Nadine: Deported? That's awful.
Nikolas: Yes. It's more of an annoyance than anything.
Nadine: An annoyance to be forced to leave the country?
Nikolas: Yeah. My lawyers, they're working on it. It'll be fine.
Nadine: I guess I had no idea that you weren't born here. I mean, I know you always talk about Greece, but I figured your family just owned an island or two or 10.
Nikolas: Well, the Cassadines, we were Russian aristocrats. We moved to Greece during the revolution and just ended up staying there. Actually I didn't move to this country until I was 16.
Nadine: Hmm.
Nikolas: Technically, I'm a resident alien, I guess. And I just -- I don't know. I just never really thought about it.
Nadine: So why is the I.N.S. after you now?
Nikolas: Because when I was in Los Angeles looking for my mother, I got into a bit of trouble with the police, and now they're treating me like an illegal alien and telling me to leave the country.
Nadine: Oh. That's horse puckey. We won't let that happen.
Nikolas: What do you mean "we won't"?
Lucky: Okay. All right, thanks for the information.
Sam: I wasn't sure you would still be here.
Lucky: Well, that was the station. They said that the coast guard is on the scene. They confirmed that the freighter leased to Jerry Jacks exploded in the harbor.
Sam: Well, did they find a body?
Lucky: No. It was just cash, drugs, and some personal belongings, but enough to convince them that Jerry's dead.
Sam: Well, he's -- he's got to be dead. Because when Jason and I jumped off that boat into the water it was just about to explode, and Jerry was still in the cabin,
Lucky: Yeah, Sam, you could have died.
Sam: But I didn't. Besides, Lucky, you were off in L.A., trying to find your mom. So everything worked out. She's okay, and so are we.
Lucky: Are we?
Elizabeth: I am tired of hiding in the shadows waiting for some impossible day when you feel like it's going to be safe for you to be around me.
Jason: You know all the reasons I can't be right now.
Elizabeth: We have lied about Jake, about our relationship, about our feelings. And I realize that I started most of these lies, but I also know that they have a way of coming out. And when they do, somebody always gets hurt.
Jason: Yes, but keeping Jake's paternity a secret is the best way to keep him from getting hurt.
Elizabeth: I'm not so sure I agree with you anymore. I know that Michael and Kate were shot, but that was because of Sonny and his choices.
Jason: No, no, no, no, no. I want Jake to have a safe, normal childhood.
Elizabeth: Do you remember when he was little and you asked me what happens when Jake gets older and he finds out that you're his father, how betrayed is he going to feel, how angry is he going to be at all the adults that thought it was okay for him to live this lie? Well, you were right, and I was wrong. And I want to stop this before it goes any further.
Jason: I just -- I don't know what the answer is.
Elizabeth: Well, I do. We tell the truth. And then we live the truth.
Jason: And you and your children become targets immediately.
Elizabeth: Jason, I don't know if you're just trying to protect me, or you feel like the boys and I would be a burden in your life, but you need to be honest. Do you want me or not?
Jason: Yes.
Sonny: Hi. Are you here alone?
Kate: Yep.
Sonny: Somebody should be with you.
Kate: Probably. I sent Maxie back to the office and Olivia's on her way with takeout, so...
Sonny: I came by the hospital and you had left.
Kate: Patrick let me out early. I guess you got out early, too. Are you okay?
Sonny: Yeah, I'm fine. I had -- I had an alibi.
Kate: Yeah. Carly, right? Didn't she swear to the police that you had unbridled sex all night long?
Sonny: Who told you, Jax?
Kate: Yeah, Jax, Jax. You know, another person left in the wake of your dysfunctional relationship with Carly.
Sonny: Can you give me a chance to explain exactly --
Kate: No, I don't -- I don't actually --
Sonny: Let me explain --
Kate: I don't want to hear it. Lies, truth, extenuating circumstances -- it doesn't really matter anymore. We're through.
Nadine: Are you a citizen?
Leyla: Resident alien with a green card. Why?
Nadine: Well, what would you do if you got deported?
Leyla: Pack my things and go, I suppose. There really aren't too many legal options these days, and I'm certainly not going to marry a U.S. citizen just so I can stay in the country.
Nadine: "Thicker than flies and apple pie."
Leyla: Aunt Rayleen.
Nadine: I am so dense. No wonder Nikolas came over and that's why he wanted me to meet his mother.
Leyla: Okay, now you've completely lost me.
Nadine: Nikolas wants me to marry him.
Leyla: What?
Nadine: Yeah.
Leyla: Oh, my gosh.
Nadine: Yeah. He's about to get deported because he's not a citizen, but he could be if he was married to one.
Leyla: Okay. So why wouldn't he just come out and say it?
Nadine: He's too polite. Nikolas wouldn't want to pressure me. But it's no pressure at all. I would be happy to marry Nikolas.
Lucky: It's just been very -- it's been hard for me. I don't --
Sam: Listen to me, please. It was never about Jerry as a man. I -- I hated him.
Lucky: You keep saying that.
Sam: I did. I hated everything that he did. I hate what he -- he played my mother. He set fire to the clinic. He was giving patients counterfeit drugs and didn't give a damn that they were dying. I hated what he did at the Metro Court and never had to pay for it. Somebody needed to bring him to justice.
Lucky: So badly that you would have slept with him?
Sam: Listen. Jerry and I were playing a game of cat and mouse, and it did get out of control, and I am sorry for that.
Lucky: But part of you enjoyed it.
Sam: Yes. I wanted to beat him.
Lucky: Sometimes I wonder.
Sam: What?
Lucky: That maybe I'm just too tame for you.
Sam: Oh, my God.
Lucky: Yeah. Maybe you kind of get bored with me.
Sam: Lucky, I do not get bored with you. For the first time in my life, I have a man who actually cares about me. No lies, nothing. Completely honest, right? So here's me, being completely honest with you. I hope and pray that we are not over, because I love you and I want a future with you, whatever that may be.
Lucky: Honestly, this has been very hard for me.
Sam: Yeah?
Lucky: But I do love you.
Sam: Oh, good. Because I think there are worse places to start.
Elizabeth: You mean this, right? You want us to be together?
Jason: Of course, this is all I want. But things are going to have to change. We're going to have guards 24 hours a day. The boys aren't going to have the same freedom other kids have. So many things --
Elizabeth: And Jake is going to get to grow up with his daddy in the house, and he's going to know how much you love him, and it's the best gift we can give our son.
Jason: Okay. Okay, if -- if we're going to do this --
Elizabeth: Mm-hmm?
Jason: We need to take it one step at a time.
Elizabeth: Okay. I can do that. I can be patient, just as long as I know where we're heading, okay? I've got to go pick up the boys from day care. And then when I take them home, can you meet me there?
Jason: Yes, I can.
Elizabeth: You can?
Jason: Yeah.
Elizabeth: And then you can see the boys before they go to bed, and I'll make you dinner, and we can have a glass of wine, and we'll just hold each other like we did at the safe house. Only this time it's going to be our house. Don't worry. It's going to be fine. Trust me. I love you. All right. You're going to be there, right?
Jason: Yeah, I'll be there.
Elizabeth: Okay.
Carly: Jax?
[Phone rings]
Carly: Morgan? Oh, hey, sweetie. I'm sorry I missed you at Kelly's. I was looking forward to having a burger with my favorite guy. You saved me a bite of a cookie. That is so thoughtful of you. Yes. I will be home in time to tuck you in. And you know what, I'm going to read you a chapter of "Castles in the Attic," okay? I love you, too. Bye.
Kate: We're over. I have to draw the line somewhere.
Sonny: Why would you even say something like that, after everything we've been through? We love each other. We were -- you were going to spend the rest of your life with me.
Kate: Yeah, well, marriage, it needs to be based on mutual respect.
Sonny: I do respect you. What do you mean I don't --
Kate: You turn to Carly at every opportunity. You turn to her for sex and alibis and God help you, emotional support.
Sonny: That's not true. You're wrong about that.
Kate: I'm wrong?
Sonny: Yeah, you're wrong.
Kate: Well, your actions speak a lot louder than words, Sonny. This incident is just another in a long line --
Sonny: You want to know the truth? Karpov stabbed me. Right here. He left me for dead. Carly came, got me out of the water, brought me back to her place, and called the doctor. That's the truth.
Kate: And then she supplied your alibi for your latest murder.
Sonny: Is that why you want to break up with me, because I went to Carly for help?
Kate: I'm just mad, Sonny.
Sonny: What? What are you mad about?
Kate: I am mad that it took me so long to realize that you and Carly are perfect for each other.
Sonny: What are -- I don't -- I have nothing for her. I love you, not her.
Kate: I come second, right? Always. I come second to your ex-wife. I come second to your job. That is not enough for me.
Sonny: Okay, so you're hurt and you're angry. Don't -- don't -- don't say things you don't -- you know -- you can't take back.
Kate: Are you looking for a word, Sonny? The word is "irrevocable," and if you had actually gone to high school, if you had finished it, you might know that. Now get out --
Sonny: Do you know what you're doing?
Kate: Get out!
[Knock on door]
Cody: Jason, it's Cody.
Jason: Come on in. Make it quick. I have someplace to be.
Cody: Cancel it.
Jason: What?
Cody: Retaliation is starting.
Jason: Retaliation for what?
Cody: Karpov's dead.
Cody: Sonny was arrested, but released. Suddenly, there's Russians running around the city in gangs looking for trouble. They hit your transport yard. Whole place is in flames. These guys are out for payback, and you're a target.
Elizabeth: Hello?
Jason: Hey. Um, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to be able to make it.
Elizabeth: But you said you'd be here.
Jason: I know. I know, but there's a situation and I can't put you and the kids at risk right now, and I just --
[Phone beeps off]
[Phone cracks against wall]
Mike: Sorry, we're closed. What the hell? What the hell are you doing?
Sonny: Hello?
Sasha: The end has begun.
