Claudia: You know, this is not the 15th century. We are not the Borgia family from Italy, that crazy Italian family from -- we're probably related to them though, aren't we?

Anthony: I'm considering white roses for next spring. I love the virginal connotation. You know, new beginnings and all that.

Claudia: You cannot just marry me off to the highest bidder.

Anthony: Sonny made a beeline to you, didn't he?

Claudia: No, we --

Anthony: Ooh, maybe I should start keeping bees.

Claudia: We happened to bump into each other at the Metro Court Hotel and --

Anthony: And he just happened to bring up my proposal.

Claudia: Yeah, to let me know that he wasn't okay with it and that it was never going to happen and to see if I was in on it.

Anthony: He's testing you, Claudia. He wants to find out where you stand, and that means he's considering the offer, no matter what he said.

Claudia: Well then, he's crazy, because there's no way in hell I'm going to marry Sonny Corinthos.

image

Sonny: Hey. You're supposed to be resting.

Kate: Yeah, well, ever since I was a kid, all I had to do was pick up a magazine or a book and everything else would disappear, and now I can't concentrate. Look, nothing.

Sonny: What can I do to help?

Kate: All I can do is think about you, how close we came to getting everything that we want. How we almost got it right.

Sonny: The way you say that, like we're not going to have another chance.

Kate: Will we?

image

Alexis: You're not supposed to be here.

Jerry: Look, I deeply apologize for what you had to see, and I won't let you deal with this alone. Oh, we meet again.

Alexis: Sam. Sam --

Sam: You bastard. You bastard, you set me up.

Alexis: Sam, you aren't helping yourself.

Sam: You did this to me. Let go of me. I don't care what it takes, I am going to make you pay. Get off of me! Lucky, get off.

Lucky: Sam, you need to calm down.

Sam: Come on, you know Jerry is into this up to his ass. My mother let him go. You need to go talk to Mac --

Lucky: Sam, you don't have any real evidence against Jerry after months of investigation --

Sam: Yes, I know, Lucky, because he framed me before I could get it. My mother took his word over mine. I'm in handcuffs. He's out there acting like he doesn't have a care in the world.

image

Mac: You're definitely a person of interest in this case. Don't leave town.

Jerry: Is there anything else, Commissioner?

Mac: You know what? I don't know if you framed Sam, or if you were working together on this from the start. There is no way in hell you're innocent.

Jerry: Is that what you believe, darling?

image

Sam: No, I can still save this, Lucky. I know how Jerry thinks, and he cannot walk away while he is still winning. I know he's going to push this too far. And when he does, I am going to be there to make sure he pays.

Kate: Jason came by tonight.

Sonny: I'll make sure that it doesn't happen again. Why did he come by?

Kate: No, actually, I would rather you just tell me that he was wrong, that you're not planning to form some dangerous alliance in order to avenge --

Sonny: What did he tell you?

Kate: Oh, he was vague. I'm assuming it was for my own protection, which seems just a little ridiculous considering the way things are.

Sonny: Yeah, but you know what? He shouldn't involve you. I don't know why he has to do --

Kate: He shouldn't involve me?

Sonny: No, he shouldn't.

Kate: I got shot. That makes me involved. So maybe you'll actually listen to me. I don't want you to avenge me. I don't believe for a second that the world would be a safer place if you go and retaliate.

Sonny: I can't let this go by. I already told you that.

Kate: But what if you did --

Sonny: We had this conversation before.

Kate: What -- what if you did? Imagine it. I could run "Crimson," you could run your coffee business, and we would be happy. That is what I really want, Sonny -- a future without the mob.

Sonny: I -- I tried to build a life outside of the mob, because I know that's what you wanted. I -- I was lying to you, and I was lying to myself.

Kate: That's not true. That is not true. I refuse to believe that.

Sonny: You were with me when we were teenagers. I can't get out of the mob. I can't. I tried. It is just something you can't do. If you can't see yourself living with me while I'm in the mob, then I understand.

image

Anthony: You and I have been getting along so well since you managed to save your brother's freedom, and probably his life, when you were on the witness stand. You impressed me, Claudia. So why do you want to go spoil everything by being difficult?

Claudia: You can't just give somebody my hand as part of a business deal.

Anthony: Love is vastly overrated.

Claudia: Sonny is shut out of his own organization. He wants Karpov dead, and you're just waiting for him to get angry enough and desperate enough to come to you on your terms.

Anthony: You're very bright, Claudia. You've got an excellent mind, and you're devious and treacherous. Who wouldn't want to marry you?

Claudia: Sonny. And I don't want to marry him, either.

Anthony: Wouldn't you like to be married to the head of the Zacchara family? You'd be in bed, literally, with the man who has all the power.

Claudia: Until you take it away from him. And then what? Where does that leave me then, Daddy? You don't honestly expect me to believe that you're going to hand over the Zacchara organization to Sonny permanently. Now, for all I know, you're planning on killing us both.

Anthony: Why do you always think the worst of me?

Claudia: Gee, I don't know. Besides, you're going to leave everything to John.

Johnny: Leave me what?

Claudia: Everything -- the organization. Me, your big sister -- if Daddy has his way, my new husband, Sonny Corinthos.

Olivia: Dr. Drake.

Patrick: Yes.

Olivia: I've got a question.

Patrick: Yeah, your cousin -- your cousin's doing well.

Olivia: Could you be a little less specific?

Patrick: Her vitals are getting stronger every day. She's got no signs of paralysis or permanent damage, and she is responding well to physical therapy. I take it you're keeping your family up-to-date with this?

Olivia: That is correct.

Patrick: Good. And are they going to plan on making a visit?

Olivia: Uh, I don't ask you personal questions. I'd appreciate the same courtesy.

Patrick: Yeah, I understand, but I am going to ask you anyways. Does your family know Sonny?

Olivia: Well, I guess that's why you gotta ask questions -- you don't pay attention. Yes, of course, my family knows Sonny.

Patrick: And how are they with Kate and Sonny being married?

Olivia: Well, let's see. You got a baby on the way, right? Since we're asking personal questions.

Patrick: I do.

Olivia: Let's just say that your baby was a girl.

Patrick: Well, matter of fact, we are having a little girl.

Olivia: How'd you feel about your daughter marrying Sonny Corinthos?

image

Robin: Thank you for meeting me on zero notice. Epiphany was about to go into a rampage, and I needed a break.

Jason: Haven't you heard it's not a good idea to be seen with me in public?

Robin: Oh, come on. Aren't you being just a little bit overprotective because I have a bun in the oven?

Jason: Mm, as long as we don't make it routine.

Robin: Okay, well, all of my routines are about to change very soon.

Jason: Well, you look good. How do you feel?

Robin: I feel great. The baby's fine, and -- well, I asked you to meet me here because I have to tell you something, something that I thought I would never have the privilege to say.

Jason: Well, sounds important.

Robin: Yeah. After a lot of back and forth and a couple of meltdowns and way too much ridiculous behavior, I decided to marry Patrick.

image

Scott: I will be more than happy to leave as soon as your friends leave.

Lulu: I want them to stay.

Scott: Well, I can't risk having them drag you out of here.

Spinelli: The Jackal questions your motives.

Scott: My motives? If you stay behind, you'll plot your big escape.

Lulu: Get out, Baldwin, before I really do call my brothers.

Scott: Well, good. Get Lucky down here. I'm sure he'd be interested to see how Maxie was impersonating a doctor. And jughead here, I don't know what --

Lulu: Do not call him jughead.

Spinelli: Actually, it's okay, fair Lulu. I've been called much worse.

Scott: What -- what do you really see --

Lulu: Just get out! Shut up.

Scott: Now, I told you, I'm not going anywhere until they go.

Spinelli: Fine, then -- then we shall leave if Maximista agrees.

Maxie: Yeah, that's fine.

[Maxie clears throat]

Maxie: We'll be in touch, Lulu.

Spinelli: You'll be in our thoughts.

Lulu: Thanks.

Scott: I'm sorry that your friends were --

Lulu: Get out.

Scott: Lulu, listen to me. I just want what's best for you.

image

Anthony: Your sister doesn't appreciate the kind of dowry I want to give her.

Johnny: Dowry?

Claudia: Yeah, you know, something that a father used to give his daughter away to like some random guy back in the 15th century. You remember, the place where our father would fit in comfortably?

Johnny: What the hell are you guys talking about?

Anthony: Claudia will explain the details. She loves the idea. She just doesn't want to show it.

Johnny: Is he off his meds?

Claudia: Daddy offered Sonny the entire Zacchara organization. All Sonny has to do to show good faith is marry me.

Johnny: That's insane.

Claudia: Yeah, Sonny wasn't real crazy about the idea, either.

Johnny: You've talked to him about this? Why? Claudia, there is no way in hell you're going to marry Sonny Corinthos. The guy treats you with complete disregard and disrespect.

Claudia: Daddy doesn't care.

Johnny: He'll care once I'm through with him.

Claudia: Wait, John -- wait. It's a waste of time right now to try to talk to him. You know how he gets when he gets like this. Besides, you know, it might not be such a bad idea for me to marry Sonny -- once we figure out how to use it to our advantage.

image

Sonny: If I don't send a message, nobody that I love will be safe.

Kate: But if you get back into the mob, you'll never get out.

Sonny: There is no getting out. I chose this world. There are rules. You know what the -- one rule is I will never let anybody take what belongs to me. And nobody that I love will ever be hurt without the fear of retaliation.

Kate: There has to be a better way.

Sonny: There is no way! I am telling you right now. If there was, I would -- I would be able to do it, but I can't. Listen to me. It's not going to make the violence worse. It's going to make it better. I just -- I just want you to trust me on that.

Olivia: Is this a bad time?

Kate: No, it's all right. I have a lot to think about.

Sonny: I understand. Well, take care -- take care of her, okay?

Kate: What? What -- what are you thinking?

Olivia: Nothing. Nothing.

Kate: Olivia, we grew up together. I know when you're thinking something, so just say it.

Olivia: It's just so weird. I -- I was just talking to Dante on the phone. You know he's never met his father. I swear, those two are exactly alike.

image

Mike: Hey.

Sonny: Hey.

Mike: How's Kate?

Sonny: She's better.

Mike: Yeah, well, then why do you look like hell?

Sonny: Um, when I gave Jason the organization, I thought we had an understanding that he would look out for me like I've always looked out for him. I was wrong.

image

Jason: Aw, congratulations. I know you and Patrick, you're going to be very happy.

Robin: You know, I -- I finally realized what was staring me in the face the whole time. I love him, and my heart is safe with him.

Jason: It's good to hear that.

Robin: I finally found the courage to believe in a future with a man that loves me and loves my child.

Jason: And I'm finally glad you got everything I wished for you.

Robin: Well, thank you.

[Robin chuckles]

Robin: I knew you wouldn't ask.

Jason: Ask what?

Robin: When I'm getting married. Queen of Angels, October 29. I think you should come.

image

Lucky: The preliminary report is back, and all your prints were found all over the drug cartons in your apartment.

Sam: Does that surprise you?

Lucky: Yeah, well, none of the evidence connects to Jerry.

Sam: Yeah, Lucky, that shouldn't surprise you, either. I was framed. You know what? You can believe me or not.

Lucky: All I can think about is you and Jerry in that hot tub.

image

Alexis: What are the odds, really, that I would walk in and see my daughter with a man that I'm involved with -- again.

Jerry: Yes, yes, I cut things too close, obviously. I -- I should have warned you about my plan. I'm sorry.

Alexis: Plan? You had a plan --

[Jerry scoffs]

Alexis: Besides the one about sleeping with my daughter?

Jerry: Like you, I wanted to find out if Sam was guilty or not.

Alexis: And you needed to jump in the hot tub to find out if --

Jerry: I don't expect you to believe me, but I would never have slept with Sam. I wanted to help you.

Alexis: Don't help.

image

Lucky: If the only way to get evidence against Jerry would be having sex with him, would you do it?

Sam: No.

Lucky: I'm not sure if I believe you.

Sam: I can see that you're hurt, and that is never what I wanted.

Lucky: What do you want?

Sam: What do you think I want? I want to finish what we started.

image

Jason: I wish I could be at your wedding, but --

Robin: Listen, before you say "no, I can't go," just hear me out, okay? I wouldn't be getting married if it weren't for you. It's true. I mean, you --

[Robin sighs]

Robin: You're the person that helped me to believe in love again after Stone died. I mean, I probably wouldn't even be on the protocol if it weren't for you.

Jason: That's not true. You would've. You were just scared. All you needed was someone to listen to you think it through. That's -- that's all I did.

Robin: It is true. After Stone died and I was diagnosed with HIV, I only pretended that I had a future. You were the person that made that future real for me, and you also helped me to believe in myself and believe in my own choices. And now I think that marrying Patrick is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I'd really like you to be there to help us celebrate.

Jason: And I will be -- in here.

Robin: But not in person.

Jason: I hope your life with Patrick and your baby is better than you ever thought it could be.

image

Kate: Are you thinking of telling Sonny about Dante?

Olivia: Absolutely not, no. No, Dante's life would be ruined.

Kate: But Sonny's life could be saved.

Olivia: Connie, stop it. We've been over this all a million times before. Nothing has changed. Sonny never meant to father Dante, and Dante does not need to know Sonny, all right? That's the end of story. Get some sleep.

image

Sonny: Jason won't give me back my organization. He's not going to help me go after Karpov.

Mike: Well, okay, he's always tended to be a little cautious about certain things --

Sonny: Okay, you know what? I'm not going to -- I can't ask him for anything at this point because -- I don't know. Um, my hands are tied, so I have no choice. I'm thinking of -- of making an alliance with the Zaccharas.

Mike: Come on, you're not serious.

Sonny: I am going to tell -- Mike, I am going to tell you why. The deal gives me the power to protect everybody I love -- and you know what's been happening, okay? But there is a catch.

Mike: Well, that doesn't surprise me. What?

Sonny: As an act of good faith, I have to marry Claudia.

[Mike scoffs]

image

Johnny: Sonny treats you like garbage. Besides, look what happened to his last bride. I'm not going to let you marry him.

Claudia: Daddy only has one daughter to marry off to seal this deal. That gives me a lot of options. I could marry Sonny and make daddy happy. Or I could not marry Sonny and leave them both stranded. Or I could marry somebody else.

Johnny: And what would that accomplish?

Claudia: It depends on who I marry.

Johnny: You are not going to marry anybody.

Claudia: You're missing the point, little brother. For the first time in a long time, I have real power in this family, right? I am in a position to make or break a major deal. And I don't mind telling you, I'm -- I'm okay with that.

image

Lulu: I'm sorry I haven't been by to see you. I should have, but I just want to hear your voice. It'd be nice, even if it wasn't real. I am trying really, really hard to get better, which is why I have stayed away because I don't want to backslide. It's hard because my conscience is making me write blackmail letters to myself about Logan's death, and I don't even remember doing it. And Maxie and Spinelli showed up with this big rescue mission, but they didn't think it through, which is why I am still here. And when I showed them one of the blackmail notes, they didn't even believe that I wrote it. I mean, I would like to think that they're right, but who actually cares that I killed Logan?
