Maxie: For someone who can't normally string more than four words together, you must have mad game. You can't beat these women off with a stick.

Jason: Now would be a good time for you to go.

Maxie: Oh, I don't get to stick around and hear why you and Sam went swimming with your clothes on?

Spinelli: Allow me to escort fair Maximista safely out the door.

Maxie: You're just going to let Jason kick me out of your apartment? That's right. Spinelli lives here, too. And I know it's shocking, but he's allowed to have visitors just like you.

Spinelli: The Jackal cannot divulge certain privileged information. Please just take me at my word. Stone Cold and fair Samantha are working on a matter of über-importance. So, please, your discretion is vital and will be deeply appreciated.

Maxie: Okay.

Spinelli: Really?

Maxie: Yeah. Well, I can tell it means a lot to you, and you hardly ever ask me for anything. The least I can do is take your word when you say you really need something. Besides, if Jason wants to participate in bizarre water sports with his ex-girlfriend that's not really any of my business.

Spinelli: Well, fair Maximista has left the building, or at least the floor. But the most important thing is she will not be coming back tonight and has assured me she will restrain her abundant curiosity.

Sam: I -- I have missed you.

Spinelli: The feeling is mutual. It's so good to see you hale and healthy.

Sam: Thank you.

Jason: You asked how I found you. Actually, it was Spinelli -- he managed to plant a tracking device on Jerry.

Sam: Wow. That's very impressive. Thank you. You save my life and the day.

Spinelli: The credit should really go to Stone Cold. He's the one that put his physical well-being on the line to enact a daring rescue of your loveliness from the evildoers. It's kind of like old times, isn't it?

Nikolas: Okay, so I made all the arrangements. My jet is prepped and waiting for you. A car will pick you up at DeGaulle and take you to the institute. I also -- I leased a house for you, so you don't have to -- so you don't have to live at the clinic. And I'll make sure that you -- that you get the address when you get there.

Laura: Thank you, Nikolas.

Nikolas: Oh, you're welcome.

Laura: You are such a good son.

Nikolas: Yeah, well -- I don't know, I guess I -- I guess I kind of feel like I have to -- I have to overcompensate for you. I just -- I want you to know that I'm really grateful for the time that we were able to spend together, however short it was, and -- yeah, and it's just -- it's great -- it is -- to see you awake and beautiful. I mean, you look -- you look beautiful.

Laura: Thank you.

Nikolas: You're welcome. And you're so full of life. And it's -- I guess it's kind of restored my faith in -- in miracles and fate and all the iffy things like that.

Laura: Mm-hmm.

Nikolas: Yeah.

Laura: You still miss Emily, honey?

Nikolas: Yeah, I sure do. I do. And you know, Mom, I'm really -- I'm really trying to get past that -- I really am -- and just dive back into the world, you know, and move on with things. It's just... it's just not my first inclination to do that.

Laura: I understand.

Nikolas: Yeah.

Laura: But you're on the right path. You really are. And there is only one cure for this kind of grief -- the passage of time, and living your life. You know?

Nikolas: Yeah.

Laura: It sounds so simple, I know, but it does take an awful lot of courage.

Nikolas: Ah, so says the woman who taught me everything I know about that.

Sonny: Listen, I appreciate what you did, but I don't want any misunderstandings. Okay? This is not the start of something.

Carly: What did you say?

Sonny: I don't want you to think that we're getting back together or, you know, we're going to start doing different things and all that kind of thing, because it's just not --

Carly: Oh, my God, you arrogant bastard. Do you listen to yourself? I don't want you back ever. I'd rather jump off the Brooklyn bridge than ever be in a relationship with you again. You show up at my door, and you cost me everything, Sonny. Everything. I could be happy with Jax right now. All I had to do was let you suffer the consequences of your actions. But no -- no, I had to help you. And now you're going to stand here and make it all about you and how irresistible you are?

Carly: You're unbelievable. The next time you kill someone, and you need an alibi, don't call me.

Mac: Okay, get a couple of units down there.

Mac: Carly, Carly, wait.

Carly: No, I gave you his alibi. I'm done. I don't care anymore, Mac.

Mac: Listen, a freighter exploded in the harbor. We think Jerry was on it. Jax has been notified. He's at the scene.

Laura: You know, honey, I was really, really glad to be able to be here for you when you needed me.

Lulu: Well, you did more than that. You saved my sanity. I mean, nobody knows how close I was to completely losing it but you.

Laura: But you didn't. And you know why? Because you're strong. You're much stronger than I ever was. It's strange, isn't it? We both are on such separate paths, and yet we both ended up in sort of the same place and on the brink of a new life. I want you to embrace that life with everything in you. Don't ever be afraid to love again -- I mean, not that I think that you have a problem with that because I can see it all over your face when you look at that boy, Johnny.

Lulu: Oh. Do you really like him or were you, you know, being nice?

Laura: No, I do like him. I think he's a very nice young man. And it's obvious to me that he loves you as much as you love him.

Lulu: Wow. Well, do you have any advice for me?

Laura: Oh. You know, I do. Always trust each other. Always be honest with each other, even when it hurts. And don't ever expect love to be perfect, because we're all just human. I think you and Johnny do have the potential to be happy together. And that makes me very happy.

Lulu: I'm going to miss you.

Laura: Oh, I know.

Lulu: I'm not going to cry, and I am not going to beg you to stay because I want you to get better, even if it means we're not living across the hall from each other.

Laura: Well, that's the good news, though.

Lulu: That's how it has to be.

Laura: Yes, and it's for the greater good.

Lulu: For the greater good.

Laura: Come here.

[Door opens]

Laura: You're going to be all right. Oh.

Luke: You ready to go?

Laura: Well, okay, here we go. And with a little bit of luck, I hope I will be seeing you all very soon.

Nikolas: Yeah, I'll arrange a trip for all of us to come see you.

Laura: Oh, that would be great. Bring the significant others and bring the children, please. We'll show Paris what a Spencer invasion really looks like.

Lulu: Okay.

Laura: Be a good girl. Bye. Bye. I can't do this. I can't say good-bye. Oh.

Maxie: Epiphany, have you seen Spinelli?

Epiphany: It's not my week to keep him.

Maxie: This is awful.

Epiphany: Did Mr. Spinelli hurt himself again?

Maxie: I'm sure he's fine as long as he didn't drop dead of embarrassment. Spinelli's really sensitive and easily embarrassed. You'd think Jason would know that and make a little effort to be considerate toward Spinelli's sensibilities. But, no, he just waltzes right into the penthouse dragging his ex-girlfriend behind him. They're completely soaking wet. I mean, if you can imagine -- the mind reels. Naturally, Spinelli thought Jason and Sam were history, so you can imagine his complete shock.

Epiphany: Why are you telling me all of this?

Maxie: You're wise, and I'm worried. I was hoping maybe you could help me.

Epiphany: I don't think anybody can.

Maxie: That's okay.

image

Spinelli: The Jackal has been summoned by the bernificent one for some cyber support. I trust my presence is not required here.

Jason: Not required.

Spinelli: Oh, welcome back to the land of the living.

Sam: Thank you. Thanks for getting me here.

Jason: You can grab some coffee if you want.

Sam: Okay, I mean, you should probably put on something dry anyway. Hey, the kitchen -- everything's the same, nothing's changed?

Jason: Yeah, everything is the same. And I'm sure Spinelli has some extra clothes if you want to get dry.

image

Laura: You didn't say a word all the way over here.

Luke: I'm at a loss. You come, you go, you come, go.

Laura: Well, that's why I'm going to Paris this time, because I'd like to stick around for a little while. Luke, I want you to know something. There's an awful lot between us that's unresolved, and, you know, maybe we're going to get to straighten that out and maybe we're not. But it does my heart so much good to see you so peaceful.

Laura: You know, if Tracy Quartermaine has done that for you, my hat's off to her. I really want you to be happy.

Luke: You're an incredibly generous and mature woman, you know that? And what you said before that our bond still holds -- that's true. So if you need me to go to France with you -- I will go.

image

Mac: Don't leave town.

Sonny: Yeah, I know the drill.

Diane: Whatever that horror of a relationship you have with Carly entails, no matter how torturous, make no mistake, it saved your ass today. So here's my warning to you. Don't do anything to set Carly off, because your freedom is only as good as your alibi.

image

Sasha: Congratulations on your release, Mr. Corinthos. You'll go last, of course.

image

Carly: Hey.

Jax: Hey.

Carly: Mac told me that Jerry might have been in a boat explosion, and they're looking r him. I just -- I thought I could wait with you.

Jax: Ah, there's no point in waiting. The boat blew up into pieces. They found Jerry's passport and a necklace he used to wear. There's no way he could have survived that.

Carly: I'm sorry.

Jax: Yeah. One hell of a day, isn't it? First I lose you, now my brother.

[Phone rings]

Carly: You didn't lose me.

Jax: This is Jax. Hello? Anyone there?

Carly: Wrong number?

Jax: They hung up. Huh, I think it was Jerry.

image

Sam: I'm going to hang this stuff in front of the fire if it's okay with you.

Jason: Yeah, sure.

Sam: As soon as it's dry, I'll be out of your way, so --

[Knock on door]

Elizabeth: Jason, it's me. Can I come in?

Elizabeth: What the hell are you doing with her?

image

Laura: Wow. You haven't lost your knack for the curve ball. Didn't see that one coming.

Luke: Well, I spent a lifetime dragging you to hell and back. It's way overdue time that I would try to pay you back.

Laura: I don't think you thought that all the way through. Come on now, what would you do in France?

Luke: I could always keep busy.

Laura: Yeah, doing what? Walking me back and forth to the clinic and reading a book in the courtyard while I get my treatments. Hmm?

Luke: What do you need from me?

Laura: I need you to be well.

Luke: I'll try to do that.

Laura: Good.

Luke: And if you need me --

Laura: I'm going to try like hell not to, Luke.

Laura: Okay?

Laura: I love you.

Laura: Be happy.

Luke: Be well.

Luke: Laura? If the treatment works, will you come back?

Luke: Goodbye, my angel.
