Kelly: There's the umbilical cord around the baby's neck.
Patrick: It's okay.
Kelly: Taking it off. Okay, I got her.
Robin: What's wrong? Why isn't she breathing?
Patrick: No, no, she's okay.
Robin: She's not breathing.
Patrick: Yes, she's going to be fine.
Robin: She can't die.
Patrick: She's not going to die. Hey, she's not going to die. Robin --
[Baby cries]
Patrick: See? There she is.
[Baby crying]
Kelly: Congratulations, Robin. You have a healthy baby girl.
Robin: She's beautiful.
Patrick: Yeah, she is. She's perfect. There's our little girl.
Jason: Why do you care about keeping the peace in my territory?
Jerry: I simply came to warn you. Sam's in trouble with Karpov, and she may very well attempt to seek your help.
Jason: That is an excuse. Why are you really here?
Sonny: I don't want anyone to see me here.
Carly: Okay, come on. We'll get you out of here. Be careful.
Sonny: Is there any blood on the couch?
Carly: No, I think we're good. Okay, take it easy, all right?
Sonny: Yeah, I'm walking as fast as I -- ow!
Carly: Are you okay?
Sonny: Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. I'll survive, just go. Go, go, go.
Carly: Are you sure?
Sonny: Yes.
[Knock at door]
Jax: Hey.
Carly: Hey.
Jax: Hi.
Laura: Uh -- uh, Luke.
Luke: What the hell is this idiot doing taking these bends at 60 miles an hour?
Laura: I'm scared. I'm scared.
Luke: I'll get you out.
Laura: No, don't do that.
Luke: Here, here!
Elizabeth: Okay, everyone, Robin and Patrick had a beautiful baby girl. And they are doing very well, so Dr. Lee said you can go on in and see them, but family only.
Spinelli: Send my warmest regards to the nascent parental units, okay?
Maxie: Okay, thanks, Spinelli. Matt? She said family, that means you, too.
Matt: I don't want to push it.
Anna: She looks just like you. Oh, Robin, she looks like you.
Patrick: She kind of looks like me.
Mac: Okay, well, you two, it's time to name that beautiful little baby. Have you decided?
Patrick: Yes, we have. We have decided on Millicent.
Anna: Oh, shut up.
[Laughter]
Patrick: I'm just kidding. Why don't you do the honors?
Robin: Everyone, I would like to introduce to you Emma Grace Scorpio Drake.
Anna: Oh, that's so perfect. Little Emma.
Robin: Ready to hold your little girl?
Patrick: Yes.
Robin: Yeah?
Anna: Mind the head. Get the head. Careful, careful, careful.
Robin: There you go.
Patrick: Hi, Emma. I'm your dad.
Anna: Maybe she does look a little like him.
Robin: What? What is it?
Patrick: It's nothing. There's just a little nick on her ear.
Robin: Do you think she's going to be exposed to HIV?
Jerry: My reasons are purely self-serving as always. You see, I have a vested business interest in this town, and those interests might suffer if violence erupts between you and Karpov.
Jason: Well, then talk to Karpov.
Jerry: No, no, the difficulty is Sam, you see, working for Karpov and appropriating his cargo.
Jason: That's his business, not mine.
Jerry: Well, if you make the mistake of assisting your former girlfriend, you know, you might provoke some hostilities.
Jason: See, I think that you're working with Karpov. And you came over here because you're worried he's going to drag you into a war with me. And if he does, I will make sure that you die first, Mr. Craig.
Jerry: You know, there's a certain satisfaction in dealing with someone who is utterly predictable.
Sam: Thanks for covering.
Jason: This is only going to get worse.
Sam: Yeah, Jason, I'll handle it. You don't need trouble because of me.
Jax: I saw the light on. What are you doing here?
Carly: Um, just checking on the house.
Jax: You're not considering moving back in here, are you? I mean, it's a lot safer at the hotel.
Carly: I know, I agree with you. I just wanted to come by and check on the house and grab some clothes and just straighten up a bit.
Jax: Aren't you going to ask me why I'm here?
Carly: I guess you're checking up on me.
Jax: No, no. I just got done with a meeting. I was driving by and I found myself thinking of you. It's something I do a lot more than I care to admit. I drove by the park, and I remembered the picnic that we had there last spring, the one that you insisted on making yourself.
Carly: Fried chicken. Crispy on the outside, raw on the inside.
Jax: Yeah, that one, yeah. It's a good thing the vendor at the carousel had popcorn and candy.
Carly: You loved every minute of that.
Jax: I did. I did. You know, with all my talk of divorce, I miss you.
Laura: Oh, Luke, we're going to go over.
Luke: No, we're not. I won't let you.
Laura: Here, pull Scotty out. I'll crawl out this side.
Luke: How about I pull you out and toss him over the cliff?
Laura: Come on, Luke. Here.
Luke: You just undo your seatbelt and come over top of him very, very slowly, okay?
Laura: It's stuck.
[Laura screams]
Mac: I think little Emma will be just fine, don't you?
Anna: Yeah. So this shot is supposed to counteract any exposure to Robin's blood, right? And it's meant to be very effective. And besides, Robin's viral load is so low, it's virtually undetectable. I don't know about you, but I'm scared.
Mac: You know, I remember when Robin told me Stone had HIV and she'd been exposed. It's like their whole world had bottomed out -- and mine. I never thought I could be this scared.
Maxie: This is so completely unfair.
Spinelli: It is a most grave, grave injustice indeed.
Maxie: First, Robin falls madly in love with Stone and then he dies of aids. Then she gets HIV and has to pick up the pieces of her life. Then she decides she wants to have a baby more than anything, so she does. And now, the baby might be HIV-positive. I mean, what's next?
Spinelli: You must remain hopeful.
Maxie: Spinelli, you don't get it. Robin's a really good person. She's smarter and kinder and braver than I'll ever be.
Spinelli: Oh, come on. Now you're doing yourself an injustice.
Maxie: Why can't Patrick and Robin just get married and have their baby and live happily ever after? And what about me? I want to be an aunt.
Spinelli: And a most fine one you will make.
Maxie: I bought this really stylish snuggly the other day. I can't wait to put Emma in it -- or have Robin put Emma in it because I don't really know how to hold a baby. I thought I would put her in this little sun hat and we could go window shopping on Main Street because I'm going to teach her to be fashionable right from the start. And then at night, I'm definitely going to tell her stories about her Aunt Georgie. I mean, that's all the stuff I dream about doing anyway.
Spinelli: Which will all most likely become a reality.
Maxie: Unless it doesn't. Spinelli, I'm just really scared.
Robin: Hey.
Patrick: Hi.
Robin: How's Emma?
Patrick: Top of her class. She scored a nine on her Apgar test. Her reflexes are excellent. She's strong, pink -- she's basically perfect.
Robin: Okay, but did she take her AZT shot?
Patrick: They're giving it to her right now. Epiphany is going to bring her back in a couple of minutes.
Robin: Why are you being so calm? Emma could have been exposed.
Patrick: Well, Kelly is testing her blood right now. We will know tonight one way or another.
Robin: You know, I always knew it could be a risk, but I never thought it would actually happen. And now that it's a possibility, it's --
[Robin exhales]
Patrick: Robin, I don't think she's infected.
Robin: Yeah, but what if she is? What if she is?
Patrick: Then we'll deal with it as a family.
Robin: Right, but every single day she's going to be burdened with the stigma and the prejudice and the protocol. I mean, you know, I'm an adult. I can deal with that, but for a little girl?
Patrick: You're going to be a great mother no matter what happens.
Robin: Can you believe that you have a little girl? I mean, you didn't even want kids.
Patrick: Yeah, but when I saw that little heart beating, and her curled up in your stomach -- gosh, now that she's here, I love her more than I ever thought possible.
Robin: I know. Me, too. It just breaks my heart to think that she might suffer because of me.
Patrick: Hey --
Epiphany: Look who's here to see Mommy and Daddy.
Nikolas: Excuse me. Excuse me, Miss. I just locked myself out of my room. I was in a hurry to go have dinner with my friends, and now I'm just kind of standing here like a fool. Could you, maybe -
Maid: I can't let you in. It's against the rules.
Nikolas: Right, I understand that, but could you bend the rules maybe just this once? I think that I may have left the water on in the sink in there.
Maid: I'm sorry, Sir, but you'll have to get another key card at the front desk.
Nikolas: It's really urgent that I turn that off.
Lulu: Can I help you, Sir?
Nikolas: How did you manage that?
Lulu: Because I know how to scam, unlike you and that lame-o story. Left the water running in the sink?
Nikolas: Give your big brother a little respect, will you? However incompetent he may be.
Lulu: Okay, so we're in here, now what?
Nikolas: Right, well, assuming Scott was able to evade Luke, we need to figure out where he may have taken mom next.
Laura: We gotta get out of here.
Luke: Undo his seatbelt.
Laura: This?
Luke: Yeah.
Laura: There. He's free.
Luke: Now very carefully, try to wiggle out of yours. I'm getting him out of --
Laura: Luke!
Jax: Perhaps it's a bit arrogant for me to show up like this and expect you to listen, so --
Carly: No, I'm glad that you came by.
Jax: No, I mean, there are good reasons for our marriage to be over and, you know, I --
Carly: I love you. I love you.
Jax: And no one in my life has ever made me as happy as you. I've been miserable since we've been apart.
Carly: So have I.
Jax: These pictures represent our life together. You seem to think that we can get that life back, get each other back?
Carly: This, um, this visit is really a big surprise for me.
Jax: Well, if you feel like too much damage has been done and you want to move on, I --
Carly: No, no, see, I don't want this divorce. I never wanted this divorce. And if we can -- if we can get back together, Jax, that would make me so happy. You have no idea.
Jax: What? I want that, too. There's one real obstacle.
Carly: I know. It's me, okay? I'm really good at destroying everything because I have a problem with trusting people, but you have proved to me over and over again that I can trust you and I know that I can.
Jax: Yeah, and I want to trust you in the same way. That's why I have to know, if it came down to me and Sonny, who would you pick?
Epiphany: Baby Emma had her first shot today.
Patrick: How'd she do?
Epiphany: She let out a healthy cry. She's got quite a set of lungs on her, don't you, sweetheart?
Robin: Thank you for staying with her, Epiphany.
Epiphany: Oh, it's my pleasure. This little girl has won all the hearts of every single doctor, nurse, and technician in the maternity ward. It is time for her first bottle.
Patrick: You want to do the honors?
Epiphany: Now, don't be worried if she doesn't finish it all.
Robin: Okay.
Epiphany: I'm going to give you a little time before I let the rest of the family in.
Patrick: Thanks.
Robin: Thank you.
Patrick: Hey, sweetheart. You hungry?
[Robin chuckles]
Robin: She looks so tiny in your arms.
Patrick: I wonder how tall she's going to be?
Robin: Hopefully taller than me.
Patrick: Okay, you ready?
Robin: Yes. Hi. You know what? You are a miracle.
Patrick: Yes, she is.
Robin: I just -- I can't even believe it. This little, precious bean with 10 fingers and 10 toes is our little baby. It's our child. It's crazy.
Patrick: Everything is different.
Robin: You know what? Before, the world was in black and white, and now it's in color. Just feed her in a little while, she's still sleeping.
Patrick: I can tell you're a natural.
Robin: Well, either that or Emma's just a really good baby.
Patrick: Don't speak too soon. She's got strong personalities on both sides of the family.
Robin: Very true. Wow, look at her. Emma, if I made you sick, I am so sorry. Maybe you should take her.
Patrick: No, I want you to hold her. I have to tell her something. Emma? I went through something like you went through not too long ago. I was scared and I was terrified and I was falling apart. But do you know who -- do you know who helped me through all that? Your mommy. She's the strongest person I know. She's been living with HIV for over 10 years now, and she's showed me what it's like to be brave and to be hopeful. And she's going to do the same thing for you no matter what happens. Aren't you?
Robin: Well, you know, I'm not really the pillar of strength that your dad thinks I am. Sometimes I falter and fail, just like I did right now. But now, you are my inspiration. And I have your dad to remind me what an amazing gift life is. So as your parents, we promise you that no matter what happens, we're going to give you a life full of joy and courage and gratitude for every single moment that we have together.
Sam: Can I please see the pieces of the detonator they found in the alley?
Jason: I can have Spinelli take a look at this, okay? I can see if this detonator matched any of the ones used in the Metro Court explosions.
Sam: Jason, I still think Karpov is the one who set the ambush. I just don't get that Jerry would work so hard to try and play me. It doesn't make any sense that he would try and kill me after that.
Jason: Well, if he's smuggling drugs with Karpov --
Sam: He is, and he's involved a lot more than I realized.
Jason: How do you know?
Sam: Well, okay, you know Nadine, the nurse, and Matt Hunter, they almost died in that clinic fire. Well, matt, he remembers seeing the shoes of the guy that set the fire and Nadine remembers the same exact shoes on Jerry.
Jason: Okay, why would Jerry want to burn down the clinic?
Sam: Okay, it's where the four of us used to meet. Nikolas, Nadine, Lucky and myself, we would meet there. We would go over our clues. We were always getting a little bit closer, and Jerry knew and he wanted to stop us. But just because he set the fire in the clinic, does not mean he was behind the explosion in the alley.
Jason: Well, if you give me that piece, I'll have Spinelli take a look at it in the morning.
Sam: No, absolutely not. I will handle it. This is my deal, Jason --
Jason: Who do you have for backup? Lucky's out of town. You should just stay out of this, Sam.
Sam: You know better than to try and stop me.
