to go as far back as kindergarten. I want to find out what she's hiding.

Jason: Ok, you know, Spinelli, why don't you take off, ok? Because I really need to talk to Carly.

Spinelli: The master's wish is my command.

Jason: Mm-hmm.

Carly: You're not going to talk me out of this.

Jason: Hey, if you want to go after Kate, go after Kate. Don't use Spinelli to do it.

Carly: Fine, I'll find another P.I.

Jason: Carly, why is this so important to you?

Carly: Because Kate kissed Jax.

Jason: You had sex with Sonny. Which is worse?

Carly: No one regrets what happened in that limo more than I do. I should have never had sex with Sonny.

Jason: But you did.

Carly: It wasn't something I planned, Jason. No matter what Sonny thinks, I didn't seduce him anymore than I was trying to punish him. Come on. Sonny and I were devastated after leaving Michael in that institute. And, you know, we turned to each other, and it was something that happened, and it was wrong. And if I could take it back, I would. But I can't. I only pray that Jax doesn't find out about it.

Jason: Well, then maybe you should focus on keeping your own secrets, instead of digging up somebody else's.

Carly: Kate Howard kissed Jax to spite me. She is trying to ruin my life and ruin my marriage. I am going to ruin hers first. You are my best friend. You're supposed to be on my side.

Robin: You're still in mourning. You know, being tied up in that kind of emotional knot doesn't allow for the best decision-making.

Sonny: You're not telling me that you agree with Carly and Jason, that it would be an insult to Michael to get married?

[Telephone rings]

Sonny: Hello.

Kate: Did you get my package?

Sonny: Yeah, I got it. It's right in front of me. Are you still at the benefit?

Kate: No, not yet. We're just about to land. Jax is in with the pilot. So I thought I'd check in and see what the menu has been narrowed down to.

Sonny: Well, I haven't had time to, you know, check it out.

Kate: Oh, well in case you have plans of boring yourself to sleep with the endless possibilities, you should know that when the benefit is finished, Jax and I are heading right back. So should I go home, or slip in quietly next to you?

Sonny: Well, what do you think?

Kate: Well, never hurts to ask.

Sonny: I'll be waiting.

Robin: Kate?

Sonny: You know how I know its love? When I hear her voice, it makes me happy.

Anthony: I knew the minute I walked in, it was a setup. That you were the one who came on to Trevor, hoping I would fly off the handle and kill him.

Claudia: Why did I ever think that you would protect me? It's crazy -- I know you being my father and all.

Anthony: If I ever thought that Trevor had forced himself on you in any way, I would have choked the bastard with my bare hands. But I knew it was no coincidence that I found you in the study at the same time Maria was out in the garden. You knew I liked to watch her from the window in there. You put on that whole big show with Trevor just for my benefit.

Claudia: No one ever said I was stupid, daddy, just too sentimental for own good. I was counting on the fact that I'm your child. I know it's crazy. I thought that you might actually be concerned for me, somewhere.

Anthony: You know why I sent you away? Johnny was impressionable. I was concerned that you'd start manipulating him like you tried to do with me. So I got you out of the house before you could turn on me and your brother.

Claudia: I would never hurt Johnny.

[Anthony laughs]

Anthony: You got him implicated in the whole Corinthos kid's shooting. Claudia, did you ever once stop to think that it could get your brother killed?

Claudia: Did you ever once stop to think it's not just John? It's me, too, daddy. If Jason Morgan finds out that I hired Ian, there's going to be a great big target painted on my back. Not that you care. Why would you care? You're the one who sent that hit man to get me. Aren't you? What's the matter, daddy? Can't do it yourself? You want me out of Johnny's life? Is that what you want?

[Claudia hands Anthony a knife]

Claudia: Here, go ahead, do it. What are you waiting for?

Johnny: What the hell's going on?

Logan: Lulu, you don't have to be afraid. I just want to explain.
