Lulu: It used to scare me.

Johnny: You mean being here since Logan died?

Lulu: How much I love you. I was afraid of what would happen if I just let myself go, like, if I was falling. Falling in love. I understand that now.

Johnny: You were being blackmailed, and I didn't believe you. I walked out on you when you needed me the most.

Lulu: We both know that you did that because you love me.

Johnny: And I hurt you. It's the Zacchara way.

Lulu: You were willing to set me free by taking the blame for a murder that I committed, risking your freedom.

Johnny: I still don't understand how I could have gotten every single thing wrong. I don't know, maybe it was growing up in that house with a twisted idea of what love is.

Lulu: No, Johnny -- shh. This is not your fault. This is not your fault. It is your family and my family and the doctors and everybody telling you that you were to blame and that you were supposed to stay away from me. You listened to them, instead of this.

Matt: Well, the news is good. All the tests came back clean.

Spinelli: But -- but she's -- she still hasn't regained consciousness.

Matt: Well, she's going to have a nasty bruise on her head that's going to hurt when she wakes up -- which is going to be soon. There was no evidence of a struggle. I mean, it's possible that she just slipped.

Spinelli: I fear that is most unlikely. I know that the rules strictly state that only family can visit under these circumstances, but I humbly request --

Matt: I never saw you.

[Spinelli exhales]

Spinelli: I am most relieved. Relieved isn't -- it's not an adequate word to describe what I am right now, knowing that although injured, you are going to make a full recovery. I -- I live in words. It's my buffer to the non-cyber world, to make it -- to make it manageable. But when I saw you lying on the ground, the thought that you had been taken from this world, taken from me, words fled. Scientists would say my body was producing large quantities of adrenaline and hormones associated with fear in human bonding, but that is not an adequate way to describe it, either. What I felt in that moment is that the world could no longer be manageable if you weren't in it. Because, fair and cherished Maximista -- Maxie, I love you.

Lucky: Hey.

Sam: Hey. Well, what happened? How bad was the fire?

Lucky: The place was gutted, a barista was beaten, and there was a woman who suffered smoke inhalation.

Sam: And Jason?

Lucky: Well --

Elizabeth: He's fine.

Lucky: I wanted to prevent anything else from happening, which is why I offered to bring Elizabeth to the hospital.

Elizabeth: Which was totally unnecessary, by the way.

Lucky: It was an active crime scene.

Sam: Okay, was it the same M.O. as Kelly's?

Lucky: Everything points to a Russian syndicate retaliation, so that means anybody associated with Jason or Sonny is kind of in the line of fire.

Elizabeth: Would you excuse us for a minute? I just need to talk to Lucky.

Sam: Yeah, of course.

Elizabeth: Thank you.

Lucky: Hey, why were you here?

Sam: I have a checkup. I'm fine.

Lucky: All right, I'll call you later. So, what?

Elizabeth: Okay, I get that you're worried for me, but you don't get to police my life.

Lucky: Even Jason agrees with me.

Elizabeth: Well, then that's for me and Jason to work out.

Lucky: Okay, Elizabeth, I want --

Elizabeth: The same way that you and Sam worked out when she decided to go undercover --

Lucky: No, no, no.

Elizabeth: And run drugs for the Russian mob.

Lucky: That was not the same.

Elizabeth: Um, guns, violence, illegal drugs, I --

Lucky: Okay, that was a one-time thing. Jason chose to run a criminal organization. Now, if you're trying to create any kind of real or lasting relationship with Jason, you're lying to yourself.

Jason: I talked to your doctors and I told them that I would take care of anything that you need.

Kate: Oh, that's okay. I'm going to take care of my cousin. So if you're here to ease your guilt, it's okay.

Jason: No, I just came to see how you were doing and to ask if you heard or you saw anything before the attack.

Kate: Okay, so if they know that Olivia can help identify them, won't that put her in further danger?

Olivia: I doubt they even knew I was in there, so --

Kate: He's asking you to help him commit murder.

Jason: I'm trying to put an end to this.

Kate: Oh, now you're trying to put an end to it.

Olivia: I think I heard a few different voices. It sounded foreign. I think it was Russian.

Jason: Thank you.

Kate: Jason. Look, I don't know if you know, but Sonny and I broke up. And I know you never really supported his new life with me, but because of your power grabs, Sonny is now isolated and he's going to have to marry that vile witch Claudia Zacchara.

Max: I'm sorry, boss. I tried to warn you.

Sonny: No, we'll discuss it later. Can you just escort my brother and Ms. Zacchara out of here?

Ric: It's okay, Max. We'll leave on our own.

Claudia: I'll be staying, but you go because this will be a lot easier if you're not here.

Ric: Look, you don't need to deal with Anthony anymore, okay? Just -- just ride this out. Despite how we feel personally about Jason, we know we can't deny his abilities. He'll take care of the Russians. Just don't -- don't do something that you are going to regret.

Sonny: Well, you know what? It might be interesting to take Anthony up on his offer because that way, you'd have to answer to me.

Ric: It would be the worst mistake of your life. Both of yours.

Sonny: The idea was for you to go, too.

Claudia: I can't believe you're actually buying any of that.

Sonny: I know why Ric doesn't want me to take the offer. I mean, it's obvious. He -- he finally fought his way into your father's inner circle, and now he's suddenly on the outside.

Claudia: Ric doesn't want you take the offer because he thinks he actually has a chance with me, which is sad and naive. You and I are -- we're realists, Sonny. We do what it takes. We make tough decisions to get what we want, which is why in the end, you and I are going to end up Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Corinthos.

Lulu: You would think that I would hate this view and this place after what happened with Logan.

Johnny: Don't think about that.

Lulu: I don't. I -- I like it. I like being up here with you and seeing the city sprawled out below us.

Johnny: It's pretty from this distance. You can't see the crime and the violence. It's easy to forget that the money that bought this view is as dirty as it comes.

Lulu: Johnny, you did not choose this life. You were born into it. Your father has done everything in his power to make you exactly like him. And despite that, we found each other.

Johnny: Yeah, but how long can it last, huh? I mean, when everything that I do for you, everything that I give to you is tainted by threats, lies, and violence. I don't know, I just don't want to be like this, guarding from happiness.

Lulu: Nobody can take this away.

Johnny: You're wrong. There's always a price to be paid.

Nadine: Look, I know this is just a marriage of convenience, but I still feel like I should be able to set some boundaries. And when it comes to you, Nikolas, Carly has shown that she has what my Aunt Raylene would call the morals of an alley cat and the scruples of a snake. So.

Carly: I'm going to let you handle this.

Nikolas: Yeah, okay.

Nadine: I'm actually glad that happened. I know it was a little awkward, but I feel like we should probably, you know, address that before we get married.

Nikolas: Nadine, the reason I asked you here is because I wanted to do this in person, and I -- I appreciate and I'm grateful that you've offered to marry me, I just -- I kind of wanted to do it my way.

Nadine: Oh, my God. I'm so sorry. I didn't realize you wanted to ask me to marry you.

image

Carly: I know that look.

Jax: Oh, stick around. You're going to want to see this.

Carly: I'm not going to like it.

Jax: Excuse me, this won't take long.

Nikolas: What's this?

Jax: It is the deed to Spoon Island. Yeah, the entire property, except for the grounds on which Wyndemere stands, was on lease from the local Native American tribe. I just bought it.

Nadine: What does that mean?

Jax: It means that I'm his landlord.

Spinelli: As we wander in this metaphysical labyrinth, our paths converge with others. And the fact that our spiritual journey has found a way --

Maxie: I don't understand what you're saying, Spinelli, but I think you're happy.

Spinelli: Yes, I am so happy. I couldn't bear it if anything happened to you.

Maxie: My tests came back okay?

Spinelli: Yeah, the cynical sibling of Dr. Love said that there were no other signs of injury. In fact, he thought maybe you had just slipped on the stairs?

Maxie: No, I was followed.

Spinelli: As I feared.

Maxie: It was two of those Russian guys.

Spinelli: How can you be sure?

Maxie: I turned around to see who was following me, and I saw one of the guys with the tattoos on his wrist. And I tried to run away from him, and then another one grabbed me. Thank God they knocked me out so quickly. I barely had any time to be scared.

Mac: Only family is allowed in here. Get out.

Maxie: Dad.

Mac: Under your own steam, or I'll call security.

Maxie: But Spinelli is the one who found me. He brought me here.

Spinelli: I hear and obey the understandably distressed parent.

Spinelli: Believe me, your fear and concern for Maximista are matched by --

Mac: Shut up. You babble and put on this geek routine, and Maxie just laps it up, huh? Thinks you're cute as a kitten and harmless. Well, you are a menace, Spinelli. For whatever reason -- I don't know why, I don't care why -- you've chosen to work for Jason Morgan. You are a key part of making a criminal organization run. Do you understand that? You're some kind of genius, but if you can't connect the dots, I'll do it for you. You are directly responsible for the murder and mayhem that result. Two buildings burned to the ground. Four people almost died -- one of them was my daughter, my only -- my only remaining daughter. And you are responsible -- you, Spinelli. Your actions. Is that clear enough for you? Look at me. Stay the hell away from Maxie.

image

Sam: Hey. So, look, I was -- I was with Lucky when you got the call that your office had been torched.

Jason: Yeah, the good news is that nobody was killed.

Sam: The bad news is the Russians are obviously trying to make a statement, and this is only the start.

Jason: I'm going to take care of it.

Sam: I know. I'm sure you will, but you're going to need help and I think I'm in a position to give it you.

image

Sonny: That's quite a reversal. First you say you'd rather eat dirt than marry me, and now you're talking like it's a done deal.

Claudia: Well, you're the one who flipped the script when you shot Karpov. Now you've got a bunch of pissed off Russians that are coming after you. You need backup.

Sonny: It doesn't mean I need the Zaccharas.

Claudia: Well, you don't have time to make nice with anyone else. You need my family's resources and firepower.

[Sonny exhales]

Claudia: Cut the crap and quit playing coy. You're going to take my father's deal. I've already accepted it. I'm only here to make sure that you and I have our own private deal worked out ahead of time.

Sonny: You are getting way ahead of yourself.

Claudia: Come on, I know you're going to drag your feet and you're going to get every single possible concession from my father that you can, but, Sonny, don't take too long. You're no good to anyone dead.

Sonny: Okay, get out of here. Go.

Claudia: Hey --

Sonny: I don't -- hey, what?

Claudia: Look on the bright side -- at least the sex will still be great.

Maxie: Spinelli is my friend. He would never hurt me.

Mac: The truth is, Maxie, Spinelli hurts you every time he gets near you. He chooses to use his God given brains and talent in the service of organized crime.

Mac: He is Jason Morgan's employee. He lives with Jason. He's up to his neck in the mob, which is why you were targeted.

Maxie: You don't know that.

Mac: Look, I take no joy in this, Maxie, okay? I know how much you like Spinelli. In fact, I'll even admit that in ways, he's good for you.

Maxie: Dad, Spinelli is the only real friend that I have ever had. He believes in me. We would do anything for each other.

Mac: If that's true -- if Spinelli really cares for you, he will get out of your life because he is a danger to you, Maxie.

Mac: And I'm not going to lose you like I lost Georgie.

image

Jason: You shouldn't be involved in this. All hell is breaking loose right now.

Sam: I have been piloting boats for the Russians for weeks. I'm already on the inside.

Jason: No, you were collecting evidence against them --

Sam: No, my investigation was focused on Jerry. As far as Karpov or any of his associates are concerned, I was a captain for hire, someone who was reliable and didn't ask any questions. I can easily go back to work for the -- for the Russians and get all the information that we need.

Jason: It's too much to risk.

Sam: Jason, I am not Elizabeth. You don't have to worry about me. This is what I do and I'm good at it. Besides, even if you hate the idea, I don't think you're in any position to be turning down help.
