Nikolas: I think Carly just offered a reasonable solution. It's unfair to reject it out of hand, don't you think?

Carly: Yes, Jax, it works out for everyone. Nikolas can sell his shares of the Metro Court back to me. You can sell Nikolas Spoon Island. No harm, no foul. We all wind up back where we started.

Jax: Which is precisely where I don't want to be. In fact, riding over here on the launch, I realized how beautiful Spoon Island is at night. I mean, it has amazing potential for commercial development here. So, with that in mind, I've decided to buy Wyndemere as well.

Claudia: You think you can just throw an engagement ring in my face and a proposal and I -- I'll marry you anyway?

Sonny: Yeah, I just did it, didn't I?

Claudia: Look who's here.

Sonny: Olivia, is everything okay?

Claudia: I assume she was spying. She's just not any good at it.

Sonny: What are you doing here?

Olivia: I came here to try and talk some sense into you. It looks like I'm too late, if that's actually an engagement ring.

Claudia: It is. Why don't you hurry up and congratulate us and then you can run off and tell your cousin Connie Sonny and I are officially getting married.

Mac: We all agree it's a crisis, Mayor. No, sir. I'm aware of the bystanders. Yes, my daughter was one of them. My prime suspect just walked in. No, sir, no one wants business as usual. All right. I'll take it from here.

[Door closes]

Mac: Port Charles is under siege, Jason. A lot of innocent people are getting hurt, and it's all on you.

image

Elizabeth: This is going to be so much fun. When Sam gets back inside, we're going to light a fire and we're going to roast marshmallows.

Sam: The Russians are outside.

Elizabeth: What?

Sam: Yes, they're here.

Elizabeth: There's no dial tone.

Sam: They must have cut the lines.

Elizabeth: Are you sure there's no cell signal out here?

Sam: No, no, not for miles. We're definitely on our own.

Sam: I think you and the boys should probably just hang out in the bedroom for a while. It has the fewest windows.

Elizabeth: Okay, Cameron, get the toys and put them in the bag, please.

Sam: Come here, honey. Maybe you guys can go in the bedroom and play fort in the closet or -- or under the bed or -- or -- okay, you want to keep them where it's most protected.

Elizabeth: Okay, I got it. Okay, guys, come on. Let's go. Let's get the -- let's get our toys and we're going to be in the bedroom. We're going to see if we can build a fort, okay? Here, grab me that. Okay, come on. Come with me. Let's go.

Cameron: Go, go, go!

Sam: It's just me. It's just me. Oh, you guys are playing fort. What a great idea. Can I come in?

Elizabeth and Cameron: Sure.

Sam: Okay. I got an idea. Why don't you guys play hide out and your mom and I are going to fix the window?

[Jake cries]

Elizabeth: All right, yeah, that sounds like a good plan. Here, can you take care of your brother and play with the -- the motorcycles?

[Jake fusses]

Elizabeth: Here's a motorcycle.

Cameron: Here, here.

Elizabeth: Enjoy.

Mac: Sit down.

Mac: You think I don't know what's happening here, Jason? Sonny killed Andrei Karpov to avenge Kate Howard getting shot. Karpov is middle management in the Russian mob. And his people retaliated by blowing up one of your truck yards, killing two guards, burning down Kelly's, and leaving Mike Corbin beaten half to death. Then they hit your coffee house and sent two more innocent people to the hospital. Oh, and not that you care, my daughter was also attacked.

Jason: Mac, I hate all of this, especially what happened to Maxie.

Mac: Then you admit you're trying to shut down the Russians by hitting back harder. That's why you lured them to the warehouse, fired off a few rounds, then blew the place sky high. Three people were killed, and we're still digging through the rubble, Jason. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this wasn't the first strike. Yeah, I think you're not going to stop until they're either all dead or out of your territory, right? I mean, it's an interesting strategy that probably works for the mob, but in the real world where the rest of us live, Jason, it's called murder. You're going to pay for it this time. The Russians -- no, the Russians, you see, they're just a symptom. You -- you and your organization are the disease. And I'm going to shut you down.

Nikolas: I won't be selling Wyndemere under any circumstance.

Jax: Well, I'm sure you'll reconsider once the golf balls come crashing through your stained glass windows.

[Nikolas chuckles]

Nikolas: That's funny. Well, that's not going to happen because this resort of yours that you've dreamed up is never going to be built. In fact, my attorneys are probably getting my lease renewed as we speak. I'm certainly not going to live surrounded by tourists.

Jax: You're right. You're probably going to have to move out. I mean, why live with the inconvenience if you don't have your horses or your grounds. Those beautiful open pastures, they're going to be golf courses and parking garages. I'm going to build condos along most of the cliffs. Well, I'll be happy to leave you a view of the Metro Court since you're so fond of it.

Nikolas: That's all right. I'll keep my view. Don't you worry about that. You know what? Should I just go ahead with my original plan and force you out of the Metro Court completely just because I can?

Jax: You know, Nikolas, you'll have a hell of a lot more to worry about here at home, at least while you can still call it home. I'm just wondering what I should do with this place, if I should tear it down or renovate it.

Carly: You have never cared about Spoon Island, much less been interested in Wyndemere. This whole place is creepy and a lot of bad things have happened here. It would be a very hard sell as a resort and spa.

Jax: That's a good point. She has a good point. You know, I'll have to tear it down.

Nikolas: You don't own Wyndemere, Jax, only the land around it, arguably at that.

Jax: I will own everything soon.

Carly: Okay, stop. I don't want some minor deal to turn into a huge fight over nothing, especially when I have the most to lose here.

Jax: You couldn't sell your shares to the Metro Court to Nikolas fast enough.

Carly: He just agreed to sell them back.

Jax: You know, I could probably put together some kind of package deal. I'm sure that the hotel will only help the resort and vice versa.

Nikolas: I don't think you -- you're really getting this, Jax. There will be nothing built. Either I win back the lease or I keep you tied up in court for years, your choice.

Jax: Don't worry, Nikolas. It'll be very high end, no peasants allowed.

Carly: Stop. You're being completely unreasonable and you know it.

Jax: At one point, I would've listened to you, but that time has come and gone.

[Nikolas chuckles]

Nikolas: Are you building this resort because you want to punish wife -- what, five, six, seven?

Jax: No, Nikolas, this is -- this is simply business, okay? This has nothing to do with my personal life.

Carly: Really? Then think, Jax. It's winter. No one starts building a resort in upstate New York in the winter. No, this isn't a good investment. You're doing this to get back at me because of what happened with Sonny and you know it.

Jax: This is a perfectly legal development of an unutilized property. That's it. That's all there -- there's only one question, really -- what do we call the place? The Resort and Spa at Spoon Island -- that's a little long, right? Spoon Island spa, Spoon Island spa -- what do you think, guys?

Nikolas: You keep pushing and I'll take everything you have.

Lulu: I will love you, no matter what you do, but I think you should think about what it costs to be in your family versus what it would cost to leave.

Johnny: I've left before and I told you what happened. My father killed the family who tried to help me.

Lulu: That was a long time ago. Your father is not as crazy as he used to be.

Johnny: Okay, but don't bet on that, okay? Even if I did leave, what then? I have a high school diploma and no job experience. College was never an option, so really, the only thing in life that I know how to do is drive fast and shoot guns.

Lulu: You could always give piano lessons.

Coleman: I could set you up with a keyboard and a tip jar over there in the corner. Every joint needs a piano player now and then.

Lulu: See? Look at that. You make a choice and then all of a sudden, things happen. Well, I got to head to work soon. You should think about leaving, too.

Johnny: Let's get out of here.

Lulu: What, us? Where?

Johnny: I don't know, wherever.

Lulu: Whoa --

Johnny: Thanks.

Lulu: Okay. [Chuckling] I am so driving.

Olivia: So what do you want me to tell Connie?

Sonny: Let me --

Olivia: Exactly.

Sonny: I'll take care of it.

Olivia: No.

Sonny: Yeah, I will.

Olivia: Family -- I don't want her to hear this from anyone else but me.

Claudia: It's amazing what we'll do in the name of family, isn't it?

Olivia: Don't get me wrong, Sonny. I'm not surprised, just disappointed.

Claudia: You were hoping for one of these for yourself?

Olivia: I just wish you could've been honest with Connie. And I wish she could understand what power really means to you.

Sonny: Olivia, you got to understand something, okay? Kate and I, we're not together right now. And she -- she -- you know, she'll understand what I'm trying to do here, okay? But you were right from the start. You were right from the start. Somebody in the business shouldn't be with somebody out of the business.

Olivia: Right. Well, you're lying down with dogs here. And you don't need me to tell you this is not going to end well.

[Door closes]

Claudia: So, which cousin are you really in love with, Kate or Olivia?

image

Jax: You want to come after me, Nikolas, by all means, have at it.

Nikolas: You'll regret that attitude.

Jax: Why, am I being too cavalier, not respectful enough to the prince? Weren't you the one that started all this when you decided to buy my hotel on a whim?

Nikolas: Oh, I see, no one can challenge the mighty Jasper Jacks, right?

Jax: No, no, no, by all means, go ahead. I mean, this is what I do, Nikolas. This is my business. It's what I do all day long. The higher you raise the stakes, the more fun it becomes for me.

Nikolas: I'm giving you the opportunity to back down. If you have any respect at all for Carly, accept her offer and we can all move on.

Carly: You know, I think we need to stop here because you guys are both crossing lines and it's getting a little ridiculous. We need to take a deep breath and back off before this gets out of control. I don't want us to look back six months from now and regret the choices we're making here.

Jax: I'm done looking back. I'm dealing with reality. And the reality is I own Spoon Island and I'm going to develop it as I see fit, just like I'll soon own this travesty.

Carly: I'm sorry.

Nikolas: It's all right. I'm really going to enjoy bringing him down.

Maxie: I chose the light blue silk because "Couture" had it planned for spring.

Kate: How did you know that?

Maxie: I have my sources. We scooped them by at least three months. And Federico is very happy to debut his new line with us.

Kate: Yes, well, Clarice says that you refuse to run anything by her.

Maxie: I was just trying to get the magazine out the door.

Kate: Clarice is the junior editor. You are the first assistant. You clearly took quite a lot on. I mean, really, who would wear this kinoflutch to a formal event?

Maxie: Everyone I know.

Olivia: Hey, lay off the kid, will you, Connie? Come on.

Kate: We're busy, Olivia.

Olivia: What's wrong with the pictures?

Kate: It's called a layout.

Olivia: Well, I think it looks great. Just so you know, Maxie wanted to run everything past you. I wouldn't let her because I didn't want you disturbed in the hospital. You should be very grateful to her. She got your magazine out to the stands on time.

Kate: Mm-hm.

Olivia: How you feeling, honey? I heard you got roughed up a little bit.

Kate: What do you want, Olivia?

Olivia: Could you give us a second?

Maxie: Yes, I will send these faxes out.

Olivia: I don't know quite how to say this.

Kate: Sonny's marrying Claudia, isn't he?

Olivia: He's getting engaged as we speak.

Kate: Okay, don't. Don't. You know you would rather have him marry Claudia than me.

Olivia: Are you crazy?

Kate: What? I'm crazy? Now you can convince yourself that you still have a chance.

image

Claudia: Well, I'm liking the idea of this marriage more and more. Not only does it make sense from a business standpoint -- two for one. I get to save you from getting caught between the cousins from hell.

Sonny: You keep running your filthy mouth, there's not going to be a marriage.

Claudia: Oh.

Sonny: Kate and Olivia are off limits. I don't want you to insult them. I don't want you to call them any names. Just try to avoid them as much as possible. And if you can't, treat them with respect.

Claudia: That's fine for Olivia. I can't stand her, but at least she is who she says she is. I don't know that I can honestly fake any respect for Kate Howard. She's a fake and she's a snob and I'm saving you -- you should be grateful -- from a deadly dull marriage.

Sonny: Then hand over the ring and get out of here.

image

Elizabeth: Hi, Cameron. Here's a marshmallow. Go ahead and eat it. And here's a cracker for you, Mr. Jake. There you go.

Sam: I need you to do me a favor. You got to listen to your mommy because she's going to tell you a secret, okay?

Elizabeth: Okay, hey, listen. Sam and I are planning... a surprise for you guys out in the living room, okay?

Sam: Big one.

Elizabeth: So it's really important that you stay in this fort. I don't want you coming out at all, okay? You promise me? And I'm going to stay in here for as long as I can, all right?

[Footsteps]

Sam: I'll be right back.

[Loud noise]

Cameron: What is it, Mommy?

Elizabeth: I don't know -- shh. You know when I tickle your belly...

Elizabeth: Hey, Cameron, take care of your brother for a minute, okay? Okay, baby, I'll be right back. Stay in the fort.

Sam: It's me.

Elizabeth: What was that noise?

Sam: It's part of the surprise. [Muttering] Can I show you?

Elizabeth: Yeah. You guys stay in your fort. I'll be right back.

Cameron: Okay.

[Jake babbles]

Cameron: No, no, no, no, no.

Sam: So the shotgun was on the top shelf over there. I accidentally tipped over some stuff trying to get it. Do you think you could use this if you had to?

image

Diane: The next time you hypothetically carry out an armed assault on a rival gang, do you think you could possibly change your clothes before the police arrive to arrest you?

Jason: It's not exactly illegal to dress this way.

Diane: That's very true. But as you might have surmised, the PCPD is feeling rather ineffectual right now. Kelly's was a beloved institution. Your coffee house was a known mob hangout, although it sold world class espresso. The fact that both places were easily, almost casually destroyed does not sit well with anyone nor does the fact that the police commissioner's daughter was attacked. So the warehouse explosion looks like obvious and very dangerous retaliation and has everyone on edge. Let's put it simply. The police need a dumping ground for all their anger and frustration. And guess what? It's you.

Jason: Okay, you know, guess what? I don't care because I don't care about the politics. Just get me out of here. I have things to do.

Diane: If that is code for further retaliation, I'm going to strongly advise against it. You cannot afford to be associated with any more violence.

Jason: You know that I'm not going to be connected to that warehouse.

Diane: I have no doubt.

Jason: Well, I don't have time to sit here for 48 hours until the police admit that they have no evidence.

Diane: This might be a good sign. The D.A. just walked in. Let's hope I can get Alexis to listen to reason.
