Carly: You're Jax's assistant. It's your job to know who -- okay, I need to know who he has on the calendar so I don't duplicate the same hotel business. I'll take it up with Jax. Hmm.

Nikolas: Okay, so two people who clearly love each other and need to be in each other's lives but won't just give it up and simply be together resort to games and power plays. Is that a fair estimation?

Carly: I would take him back in a second. He's the one fighting this, not me.

Nikolas: Well, I'm hoping you're not just going to run back into his arms and cut me out of this deal here.

image

Trevor: You take your sweet time, don't you?

Johnny: Well, two meetings with you in one day is overkill.

Trevor: Back off that attitude, kid. I was out at Shadybrook, and we need to talk about Lulu.

image

Maxie: Trevor's with Johnny.

Spinelli: Jackal P.I.'s cell-phone tracking capability proves accurate once more.

Maxie: Okay, well, how are we going to find out if Trevor's the one blackmailing Lulu?

image

Lulu: Ah, it's so hard writing down what I feel. They ask me to write down my feelings, but when I read it, it's just -- it's so stupid. Spinelli gave me a poetry book. Maybe I could get some inspiration from that. I could read it to you, too. I'll be right back.

image

Spinelli: Jackal, P.I. and his trusty colleague Maximista must infiltrate the general proximity of Darth Lansing without detection. Maximista, undercover operations are not the right venue for cyber-chatting --

Maxie: Spinelli, give me a second. I'm trying to confirm the flowers for Patrick and Robin's wedding.

Spinelli: Okay, Lulu's life is --

Maxie: I want to help Lulu as much as you do, but an investigation's a little more time intensive than a simple breakout.

Spinelli: Yeah, but she's being menaced --

Maxie: Yeah, she's stuck in Shadybrook and someone is sending her anonymous letters. It is awful. But it's not like her life is at stake.

Spinelli: She's very --

Maxie: She seems to be doing a lot better since we tried to break her out. She's been acting snotty and insufferable, basically back to her old self, which is why, as much as I want to help her, there is a deadline to this investigation.

Spinelli: There is?

Maxie: At exactly 8 P.M., unless Lulu's tied to some railroad tracks or dangling from a cliff, you and I are putting our rescue efforts on hold, and we're going to focus on the wedding.

Spinelli: With all due respect to --

Maxie: Don't try to talk me out of it, Spinelli. Lulu has a crisis every other month. Patrick and Robin are getting married once. We're going to focus on them.

Spinelli: Oh, come on.

Maxie: We have to wrap this up. We're wasting time.

image

Carly: The problem I have with this deal is I still don't get your motivation for wanting to buy into the Metro Court.

Nikolas: Carly, I wish I had a practical explanation for wanting to buy this place, but I just -- I don't. I don't. I just want it. And the fact that it bothers Jax makes me want it even more.

Carly: I think you miss Emily. And I have to tell you that buying this hotel isn't going to fill that void.

Nikolas: Yes. Yeah, I'm looking for a diversion. So?

Carly: Well, I go shopping when I'm feeling down, you know? I buy a pair of shoes, a purse. I'm afraid that this hotel is a lot higher maintenance.

Nikolas: It's -- that's it, exactly. It's about something new. I mean, don't you think we should keep ourselves open to new experiences?

Carly: I do. I just think that if you are looking for revenge against Jax, that's -- not here.

Nikolas: No, it's about me getting what I want and not allowing anyone to get in my way. I mean, aren't -- in a way, we kind of using each other? Which is fine. I don't have a problem with that. I'm just --

Carly: I --

Nikolas: No, look. Take all the time you need, okay?

image

Trevor: Lulu is in a tough situation. But you already know that.

Johnny: You don't have any new information for me, I got no reason to stay.

Trevor: Hey, hear me out. I'm on your side. Can you honestly look me in the eye and tell me that you think Lulu is better off for having seen you?

Johnny: She thinks so.

Trevor: Lulu is not a doctor, John. Look, I want you to contact this man. He was the doctor I brought in to analyze your father in his early stages of his illness. He's going to be more realistic about Lulu's situation.

Spinelli: A-ha! We are emissaries of the fair one. And we have just attained damning evidence as to your treasury, Darth Lansing.

image

Lulu: Emily Dickinson, Walt Whitman. I don't know what kind of poetry you like. People wrote so beautifully about love. Wanting it and losing it. Did I tell you that Johnny plays piano? First time I heard him play, I always say, it was like seeing into his soul. I don't know if I could ever be that brave expressing myself. No, I'm not going to do this. I know you. You would not want me to cheat. No cribbing off of Emily Dickinson. I will find my own words. See? I still feel you with me. I hope you feel me too, Mom. I love you. Good night.

Luke: Senor, happy hour. Getting a little dry over here.

Tracy: Make it two.

Luke: Oh, now, that's what I like to hear. That's wonderful. There's nothing like a little debauchery to bond husband and wife.

Tracy: You know I have accepted you with all your faults, which are legion. Including running away from home. Meaning me.

Luke: Oh, no, not you, sweetheart. Never you.

Tracy: Luke, whenever it gets too stifling for you, you create a drama to justify your skipping town. Whoa. A lesser man would be dead if he treated his body the way you do.

Luke: But a lesser man would never have had as much fun as I've had.

Tracy: On the road, away from me?

Luke: No, you're the most fun of all. Tracy, you spoiled me for everyone else. Other women bore the pants off me. Unfortunate choice of words. With all of your scheming and nagging, you are utterly irresistible.

Claudia: Have you ever tried to leave the mob?

Jason: Maybe once. Actually, twice if you count --

Claudia: What? If you count what? Oh, come on. We're on our way to get married. The very least you can do is share a few of the pertinent details of your -- your early childhood with me. So you were on your way to leave the mob, and then --

Jason: And then the life I tried to make, it -- it didn't work.

Claudia: Wow. Insightful. What about the other time?

Jason: I just went traveling.

Claudia: Where?

Jason: Just places I read about in a book.

Claudia: What, wherever you wanted to go, whatever interested you?

Jason: That was it.

Claudia: That must have amazing. Go someplace, nobody knows who you are. You're totally anonymous. Nobody wants anything from you. Nobody wants to fight you. But I do -- I mean, I noticed you came back. So why did you do that? Did you get lonely?

Jason: I don't know why.

Claudia: You mean you won't say. Oh, maybe you really don't -- you mean you really don't know?

Jason: No.

Claudia: I don't -- I get the sense that you don't spend a whole lot of time contemplating your emotional life. Which is why you're willing to marry me right now.

Jason: Okay. I thought you were going to disappear.

Claudia: Is that what this ride is about? I mean, is that what this trip is about? Are we about to get married, or am I about to -- am I about to get a bullet in the back of the head? Because if I'm out of the way, then my father and Sonny don't have any way of making an alliance --

Jason: You don't have to die. For them. All you have to do is leave.

image

Sonny: I see you again after 20 years, and somehow, you know more about what I'm going to do than I do.

Olivia: I haven't forgotten, Sonny. Okay, I know you got slapped around as a kid, and you watched your mother get the same. And there wasn't a damn thing that you could do about it except develop this great big, fat case of suppressed rage. See, I get it. I really do. I just don't necessarily agree with how you handle it.

Sonny: How I handle it? Deke got what he deserved, that's how I handle it.

Olivia: I'm sure you say that about all the guys that gets what's coming to them. Like this Karpov guy. This guy slapped your face when he had Connie shot on your wedding day, okay?

Sonny: Mm-hmm.

Olivia: And now you're angry. And you feel helpless all over again, and you're determined to get even, no matter what it costs you.

Sonny: I'm not going to marry Claudia Zacchara.

Olivia: Yeah, you will if you want to get back in the mob, you will.

Sonny: You don't get it. You don't have a clue what's going on here. Kate's a target. I'm a target. So I'm going to do what I have to do to protect us both. That's it.

Olivia: Sonny --

Sonny: Don't do this. Don't --

Olivia: Don't you play me for stupid and don't you dare use my cousin as an excuse, okay? This is about you. You want to get back in the mob because that's what you're good at.

Sonny: Yes.

Olivia: Okay? I get it. But I got news for you. You can't have my cousin and the mob, too, okay? Especially not if you're going to marry this woman. Because I will tell you right now, there is no way in hell that Connie is going to be your mistress. Okay, so you get real honest with yourself and with Connie. If you're going back in, you say goodbye to her and you let her go.

Claudia: Would you pay me to leave town?

Jason: How much would you need?

Claudia: I -- uh, running's not an option for me. My brother tried to run once. I wasn't living at home at the time, but Johnny used to call me. And he said that my dad was really getting worse. And he couldn't stand it anymore, so he was going to run away to this cousin of his mom's. And I warned him not to try. I told him that Daddy would find him and that he would be furious. But he did anyway, and sure enough, my father called two days later, furious, frantic, and he wanted to know where Johnny was --

Jason: And you told him?

Claudia: My father found out. On his own. And he went and got Johnny, and then he killed the cousin, and then he killed the cousin's family. You know, as a warning to John not to try to run again, so all by way of saying that running is not an option for me. Besides, I wouldn't leave my brother to deal with my father alone.

Jason: He seems capable of taking care of himself.

Claudia: My brother went through a lot worse hell than I did, because everything my father did was about John. All of it. All of the craziness and the insanity. The murdering, the lies. It was all about building this empire that he could leave to his son. And that is why my dad wants an alliance with Sonny. You understand? So that Sonny can take you out, and Johnny won't have to. That's going to be the justice of the peace, so are we going to do this thing, or what?

Trevor: What are you doing?

Spinelli: I am conducting a handwriting comparison vis-à-vis the notes of terror being left for the fair one.

Trevor: Notes. What is he talking about?

Johnny: Shut up, Trevor. Are you saying that the threatening notes Lulu received are real?

Maxie: See for yourself. We think Trevor's trying to mess with Lulu's head.

Trevor: What?

Spinelli: It appears that Jackal, P.I. and Maximista have leapt to the wrong conclusion, as it were. Lansing the elder's penmanship does not match that of the threatening missives.

Maxie: Wait, how is that possible? We saw him there. He was in Lulu's room.

Spinelli: I don't know. Maybe -- perhaps the act of an accomplice.

Trevor: Sorry would be nice. Lulu wasn't in her room when I tried to see her. Look, I am trying to help her. So here, contact this doctor. But don't be surprised when he tells you to stay away from her. For your own good luck.

Spinelli: Jackal, P.I. is duly humiliated.

Johnny: Look, I get that you two are trying to help Lulu, but she wrote that note herself.

Spinelli: No. She would have to be possessed of multiple personalities to accomplish that task.

Maxie: I don't care what you guys say. Lulu is not that far gone.

Johnny: Look, I'll follow up on that one.

Spinelli: No, no. The Jackal protests. This is my case -- our case --

Johnny: I love Lulu. And if someone's out there trying to hurt her, I'll take care of it.

image

Lulu: Whoever was blackmailing me was in here, Mom. They had to be. I found this note inside the notepad that I left on your bed. This person is just trying to mess with my head. They want me to go crazy.

Scott: Just wanted you to feel some remorse.

Lulu: Scott. Of course it was you. You're the only one who would want to torture me.

Scott: Torture you? What about my son? Lulu, he loved you and you killed him.

image

Carly: There you are. Jax said you would be back and he asked me to take that for him.

Lawyer: I don't think so.

Carly: Really, because Jax is in a meeting and he asked me to get that for him.

Lawyer: Jax actually told me quite specifically that you're the last person I should give this to.

Carly: I guess you're out of your meeting.

Jax: Gillian. Carly. This is my lawyer, Gillian Blake. Why don't you take a seat? I'll be right with you.

Gillian: Sure.

Jax: Nice try.

Carly: What do you need a lawyer for?

Jax: You never know when one might come in handy.

Carly: Whatever it is, don't do it. Please don't do it.

Jax: You'll thank me for it later.

Carly: Why are we playing these games?

Jax: What are you talking about? You're the one who started this when you brought Cassadine into the picture. I'm just fighting back. I don't like doing this, but I intend to win.

[Phone rings]

Sonny: This is Olivia Falconeri's phone. She's not here. Me? I'm Sonny Corinthos. Who's asking? Oh. I didn't know Olivia had a son.

image

Tracy: Oh, I should know better than to drink with you. Something terrible always happens.

Luke: Terrible is relative, my sweet petunia pie. Here, have another.

Tracy: Oh, no mas.

Luke: Oh, that was a tragic waste.

Tracy: You know what? That's disgusting. You have cost me a lot in misery and money. You lie, you cheat, you make messes, and my family hates you.

Luke: Well, I love them. I absolutely love them. We've been had. We've been had. That dirty old goat.

Tracy: Who?

Luke: Who? Edward. Edward. He's not going to call. Know why he's not going to call? Because he's finally got you and me out of his hair.

Tracy: Well, that's a predictably paranoid statement, but it is a perfectly plausible point.

Luke: Oh, that was pretty good.

Tracy: Pretty good, right? But you're right. Daddy has left us high. And not so dry.

Luke: All right. Well, there's no point here in waiting for a call that's never going to call. So, come, wife. To the border!

image

Scott: Lulu, I want justice for my son.

Lulu: And this is how you get it, by stalking me in a mental hospital?

Scott: I want you to think about what you did.

Lulu: For a long time that's all I could think about. How sorry I am.

Scott: No, no. You're not sorry that Logan died. You're sorry that Johnny, your boyfriend, was arrested.

Lulu: No, that is not true.

Scott: Logan cared about you. He was in love with you. When you clubbed him and put him in a coma, he woke up. He made excuses for you. So I know that that night in question, he was not there to hurt you. You meant to kill him.

Lulu: No, that isn't -- no, you're wrong. That was an accident.

Scott: No. It's no accident that my son is dead. There's no accident that I don't have a son anymore. That I don't get to watch him grow up and have a family and have kids and meet the right girl. You know why? Because he's in the ground. And you put him there. So you know what? You're going to have to pay for this. There is going to be justice, and you will get a lethal injection, and that's what's going to happen --

Laura: Not my daughter, you son of a bitch.
