Sonny: What's the deal with Olivia?

Patrick: She lost some blood. If she was at the hospital, I would have her hooked up to an I.V., but she's not in shock.

Sonny: Good.

Patrick: It was only a surface wound. I cleaned it and stitched it. She'll be fine.

Sonny: I appreciate what you have done -- finding Olivia, bringing her here like she wanted. But I think we've imposed on you enough. I got a private doctor who I'm going to call. He'll come here --

Patrick: No, Sonny, no. Olivia is my patient. I don't want anybody I don't know taking care of her.

Sonny: Good enough. How's fatherhood treating you?

Patrick: I'm getting the hang of it.

Sonny: And Robin?

Patrick: It's a process. She'll adjust. Look, I got to go. Is there any other questions you have?

Sonny: Yeah, actually, I just need your professional opinion. Do you think I should call Olivia's son and tell him that his mother's hurt?

Jax: What is the definition of insanity?

Carly: Two people who love each other and who happen to be married, and instead of finding reasons to stay together, they dream up reasons to get divorced.

Jax: No, I didn't dream up you and Sonny. I married you knowing that he would always be a part of your life. I just thought that his hold on you would weaken and mine would get stronger until one day he no longer mattered, but that day never came, and I have to accept that and move on.

Carly: Even though you love me? And you know that I love you and I always will love you, Jax.

Jax: Even though. I can't stay in this marriage. I can't keep doing the same thing over and over, hoping for a different outcome. You know, you're right, it's --

Carly: No.

Jax: It's time I took this off.

image

Patrick: It's not up to me to offer an opinion on how you deal with Olivia's family.

Sonny: No, I know that, but it's more about dealing with Olivia. I mean, I don't know if you know, but we go way back. She's always been the same mouthy, tough, master of her own universe, right or wrong. But she's like a cat. No matter how much pain she's in, she's not going to admit to it. One time she fell, right, on her ass, broke her elbow. Didn't go to the hospital. Went to work, father didn't even know, in enormous amount of pain.

Patrick: Unreasonably stubborn. I can identify that trait.

Sonny: What I'm trying to say is, you know, if she's in more pain than she's letting on, do I have to notify her son? Maybe she needs to be with her son. Maybe he needs to be with her. So are you telling me, professional opinion, she's fine?

Patrick: Olivia's fine. There's no medical pressing matter to alarm her family, but she was obviously a victim tonight, and now, maybe her son deserves to know that. Ultimately, it's Olivia's decision.

Sonny: Yeah, you're right. Thank you.

Patrick: Yeah.

Sonny: Patrick? Give my love to Robin.

Claudia: Oh, yes, please do. Let her know that we're married now, and we're accepting well wishes.

Mac: You're a big help. You didn't even say a word.

Robin: You know, it's not my place. Maxie decided that she wants to live on her own, and she's entitled.

Mac: Even if she finds trouble out there?

Robin: Even then. Besides, Maxie can find trouble if she lives here.

Mac: Whose side are you on?

Robin: You two will figure it out.

Maxie: I assume my ears should be burning.

Robin: Um, no.

Maxie: Well, are you going to try and talk some sense into me, too? Because you might as well just hurry up.

Robin: No. I got nothing to say.

Mac: Listen, you know, you don't have to leave in the middle of the night.

Maxie: No time like the present, right? Grab the bull by the horns and all that. I'll come back for the rest of my stuff when I figure out where I'm going.

Mac: You don't even know where you're going.

Maxie: Sure I do. Do you have the number for a cab company?

Mac: Maxie, take the car.

Maxie: You said I couldn't take the car.

Mac: I'm giving it back, okay? Just -- you can either argue or say "thank you."

Maxie: Thank you, Mac.

Mac: There's nothing I can do to change your mind?

Maxie: No, but don't take it personal or feel guilty about suggesting it. I think this is a good thing. I mean, you'll finally have your house to yourself. And even though Matt Hunter didn't turn out to be nearly as annoying as I thought he would, I think it's a good thing he got his own apartment and moved out. So, you'll be able to have your own house to yourself. I mean, has that ever even happened?

Mac: I'm not sure I know how to live alone.

Maxie: Well, maybe it's your time, too, to find out. Mac, I love you. And not to get mushy or anything, but I'm really grateful that I can call you my dad. I mean, you took us in -- me and Robin and Georgie. And I think I can speak for all of us when I say we had some pretty screwy families, but you gave us the ground under our feet and a foundation to work from and a place to call home. That means a lot to me.

Robin: Me, too.

Mac: Listen, despite what I might think or what anyone else might say, you go out there, all right? Claim your life and ride it for all it's worth. Have that fashion career you so desperately want and have Spinelli if you must. But you go out there Maxie, okay? Just be the best you can be, and I know you will. You'll dazzle the world.

Maxie: Now you're going to make me cry. So I'm going to go before that happens, and I'll let you know where I stay, okay? Bye.

Robin: Bye.

Mac: Oh, boy. I have no idea how quiet this house is going to be.

Robin: I know it's hard, but it's for the best.

Mac: Emma's just a baby. I can't wait to hear the song you're going to be singing when she's walking out the front door, hitching her wagon to some junior mobster.

[Robin laughs]

Robin: Well, thank you very much for that picture.

Jason: You okay?

Sam: Yeah, I'm okay. I just think that jump from the window sort of made my hip flare up a little bit. It's good, though. I just think I need to get home and rest a little bit. Wow, I'm glad to be alive. I'm glad Jake is safe. I mean, you think he's okay, right? I mean, he didn't seem like he was upset or anything. No, I mean, in fact, he seemed to be calm and steady. Kind of like you.

Jason: I don't want Jake to be like me. I hope he doesn't even remember who I am.

image

Mac: I don't know if you heard the good news, but Jake Spencer turned up in a roadhouse shootout.

Robin: Is he all right?

Mac: Jason saved another day. I have to go in. Thank God for work, the great distraction.

Robin: Well, using work as a distraction is permissible, but I'm going to keep my eye on you. And if you start to take it too far, I'll have to intervene.

Mac: Fair enough. All right. See you later.

Robin: Bye.

Mac: Oh, hey. It's late for Robin and Emma, so get them home.

Patrick: Yes, sir. Is she still asleep?

Robin: Yeah, she's upstairs.

Patrick: Lovely. And why are you out and about?

Robin: Well, I could ask you the same thing. I sent you to Elizabeth's with a toy for Cam, and you disappear for hours.

Patrick: Yes, but it's been a long, crazy night filled with childcare and a rescue of a damsel in distress.

Robin: Oh, really? Who might that be?

Patrick: Olivia Falconeri.

Robin: Ah, was there a reward involved?

Patrick: You can't be serious.

Robin: Well, I seem to remember women being relentlessly attracted to you.

Patrick: You see, I don't even see other women anymore. No, I don't. You are the only one that I care about.

Robin: Really?

Patrick: Yes.

Sonny: Why are you so bent out of shape?

Claudia: I don't like her staying here.

Sonny: She's an old friend of mine. She's hurt. It's a big house.

Claudia: I'm sorry, you heard Patrick say that there's nothing really wrong with her?

Sonny: She was stabbed.

Claudia: Welcome to the club. She's fine. She's not dying, Sonny. She's milking this to get to you, and I think the cousin still carries a torch for you.

Sonny: Well, you know what? Shows you how much you know. Olivia wouldn't touch me with a 10-foot pole, and you know what? She's not the kind of woman who changes her mind. Not that it would matter.

Claudia: What?

Sonny: What?

Claudia: What? Finish.

Sonny: I just did.

Claudia: No, now is the part where you're supposed to say "it wouldn't matter how I feel about Olivia, because I'm married to you."

[Sonny chuckles]

Sonny: I like that, yeah. What does our marriage have to do with anything?

Claudia: That's nice. That's nice.

Sonny: Okay, now let's not get all territorial. I told you that I would respect you, and I will, but this has nothing to do with love. It was not part of the deal. I'm not free to love you, Olivia, or anyone else. I'm still in love with Kate. That's it. End of story.

image

Sam: You know, what you said to Elizabeth and Lucky, that I saved Jake. Jason, you're not giving yourself enough credit. You're actually not giving yourself credit at all. You're the one that found him. You are the one that risked your life to create a diversion. All I did was go in to get --

Jason: I'm also the one who set off the explosion that nearly killed Jake. It's not the first time I've put Jake in danger, but I swear it is the last.

image

Carly: I miss you so much. You know, I'm beginning to think that you were the key to my luck and happiness. It's just been a little scarce since you've been gone.

[Carly sighs]

Carly: I don't know, maybe Jax and I were wrong for each other from the start. I don't know any man who would be okay with coming in second to Sonny. I don't know if it's possible for me to be with anyone. A part of me, I mean, not from a love place, but, you know, from my heart. And I know that sounds like a big contradiction, but it's not. I mean, I am 100% available. My heart is 100% available. There's just a small little place that belongs to Sonny, and Jax wanted me to get rid of that and I tried. I really did. I just -- I can't. You know, I just can't. It's like this bond and it's permanent. And I could tell Jax that it's broken, but that would be a lie.

[Carly sighs]

Carly: And if Jax and I are over, I want us to be over because of the truth. Wow, that sounds awful mature of me, doesn't it? Maybe Mommy's finally growing up. Or maybe she's just a complete fool.

image

Claudia: How about if we tack a new amendment onto our deal?

Sonny: Like what?

Claudia: I will try not to speak disrespectfully about Kate if you will try not to throw her in my face.

Sonny: Well, that's still kind of territorial. Now, you just can't help yourself. That's the problem that we have right now, isn't it? What are you doing?

Olivia: What? What, Sonny? I'm not made of glass. I'm sure I can get my butt into a sofa.

Sonny: Can I get you anything?

Olivia: You can stop fussing over me. You're making me nervous.

Sonny: Sit down.

Claudia: I'm sorry, aren't you supposed to be in bed?

Olivia: I couldn't sleep. I thought I'd come down and spend a little quality time with the happy newlyweds. I mean, unless I'm interrupting something.

Claudia: Yes, as a matter of fact --

Sonny: You're not interrupting. Listen to me, okay? Whoever did that to you, I'm going to take care of it.

Claudia: Oh, give me -- you know what? Come on.

Sonny: What?

Claudia: What, you're going to invite more trouble with the Russians because Olivia here had to eavesdrop and get caught?

Sonny: I don't want to hear it.

Claudia: If she had been minding her own business --

Olivia: Sonny, it's all right. I actually agree with Claudia on this. I don't want you getting into any trouble on my account, okay? You've obviously got enough on your plate already.

Lucky: "And the whole family, Mommy and Daddy and Andy and Tommy, knew they were home when they walked in the door. The End."

Elizabeth: What a great story. Did you like it?

Cameron: I like it.

Lucky: Yeah? Me, too.

Elizabeth: Oh, good. You know what I like even more? This, right here, the four of us sitting on this couch in the middle of an ordinary nightly routine.

Lucky: Yeah. Hear, hear.

Elizabeth: This is what life is all about.

Lucky: Here's your book.

Singer: All I think about is me and you will you be mine today

Jason: I just need to thank you for saving Jake.

Sam: I owed Jake, and I owed you and Elizabeth.

Jason: That's done now.

Sam: Well, thanks for the ride.

Singer: Will you be mine today will you be mine tomorrow
