Liasonite Domenica
Johnny: I am sorry your father was arrested.
Lucky: Yeah, yeah, yeah, your heart is bleeding.
Johnny: Ok, I don't have time to convince you, I have to go find my sister. For what it's worth I have nothing to do with your arrest.
Luke: I accept that.
Lucky: Do you believe this guy?
Luke: Yeah, I do. I got caught in the crossfire of your family fall-out. I want you to make sure that the same thing doesn't happen to my daughter.
Johnny: Always done my best to look after Lulu, that won't change.
Luke: Ok, what's going on here, what is this, some kind of intervention?
Lulu: Oh, yeah, I think we know better by now.
Lucky: Yeah, I called Lulu over here so she could say her good-byes.
Luke: Well, that was very un-police academy of you.
Lucky: You know you used to tell me not to look the gift horse in the mouth? I think now would be a good time to take your own advice.
Lulu: So, Lucky's right? You're leaving.
Luke: Alexis has practically bought me an airline ticket. You know, I hate jumpsuits, and prison orange is not really my color. So I thought I better disappear just so I can clear my name.
Lulu: Well, I hate when this happens. It always does so I'm not going to make it difficult. I love you.
Luke: I love you, too, cupcake. Lulu: Hmm… just promise me that you'll be safe.
Luke: I promise.
Lulu: Ok, that means no binge drinking, no cigars, no -
Luke: Oh. Oh. Wait. It's kinda of scary. All of a sudden, I can't hear you.
Lulu: Yeah, yeah.
Luke: I can't hear.
Lulu: Ok, I just want you to come back in one piece. So call us to let us know that you're safe.
Luke: Yes, I'll do that as soon as I can. But, remember, until you hear from me, no news is good news.
Lulu: Hmm. Okay. I'll see you later.
Luke: I love you.
Lulu: Love you.
Luke: Now you be safe.
Lulu: I will.
Luke: Okay, lay it on me. Give me the "I told you so's."
Lucky: All I want to say is that I'm going to miss you. We'll leave it at that.
Luke: Big lug.
Cassius: Hey, doc, I hate to break up the monkey business but, I need the wheelchair.
[Robin laughs]
Patrick: Yeah.
Robin: I'm so sorry.
Patrick: Sorry for what?
Robin: For dragging you into a situation you never wanted to be a part of.
Patrick: You didn't drag me into anything. We made this baby together. Robin: By accident.
Patrick: Still, he or she is in their ready to make appearance and I'm going to be a father whether I'm prepared or not. I just - I don't want to screw it up.
Robin: I'm not worried. Okay, I am cautiously optimistic.
Patrick: Okay, then I will be, too. Listen, I got rounds so I'm gonna-
Robin: Wait, wait, what about this guy?
Patrick: Ok, well, I can put him in your car or I can take him back.
Robin: No, no, please don't do that.
Patrick: Ok, well, he's doing rounds with me then. Come on, buddy. I can use the practice. How do I look?
Robin: Great.
Patrick: Okay.
Jason: Okay, Carly, just -- you have got to try and remember that Sonny loves his kids. He's always wanted what's best for them.
Carly: Then he should be able to understand we need to protect the son he has left.
Jason: Think it's easy to give up a child? You can't just say it's for the best and walk away. Even when you know you should. You came here to hear what I think. Do you want to hear what I think?
Carly: Yes, I do.
Jason: I think if you stay rational, you keep explaining your position until Sonny can hear you; you might have a chance of him coming around seeing things your way, but if you go at him, you get him defensive, he's not going to hear anything and you're going to start a fight and nobody is going to win.
Carly: I love you, with all my heart.
Nikolas: Are you insinuating that I bear some kind of guilt by association over what happened with Michael? Just because I know Ian, I am somehow gullible.
Claudia: No, of course not. I am just -- I'm not saying that at all. I'm just wondering why you are so defensive suddenly.
Nikolas: You probably already know this, but I paid Ian $10 million to gain access to an experimental drug that is illegal in this country. He obliviously used that $10 million to finance a drug shipment that he wanted you to land. So if you connect those two damning dots, my money helped put Michael in that coma. So, hey, I guess I'm guilty, too.
[Knocking on door/ thundering]
Robin: Jason, its Robin.
[Knocking]
Jason: Hey, come. Come on in.
Robin: Is everything ok? I though I heard something.
Jason: No, it's nothing. What can I do for you?
Robin: That's the first thing you always ask. Um, I actually brought you something. I assumed you left this for Michael?
Jason: Yeah, um, I was in the lobby and I saw it in a gift shop.
Robin: I took one look and new that it came from you.
Jason: I should have listened to you.
Jerry: Hello, darling.
Alexis: Why is it that you always appear out of nowhere?
Jerry: I come bearing gifts, chocolate filled truffles that I fought wind and rain to deliver personally.
Alexis: The truffles can stay.
Jerry: Oh, come on. You're not banishing me so quickly, are you?
Alexis: This is my office, this is where I work. I'm probably very busy.
Jerry: Look, I've missed you.
Alexis: You so lonely. Why don't you call Claudia?
Claudia: If you wanted just a little bit of advice, lose the guilt. It's a useless emotion. I mean, what you did wasn't premeditative. It wasn't even unusual, really. People with money and power, they use it all to get want they want all the time, and why shouldn't they? I mean, look, we could all backtrack every single action we ever made, if we wanted to. I'm sure, I guarantee, that we could find our place in the chain of circumstances that lead to somebody's misfortunes somewhere.
Nikolas: I'm sorry, but that was some of the most fascinating philosophical insight into perils of being rich I have ever heard. Thank you, I feel so much better.
Claudia: I just -- look, all I'm saying is that you had a legitimate reason to business with Ian. It's not like you were trying to get rich or high.
Nikolas: Well, that's just great. I'm off the hook. Are you trying to make excuses for me hoping that I will return the favor?
Claudia: No, I wanted Sonny dead. I told you. I hired Ian to kill him. What I never meant to happen was for a little boy to end up getting shot in the head. Just like you never meant for your money to go to Devlin and for him play Dr. Drug lord.
Nickolas: It doesn't matter. We all had our part in destroying that kid's life.
Claudia: Well, look, maybe Michael's going to wake up.
Nikolas: In what five, ten years? Come on, that kid was robbed. Don't you think that we should pay for that in some way?
Johnny: Her name is Claudia Zacchara; she's about 5'5" with long black hair. Thanks. Careful, the walls have ears. Look, I had nothing to do with your father's arrest, you have to believe me.
Lulu: Do you think it was Claudia who set him up?
Johnny: She had no reason to.
Lulu: Well, that leaves your father, and why would he want to lose the only leverage he has over me?
Johnny: I was with him earlier today; he didn't mention a thing about your father.
Lulu: Would he?
Johnny: I honestly don't know.
Lulu: Okay, so now what? Or only reason to be together is gone. Am I supposed to pretend to break up with you?
Luke: So, you found me.
Tracy: It wasn't very hard. Criminals always return to the scene of the crime. Would you have looked for me if I hadn't?
Luke: What do you think?
Tracy: I think I don't want to know. I brought you some cash.
Luke: Oh, thank you, but there's no need for that.
Tracy: Why? What have you done?
Luke: Uh.
Tracy: Oh, my.
Luke: Isn't it lovely?
Tracy: Is that the -
Luke: The car money, liberated. You know, there's more than enough here for a traveling companion.
Tracy: I should have known. And is the lovely, limber Anna Devane is your adventure bunny of choice?
Luke: Hell no. My traveling companion of choice is you.
Luke: Come on Spankey. Let's do it. It will be the ride of our lives.
Tracy: Just pick up and go?
Luke: Just pick up and go. What- What this is my answer?
Tracy: [giggles] Are you going to stand there looking stupid or are we going to get the hell out of dodge? Let's go.
Luke: Yes!
Johnny: This might be a good time for you to get away.
Lulu: Away, where?
Johnny: Pick a place.
Lulu: Port Charles. I wanna be near you, Johnny. Unless you --
Johnny: I do, more than you know.
Lulu: Okay, so then we'll make it work. I'll go to your father and I'll pretend to -I'll pretend to work you for him.
Johnny: Look, we're not going to figure this out right now. My sister's missing; I've got to go find her.
Lulu: I think you under estimate your sister. Claudia strikes me as the woman who can talk her way out of just about anything.
Johnny: If she's alive to do it.
Jerry: Why would you throw Claudia Zacchara in my face?
Alexis: I thought you liked her.
Jerry: Oh, come on, I kissed Claudia because I saw you coming and I though it would be fun to make you jealous. Apparently, I succeeded.
Alexis: Get your hands off my truffles.
Jerry: Oh, come on. Give me a truffle.
Alexis: These truffles belong to me.
Jerry: Oh, yeah, right. You reject me, but you keep the truffles.
Alexis: They're mine and I don't like to share.
Claudia: I pay for what I did to Michael with a little piece of my soul every single time that I think of him. Maybe that's not as much as I deserve -- definitely. But, it hurts a lot, trust me. I don't want my brother to go down for this, to be drag down with me.
Nickolas: That's a convenient spin. Spare your brother, you spare yourself as well.
Claudia: You can throw me right back into the harbor right now. I'm dead serious. Or I'll -I'll save you the trouble, I'll dive in myself.
Nikolas: You'll die for your brother's life. You would?
Claudia: In a heartbeat, yeah. What would you do for yours?
Alfred: Mr. Cassadine, the phone lines are working again.
Nikolas: Would you like to go to the hospital?
Claudia: I think I'm fine. What do you think?
Nikolas: I think you are going to be okay too. Thank you, Alfred, but I won't be needing to make any of those phone calls.
Alfred: Very good, sir.
Jason: You tried to warn me years ago. Choose violence and it takes over your life, no one you love is ever safe and you were right.
Robin: You didn't even remember your childhood. You had no frame of reference so how could you know what was best for Michael? No one could have predicted something this unthinkable happening to him.
Jason: I could of listen to you and to Monica, you know?
Robin: Well, listen to me now. You gave Michael the most important thing that a parent can give to a child, and that is unconditional love and a sense of self-worth. That's not small. So, while you're sitting here beating yourself up about everything you did wrong, try to balance that. with remembering what you did right.
Carly: Jax?
Jax's voice: Dearest Carly, don't worry about me. I need to go away and figure out, what comes next, for me and for us. I love you.
>> On the next "general hospital" >>
Maxie: It is about time that I take something else away from Lulu.
Sonny: I can keep Morgan and keep him safe.
Kelly: You are already the latest internet craze.
Coleman: Action.
Patrick: I am going to be a father.
May 22, 2008 06:20
[Moaning- Claudia]
[Doorbell]
Carly: Jax isn't here.
Kate: I'm actually here to see you, Carly.
Carly: I'm not really interested in anything you have to say.
Kate: Sonny can't bear to lose another child. I'm here to ask you to drop your plans of taking Morgan away from his father.
Sonny: I don't want to hear excuses, Diane. Can you take care of this or not?
Diane: What you are asking me to do is technically legal. It is also extremely ill advised.
Sonny: No matter how hard this is, I am not going to let Carly take away my children. I'm going to make my own plans for their future.
[laughing- Kelly & Robin]
Kelly: Than one of my other patients called that same afternoon to tell me about it.
Robin: I just started the blog a week ago.
Kelly: I know, and you are already the latest must-see internet craze. [Robin laughs] Four of my patients now consider themselves your biggest fans, you know that, right?
Robin: Stop it.
Kelly: Yeah.
Robin: I do not have fans.
Kelly: You totally do.
Robin: No.
Kelly: Mrs. Selman told me that it's like you're reading her mind, speaking for all pregnant women when they talk about, uh, the miseries of carry a child.
[Robin giggles]
Patrick: Ok, wait a minute. Miseries? In know you has little problem with the morning sickness, but I didn't think you hated being pregnant this much.
Robin: I don't. That wasn't what I was saying at all.
[Phone is ringing]
Maxie: "Crimson," please hold. --- "Crimson," please hold. "Crimson," thank you for holding, this is Maxie, how can I help you? Oh, Clarisse, thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I need the revised numbers, because Kate wants to look over them before the conference call, but Lulu didn't bother to show up for work this morning I have no idea where she put them. Do you have an extra copy?
Spinelli: Greetings, Maximista. The Jackal was hoping them to me?
Maxie: You think you can e-mail them to me? You would really be saving my life. Oh, perfect. Thank you. The least I can do is call Federico and see if he could put you on the guest list for that new hot club in SoHo. Of course he would. Any friend of mine is a friend of Federico. Thank you so much. Bye.
Spinelli: The jackal means no disrespect. However, he feels it's his duty to inform Maximista that she is wasted on this high fashion huckster -
[Phone rings]
Maxie: Federico, I was just talking about you. That's so crazy.
Johnny: Where' Lulu?
Maxie :Hold on one second. I haven't seen Lulu all morning, but if she's not with you, that must mean she found some other guy to chase around.
Thug: Wait here. I'll go find Mr. Zacchara for you.
Lulu: Johnny, hey. I know we're supposed to meet up, but there's something I decide to take care of first. So, I will call you when I'm done.
Anthony: Why did you tip off the feds last night? You should know better than making a move like that without my consent.
Trevor: It's all in here. Spencer was costing us money, and he wasn't to be trusted.
Anthony: I need him! To keep Lulu with Johnny.
Trevor: Lulu is not going to keep your son in line, but Claudia will because Johnny will do anything to save her life.
Anthony: Lulu is a hell of a lot easier to control than my daughter, especially when Luke Spencer's freedom was at stake, but you had to go mess that up. You better pray that this girl sticks with Johnny anyway.
Lulu: You had my father arrested, so if you think I'm going to stay with Johnny, you can forget it.
Carly: Michael wouldn't have gotten shot if you hadn't taken him to the warehouse. He wouldn't be lying in a hospital bed right now, unable to move or speak if Sonny hadn't pushed you out of the way instead of Michael, so don't come in my house and tell me what's best for my children when you started this whole nightmare to begin with.
Kate: You want to hate me, Carly. Okay, that's fine. But don't punish Sonny by taking away his child. Morgan needs his father.
Carly: Morgan needs to be safe, Kate. Safe and loved, and that can't happen with Sonny.
Kate: But, Carly, you knew the dangers, and you chose to marry Sonny. You chose to have him adopt Michael. You chose to get pregnant and have Morgan, and those things cannot be changed.
Carly: No, they can't. Maybe they can't , okay. But, I can't let that happen to Morgan. Michael's paying for my mistake and I have to do better for Morgan.
Kate: Morgan is as much Sonny's as he is yours, right? So, can you find a way-can you find a way to stop all this fighting and come to some sort of understanding for Morgan's best interest?
Sonny: Giving up my rights to Michael and Morgan isn't going to keep them safe. The whole already knows that they're my children, so I don't understand what everybody -
Diane: I understand that. I understand that. Listen to me. Try to see this from Carly's perspective. She's just had to put her oldest son in a permanent care facility. She's acting out of grief. She's not thinking clearly. Frankly, neither are you. Now as your attorney, it is my advise that you reframe from any drastic measures. Give yourself some time to grieve, to process what has happened.
Sonny: You're my attorney, right?
Diane: Mm-hmm.
Sonny: You're not my shrink. Just -- you get paid to do what I tell you to do, Diane.
Diane: As your attorney I am paid to advise you, to warn you of any potentially negative consequences of your actions. Now if you proceed with this -
Sonny: I don't need a lecture right now. Please, Diane, draw up the damn papers.
Diane: Will do, as long as I am clear that you understand exactly what it is that you are asking me to do, because once I set this in motion, there is no going back.
Nickolas: Are sure you want to do this?
Nadine: I'm here, aren't I?
Nikolas: If -- if I pressured you in any way, I apologize. It's just I thought I could handle the situation. She needs more help than I'm able to give her.
Nadine: Then why are we still standing here? Thank you.
Claudia: Who are you?
Nadine: Nadine Crowell.
Nikolas: She's here to help you.
Nadine: I'm a nurse at General Hospital.
Claudia: Well, I'm fine. I don't -- I mean, it's just a flesh wound. You really didn't have to come all the way down here.
Nadine: Well, as long as I'm here, might as well take a look. Let me see. How did this happen?
Claudia: I'm accident prone.
Nadine: The wound is pretty deep. Good news is that you started to clot.
Claudia: What's the bad news?
Nadine: Someone tried to kill you.
Claudia: Look, I don't know how much Nik told you. No one else can know I'm here, okay?
Nadine: I promised Nikolas that I wouldn't say anything and I won't.
Maxie: You're welcome to wait, but Lulu comes in late almost every morning when she bothers to come in at all. The only reason she took this job was to piss me off. She clearly has no interest in fashion or the fact that Kate needs some figures pulled for a conference call that happens to be in less than an hour.
Johnny: I just got a message from Lulu, and I have a pretty good idea where she is. If you could cover for her, I'd really appreciate it.
Maxie: I would love to help you with anything you need, but I think what's best for everyone is that Kate just fire Lulu and put her out of her misery.
Johnny: Your misery?
Spinelli: Despite the extensive friction between the clashing blond ones, um, the Jackal is most confident that Maximista's kind, yet will hidden soul, will move her to cover for fair Lulu in this, her hour of need.
Maxie: What about my needs? Why should I do all the work and get nothing in return?
Johnny: If you cover for Lulu, I'll owe you a favor, any time, no questions asked.
Maxie: I think you got yourself a deal.
Spinelli: The Jackal is most confused. I thought -- if Maximista is so enamored with the debonair designer, why is she so flirtatious with the mob prince?
Maxie: Because Johnny is smoking hot, not to mention insanely rich, and I think that, yeah, it is about time that I take something else away Lulu.
Lulu: I did everything you asked. I made Johnny happy, pretended to love him, all to keep my dad out of prison, but you decide to go to the cops anyway. So, you're going to have to find somebody else to work your son. I'm done.
Trevor: It probably will best for lulu -
Anthony: Shh! You may want to rethink that.
Lulu: Really? What part of I'm done don't you understand?
Anthony: Girlie, you don't come into my house and tell me what's going on. I make the rules. You don't follow them your family pays the price.
Lulu: Well, my dad's already skipped out of town, so there's nothing else you can do to him.
Anthony: You will stay with my son. You will convince Johnny that you love him, and you will keep him happy. And, if you don't I will see to it that your brother the cop dies. Maybe in the line of duty because then he could be buried with all the bells and whistles, the flag over the casket and the speeches by the commissioner and the mayor and a 21-gun salute. Salute. It would be a funeral for a real hero.
Lulu: Don't you dare hurt Lucky.
Anthony: You hurt Johnny and I'll have to. Are we clear?
Trevor: She's just like her father, unpredictable. Why are you giving yourself a headache? Take her out now.
Anthony: It's too late. Johnny's already attached. Whatever, my son wants he gets. Until I decide different, not you.
Carly: I don't want Morgan anywhere near his father. When one of sonny's enemies tries to take him out, Kate.
Kate: You know, Carly I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt. I told myself that you were in shock and you were grieving and you needed time, but it's becoming more and more apparent. It's not about what's in Morgan's best interest. You blame Sonny and you want to punish him.
Carly: Why would I want to punish him? What's that going to do? Is it going to bring Michael back. He's still going to be in a coma, trapped in his body, unable to get out, Kate. So.
Kate: And, Sonny is grieving the same way you are Carly. What I don't understand is why you would want to add to that by taking away his other son.
Carly: Ok, all right, I get that it's breaking your heart to see Sonny all torn up, but I think you concern is misplaced. Because once Sonny's done crying going to change, he will go back to business as usual, and when he does, he's not going to want one reminder of the night Michael was shot. You will be replaced by another woman. I don't really care. I don't give a damn about what Sonny does with his life or who he chooses to share it with as long as Morgan isn't a part of it. Get the hell out of my house.
Diane: Sonny, you need to take some time and think about this. Consider all your options before you rush headlong into anything.
Sonny: I know what I'm doing.
Diane: Well, I hope so because once the paperwork is filed, you won't be able to change your mind.
Sonny: We cannot go back to the way things were, Diane. Not after what happened to Michael. Giving up Morgan is not going to keep him safe. My enemies already know that he's my child. It's going to -- he -- he's going to be confused and he's going feel abandoned. He's too young to understand why Michael had to go away. If I disappear now, right? He's going to think that he did something wrong. I don't want my little boy thinking any of this was his fault.
Diane: Okay. Here's a novel thought. Why don't you try telling all of this to Carly before you rush into an irrevocable legal action?
Sonny: Diane. Do you not think that I've already tried talking to Carly? She doesn't listen. She's too angry. I got to do what I think is right.
Diane: But you seem convinced that this is the only way to keep your family safe. Have you even considered the impact this decision will have on your life?
Robin: When I first found out that I was pregnant I had no idea what to expect. I -I just knew that all of a sudden, my body wasn't mine anymore. There was this little being inside dictating everything that I did, what to eat, when to pee, and I started this blog as a way to reach out to other mothers. To share my own experiences, but also get some advice on how to deal with my pregnancy.
Kelly: All of my patients who have watched love that Robin just tells it like it is. You know, all the -- all the little frustrations, the big ones, including you.
Robin: Well, your patients must be browsing another blog or misunderstanding mine because so far, my experience has been all inspiring and positive, for the most part. If I mentioned you at all, it was just in passing, as in, "my baby's father, yada, yada, yada."
Epiphany: Dr. Scorpio, the lab has some questions about blood work that you ordered.
Patrick: Hey, what's Robin saying about me?
Kelly: Oh, no, no, trust me.
Nikolas: How is she?
Nadine: There's no sign of infection. She could still use some stitches, though..
Claudia: She's sitting right here. Am I going to make it without them?
Nadine: As long as you stay off your feet and get plenty of rest.
Nikolas: What about, like, antibiotics or -
Nadine: Of course it's can't get a prescription without seeing a doctor.
Claudia: That's not an option.
Nadine: So your best case is to keep it clean an move around too much. So no tossing or turning or bouncing.
Claudia: Bouncing?
Nadine: Just don't do anything that will aggravate the wound.
Nikolas: Thank you.
Nadine: Glad I could help.
Claudia: You know, you could help a lot more if you forgot that you ever saw me here.
Nikolas: She's given me her word. You can trust her, okay. I trust her. Nadine, I'll see you out.
Nadine: Is this your ring? The one you shared with Emily?
[Knock on door]
Spinelli: Greetings, um, the Jackal received your most urgent message and has responded post haste, but it's -- it's still uncertain as to what the nature of your distress is.
Carly: Look, I need to find Jax as soon as possible. It's -- it's an emergency.
Spinelli: Does the Valkyrie believe that her white knight was abducted by unidentified beings of darkness? If so, Stone Cold should be alerted immediately.
Carly: No, no -- no, Jax is gone because of me. Because I wanted to go alone with Sonny to Michael to Manhattan, and Jax offered to follow, but I wouldn't let him, which is totally stupid, and I don't know why I thought for one minute that Sonny would be reasonable and unselfish and sign his rights to Morgan away. I mean, I should have known this was going to happen.
Spinelli: I'm sorry that your white knight in Aussie armor would get up lose-- his bearings on the way back from Michael's new facility?
Carly: No, he never went. That's the problem. He wanted to go, but I told him no, and I pushed him away, and now he thinks I don't need him, which is untrue, because right now I need him more than ever.
Diane: If you go through with this decision, it's going to affect a heck of a lot more than just your relationship with Carly. You will have to make some fundamental changes in the way you live your life.
Sonny: Enough with the warning, Diane. Just draw up the papers, thank you.
Diane: Fine. I'll have a draft ready for your approval tomorrow.
Max: Uh, boss has been in a terrible mood all morning. I hope he didn't come down too hard on you.
Diane: Well, your concern is very sweet, Max, but I am more than capable of handling Sonny and his dreadful temper. Heaven knows I've had enough practice lately with him appointing himself keeper of my personal life and dictating who and what I'm allowed to do. If I want to see you, I'm going to.
Max: Well, I don't care what the boss says. If I want to see you. I'm gonna.
Diane: Well, I'm very glad to hear that. It would be a shame to let Sonny ruin all of our fun.
Max: You know you were right, Ms. Miller. It was time for me to man up.
Diane: I'm so glad to hear that, Max.
Max: You want to get away with me this weekend? What do you think?
Max. Can I help you?
Johnny: I need to speak with sonny.
Max: Hey, boss, Johnny Zacchara's here to see you.
Sonny: Let him in.
Max: Come on in.
Sonny: What do you want?
Johnny: My sister's been missing since last night.
Sonny: Is this where you try to kill me again?
May 22, 2008 07:44
Patrick :Robin is saying things about me on the internet. I have a right to know. So, just -- what's the link?
Kelly: This is a really bad idea.
Patrick: Dr. Lee, just put the blog up. I want to see it for myself.
Kelly: Fine. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Patrick: Okay
Kelly: Fine.
[Computer beeps]
Robin: Hi, it's me, Robin. Welcome back. For those of you who are stumbling across my blog for the first time allow me to explain. I am currently in my second trimester and I am on the verge of a nervous breakdown. I mean, don't get me wrong, I knew that pregnancy was going to be very difficult. But, beside my swollen ankles and my aching back and let not forget the morning sickness -- what's more difficult is dealing with the father of my child, right? I mean, while some men embrace fatherhood and they build cribs and paint the nursery. The father of my child is so worried that being a daddy is going to cramp his style so he reverts back to adolescence periodically. As if some how acting like a teenager is going to change the fact that there is a baby coming.
Patrick: Hey, what are you doing?
Kelly: No. You'll thank me later. It only gets worse.
Patrick: Page Dr. Scorpio stat.
Robin: What's the emergency?
Patrick: You. You are the emergency, trashing me on the internet.
Robin: What are you talking about?
Patrick: Robin, I saw the blog. You're using this to paint me as an uncaring, selfish jerk. Now every pregnant woman in the world is going to be hunting me down with knives and pitchforks.
Robin: Don't you think you're overreacting just a little bit?
Patrick: Ok -- ok, we'll see how you react when it happens to you.
Diane: So, this weekend getaway that you mentioned. What do you have in mind?
Max: Well, my buddy's got a cabin up in Grottsville. I mean he fixed it up real nice. It has an outdoor sink and everything. You know, so you can clean the fish before you cook 'em. Well, you know, not that you'd want to go fishing. It was just an idea. It was a stupid one. I'm sorry.
[Diane giggles]
Diane: Don't be sorry. I would love to savor the bucolic pleasure of fishing with you. Or even just a weekend alone with you. When do we leave?
Sonny: I didn't have Claudia last time you thought I did. What makes you think I have her now?
Johnny: No one's seen her since last night.
Sonny: Why is that my problem.
Johnny: If I find out you had anything to do with hurting my sister...
Johnny: Yeah.
Claudia: John? It's me.
Johnny: Where are you?
Claudia: Um, well. I'm fine. I just wanted to call and let you know that I was ok and that you don't have to worry, ok?
Johnny: What happened?
Claudia: I will tell you about it later. Um, I just didn't want you to worry and I wanted to let you know that I love you.
Johnny: Goes both ways.
Sonny: Did you find your sister?
Johnny: Lucky for you, she's ok.
Sonny: Your family is going to be somebody else's problem to solve now.
Carly: How long is it going to take?
Spinelli: The Jackal is accessing the white knight's accounts as we speak. Looking for any expenditures that can pinpoint his location or at least ascertain his chosen path of flight. Um, while we're waiting for the required data to be collected. Might the Jackal ask a question?
Carly: What do you want to know?
Spinelli: What did the Valkyrie mean by "Mr. Sir signing over little Morgan?"
Carly: I asked Sonny to give up his paternal rights to Michael and Morgan, and Jax had the papers drawn up before we Michael in the permanent care facility.
Spinelli: Is the Valkyrie pursing this painful objective to gratify her hard-to-find husband?
Carly: No. No. It was Jax's idea, but it was my decision to pursue it. Sonny's life is dangerous. I -- I don't want Morgan around him.
Spinelli: Um. Mr. Sir's reluctance is understandable.
Carly: Yeah, well Michael was shot because he was standing next to Sonny. And I can't lose Morgan.
Spinelli: Success! Um, it appears that your White knight is on a sojourn to Rome.
Carly: Jax is in Italy?
Spinelli: Yeah -- yeah, his private jet landed about two hours ago. He sought lodging near the Palazzo del a Republica. I mean, I can find an exact address, if you'd like?
Carly: No -- no, don't bother. There's only one person he could be visiting in Rome. I'm not going to drag him back if he doesn't want to come home.
[Classical instrumental music playing]
Claudia: Ouch. Where's Nurse Betty?
Nikolas: She had to get back the hospital.
Claudia: Yeah? Couldn't wait to tell her friends, huh?
Nikolas: No, she will never breathe a word about you staying here.
Claudia: Are you sure? She didn't seem very happy about it.
Nikolas: Nadine has proven herself a trustworthy friend. If she makes a promise it's well kept.
Claudia: She wants to be a lot more than friends with you. Trust me.
Nikolas: She knows I'm still grieving over my fiancée.
Claudia: Yeah. Well, once you've had time to grieve, nurse Nadine is going to be the first in line to mend your broken heart.
Nikolas: She also knows that I will never love anyone but Emily.
Claudia: Never?
Nikolas: Never.
Claudia: Never is a long time. I mean, a guy like you must get lonely.
Nikolas: Look, you don't know me, Claudia. You don't know what I felt for her, or that the life that we had was ripped away from us.
Johnny: Are you ok?
Lulu: Yeah, I'm fine. What about Claudia? Have you heard from her?
Johnny: Yeah, she's someplace safe.
Lulu: She is? Ok, good. I know that you .
Johnny: I'm worried about you, too.
Johnny: I got your message. I figured you came here to see my father.
Lulu: I thought I had to tell him something or he would be suspicious so I thought told him it was over that it would buy us some time.
Johnny: Ok, just remember, he needs you as leverage. He's not going to let you get off that easily. What's he threatening you with this time?
Lulu: Said if I didn't make you happy that my brother would die in the line of duty.
Johnny: I'm not going to let that happened, ok? As long as we're together, it's going to be fine. My father has to believe that this was his idea was his idea. Otherwise, you or your family could get hurt.
Lulu: Yeah, but Lucky. I'm not going to let anything happen to him.
Johnny: It won't. I just have to get enough evidence to gladly turn my father in and testify against him.
Lulu: Then we'll both be free.
Kate: Have you heard from Gisele
Maxie: She is stuck in another meeting and needs to push the meeting for another hour.
Kate: Oh, great. It doesn't matter whether it's convenient for me.
Maxie: Well, I could reschedule.
Kate: No, no. . . . I want to get over with. I'll use the time to prepare for it. Where's lulu?
Maxie: She's running errands.
Kate: And the numbers I asked for?
Maxie: I printed them out this morning along with copies of the production schedule and advertising budget.
Kate: Very responsible. Thank you, Maxie.
[Elevator door opens]
Diane: Hello friend.
Kate: Hello friend.
Diane: Do you have a moment?
Kate: Of course. Buzz me when Giselle finally gets around to calling. [Diane laughs] After you.
Diane: Thank you.
Kate: So, what can I do for you?
Diane: Well, I have been invited by a gentle friend for a weekend in the country, and I have absolutely nothing to wear. So, I was wondering -- you don't by any chance have any of Maha Chang's new summer line just lying around?
Kate: Uh, not at the moment, but I can make a call for you.
Kate: If you could do a favor for me.
Diane: Anything.
Kate: Carly is trying to punish Sonny by taking Morgan away. Can you stop that from happening?
Diane: I have nothing but the upmost respect and admiration for you. Maybe you noticed. So that is why I'm going to be very blunt. Do not get in between Sonny and Carly. The two of them together are like Tierra del Fuego, which is an archipe--
Kate: I know what Tierra del Fuego is, Diane. I fail to see the connection with Sonny's custody situation, really. You're starting to sound like Spinelli.
Diane: If I may be allowed to finish. Tierra del Fuego is constantly storm-tossed. It's an insistent battle between inclement weather and hostile terrain, and ships are frequently wrecked on the rocks. Carly is the irresistible force, Sonny is the immovable object, and you, my dear friend, are the three-masted schooner that's about gashed to pieces.
Kate: Have you been staying up late watching "Master and Commander?"
Diane: Since my association with Max I have infinitely better things to do with my evenings than watching Russell Crowe movies. And, you are deliberately missing the point. Sonny and Carly may hate each other now, but inevitably, they will find their way back to one another. They always do.
Sonny: Diane, it's me. Um, yeah, I got a meeting tomorrow morning. Shouldn't take more than an hour. Can you bring by the papers? I want them -- signed and filed with the court before lunch.
Carly: If you're trying to preempt me by filing for custody of Morgan. You're wasting your time.
Sonny: Morgan has already lost Michael. Last thing I want to do is cause him any more pain by taking away his mother. He needs you. I know how much he needs you, but he needs his father too.
Carly: He needs a father who won't get him shot, Sonny. And that's not you, no matter how badly you want it to be.
Sonny: What if you're wrong? What if - what if I can keep Morgan and keep him safe?
Robin: So I'm finding it very difficult to focus on this miracle of life growing inside of me because the person who is responsible for helping me to create said miracle -- also, I guess, the baby's father, even though he has no interest in doing any actual parenting, is being downright unreasonable and suffocating. I mean, I thought whole purpose of being a single mother was so that I didn't have to raise this child with anyone else. Without any inference.
[knock at the door]
Robin: But you keep interfering.
[Knocks continue]
Robin: Go away!
Coleman: Are you sure about this?
Patrick: Robin is not the only one that has something to say. Hold that steady. I'm going to do the rest.
Colman: Get the chair for you.
Patrick: Ok.
Coleman: All right. Action. whenever you're good. Just do it.
Patrick: I'm going to be a father. Those are words I never thought I would say. You see I had a plan for my life and being a dad wasn't part of it. Then one night, a broken condom and voilà I've got a kid on the way. That's why I'm going to start this blog tom uh, reach out and build a community with all you other soon-to-be fathers who aren't sure you're ready to be fathers, but are trying to step up and take responsibility, to be supportive and reasonable, to try and do the right thing. But, that doesn't matter as you probably already know. See, we're damned either way because the woman carrying our baby who was more than a little willful and controlling to start with has now gone into hormonal over drive and is losing her damn mind.
Claudia: You have a point. I don't know anything about you. I know even less about your late fiancée. So why don't you tell me something.
Nikolas: Don't patronize me.
Claudia: I'm not. I -- I honestly want to know what made her so special.
Nikolas: Anything I say about her right now would just sound trite, so...
Claudia: Try me, Nikolas. I mean she obviously very beautiful, and -
[Nikolas chuckles]
Claudia: Yes?
Nikolas: Ok, fine. She knew me better than I knew myself. There you go.
Claudia: How did you meet her? Come on, I'm trapped in this bed. Tell me stories.
Nikolas: Alright. We met through my brother.
Claudia: The cop?
Nikolas: The cop. She was a friend of his and she was in love with me when she was just a teenager.
Claudia: Mmm…
Nikolas: I was sure that I would only ever think of her as just a friend. But I was -I was an idiot I threw away too much time that we had together. And you know, I have a beautiful son.
Claudia: You do?
Nikolas: Mm-hmm. All the money I could ever want. But it doesn't matter, because I don't have her.
Claudia: Well, give it some time. You never know who you'll ever meet.
Nikolas: Even if I were to fall in love again, it would pale in comparison with what I had with her. She was my whole life.
Johnny: My father doesn't deserve my loyalty. I'm just an obsession to him. It's got nothing to do with love or concern.
Lulu: So, what about Claudia? What is she going to think when you throw away your inheritance to testify against your father?
Johnny: When the time is right I'll tell her the truth that my inheritance is not worth your life or her's. I'm never going to let my father hurt anyone again.
Lulu: You're not in this alone.
Carly: Your world will never going to be safe for Morgan anymore than it was safe for Michael.
Sonny: I'm going to change how I do things now.
Carly: Is this "wishful thinking, part two?" It doesn't matter if you make another truce with the Zacchara's. Put 3 guards on Morgan. It's not going to change. It's not enough.
Sonny: You won't need any guards anymore. I'm not going to need any guards.
Carly: Come on. In your business you always that's the way it is. Kill or be killed. And we can't let that happen to Morgan.
Sonny: He won't be a target if I leave the organization. I'm going to get out. And I'm going to prove to you that I can keep Morgan safe.
Stay tuned of scene on the next "general hospital."
>> On the next "general hospital" -
Anna: Hi, Robin.
Patrick: Her mom is hot. I'm talking hot.
Sonny: I'm signing over the business to Jason. Will you help me?
May 23, 2008 06:43
Robin: That means go away.
Robin: Listen, my blog has absolutely nothing to do with you. You're being ri-
Anna: Hi, robin.
Robin: Mom.
Patrick: If her mom is around, ignore her; pretend she doesn't have a mom. Especially if she's hot and I'm talking secret-agent-in-thigh-high-boots hot. Now, if you're a single guy like me, who fell in love with the woman who is now carrying your baby. Colman?
Coleman: What? I'm here, man. Keep going. I'm here.
Patrick: If you're a single guy like me, who fell in love with the woman who is now carrying your baby, and you're trying to do the right thing, you're trying to man up about it, well, there's a couple things you need to know. Number one; everything you say is wrong, everything. Everything you do is suspect. Now, if you were foolish enough to actually be honest with the woman and tell her you're not sure you're ready to have a baby well, she is going to use that to shut you out and its going to make you furious. But, it's somewhat of a relief, especially if you're not sure you're really ready to be
[Knocking door]
Man: Johnny Zacchara.
Johnny: Who is it?
Man: It's Lucky Spencer. Open the door.
Lucky: So what's the deal with you and my sister?
Jason: What happened with Michael?
Carly: Michael's fine, except for being shot in the head. Morgan, well, Morgan's going to be perfectly safe because Sonny has a big plan. Go ahead, tell -- tell Jason how you're going to make everything all better.
Anna: Scones for tea.
Robin: You don't have tea. You have cocktails.
Anna: Yeah, these days I realize I need a pick me up before dinner rather than something to slow me down.
Robin: Oh, you were on assignment and you were undercover as someone sensible, and you didn't have time to change, right?
Anna: Oh, no, you know the coup never happened. I didn't have to parachute in or do any evasive maneuvers or anything. It's just as well, 'cause, you know, my back never really recovered from that upside-down-swinging-drinking thing with Luke Spencer.
Robin: Mom, you said that you didn't hurt yourself that badly.
Anna: I know. It did seem important at the time to save face. However, I'm beginning to face reality now, and I'm considering putting in for a desk job.
Robin: I don't that's the best idea.
Anna: No, nor do I., But it is sounding better day by day.
Robin: Mom, when you were the police commissioner, you were out in the field than any the other detectives.
Anna: I know. That was years ago, and a person evolves.
Robin: Ok, just because you're about to bet mother to someone who's about to be a mother.
Anna: You can say it, you know.
Robin: It doesn't mean-
Anna: A grandmother.
Robin: It doesn't mean you're getting old.
Patrick: Yeah, I'm not oppose to kids per say. I think it'd be fun to teach him how to drive a go-kart, to, um, play video games and hang out. Unless of course it's a girl, then I don't know play dress up and go to the museum. But the point is, it's going to start out as a baby, and, you know, I don't even know how involved men are supposed to be with that. Thousands of years ago, we would have been out hunting. Men need to explore, to check out the lay of the land, to, uh, to bag the prey, to bring home the bacon if you will. That's--That's instinct. That's hard-wired. And-and that's not going to change just because a women gets pregnant. You know, we…men roam. That's what we do. Women build nests. See, and -- no, women -- women are amazing. They can -- they can settle anywhere. Settle in your apartment, in your car, at your work and it has nothing do with you. It's just they way they think. You know, it probably would have been a lot easier living in caves. No expectations, no, uh -- maybe that's why love was invented. Two kind of, uh, have a common ground with hunters and nesters 'cause love is the glue. Love is the concrete. Love is the quicksand -- love is --- love is the baby.
Johnny: I appreciated that your family is worried about Lulu. They think I'm bad for her. I'm not going to argue with that, but it's her choice.
Lucky: That was before the Zacchara's set up my father for money laundering.
Johnny: I didn't frame Luke.
Lucky: Your father or his people did.
Johnny: I'm not going to deny that, but I will protect Lulu.
Lucky: I believe you wanted to. You seem like a decent enough guy but the problem is, your life. In a way I kinda feel sorry for you. You're just a glorified prisoner. But I don't want my sister involved with you.
Lulu: Well, it's little too late for that.
Claudia: I appreciate the change in scenery, I think. Oh, thank you. Uh, why do you live in such a creepy place? Nikolas: [Chuckles] Well, there's a sitting room up on the third floor. It's got plenty of windows. You're welcome to go up there.
Claudia: Um, no, no. This is fine, thank you, in a bride of Dracula sort of way. I realize I'm lucky to be here. I do, and I'm lucky to be anywhere.
Nikolas: You're welcome to stay as long as you follow Nadine's rules, and that's that you don't get up. That wound needed stitches, you know?
Claudia: I know. I will be careful and thank you for not calling the police because this whole thing is way too complicated to explain.
Nikolas: Yeah. Are you sure that you don't remember who stabbed you?
Claudia: Like I said, a lot of people want me dead.
Nikolas: Yeah, any of them have anything with Michael's shooting? Maybe somebody wants revenge against you for sending Ian after Sonny?
Claudia: If Ian had done his job right, I'd be a hero in some circles instead of the reason why Michael Corinthos won't wake up.
Jason: Carly, let me take you home.
Sonny: Yeah, that's a good idea -
Carly: No. Tell him what you just told me.
Sonny: It's business, Carly.
Carly: No, it's not. It's our child. Tell Jason how you won't give up Morgan even if that means to keep him safe. Tell him.
Jason: You know, I can't be a part of this fight right now. Let's go.
Sonny: Wait, Jason, I need you to look over some papers that Diane's working on at the moment.
Carly: Wait till you hear this one.
Sonny: I'm turning over the entire organization to you. I'm going to keep the coffee business, the casino, the island. I'm going to give you. You can have the rest of the offshore casinos. I want you to take over the business. I can't do it anymore.
Carly: In other words, Sonny's walking away, and he's making you the target.
Anna: Well, this is nice, isn't it?
Robin: Oh, it's a little tame.
Anna: Yeah, I'm just facing up to facts, Robin, that's all. You know, I can't go around kung- fuing everybody including your boyfriend, forever. So, let me do this. I can do the scones because, you know, I'm British.
Anna: So, you want butter?
Robin: Oh, yes, please. Lots of butter.
Anna: All right, lots of butter it is. And jam?
Robin: Of course. Oh, I got this on the Farmer's Market on Division Street.
Anna: Oh, great. Let's see. Mm, strawberry-rhubarb.
Robin: I'll get it.
Anna: No, I got it, I got it, I got it. I just -- oh! Ow. I have butter on my hands.
Robin: It's probably just a vacuum. Voila.
Anna: So, have you picked up any gardening tips from this farmers market?
Robin: Um, not really, why?
Anna: I'm thinking of putting in some window boxes in my flat.
Robin: Mom, you are in your flat no more than four days the entire year. I think the last time I was there, you were using carry-on luggage for a coffee table.
Anna: I know, but once I really move in and buy some proper furniture. I can put in whatever it is you put in window boxes and then I can bake on Sundays.
Robin: Ok, now you're scaring me.
Anna: No. I want to be a proper grandmother. Once the baby's born, I'm going to put photographs everywhere. It's a really cute flat, you know. It's so sweet, and it's, like, two blocks from headquarters. I can walk to work, if it's not raining and if my rheumatism isn't acting up.
Robin: You don't have rheumatism.
Anna: I know, I'm just trying.
[Telephone rings]
Anna: Ok, whoever this is, I'm not going anywhere, all right? Ok. Hello [Grunts] Who? Chip! Oh, my god, how are you? How's the tour? Yeah. It's Eli Love's tour manager.
Robin: Ooh, where are they?
Anna: I don't know. Where are you? Rio de Janeiro. Wow. Yeah, oh, backstage passes. Thank you. No, thank you, um. Eli has two days off in Rio? Hmm, no I can't I'm busy. Yeah, I really -- but thanks, you know. It's really cool that you called. Send Eli my love. Next time for sure, yeah. Bye.
Robin: Hello?
Anna: What?
Robin: What is wrong with you?
Anna: He doesn't want to party with a grandmother.
Robin: Ok, that's it. We're getting you a real drink.
Anna: Oh, thank god.
Lulu: Lucky, dad may be on the run again, but his rules still apply. I make my own choices.
Lucky: Yeah, and I'm your brother. And that gives me the right to speak out when your choices are destructive. Lulu: Since when?
Lucky: Well, you spoke out when I got addicted to pills.
Lulu: So you're comparing Johnny and me to when you were guzzling pills, sleeping with Maxie, destroying your marriage, and almost getting yourself killed
Lucky: It doesn't matter whether it's boos or drugs, or even a boyfriend.
Lulu: [laughs] This is so ridiculous. I don't even know where to start, right now.
Lucky: Because you can't even stay away from him when you know you should. He's affecting your life and your future in a negative way.
Lulu: Really? 'Cause, um, I'm working at a major fashion magazine right now.
Lucky: Then you tell me how many times you almost died since you met him.
Lulu: What are you planning on doing? Sending me to Shadybrook for relationship rehab?
Lucky: Well, I'm afraid that's where you're headed. Just like mom.
Claudia: You know, nobody knows that I was involved in what happened to Michael except for Johnny and know you.
Nickolas: You don't think Jason Morgan figured it out by now?
Claudia. No. Trust me if Jason knew I wouldn't have crawled my way onto the docks at Spoonmere, or was it spoon-
Nikolas: It's Windermere. We're on Spoon Island.
Claudia: Right. Right. Anyway, I'd be dead.
Nikolas: You're so matter-of-fact about it, like someone trying to kill you is an everyday occurrence.
Claudia: It kind of is.
Nikolas: Why is that?
Claudia: I. I-I'm a Zacchara for one thing. And I'm not a very nice person, I guess. I mean, look, in all fairness, in my own defense, I wasn't raised to be. I mean, mob life doesn't exactly bring out the kindness and compassion in good old mom and dad, you know?
Nikolas: I do, do. Family can be a little complicated sometimes.
Claudia: I'm not complaining. A lot of people had it a lot worse. It's just that some people can escape their families and some can't.
Nikolas: Why can't you?
Claudia: My little brother Johnny. He needs me.
Nikolas: For what?
Claudia: Well, he's the next in line.
Nikolas: Ah, yes. The bright shining future of the Zacchara's, right?
Claudia: How did you know?
Sonny: All you have to do is take your name off the coffee business and sign all your interests to me. I know what I'm giving you is a lot more valuable, but it's not worth it to me any more. I got too much to lose. I got to get out.
Carly: This is unbelievable. If you want to start running the business, do it. I'm sure you would be great at it. It doesn't change anything.
Sonny: It will.
Carly: You have been a criminal for most of your life. You have an endless supply of enemies who aren't going to just walk away because you sign everything to Jason. How many times have you told me you just can't walk away?
Sonny: I'll find a different way.
Carly: That's wishful thinking, Sonny. It's magical thinking. Just like taking Michael to the warehouse without protection.
Sonny: I don't want that to happen again, Carly. That's why I'm doing what I'm doing, signing over the business to Jason.
Carly: No, you need to sign over Michael and Morgan. That's the only way to keep them safe, and you know it. Sonny: Jason. I need your help on this. Will you help me?
Coleman: You know, sometimes it is a good idea, dude, to, um, wait a few before you hit send.
Patrick: Why wait? Robin wants to tell the truth about being pregnant. I'm going to do the same about being a dad.
Coleman: Whatever, man.
Anna: All right. Oh, hi, Patrick. Oh, you're such a cute boy!
Patrick: What are you undercover today?
Robin: That's what I thought.
Patrick: What is that, middle-school math teacher look today?
Anna: No. I'm a proud grandmother, and I thought that I should dress accordingly, that's all.
Coleman: What can I get for you?
Anna: Oh, right, um, Cherri.
Coleman: Let me see if I got Cherri.
Robin: You promised you were going to order a martini.
Anna: I know, but gin can be hard on the stomach.
Coleman: Well, hey, I can make on with vodka, if you want.
Robin: Once you survived the Arctic Tundra for three months and had raw fish and drank rum. I'm pretty sure you can handle a martini.
Anna: That's all behind me now. I just want a little Cherri.
Coleman: No crazy just Cherri.
Robin: Lemonade for me, please.
Coleman: You got it, girl. She's smokingly hot.
Anna: Alright you guys. Now -now that I got you two together I want to make something clear, set something straight. Patrick, you don't have to marry.
Lucky: Did Lulu tell you about our mother?
Lulu: Yes, I have.
Lucky: She was a lot like Lulu, brave, smart, compassionate. Did you happen to mention how dad dragged her around the world?
Lulu: And she went crazy partially because of him. Yes, I told him that!
Johnny: I know Laura's in Shadybrook.
Lucky: I don't want you to wind up in a rocker next to her because you couldn't walk away from this guy when you had a chance.
Lulu: Lucky is being manipulative and completely unfair.
Johnny: Doesn't mean he's wrong.
Claudia: Johnny's a lot better than I'll ever be.
Nikolas: Why do you say that?
Claudia: He's my half-brother. When Johnny was born, I promised that I would always love him and protect him. But, my dad got kinda of crazy. He started flipping out, and it made it really a lot more difficult, and then John's mother died, and Johnny need me. But, daddy thought I was babying him. So, he sent me away to live in Italy and Johnny grew up alone, you know, mostly with servants and my father.
Nikolas: So would you say that Johnny is sort of the, uh, the prince of the Zacchara's, so to speak?
Claudia: Yeah, I guess that's good way of putting it.
Nikolas: Yeah, well, I guess I know a little bit about that.
Claudia: Why?
Nikolas: My full name is Prince Nikolas Mikhail Stavrosovich Cassadine.
Claudia: You're a prince? Seriously?
Nikolas: Since the day I was born I stood to inherit the Cassadine fortune. Here I am. Yeah, I grew up isolated on this little island in Greece. My grandmother and my uncle, they just battle each other over my inheritance my whole life. My grandmother, she's actually criminally insane too. Yeah, she's tried to kill me on several occasions.
Claudia: Oh, my god. She'd fit right in with the Zacchara's.
Nikolas: Yeah. She's driven my insanity, money, and tradition.
Claudia: So, Nikky, are you as crazy as the rest of them?
Nikolas: [Chuckles] Oh, I don't know. Some people think that I am somewhat peculiar.
Claudia: What? Because you live on an island, alone, in a castle filled with stuff that looks like it came straight out of a Dracula movie? Go figure.
Carly: You seen Jax?
Jerry: I just got a message that he left town. And, the time seems a bit odd. I understand that you just put Michael in a long term facility.
Carly: Yeah, he's in the, uh, aftercare institute of Manhattan.
Jerry: I'm just surprised that he didn't stay around to support you, Carly. You ask him to leave? Am I prying?
Carly: I wanted him to stay. I'm not so sure that he knew that.
Jerry: Would you like me to track him down for you?
Max: Mrs. C looked upset when she left. I mean, she's grieving. The timing couldn't be more wrong. She needs to understand that nothing will ever change the way I feel about her. I hold her in the highest regards.
Diane: Ha, ha. And whom are we holding in the highest regard today?
Milo: Carly. Yep, Max is still in love with her.
[Max scoffs]
Max: Um. Well, he-um.
Sonny: Situation with the casino partners is stable, so you'll be able to -
Jason: Sonny, what are talking about? This isn't realistic at all.
Sonny: You've taken over before.
Jason: The first thing you told me when I came to work for you that this is not a business that you can quit. The only way to get out is to die or disappear. You tried disappearing once. It didn't work out. Are you telling me you want to disappear again?
Sonny: I'm not leaving home. I'm not leaving my children or Kate.
Jason: Well, then, you're not leaving the business.

Sonny: I tried to explain this to Carly. She-I didn't think I would have to explain it to you, but of course I will. With an orderly transition of power, I step down. You take over. I am not a target and neither is my family.
Jason: Okay. See that's the problem because there is no order. You are always going to be a target. It doesn't matter if the paperwork is in my name. Your enemies know you, Sonny. They know where to find you. The only way you and your family can survive is to have guards.
Sonny: Michael had guards his whole life. He was surrounded by guards. It was no life for him. I'm, you know, I'm just trying to do something better for Morgan and Christina. I want to do something better for Kate. Because I don't want to make her live with violence, and make her angry and hate me the way Carly does.
Jason: Carly is angry because Michael is in a coma.
Sonny: Yes.
Jason: You act like that surprises you. Like she should take it on faith that you wake up and decide to be a coffee importer. You can't get out of this business. Michael is proof. Why can't you see that?
Sonny: Oh, I -- ok. So, you're taking her side? You blame me.
Jason: No, this is not about sides, no.
Diane: I take it this is a bad time.
Sonny: You --No. Come on in. You have the papers?
Diane: I do.
Sonny: Just sign it.
Carly: Jax chose to leave knowing I need him. He'll choose to come back or not.
Jerry: Come on, you're grieving, and you're driving away the people you love you love the most.
Carly: Why, because I refuse to go chasing after your brother?
Jerry: You know where he is, don't you?
Carly: And he knows where I am.
Jerry: Come on don't shut Jax out completely, no matter who's right or wrong. After awhile you choose not to feel emotion it goes away and never comes back.
Carly: Speaking from experience?
Jerry: Jax loves you. He'll be back. Just give him some time, ok?
Marty: Good afternoon, Carly.
Carly: Hi. I need all the money from the safe, immediately.
Johnny: Lucky has a point about the addiction.
Lulu: I don't care.
Johnny: Ok, but it is dangerous where we're going. I'm not just talking about my father, but because of us the way we feel. Lulu, if I've ever hurt you I wouldn't be able to live with that.
Lulu: We just have to believe that you are not going to be jumping off of buildings. I am not going to end up in Shadybrook.
Johnny: Ok, you still have one chance to back out of this. Ok? I can send you anywhere you want. You can go to New York to finish school. You can go to L.A., Huston, anywhere in Europe.
Lulu: And, you know what we are going to do all that, once you testify against your father. You turn him in, and you walk away. And then we'll be free. We'll be together. We'll do whatever we want.
Johnny: It may take a while.
Johnny: It will be dangerous.
Lulu: You are good for me. And I don't care what anybody says. I'm not going to give you up.
Nikolas: My uncle purchased this -- well, he actually purchased the entire island when we moved here to Port Charles.
Claudia: Why -- why Port Charles?
Nikolas: Oh, it's a really long story.
Alfred: Excuse me sir. Your brother is on the way in.
Nikolas: Oh.
Lucky: Hey. How are you?
Nikolas: I'm okay. Reasonable sane I guess. I'm sure that's not why you came all the way out here.
Lucky: My dad, he had to live town. Did you know that?
Nikolas: Yes, he did mention that.
Lucky: I went by to see Johnny Zacchara to warn him away from Lulu.
Nikolas: Let me guess she was with him.
Lucky: Yeah, I'm pretty sure she's sleeping with him.
Anna: So I was out of line when I said you should marry Robin.
Patrick: It's all right. It's no problem
Robin: Because we don't want to get married.
Patrick: Right.
Anna: I guess I was just being a grandmother, meddling. I'm just going to resist that eager it's so cliché.
Man: Hey, show me some respect.
Coleman: Hey, hey, hey, easy guys. Dial it down or take it outside, man, both of you.
Anna: Anyways, marriage is a huge commitment and the only two people who can decide when the time is right is you two. Right?
Anna: So, I'm going to stay right out of it. And the baby, that is like a life-changing event.
Robin: At least for one of us.
Anna: And -- and, you know, I've had to face the cold, hard facts that when your child has a child, you suddenly realize that, uh, there's an excellent chance you aren't going to live together-
Patrick: Maybe we should call the cops?
Anna: I don't think that will be necessary. You guys, you guys, you guys. Chill. Chill. Chill. We'll appreciate it. Be cool.
First man: Stay where you are!
Second man: Clean out the register, or I I'll kill her.
Coleman: No problem. No problem, brother.
Anna: You better call uncle Mac. Get him to pick up these two characters, and read them their rights when they regain consciousness or whatever.
Robin: Sure.
Anna: My back. Send him my love too.
Anna: I'd like a drink. I'd like a dry martini, gin, shaken, not stirred.
Coleman: Whatever you want.
[Cell phone rings]
Anna: Thank you. What? Hello. Who is it? What? Eli, hello. Yeah, I'm fine. I've just been knocking some stuff around. Uh, oh, I just -- I don't think I can come to Rio. You know, yeah, maybe I haven't been feeling myself so much lately. Ok, I'll be there in a bit. Ok.
Robin: Police are on their way.
Anna: Oh, great. You make a very respectable martini, sir.
Coleman: Oh, it's my pleasure, ma'am.
Robin: So, I should drive you to the airport.
Anna: Oh, it's ok. I'll get a cab. I'm sorry I keep running in and out of your life like this. But, I promise that I'll be back to paint the closet -- the nursery.
Robin: Thank you. [Robin laughs]
Anna: I love you.
Robin: I love you, too.
Anna: All right. You look after her. You don't have to marry her, but you have to look after her.
[Man groans]
Anna: Ok. Eight ball, side pocket.
Diane: That document is the transfer of assets of the Corinthos - Morgan coffee company. It covers all of the company's finances -
Jason: Sonny and I are still negotiating. I'm not signing anything.
Sonny: There's nothing to negotiate, Sign it. Sign it.
Diane: Gentlemen, gentlemen, if I may interject? A transfer of this kind such as you have outlined is most certainly going to raise government scrutiny. Now, subsequently, to amend or nullify those terms is going to raise a big -
Sonny: You think I am going to change my mind is that what you are saying?
Diane: No. I am simply advising you that once this transaction is in motion, it is going to be difficult, costly, and probably incriminating to stop. So in the interest of due diligence, I cannot present this contract for signatures until both of you have advised me that you have reached an agreement.
Sonny: Diane, are you refusing to do what I tell you to do?
Diane: I am acting in good faith as your attorney and his.
Sonny: I don't know how this is going to work. I mean, I don't know how to run a business when you don't trust me anymore.
Max: Triple espresso, just the way you like it -- black.
Diane: Thank you, Max.
Max: Ooh.
Diane: Look, Max if being with me is a complication -
Max: My brother is an idiot, ok? He got it all wrong. What I wanted to tell Mrs. C. Was that, yes, I care about her and I always will. But, it's different now. You know, I realized my thing for her was pointless. So I moved on. I mean to you. And you are the only woman that I care about, presently. You know, in that sense of the word.
Diane: Would you like some water to wash down that foot?
Max: Please.
Diane: You're obliviously not a smooth talker, Max, by any stretch of the imagination. But I do believe that you understand what is important. And I reciprocate, wholeheartedly.
Max: Oh, yeah?
Diane: Yeah.
Sonny: I look at you now, and something's different. But I remember who you were. The kid who used asks a lot of questions, who could never lie, who didn't know the difference between innocence and guilt. Now it's like something's changed. You want me to pay for what happened to Michael for the rest of my life. Don't you think that I pay every second of the day? Now you want me to give up Kate, give up my sons. When did you start telling anybody what to do? What happened to the kid who was willing to die to make his choices?
Jason: What I chose put Michael in that bed. I can't watch that happen to another kid.
Robin: So, why did you take your laptop to Jake's?
Patrick: I didn't want to leave it in the car. What is all this from?
Robin: Oh, it's my mother. She was going through her grandma episode. But you never carry around our laptop. What, do you hang out with Spinelli these days?
Patrick: Yeah, Robin, I'm hanging out with Spinelli.
Robin: So, what were you up to then?
Patrick: Oh. Ok, fine I started my own blog.
Robin: I knew it. Let's see it.
Patrick: No, it's not for you. It's for guys.
Robin: What -- you looked in mine.
Patrick: Which was a mistake.
Robin: Well, you're going to show it to me, or I am going to look at in on the internet. Your choice. Either way, I'm going to see it.
Patrick: Ok, fine, but don't say I didn't warn you.
Robin: Mm-mmm. I won't say anything.
Patrick: But, it's going to start out as a baby. And -- you know, I don't even know how involved men are supposed to be in that. Because thousands of years ago, we would have been out hunting. Men need to explore, check out the lay of the land, you know, bag the prey, to um, bring home the bacon, if you will. And, uh -
Robin: Who are those girls?
Patrick: I don't know. Coleman was doing the filming.
Robin: You shot your blog at Jake's?
Patrick: You know what? You shoot yours on the couch. I'll shoot mine at Jake's.
Robin: Ok, fine. I just don't understand the point of using the women.
Patrick: I just told you, I didn't know Coleman was going to do that.
Robin: How many hits have you gotten?
Patrick: I don't know how many hits I gotten.
Robin: I bet you I got more.
Patrick: We are not going to do this. You don't look at my blog, I don't look at yours. We're not going to have a little competition on who has more hits. We are not going to do it.
Robin: You swear you won't look at it?
Patrick: I -- I -- I will, if you will.
Robin: Pinkie swear? [Robin giggles] You're such a liar!
Patrick: Ok. I swear. Now come here.
Nikolas: Ok. The harder you push Lulu to be away from Johnny the harder she's going to want to be with him.
Lucky: Ok, so what are we supposed to do? Just stand around and watch her risk her own life?
Nikolas: She young. She gets to make some bad choice
Lucky: No, she thinks she is in love.
Nikolas: She also thinks for herself, and we need to respect that.
Lucky: She's just like mom, and you know it.
Nikolas: Lucky, no, she's not. Laura is clinically insane. Lulu is not. She's stronger thank you think. She already survived a lot of loss and some other difficult choices. She'll survive this relationship, romance, whatever it is with Johnny Zacchara.
Lucky: Yeah, and our mom was pushed way too hard for too long. I don't want that-the same to happen to Lulu.
Nikolas: I understand. What do you want me to do?
Lucky: I want you to put a little pressure on Johnny Zacchara. Ok? If -If we can't make Lulu walk away from him, maybe we can make him walk away from Lulu
Nikolas: I -- I mean, I'll do what I can.
Lucky: That's -- thanks.
Nikolas: Ok.
Lucky: I'm sorry, listen -- you take care of yourself. Feel better.
Nikolas: I will. You can come out.
Claudia: Ok, tell me, is this really as bad as it sounds? Your sister might be a whack job and she's in love with my brother.
Singer: I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love with you, I'm in love with all the things you do. I'm in love with all the things you do, in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love with you, oh, you give butterflies, the way I feel when you're around, the way you make me thirsty of your honeyed lips, the way you kiss.
Jason: You see the problem is that it's public record that Christina and Morgan are your kids. They need guards, Sonny. They need protection.
Sonny: Like Michael should have had. Is that what you are saying? You want me to list all the reasons I'm to blame? Yes! Michael- you know, I should have had guards at the warehouse.
Jason: You should have had guards at the warehouse.
Sonny: I should have figured out a way that when I saw the rifle, I should have run to Michael. I should have let Kate get shot so that she'll have a bullet in her head, and everybody would be happy.
Jason: This isn't just about what happened that day at the warehouse. This is about Michael's whole life. He was a target. Michael never had a normal childhood. Morgan and Christina because of what we do; they're not going to have a normal childhood either.
Sonny: They can.
Jason: No, they can't.
Sonny: All you got to do is take the business. And you let everyone know that I'm no longer involved. Listen, we used to be -- we used to be friends. And you would die for me. So, I am asking you as a friend take the business over so I can have a life.
Carly: I know you need a break, and I need to spend some time with Morgan.
Mercedes: I'll be-I'll be glad to come back if anything changes.
Carly: Thank you. You've been so great through all this, Mercedes. I really appreciate it.
Mercedes: Bye, Morgan.
Carly: Guess what, baby? We're going to go on a trip just you and me.
Morgan: Where?
Carly: Someplace you're going to like. Someplace fun
Morgan: Will Michael be there, too?

>> Next week on "General Hospital" -
Maxie: I'm yours for the rest of the night.
Patrick: Oh, my god.
Sonny: I have chance to be happy.
Jason: We did this to Michael! You don't get to have a nice life.
Carly: I have to protect my son. The only way is to run.

Maxie: We have a situation with christiana.
Lulu: Who's christiana?
Maxie: Do you pay any attention to your job at all? Christiana marcos. She's the model for our fall preview spread.
Lulu: Ok, what's the problem, maxie?
Maxie: Apparently, she just threw a water bottle at her dresser.
Lulu: Well, she's probably hungry. Have someone give her a cheeseburger. She'll be fine.
Maxie: Really? That is your solution? Do you know anything about artists or how they work?
Lulu: Christiana marcos is not an artist. She is an underfed, spoiled-rotten model who should get down on her knees and thank God every day she's getting paid a flipping fortune to have her stupid picture taken in overpriced clothes and get over herself.
Maxie: I can't believe i'm stuck in this office with you. Let me see that call sheet. Let's see if it's right.
Lulu: It is right.
Spinelli: Greetings, blonde ones. I see my favorite friends are functioning as a well-oiled, lovely, two-headed machine. You look especially bright today. Might the jackal assume you have suffered no ill effects from the night we spent together?
Lulu: I'm sorry.
What did you just say?
Sam: Hey, hi, troops. Hi, what have -- what have you done?
Spinelli: Done?
Sam: I -- i don't know. I don't know if it's -- if it's your hair or -- did you do something different with your hair -- your shirt? I like it. It's kind of hot, don't you think?
Carly: All right, well, you know what? Thanks, milo. I'll catch up with jason later. Ok.
I wasn't expecting you. Are you here to pick up your stuff, or are you staying?
Jax: Oh, that's entirely up to you.
Ric: I've been in port charles a lot longer than you have. I've studied the dynamics of the corinthos organization. I was part of it for a while. My advice comes from the direct knowledge of how these people work. You have to move against them now before jason has time to consolidate his position.
Anthony: If we do what you suggest, we have to be ready to absorb corinthos property immediately. I'm not sure we're ready. Maybe in a few weeks.
Ric: Oh, it's going to be too late by then, tony. Look, i say we hit now before jason has an opportunity to mount an effective defense.
Anthony: John, you're awful quiet. Weigh in here. When do we hit morgan?
Johnny: We don't.
Diane: You know, i've told you that settlement is not going to work for either party. I have to call you back. Whoa, whoa, whoa, milo. You've got to wrap that.
Milo: Wrap it in what?
Diane: Newspaper or a towel or a blanket or something. You've got to protect it. You don't want to send it to sonny in pieces.
Max: Yeah, who knows what sentimental value that vase has to mr. C., Huh? Just because this isn't the boss's office anymore doesn't mean we don't show his things respect Use your shirt if you have to.
Bernie: Wait, wait, wait, here.
Milo: Thanks, bernie.
Diane: Oh, good, i'm glad you're here, because i have some legal matters that need your --
max: I need to know how you want the guards reassigned --
[everyone talks at once]
jason: Hold on, hold on. I'll address all of your concerns. I just need a moment alone, please.
Max: Ok.
lulu: I'm sorry, we -- we really need to backtrack. Did -- did i hear you say you spent the night with maxie?
Maxie: Oh, it must suck being you. Every single guy you think of as your own personal property eventually finds their way to little old me.
Lulu: One question, spinelli. Why?
Spinelli: Maximista was kind enough to tend to the jackal after -- at her place of residence after mr. Corinthos sir slammed his -- well, slammed my head there into that structure.
Lulu: He attacked you?
Maxie: Sonny is a barbarian. Of course, spinelli didn't have time to react, much less defend himself, not that he could.
Sam: Look, apparently, spinelli gave some unasked for advice to sonny about morgan.
Lulu: Oh, well, that makes sense.
Maxie: Oh, so you're condoning what sonny did?
Lulu: No, i am just saying, obviously after what happened to michael, sonny's kids are a hot button right now, so -- especially if spinelli, however unintentionally, is implying that sonny's not good for his kids or something.
Maxie: That doesn't excuse the fact that sonny rammed spinelli's head into a wall.
Sam: Your modesty is confusing your friends. I have no doubt that you could have obviously defended yourself, but out of pure obligation to sonny, you stayed quiet because of his grief, right?
Spinelli: Exactly. The jackal deeply respects the pain of others.
Maxie: No, no, no, no, no. That's not how it happened at all. Sonny attacked, and spinelli was paralyzed.
Johnny: Jason has been sonny's enforcer for years. Do you really think that he is not prepared for us? That he doesn't already have a retaliation plan in place? Sonny and jason have not controlled this territory for as long as they have by being stupid and unprepared.
Anthony: My son makes a good point. How do you suggest that we handle it?
Johnny: Well, the truce is in place. Jason will honor it. He knows that war is bad for business. I say that we honor it, too. By the time that we need to move our resources into port charles, then we reevaluate.
Anthony: Hmm, i see.
Ric: I'm sorry. With all due respect, i think you're thinking with your heart and not your head.
Anthony: What the hell does that mean?
Ric: Anthony, come on. He is involved with lulu spencer. Lulu spencer has very close ties to both sonny and jason. I think she might get a little angry with john if jason was to turn up dead. It's definitely a relationship killer, isn't it? Look, your son's love life not withstanding, the decisions that need to be made here are what's best for business, and that is abundantly clear. We hit jason now while he's vulnerable.
Jason: Let's get to work.
Max: Yes.
Jason: Milo, i want you to finish packing these boxes. I want you to take them over to sonny's, ok? I want you to offer him guards, but expect that he's going to turn them down.
Max: You're going to need your own guards. Now, i spent last night reorganizing the staff here. It's going to be a tighter detail, but i think we've got it pretty much working.
Jason: This is not -- this is not going to work.
Max: You don't like the guys that i picked?
Jason: One thing you all need to understand, sonny ran his business his way. That's not mine, ok? I'm going to do everything i can to keep the violence to a minimum so everybody can try to have a semi-normal life, but i'm not going to be a prisoner of this business. I take care of my own security. I take my own risks. If anyone has a problem with that, i will accept your resignation right now.
Jax: You made it clear that our marriage isn't a priority to you.
Carly: That's not true.
Jax: Well, that's why i'm here. You know, maybe i misunderstood, want to hear you out.
Carly: Michael getting shot made me realize there's nothing more important than my kids and to keep them safe, emotionally and physically. I need to give them the best life i possibly can, no matter what i have to sacrifice, and up until yesterday, i thought the only way i could do that was to take morgan and run -- run and hide somewhere where sonny couldn't find us.
Jax: So what changed yesterday?
Carly: Sonny had these signed and notarized. He's given up all rights on michael and morgan. He's out of their lives and mine for good.
Jax: Ok, where does that leave Us?
Sam: Spinelli is so naturally sweet, it's easy to miss the tough guy underneath. I mean, he could totally handle himself. I've seen him in action. Remember when we were being chased by alcazar's thugs, and it was me, you, and jason, and, well, whatever -- anyways, he was nothing short of incredible.
Maxie: Hey, you don't have to convince me that spinelli rocks. His cyber skills are, like, life-changing. I know exactly why jason keeps him on the payroll. Who cares if spinelli is useless in a fight? I mean, that's what they keep jason around for anyway, to do all the dangerous stuff.
Spinelli: The jackal continues to learn from the master, and self-defense sessions are not out of the question.
Lulu: Yeah, well, as long as jason doesn't let you anywhere near his gun. Remember last summer, you shot yourself in the foot. Nobody wants that situation again.
Maxie: Oh.
Kate: Hop to, ladies. I need updates on the run-throughs for the premier issue. Thank you. Oh, spinelli. Should i be worried?
Spinelli: No, i -- i'm here merely in a social capacity.
Kate: Oh, good. Well, now i'm going to have to ask you to leave. We're not having a party, and is there something i can help you with?
Sam: Yeah, i just came to -- to see the place. My mother told me all about the --
kate: Your mother?
Sam: Alexis davis.
Kate: Sam!
Sam: Yes.
Kate: You know what? Under any other circumstances, i would love to --
sam: No, please, i completely understand. You're busy. Everyone's busy. We are, too. We have got a ton of things to do, so thanks. Bye.
Kate: Bye. So, where were we, ladies?
Man: I'm having a problem with my meds.
Elizabeth: Ok, what's the problem?
Man: I usually see dr. Sallick.
Elizabeth: Oh, he's on vacation, but i can pull you up on the computer. What medication are you on?
Man: Wouldn't it be listed?
Elizabeth: You don't know the name of it?
Man: They're for blood flow, but my last prescription didn't work at all. It's even making me sick to my stomach.
Elizabeth: Well, it would help if you brought in the bottle, but i can set you up another appointment. Dr. Sheila mason has an opening at four today.
Man: I'd rather see someone else.
Epiphany: You know, nurse webber is trying to help you, but she can't read your mind,so what medication are we talking about here?
Man: It's for e.D., Erectile dysfunction, but the new prescription isn't working.
Epiphany: Oh, i'm sorry about that. If you don't want to see dr. Mason --
man: You know what? Forget it.
Lucky: What was that about?
Elizabeth: Faulty meds.
Lucky: It's been happening a lot lately.
Carly: I know i hurt you, and i'm sorry about that. I -- my only defense is that my son was gravely injured, and -- and maybe i didn't handle that as well as i should have, but that doesn't mean i don't love you desperately.
Jax: You have the -- you have the absolute right to get through what happened to michael any way you can. If that means lashing out at me, i can handle it If it means leaning on sonny and jason, that's your prerogative, but you also have to understand what it looks like to me, that our marriage, the bond that's supposed to exist between a husband and wife is lacking on some fundamental level.
Jax: No, it is true, because when things bottom out, at the very moment when you're supposed to turn to your husband for support and -- and comfort, you go somewhere else, and it's not criticism. It's a fact, and yes, it makes me question our marriage, not enough to pack my bags and walk out, 'cause i'm still too invested in this. I'm still too in love with you, but at the same time, i'm not going to pretend that everything's ok, when it's obviously not.
Anthony: You seem a little too anxious about going after jason. It gives me pause.
Ric: Look, i just know how rare this opportunity is. Jason's not a natural leader, anthony. He's a follower, all right? That's why his moments in the proverbial sun never last very long. Eventually, he always turns the reins right back over to sonny, so we need to take jason down, dismantle the organization, so that sonny doesn't have anything to come back to.
Johnny: I agree with you. Over-anxious is a perfect way to describe it. Ric's hoping that he's going to force you into a decision before you realize why he's pushing so hard. Your new attorney's got an agenda of his own. Ric hates jason for being more of a brother to sonny than he'll ever be -- reason number one. Reason number two: Ric hates jason for hooking up with elizabeth webber, ric's ex-wife. Don't let ric push you into acting out his own motives for revenge.
Jason: I want everyone working under the assumption that the zaccharas are going to make a move soon, ok? So we need to be ready on all fronts. I want you to change the shipping routes, i want you to shake up this -- you know what to do. Just -- just take care of it for me.
Max: I'm on it, boss.
Diane: Max, max, just hold up a moment. I would like max to hear this, because i'm going to be asking a question on behalf of both of us. You are in charge now, and as you mentioned earlier, your policies and your rules are different from sonny's, so i am simply wondering if --
jason: Diane, diane, i do not care what you and max do on your own time, ok? But right now, i need max's attention focused elsewhere.
Diane: Understood. All right, the first thing we need to deal with is the fact that you are going to come under increased scrutiny from various government agencies --
jason: Hold on, hold on. First thing i need to do is have a conversation with bernie that you do not want to hear.
Diane: Right. My retainer covers waiting in the hallway.
Jason: Thank you.
Diane: So that's where i will be when you need me.
Jason: Bernie, your voicemail sounded serious.
Bernie: Oh, yeah, the zaccharas aren't the only ones we should be concerned about. I mean, our central american associates, once they hear we let them in and they hear that sonny's kid was shot and now there's this power shift --
jason: Now they think we're vulnerable.
Bernie: Yeah, they know we are. You know, mr. Corinthos didn't do you a big favor when he dumped this job in your lap.
elizabeth: Thanks.
Lucky: Elizabeth, i have to get an accident report from the e.R. I'm intrigued. Do you think someone here is tampering with the meds?
Elizabeth: It's possible. You would like to think that would never happen, but --
lucky: You think it is, don't you?
Elizabeth: I have my suspicions. I've been thinking about it ever since dr. Ford yelled at me for not giving my patient anti-seizure medication when i know i did, and then nikolas had a post-op seizure right after he received the same medication from epiphany.
Lucky: But it's not just that one drug. Sam got a prescription for pain meds that had no effect. Now that guy, his drugs don't even work.
Elizabeth: I'm not really sure sam's case applies, 'cause she was on pain medication, and it's not uncommon for your body to build up a tolerance, and that guy right now -- he didn't give us enough information to draw any conclusions.
Lucky: Well, it couldn't hurt to ask. There could be a lot more going on around here than we suspect.
Spinelli: The jackal appreciates fair samantha's efforts, but none of her praise made even a dent with maximista. She sees me as a loser.
Sam: No.
Spinelli: Lord of the wimps.
Sam: I think that maxie was just busy, and it's probably my fault for approaching her at the office. We shouldn't have gone there --
spinelli: Work has nothing to do with it. That's not the problem. I am. It's time i faced the heart-wrenching truth. Though i may rule cyberspace, there is nothing about the jackal's brick and mortar persona that would cause maximista's fair heart to race with passion.
Sam: Hey, hey, come on. That is not true. You have many wonderful qualities that any woman would appreciate. I think that you are, like, probably the smartest person that i have ever met. You're sweet, and you're incredibly loyal.
Spinelli: Right, steadfast and true. So is a golden retriever. I have -- i have no doubts that maximista considers me a friend, perhaps even a dear one, but -- but the jackal wishes for so much more, a physical connection if you will, but after spending an entire night at maximista's boudoir when all she was inspired to do was check my head for concussive damage -- the jackal despairs.
Sam: Ok, you want to be maxie's lover, so naturally, let's assess the raw material. Take off your shirt.
Lulu: The printing house rejected our pc account.
Maxie: How is that? Probably because you forgot to send them a check last month. Maybe too busy chasing johnny? Don't worry. I took care of it. We're going to have a new account within the hour.
Lulu: Did you tell kate?
Maxie: No, i saved your sorry butt, but don't for one second think that i'll be making that a habit.
Lulu: Thank you. You must be getting pretty desperate, by the way.
Maxie: Meaning? Did you buy more --
lulu: Three-hole punch? Yes, i stocked up this morning.
Maxie: Perfect. Why am i desperate?
Lulu: Here is kate's schedule for the week. Why else would you drag poor, unsuspecting spinelli to your house and trap him in your disgusting bed overnight? You're afraid that he's seen you for the manipulative slut that you are, so you're using sex, the one thing that you are good at --
maxie: Thanks. The schedule looks good, and i'm calling sour grapes. I think you're a jealous loser because you can't stand that spinelli and i are closer than the two of you ever were. You must be here for kate.
Lulu: Oh, i'll let her know.
Jax: I think she's expecting me. I -- i called her.
Lulu: Oh.
Jax: Hey.
Hi.
Kate: Hi.
[Laughs]
come in. So, good news. I just got off the phone with the distributor of "charm." They are letting us feature their perfume in the premier issue.
Jax: Oh, that's great.
Kate: And you couldn't care less. You want to talk about it?
Jax: Well, it's -- it's just that sonny is finally out of the middle of my marriage, but i'm afraid that it may have come too late.
May 29, 2008 06:17
Anthony: How did you come into this information about ric, like that ex-wife of his being involved with jason.
Johnny: I have my sources.
Ric: Yeah, which happen to be lulu spencer, who doesn't know what she's talking about.
Johnny: See, i think she does. Oh, by the way, elizabeth webber was also married to lulu's brother.
Ric: Ok, while we are going on about elizabeth's love life, the window of opportunity is closing here. Now we need to hit jason hard. We need --
trevor: That was a pretty smooth evasion Why don't you want to talk about your ex-wife?
Ric: Because elizabeth spencer has absolutely no relevance to this conversation, trevor.
Anthony: Now maybe she does. Maybe she doesn't. Is this elizabeth someone we can use against jason?
Bernie: Maybe we should consider canceling tonight's shipment.
Jason: No, it's too late, but i will be informing our people in puerto rico that we're going to be changing all future delivery plans.
Bernie: Don't you think that might be too much too soon?
Jason: We have to dictate the terms. If -- if we wait on these people to tell us, it shows more weakness.
Diane: Carly.
Carly: Yeah?
Diane: I haven't had a chance to properly express my devastation at what has happened to michael.
Carly: Thank you.
Diane: And if i may just say, i am a little relieved that you have sole custody of morgan. It can only benefit him.
Carly: I appreciate that. So which side did you land on the fallout?
Diane: Well, jason has retained my services, and i'm still also working for sonny, in a different capacity of course.
Carly: Aren't you worried about conflict of interest or something?
Diane: It's a fine line, but we lawyers are used to walking it.
Carly: Wish it were that easy for the rest of us.
Jason: Ok, i want all new bank accounts. Everything -- i want everything just to start over, all right? So i don't know how long it might take you, but just --
carly: Hey, i need to talk to
you. Sorry.
Jason: Yeah, bernie, just give us a minute, sorry.
Bernie: I'll catch up on this.
Carly: Hey.
Bernie: Yeah.
Jason: You shouldn't be here.
Carly: I know. I'm sorry i didn't call. I know i just barged in.
Jason: No, no, no, carly. You're not getting it. Sonny signed those papers not to just keep morgan safe, but we're trying to keep everybody safe. You and i can't see each other anymore.
sam: It's weird. I mean, you -- no, no, no, not weird like that. It's weird that you and i have lived under jason's roof for so long, and i've never seen you without your shirt on.
Spinelli: Well, the jackal is modest by nature, but made even more so when ripped stone cold is on the premises. Go ahead, say it. Yes, the jackal's physique leaves much to be desired.
Spinelli, you're actually not as bad as you think you are. I mean, i think you could use some work on your posture, but you are nice and lean, and you don't have any gross tattoos or piercings. None that are visible.
Spinelli: The jackal stands before you as originally designed.
Sam: Good. I mean, that's really good, that's a good start. I think all you need are guns, and you should be good to go.
Spinelli: I'm afraid that's impossible.
Sam: Why?
Spinelli: I've had some horrific experiences with firearms.
Sam: Fire -- no.
Spinelli, guns, guns, as in muscles, biceps. I think i should put you on a really good workout and we'll build you up a little bit, and it'll make all the difference in the world.
Spinelli: Do you think increased musculature would truly sway maximista's heart?
Sam: I know it sounds really shallow, doesn't it? But i personally think that intelligence and sense of humor are far more attractive than seeing a man naked, but we as humans are sort of like animals, and we are drawn to certain things, and -- and people that are -- happen to be physical, i suppose --
spinelli: Yeah, the same occurs in nature. The process of natural selection leads females to choose dominant and well-contoured males for mates. The one problem that i foresee is my general hopelessness when it comes to any and all physical endeavors.
Sam: That's fine. You just put yourself in my hands, spinelli, and we are going to build those muscles and we will certainly have fun doing it.
Spinelli: Ok.
[Spinelli growls]
[sam growls]
[laughter]
maxie: You have to be the most selfish creature on the face of the planet.
Lulu: Look who's talking.
Maxie: You want to be the center of spinelli's universe -- hand me that letter -- and have your big, bad mobster romance at the same time, let's experiment. Try not to think about yourself for one second. I know, it's probably Impossible. But think about spinelli.
Lulu: I need gretchen's fax number.
Maxie: You know, you should really try putting this in your rolodex. Why should spinelli have to sit on the sidelines and watch while you make a fool of yourself for johnny, when everyone knows that whatever you think you have with him clearly is doomed? Where are the messengers with those mockups?
Lulu: Stuck in traffic, on his way. You know what? I'll give you some credit. You are an expert on a lot of things.
Maxie: Thank you.
Lulu: Like crying on cue, rolling over on your back. Let's not forget sucking up to kate. But you know absolutely zero about me and johnny. In fact, you know nothing about relationships at all.
Maxie: I'll tell you one thing i do know for sure. Now that johnny's already had you, it shouldn't be too hard to get him to break up with you.
Lulu: Oh. Hmm.
Ric: There was a time when elizabeth might have served as leverage against jason -- when we thought that she'd had his child. But the baby turned out to be lucky's, who happens to be a detective. And i don't really think we need to bring the police in on this, especially when it's easily avoidable.
Johnny: Which is exactly why we need to keep the truce in place for now. Why poke sticks at jason morgan when we can lie low, rake in our money, and build a solid foundation for the future? You wanted my opinion, you got it. Do what you want with it.
Trevor: Johnny's got a point. Look, tony, i'm not in love with jason morgan, but these are precarious times. We can always take him out later.
Ric: You know, as usual, you say "apple," i say, "orange," nothing ever changes. I'm sure you're going to side with either your son or my father, but i abide by whatever your decision is.
Anthony: Hold on. What makes you think trevor or johnny speaks for me?
Kate: You said sonny's out of your life? Did something happen?
Jax: Well, he signed papers relinquishing his parental rights to michael and morgan. Now, if i can only get alexis to do the same with kristina, then sonny's remaining children might actually live past the ripe age of 12. Wouldn't that be an achievement? What?
Kate: Oh, it just explains so much, jax. I didn't hear from sonny last night, and i thought if we were really finding our way back to a better place, why didn't i hear from him? Why didn't he at least call? But now i know why. Because he had just given up his sons.
Jax: Well, i'm surprised he went through with it. You know, i thought he was too selfish to actually --
kate: Yeah, ok, jax, it's because you don't know him at all. You want to talk about selfish? Let's talk about carly. How self-absorbed is a woman who would punish such a loving father in such a heartless way?
Carly: This is nonsense. There's nothing wrong with us seeing each other. Jason, you're my best friend.
Jason: Yeah, and you're mine, but --
carly: There's no buts here. Come on. Look, i'm grateful to you. There's no way i could have convinced sonny to give up the boys if you hadn't agreed to take over the business. And i know that's a burden that you've never wanted to carry.
Jason: It's a small price to pay after what i did to michael. And if running the organization helps keep morgan safe, it's the least i can do, but you know what? Things need to change all around. Nobody's sacrifice means anything if you're still a target, carly. You know what? You just -- you just got to stay away, ok?
Carly: You're serious.
Jason: Yeah. Yeah, i am.
Carly: Ok, you know, maybe i can agree with you a little, that you should stay away from morgan. But you and me -- we're a different story. Morgan's a little boy. I'm a grown woman, jason.
Jason: You -- you can get shot and die as easily as anybody else.
Carly: You can't do this to me. I just lost michael, you know. I can't lose you, too. And i'm not going to let you be alone in this world. You walked away from your only child, you walked away from the woman you love. You and sonny can barely look at each other. You need me, just like i need you, and i'm not going anywhere. So you need to live with it.
Sam: Yeah, baby, that's the spot to go for. There you go. Hold on.
Lucky: Sam?
Sam: Keep pumping. You're almost there.
[Spinelli moaning]
sam: You got it. That's great. I'm sorry, my grasshopper had to finish his reps.
Lucky: Can i come in?
Sam: Yeah, of course you can come in.
Spinelli: Greetings, lulu's brother in blue. I would rise to give you a firm, manly handshake, but i fear i may have strained something vital.
Lulu: What is your bizarre obsession over the men in my life? You trash my brother, you seduce logan, god knows what you did with spinelli, and now you're hoping that johnny will break up with me. Who's next, my dad?
Maxie: Oh. I'm not against dating an older man.
Lulu: You're revolting, and i swear to god, maxie, if you go anywhere near my father, i will break you.
Maxie: No, no, no -- that could be interesting. I'd do it just to hear you call me "stepmom." On the other hand, i could just take johnny away from you.
Lulu: You're delusional.
Maxie: You think?
Lulu: Hmm.
Maxie: Hold that thought.
Maxie: Johnny, hi, it's maxie. I'm good. How are you? I'm at the office. I needed to settle something with you. Do you think you could come over here right now? Great. I'll see you soon. Bye.
Jax: How can you possibly see carly's actions as merely punitive? Have you not figured out what sonny does for a living?
Kate: It doesn't negate who he is as a man or as a father. He loves his children.
Jax: Yes, and carly loves them just as much, ok? Parents love their children. It doesn't make them special.
Kate: What carly is doing isn't out of love, jax. It's out of her incessant need to punish sonny.
Jax: You know, i'd expect this warped centric view from sonny, not you. You can't deny that morgan will be better off without the violence that constantly follows sonny around.
Kate: Yes, i can deny it, jax. A compromise could be made --
jax: Yet another compromise so another kid can end up in a coma.
Kate: Another way for carly to keep morgan safe without ripping a father from his sons' lives, but with all of the support that carly generally enjoys, i'm not surprised she didn't bother to find an alternate route. I am surprised at how you enable her.
jax: I'm going to put an end to this conversation before you say something you're going to regret.
Maxie: Kate. Christiana just walked out of the photo shoot.
Kate: Oh, the skinny bitch.
Diane: I have filed formal changes of ownership for all of the affected companies. Now, as i was saying earlier, you are going to come under increased scrutiny from the feds. In particular, they're going to be looking at your income tax records, because that is the easiest way to go after alleged mobsters.
Jason: Ok, can you do me a favor? Can you just discuss the books with bernie, and just give him your legal insight?
Diane: Absolutely. Now, you might also want to think about updating your will. Not to put too fine a point on it, but your life expectancy just went way down.
Max: The shipment just got hit.
Anthony: You presented your case very well. I can see why you're a respected trial lawyer.
ric: Does that mean you're going to follow my advice?
Anthony: I might have.
Trevor: That was vaughn. He's got some surprising news, huh? It seems a corinthos cargo ship just exploded.
Anthony: Imagine that.
Ric: You've had this planned all along, haven't you?
Anthony: Doesn't mean i don't appreciate a good debate. Listen, making jason look weak right away sends a message to his minions. See, there's a reason why underlings are underlings. They don't have the emotional fortitude it takes to ride out these little storms. They get nervous, and then they panic. And when that happens, they start looking for ways to cover their butts. And eventually, one of them is going to come to me and offer to take jason down from the inside, and then we get what we want. Jason is history, the corinthos organization splinters, and our hands are clean. You're right, johnny's right. Everybody's happy. Right, trevor?
Marty: Jax, do you have a moment to go over a few things? I didn't want to bother carly.
Jax: Sure.
Marty: Well, has a decision been made about the poolside bar?
Marty: We're going to hold renovations until september.
Marty: May i express the condolences and best wishes of everyone on the staff for little michael? We miss him.
Jax: Never ceases to amaze me how many people he touched and how different it is, you know, without him. I'll be sure to tell carly.
Marty: Thanks.
Jax: No problem.
Kate: Jax, jax, wait. Ok, i'm mortified. I'm so sorry. You're probably one of my only real friends. Can we not fight?
Spinelli: Thank you, fair samantha. My guns are screaming with pain and glee.
Sam: Sorry.
Spinelli: But soon, thanks to you, i will be a pillar of manly prowess. But right now, all i can think of is a long, hot soak.
Sam: Ok, you do that. You did good, ok? I promise -- sorry. I promise it's going to get easier.
Spinelli: One can only hope.
Sam: It will. Bye.
Lucky: So, you're a personal trainer now? What else did i miss?
Sam: I'm just trying to help spinelli access his inner stud. And i think maybe working out is the first step to building some confidence.
Lucky: He's just a little different. I'm just glad he's just away from lulu.
Sam: Really? I don't know, i think maybe the two of you just got off on the wrong foot. Really, i mean, he's actually a sweetheart. He's a good guy, and i kind of think he deserves to get the girl. But between you and i, i don't think he stands a chance.
Maxie: I'm so glad you got here so fast. Thanks.
Johnny: Yeah, no problem.
Lulu: I didn't realize maxie had so much influence over you.
Johnny: I was hoping you would be here and you are. I don't have any complaints. What can i do for you?
Maxie: Pay up. Remember when i covered for lulu the day she blew off work just because you asked me to?
Johnny: I remember.
Maxie: Well, you said you would owe me and i'm ready to collect.
Johnny: Sure, whatever you want.
Maxie: I'm so glad you said that. Now i can't wait to go to federico's party in manhattan next friday with you on my arm.
Kate: My loyalty to sonny does not give me the right to judge carly's motives or put you in a position where you feel like you have to defend her. It does me no good to fight with you, jax. I am grateful for your friendship, for your investment, for being the voice of reason, sometimes the only one, in times that can only be described as hellish.
Jax: We're all upset about what happened to michael, ok? And you're the last person that i want to have conflict with right now.
Kate: So, why don't we agree to be switzerland. We'll help each other by suspending judgment.
Jax: Sounds like a plan.
Carly: Wow. You know, you need to make a decision. Who's more important, me or kate? Because you can't have both.
Trevor: With all due respect, anthony, i am concerned. You provoke jason morgan and he's going to whack you back. Jason and sonny are entirely different kinds of animals. Jason is more cunning, logical, less likely to act on his emotions than make a mistake.
Ric: You know what? I think you're overestimating jason just a little bit, trevor. Look, he's a thug. He's a hit man. He kills people for a living. Jason doesn't have the ability to project or plan ahead or lead. Hitting him now is the exact right move.
Anthony: Going to be interesting to see who's proven right. Even more interesting to see how this thing plays out. What jason does in the next couple of hours is going to show us exactly how formidable an opponent he's going to be.
Jason: What do we know?
Bernie: Nobody was killed. Cargo's a total loss.
Max: The zaccharas, it had to be.
Diane: Hypothetically, you would have an airtight alibi in place before issuing any retaliation orders. Police are going to be all over you. Having said that, i shall leave you gentlemen to your business.
Max: Jason, i know two places we can hit back to cause the zaccharas a maximum amount of damage. Just give me the word.
Jason: Anthony zacchara did this to me. I'm the one who's going to respond.
>> On the Next "General Hospital" --
Jax: I get the feeling that i'm more invested in this than you are. Are you hiding something from me?
Alexis: You gave custody of the children over to carly. Do the same for kristina.

Lulu: This is going to sound really bad, but I'm happy your house burned down.
Johnny: I feel like I just got out of prison.
[Laughter]
Tracy: I'm home. And if you father calls, tell -- oh!
Sonny: What do you think of the blend?
Kate: It's assertive, but not bitter.
Sonny: Oh, you're an expert now?
Kate: I know what I like.
Kate: Sorry, I have to get this.
Sonny: What do you mean?
Kate: Kate Howard. We have nothing to negotiate. No, you can't raise the price this late in the game. I am well aware of the meeting this afternoon. Why don't you review the contracts and try not to be late. Thank you.
Sonny: You're tough.
Kate: I'm bluffing. The crimson launch is just around the corner. I have to nail down the distribution.
Sonny: Hey, hey. Why don't you let me take you on a boat ride?
Kate: Mm, I would love to, but I can't.
Alexis: Congratulations. Your retirement lasted less than 24 hours.
Carly: Hey, Marty.
Marty: Good morning.
Carly: Thank you for looking out for everything while I was gone.
Marty: Are you planning to work today?
Carly: Yep, that's why I'm here. What's the status on the poolside bar? I'd like to get that underway as soon as possible.
Woman: Come on, guys. We can't go fishing if we miss the boat.
Boy: I'll get that for you.
Claudia: Morning.
Nikolas: Morning. Coffee?
Claudia: Thank you. So how do you feel?
Nikolas: Better, thank you.
Claudia: That's great.
Nikolas: Yeah. So listen -- oh, thank you. We need to discuss what happened last night.
Claudia: What's there to talk about? I mean, it was just one of those nights.
Nikolas: No -
Claudia: Don't have to worry about it too much.
Nikolas: I -- I just don't want there to be any misunderstandings, that's all.
Claudia: You were in pain. I was just trying to help.
Nikolas: I know. I just shouldn't have allowed it to go that far.
Claudia: If I made things worse for you, Nikolas, I'm -- I'm really sorry.
Nikolas: No -- no, I mean, there's no -- there's no reason to apologize, I'm just -
Claudia: Well, I don't think you have a reason to apologize either, bu-- do you feel like you were unfaithful to Emily?
Tracy: Get him out of my house.
Alan: It's Monica's house.
Tracy: She would agree with me, and what are you doing here?
Alan: Lulu's an adult. You need to respect her choices.
Tracy: Who asked you?
Johnny: Who is she talking to?
Lulu: Her dead brother. Just don't -
Tracy: Look, I'm sorry, but we're not running a shelter for homeless gangsters, so get him out.
Lulu: I guess the fire made the news.
Tracy: Lulu, talk to me. I'm looking at you.
Alan: Give them a break, will you?
Edward: What are you yelling about?
Alice: Calm down, Mr. Q. Your heart.
Edward: Oh, who is that?
Tracy: Johnny Zacchara.
Edward: You -- you -- you get him out of that bed this minute, right now.
Lulu: No -- ow, ow, ow.
Edward: It can be the full body slam or the reverse chicken wing, I don't care, just get him out.
Johnny: Reverse chicken wing?
Lulu: Alice is a championship wrestler. She's actually really good.
Alice: Why thank you,Miss Lulu.
Edward: Look, don't stop to chat, just get him out.
Lulu: She won the regional middleweight ladies championship super belt three years in a row.
Johnny: Well, congratulations. That's quite an achievement.
Alice: Well, thank you. My last fight was really difficult -
Tracy: Alice, they're playing you. Get him out.
Lulu: Why? We're both consenting adults.
Tracy: You, dressed and downstairs. I decide who consents to what.
Kelly: You really tapped into something with that pregnancy blog.
Robin: It's amazing. It's like this instant community of women all sharing the same experiences.
Kelly: The mother-lode.
[Robin and Kelly laugh]
Patrick: What are you guys looking at?
Kelly: Oh, Robin's blog has 3,000 hits. What happened to you?
Patrick: Borrowed a friend's car and drifted into the wall.
Robin: At the racetrack going 150 miles per hour. Yeah, he's fine with becoming a father.
Patrick: So how's the blog?
Robin: Well, since you asked, they're all very positive comments. Guess it's good to know I'm not the only forgetful pregnant woman on the planet. Oh, look at this one. "Sleep while you still can."
Kelly: That is excellent advice.
Robin: Mm-hmm.
Patrick: Who's the total slacker? Robin, are you calling me a total slacker?
Robin: No, no, I wouldn't say that.
Kelly: I think they've been on your blog.
Robin: I told you not to send your blog from Jake's. It's only going to make you look bad.
Patrick: Ok, an arrested adolescent -- I'm not an arrested adolescent. I operate on the brain -
Robin: Ok, I don't think you should be reading this.
Patrick: Let me see this.
Kelly: Laptops, remotes -- if they have buttons and control a picture, men grab it. They can't help themselves.
Robin: I am putting that on my blog.
Patrick: Ok, women must be reading your blog and then commenting on mine.
Robin: Really?
Patrick: Neanderthal? Neanderthal?
Kelly: "Go drown in your beer."
Robin: Ouch.
Patrick: This is unbelievable.
Kelly: Well, I guess the votes are in. The baby mama rules cyber space. The baby daddy, not so much.
Alexis: So did you burn down Anthony Zacchara's house?
Sonny: No, I didn't.
Alexis: There's really no point lying about it at this late date.
Kate: Well, I have to get to work and this is for you two to figure out, anyway. But, Alexis, if I may, try to keep an open mind as a D.A. and as a parent and remember you can't always jump to conclusions and believe what you read in the paper. Good-bye, I'm leaving.
Alexis: You know, Jax is right.
Sonny: Yeah?
Alexis: He says how you always manage to find the smartest, most competent, nicest women to defend you into anything you do. It's really an astonishing talent.
Sonny: I had nothing to do with burning down Anthony Zacchara's house.
Alexis: Right, right, right. So do you know who did?
Sonny: Oh, he's got a lot of enemies. I know that.
Alexis: That's just a classic evasion and implies complicity on your part.
Sonny: Well, you know what? Jason's in charge. He makes all the decisions. Ask him. He'll tell you.
Alexis: You know, I'd really love to believe you. I would love nothing more to believe that the father of my child has miraculously become a fine, upstanding citizen. But, you see, I've known you for a long time and you could never be happy just sitting around your living room drinking coffee.
Sonny: There are worse things to do, Alexis.
Alexis: I tried to save you once, remember? Nobody knows better than I do that you need the power and the money and the fear that you believe passes for respect. It's so sad, but you need the mob.
Carly: That family who just left here, how long are they staying?
Marty: I'll check.
Carly: Can you give them a complimentary guest package? Throw in tons of tokens and stuff for the game room and give them a spa pass so they can use the pool, chips and sodas, and sign their room up for free movies.
Marty: I'll take care of it.
Jax: Carly.
Carly: Hi, I need the updates on the plans for the poolside bar.
Jax: How long have you been here?
Carly: Not long. I want to talk about the Fall convention and the Fourth of July party.
Jax: You left so early this morning, I thought you'd be with Michael.
Carly: Yeah, I was. I was already there and back.
Jax: Everything ok?
Carly: Yeah, yeah. I read to him, you know, and I was sitting there, planning to spend the rest of my day there and I thought, wow, being connected to Michael doesn't mean I have to neglect the rest of my life, so -
Jax: I'm glad you finally understand that.
Carly: I'm trying to move on. I could use your help.
Sonny: It's almost easier for you if I'm in the mob. That way, it gives you an excuse to distance me from Kristina.
Alexis: Kristina is personal. Burning down somebody's house is business. I am here as a district attorney, not as Kristina's -
Sonny: The answer's the same. I had nothing to do with burning down Anthony's house.
Alexis: You know, you are so -
Sonny: I don't know how many times I got to tell you.
Alexis: Entrenched in organized crime. You think you can just tell me your out and I'm going to believe that?
Diane: Oh, Alexis, please tell me you are not here questioning my client without benefit of counsel. That coffee smells heavenly.
Alexis: All right, answer me this. Why is Diane still working for you if you aren't still involved in organized crime?
Jax: It's not the cost of the poolside bar that's the problem, it's -
Carly: Jason, it's -- it's me. Give me a call when you get this. It's not Michael. Everything's fine. I just -- I need to talk to you about something else, ok?
Jax: Why -- why do you need to talk to Jason?
Carly: I'm not going to have another fight with you about this. Jason is my dearest friend and you've known that from the start. He's the reason Sonny gave up custody. You should be grateful to him.
Jax: He's an emotional crutch, ok? As long as you lean on him, you don't need me.
Carly: Need you? How can I do that when every time I turn around, you're gone? Rome? I mean, what is that? And I'm supposed to be grateful because you didn't actually see or make contact with Brenda?
Jax: Oh, I -- I consider paying a visit to Brenda and -- and you can't let that go? And I'm not supposed to object every time you go running across town to see Jason, huh? How's that remotely fair?
Carly: I was leaving a message for a friend.
Jax: Jason is dangerous for you and for Morgan, especially right now with all this hell breaking loose.
Carly: Oh, well, you get to use that as an excuse, don't you, for another ultimatum? Be my wife or Jason's friend, but you can't have both?
Jax: Look, given the situation, I don't think that's unreasonable.
Carly: I do. I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, but I am not going to end my friendship with Jason. Now, you need to respect that and accept it.
Jax: I don't know if I can do that.
Maxie: I'll give her the message. Thanks. How can I help you?
Spinelli: It is I, The Jackal.
Maxie: Spinelli, hi.
Spinelli: I -- I bring sincere apologies and the bright blossoms of summer -
Maxie: They're gorgeous.
Spinelli: As a gift to fair Maximista to absolve the gross misunderstanding of yesterday. The Jackal does not consider Maximista a skank, far from it. He admires her greatly and desires her in the extreme.
Maxie: Well, thank you. I love flowers.
Maxie: No, no, no. Kate doesn't allow personal items on the desk.
Spinelli: Well, on the table.
Maxie: No.
Spinelli: Oh, oh, oh, by the door.
Maxie: She would really have a heart attack.
Spinelli: Well then, where?
Maxie: Spinelli, I can't actually keep the flowers. They would, you know, upset the ambiance.
Spinelli: But it's a heart-felt gesture.
Maxie: I'm sorry.
Spinelli: A bitter disappointment, indeed.
Maxie: But I think that it's great that you went through all the trouble to get them for me. And you're the kindest, most nice person that I know.
Spinelli: Then my humble apology is accepted?
Maxie: Of course, Spinelli. I could never stay mad at you. You're my best friend.
Maxie: Hold on. Kate Howard's office.
Robin: I think you're taking this way too seriously.
Patrick: Oh, yeah.
Kelly: My next patient checks your blog every morning. You're her inspiration.
Robin: Oh, well, tell her I said thank you very much.
Kelly: I'll be glad to.
Patrick: These women are twisting our words around and using them against me.
Robin: I'm sure there's a positive post in there somewhere.
Patrick: I don't even think guys are reading this.
Robin: Are you surprised?
Patrick: Ok, Robin, these women are out of control. "Shove him off the bar stool." "Why are you wasting your life with this loser?"
Robin: Ok, so some women took some things out of context.
Patrick: This is what I get for being honest.
Robin: Listen, they're just commenting. It means nothing.
Patrick: I don't think you'd be so -- so calm and reasonable if you were the one getting slagged.
Robin: Don't be ridiculous, of course I would.
Claudia: You were having a bad night, Nicky. God, you fell off your horse. You bruised your ribs and I didn't want you going back out there and I -- I, you know, I just -- I was trying to help. I was trying to keep you -
Nikolas: It's ok. I know, it's ok. I appreciate it. It's just -
Claudia: I really was just trying to help.
Nikolas: I know. It's just too soon for me.
Claudia: Obviously, if you're going to beat yourself up like this over one little kiss.
Nikolas: You know, look. It's just -- it's just ironic, you know? I -- I mean, I was unfaithful to Emily when we were married before, which was completely selfish and unfair. And I felt guilty then, I did, just not like this.
Claudia: I don't know, maybe it's a delayed reaction.
Nikolas: I don't know. She -- she would be glad that you came out there to find me. She would.
Claudia: Really?
Nikolas: Yeah. She always used to get so worried about me when I would ride at night. You know, she'd say to me, "oh, you know you're going to break your neck someday."
Claudia: Ok, well -- look, we got through a really difficult night together, and we can just leave it at that.
Edward: What could be taking so long?
Tracy: They probably climbed out a window.
Alan: What's wrong with that? There's nothing to be ashamed of.
Tracy: Again, who asked you?
Edward: They're probably trampling Lila's roses trying to get away.
Alan: Well, mother would understand, especially if they're in love.
Tracy: And when did you become such a sap?
Alice: That's why Mr. Luke dumped you back at the house. You've been sitting around talking to Dr. Q again, haven't you?
Tracy: Mr. Luke did not dump me back at the house. I left. I wasn't interested in a pub crawl down the Sri Lankan waterfront.
Alan: What did you expect, cappuccino in bed every morning?
Tracy: What's wrong with cappuccino in bed every morning?
Edward: I imagine that you gave Luke an impossible ultimatum and he left you stranded somewhere, and then you had to come home. And now you are waiting desperately for him to call so that you can apologize.
Alan: Father's right, isn't he? Or close enough.
Tracy: I have nothing to apologize for.
Lulu: You don't get to pick on Johnny and me just because you're mad at my dad.
Carly: Hey, do you got a minute?
Bobbie: Oh, yeah, actually you have perfect timing. I'm just starting my break.
Carly: Oh, great. I saw Michael.
Bobbie: How's he doing?
Carly: They're taking good care of him. I'm not going to give up hope. I won't do that. But I am ready to try to figure out how to live my life.
Bobbie: You know, honey, you don't have to lay down any rules for yourself. Just do the best you can every day.
Carly: I really needed to hear that.
Bobbie: Be gentle with yourself and with everybody else. You don't have to make any big sweeping decisions right now. Just -- just give yourself some time to adjust.
Carly: I wish I could. I really wish I could, but Jax has been pushing me since the night it happened. He wants me to admit how bad it was, accept that there's no hope, stick Michael in an institution. He's being relentless and whatever I do isn't enough.
Bobbie: Men like to fix things.
Carly: Yeah.
Bobbie: Jax can't fix Michael.
Carly: Well, he's taking it out on me.
Bobbie: You're marriage is definitely in a rough patch.
Carly: We say that we want to stay together and make things work, but every time we do, something or someone gets in the way.
Jerry: Hello, little brother.
Jax: I don't have time for another crisis, Jerry. So if that's why you wanted to see me, this is really bad timing.
Jerry: Whoa, whoa, whoa, easy, little brother. I'm just leaving town for a few days on a business trip. I'm just telling you so you don't start dredging the harbor.
Jax: Great, thanks for the heads up.
Jerry: Why don't you come with me? I mean, a few days out of town might do you good. I mean, there's no daring rescue for a change. We -- we could even see Lady Jane. She'd love to see you.
Jax: I'd love to get away, but I'm not sure Carly would be waiting for me when I got back.
Jerry: Come on, that sounds a bit dire.
Jax: We've been in trouble since the miscarriage and losing Michael. I don't know if we're going to get through it.
Jerry: I'm sorry.
Jax: You know, we can't even have a normal conversation without fighting.
Jerry: Wait a minute. Are you seriously considering splitting up?
Jax: No, I don't -- I don't want to. I love Carly, it's just what we're doing right now is not working.
Jerry: All right, would you tolerate some advice from your complicated brother? I mean, granted, I'm in no position to criticize. All my relationships seem to end up in the morgue instead of divorce court, but -
Jax: So why don't you give it a shot?
Jerry: Well, perhaps none of your marriages have worked because you give up too easily.
Maxie: I'll let her know.
Spinelli: Perhaps Maximista would enjoy the chamber music series in the park weekend? You know, references to Bach and Mozart and even the deeply tormented and politically persecuted Shostakovich could make her appear astute and most cultured.
Maxie: That sounds really great, Spinelli, but I have to focus. If I don't find those distributor numbers for Kate -
Spinelli: Maybe we could follow that up with a candlelight dinner at casa de Stone Cold's.
Maxie: Yeah, I would love to stand around and talk to you about chamber music and Shostomacovich -
Spinelli: Shostakovich. He's a deceased 20th century Russian composer.
Maxie: Whatever. I have to prepare for this photo shoot and then I need to start getting ready for Federico's party.
Spinelli: Perhaps another time?
Maxie: Yeah, absolutely, but you don't have to cook. We could just do the cultured stuff then grab something from Kelly's.
Spinelli: The Jackal fears Maximista misinterprets his true intentions.
Maxie: No, I asked you to make me look smart and you're trying to follow through. I really appreciate -
Maxie: Go ahead, answer it. I'm busy, anyway.
Spinelli: 'Tis I, The Jackal.
Patrick: Spinelli, it's Dr. Drake. You want to finish that session on how to attract women?
Spinelli: Yes, I remain in desperate need of assistance.
Patrick: Great. I'm at Jake's.
Sonny: Jason's calling the shots. If you think he's doing something illegal, talk to him, but don't talk to me because I'm not involved anymore.
Alexis: What do you think I am, an idiot? You've been in business with Jason for I don't know how many years now -
Diane: Alexis, it is a matter of public record. Sonny Corinthos is sole proprietor of Corinthos Coffee Imports. Jason Morgan is no longer involved. Sonny signed over all other holdings to Jason. All the appropriate paperwork has been filed.
Alexis: Don't tell me you're working for both of them.
Diane: On separate retainers, yes.
Alexis: You must be making a fortune.
Diane: Hard earned, my friend, very, very hard earned. But that being said, I can assure you that Jason Morgan is also innocent of any wrongdoing, and any attempt to question him based on anything that Sonny has said is going to be a waste of time for everyone.
Alexis: Diane -- Diane, they're lying to you. Jason may be a front. Maybe he's not. Sonny knows what's going on. They're not telling the truth.
Sonny: Alexis, if you refuse to believe me or my lawyer, what are you doing here?
Diane: It's an excellent question.
Alexis: Notify your client that my office will be calling him. I'll talk to you later.
Diane: Fine.
Diane: You couldn't have picked a worse time to become a law-abiding citizen.
Claudia: I can't even imagine a love like what you had with Emily. I truly can't, but, Nikolas, she is gone and maybe it's time for you to focus on the things that you do have. You have a son. You have a brother. You have a sister. You have family. You have friends. Nikolas, you have a butler. Who has a butler? You have more money than you could ever spend and you -- you live your life on your own terms.
Nikolas: I know -- I know that it appears that way to you.
Claudia: Families are complicated, but you're doing ok with yours right now, right? Nobody's trying to kill you that you know of at the moment?
Nikolas: No. Look, I -- I appreciate everything you did for me last night. Really, I do.
Claudia: Hey, it's the least I can do considering what you are doing for me.
Nikolas: Oh, right, yes, what I'm doing for you. Your secret, that's right. I forgot. Is that why you came on to me last night, because you don't want me to tell anyone about your part in Michael Corinthos' shooting?
Jun 3, 2008 07:25
Lulu: You don't get to control my life just because you're having yet another fight with my father.
Tracy: I'm not trying to control your life. I'm trying to save it.
Edward: I will not have my house used as a gangster's hangout.
Tracy: Don't say it.
Lulu: Ok, I can always, uh, move out again.
Alan: Tell father he's practically pushing Lulu into Johnny's arms.
Edward: Look, dear, we don't want you to move out, but this family has lost far too much to organized crime. Look, Emily and then A.J. and little Michael -- but we don't want to lose you, too. Now you cannot be blamed for your actions because, frankly, Tracy is a dreadful role model.
Tracy: I'm not a dreadful role model.
Edward: You taught her how to drag a reprobate in from the street to this house.
Lulu: I make my own choices.
Tracy: Choose to dump him.
Lulu: Not a chance.
Johnny: Ok, actually, I need to get going, thank you.
Edward: Good-bye.
Tracy and Alice: Bye.
Lulu: I'm going to go with him.
Tracy: No, wait, no, don't -- stop her.
Lulu: You just want me here so that my dad will come back.
Edward: Oh, Luke will not come back until he runs out of money.
Johnny: Ok, look, I apologize for spending the night in your house without your knowledge or permission. I don't blame you for being upset. I respect the fact that you don't want me under your roof, but Lulu and I are both adults and we have every right to be together, and we will. If here is a problem, then somewhere else.
Lulu: Ooh, bye.
Edward: Well, congratulations, Tracy. You have managed to push Lulu even further into the arms of that thug.
Alan: Nice work.
Claudia: Hey, last night had nothing to do with Michael.
Nikolas: But you could how I might be suspicious though, right?
Claudia: Right, because I made you go riding last night, and then I worked out a side deal with your horse so that he would throw you?
Nikolas: What -
Claudia: It was all part of the master plan?
Nikolas: Did you or did you not kiss me because I'm the one who knows that you sent the gunman who ended up shooting Michael, hmm?
Claudia: I have used sex to get what I want. I have set men up before to protect myself, to manipulate, but last night may be the one time in my whole life I was just trying to be kind. And you want to turn it into me having some kind of ulterior motive.
Nikolas: Listen, listen, if I'm -- if I'm wrong, I apologize, ok? I'm a Cassadine. I tend to see the dark side right away.
Claudia: Fine. I'm a Zacchara. I am the dark side. But you know what, Nikolas? Not last night. And even though we both got all noble and pulled back, I think that you wanted to be with me, too.
Jax: I didn't give up on any of my marriages, ok?
Jerry: Oh, really? Let's take a quick glance back and correct me if I'm wrong. You were married to Miranda, Alexis, Skye, Courtney, and Carly. That's five marriages, five promises to stay together forever. That doesn't even include the invalidated marriage to Brenda, and both of us know that you were married Brenda in your heart, right?
Jax: Ok, what is your point?
Jerry: You made five, arguably six, lifelong commitments that you broke. I mean, of course, granted the marriage to Alexis was a marriage of convenience, but the pattern is clear. As soon as the marriage becomes hard and complicated, and god forbid, painful, you give up. You let go.
Jax: Yeah, you're right, Jerry. I -- I don't need your advice.
Jerry: Brother, marriage is not a corporate raid, little brother. You don't buy all the assets and just keep the good stuff and throw it away. Marriage is a lifelong investment. It's designed to hold steady when the market fluctuates. I mean, you know, by all appearances, you know, marriage isn't that fun and interesting. But if you make a commitment, see it through. You know, stay close, protect each other, provide shelter from the storm. If you don't want to do that with Carly, by all means, don't. But don't tell yourself you didn't make the choice.
Carly: I love Jax so much, and I want us to stay together so bad.
Bobbie: Well, then can you both agree to back off for awhile? Call a truce.
Carly: Things were rough before Michael got shot. They're a million times worse now.
Bobbie: Well, losing a child -- and Michael is all but lost -- is devastating. With B.J., Tony and I were having problem but losing B.J., it tore us apart.
Carly: I thought I tore you apart.
Bobbie: You didn't help, but you never could have gotten that close to Tony if our marriage had been solid.
Carly: What I did to you was horrible.
Bobbie: Oh, honey, no, I don't mean to bring up old pain for either one of us. I'm just saying that loss can either drive a couple apart, or it can bring you closer together.
Carly: Jax wants to be supportive on his term I'm allowed to grieve for Michael the way he wants me to, and, sure, I can rebuild my life according to his rules.
Bobbie: That doesn't sound like Jax.
Carly: He's all but told me to cut Jason out of my life.
Bobbie: Honey, a marriage takes tolerance.
Carly: But I've been leaning on Jason before Jax ever came into the picture. Jax needs to accept that.
Bobbie: Carly, you married Jax, not Jason. So if you want to save your marriage, you better focus on Jax, not Jason.
Maxie: Ms. Howard, Mr. Shepard. I'll get water for you both.
Kate: Thank you, Maxie. Have a seat, Todd.
Todd: Thank you.
Kate: So as you know, the launch for "Crimson" is fast approaching. And as our contract indicates, I want prime placement in all the newsstands, especially Manhattan, and central placement in all of the supermarkets.
Todd: That would be impossible, even for twice what you're paying me now.
Spinelli: How might I be of service to the charismatic doctor, for those of us who are slow to grasp the mysteries of the feminine heart must be prepared to earn our way?
Patrick: I'll give you everything you need to know to pick up any woman in this room.
Coleman: Well, come on. Give it up, Casanova.
Patrick: First, I need something from you.
Diane: The change of ownership has been filed with the commissions corporation. Your work permits should not be affected. However, you will need to renew your shipping license within the next two weeks, and the dockworkers may pose a problem because now they are under Jason's control, and they have contract negotiations looming in the next couple of weeks.
Sonny: Ok, let Jason deal with the strike, and you go ahead and deal with the paperwork.
Diane: Consider it done.
Sonny: Why do you have attitude?
[Diane sighs]
Sonny: I mean, you're making twice as much money. Why do you care if I go legit, Diane?
Diane: Yeah, Sonny, absolutely. I should simply be jumping for joy, right? I mean, Jason doesn't interfere with my personal life. Max and I are enjoying --
Sonny: Ok, I don't want to hear about Max. I just -- just answer the question.
Diane: Well, when you went legit, did you even bother for one second to think about the rest of us?
Sonny: Diane, life is about choices. I'm doing everything I can to make a better life for my children -
Diane: You have left people who have been loyal to you for years directly in the line of fire. And since you have done this so abruptly and so publicly, we are now even more vulnerable.
Sonny: I let Jason take over 'cause I knew he's the best guy to do it.
Diane: Come on, Sonny. You basically blackmailed Jason into taking over in exchange for you signing your sons over to Carly, something you should have done voluntarily, privately, and a hell of a lot sooner than you did.
Sonny: First of all, that's not true. Second of all, Diane, you just crossed the line.
Diane: Ok. All right. Well, let me just scamper back to the other side, because how you live your life and how you deal with your family is none of my business.
Johnny: My father checked in here last night. Anthony Zacchara.
Jax: I'll take care of this.
Johnny: We got a problem?
Jax: Yeah, we got a problem. I want your father out of my hotel.
Carly: That would be, um, my hotel, too.
Jax: Actually, I want you and your father out of my hotel, and I don't ever want you to come back.
Carly: Actually, the Zaccharas can stay here as long as they want.
Patrick: Try and find something you guys both like, whether it's tennis, baseball, snowboarding. Doesn't matter whatever it is.
Coleman: Pool.
Patrick: Pool's great, but be careful about getting too close. Let her win a few, but don't let her win all of them. If she beats you, you know, make sure it matters, 'cause it does.
Spinelli: Ok, for example, how many free levels of "Alien Space Monster Invasion Deluxe Edition" do I give her?
Patrick: I would skip the computer games. It can be distracting. Stick to real things in real time. And be prepared to swap a stock car race for an opera -
Spinelli: Ok, well, what about an opera about a stock car race?
Patrick: If you find it, yeah, go for it.
Spinelli: Um, I don't know, what do you think about a, uh, concert or a museum?
Patrick: That's perfect. Concert and museums are great.
Spinelli: Ok, and followed by a candlelit dinner for two? As advised by a lady of my casual acquaintance.
Patrick: I would skip the candlelight. She's going to think you're serious.
Spinelli: Well, what if I do actually dream of the day that the fair lady reciprocates my feelings and returns my affections with tenderness and great abandon?
Patrick: Spinelli, the idea is to be casual, have fun, but make a graceful exit. Nobody was better at that than me, until I met Robin.
Kelly: You still reading your fan mail?
Robin: This is so weird. Everyone's been so positive and so affirming.
Kelly: There will always be a few people who disagree.
Robin: Try a thousand.
Kelly: You had a thousand more hits on your blog?
Robin: Yeah. All within the last half hour, and they're all incredibly strange.
Kate: We agreed on the distribution deal weeks ago, Todd.
Todd: You knew there would be last minute details.
Kate: Oh, I see. You worked out a deal with Giselle at "Couture," didn't you? Aha. You're trying to starve out "Crimson" by refusing placement.
Todd: Why should I knock top-selling magazines out of the way for an untried product?
Kate: Because we have an agreement, Todd.
Todd: Here's how it works -- you pay me three times what's in the contract, you call it a transport fee, and you accept wherever I put you.
Kate: Or what?
Todd: Or I'll dump you on the back rack, behind the adult magazines. And my guess is that's not your demographic.
Sonny: How's it going, darling?
Todd: We're in the middle of a meeting. Come back later.
Sonny: No, I think I'm going to stick around 'cause I could probably learn something.
Todd: Is he serious?
Sonny: I'm Sonny Corinthos.
Spinelli: Um, in any code, the order of commands crucial, so if I did implement Dr. Drake's advice to attract a fair one, um, but unlike the devoted doctor, does not have the repressed urge to flee, might I then progress to the level of candlelit dinner in an orderly and logical progression?
Patrick: Yeah. I think.
Nikki: These flowers are beautiful.
Coleman: Hey, go for it. Go for it.
Spinelli: Courtesan? Lady of the night?
Coleman: No, no, no, no. Go.
Nikki: Why are they just sitting here?
Spinelli: Um, I -- I purchased them for a party who is, regrettably, unable to accept them due to office ambience. But should you desire them, please, they're yours.
Nikki: I can't take all these flowers.
Spinelli: Well, then maybe select the most beautiful few and wear one in your hair, for summer is upon us.
Nikki: Do you always hang out in bars being sweet and charming?
Spinelli: I would if I could be assured meeting a fair lady as sweet and charming as you.
Nikki: So tell me about yourself. I love how you talk.
Spinelli: You know, The Jackal would be far more interested in hearing about you, fair one.
Maxie: What's the emergency? And please don't tell me that you're in labor because I'm really busy and Mac's out of town. He'll freak out if he can't be in the waiting room, pacing back and forth, driving everyone nuts.
Robin: No, the baby is fine. I'm pissed.
Maxie: I'm sorry. Lulu took off today, and I can't run out of the office every time you can Patrick have, yet again, another fight.
Robin: If you get in trouble with Kate, I will talk to Sonny, and he will talk her down. This is something that only you can do, ok? So I need you to tell me who wrote that email?
Maxie: "The esteemed, albeit single-minded, mother-to-be shows an appalling lack of regard for the faithful father of her much-desired progeny and gives said father no credit for his true and abiding concern for her health and well-being. Nor does the rapidly-developing mother make the slightest effort to comprehend the levels of sacrifice a once vibrant and carefree bachelor has made to remain steadfast at her side." Oh. Why is Spinelli posting on your blog?
Robin: That's what I need you to find out.
Sonny: I didn't catch your name.
Todd: Todd Sheperd.
Sonny: Oh, well, you know what? Don't let me interrupt. I know that you said that you and Kate are in the middle of something important, so I'll just sit down right here. Just keep going, keep talking -- whatever you need to do.
Kate: Well, Todd and I are in the middle of negotiating "Crimson's" distribution deal. We're having some difficulty coming to an agreement on where the magazine should be placed and what vendors should carry it.
Sonny: Well, I'm sure, uh -- Todd?
Todd: Todd.
Sonny: I'm sure Todd will do whatever it takes to make you happy.
Jax: I don't want the Zaccharas' business interfering with ours.
Carly: We won't be in business long if you keep turning away customers.
Jax: I have the right to refuse service to anyone because it's my hotel.
Carly: It's our hotel, and we shouldn't make it a practice to turn down paying customers.
Johnny: There's obviously been some sort of miscommunication about your hotel's policy when it comes to my family.
Carly: No. Like I said, if you guys pay your bills, your family's welcome to stay here as long as you like.
Nikolas: It's just too soon for me to be -- to be with anyone, ok? And I was wrong to take it out on you. I was wrong to twist your kindness into something that it wasn't and I'm sorry.
Claudia: Apology accepted.
Claudia: Thank you.
Nikolas: You know, you're a better person than you realize -
Claudia: I'm actually not.
Nikolas: No?
Claudia: Mm-mmm. But thank you for saying that. That sounds nice coming out of your mouth. And I've got to tell you something. I'm always going to wonder what might have been. So for what might have been.
>> On the next "General Hospital" -
Patrick: A hundred bucks says he gets the girl.
Lulu: Get away from my brother.
Sonny: You've been wasting her time. Apologize to her.
Jason: Get your father under control, or you're going to lose a lot more than your house.
Jun 4, 2008 06:54
Monica: Well, hi.
Jason: I know. I should have called.
Monica: No, that's ok. I'm always glad to see you.
Jason: I just -- I wasn't sure -- after what happened to Michael, I wouldn't blame you if you didn't want me to come by anymore.
Monica: No. Listen, I have -- I have lost too many people that I love. I have no intention of losing you.
Jason: I'm sorry.
Monica: Yeah. I am, too. Michael's shooting was a real tragedy, but, Jason, something positive could come out of this if you would be willing to change your life.
Kate: Distribution and placement are key. Now, I would be willing to compromise on certain aspects, but you're going to have to meet me halfway.
Todd: What are your terms?
Kate: I'll take lower shelf placement, but only in the prime newsstands. Everywhere else, I want "Crimson" front and center.
Todd: Best I can do is top row, side shelf.
Kate: I will not let "Crimson" be an afterthought before we've even debuted, Todd.
Todd: Yours is the newest publication. It wouldn't be fair for me to push aside an established title with a long-standing distribution deal.
Sonny: Distribution -- that's trucking, right?
Todd: Yes.
Sonny: As a matter of fact, I got a -- I was talking to a friend who's high up in the transportation union. And he's been getting a lot of complaints because drivers, they want to go on strike. I don't think that would be a bad idea.
Todd: That would bring the publishing world to a standstill.
Sonny: Sometimes radical action needs to take place in order for things to change.
Carly: Your business with Sonny and Jason have nothing to do with me or this hotel.
Jax: No. Until the lobby gets shot up again and we have another hostage crisis on our hands.
Johnny: I assure you that while my father is staying here, there will be no violence in your hotel.
Jax: You know, that's funny, because in the last 48 hours, a cargo ship was sunk in the harbor, and then your family's home was burnt down in retaliation. I don't want this hotel to be next.
Johnny: As far as I'm concerned, this hotel is neutral property. I'm sure Jason Morgan feels the same way. After all, Carly is one of his closest friends.
Carly: And he would never do anything to hurt me.
Jax: Innocent people get hurt all the time. Bullets ricochet.
Johnny: My father just needs a place to stay while he rebuilds.
Carly: He can stay here.
Johnny: I'll be sure he knows who to thank.
Jax: Why are you doing this? Why? I mean, I don't understand why you're doing this.
Carly: Well, I thought the point of owning a hotel was renting out the rooms, Jax. Sorry.
Jax: Come on. This has nothing to do with profit margin. You want the Zaccharas in your hotel so that you can spy on them for Jason. I'm telling you right now, that's not going to happen.
Lulu: Get the hell away from my brother. What are you thinking? Why would you want anything to do with this skank?
Maxie: Look, I would really like to help you, but I already told you Lulu flaked. And if I don't go back to work, Kate's going to fire both of us.
Robin: Just tell Kate you had a family emergency and that you had to talk your pregnant and somewhat hormonal cousin down before she did something really stupid.
Maxie: It is just an email. Don't you maybe think you're overreacting just a -
Maxie: Ok.
Robin: No, I don't. Because you know what? It makes me crazy that I started this blog to reach out to other expectant mothers for it all to be hijacked by Spinelli.
Maxie: Spinelli doesn't have a malicious bone in his body, so if he had -
Robin: If? Come on. Who else could have written the phrase "the esteemed albeit single-minded mother-to-be"?
Maxie: He must have had a really good reason?
Robin: Someone put him up to this, and I have a pretty good idea who.
Coleman: What is it about flowers that makes chicks just melt, man?
Patrick: The flowers are just a way in. The key is staying in the moment, keeping things pressure-free. See how Spinelli's actually listening to what she has to say? That's perfect. You don't want to give the impression you're already thinking about how to get her home and trying to figure out how to leave.
Nikki: What about this one?
Spinelli: This is the polianthes tuberosa. It's actually a night bloomer with an intoxicating scent symbolizing pleasure.
Nikki: I can see why.
Spinelli: Yeah. Equally enjoyable is the Dutch tulip, which actually wasn't introduced to the Netherlands until the 17th century, having originated in the Ottoman empire.
Nikki: What does it mean?
Spinelli: It symbolizes the perfect love.
Nikki: Who would have ever guessed I'd meet such a smart, sensitive guy at some dive bar on the edge of town?
Patrick: If Spinelli keeps this up, he's going to have her number and a date without even buying a drink.
Coleman: No way. Kid's going to crash and burn, watch.
Patrick: Hundred bucks says he gets the girl.
Nikki: Those are all so beautiful. Can I have this tulip? I really like the idea of a perfect love.
Lulu: Ok, I get that you're still grieving for Emily, but hooking up with that is only going to make things worse.
Nikolas: You're out of line here.
Lulu: I walk in here and find my brother, who is still recovering from a brain surgery, kissing a virtual stranger, who I happen to know is a total slut. So, I think I have a right to be concerned.
Claudia: You know what, Lulu? Maybe you should try knocking next time instead of barging in on a situation you actually know nothing about.
Lulu: Tell me that you're just going through grief and you're extremely lonely and you went out and picked up the first warm thing that you could find.
Nikolas: Hey, hey, I realize that you're concerned, but that's no excuse to disrespect a guest that's in my home.
Lulu: A guest? Do you know who this guest is? Claudia Zacchara, as in Anthony Zacchara's daughter.
Claudia: I prefer John's sister.
Lulu: What are you doing here?
Nikolas: She doesn't owe you an explanation.
Lulu: Are you two dating?
Monica: I've had a lot of time to think while I've been here. I mean, think about the choices that I have made, people I've hurt, what led to the drinking. I figured out it really wasn't -- it wasn't Emily and Alan's death that triggered it. I -- I had a problem a long time ago. It really started with you, Jason. When you left us and decided to go work for Sonny, I felt -- I felt like I failed you.
Jason: Monica -
Monica: You -- no, wait a minute. You had no idea how it was going to affect the family, nor did you have any idea how it was going to affect you. But Sonny did. Sonny knew and he preyed on your innocence, and he turned you into somebody that we barely even recognized.
Jason: Sonny warned me. I -- I don't have any excuses. I'm the one who made the decision all the way down the line.
Monica: Ok. Ok, now you've had enough life experiences to know that working for Sonny has brought you nothing but heartache and pain. And you can't go back and redo the past, but you sure as hell can make better choices for the future. Jason, get out of the mob now, before it destroys you like it has Michael.
Nikki.: How do you know so much about flowers?
Spinelli: The Jackal is well-versed in all things of an herbal nature. But with an internet connection and a reliable search engine, you, too, could pick up the finer points.
Nikki: I'm not great with computers.
Spinelli: Well, perhaps a tutorial is in order.
Coleman: Here comes the geek speak.
Patrick: Give him a second. He can still pull this off.
Coleman: He was dead in the water when he took that computer over there.
Spinelli: Jackal would be happy to provide you with a list of recommended websites to help you further your quest for horticultural knowledge. Might you have an email address where I could forward the corresponding links?
Woman: What are you looking at?
Nikki: We were doing some research on the meaning of flowers. This one stands for the perfect love.
Woman: That is so sweet.
[Giggling]
Nikki: This is my girlfriend, Mandy.
Spinelli: Damian Spinelli, hi.
Mandy: Nice to meet you. Are you almost ready? We're going to be late.
Nikki: One second. I don't have email, but maybe I'll see you around sometime, and you can help me set up an account?
Spinelli: The Jackal is always available for tech support.
Nikki: Great. Thanks again for the flowers.
Spinelli: Of course.
[Blubbering]
Maxie: How can I help?
Nikolas: Claudia and I have recently become -- what? Friends? Yes, friends.
Lulu: Oh, is that what you call it?
Claudia: I should go. I'm going to let the two of you -
Nikolas: I'll -- I'll walk you out. don't -
Lulu: Uh-huh.
Nikolas: You sure you're going to be ok?
Claudia: I'm fine. I mean -- yeah. I can take care of myself.
Nikolas: You know what I'm talking about. The guy who stabbed you -- you're going to be ok?
Claudia: Well, I don't know. I don't think he'll try it again, but if he does, I can take care of myself.
Claudia: Sorry.
Lulu: Look, I get that you're lonely. But Claudia? Come on. She uses her body to get what she wants, or -- I mean, she couldn't be more different than Emily. Or is that the point? If you are with Claudia, you don't have to compare her to Emily?
Nikolas: There is no comparison, Lulu. Emily is and always will be the love of my life.
Lulu: So what was Claudia? A cheap thrill?
Nikolas: We're friends. That's all you need to know.
Lulu: Ok, ok. But if this friendship continues, it could be seriously destructive.
Sonny: The strike, you know, would benefit the drivers. I mean, they're out on the road, trying to meet impossible deadlines, you know? Not much sleep, not much pay. Once a delivery comes to a halt, management would be reminded of how dependent they are on the rank and file, and how important it is to keep them happy.
Todd: While the drivers may benefit, Kate certainly wouldn't. I mean, her magazine would go under with every other publication.
Sonny: Not necessarily, because I got a couple of transport firms who owe me a favor and would be willing to deliver the magazine even during the strike. All the other publications would be sitting in warehouses, so "Crimson" would be the best game in town. What a great way to launch a new magazine, right?
Kate: Sonny makes an interesting point.
Sonny: Yeah.
Todd: We don't want any trouble with the unions. You'll get prime placement and early release.
Sonny: At what price?
Todd: Excuse me?
Sonny: You've been wasting her time. This could have been done hours ago, this deal. Ok? So what I want you to do now is apologize to her, right, by giving her a discount.
Todd: There's only so many compromises I can make.
Sonny: How are you going to feel walking through a picket line every day to get to work?
Todd: Fine. 20 percent. I can't go any lower.
Sonny: It was a pleasure doing business with you.
Monica: I don't expect you to come back to the Quatermaine fold. That's an old, old dream. But you could start a new life without any obligation to Sonny. And if it meant leaving Port Charles, ok, so be it. I would miss you terribly, but at least I would know that you are doing the right thing.
Jason: You know, I wish I could do what -- what you're asking.
Monica: You can. Jason, you can do it. You're smart, you're capable. Walk away from Sonny and don't look back.
Jason: Sonny left the business. I agreed to take over.
Monica: What? Why would you do that?
Jason: It doesn't -- it doesn't matter.
Monica: Oh, no, it matters. It matters a lot to me. I'm your mother, Jason. I want to know why you would choose to stay in a business that put Michael in a coma. And you learned from that. I saw you right here. I saw you grieve for that little boy. How in the hell can you turn that grief into making the worst possible, most destructive choice?
Carly: If Jason needs information on the Zaccharas, he can send one of his men to get it. He doesn't need me for that.
Jax: Like that's stopped you before.
Carly: I've learned my lesson with this.
Jax: I'd love to believe that.
Carly: But you don't.
Jax: No, really, I don't. Because I know you, Carly. You'll start rationalizing all the reasons why you have to get involved, why Jason needs your help. And then before you know it, you'll be up to your neck in mob politics. And then we will be right back to where we started.
Carly: The worst mistake I ever made in my life was bringing Michael into Sonny's world. I'm not going to do the same with Morgan. He needs to grow up safe and happy, and we can give him that.
Jax: Which brings us back to Jason. Where does he fit into all this?
Carly: He's my closest friend. I will not cut him out of my life.
Jax: Right. The life that you claim to want to share with me, right?
Carly: Ok, why does it have to be a choice, Jax? Why? You have friends I don't like. You have Alexis, and now Kate. I'm willing to suck it up and compromise for the sake of our marriage, how come you can't do that with Jason?
Jax: I'm willing to compromise on anything except when it comes to my family's safety.
Kate: Give my best to Griffin.
Todd: Of course. Mr. Corinthos.
Sonny: Todd.
Kate: What was that?
Sonny: Business.
Kate: My business. I did not ask nor did I require your assistance.
Sonny: I got what you wanted. Why are you acting like that?
Kate: Oh, I don't know. Let's see. Let's just break it down, shall we?
Sonny: All right.
Kate: You stepped in instead of respecting my ability to negotiate with Todd myself. You threatened an illegal strike. I don't need Diane to tell me that that constitutes extortion.
Sonny: Did it work?
[Kate clears throat]
Kate: Would you have followed through if Todd had held out?
Sonny: The president of the union owes me a favor.
Kate: No, no, he owes Jason a favor. You're out of the business, remember? Or did you think that you lived in some magical land where you could have all of the power and influence and none of the risk and danger?
Sonny: You know what, Kate? You know, a simple thank you would be nice.
Jax: Thank you for what?
Kate: Well, Jax, you'll be happy to know that Sonny arranged a better distribution deal than we could have ever dreamed.
Maxie: What's wrong?
Spinelli: The Jackal is just venting some passing cyber frustration over a program not working as he hoped it would.
Maxie: Oh, that wouldn't be the program you wrote to spam Robin's new blog site, would it? Don't try and deny it, Spinelli. I already read the emails. And I want to know how much money Patrick paid you.
Spinelli: Nothing of a monetary value exchanged hands.
Maxie: Oh, so you're just saying really mean stuff about my cousin for free.
Spinelli: No -- wait -- The Jackal meant no disrespect.
Maxie: I can't believe you got Spinelli to do your dirty work.
Patrick: Ok, Maxie. Time out. Now, Robin started this by announcing to the world that I was an immature, insensitive jerk.
Maxie: Oh, and spamming her website proves her wrong? Ok, I got that Robin might be going a little overboard with this whole pregnancy thing. You think she thinks she's the only person who's ever given birth to a child before.
Patrick: Ok. Now, finally, a voice of reason. Did you tell Robin you think she's over the top?
Maxie: So she can flip out and start doing research on pregnant women who take things too far? No. We have to play along and do our best not to antagonize her.
Patrick: Easy for you to say. You're not the one getting trashed on her blog every day.
Maxie: I'm also not the one who got her pregnant. You did. Deal with it.
Lulu: I've been a terrible sister. You have had so much to deal with. I should have been here to help you.
Nikolas: Lulu, you have your own life, ok? I don't expect you to -- or would I even want you to put your life on hold for me.
Lulu: I just -- I hate that you're isolated here. You're all alone and completely cut off from everything going on around you.
Nikolas: Everybody acts like spoon island is an ocean away. It's just a short boat ride to the harbor.
Lulu: Not that you take advantage of it. You're here all the time, which is probably why you don't realize that Claudia is a nut job. I mean, we're talking certifiable, like her father.
Nikolas: You know, I'm surprised that you're not a bit more charitable towards her, given that she is Johnny's sister.
Lulu: Johnny cannot pick who he's related to anymore than you can. Trust me. I know the Zacchara. Claudia is not someone you want to be involved with.
Nikolas: That's not your decision to make, though.
Lulu: You know what? I -- what I don't even get is how this happened. How did you guys meet in the first place?
Johnny: Hey. You ok?
Claudia: Hi. I've been fine. I'm fine.
Johnny: What the hell happened?
Claudia: You first.
Claudia: Well, was it Sonny?
Johnny: I have a lot to catch you up on. Sonny's not running things anymore. Jason Morgan took over the Corinthos organization a couple days ago.
Claudia: Really? Finally had enough, huh? Stepped up? They find Sonny's body yet?
Johnny: No, as far as I know, he's alive and well. A few days ago, Morgan shows up to the house and announces that he's taking over the Corinthos organization, right? The next day, our father decides to send him a message and sank one of the Corinthos shipments. Within two hours, Morgan's back at our house, sets the place on fire.
Claudia: My clothes? Too bad daddy didn't burn with it.
Johnny: Jason stood next to our father and watched the place go down.
Claudia: That doesn't make any sense, John. Why would Jason let our father live?
Monica: You don't owe Sonny a damn thing.
Jason: I'm not doing this for Sonny.
Monica: Well, then explain to me why Sonny can just all of a sudden leave the mob and you can't.
Jason: I don't believe what Sonny's doing is going to work. He's got the right to give it a try.
Monica: And so do you. Jason: I'm not going to lie to myself. Ok? I know how dangerous this business really is, especially for children. Morgan is never going to be in that position that Michael was.
Monica: Morgan is never going to be safe with Sonny as his father.
Jason: Sonny signed over his parental rights to Carly.
Monica: He did that willingly?
Jason: Let's just say he knows the boys will be better off.
Monica: Oh, my god. You -- you have agreed to take over that business on the condition that Sonny stay out of Morgan's life. You're doing this to save a little boy's life, aren't you?
Jason: I just wanted to tell you personally -- that I'm running things now. I would understand if you didn't want me to stop by anymore.
Monica: Oh, Jason. Jason. My god. No matter how wrong you are, you are my son, and I love you.
Jun 4, 2008 06:58
Johnny: Dad made a move, Jason retaliated. Now we know where both of the parties stand, we can go on with business as usual.
Claudia: John, come on, daddy's not going to let it go like that. He's not. Jason made daddy look weak in front of the other families. You know, standing and watching your house burn down with the guy who set it on fire? Daddy's not going to stop until Jason's dead.
Johnny: Ok, but a war doesn't do anybody any good. Our father knows that, hopefully Jason does, too.
Claudia: You know, I didn't peg you for an optimist.
Johnny: I'm a realist, peace is cheaper than war. Unless Jason Morgan had something to do with your disappearance?
Claudia: No, it was nothing like that.
Johnny: Then what was it?
Claudia: I met someone and I got carried away.
Nikolas: Claudia and I met by accident. She was in need of some help, so I provided it.
Lulu: Oh, so that's what the kiss was about, Claudia showing you her gratitude? I -- you know what, I'm sorry, I just think this whole thing is an act, and I just think you should be careful.
Nikolas: Well, I think you should take your own advice and stay away from the Zaccharas.
Lulu: Really? Because Johnny doesn't have half as many issues as Claudia. When Claudia was a teenager, her father shipped her off to Italy to go live with family because her dad thought she was a bad influence. Yeah, he might have been crazy at the time, but he was right about one thing, she is trouble. You may not be able to see it because you're grieving. I understand that, when mom relapsed I felt like I was drowning in sadness. It's got to be even worse for you with Emily after everything you did to find your way back to each other. Right now, you probably want a distraction, something to make you forget. Claudia is not the answer. You can't hide from your grief forever, Nikolas. Sooner or later you're going to have to face it.
Robin: Did you page me?
Patrick: No, I did.
Robin: Is it about a patient? Because if not, I have a lot of work to do.
Patrick: It's about your blog.
Robin: Oh, about how you sabotaged it?
Patrick: Technically, Spinelli did.
Robin: I knew it. There was no way that I could get over a thousand posts within a half an hour, all negative.
Patrick: Of course you can't, because everybody loves your blog.
Robin: And that just drives you crazy, doesn't it? The fact that I am getting more positive feedback on mine than on yours. Sounds to me like someone has a case of blog envy.
Patrick: Robin, I don't have blog envy.
Robin: Right -- normal, rational adults don't hire computer hackers to spam a web forum about pregnant mothers.
Patrick: I wanted you to know what it felt like to have faceless strangers making up stories about you and judging your life.
Robin: Well, you know there's another way of dealing with it rather than involving Spinelli. You could have just ignored it.
Patrick: Well, trust me, it won't happen again.
Robin: Uh-huh, until you do a rant about it on your own blog.
Patrick: Don't worry, I am sorry I started this competition.
Robin: So am I.
Patrick: Good, so it's over.
Robin: Yeah.
Robin: As soon as you post an apology on my blog.
Patrick: Saying what?
Robin: Saying you were wrong.
Maxie: Robin is freaking out. You have to take all those negative comments Patrick made you put on there off her blog site now.
Spinelli: The Jackal will remove said spam and send it the way of the dodo-
Maxie: Just do it, Spinelli. You know, I don't understand why you helped him anyway. If he wasn't paying you, what were you getting from it?
Spinelli: Instruction.
Maxie: Instructions on?
Spinelli: Um, the subject is of a most personal nature.
Maxie: Personal? Patrick's a brain surgeon, what could he possibly have to -- oh my god, Spinelli. Did Sonny cause permanent brain damage when he slammed you into that wall? Why didn't you tell me? Have you been having headaches, feeling dizzy?
Spinelli: The Jackal appreciates Maximista's concern, although unfounded. The Jackal is in perfect health, despite a questionable diet of orange soda and barbecue chips.
Maxie: Then why did you help him?
Spinelli: Oh, h -- success. The negative posts have been successfully deleted from Robin's baby blog, and the incident is happily behind us.
Maxie: Oh, no, not yet, because I had to leave work to help Robin sort this out, and now Kate's going to fire me. So yet again, Spinelli, you're going to help me fix it.
Jax: I didn't invest a significant amount of time and money in this magazine so you could tell us what to do.
Sonny: I guess you missed the part where I got a better deal, Jax.
Jax: I don't care if you could get "Crimson" distributed for free, Sonny -- I don't want to work with you. But if you want Sonny involved, perhaps you can buy me out.
Sonny: Why, I'm not a criminal anymore.
Jax: Ha ha. First of all, I don't believe you. And even if I did, you're so tainted it wouldn't matter. I don't want this magazine viewed as some kind of a money laundering scheme, because that is exactly what would happen.
Sonny: I have no intention of buying into your magazine.
Jax: No, you just want to make the decisions for it.
Sonny: No, and I'm going to tell you one other thing -- I'm not going to apologize for helping Kate. As a matter of fact, I may do it 20,000 times from now, and you're not going to tell me nothing.
Kate: Jax, I would never let him do something illegal for the magazine, all right?
Jax: You know, Kate, if you want to be with Sonny on a personal level, that's up to you. But you keep your nose out of my business, you stay away from my family.
Sonny: Right.
Sonny: What the hell got into him?
Kate: Sonny, Sonny.
Sonny: What?
Kate: He's "Crimson's" principal investor, he has a right to make some demands, ok?
Sonny: Oh?
Kate: I really think that we need to keep this business and personal thing separate, right?
Kate: Huh?
Kate: It's not a good idea. I mean, after all, I can be a tyrant at work. I don't want you to see that side of me.
Sonny: You know what would make me feel better?
Kate: Mm-mm.
Sonny: Kissing you.
Kate: I can do that personally.
Patrick: I have no problem apologizing to you. But I am not going to record it and broadcast it all over the internet.
Robin: Ok, so I just want to be clear, you're still refusing to admit that you were wrong.
Patrick: No, no, I am refusing to invite misinformation and criticism about me and my life. This was your thing. You handle it however you want. From now on, I'm out of it.
Robin: Fine. I still think you're being ridiculous about the whole thing.
Patrick: Robin, I didn't come here to fight, I came here to tell you that I was responsible for all the negative comments, and I'm sorry about that, and you can stop driving yourself crazy.
Robin: Me? I'm not the one with the issues. You are the one that can't bear to acknowledge that you are a child.
Patrick: Ok, well, as childish as I am, I'm going back to Jake's to make sure that I never look at your blog again.
Maxie: Careful.
Spinelli: Has Maximista become so disenchanted with the highly competitive, deeply shallow world of haute couture that she wishes to end her association with the fashionista?
Maxie: I love my job, I would never quit.
Spinelli: Perhaps you might consider adding ice to this boiling beverage before it touches the fair fashionista's lips.
Maxie: Kate likes us to order her lattes scalding so that they are still warm when she drinks them.
Spinelli: Well, if the blisters forming on The Jackal's hand are any indication, she will be most satisfied.
Maxie: Ok, it's going to take a lot more than a latte to keep Kate from firing me, which is why I need your help. How long do you think it will take you to download the new designs from the "Couture" magazine?
Spinelli: Ok, once I jackal into the mainframe -
Maxie: Talk to me so that I understand.
Spinelli: Um, 20 minutes?
Maxie: Ok, well, let's see if I can buy us some time. Can you open the door?
Spinelli: Yeah.
Maxie: It's really hot. Oh, my god.
Spinelli: Look, um, deepest -
Max: Johnny Zacchara's waiting to see you. Do you want me to come in?
Jason: No, no, I want you to find out where the cargo replacement is happening because I want to land another shipment as soon as possible. Call Bernie.
Max: Got it.
Johnny: Pretty bad move doing what you did, setting fire to my father's place and sticking around to watch it burn.
Jason: Well, you blow up another one of my freighters, you're going to lose a lot more than your house.
Johnny: I don't want a war with you.
Jason: Then get your father under control.
Johnny: I can convince my father to back down before somebody else gets hurt, but I need your word that nothing else is going to happen to my family.
Claudia: Are you following me?
Lulu: I'm on my way to work.
Claudia: Well, better get going, wouldn't want you to be late.
Lulu: I have a few minutes and I think I should use it to clarify a few things.
Claudia: It would be a lot safer for you if we didn't have this conversation.
Lulu: I am not afraid of you and I'm sure as hell not going to let a skank take advantage of my grieving brother.
Claudia: Really? How do you plan to stop me, little girl?
Robin: Ok, this is beyond childish. I ask you to post an apology, and you turn around and spam me instead? Nice touch this time, writing the comments yourself.
Patrick: I don't know what you are talking about.
Robin: The 934 comments that were just posted on my blog?
Patrick: Robin, I didn't write anything on your blog.
Robin: You expect me to believe that 934 people all thought I was wrong and posted within the last 20 minutes to tell me so?
Patrick: Well, there must be, because I haven't been near a computer.
Kelly: Hey.
Jax: Thanks for meeting me.
Kelly: Yeah, to be honest I was surprised to get your call. How's -- how's Carly?
Jax: She's coping, she's doing the best she can.
Kelly: Well, thankfully, Carly's not alone, she has you to help her through.
Jax: Yeah, it's a bit of a problem, I don't think I'm helping. You know, there's nothing I could do or say to bring Michael back to his mother.
Kelly: Carly's not the only one who lost a child, Jax. Why don't you -- why don't you take a seat. So, how are you holding up?
Jax: I'm ok. Well, you know, it's just a strange feeling knowing that Michael is gone.
Kelly: Yeah, well, it's a difficult situation, you know. A part of you holds out for hope, but if you do, there will never be any closure.
Jax: You know that Carly and I were trying to, you know, surprise Michael and Morgan with a brother or sister. And after we lost the baby, you said that we should just try again. And I was just wondering if you meant that or if you were just trying to soften the blow. And I would really appreciate the truth. Can Carly and I still have a baby?
Spinelli: Interrupting Mr. Sir's most private of moments with our unannounced and clearly ill-timed arrival was a most egregious offense. And no doubt the fashionista will be most mortified that we witnessed her in such an undignified posture.
Maxie: Why would Kate be embarrassed? It's just sex, and from what I could see, pretty hot sex. Not that I'm surprised, it's just the kind of man Sonny is. So passionate, he makes you forget everything, even to lock the door.
Spinelli: Does Maximista find Mr. Sir attractive?
Maxie: Not Sonny specifically. There would really be no point. I mean, he's so in love with Kate. But someone like Sonny, dark and dangerous, who knows what he wants and when he wants it, who would take you right on top of the table? Yeah, I'd say I'm definitely into that.
[Door opening]
Spinelli: Mr. Sir, The Jackal is - is mortified. I'm so -
Sonny: Listen to me. Show a little more discretion, or The Jackal will be extinct.
Maxie: See what I mean? Dark, dangerous, sexy? What woman could resist?
Johnny: Trevor and Ric are trying to convince my father to escalate. They're trying to see this as an opportunity to create a power base in Port Charles. If you let them provoke you, you'll be starting a war you might not be able to finish.
Jason: I chose to warn him once. If Anthony leaves me alone, I'm gonna leave him alone, if not, I'm going to take appropriate action.
Johnny: You know, you could be the one that ends up dead.
Jason: Well, I got nothing to live for. But I'm gonna tell you what, I'm not going to let your father take what's mine or threaten anyone under my protection.
Nikolas: Hey. It's kind of strange talking to you like this. I haven't been back here since the funeral. I didn't need to. When I came home, you were standing in my living room. [Chuckles] Yeah, just as beautiful and perfect as always. It was like an answer to my prayers, it really was. I didn't have to feel this feeling that I feel now, this overwhelming emptiness inside. This is just -- it's really hard, because when I think of the years that lie ahead, I just -- I can't imagine them without you. I really can't. So anyway, I went riding last night -- and I know, I know, don't say it. You hate it when I ride in the dark, I know. Of course, I went too fast, took way too many risks, and I fell off. I was really hoping that you'd come out there and find me so I could hear you yell at me. I know that you want me to go on for Spencer and to live my life and find new love again. I know you want that for me. But, damn it, I just don't know how to do it. Because all I want to do is be with you, that's all I want.
Lulu: You want to get laid, go find Sonny again, but stay away from my brother.
Claudia: I have had just about enough of your big fat mouth talking about me like you know me. You don't know a damn thing about me.
Lulu: I know that Johnny pities you and that's the only reason he puts up with your craziness.
Claudia: I watched you chase after my brother, acting like a crazy fool. Because I let you get away with it, you think you can dictate to me what I do? Let me give you a little piece of advice, ok? If I ever hear anything even remotely resembling attitude coming out of your mouth again, it will be the last thing you ever say, promise.
Lulu: Ooh, are you actually threatening to kill me right now?
Claudia: You are long overdue for a lesson, Lulu, and there's lots of ways I can make you pay.
Carly: Ok, if you're looking for a fight, I'd be more than happy to give you one.
Patrick: Can we stop blogging?
Carly: Apologize to Lulu.
Claudia: Get out of my way.
Jax: Having another child could give Carly hope again.
Diane: Go and get her.

Robin: "With all your self-absorbed navel pondering, you show no consideration for the father of your child. Really, lady, where would you be without him? You must be the most self-centered, narcissistic" -- I mean, before, I could write off the fake e-mails as just petty and childish. But this is mean.
Patrick: Robin, do you really think that I would say anything like that about you? Ok, to begin with, it's simply not true. Second of all, I would never disrespect you like that.
Robin: What about Spinelli?
Patrick: Read it again. Does that sound like Spinelli?
Robin: So you are telling me that there are real people out there that are actually saying this about me.
Jax: You know that Carly had a late-term miscarriage when she was married to Sonny, and the odds of getting pregnant for her were really low. And now she's had another miscarriage.
Kelly: It's difficult, but not impossible for Carly to conceive without fertility treatments.
Jax: Ok, so can we get pregnant again?
Kelly: It's more complicated than that.
Carly: I want you to apologize to Lulu and get out of my hotel.
Claudia: Lulu started this, and I have every intention of finishing it. Get out of my way.
Johnny: The Zaccharas are well-financed and well-connected. Your organization is already in chaos. You're in no position to win a war.
Jason: Ok, I don't really care if that's a warning or a threat, because I will finish whatever your people start.
Coleman: This will settle your stomach, I promise.
Robin: My stomach was fine until I started reading this stuff. I mean, what the hell does T-I-I-C mean?
Coleman: Oh, I'm clueless on that.
Robin: Who are these people and why do they hate me so much?
Patrick: When you open yourself up to the world, it's an invitation for them to judge you.
Robin: Well, I wouldn't mind if it was productive or informative, but that is just nasty.
Patrick: Ok, look, it's the same fifteen people saying what a bitch you are here.
Robin: Nice.
Patrick: And they're wrong, they're wrong. They're just saying that because they think that it's something that you said about me and it's -- you know what? They're allowed to do this anonymously, and it's not fair.
Robin: This was supposed to be a safe place where women could come and be honest about what they were going through.
Coleman: If you want honesty, you got it, girl.
Robin: Fine, but I didn't think I was opening myself up to be attacked and lied about.
Patrick: Look at that. One key and it's gone. They're all history.
Robin: No, wait! Hold on, I haven't read all of them yet.
Patrick: Why would you want to read this crap when it makes you feel lousy? It's not good for you.
Robin: Because I'm the one that started this blog, and when it was all positive, I ate it up. So it's only fair that I accept the negative now.
Maxie: Robin, it's Maxie. Your phone went straight to voicemail, so I assumed you're busy doing something medically important, but I wanted to let you know that I talked to Spinelli, and he feels horrible about helping Patrick spam you, so you can relax. Whatever you see on your website now is for real, ok? Have to go, bye.
Kate: Exactly what website are you referring to?
Maxie: Oh, my cousin Robin started this blog to track her pregnancy, and she kind of dissed her baby's father, and he used Spinelli to get back at her by spamming her website.
Kate: Oh, um -- for a moment I thought that your friend Spinelli had caught some footage on his came phone earlier.
Maxie: Of what? Extreme video of you and Sonny doing the deed on your desk? That would be career suicide, wouldn't it?
Kate: It certainly would, Maxie.
Maxie: Well, I love my job too much to risk losing it. Besides, been there, done that.
Kate: Pardon?
Maxie: I just know what it's like to have a deeply personal moment broadcast on the internet, and I would never, ever subject anyone to that kind of humiliation.
Jason: Last time we had a truce, somebody tried to take out Sonny and put Michael in a permanent coma.
Johnny: Hey, I already told you, that wasn't us.
Jason: Ok, you already told me that your father's a loose cannon that you can only try to control. So if you're really serious about keeping the peace, keep your old man on a short leash.
Johnny: What if I do? How do I know you're not going to target him?
Jason: Ok, all you need to know about me is I will defend what is mine.
Johnny: Ok, do you see what's going on here? Your organization and mine, family and associates, the lines are blurred. There are a lot of people to put at risk, including Lulu Spencer.
[Door opens]
Jason: Ok, I get it.
Spinelli: Stone Cold must grant me refuge or Mr. Sir will certainly exact a terrible price for what I unwittingly witnessed with my own traumatized eyes.
Kelly: Emotions are a powerful element in reproductive medicine. Ok, look, how many times have you heard of a couple trying for years and failing to conceive? And then they bring home their adoptive child and the next thing you know, she's pregnant? Everything from peace of mind to hormones to body chemistry are affected by stress and emotions.
Jax: Right. So you're saying in Carly' current state of mind -
Kelly: There is no grief more profound than losing a child. I'm not sure you want to add the pressure of trying to get pregnant.
Jax: Well, you're wrong. What if having another child could give Carly hope again?
Carly: I've been through a lot worse than you and I'm still standing here.
Claudia: I respect your grief. I am not trying to upset you. My business is with Lulu, and it doesn't need to concern you at all.
Carly: Lulu is my cousin. It concerns me.
Claudia: Fine. My problem with your cousin is that she doesn't know how to mind her own business.
Lulu: It is my business when you start hitting on my brother.
Carly: Knock it off, Lulu.
Claudia: Ok, do you see my point? Why would I let this little twit dictate my personal, private life?
Carly: Your personal, private life isn't very private. In fact, you seem to enjoy announcing it to the world, so you can't get mad at Lulu when she offers an opinion.
Claudia: You want her to stay out of trouble? You tell her to stay the hell away from me and out of my sight.
Lulu: Only when you decide to stay away from Nikolas.
Elizabeth: Nikolas?
Nikolas: Oh. Busted.
Elizabeth: Hey, there's nothing wrong with thinking about them. I remember the day that picture was taken.
Nikolas: Yeah.
Elizabeth: In fact, I think it was Lucky who took it.
Nikolas: Right, it was in the park the day that she pushed me in the fountain.
Elizabeth: What? Oh, come on, let's get this story straight. I think you pushed her in first.
Nikolas: I know, I know. She was so annoyed with me that day.
Elizabeth: Because you were teasing her endlessly. And then she tried to push you in, but couldn't. I think it took all three of us to finally get you in the water.
Nikolas: Lucky wouldn't have helped if you hadn't threatened his life.
Elizabeth: Yeah, well, it worked, didn't it?
Elizabeth: I think about her every single day.
Nikolas: So do I. So, anyway, I have had the operation. I am healthy. Isn't this the point where I rebuild my life instead of wallowing in memories?
Elizabeth: You know, grieving isn't like running a race or climbing a mountain. You don't rush to the finish, because it never really ends. There's always going to be that moment where a memory is going to catch you by surprise. You're going to hear a song. You're going to smell a fragrance. You don't forget. You just have to wait for the sadness to dull over time. And eventually, there's going to be other people and other events that will fill up your life. We'll never stop feeling her absence, and that's ok. That's how we deal with the pain. Just try not to let it paralyze you.
Nikolas: What if I do just the opposite? What if in all my pain and grief, I do something crazy and self-destructive?
Claudia: Let me go ahead and clear this up with both of you. I'm a grown woman. Nikolas is a grown man.
Lulu: And you're using him.
Claudia: Oh, like you're using Johnny?
Lulu: No, because you don't know anything about my relationship with Johnny.
Claudia: That's right. I don't. And you know what? I don't much care. Because I'm normal. If I want to bang your brother on this floor in the lobby, you don't get a vote.
Lulu: Really? Because I'm not going to let you take advantage of my brother.
Claudia: Do you see what my problem is here? By encouraging Lulu, you're giving her confidence that she's not earned. And she's going around stepping on the wrong toes, shooting off her fat mouth, and making enemies that she is clearly not capable of handling.
Lulu: You need to back off or I will go straight to Johnny.
Claudia: Sooner or later, someone is going to give Lulu what she deserves. I can hardly wait.
Lulu: Can you believe her? Can you believe that she is going around right now trying to take advantage of Nikolas while he's grieving? She thinks that -
Carly: What the hell is wrong with you? Claudia Zacchara is dangerous. And I don't mean pull your hair out kind of dangerous. I mean life-destroying dangerous, capable of things that you can't even imagine. You keep your mouth shut. I don't want to lose another person I love.
Maxie: Kyle had a webcam running. The entire time we were having sex, he was streaming the video on the internet for everyone to see.
Kate: I can't imagine how hurtful that would be.
Maxie: Mm, I got over it. What I'm trying to tell you is you don't have to worry about me gossiping about you. I can be discreet.
Kate: Well, I'm glad to hear it, Maxie, because being an assistant at your level, not to mention your developing friendships with designers like Federico, could go to a girl's head.
Maxie: I am completely blown away by this opportunity and very grateful for the people that I am getting to meet. I'm also hoping you'll take me with you to Milan for fashion week, and I would never do anything to ruin that.
Kate: Good. See that you don't.
[Elevator opens]
Maxie: I'll sign for it.
Delivery man: Are you Kate Howard?
Kate: No, but I am.
Delivery man: Then you have to sign.
Kate: Thank you. Oh. Karl came through for me again.
Maxie: Are those Karl Levant's new designs?
Kate: Mm-hmm. Top secret. People would kill to get a sneak peak at his new winter line, but he is letting me see it. You see, Maxie, this -- this is what comes from developing strong relationships, from developing trust. This is how discretion pays off.
Spinelli: Humble apologies for interrupting what is clearly a mobular moment, but The Jackal's need is dire.
Jason: We were finished, weren't we?
Johnny: Just don't let Ric and Trevor force you into open hostility against my father. You'll be playing right into their hand.
[Door closes]
Spinelli: The son of darkness sounds ominous. If The Jackal's arrival undermined a peace accord -
Jason: Tell me what happened.
Spinelli: Pardon?
Jason: You barged in here for a reason. Sonny -- what's something about Sonny?
Spinelli: Oh, yes, The Jackal's very life is in jeopardy.
Jason: Why?
Spinelli: I'm not allowed to speak of it. Mr. Sir said that my life would be forfeited if I opened my mouth.
Jason: Ok, then I would keep your mouth shut.
Spinelli: Wise as always, Zen master. But even grasshopper needs someone with whom to confide, if only to assist in unraveling the truth behind Maximista's very strange reaction to the sight of the fashionista and Mr. Sir en flagrante -
Jason: Stop, stop, stop. You need to say something I can understand or you need to go.
Spinelli: Maximista and I walked in on Kate and Sonny having sex on Kate's desk.
Robin: This person totally hates my guts based on a couple of blogs. Mean, how is that rational?
Patrick: Not as irrational as you reading it and taking it to heart.
Coleman: But he's right. I mean, this internet is full of weirdos and wackjobs. People can say whatever they want on there. I mean, I should know, I -
Patrick: Yeah, let's not go there. But Coleman's right. Look, some guy could blow his relationship and take it out on you, or some woman who can't get pregnant makes you the target of their resentment and envy. People dump their garbage on the internet, Robin. It's not for you to pick up and carry.
Robin: Look, I know I shouldn't care. But it's really hard to be called vindictive and a miserable ho and not take it to heart.
Coleman: Really? Wait, somebody called you a ho?
Robin: Yes, they did. And when people were saying what a jerk you are, which you obviously aren't, I said that you didn't have a right to be upset. But the truth is you did.
Patrick: And you gave me some great advice that I wish I would have taken.
Robin: I told you to ignore the whole thing.
Patrick: Exactly, but I didn't, and look where it got us. So, Robin, can we please stop blogging?
Patrick: No.
Robin: Because that means that a bunch of nasty people are forcing me to give up. And I'm not going to do that.
Carly: What's this?
Jax: Belated celebration.
Carly: What are we celebrating?
Jax: Well, it's supposed to be a picnic in Provence, which is where would have taken us for our first anniversary if things had been different. But it just didn't seem right to celebrate on the actual date. But it's been on my mind, and I wanted you to know that.
Carly: Jax.
Jax: Here. Lilacs from the garden.
Carly: I love them.
Jax: I know. Now, of course, no French picnic worth its weight in pate would ever include frozen pizza, but -
Carly: You always get me frozen pizza, even when we were in Fiji.
Jax: Yeah, I know it makes you happy. You know, I miss seeing you happy.
Carly: I'm not sure if I can manage happy right now. I'm not sure if I ever will.
Jax: It's not really in your nature to drown in sorrow. You'll find a way to get through this. And that's where I come in. We'll get through this together.
Elizabeth: Nikolas, are you in trouble?
Nikolas: No, no, no. I was just -- I was really close to doing something really stupid.
Elizabeth: Well, don't beat yourself up for something you almost did.
Nikolas: This is my life. It's going to be virtually impossible without Emily, I think.
Elizabeth: Difficult -- yeah, absolutely, but not impossible. Someday, you're going to figure out a way to move on.
Nikolas: Someday, someday. You wouldn't happen to have one of those grief calendars on you, would you?
Elizabeth: No.
Nikolas: No? That's all right, I didn't think so. Because I'm having a tough time getting a handle on when that someday is. I mean, what is an acceptable period of mourning, you know? What's too soon? What's long enough?
Elizabeth: There are no time limits.
Nikolas: Well, I mean, in the Vic -- oh, just humor me for a second, all right? In the Victorian era, ok, you couldn't get married until at least a year after your spouse died. But my question to that is, is that at the end of that year, does your grief just magically disappear? And if it did, at least that would be something to look forward to, right? But what if -- what if you're even just attracted to someone before that year ends? Is that -- is that cheating? I mean, can you be unfaithful to a memory?
Elizabeth: Emily would be the first to cheer you on if you met someone. I know that she would want you to fall in love again.
Nikolas: Well, I didn't mean -- I didn't s anything about love. I mean...
Elizabeth: All I can tell you is that you'll know when it's right. But for what it's worth, I think you should take your time, because everything you're feeling right now is channeled through grief and loss.
Elizabeth: And it's going to take a while for you to find your way past it.
Johnny: Hey. You seemed upset in your message. Is my father threatening you?
Lulu: No.
Lulu: Look, I know you love your sister, but I don't think you have a clear picture of who she really is. It's all tied up in your nightmare childhood and losing your mom, but I don't think you understand who Claudia really is.
Johnny: What are you talking about?
Lulu: What she's doing is wrong. You don't take advantage of somebody because they're grieving and because it's easier just because you -
Johnny: Ok, well, who is taking advantage of who?
Lulu: My brother, Nikolas? He's recovering from a brain surgery. The love of his life was murdered less than a year ago. Your sister is sleeping with him.
[Footsteps approach]
Diane: Here for the lattes, Miss Zacchara?
Claudia: Actually, I'm here to see Jason Morgan.
Diane: And is Mr. Morgan expecting you?
Claudia: No, I decided to be spontaneous. But I'm quite sure Mr. Morgan will see me.
Spinelli: The intrusion on Mr. Corinthos, sir, with his lady love was entirely unintentional. But when I tried to explain that to Mr. Corinthos, sir, he pre-emptively threatened my continued existence. Stone Cold, I'm not ready to die.
Jason: You're not -- you're not going to die. Sonny's not going to do anything. Just respect his privacy. That's all you've got to do.
Spinelli: Well, unfortunately, the chosen venue for Mr. Corinthos, sir, and the fashionista's carnal bliss was far from private, being, as it were, on the desk of the fashionista in her not-so-inner sanctum.
Jason: Did you knock?
Spinelli: Stone Cold's point is well-taken. But, see, my quandary extends beyond the simple mechanics of the embarrassing encounter and into the troubled blond one's strange reaction. Ok, rather than expressing dismay at witnessing this w display of sexuality, Maximista almost seemed intrigued.
Jason: This is really between you and Maxie.
Spinelli: Indeed, she even opined on the allure of a man who would throw caution and etiquette to the wind.
[Knocking on door]
Spinelli: To satisfy his partner.
Jason: Come in, please, come in.
Diane: Claudia Zacchara is here to see you.
Jason: Send her in.
Spinelli: Stone Cold, I'm not really done.
Jason: Hey, you know what, Diane? Can you help him with his problems right now, please?
Diane: I'm really not the best person to help Mr. Grasshopper.
Jason: It's really billable.
Diane: Well, I'll do my best.
Claudia: By now, I imagine you've received a peace offering from my family. Don't believe it.
