Johnny: You wanted to see me?

Luke: Yes, it's about time. Don't you think?

Johnny: Well, it depends on what you want to get into.

Luke: Choose a color, red or black?

Johnny: I take it we're not talking T-shirts.

Luke: No, we're talking spinning the wheel and taking a chance.

Johnny: On what?

Sonny: Hello? Dante, it's Sonny Corinthos. Yeah, we spoke the other day. How are you doing? Good, good. No, I just I -- I heard the phone and I answered it. Your mom, she's doing some tests. No, she going to be -- you know, your mom, she's a survivor. Yeah, listen, I'm glad that you called, because you and I need to have a conversation about your mother.

image

Sasha: [Speaking German].

Sam: Hi. Ms. Donev?

Sasha: This is private property. Who are you? What are you doing here?

Sam: Oh, I -- I am Sam McCall. I did some freelance work for Mr. Karpov.

Sasha: Oh, yeah, right. The lady captain. What can I do for you?

Sam: Well, if you're running things now, you can give me a job.

image

Jason: You shouldn't be carrying that.

Spinelli: It doesn't matter how much you protest. I'm going to exact revenge on the animals that harmed Maximista, and no one can dissuade me, including you.

image

Patrick: Okay, she's asleep.

Robin: Good job.

Patrick: Thank you. The hospital has called 50 times. Obviously, they don't know the concept of a new dad. I'll just -- I'll go call them from the hallway.

Robin: No, wait. Hold on. I have an idea. Why don't you just go in and do rounds?

Patrick: I can't.

Robin: Why not?

Patrick: Robin, I'm not going to leave you two here alone by yourself.

Robin: Really? You don't trust me with my own child?

Patrick: No, it's not that. It's just you're recovering from a C-section, and --

Robin: But I'm able to get up and move around now.

Patrick: You haven't been on Emma patrol. It's not as easy as it looks.

Robin: Come on, you're doing a great job, and you've had way less experience than I have. I mean, at least I've held a few.

Patrick: So, anything I can do, you can do better? Is that the way it goes?

Robin: Duh. Anyway, listen, the point is that, you know, I'm Emma's mother, and up until this point, I really haven't had a chance to be her mom. So, it's about time. Don't you think?

image

Luke: Where's that reckless streak that I'm so fond of?

Johnny: You can't believe everything you hear.

Luke: Hear? I was a witness, remember? The night I found you perched on the edge of a ledge.

Johnny: Anyone else would have panicked and tried to save me. You understood exactly where I was coming from and joined me.

Luke: Yeah, I thought I'd found a kindred spirit, but your inability to pick up my challenge here tells me otherwise. Disappointing.

Johnny: Am I not supposed to know I'm being played?

Luke: You think I'm playing you? I must be getting rusty.

Johnny: All right. If I can't know the stakes, I get to choose the game, and it's not going to be roulette. It's too easy to rig.

Luke: Me rig a game? Oh, Johnny. All right, voice your choice.

Johnny: A card cut. It's clean, and it's simple. You first.

Luke: Why not?

Luke: The lucky lady smiles.

Johnny: Yes, she does. Brighter still. At least it's suited. Let me guess. I just managed to hold on to my share of the Haunted Star.

image

Sonny: Yeah, I don't know if you've heard, but Port Charles is unstable at the moment. So, the best anybody can do is just keep a low profile, and your mother is just --

Olivia: Give me that.

Sonny: What are you do --

Olivia: How dare you? Dante, this is your mother speaking, and speaking as your mother, I would like you disregard everything that Sonny just said. Yeah, he's just trying to make me mad. No, honey, I don't need you up here right now, okay? It would just stress me out. I can't have you up here in a dangerous situation. There's nothing you can do. I love you, too, honey. Yeah, okay. Yes. Bye, honey.

Olivia: I do not even know where to begin with all the ways that you are out of line.

Sonny: I was just trying to look out for you.

Olivia: You were trying to do something. I don't know how much it has to do with me.

Sonny: Well, now you're over-thinking, like you always do.

Olivia: There is no over-thinking when it comes to you, Sonny. The only thing I can't figure out is what in the hell are you trying to do? Are you trying to terrify my son or are you just trying to piss me off so bad that I take my marbles and go back to Bensonhurst? Listen, if you don't want me all up in your grill here, you just say the word. I'll go back to Bensonhurst, okay? But don't you dare use my son to end run me.

Sonny: Stay, go, that's up to you, but don't make me your excuse. I don't mind you getting in my face every so often. I mean --

Olivia: Since when?

Sonny: Since never. I mean, I -- you know, I -- I liked going toe to toe with you. You're a street fighter. You bring a lot of passion, and you were always wrong, but you're never boring.

image

Sam: Look, I don't -- I don't really know how much you know about my work, but in addition to piloting, I can also supervise landings.

Sasha: I'm aware. Mr. Karpov was very impressed by you, and if memory serves, so was Jerry Jacks.

Sam: Really? Well, what does Jerry have to do with any of this?

Sasha: Nothing, just making an observation. Men have notoriously bad judgment when it comes to beautiful women, but another woman might not be so easily swayed.

Sam: I am not quite sure how I should take that.

Sasha: Why don't you just take it as a compliment and not strain yourself trying to figure it out any further? Come back in a half hour. I'll have a job for you.

Sam: Great. I will see you then.

Jason: Why don't you tell me what happened?

Spinelli: Maximista was accosted by two Russian marauders. They left her for dead, crumpled in a heap on the park stairs exactly where I found wise Georgie not even a year ago.

Jason: Is she okay?

Spinelli: Yeah, she's in the hospital, but unharmed, at least to the naked eye. With a head injury, it can be stealthy, not immediately apparent.

Jason: She was hit in the head?

Spinelli: No, she hit it on a fall, but hard enough to get knocked out, and that's how I found the only woman of my heart. Unconscious. She was still, stone cold. I thought she was dead.

Jason: But she's not. You just said she's fine.

Spinelli: Yeah, but that doesn't negate what the Russian thugs did. Maximista is tiny. Her bones are delicate. I picked her up. She felt weightless. Her fragile femininity is no match for burly Russian thugs, but they brutalized her anyway, and they need to be held accountable.

Jason: That's why I'm going to take care of it.

Spinelli: Okay, I appreciate your offer of intercession, but this is a very personal matter to me.

Jason: No, it's a very personal to me, because Maxie is under my protection, as much as anyone else. And I swear to you, whoever attacked her is going to pay. I understand what you're going through, okay? I've been there. I know that you love Maxie. The thought of anyone hurting her makes you so mad that all you want to do is strike back. You think whatever you have to do is worth the price, and I'm telling you right now, it's not. You cross that line, it's like walking into quicksand. You fall into a darkness, and it haunts you. I never want you to experience that. That is why you let me take care of this.

[Cell phone rings]

Jason: It's Bernie. I got to take this. No, no -- hold -- Spinelli. Yeah? We retaliate immediately.

***********************************************

Tracy: Hello, Daddy.

Edward: Don't "hello, daddy" me. You're late.

Tracy: For what? The meeting starts in 10 minutes.

Edward: We were supposed to discuss some strategy beforehand. Where the hell have you been?

Tracy: Oh, daddy, I'm not 16. I am not accountable to you for every second. I was getting a facial.

Edward: A facial? Nobody gives a rat's behind what your smooth skin looks like. We have some very serious business to jam through.

Tracy: Daddy, why are you so hell bent on making Monica chief of staff?

Edward: Because I want to get Monica out of the house. She is driving me crazy with all of this 12-step hoo-ha. What -- am I boring you?

Tracy: Are you saying anything I haven't heard before? I just wanted to see if Luke called.

Edward: No, Luke is probably winging his way across to Paris with his real wife, as we speak.

Tracy: No, Daddy, I am his real wife, and that must be obvious to you, since he made a decision to stay here with me.

Epiphany: We have three patients, Mike Corbin, Maxie Jones, and Olivia Falconeri, all victims of this latest mob violence. Our town is under siege. Lord help us all.

Elizabeth: I know. It's horrible.

Epiphany: And I'll bet your boyfriend's right in the middle of it.

Elizabeth: If you are referring to Jason, I don't know any of his business.

Epiphany: If you're as smart as I think you are, you'll keep it that way.

Patrick: Morning, ladies.

Epiphany: If I didn't know it already, I'd say that you have the look of a new father. I'll bet you haven't slept two straight hours since that baby entered this world.

Patrick: Yeah, well, sleep's overrated.

Epiphany: Hold on to that thought.

Elizabeth: How is Robin adjusting to motherhood?

Patrick: You know Robin. She's fearless in the face of new challenges. She'll be brilliant.

image

Robin: You've got to be kidding me. How does...

[Emma cries]

Robin: Saved by the baby. I'm coming. Mom's coming.

Robin: Hey. It's okay. It's okay, little girl. You probably need to be changed, don't you? Okay. It's okay. You're okay. Maybe you need to eat. You need a bottle? Okay, it's called multitasking, my little girl. Bottle warming, diaper changing, it's fine. Okay, so I'll warm the bottle. Wait, I can't really take you in the kitchen now. I can't really put you on the floor. So, okay, you're going to have to wait out here. Okay, just --

[Emma crying]

Robin: Okay, okay, okay. You can come with mommy. It's all right. I'll figure out a way. Maybe -- do you want a diaper or a bottle? I don't know. Oh, Emma, I'm sorry. It's okay. I'm sorry. I don't know how to help you right now.

[Emma crying]

Luke: I need immediate cash influx in order to reopen this joint.

Johnny: I hear your wife's a rich woman, though.

Luke: Things with Tracy are a little complicated since Laura woke up.

Johnny: I can imagine.

Luke: Not unless you know my wives.

Johnny: Caught between two formidable women that you've sworn to love forever? Way to position yourself.

Luke: Believe me, it wasn't deliberate. My choice would have been to stay, if not faithful, at least committed, to one or the other.

Johnny: But you chose Tracy.

Luke: Yes, I did. The point is I don't like my woman to have to front my business capital. I need my own stakes.

Johnny: My partnership still holds.

Luke: I haven't forgotten that the Zaccharas framed me for money laundering.

Johnny: True, but you managed to turn the tables and stole all the clean money.

Luke: Well, it's the least I could do. My point is I'm not sure I can trust this partnership. What's the cleanest way to get rid of your family?

Johnny: If I knew the answer to that, I would have taken care of it a long time ago.

image

Sonny: I keep telling you, Olivia, to be more careful. That's all I'm saying, but you don't want to listen, because all you do is flap, flap, flap your mouth.

Olivia: No, see, you keep mistaking me for someone who is going to take orders from you, and I never have and I never will. No matter how hard you push.

Sonny: You give yourself a lot of importance in my life, don't you?

Olivia: See, you're just pissed off that I had you pegged from the minute I laid eyes on you, okay? This is Sonny's world and we're all just living in it, waiting for the honor to come into your attention.

Sonny: Well, you should be glad that I paid attention. Otherwise, you'd be burned to a crisp.

Olivia: Okay, yes. Thank you for saving me. Now, have a nice a life and stay the hell out of mine, okay?

Sonny: Who are you to tell anybody to mind their own business when all you do is spout out judgments and opinions and nobody really wants to listen to what you got to say?

Olivia: I speak my mind.

Sonny: Oh, yeah? Too much.

Olivia: Yeah, for your taste, I'm sure.

Sonny: Okay, you think I'm wrong? Why don't we get on the phone with your son? Let me -- let me -- get the phone. Let me talk to your son.

image

Max: What are you doing here?

Spinelli: Greetings, loyal guard of Mr. Sir. I was -- I was hoping to speak to him.

Max: Yeah, Mr. C.'s not here right now.

Spinelli: Oh, well, I'll come back another time.

Max: Not so fast. What are you really doing here, Spinelli?

Spinelli: Really doing?

Max: Yeah. You irritate the boss and he terrifies you. What reason would you have to seek him out?

Spinelli: Well, you know, in these trying times, the unfortunate riff between Mr. Sir and Stone Cold endangers us all. For everyone's sake, it should be mended. So, it was my hope that a sincere appeal to Mr. Sir could bring about a reconciliation.

Max: Right. I agree that it is the worst possible time for Sonny and Jason to be at odds, but I can assure you, Mr. C.'s not going to entertain any of your appeals. You're lucky he's not here, Spinelli. My advice to you right now, hit the road before he comes back.

Spinelli: That may be the most prudent choice. I -- I thank you for your wise counsel.

image

Olivia: I am not even kidding, Sonny. You leave my son out of this.

[Sonny laughs]

Olivia: What is so freaking funny?

Sonny: You're so easy.

Olivia: Excuse me?

Sonny: Your buttons were always easy to push.

Olivia: Maybe it's all the practice you had.

Sonny: It's like riding a bike.

Olivia: You know what? Dante is not just a button. He is a very hot button. You push that one too hard, and you will burn something important.

Kate: Sorry to interrupt. I came by to see if you needed anything, but you seem fine.

Olivia: I'm getting there.

Kate: It was really nice of you to drop by and visit Olivia on your busy day. I hope she appreciates it and shows you her gratitude accordingly.

Olivia: I'm not sure if that was a dig at Sonny or me.

Kate: No dig.

Sonny: First of all, I'd come visit her no matter what. As a matter of fact, I was hoping to run into you.

Olivia: Well, I can't tell you how deeply that touches me, Sonny.

Kate: You should be used to it by now, Olivia. Sonny using you to get to me.

Olivia: Oh, she zings off another one.

Kate: You don't have to worry about me anymore, Sonny. You have a whole bunch of other people to worry about, right?

Sonny: What does that mean? Okay, well, you know what? Don't be a busybody. Do what the doctors tell you. Otherwise, I am going to call Dante myself and tell him to come keep an eye on you.

Olivia: You're an ass, you know that?

Sonny: Yeah, many people have said that. I don't want this to be over. So, if you need me, you know where to go.

Kate: Well, I think that Sonny's right about one thing. I think he should contact Dante.

Olivia: Please, Connie, let's not bring this up right now, okay?

Kate: Why? It's way past time that they got to know each other. He's his father.

Olivia: This is not your call. Please get it out of your head.

Kate: Why should I, Olivia? Why shouldn't I tell him? I mean, why should I be bound eternally to keep a secret that I don't believe in.

Olivia: Because you promised.

Kate: It was a really long time ago. In fact, it was a whole lifetime ago. None of those reasons are in play anymore. Sonny deserves to know that Dante is his son, and I don't know, maybe me telling him might be a perfect, final gesture.
