[Knock on door]

Luke: Laura? Angel? You probably don't realize it, since you were sleeping in there where it's warm and cozy, but it got pretty damn nippy out here last night. Laura, please.

Luke: Oh, thank you. I knew that you were generous and kind and that you have a big heart. I -- I don't want to press my luck, but is there any chance that I could get a cup of that fresh-smelling coffee?

image

Carly: Congratulations, you made it through the night. This is where you thank me.

Sonny: Thank you.

image

Cody: Where'd you get this?

Jason: Sam McCall and I were almost killed last night in an explosion. I found that on the ground. Can you -- can you tell me something about it?

Cody: XP11 detonator, manufactured solely for the military. You can only get this on the black market. Whoever set that explosion wasn't kidding.

image

Jerry: Wow, feels so good for my ego. How's the head?

Sam: Where are we?

Jerry: At the proverbial crossroad, at least for you. This is the beginning of the last day of your life, so I suggest you make the most of it, okay?

image

Carly: Well, your fever's down, and your wound is healing nicely.

Sonny: Mm-hmm.

Carly: I'd say we're making decent progress here.

Sonny: Well, it's got to be good enough, because I got things I got to do. Could you -- could you hand me my pants? They're on the chair. Did you not hear what I said?

Carly: I heard what you said. "Hand me my pants," not "could you please, Carly" or "would you mind, Carly?" It's a good thing I've learned to have low expectations when it comes to you.

Sonny: You need etiquette, I'll give you etiquette. Hand me my damn pants.

Carly: Okay, let's -- let's talk about the likely path that plan would take, okay?

Sonny: Okay.

Carly: Yeah, I would hand you your pants. You'd get dressed. You'd take about three steps, and then you'd fall over, and that would put us right back where we started.

Sonny: Hey, you just said that I was better.

Carly: Okay, comparatively, marginally, maybe.

Sonny: I'm fine, I'm good.

Carly: Trust me, Sonny. You don't want to be out of here more than I want you gone, but if you get up and you start walking around and you -- you get hurt again, guess what? We're right back where we started. Do you want to be there? Because we'll be here longer. Is that what you want?

image

Luke: But it's complicated. It's just too hard to explain through this door. Is that coffee ready, by any chance?

Laura: Yes, it is, and it's delicious. Too bad you're missing it.

Luke: Are you really going to make me do this?

Laura: Oh, let's get clear about something. I'm not making you do anything, Luke, because I'm not your wife anymore. That dubious honor now belongs to Tracy Quartermaine, of all people, so please don't feel compelled to explain yourself to me.

Luke: Look, it -- it -- well, things got complicated. You see, it was a scam. I married Tracy for alimony. I -- I was hoping to just pocket a couple of million and then walk away.

Laura: Oh, and how did that go for you?

Luke: Well, you know, unforeseen circumstances. Things just kept going one thing after another, and by the time you'd recovered, well -- all right. I know I should have been more honest with you.

Laura: More honest? How about honest at all?

[Luke coughs]

Luke: Get help!

Laura: Oh, knock it off.

[Luke continues coughing]

Maxie: I love that you made me this.

Spinelli: Well, it was my privilege and pleasure.

Maxie: It's the most thoughtful gift that anyone has ever given me, and I can't wait to show it to Robin, although she's probably known about all this stuff since she was, like, nine. Robin is off-the-charts intelligent. Before I met you, she was the smartest person that I knew, and she's in my family, so talk about no chance of measuring up.

Spinelli: Maximista has a formidable intelligence all her own. Your inner workings of your brain are a constant source of awe and wonder for me.

Maxie: I hate this. I hate just sitting here, you know, waiting. I don't want to leave. I don't know if I should stay.

Spinelli: You know you can't give up hope, right? I mean, that's what makes these inevitable though thankfully occasional walks through darkness survivable. And I happen to know that hope can be rewarded in the most unexpected yet ultimately satisfying ways.

Maxie: Honest to God, Spinelli, I don't know what I ever did before you.

Jason: Hey, any word on Robin and the baby?

Maxie: Her name is Emma Grace, and she's perfect, pink, and HIV negative.

Jason: That's -- that's great. She must be relieved.

Maxie: Robin has some weird disorder where her blood won't clot.

Spinelli: The situation is most dire.

Patrick: So as soon as you wake up, we have to have a serious discussion about our living arrangements. I know you're really attached to your apartment, but let's be honest. Emma can't stay in a closet for very long, so I'm thinking the whole nine yards. A house, fence, maybe even a dog. Look what you did to me. I went from confirmed bachelor to family guy in 10 seconds flat. But I like it, so remind me to thank you, okay? Thank you for opening up a new world, a world that I can't wait to live in with you. Because Robin, without you -- without you, I can't pull this off.

image

Sonny: What's that?

Carly: It's breakfast. You need to keep up your strength.

Sonny: I thought the idea was to get me out of here as soon as possible.

Carly: That's the plan.

Sonny: Well, then I shouldn't be eating your cooking.

Carly: [Pretends to laugh] Don't insult the hand that feeds you. Okay, now look. As you can see, we don't have a wide selection here. We got rid of all the perishables when we moved into the Metro Court, so you have soup or you have toaster tarts.

Sonny: Uh-uh, no way.

Carly: No way to which?

Sonny: Both, especially the nasty tartar things. They got chemicals and stuff.

Carly: Oh, get out of here. The chemicals? That's what makes them so yummy. Mmm. So good. Here, have that.

Sonny: No, no, no.

Carly: Come on, be adventurous. They're really good.

Sonny: It's just processed crap.

Carly: Smell the strawberries. Yum-yum.

Sonny: If you don't get it out of my face, I'm going to use it as a hockey puck.

Carly: You don't have enough strength to take me.

Sonny: Yeah, you say that when I'm out of this bed.

Carly: But see, that's not your reality. You're not out of this bed. You're in my bed, and you have to depend on me to take care of you, and this is what I'm offering. I even have blueberry. Which one do you want?

Sonny: Why are you torturing me?

Carly: Because it's so much fun. You need to take a bite. Here you go.

Sonny: You can't be serious.

Carly: So serious.

[Laughing]

Sonny: No, seriously, it tastes like cardboard and jelly. I don't want to eat that.

Carly: It's good and you know it. But you know what? You would rather die a slow and painful death than admit that I'm right.

Sonny: No, to hear you telling it, you're always right.

Carly: That's true, and don't forget it.

Sonny: No, don't do that, don't.

Carly: Come on.

Sonny: I don't want it, and it's not good.

image

Patrick: So, I don't want to put any pressure on you. I know you have to heal in your own time, but it'd be great if you hurried up a little bit, because, well, I think Emma misses you already. She's so perfect and beautiful, just like her mom. Small and needy, just like her mom. I'm -- I'm trying really hard to be strong and to be normal for her, but it's pretty evident that I'm not very good at it. So Robin, you really need to wake up, because we need you to wake up.

[Knock on door]

Jason: I don't mean to intrude. I just was told Robin's not doing well.

Patrick: No. Yeah, she's -- she's got a disorder -- disseminated intravascular coagulation.

Jason: Stops her blood from clotting.

Patrick: Yeah.

Jason: Sam -- she almost died from it a couple years ago.

Patrick: So you know that all we can do is keep her transfused and hope for the best.

Jason: Sam made it through. Robin's going to make it.

Patrick: Why don't you sit with her? I got to go check on Emma, and she'd want you to be here.

Jason: Thank you. I -- I won't stay long. I just want you to know you've been on my mind every minute since this happened, and I think about how close you came to having everything that you want, everything that you deserve. Instead, we're here, and they're saying you might not make it.

Search and rescue leader: We didn't find any bodies or blood. The fingerprints and the DNA confirm it was Luke and Laura Spencer in the car. It appears that they walked away from the scene uninjured.

Nikolas: But you're not giving up the search?

Search and rescue leader: We're working at a disadvantage. Last night's rain washed away the footprints and made the site unusable for the canine unit.

Tracy: Ow, ow! Look out! Millions of miles of paved road, and my husband has to find a cliff in the woods to go over. Oh, my God. If Luke isn't dead, I'm going to kill him. I hate nature.

Lucky: We don't know anything yet.

Tracy: Has anybody looked at this scene? Have you all gone collectively blind? This is a setup.

Nikolas: A setup for what?

Tracy: This is not an accident. This is vintage Luke and Laura. They have taken their romance on the road.

[Luke coughs]

Laura: Are you all right?

Luke: It's my heart. The old ticker ain't what it used to be.

Laura: Is there something wrong with your heart?

Luke: It gave out on me three times.

Laura: Oh, no, Luke. You had three heart attacks?

Luke: Yeah, it was like an elephant sitting on my chest.

Laura: Okay, just tell me, what can I do now?

Luke: Help me up, please.

Laura: Are you sure you want to do that?

Luke: Yeah, I need air.

Laura: No, I think it's better to lie still.

Luke: Just don't argue. Just please help me up.

Laura: All right, all right. Go slowly.

Luke: Yeah, I will. Thank you.

Laura: You all right?

Luke: Oh, yeah, that --

Laura: There you go.

Luke: That's much better.

Laura: You bastard! You lied, and you tricked me to get back inside the house. How do you feel about yourself?

Luke: It wasn't a total lie. I mean, I really do have a bad heart.

Laura: And that's your M.O., isn't it? The perfect lie contains an element of truth.

Luke: Look, I know I have a lot to answer for, but I'm not going to do it through a closed door. If you're going to hate me, you have to hate me to my face. Would it be all right if I had that coffee now?

image

Jason: Do you remember the night before we left for Paris, the first time we accidentally met on the bridge? And you told me that you had faith in my future. Of course, I didn't know what you were talking about, so once again, you had to explain it to me. You said that faith is trust mixed with hope. That's what I'm holding for you, faith that you won't let go of the incredible life that you are about to have.

[Knock on door]

Anna: Sorry, I didn't know anyone was here.

Jason: No, I'm -- I'll get out of your way.

Anna: It's okay. You don't have to leave.

Jason: Yeah, I got to work.

Anna: Um, Jason, I'm sorry. We don't know each other. Robin's told me that you've -- you've been a very pivotal person in her life.

Jason: It works both ways.

Anna: I'll make sure she knew you were here.

Jason: She's going to get better. I have faith that she will.

Anna: Of course she's going to.

image

Carly: Sonny, you're not trying to escape, are you?

Sonny: No, I'm right here where you left me.

Carly: I'm sorry, I need to get something.

Sonny: What are you doing?

Carly: I need to get something.

image

Jerry: So sorry to leave you unattended, darling.

Sam: What's going on?

Jerry: Oh, nothing. Nothing to be concerned about. You know, I just think it's better to keep the boat moving, but it shouldn't impact you, since I'm the only one to get out of this alive.

Sam: Oh, come on, that's bull, and you know it.

Jerry: Oh, you think I won't kill you, dispose of your lovely little body and go on my merry way without giving it another thought? I mean, you're most things, the most wonderful things, my sweet Sam -- beautiful, daring, brave, sexy. But one thing you're not is particularly bright.
