Monday June 16 - Part 1

Patrick: You have to stay off your feet unless absolutely necessary, so what else can I get? You want some tea, maybe? Ginger ale? Crackers? Water?

Robin: I am ok. I really shouldn't drink anything. Otherwise a trip to the bathroom every five minutes will become absolutely necessary.

Patrick: You have to stay hydrated, robin.

Robin: Exactly. Yet another conundrum of pregnancy. Come along on robin's journey and follow her as she staggers through every contrary situation in a weird time and space where everything is a compromise or a paradox, and you take every precaution and you follow every rule and what do you know? You still wind up on your butt because who would have guessed it? She has an incompetent cervix.

Carly: You called, I'm here, and this is taking a lot more energy than I have to spare, so whatever this is --

Alexis: This is about my daughter.

Carly: Alexis, I already went to sonny. I asked him to give up his legal rights of kristina, and he flat out said no.

Alexis: Since when do you walk away without getting what you want, carly?

Carly: Since my son was put in a permanent coma.

Alexis: What happened to you is unthinkable, and I'm sorry. I really am. I don't mean to --

Carly: Insult me?

Alexis: I'm just asking you to understand just how terrified that I am. Sonny gave up his rights to the boys. He won't do it for kristina, and I wa to know why. Is it because he's stubborn or because he can't?

Carly: It's because he loves kristina and she's all he has left.

Alexis: I am asking you to try one more time to convince him, because out of the organization or in it, sonny presents a lethal danger to my daughter.

Man: Sorry, man.

Sonny: What are you doing?

Man: I didn't see you.

Sonny: Ok, well, next time, you're going to bump into somebody who's going to react first and think second. You get what I'm saying? Get out of here. Get out, get out, get out.

Giselle: Why are you calling him spinelli? I thought you said your name was damian.

Spinelli: [Aussie accent] It is. I am damian and spinelli. See, the jackal -- damian -- i am a -- I'm a man of many personas and accomplishments. Croupier: Sir, don't touch the table. I'll get the chips.

Giselle: I still don't understand.

Maxie: Join the club. What the heck is going on?

Giselle: If this is some kind of joke, I assure you, I'm not amused.

Sonny: Is freaky boy bothering you? You bothering her, freaky boy?

Jerry: You see, claudia and i were having differences of opinion and found ourselves at an impasse. So an objective voice was in order -- a mediator, if you will. Shall we ask jason what he thinks of our little dilemma?

Patrick: Mint, orange spice, chamomile, or do you just want to just close your eyes and pick one?

Robin: Wow, do my eyes deceive me? They actually make kelp tea?

Patrick: I found that when you had a craving for, what was it? Sardines and tonic water?

Robin: Yeah.

Patrick: What else can I get you? Tv remote, maybe some medical journals? How about -- perfect, "100,000 baby names." How's that?

Robin: No, I just need you to stop for a minute.

Patrick: I can't stop, robin. Moving around helps work off my anxieties, so --

Robin: Patrick... sit.

Patrick: Ok. I'm having a really hard time shaking the image of you collapsed on the floor. It really scared me.

Robin: Me, too. I mean, I was just thinking, don't move. You don't want to make anything worse.

Patrick: Yeah, but you were so calm.

Robin: Because I know that you would take care of us. I spent all this time trying to push you away. Thank god you didn't go anywhere.

Nikolas: I'm sorry, the city won't allow this clinic to open? What's your justification for holding up a project that this community desperately needs, a project that could actually help some people?

Mayor Floyd: Well, I --

Nikolas: Unless, of course, you are for some reason morally opposed to providing health care to people who can't afford it. And if you are, mayor, i apologize. Maybe I missed something because I didn't -- I didn't notice that on your platform when you were asking those very same citizens to vote you into office.

Mayor Floyd: Mr. Cassadine, i am very well aware that you and your various business concerns are major contributors to our local economy.

Nikolas: Right.

Mayor Floyd: And believe me, if it were up to me, this project --

Nikolas: Save your -- save your breath, ok? Here it is. I'm endowing this clinic as a last tribute to emily quartermaine, and nothing or no one can stop me from doing that.

Claudia: I doubt jason cares that you want to rent space in a cannery. And, like I said, I can't make that happen. Trevor owns that property. Only my father can influence him.

Jason: Sounds to me like you should take your problem to anthony. You know what? I would -- I would dial down the hostility a little bit because people might think that "newly reformed jerry jacks" is an act.

Jerry: I'll -- I'll take it under advisement, mr. Morgan. We'll be in touch, darling.

Claudia: Not if I see you first.

Jason: Don't underestimate him.

Claudia: Thank you. Thank you for the tip and for the rescue. It's becoming a habit.

Alexis: My guess is that the first time you went to sonny to ask him about michael and morgan, he refused, and that you went back again and again until you wore him down and he did the right thing. And I'm asking that you do the same thing for my daughter.

Carly: Ok, your mouth is working just fine. You should go to sonny on your own behalf.

Alexis: You know very well if I say something, he won't listen. But if you say something, he will, because you're the only person that has influence over him.

Carly: What do you want from me? I already told you. I went to him. I asked him to give up custody of kristina and he flat out said no.

Alexis: Ask him again.

Carly: You're not --

Alexis: And if you don't do it for me, at least just do it for morgan. He lost a brother. I don't want him to lose a sister.

Carly: No, see, you're not hearing me, alexis.

Alexis: I am hearing you, carly. You've washed your hands of my daughter. I don't know if it's out of apathy or simply out of exhaustion. But if you don't help her and something happens, then you will be responsible --

Carly: No, don't you put that on me. I am navigating my own hell here because I made the decision to go to sonny and be with him, and now my son's paying the price. You made the same choice. You navigate your own hell.

Diane: Alexis, please, 10 calls in the space of -- oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know that you were otherwise occupied --

Carly: No, you stay. I'm going. I cannot help you, and please don't ask me again.

Diane: I'm guessing that that was about sonny giving up custody of kristina.

Alexis: No, it was about carly. It is always, isn't it?

Alexis: Diane, I hope you had better luck than I did, because I want to be able to tuck my daughter into bed tonight knowing that sonny's out of her life for good.

Spinelli: Mr. Corinthos, sir, you misread the situation. You see, the manhattan fashionista and the jackal were just --

Sonny: Get out of my face. Don't talk to me like that... just get out of here. Get out of here.

Maxie: Enjoy yourself.

Giselle: I'm not quite sure what just happened, but I'm awfully glad it did.

Spinelli: Vodka, rocks, with a rugged twist of lime.

Maxie: What happened to your orange soda?

Spinelli: The jackal --

[Aussie accent] Damian prefers something with a kick.

Maxie: Who's damian? What has he done with spinelli? Why are you ordering hard liquor and dressing like this?

Spinelli: Maximista asks the difficult questions.

Maxie: How about some answers? If you're trying to pull some jackal P.I. Undercover stunt on giselle, then you need to stop right now. She's critical to "crimson's" future and you're not going to mess that up.

Johnny: So are you going to tell me what's on your mind or am I going to have to drag it out of you?

[Lulu sighs]

Lulu: The conversation I had with carly was about choices, the choices that she made to ignore the warnings about sonny and be with him and how they've come back to bite her through her kids. And I heard what she had to say. Wrong choices don't just hurt you. They spread out and you hurt the people that you love.

Giselle: Ok, there you are. I thought you disappeared.

Kate: Nonsense, the night is still young. I hope we didn't keep you hanging.

Giselle: Oh, not at all. I've been having the most informative conversation about coffee, of all things.

Kate: Yeah, sonny has the most interesting stories when he's inspired to tell them.

Giselle: Oh, my god, this is him. The gangster boyfriend.

Mayor Floyd: I am not unsympathetic to your plight. I understand that you wish to honor ms. Quartermaine by providing a much needed public service in her name. But there is more at stake than your simple desiring to do a good deed.

Nikolas: I -- I'm clear on what's at stake here -- millions of dollars of drug company revenue. But I don't care about that. All I care about is providing medical care to people who couldn't otherwise afford it.

Mayor Floyd: Yeah, I understand, but it's not quite that simple. This clinic will also attract people who can afford to pay. They'll take advantage of you and the system that's already set in place.

Nikolas: Mayor, do you personally receive kickbacks from the medical community?

Mayor Floyd: Mr. Cassadine, I resent that.

Nikolas: Well, I resent this entire conversation.

Mayor Floyd: It doesn't change the fact that your clinic cannot open without the proper permits and licenses.

Nikolas: And you'll make sure that I don't get them.

Mayor Floyd: Mr. Cassadine, think about the park. Fresh air and sunshine, they're medicinal and they're free. Thanks for your time. You have a good day.

Nadine: What a self-important jerk. I'm sorry. I know how much this clinic meant to you.

Nikolas: Means to me. But nothing he just said will change that. If anything, he just made me more determined. I'll open this clinic if it's the last thing I do.

Kate: I don't think I have to tell you, giselle. You can't believe everything you hear.

Giselle: So you're not a gangster?

Sonny: Just a -- a simple coffee importer.

Giselle: Who, from what I hear from impeccable sources, found it necessary to make a point by slamming someone's head against an art gallery wall on new year's eve.

Jax: Well, even impeccable sources have been known to take half-truths and run with them, like the rumor that made the rounds about you not too long ago.

Kate: Oh, jax, do ll.

Jax: You know the one, about giselle and the married senator, naked in the pantry.

Kate: At the congressional dinner.

Jax: Exactly.

Giselle: Sheer rubbish, of course.

Kate: Of course. Jax, you were naughty to bring it up.

Sonny: Yes, see, jax is just illustrating a point. You can't believe everything you hear. Excuse me.

Ric: You have a moment?

Lulu: Sounds like my cue to go powder my nose?

Ric: No, no, no, actually, I'd like for you to stay.

Johnny: What exactly do you have to say that concerns lulu?

Ric: Well, tracy's making a lot of noise about the zaccharas running the casino in luke's absence and I was hoping that you could use your influence. You know, get her to calm down.

Lulu: Considering the zaccharas were the ones who framed my father, why would I lift a finger to help them?

Ric: Johnny comes to mind. If you haven't noticed, he is one of them.

Johnny: Lulu knows I had nothing to do with luke's arrest. And since I don't want her involved in our business in any way, I suggest you handle things with tracy yourself. After all, that's why you're on the payroll, right? Shall we?

Carly: Jason, it's me. I really -- hi. I really need to talk to you.

Jason: What's going on?

Carly: Alexis. Alexis summoned me over to her office and I should've told her to go to hell, but instead, i went over there.

Jason: What did she want?

Carly: Well, she wants sonny to give up custody of kristina. D I already talked to sonny and he shut me down and he said no. Now she wants me to go back and talk to him again and this time I said no.

Jason: Ok, so what? You feeling guilty?

Carly: No, I feel like a hypocrite. I feel like the worst kind of hypocrite.

Jason: Well, I didn't get that from what you just told me.

Carly: That's because I didn't tell you all of it. I didn't tell you the part where I took morgan's father's day gift over to sonny. And you should've seen his face. It was like he was kicked in the gu and I realized that this was the first of many times we're going to have like that and I couldn't bear it. And I thought, what the hell am I doing? Why am I putting us through this pain? Why don't I just go home, grab that custody agreement, rip it apart, and take morgan over to see his father? Why don't I do that?

Kate: Everything ok?

Sonny: Everything's fine. Why -- why would you ask me that?

Kate: Sonny, you don't have to tell me what's wrong, but please don't insult me by pretending nothing is.

Maxie: Seriously, spinelli, what are you doing?

Spinelli: The newly minted gentleman is girding his loins for battle. He must soothe the ravage -- savage rival fashionista. And -- can you hold this for me?

Maxie: Look at you. You're a mess. You're in no condition to go talk to giselle. If you did, you're probably ruin everything, and then I would never speak to you again.

Spinelli: Maximista doesn't mean that.

Maxie: Of course I do. Why do you have to be like this right now? I really needed someone to tk to.

Spinelli: Did something happen?

Maxie: Just forget it. Take your multiple annoying personalities and just go home.

Spinelli: No, wait. But I --

Maxie: Forget it, spinelli. I don't want to see you right now. Go.

Kate: Did giselle say something to upset you?

Sonny: She could -- look. She couldn't if she tried. I don't give aamn about that bitch. The reason I excused myself is because I didn't want to bang her head against the table there, you know, because I don't think that's a good thing.

Kate: No, that wouldn't be a good thing.

Sonny: Right.

Kate: Sonny, I can see the tension through your suit. Just tell me what's wrong.

Sonny: You want me to tell you?

Kate: Yeah.

Sonny: Ok. There are things you're going to have to get used to, right? I mean, I love how you helped me, but there are going to be times... when you can't help me.

Sonny: And this is one of them.

Jason: You're morgan's mother. You have to do whatever you think is right, carly.

Carly: I'm already doing what i think is right. It's done. If morgan's around sonny, his life is at risk. I know that. I'm just having a really hard time finding a balance with this, and I don't know how to make it happen.

Carly: Do you ever find yourself thinking about michael out of nowhere?

Jason: Yeah, I...

Jason: I'll see something i know he'd like. Or A...

Jason: A boy at the playground or something like that, you know?

Carly: Yeah. See, that happens to me about 50 times a day. And you know what the cruelest part of all this is how life just marches on. See, the sun comes up, and i have to get morgan ready for school, and meals have to be prepared, or picked up, or delivered. And then there's homework, and then there's the hotel work, and people needing constant attention. And then the sun goes down and it's bedtime, and it's stories, and it's "five more minutes, mom." And then I try to get some sleep, and maybe I'll get about three, and then the sun comes up. And the relentless process starts all over again, and you just want it to stop. Because how does life continue when my little boy is stuck in his own body?

Diane: I have consulted with every family court judge i could find and they all said the same thing. Sonny giving up custody of his sons does not constitute grounds for you forcing him into the same action with kristina. I'm sorry, honey. You don't have a legal leg to stand on.

Alexis: Thanks for looking into it.

Diane: I'll pursue it, if you want me to. I will bring in someone who specializes in custody issues. But if you want my educated opinion, you'd just be wasting your money.

Alexis: As if her well-being could be measured in dollars and cents.

Diane: That's not what I meant, and you know it.

Alexis: I know it. I'm sorry.

Diane: Look at you. You're obviously overwrought. Ok, here's a thought. Why don't you come back to the haunted star with me? Just spend the rest of the evening relaxing, getting to know max a little bit better --

Alexis: Diane --

Diane: Having a couple of drinks --

Alexis: Are you being obtuse on purpose? Think I want to gamble right now? I'm way too busy having a nervous breakdown about my daughter.

Diane: Fine. You know where to find me.

Alexis: Di -- di, I'm sorry. Diane?

Anthony: D.A. Davis. How are you tonight? Listen, I just came across some really interesting information about your little girl. Kristina, is it?
