Jason: You're being too vague for me to have an opinion. Look, I -- I know what the Zaccharas trade in, ok? We're -- we're not even going to touch it.
Claudia: We're going to give Sonny something to look the other way.
Jason: No, Sonny doesn't want drugs in this town, so unless you lied about Michael, you have nothing he wants.
Claudia: Oh, what -- what does Sonny ship? I mean, come on, what does he stick between his beans -- hot chocolate?
Jason: We're done.
Claudia: No, we're not done.
Jason: Well, you better have something else you want to put on the table!
Claudia: Fine, how about Trevor Lansing?
Jason: That might get Sonny's attention.
Claudia: Yeah, especially given their tortured past.
Jason: How -- how do you bring down Trevor without bringing down your whole organization?
Claudia: You let me worry about that, ok? I have ways. I know things. And in time, I will know more things.
Jason: All right, I'll pass that along.
Claudia: Ok, before you do, I have one more question, and I better get the answer I'm looking for.
Maxie: Coop was a smart guy, right? I mean, what if he left behind a clue in case something happened to him? There's some writing on the inside of this paper. It says "T.M.K." And then a dash and some letters and numbers -- "D-R-N-1-7."
What do you think that means?
[Sam groans] Oh --
Claudia: My brother didn't come home last night. So either he got lucky or he got unlucky. You know where he is?
Jason: No, I don't.
Claudia: I think that's truth by omission, but i'll take it. You know Sonny's done something with my Johnny.
Jason: Maybe.
Claudia: No, "maybe" -- that's as good as a "yes."
Jason: That's as good as a "maybe."
Claudia: No, you -- why would you not know for sure? You're Sonny's right-hand man. But I think you're a lot more than that. I think you are all logic and reason, and sonny is all passion and emotion and sweet -- overreaction. It's wasted on Kate Howard, wasted. Who are you wasted on?
Jason: No one.
Claudia: An answer with the colors of a double meaning. Imagine that -- hmm -- a thinking man's hit man. That could give a girl a chill. Ok, back to my brother. Here's what I think. I think something tells me that between Trevor's greed and need to get back at Sonny, and Sonny's ego and need to keep Trevor at bay, John should already be dead. All right, as long as we're talking in maybes, maybe the only reason he's not is because of you. You see something in him maybe? And you see that he is the product of a twisted childhood like so many of us are. You see that he's green, he's rash, but he's caught up in Trevor's web -- there's still a chance for John. There's still a chance for him. He can make something of himself outside of this war, this violence, and revenge.
Jason: Ok, ok.
Johnny's a decent guy. He's just very confused.
Claudia: John still has his soft spots. He still -- he still believes in love. He believes in right and wrong, though he's seen precious little of it. And he has his pride, and he has his father's empire. I'd like to see him hold on to one and turn the other one over to me, because I can take what comes with it. I can take it, and I can dish it right back. I don't give people the benefit of the doubt, and I doubt you do, either, but for some reason, I think you've given it to John.
Jason: Yeah, maybe I have.
Claudia: Ok, so pick up the phone and call Sonny and tell him to release --
Jason: Sonny doesn't like orders, I don't like orders.
Claudia: Great. Ok, you know what? Think of it as a suggestion, that's all. But it's got a time limit. You got 20 minutes, and then all bets are off.
Claudia: And if John's hurt --
Sonny: You don't like to be closed in, do you?
Johnny: What the hell is this place?
Sonny: It's part of a psychiatric clinic -- burned down, abandoned. This is a room where they used to -- the crazy people used to hit themselves against the wall trying to get out, you know, like flies against a windowpane. We're up in the mountains -- good place to keep people on ice.
Johnny: No shirt, no shoes?
Sonny: Yeah.
Johnny: No socks?
Johnny: What's that for?
Sonny: I'll tell you why -- because there's a lot of ice out there, a lot of rocks, a lot of snow. It's a long way down, it's rough on the feet -- rough on anything exposed. As a matter of fact, even if you did try to make it to civilization, something on your -- your hands, your feet would get so frozen, they'd have to cut it off.
Johnny: What the hell am I doing here?
Sonny: My son is missing!
Johnny: I already told you, remember? I have nothing to do with that!
Sonny: Yeah? Well, that's the same thing Trevor told me, and I said, "that answer's not going to get you back!" And then it kind of dawned on me -- and it should dawn on you -- maybe Trevor doesn't want you back.
Sonny: Don't hit your head too hard on the wall.
Lulu: You are not the person who should be helping me with how I feel.
Lucky: About Logan? About him being in a coma, or the fact that you're torn between him and Johnny Zacchara?
Lulu: See? The way your face changes when you say Johnny's name -- that proves my point.
Lucky: Let me prove you wrong, then.
Lulu: Ok, right, ok. So if I said that I have feelings for Johnny, you're not going to come down on me like a ton of bricks?
Lucky: You know we can't control what we feel -- or for who or how it's going to end up. You know I loved Elizabeth, and there's always going to be a part of me that still does. I just hated the lies and the love she feels for Jason, whether she acted on it or not. And then Sam -- she came along, and I thought I knew. I thought I knew who she really was. I knew she was angry and that she wanted to get back at Elizabeth and Jason. And then it started to change and it started to feel good.
Lulu: So what happened?
Lucky: More lies, more secrets.
Lulu: And you and Sam are over?
Lucky: I told her I was. I told myself I was. But I'm not sure. Not until the man who's been trying to kill Sam or the person who ran her down in the road has been dealt with once and for all.
Lulu: This is coming straight back to me, isn't it?
Lucky: You know, you say you have these feelings for Johnny. That -- was that better?
Lulu: Yeah, well, the thought was there.
Lucky: And now you found out the person that you kind of like was a killer, and then found out that he wasn't, now that there's this guilt and this mess.
Lulu: So?
Lucky: So take your time. There. Was that that awful?
[Lucky chuckles]
Elizabeth: Here's Nikolas Cassadine's information and Sam McCall's address and home phone. She has a new cell number, but we don't have that yet.
Ian: You don't like Sam all that much, do you?
Elizabeth: No, I don't.
Ian: Well, that's a good, honest answer. I rely on good, honest nurses. If you do get a number, please let me know -- I need to have her come in for a consultation.
Elizabeth: You're an oncologist.
Ian: Yes, but my old specialty was cosmetic surgery. She has a nasty surgery scar that I promised I'd help take care of. It hasn't begun to work on her yet, but it will. The longer she has that scar, I fear, the more resentment she'll have towards whoever did this to her -- and those are scars that even I can't help fix.
Diego: Whew. [Bomb beeps] [Diego grunts] [bomb beeps]
Monica: Well, the "go red" campaign for heart-health awareness and heart disease prevention is really based on you people -- you survivors. You women who are willing to talk about it to -- to friends, to family, hopefully will reduce the risk of this disease and prevent the heartbreak that comes with it.
Woman: We should begin in our usual way -- by introducing ourselves.
Second woman: My name is Debbie, and I am 49, and I had a heart attack last year.
Third woman: Hi, I'm Molly, I'm 29, and I had patent ductus arteriosus.
First woman: I'm Suzanne, I'm ageless --
[laughter]
Suzanne: And I had aortic graft repair and mitral valve repair.
Woman: I'm Maria, and when I was 38 years old and three months after I gave birth to a little baby girl, I had a series of heart attacks.
Second woman: Hi, my name's Evin, and I'm an R.N. With heart disease.
Suzanne: Oh, you must be Epiphany Johnson. We've been waiting for you. Please join us. Cassius: Hey, where are you going?
Epiphany: Somewhere that I can be useful because I am not into clubs.
Monica: "Go red for women" is not a club, it's a movement.
Leo: And anyone who sponsors it or shares in it is saving lives.
Monica: Basically, it's a wake-up call for women to end an epidemic of ignorance, suffering. Come on, Epiphany, you are a nurse, you know what it's like, you know what kind of a force you are. People look up to you.
Leo: They're afraid of you.
Monica: And they'll listen to you. And you can save a life and keep somebody out of a hospital bed.
Epiphany: Why does this feel like an intervention to me?
Monica: Well, because maybe it is. Maybe it's time for you to be aware of just how important you could be. Listen, my friend, we both had breast cancer. We both didn't want anyone to know. We didn't want anyone to see that we were weak because we weren't weak. We got through it because we were strong.
Cassius: Now you go in there and show them how strong you are.
Jason: No -- no, Sonny, you're not -- you're not hearing me. Claudia Zacchara is offering a deal.
Sonny: What I know is my son is still missing. What I'm hearing is you going soft. What I hear is you trusting a conniving witch like Claudia Zacchara, and now you're trying to convince me to give up my ace in the hole. What I hear is you being this big brother for Johnny, and I'll tell you what, I am not going to tell you where he is. As a matter of fact, what would you do if your son was missing?
Jason: Leave Jake out of this.
Sonny: You know what? Leave Johnny out of this. Because what I need you to do is find my son. I want you to find whoever shot Kate. Stop getting yourself tied up in things that don't matter and confusing your priorities.
Jason: I also got to find the guy who killed my sister -- I'm working on everything. Don't tell me what my priorities are.
Claudia: Sonny's bad taste in Jamaican blue is rivaled only by his bad taste in blondes. What did he say?
Jason: I can talk to him.
Claudia: Obviously you can't.
Jason: This is -- this is his son we're talking about.
Claudia: This is -- Johnny is someone's son, too. This is a shame, you know that? Me and Sonny started out on such a good note. You knew that, right? You suspected, but you were discreet.
Jason: It's none of my business.
Claudia: Well, I'm wondering, would it be Kate Howard's business?
Sam: Ow. [Banging] Sam: Agh -- agh -- ow.
Diego: Yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes -- it's the same room, silly. [Diego laughs] See, I knew that if I decided to keep one of you here, you were going to try to find a way out while I was gone, so I provided one. Oh, you're going to love it -- I rearranged all the ducting, right, to make a maze to bring you right back to me. And then I switched the grille and turned off the lights so you wouldn't know.
Sam: Bastard.
[Diego chuckles] Oh, Sam -- Sam. Do you really want those to be your last words, huh? Come on --
Sam: Come on, please --
Diego: Get up, get up, get up, get up, get up.
Sam: Ow.
Diego: There you go.
Sam: Ow!
Diego: Now, listen, it's time for us to go -- literally. So I have to --
Sam: Ow --
Diego: Make a little stop along the way, I got to buy some time. And in order to do that, we have to make your bon voyage very convincing.
Nikolas: I don't want to do this to you.
Emily: Nikolas, I want to do this -- for you and for Jason, for all the victims and their families. Just try to focus on what you saw and go beyond it. Just try to remember it all with me.
Nikolas: All right.
Emily: No!
Nikolas: I can't protect you anymore, you can't stay here!
Emily: No, Nikolas, I never should've left you.
Nikolas: But don't you understand? Don't you understand? I'm the one you need to be afraid of.
Emily: No, Nikolas, you would never hurt me!
Nikolas: But you have to leave! You have to leave here right now!
Emily: No, I'm staying here!
Nikolas: You can't, you can't.
Emily: I'm staying here!
Nikolas: Do you understand me? You can't --
Emily: [Echoes] Nikolas! [Emily gags] [Emily gasps]
Nikolas: Huh? Emily? Emily, come here. Come here. Oh, no -- no! Oh, God. Please, not again. Please, don't leave me again!
[Epiphany sighs] I'm Epiphany Johnson, and I want to be more than a survivor. I want to be a teacher.
Sonny: Kate says you were the last person who saw her before she got shot -- and you weren't very nice.
Trevor: I didn't shoot Kate, and I don't know who did. [Trevor groans]
Sonny: My son is still missing, Trevor.
Trevor: And it doesn't surprise me -- but I really don't know about it, either.
Sonny: You know, for somebody who always has all the answers, you're pretty stupid today.
Trevor: You know, when I am out of here, the cops are going to be all over you with assault charges.
Sonny: Who says you're getting out of here?
[Creaking]
Johnny: Hey!
Jason: There are ways to play this that can make things better or a lot worse.
Claudia: Spoken like a true peacekeeper. Something tells me you're going to have your hands full trying to do that after today.
Spinelli: That's the daughter of darkness herself, the simmering sinstress.
Maxie: Please focus -- what do you think those numbers mean?
Spinelli: I think I have a correlation here.
Maxie: To what? Is it going to lead us to the text message killer or not?
Lulu: I think you two have done enough already!
Nikolas: No, no, you can't go, I won't let you go this time. Don't, don't.
Emily: Nikolas -- see the rest. See the rest. [Emily gags] Agh!
[Diego grunts]
Nikolas: Diego.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Patrick: Now that you're back, we need to talk about the baby.
[Muffled screams]
Nikolas: I know who murdered Emily -- Diego Alcazar.
Feb 28, 2008 07:00
Ian: Yes but the right begin which is the right balance with a tease of hto to take the burn off the booze, that my friend -- how about a couple of beers.
Patrick: Yeah. That sounds good.
Ian: All right.
Patrick: Hey where have you been?
Robin: I took an afternoon and evening off to think.
Patrick: And?
Robin: And I thought. And now I'm back and I have rounds.
Patrick: Okay well now that you're back, Robin we need to talk about the baby.
Jax: There you are. What are you doing?
Carly: I'm painting the nursery.
Jax: Could you stop for a second?
Carly: You know this color looked a lot better in the store. Sure it did.
Jax: I need to talk to you.
Carly: I need to finish. And if I don't like it I can paint over it but what I can't do is sit around waiting for the phone to ring or think of places where Michael might go. I can't do that.
Jax: I know. I couldn't sit around anymore either.
Carly: What did you do?
Jason: What if you're wrong. If if they don't have Michael?
Sonny: Okay Jason, Michael disappeared the same day Kate was shot. They found his backpack floating a few piers away right near where I found Kate. Stop defending the enemy.
Jason: I'm trying to find Michael.
Sonny: Then find him.
Jason: Okay there is something else.
Sonny: What?
Jason: Claudia. Yeah Claudia is trying to find Johnny. Sonny: She won't.
Jason: What do you mean she won't? Sonny?
Emily: Nikolas I want to do this for you and for Jason and for all the victims in your family. Just try to focus on what you saw and go beyond it. Try to remember it all with me. Nikolas: All right.
Nikolas: I can't protect you anymore. You can't stay here.
Emily: I never should have left you. Don't you understand -- Nikolas.
Nikolas: You have to leave right now.
Emily: You can't, do you understand me if you --
Nadine: Nikolas! Nikolas, Nicolas I'm sorry but I waited as long as I could. Did it show you what happened that night?
Nikolas: Yes.
Nadine: And do you remember if someone was with you when she died?
Nadine: Did you see a face?
Nadine: what is what is it? Nikolas: He killed her. He killed her.
Elizabeth: Help me, help, help, help! Help, help! Robin: There is nothing to talk about. You and I and my baby are all in positions of comfort. All of our futures and responsibilities are mapped out accordingly. Mother, baby, you, there is no sense in talking about changing history.
Patrick: Changing it no. Lying about it is something else.
Joe: Dr. Drake, look, I'm really sorry. I don't mean to bother you but I don't know who else to talk to here. Look you've been really good to us. Posting my bail getting me a job -- well I don't know it's the baby but nobody wants to tell me anything. I need to be able to make the right --make the right decisions and it's making me crazy.
Patrick: I know exactly how you feel. Dr. Scorpio and I will both see what you can do. Right doctor?
Jax: Look I know you don't want to go against Jason and tell the police that Michael is missing but I'm wondering a lot about this.
Carly: What do you mean?
Jax: What if this had nothing to do with the mob. What if Michael's disappearance had nothing to do with Sonny or Jason. What if after he hung up the phone he hurt himself and he needs his help.
Carly: I don't want to think about that Jax.
Jax: I put my corporate investigative team on Michael's case. They know how do be discreet okay and this is what they do. This is their main thing they know how to find everybody and -- it's an insurance term that stands for kidnap and ransom.
Carly: They know how to find people that this has happened to.
Jax: Yeah and they know how to work outside the law. But they also have access to legitimate law enforcement systems as well. They might be a able to pick up on something that Sonny has missed. And you're mad.
Lulu: Now look what you did nlts what I. What I did. Thanks to the two of you I freaked out on Logan and find out that you guys were wrong all along he wasn't the killer.
Maxie: We didn't do anything. Spinelli was trying to protect your fairness.
Lulu: You said that you had proof.
Spinelli: Okay I understand your anger and remorse but, I only chose to share may I reemphasize my -- our circumstantial evidence against the --
Maxie: and knowing spinelli and his blind waste of affection for you he probably told you about Logan hoping you would have the brains enough to stay away from him.
Lulu: Because you were so sure he was guilty.
Maxie: It wasn't us. It was you. And if you didn't lean on every guy that came into your life you wouldn't have to beat them off with a stick or in this case wrench.
Lulu Better off than the guys you date that wind up drug addicts or dead.
Maxie: Get off of me before I hit you!
Jason: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Lulu:Yeah because you didn't believe him when he said he wasn't -- because you guys are poking around in things you shouldn't and leading people to believe things that are not true.
Maxie: At least I refuse to believe Coop was guilty. You doubted Logan and wound up almost killing him.
Spinelli: The blond one and I --
Jason: you and your blonde ones need to stay out of things.
Spinelli: But just embarking on a new clue.
Jaosn: Which is going to do what? Lead to somebody else who is innocent. The killer is still out there. I can not take one more crazy scenario about who it could be. Emily.
Nikolas: I made her see everything. The pain, fear, God, it may have been a hallucination. Didn't make it less painful to watch her die all over again.
Nadine: It's like not being able to save the person you loved all over again.
Nikolas: What if that's it. What if watching her die served her purpose again. What if I never see her again.
Nadine: But you saw the killer's face right?
Nadine: And it's someone you can identify?
Nikolas: (Groaning sound). Yes.
Nadine: Well then you have a chance to champion Emily and all the other victims of this guy. You can see that justice is served and probably save someone else from getting hurt.
Nikolas: Don't you think I want to but I have a brain tumor that caused me to hallucinate and talk to my dead fiance.
Nadine: Just because you're seeing what is true now doesn't mean it didn't happen.
Nikolas: I'm having trouble with this one.
Nadine: With what?
Nikolas: With the killer. The man, the man I saw strangling Emily. Is supposed to be dead.
Jason: You just need to get off this private eye thing right now. Go have a free coffee.
Spinelli: We can order.
Maxie: I will come find you so we can look -- why couldn't you stay there for me?
Jason: You need to quit fooling around with her. I need to tell you some things, okay? This can not be public knowledge, do you understand that?
Spinelli: By order of discretion.
Jason: Michael is missing.
Spinelli: The little dude missing,.
Jason: Carly is letting me handle this for now. One of our men found Michael's back pack down on the docks just before Kate was shot. Secret discreet things. I found gun oil in Michael's backpack. He actually bought bullets so I need to know every punk with a prior who deals with kids do you understand that?
Spinelli: Okay.
Jason: The second thing I is need security footage from every security camera where Kate was shot. Last, do everything you can, cross reference the possibility that Lorenzo Alcazar is still alive. Somebody has been making withdrawals from his private accounts for months now. Get on it. Get on it. No, no.
Nikolas: Jason I need to talk to you.
Jason: I dot toi got to go.
Nikolas: I know who killed Emily.
Jason: Who?
Nikolas: Diego Alcazar.
Nadine: Do you believe Nikolas?
Jason: Withdrawals have been made out of bank accounts and only two people had access. Max, where are you right now? Just stop, stop what you're doing right now I need you to do something for me right away.
Woman: Around these parts, people don't care much what you do to trespassers.
Michael: It was cold.
Woman: That's life Bunky.
Michael: My name is not Bunky. It's --
Woman: there is plenty of time for our introductions. Now, you're not from here. I would say it means you might be running away. And the question is from what? From who?
Mike: I know that look. It's the same one after all these years. It says what are you doing here?
Sonny: What are you doing here? Max: Hey! Hold it right there. Don't move or i will shoot you.
Kelly: The symptoms have gotten worse and i don't have a clue why. She developed a rare case of anemia.
Robin: That's what happened to Mrs. Quinn. Remember Mrs. Quinn my patient that went occupant out during the surgery.
Patrick:The one taking her medication. That's what it was why.
Ian: Her patient was she taking any over the counter bargain basement supplements.
Robin: I don't know I can check.
Ian: You're going to have a parents worse nightmare on your hands. Check fast.
Mike: Well, what I'm doing here is I came to find out if there is any news on Michael.
SonnY: How do you know?
Mike: Hey look I got ears on the street too you know and the funny thing is you wouldn't tell Michael's grandfather that his grandson was missing. But then I'm sitting here and I'm looking at this beautiful woman and the other word on the street finally comes to me, that you proposed to her. My son found someone to marry again. And I thought to myself how great is that? But then I realized, you didn't even introduce me to her now why is that? Let me -- let me die thinking I'm still on the outside of your life. Because I'm starting to rub me raw in a few places.
Spinelli: Jackal understands that the last person to view highly sensitive material had their eyes squeezed out of them and served to them as cocktail onions.
Maxie: You're kidding? Right?
Spinelli: There, okay. All programs running to find all the things that Stone Cold was asking of me.
Maxie: Just like that you're giving up? Jason waves his magic finger and you're back to playing second banana. What happened to PI Jackel?
Spinelli: Found an interesting correlation between the numbers coop wrote on the back of the -- and the city work system.
Maxie: What area.
Spinelli: There is a good chance this could lead us to the hideout of the killer.
Maxie: What area?
Spinelli: There is -- say it. The sewer system.
Maxie: No one.
Spinelli: Keep it that way i'll take it from here.
Maxie: We will.
Max: Is that Elizabeth Webber? What's so special about your face you got to keep it covered tough guy? Step away from the car and put your hands in the air. Don't do it.
(Gunshot sounds)
Feb 28, 2008 07:01
Ian: Your patient has been taking counterfeit drugs. Mass produced placebos, i seen them show up in a range of medications all throughout the formula. Treatment is post naizal nasal drip to chemotherapy.
Patrick: How do you know about all this.
Ian: I always know where my medications come from. I seen them being made and i've seen them save the patients lucky enough to live in the right country have the right number of 0s in their bank account to get their hands on.
Patrick: I didn't think it hit so close to home.
Ian: Counterfeit drug rings aren't just driving up insurance claims they're killing people.
Kelly: I need clear heads. Angie and her baby just went critical.
Patrick: You think you can do this?
Ian: I think I can help with this how about it?
Patrick:You got a clear head and hand, let's go.
Sonny: I appreciate you, you know, asking about Michael and -- but I don't think right now is the right time to --
Mike: wait a minute. It's never the right time. Either you're involved in something that takes your attention or messes messes with your moods or you get happy.Or it's happy because you allow yourself and I'm the last thing on your mind.
Sonny: No real coincidences.
Mike: It's not that I don't have some of that coming. I probably look to you like you and your mother were the last thing on my mind all those years growing up.
Sonny: This is what you're going to tell me otherwise.
Mike: I'm not going to tell you how to feel about me or anybody else. It's nice that you found somebody. I remember this one Easter I went back to the old neighborhood and I was hoping maybe I could see you and your mother and Deke was home alone, he had no idea where in the hell ou were so I went down to verve and took a window seat. And I looked out the window and there you are across the street and you've got this girl with you. And it was really warm out and she was dressed all in yellow and she had this hat, Easter hat and it had flowers all over it and it was big yellow ribbon. She put it on. And she did this walk. You know, it was like one of those fashion show things. And you looked at her and you smiled and then you laughed and it blew me away. And it's what kept me from going out and saying anything to you because I didn't want to ruin it. I didn't want to take that smile from you. And I sat there and I thought how great it would be if you found someone to make you do that for the rest of your life.
Sonny: Yeah, yeah it would.
Lulu: Hi it's me. Again. I'm just wondering what went wrong and if you're okay. I came to meet you like you said and you didn't show up so I -- i'm just wondering what went wrong. I'm sorry to repeat myself. A lot of things have happened, alot of confusing stuff I guess that's why i sound so confused. Okay I hate this. I'm going to come find you.
Jason: You don't know what you're dealing with.
Nikolas: No actually I do. I'm dealing with a man who murdered my fiance, I understand she was your sister and the two of you thought the world of each other but I was supposed to marry her and Diego Alcazar took that away from me. And I'm not going to sit on the side while you go out and fix things. Not this time.
Jason: Yeah.
Max: Boss.
Jason: Max where are you?
Max: Sam's place the parking garage like you said.
Jason: What's wrong with you?
Max: I got hit.
Jason: You got hit by who. What did you see.
Max: Elizabeth.
Mike: Hey I'll leave you two alone.
Sonny: No wait, wait,. There is still nothing on Michael.
Mike: All right I'll keep listening out there. Listen by the way, do you know who I meant the girl with the Easter hat?
Mike: Whatever happened to her?
Sonny: Um... I let her get away, yeah, and -- but I'm not going to let that happen again.
Mike: It would be nice if we could come back. But sometimes you try and it doesn't work out. Look, I know that we're better than we used to be but I also know that you still have a hard time giving people any kind of leeway. I mean if you get it set in your mind it's in stone and especially if you feel like somebody has something against you. I mean, people work very hard to make sure that sonny forgives them because there is hell to pay if they don't. I mean I know. I'm not arguing with that. Everybody makes mistakes.
Sonny: Yeah. Big ones.
Mike: Right. Even you, okay? And even if you don't think you've made one yet, you will. Some day, somebody is not going to forgive you even though you want them to and I don't know who that is going to be. Your wife, your son, your brother. Somebody even worse.
Sonny: What are you a fortune teller now?
Mike: No. Just a father who wants to be around once when you smile.
Sonny: Before you leave, I want to thank you for what you did for Michael. I appreciate what you did there.
Mike: Forgiveness is a good thing. Even if we only learn how to forgive ourselves.
Kate: He's right you know.
Woman: Quit eating those chocolates so fast. On an empty stomach. I don't want you to puke all over my stuff. Well i clean it up more when the weather is good. My name is Peg.
Michae;" I'm Michael.
Woman: Are you an old hand on breaking and entering or is this a first offence? Do you take drugs?
Michael: No.
Peg: Does your family slap you around? Michael: No.
Peg: What happened?
Michael: I did something. Bad. And no one can forgive me. Especially my father. Well thank you for the food but I really have to --
Peg: Whoa, you aren't going anywhere.
Jax: Okay, thanks. My investigative team they put michael's case on the private database. This way it will be handled quickly and discreetly. A good start, we should know something soon.
Carly: Yeah, okay.
Jax: Okay.
Carly: Wow, this is -- the color is pretty bad, huh? Our baby is going to think it was swallowed up by a big giant green frog. I can hear her or him crying from the naight nightmares of it all. I can imagine one of outside or both of us walking into her room. Or his.
Jax:: Or his room and Michael doing his best to calm his new baby sister.
Carly: Or baby brother. More likely baby sister, so we can all go to sleep. I don't know maybe it's not so bad right?
Jax: Well, you know, I'm no interior design expert, but, you know, you basically go with what you say. But... In my humble opinion as a pros peckive parent it's awful. Pretty darn awful, yeah.
Jason: Hey. Tell me exactly what you saw.
Nadine: He's in pain give him a chance to breathe.
Max: He fell back and i hit my head.
Nadine: You need to see a doctor you might have a concussion.
Jason: Hold on what did you see exactly.
Jason: What about the driver?
Max: I couldn't see him he had a mask on.
Nikolas: Sam was released from the hospital, did you see her. Max: I didn't see Sam.
Diego: Don't, don't bother, you're going for the whole ride. And don't try the door because the child safety locks are on. Sit back, relax, shut the hell up.
Elizabeth: Who are you?
Diego: Well if you had your phone I would send you a text message.
Elizabeth: You killed Emily. My best friend.
Diego: Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know.
Elizabeth: You're sick.
Diego: If you ask the police I'm the working dead. I'm dead.
Elizabeth: Who are you? Who are you?, Patrick: Where are you going?
Robin: I have to find the father. I have to find Joe and I have to tell him.
Patrick: You don't have to you're exhausted.
Robin: I'm fine. I want to do it. I can do it.
Patrick: You can do it and you can do everything there is nothing you can't handle on your own. Is that why you haven't told me the truth about the baby?
LuLu: Hello? Johnny? Hello? Hi, is Johnny here? Claudia: Who wants to know?
Sonny: Hi. How much of that did you hear?
Kate: Just bits and pieces. Something about Michael?
Sonny: You need to focus on yourself and getting better. Nothing else.
Kate: You were talking about me. You and me. I know. I hated that outfit. I wore it for my mother.
Sonny: And I got to tell you, I hated that hat. It was the worst.
Kate: My cousin Gloria gave me that hat. She knew I was into fashion and she thought it was very fashionable. I knew I had to get out of there. I guess. It's not why I had to get away from you.
Sonny: My father thinks I need to work on forgiveness.
Kate: We all have things we need to work on Sonny. Isn't it about time we decide to work on them together?
Spinelli: Is it exactly as the jekyll predicted. Letters to match exactly. Somehow this is the path that leads us to the text message killer's secret lair.
Jason: Something tells me i'm not going to like this very much. Sam.
Elizabeth: Why did you kill emily? She didn't do anything to you.
Diego: Well she was jason's sister and Jason needed to pay for what he did to my father. Sit down, shut up and sit down. Shut up. Sit down.
On the next General Hospital:
Sonny: Do you still want anything to do with me after what i've done to you?
Mar 1, 2008 12:06
Robin: You pick the worst time to have meaningless arguments.
Patrick: So you being pregnant is suddenly meaningless?
Robin: When it comes to you, yes.
[Ian sighs]
Ian: Has anyone broken the news to the father yet?
Patrick: I was about to, but Dr. Scorpio's determined to do things on her own.
Kate: What do you mean, "work on things together"?
Sonny: What I mean is, you came here, you -- you distanced yourself from Manhattan, right? You -- you're determined to start over with me, and I don't know how to --
Kate: And you acted like a rejected schoolboy. It's somehow appealing on you. Especially when you smile.
Sonny: This whole thing is just -- well, it's taking me way off my game, you know? And I just want to ask you, do you -- do you still want anything to do with me after what I've done to you?
Kate: Why? What have you done to me?
Lulu: Hello? Johnny? Hello?
[Door opens]
Lulu: Hi. Uh -- is Johnny here?
Claudia: Who wants to know?
Lulu: I'm a friend of Johnny's.
Claudia: Hmm. I didn't know Johnny had any friends. Tell me, friend, aren't you afraid of what happens to little girls like you who play with big boys like Johnny Zacchara?
Maxie: Oh! Oh! Spinelli, something moved!
Spinelli: Arthropod or annelid?
Maxie: What? Who cares? It was hatched in the sewer with enough legs to be really disgusting.
Spinelli: Okay, private investigative rule number 26 -- sometimes when walking in the footsteps of the killer, the most brilliant clue can be found in the darkest of places.
Alexis: Sam, it's your mother. Will you do me a favor? Please call me. I'm very worried about you. I am not comfortable with you being out there alone. The killer's still out there. He came after you once, and I don't care if you think I'm a nag. Call me.
[Beeping]
Jason: Whew.
Elizabeth: Why did you kill Emily? She didn't do anything to you!
Diego: Oh, she was Jason's sister, and Jason needed to pay for what he did to my father. Agh!
[Tires screech]
Diego: Oh! Sit down! Shut up and sit down! Shut up! Sit down!
Elizabeth: Closed bridge!
[Elizabeth screams]
Diego: Oh!
[Glass shatters]
Sonny: Well, you know, the truth is, I can -- I can name a lot of things that I've done to you that sound pretty unforgivable. Why are you smiling about that?
Kate: It's the medication. You said the word "pretty" and it made me think of Celeste Tesoro.
Sonny: Ah --
Kate: Right? Well, she said that you were pretty. I said you were handsome. And we fought. It escalated. I flushed her rosary. She planted cigarettes in my locker.
[Kate chuckles]
Kate: And it went on and on for, like, three months.
Sonny: So you fought over me?
Kate: Well, it was easier than fighting with you.
Sonny: Right.
Kate: You were saying something about all the awful things you've done to me.
Sonny: Well, first of all, you -- you're in here because of me.
Kate: Sonny, you don't know that.
Sonny: Yes, I do know that. You want to -- you want to tell me about your not-so-nice encounter with Trevor the day you were shot?
Kate: He was inappropriate.
Sonny: Huh. Well, that's -- that's a permanent state of mind for Trevor. What did he want?
Kate: Me, I guess.
Sonny: Did he know where you were headed next?
Kate: Yeah, but I --
Sonny: What was the last thing he said to you?
Kate: He said, "You'll live to regret it." Sonny, I don't think that he would shoot me. The bullet at -- at Metro Court was an accident. And yeah, he'd take advantage of an accidental bullet, but I don't think he'd out and out kill me.
Sonny: Trevor is desperate. He's making inroads. He wants aces to hold.
Kate: I liked the conversation better when we were talking about you being pretty.
Sonny: Even if it wasn't Trevor, it had to be somebody in the Zacchara organization who did it, and a lot more. But it's okay, because -- ahem -- I'm holding aces of my own.
Milo: Keep it down. You're going to wake up the bears. They should be getting hungry right about now.
Johnny: Sonny's making a big mistake. I don't know a damn thing about who took his kid or Kate Howard.
Milo: Well, when you get some inspiration, let me know.
Lulu: Johnny and I had a date and he didn't show.
Claudia: So? What, are you two joined at the hip now?
Lulu: Huh -- well, it's not like Johnny to stand me up. I mean -- well, it is, but not this time. It was different.
Claudia: Because you had sex? Don't get nervous. I read people. That's what I do. For instance, I read that you wouldn't even be here unless you had a lot of guts.
Man: I'm sorry, Ms. Zacchara. She got by me.
Claudia: Oh, that's okay. Let's see how you get by without your last paycheck. Get out.
Lulu: Um -- I didn't want to cause any trouble. I just wanted to talk to Johnny.
Claudia: Hmm. Well, if you don't want trouble, you're in the wrong house, cutie.
Lulu: Who are you?
Claudia: Johnny didn't mention me?
Lulu: No.
Claudia: He didn't? Oh, that's okay. I mean, he didn't actually mention you, either -- not directly. He's hiding me. Yeah, I think he's afraid I might scare you off.
Lulu: Well, I don't scare easily after being stalked by Johnny's father at a ball, and when he tried to strangle me, so --
Claudia: You're the one he tried to kill? Well, then you should count yourself special. Daddy doesn't feel threatened by just anyone.
Lulu: "Daddy"?
Claudia: Mm-hmm. I'm Claudia, Johnny's half sister. Charmed, I'm sure. And you -- you're the reason that my father is in a maximum-security asylum, paralyzed from the neck down. You and Jason Morgan.
[Beeping stops]
[Beep]
Diego's voice: You've just made it harder on yourself!
[Sam coughs]
Sam's voice: Wait a -- what are you going to do?
Diego's voice: I'm going to make sure you end up just like my father!
[Turns phone off]
Ian: Is she always like this?
Patrick: If you mean strong, dedicated, stubborn, and compassionate, yes.
Ian: Actually, I was referring to the snotty, standoffish part.
Patrick: I give her some allowances.
Ian: Why, because of the baby?
Patrick: Because of the baby's father.
Robin: It was all -- very sudden. We're not even sure if Angie had the right type of care during her pregnancy that this would've turned out differently.
Joe: So -- so everything I did that day in the E.R. -- the fake bomb and terrorizing everyone? That was -- it was all for nothing?
Robin: No, I wouldn't say that. Would you like to see her?
Joe: Yes, yes.
Robin: Okay. Come with me.
Russell: Now, that's Joe Smith. Don't you let him out of your sight.
Patrick: Wait a second -- what is that for?
Russell: The last time that man was here, he threatened innocent lives, right?
Patrick: It was a fake bomb for a very real reason. He was a desperate father with a pregnant wife and you turned him away.
Russell: No, he was a danger to the patients in this hospital and now, thanks to you, he's out on bail.
Ian: The only danger to the patients in this hospital is the way you run it.
Russell: Excuse me?
Ian: No, there is no excuse. This case shouldn't have ended up in death.
Russell: And you could of course run this hospital more efficiently?
Ian: Well, at least a little bit more compassionately, maybe from a healing perspective.
Russell: Healing? I haven't forgotten what I've learned in med school.
Ian: Well, maybe you've just forgotten how to be human.
Alexis: I'm sure you have a very entertaining explanation as to why you're sitting at my desk in the dark.
Jerry: Yes, I do. The door --
Alexis: Don't tell me that I left the door open again.
Jerry: Was open. How's Kristina?
Alexis: Kristi-- stop bringing Kristina into this and using it to deflect.
Jerry: I was genuinely concerned about you and your daughters. I mean, I was shocked to hear that Ric left town again after what happened. I mean, what could possibly be more important --
Alexis: You cannot just walk in here like it's the corner by -- this is my office. I'm the district attorney. This is the highest legal authority in this --
Jerry: Yes, and I can only imagine how frustrated you must be feeling about not bringing this man to justice -- you see, the killer with the catchy moniker who nearly killed Sam and scared Kristina into a state of semicatatonia?
[Phone rings]
Alexis: Alexis Davis. Yes, hello, Mayor -- what can I do for you? No -- nothing new on the T.M.K. I -- I'm doing everything that I can -- yes, I do understand that -- that it's an election year and I also understand that you're down in the polls, which is why you're interested in this case. How about you let me do my job instead of trying to come up with catchy campaign slogans for you? Good, then.
Jerry: The man's an idiot.
Alexis: You're all idiots. I'm worried about Sam. I have a bad feeling.
Jerry: Well, I can check up on her if -- a little easier.
Alexis: Wait a second. What is that?
Jerry: Oh, that? Um -- I had a -- an accident.
Alexis: You've been shot.
Maxie: Okay, so is there any reason we're just hanging around down here?
Spinelli: The Jackal has intuited why the clean-cut cadet found this place of such import. We are standing -- we are standing in drain channel 17 of the city of Port Charles department of waterworks, okay? This portion of pipe that we are standing in leads back to a connection, an intersection of connecting pipes and -- and channels basically dissecting the whole urban world above.
Maxie: So?
Spinelli: So -- from this starting point, the killer could go from point A to point B through P completely undetected and underground.
Maxie: So what you're saying is we're dealing with some kind of mole man?
Spinelli: Some sort of clever man, someone that is intent on remaining hidden and couldn't just blend in with the crowd.
Maxie: I'm sorry -- maybe it's the smell, but you're not really making that much sense.
Spinelli: Okay. The -- the text message killer does not want to be seen, period.
Maxie: Like who?
Spinelli: Well, maybe we could find a clue to that if we could get beyond this grate.
Maxie: Something Coop didn't do or couldn't have the chance to.
Spinelli: Or maybe -- and the killer knew that or maybe even saw him through the barrier. It looks like it leads to a single tunnel.
Maxie: To where?
Spinelli: Well, according to the D.W.P. map that I jackaled, straight under the abandoned waterfront property of Lorenzo Alcazar.
Jason: I -- I can't believe this. It looks like Diego Alcazar is the killer.
Max: But he was shot and he died.
Jason: Apparently not. His voice is on this phone -- he's got Sam.
Max: All I saw was Elizabeth and a duffel bag.
Jason: He said, "I'm going to see that you end up just like my father." What does -- what does that mean? "I'm going to see you end up just like my --" he's taking her to Hangman's Bridge. That's where I dumped Alcazar's body.
Alexis: Who shot you and why -- and I'm not asking you as a friend.
Jerry: Oh -- that not only hurts, I think it'd make a wound far deeper than this flesh wound.
Alexis: Who?
Jerry: Well, any, you know, in a long list of people with an equally long list of grievances.
Alexis: You know what? I'm not buying for one minute that you don't know who did this to you.
Jerry: Well, you know, "stuff happens," as your current president would say. I mean, your nephew stabbed me in a fit of rage without even remembering it.
Alexis: My nephew didn't do it.
Jerry: Well, the last time I heard, he had a tumor the size of a golf ball without getting close to curing it, so why are you so sure?
Alexis: You come into my office; you sit here in the dark. You didn't come in for legal advice, you certainly didn't seek medical attention, so my guess is that whatever happened to you happened nearby, and you came in here to hide out.
Jerry: Wow, you're good. You should be on a cop show.
Alexis: Yeah, I'm Nancy Drew -- years of dealing with felonious minds.
Jerry: Then I won't bore you with my little tale of woe.
Alexis: Okay. So maybe you want to tell it to the police.
Jerry: I'm in a race of some sort.
Alexis: Really? What kind of race?
Jerry: I'm trying to get to the finish line before some other people, some very determined people who would go to great lengths to see that I don't.
Alexis: The same people who are after the same thing that you are, who will do anything to get that? The Sonnys, the Jasons, the other five families who all want this same valuable thing? What is it? Here's what I think. I think you came into this office to check my messages because you have a vested interest in where Ric is. Very concerned that he left town, so you came in here to see if you could find him, if you could contact him, because what you want is the waterfront property just like everybody else. Isn't that right?
Jerry: Do you know where Ric is?
Alexis: Do you think that I would tell you if I did?
Jerry: Only if you want Kristina to grow up knowing her father.
Alexis: Don't you dare use my daughter to scare the hell out of me anymore!
Jerry: No, this is the harsh reality -- think, Alexis! Do you think others will be as generous when they negotiate with him?
Alexis: I will have Ric contact the authorities.
Jerry: Oh, you don't want me to be locked up; you don't want me out of the picture. Not now, trust me.
Alexis: Trust you?
Jerry: Yes, alliances are being made, forces are converging. There will be a battle that is fought and it will be soon, and I am the only one person in the world who is invested in this, who has a vested interest in keeping Ric alive and well, believe me.
Alexis: So you want me to believe that you're doing this for my benefit?
Lulu: The only thing that happened at the ball was a lot of people trying to defend themselves.
Claudia: Mm-hmm. And what was my brother doing?
Lulu: He was trying to protect me. He didn't care what happened to himself. He did whatever he could, right down to --
Claudia: Right down to killing his own father if he had to to save you?
Lulu: We tried to stay apart, but it's not going to happen.
Claudia: So these feelings are mutual?
Lulu: I think so.
Claudia: Do you hope so?
Lulu: Uh -- I like Johnny a lot.
Claudia: Good. Because I'm going to give you an opportunity to prove it.
Sonny: So, um, you still haven't answered my question. You want me to keep hanging around or not?
Kate: Well, a respectable girl would play hard to get. I think I've pretty much exhausted all the charm in that notion.
Sonny: Well, you know, Easter's coming up and you'll be out of here by then, and I figure I -- I need to straighten a few things out, right? And I'm thinking maybe I'll buy you a -- a nice, big, yellow hat.
Kate: Oh, okay. I see. You think I'm going to say no, right, because I'll refuse to make myself look ridiculous? Oh, I'll see your dare, and I'll raise it.
Jason: Get back to Spinelli; keep him working on Michael's disappearance and Kate's shooting.
Max: Well, the boss thinks he's got that under wraps.
Jason: Yeah, I don't.
Max: What about Nikolas and the nurse?
Nikolas: What about us?
[Sam whimpers]
[Sam groans]
Elizabeth: Sam?
Elizabeth: Sam --
Diego: Going somewhere?
Mar 1, 2008 12:08
Patrick: Easy.
Ian: Dr. Ford armed all the nurses with tear gas against the dangerous Mr. Smith?
Patrick: I wouldn't take you for someone to be as upset about this as you are. It's not the first time, Ian. We're in the business of saving lives, it doesn't mean we don't lose one here and there.
Ian: You know, it's the same everywhere I go. Huh -- a chronic case of bureaucracy. We are so afraid of doing and saying the wrong thing with a patient to avoid litigation that we end up doing and saying the worst thing and lose one here and there.
Patrick: What's behind all this malcontent, huh?
Ian: Just a quick glance at the human condition and the sad condition that we're in. You know, we'll wet ourselves with joy over the birth of a child. But then we'll let that same individual just slip through the cracks if he or she doesn't grow up with the right paperwork -- health care, education, immigration.
Patrick: So something's made you bitter.
Ian: Realistic.
Patrick: Well, I would hope you put those energies into making changes.
Ian: Oh, I do. I just don't like running with the sheep.
Patrick: There's strength in numbers, Ian.
Ian: Hmm. I guess I just prefer being the lone wolf -- keeps my brain sharp, not to mention my teeth.
[Door slams]
Kate: Every year, as part of a playful publicity move for "Couture," we would put the hottest high-profile model in the Easter parade. She would don a bonnet specially made by New York's avant-garde designer du jour and parade up and down Fifth Avenue -- they've been doing it since the Civil War.
Sonny: I don't do costumes.
Kate: Well, Mr. Corinthos, your costume would be on your arm --
Sonny: Oh. So I just, like, walk up and down the street, right, while you wear a big, yellow hat?
Kate: It would be a very nice tribute to what your father witnessed years ago -- you and I smiling. And the world was so much less complicated than it is now.
[Knock on door]
Lulu: Sorry to interrupt. Uh -- Sonny, do you have a minute?
Sonny: Yeah. I won't be long.
[Sonny sighs]
Lulu: I can't find Johnny. We were supposed to have a date, and he didn't show up.
Sonny: Well, I'm not Johnny's keeper, and I can't solve your love life.
Lulu: Well, he wouldn't disappear on me.
Sonny: You could actually say that after everything that you know about the guy?
Lulu: I know more about Johnny than you do.
Sonny: Johnny's going to turn up.
Lulu: Alive?
Sonny: You -- you like to get involved in a lot of things, don't you, like Jason and Jake, the text-message-killer thing, and running around that house with Zacchara trying to kill you?
Lulu: Yeah, you know what? I can go to the police, it --
Sonny: No, listen to me, okay? You're not going to do that. Johnny will turn up when I say he's going to turn up.
Claudia: So, you do have my little brother.
Johnny: I want to talk to Sonny! Now!
Jason: Nikolas, I can't have you with me. You still have your blackouts and I can't take that risk.
Nikolas: Wait, wait -- you have a lead, don't you?
Jason: What? Sam's not here. She might come back; somebody might come back after her. You want to do something? Sit tight and look out for your cousin.
Nikolas: Wait -
[Siren]
Diego: I warned you. I told you -- sit down, shut the hell up!
[Elizabeth groans]
Diego: You couldn't even do that!
Diego: Agh -- sit down! Sit down! Enough -- get off! Sit down. Stop moving!
Elizabeth: Agh -- ow!
[Elizabeth whimpers]
Diego: Enough!
Elizabeth: Agh --
Diego: One scream, one word, and you die first.
Robin: I've got a little girl here that wants to say hello to her daddy. She's feeling kind of lonely.
Joe: I prayed so hard to be here when my baby was born. I didn't think to pray for Angie, too. You know, maybe if I had --
Robin: No. Life doesn't work that way.
Joe: How does it work?
Robin: One day at a time. One emotion at a time.
[Baby fusses]
Robin: Oh --
Joe: All I'm feeling right now is a lot of anger at the world and --
Robin: I understand. Just try not to take it out on your daughter. We almost lost her, too.
Joe: Thank you so much for saving her.
Robin: Angie did her part. She was afraid she wasn't going to make it. She said, "I want Joe to have something to remember us by."
Joe: Look, I -- I need a minute here. I don't want to be crying all over my baby -- would you mind?
Robin: Oh, okay. I got her.
Joe: Okay.
Robin: Oh. Everything's going to be all right. You have someone to love you; you just have to let him. Okay? Hmm.
Robin: Oh -
Maxie: This has been fun -- as far as field trips down the toilet go -- but I think we should probably go back and just tell Mac everything that we've learned.
Spinelli: Why, when we can keep going?
Maxie: Obviously, we can't keep going because we're blocked.
Spinelli: Okay, all the Jackal has to do is access the central computer of the D.W.P., override the system, and raise the gate.
Maxie: You can do that?
Spinelli: It's done regularly anyway to rush-and-flush all the city debris that get stuck to the face of the grate.
Maxie: Oh -- gross!
Spinelli: It would be much more beneficial to the Jackal, P.I., to have the light trained on more pressing matters, less I execute --
Maxie: Do you know how many lies I had to tell to Mac about needing schoolbooks so I could buy these shoes?
[Clink]
Both: What'd you do?
[Grinding]
Nikolas: Well, it looks like we've been duped, made to sit here like kids being sent away from the dinner table.
Nadine: We don't have to stay here, and you certainly don't have to be saddled with me.
Nikolas: No, that's not -- that's not what I meant by it.
Nadine: Well, maybe if you're alone, Emily will come back.
Nikolas: Or maybe she won't. All this time I've had with her, I thought I'd have a chance to say goodbye to her, but I guess not. I guess I just used her to get rid of my guilt.
Nadine: I think she'd want you to feel okay before --
Nikolas: It was supposed to be my choice when I'd say goodbye to her, my choice when I got rid of this stupid tumor and stop all these hallucinations. I didn't know -- I didn't know that I wouldn't have any time left with her.
Nadine: Yeah, we never do. Where are you supposed to be? You were in a hospital bed not that long ago, and you had seizures. I just don't think --
Nikolas: I know, I know, okay? I just -- I can't give up. I can't have gone through this whole -- this whole thing for no reason. I mean, she showed me who her killer was. I'm not just going to sit here on the sideline and watch it. I -- I promise you that I will get revenge on Diego Alcazar for killing my fiancée, I promise you that.
Nadine: Well, maybe I should drive you back to the launch, take you back to Wyndemere? You might find Emily there. Aunt Rayleen says that it's where a person died that you can feel them the strongest, usually.
Nikolas: Of course. Of course.
Nadine: What?
Nikolas: No, I don't want to involve you any more than you already are.
Nadine: What do you need?
Nikolas: I want you to take me somewhere. Come on.
[Siren stops]
Lucky: Dispatch, Detective Spencer reporting an 1180, requesting a backup and an ambulance.
Diego: Get down -- now!
Diego: We're better now.
Elizabeth: Lucky!
Alexis: Lucky, hi, it's Alexis. It may seem a little inappropriate that I'd be calling you, but I am seriously worried about Sam. I have called her several times and I haven't heard back. I'm really worried.
Jerry: It was a trap set by one of the five families or Corinthos. I was able to escape with a superficial bullet wound.
Man: You'll be wishing it was a mortal wound if they saw your face.
Jerry: Relax. Nobody knows that Jerry Jacks and the mysterious Mr. Moreau are the same person. But it proves one thing -- this whole thing's about to blow wide open. Now, we need to cement our alliance with the Zaccharas.
Man: We need to bring something to the table.
Jerry: I will get the deed to the waterfront property from Sonny's kid brother before anyone else does -- whatever it takes.
Sonny: Why are you so surprised?
Claudia: Because I thought you were smarter than that. I thought you were only that knee-jerk about stuff that took place in hotel rooms.
Sonny: I want my son back.
Claudia: I don't have your kid!
Sonny: Shh. Then Trevor does. And if you want your precious brother back, you tell Trevor to give Michael back to me. The only reason he's not in an alley bleeding to death is because he's still useful to me.
Claudia: You let Johnny go, and I swear to you I will do whatever it takes to help you get Michael back.
Sonny: You think I buy that after the -- what you're trying to sell to Jason?
Claudia: You know, I'm not vengeful by nature, Sonny. I acquired a taste for it, and I am trying to deal with you fairly because of our history.
Sonny: History isn't made in hotel rooms -- only beds and the occasional whore.
Claudia: Hmm. Remember who started this, because I swear to God you won't forget how it ends.
[Robin sighs]
Patrick: So how was it holding Joe's baby?
Robin: Can we not get into this right now? I'm a little shaky.
Patrick: You can lean on me.
[Robin chuckles]
Robin: No, I can't.
Patrick: You don't want to.
Robin: Won't.
Patrick: It should've been a family in there -- mother, father, baby.
Robin: Well, sometimes it doesn't work out like that.
Patrick: Is that what you're going to tell your kid when he or she asks who the father is?
Robin: I'm going to know what to tell my child when the time comes.
Patrick: Robin, it's time that you tell the baby's father.
Robin: Just don't do this right now.
Patrick: Stop avoiding the truth.
Robin: As if you really want to hear it.
Patrick: You know what? I'm not going to do this anymore.
Robin: Good!
Patrick: I'm not going to pretend -- if you don't say it, then I will. I'm the baby's father, aren't I?
[Piano plays]
Robin: Yes.
[Piano stops]
Sonny: Johnny stays on ice until I get my son back.
Kate: Uh -- you were here -- you were here before.
Claudia: Mm-hmm. Though, I had to leave before we were able to get properly acquainted.
Kate: Why would we want to do that?
Claudia: Because we have so very much in common -- like Sonny. I'm the woman that he slept with right after your big breakup.
Maxie: It's not moving.
Spinelli: Well, something is.
[Maxie gasps]
Maxie: Spinelli!
[Spinelli stammers]
Maxie: No!
[Clang]
[Grinding stops]
Elizabeth: Lucky --
Diego: What are you doing? What are you doing? What are you -- sit back.
Patrick: The baby's mine. You have to let me be a part of this.
Kate: You and Sonny?
Claudia: You're wondering if it's true.
Sonny: You okay?
Diego: Get off!

Diego: Oh, she was Jason's sister and Jason needed to pay for what he did to my father. Agh, Perra!
Diego: Sit down!
[Slaps Elizabeth]
Diego: Shut up and sit down!
Diego: Shut up, sit down!
Elizabeth: Closed bridge! Ah!
Diego: Agh!
[Metal grinds]
[Debris falls]
[Thud]
[Elizabeth grunts]
Diego: Agh -- sit down! Sit down!
Diego: No -- no! Sit down. Stop moving!
Diego: Enough! One scream, one word, and you die first.
Diego: Get off me.
Elizabeth: No!
Patrick: So it -- it's true? The baby's mine?
Patrick: Huh.
Robin: I know what you're thinking. I went to the sperm bank and I picked out an anonymous donor -- that is the truth. I was entirely committed to going that route, to doing this pregnancy all on my own -- carrying the child, giving birth, raising --
Leyla: Dr. Drake?
Patrick: Not a good time.
Leyla: Dr. Julian needs a consult, what should I tell him?
Patrick: I don't -- I don't care what you tell him.
Leyla: Okay, I'll find Dr. Burgess.
[Leyla sighs]
Robin: The night of Georgie's funeral, after making all the arrangements and having to be strong for Uncle Mac and watching Maxie attack Felicia, suddenly the loss and the -- the senselessness of it all just hit me. You know, I -- I felt like I was drowning. I remember I was in the car, I was driving, and I didn't even really make a conscious decision but I -- I don't know. Somehow I just ended up in front of your building. I needed someone to hold on to, someone to keep me from going under. I needed to be with someone that really knew me, someone that I could really trust. You know, I mean, making love was just two people finding comfort with one another.
Patrick: I knew what it was.
Robin: It just happened.
Patrick: Yeah, I was there.
Robin: I didn't think that it meant that we were just going to pick up where we left off. You know, I wasn't -- I wasn't trying to trick you into getting me pregnant. I mean, it's not like I sabotaged the condom.
Patrick: You knew that it broke?
Robin: Well, I hadn't undergone in vitro yet and so that had to be the only explanation. And I also knew that I could've infected you, and then I had a moral obligation to talk to you about that.
Patrick: Tell me -- so, Robin, why didn't you tell me?
Robin: I was going to. I went to find you immediately. And I heard you -- you were talking to Leo in here, and you said that you had been tested for H.I.V. and that you were negative. And I was so thankful, I was so relieved, but -- I don't know. I mean, I also knew that we didn't really have to have a conversation about it because nothing had really changed.
Patrick: Nothing changed? "Nothing changed," Robin? I'm going to be a father.
Claudia: I'm Claudia Zacchara.
Kate: You -- you and Sonny?
Claudia: Everyone deals with rejection differently, and Sonny -- well, let's just say after you declined his marriage proposal, he didn't crawl off licking his wounds. You can't be too shocked. I mean, just one look at the man, you can tell he's not the whining, pining sort. He's decisive, he takes action. I like that -- especially in bed.
Kate: "Claudia" is it?
Claudia: Mm-hmm. You're wondering if it's true.
Kate: I'm wondering why you're telling me all this.
Man: Oh!
Trevor: You are making a big mistake.
[Man chuckles]
Man: You couldn't come up with anything more original than that?
Trevor: Tell your boss.
Sonny: Tell him yourself, Trevor -- and it'd better be what I want to hear.
Trevor: Why are you doing this?
Sonny: When all is said and done, you are nothing but a parasite, a messenger waiting in the shadows. So I want you to take this message back to Anthony Zacchara, who is twice the man you will ever be -- even paralyzed and with his mind half gone. He'll get his son back when I get mine back.
Maxie: You locked us in here!
Spinelli: No, hysterical blond one, you hit the keyboard with the flashlight. If you'd just held it steady like I asked you to --
Maxie: Do something, you stupid geek!
Spinelli: You stupid girl!
Maxie: Okay -- no, no. It's okay, it's okay. Just undo whatever it is that you just did.
Spinelli: Hey, brilliant -- why didn't I think of that? After that, maybe I'll just hit the "open sesame" button on my keyboard and follow that with a text-message killer locator.
Maxie: Don't take that tone with me!
Spinelli: Look, I kluged a specific routine to try to circumvent a certain --
Maxie: English!
Spinelli: Okay, I -- I improvised using some unconditional --
Maxie: In English!
Spinelli: We are trapped like hamsters in a rank and smelly tube!
[Diego yells]
Claudia: I think it's unfair that you be kept in the dark about what happened between me and Sonny -- a man who recently proposed marriage to you. This one's on the house -- I'm doing you a favor.
Kate: Oh, is that what this is?
Claudia: I realize it might be hard for you to see it right now for what it is because your mind is crowded with images. You're still dealing --
Kate: So what do you want? You -- you want me to thank you?
Claudia: No -- that would be too much. I'll be happy just knowing that I've opened your eyes. I think that you deserve to know what kind of man you're really dealing with. Sonny thinks his actions won't have consequences, that he can come on like a storm trooper, busting up people's lives with impunity? Maybe that's the way it used to be, but not anymore.
Kate: I understand.
Claudia: Good.
Kate: No, I mean I understand why you're really here.
Trevor: You picked Johnny up? You kidnapped him? I don't believe this.
Sonny: Believe it, Trevor.
Trevor: 10-1 odds Jason Morgan had nothing to do with this -- he's the only sane one in your organization. It's got you written all over it.
Sonny: Well, something tells me you're not going to go to the police.
Trevor: Sonny --
Sonny: Huh?
Trevor: It is a colossal error, and it's going to end badly.
Sonny: I want my son back!
Trevor: I'm in no position to help.
Sonny: If anything happens to my son, Trevor --
Trevor: "If anything happens to your s," huh? If anything happens to me, there are going to be events that will be set in motion. You committed the cardinal error, Sonny, you made a big mistake -- you made this personal. Huh -- you are being reckless.
Sonny: Try "dangerous."
Trevor: Oh, no, no, no, no. I've seen that look in your eye before. It's fear -- like on an animal who's being backed into a corner.
Patrick: Is this is what it's come to with us -- minimalist conversation? I don't even need to respond because you've already decided exactly what I'm going to think or how I'm going to feel --
Robin: Well, I didn't decide this arbitrarily. I mean, you have been very clear from moment one when I told you that I wanted to have a baby that you don't. You don't want to have a child. You want to be free to live the life that you have carved out for yourself.
Patrick: Robin, I've just been honest with you.
Robin: Enticingly available.
Patrick: I was committed, I was faithful.
Robin: To a point.
Patrick: God, it must be nice to be you -- to know exactly what everyone's thinking, what they're feeling.
Robin: This isn't about making you out to be the bad guy, okay? It -- it's actually the opposite. I know that you're a good guy and that -- if I told you the truth about this, that you would want to do the right thing, that you would want to live up to your responsibility -- even if it made you miserable. I wasn't going to force you into a life that you don't want.
Patrick: Stop telling me what I want!
Robin: Fine. What do you want?
Kate: Sonny slept with you once trying to obliterate his pain, trying to obliterate thoughts of me.
Claudia: Trust me, you were the last thing on his mind, sweetheart.
Kate: And despite your coarse behavior and this compulsion --
Claudia: Oh, your poor, delicate sensibilities.
Kate: You have to shock people; you seem like a relatively intelligent woman. So it couldn't have taken you long to figure out what was really going on with Sonny. He was just using you. You could've been anyone.
Claudia: Of course -- you have to think that because the alternative is too painful.
Kate: You came here to check out the competition.
Claudia: I don't see any.
Kate: Oh, wow. You're just a scared little girl, aren't you? I wonder what happened to make you that way.
Claudia: Hmm.
Sonny: You've made a major miscalculation coming after my family.
Trevor: Enough of this crap about your loyalty to family. You're the one who left my family in shambles.
Sonny: Is that why you convinced Anthony Zacchara to take my son -- because you blame me, Trevor?
Trevor: Sonny, if you had any evidence that we kidnapped your son or shot Kate, you'd be screaming it at the top of your lungs and Jason Morgan would be all over this. The truth is you don't know if we did it, and you don't care.
Sonny: Guess again, Trevor.
Trevor: You're pissed off because you don't have control of the alcazar waterfront property and you know whoever does is going to control the balance of power. You are slipping, Sonny.
Sonny: Careful, Trevor! You're used to hiding behind someone. Right now you're talking like you want to step up! Is that what you want? You want to take the heat, Trevor? You want to take the heat, you want to pay the price for somebody who gets reckless?
Trevor: I have heard it all before.
Sonny: Because I will tell you right now! If something happens to my son, if he gets injured in any way, I will come after you!
Trevor: Yeah? Well, that's what Adela used to say. "Poor Sonny, he's not getting what he wants."
[Trevor chuckles]
Trevor: And I would say, "Yeah, that's Sonny -- he's scapegoating, blaming everybody else, lashing out." But this is not just pushing your mother down a flight of stairs, Sonny. This time there are going to be consequences.
[Glass breaks]
Elizabeth: Jason, help me!
Jason: Ah!
Patrick: You act like I've been oblivious all the time, like I don't know you well enough to know that there was something going on, something important.
Robin: And I know you well enough to know that you wanted to ask me and you didn't want to know the answer.
Patrick: You know what, Robin? You're right. I didn't want this. But now it's happening, and not just to you -- to me, too. You have to let me be a part of this.
Robin: Oh -- no, I -- I don't. I don't have to let you be a part of anything.
Claudia: Hard for me to believe that you are the arbiter of fashion and taste for millions of American women because you're such a poor judge of your own gender.
Kate: Am I?
Claudia: You really are. I'm no little girl. And I'm no lady, either -- just ask your would-be husband.
Kate: Maybe I will.
Claudia: Good, and while you're at it, why don't you ask him what he scribbled on that little cocktail napkin right before he gave me his room key?
Kate: Oh, man, you are just working so hard to make me feel threatened and insecure while I'm recovering from being shot. I'm hooked up to all these tubes and monitors -- I mean, really, Claudia.
Claudia: I know who you really are, you know that?
Kate: It's sad, Claudia.
Claudia: Underneath all that manner and polish, I know. And, see, if you're really secure, you'd tell him that we had this conversation but you're nothing. You're a phony, you're a fake, and you won't tell him. You won't tell him.
Maxie: Some P.I., Jackal, you turned out to be. You find out this is the tunnel that the text-message killer uses and then you get us stuck in it!
Spinelli: Okay, there's no use pointing fingers or flashlights.
Maxie: You're right -- if the psycho strangler doesn't get us, all the other things down here will.
Spinelli: "Other things"?
Maxie: Yeah, you know, things that have been flushed away or made their way up the flotsam and jetsam -- you've heard the stories about the alligators?
Spinelli: This is but urban myth.
Maxie: How do you know? Oh, man --
Spinelli: Private investigatory rule 12 says "When most you want to panic is when most you should fight it"!
Maxie: Who's panicking?
Spinelli: Okay, we're going to use Stone Cold -- oh -- Stone Cold reasoning to find a solution, to find a way out. Please, just keep the flashlight on me so I can concentrate! There may be a small window of opportunity where I can override the system and start it up again --
Maxie: Good, that's good.
Spinelli: In 24 hours.
Maxie: 24 hours, Spinelli! What am I supposed to -- oh, my God, it's a rat! Oh!
Jason: Elizabeth, are you -- are you hurt?
Elizabeth: No, but Lucky's been shot.
Jason: He's still alive.
[Motorcycle pulls away]
Jason: Okay, keep your head down and shield your face!
Elizabeth: Oh, my God!

Robin: Nothing's changed. I wanted to have a baby, I'm going to have a baby. You didn't want to have a child --
Patrick: I'm the father.
Robin: Not in any meaningful sense of the word.
Patrick: In every sense of the word.
Robin: Hold on a second, didn't I just ask you what you wanted and you said -- and I quote -- "I didn't want this"?
Patrick: Other men feel the same way; I was just being honest with you.
Robin: "Other men" rise to the occasion, they embrace it. The news inspires awe and wonder, not just fear, panic, and a sense of impending doom.
Patrick: You've been dealing with this for months.
Robin: They don't grit their teeth and go through it like a child who's been told to eat their Brussels sprouts.
Patrick: Robin, would you give me a second -- you just told me!
Robin: I don't understand what you're fighting for -- because if it's your reputation, I'm not going to tell anyone.
Patrick: Okay, so what are you going to do? When somebody asks who the father is, what are you going to say?
Robin: I'm going to tell them that it was someone that I never intended to be in the child's life in the first place -- a sperm donor -- and that's the truth. Come on, you didn't want to be tied down. You didn't want to change dirty diapers when it was your night to go to the speedway or when Ian wanted to take you to Vegas for a little male bonding.
Patrick: How could you blame me for not wanting to deal with this?
Robin: That's just it -- no one's blaming you. No one cares. So you know what? Just go out, prove to yourself that you still got it -- that you're still mentally 18. Plant yourself at some bar, brood over a beer, and spray pheromones at the hottest chick in the place until she starts checking you out.
Patrick: Sounds like a great idea.
Robin: Okay, knock yourself out.
Claudia: Vodka. I don't like being summoned. What do you want?
Trevor: Claudia, calm down, focus. I want to tell you something now, don't rush off and do anything reckless.
Claudia: Don't dictate to me, okay? Do as you're told.
Trevor: All right, look, do you know that Sonny Corinthos kidnapped your brother?
Claudia: I know.
Trevor: How?
Claudia: Steps are already being taken.
Trevor: What are you doing?
Claudia: What makes you think I'd tell you, hmm? I don't know what you're doing, I haven't known for years -- though I have my ideas.
Trevor: Claudia, like it or not, you and I are on the same side of this, and it's critical that we do things right. We got a shot to take Port Charles right now.
Claudia: "We"? "We"?
Trevor: Look, Johnny only talks about running the family. We don't have time for him to work out his daddy issues.
Claudia: Well, isn't that exactly what you're doing? Aren't you using my family business to work out your issues with your stepson? Isn't this all about settling an old score with Sonny?
Trevor: Claudia, neither you nor Johnny know what's happened. You don't know the players. You don't know who holds the balance of power.
Claudia: Maybe I know more than you think.
Kate: What is this for?
Sonny: Do I have to have a reason to be nice to you?
Kate: Well, I -- I know you have a lot of other things on your mind, Sonny. You didn't have to go out of your way.
Sonny: Open it. Let me take that for you.
[Sonny laughs]
Kate: Oh --
Sonny: It's -- it's like the same one your cousin Gloria gave you back in the old neighborhood when we were teenagers and, you know, you thought that --
Kate: You said you hated that hat.
Sonny: Well, I didn't hate the girl wearing it.
Kate: Well -- I said I hated the dress. I suppose I hated the hat, too.
Sonny: And I remember that you -- you didn't want to make Gloria feel bad so you wore it like it was something out of "Couture" and you wore it all day like it was, you know, royalty, and you know what?
Sonny: I actually started to like it because you looked so damn beautiful in it and I -- looking in your eyes, and they were sparkling and the sun was shining and -- and I thought to myself, "Wow, you know, this is -- this is what it feels like. This is what it feels like to be in love." And I thought that I could never feel like that with anyone.
Sonny: You all right? Hey -- you okay?
Spinelli: Careful, just --
Maxie: I saw something moving over there!
Spinelli: This is our only means of escape, so if my laptop --
Maxie: Is that all you can think about? We're about to get eaten alive by sewer animals!
Spinelli: I did not see anything.
Maxie: It was over there.
Spinelli: Oh, God.
Maxie: Oh, God.
Spinelli: Oh, my God, it's horrible.
Maxie: What is it?
Spinelli: It's a plethora of recyclable material unrecycled.
Maxie: There was something! Oh, man --
Spinelli: What?
Maxie: My shoes are ruined!
Spinelli: Okay, on the list of problems that we are facing, that is not a top priority.
Maxie: It is to me, and I never should've let you talk me into coming down here.
Spinelli: You forced me into helping you prove Coop's innocence through the threat of violence, okay? Jackal, P.I., is -- all he's done is employ all of his -- all of his skill and knowledge into helping you find the true evildoer, bring him to justice.
Maxie: Yeah, and you've screwed up the entire way. First, you thought it was Logan --
Spinelli: Oh, there was strong evidence -- albeit circumstantial -- okay, but now --
Maxie: And now -- now we're just at another dead end!
Spinelli: Because of a technical glitch, okay? Look -- okay, a note written in Coop's own hand inscribed on the back of your Valentine's gift has put us in direct line of the killer -- the killer of him and of sweet Georgie. Okay, if finding this evildoer, the one that took your sister and the man you love, means dealing with some foul odors and dirty shoes, I think that's a small price to pay.
[Laptop chirps]
Spinelli: A -- a clue perhaps.
Maxie: Is it going to tell us who the real text message killer is -- who is it?
Spinelli: A -- a most unlikely suspect.
Maxie: Unlikely why?
Spinelli: Because he's dead.
Jason: Whoa! Okay, come on, climb out.
Elizabeth: Sam's in the trunk.
[Jason grunts]
Elizabeth: Lucky -- Lucky, can you hear me?
Jason: Sam! Sam!
[Sam bangs on back seat]
Jason: Sam! Come on, you got to get out. Come on!
[Sam screams]
Sonny: Kate, what's going on? Did the doctors say something about your condition? Come here. Okay, something's going on here and you're going to -- what's -- did something happen while I was gone and you're not telling me, or what?
Kate: No, Sonny, it's just -- it's just the medication, it's making me emotional.
Sonny: All right.
[Kate sighs]
Sonny: Are you sure?
Kate: Yeah, I was just thinking back -- you know, it brings up a lot of memories about choices and why I made them.
Sonny: Well, I mean, my father saw the girl in the memorable yellow hat that day, and what he saw was how she made me smile.
Sonny: And all he you know, all he ever wanted for me was to find somebody to make me smile like that again. And the truth is I have. I mean, you can change your name, you can have a different job -- I don't care. You're still the same girl from the old neighbor--
Kate: I'm a little older and wiser, Sonny.
Sonny: Listen, I want to make you feel the way you made me feel that day. I want to make you smile the way you made me smile that day.
[Music plays]
Trevor: Did you know that Sonny had his goons pick me up and work me over pretty good? I didn't give him anything. He thinks we kidnapped his son and I didn't disabuse him of the idea.
Claudia: Which puts Johnny at even greater risk.
Trevor: His life is even more valuable.
Claudia: I'm not going to let you put my brother's life at risk --
Trevor: I'm not playing --
Claudia: Just so you can see Sonny squirm.
Trevor: Tell me, you don't love it?
Claudia: If anything happens to Johnny, I will make Sonny pay in ways he can't even imagine.
Trevor: Whoa, whoa, whoa, Claudia. You're sounding just like him. Believe me, that's a mistake. Don't make it personal. Claudia, I know that you've come back to prove something, but listen to me. Now is not the time for it -- cost your brother his life.
Claudia: What else did Sonny say?
Trevor: He blames us for shooting Kate Howard, too.
Claudia: Well, I hope you told him that we would've finished the job. Of course, she's your ex-girlfriend, too, isn't she -- just yet another way that you're wrapped up into this personally, just another way, Trevor?
Trevor: Whoever is responsible for this did us a very big favor because, you see, Sonny is preoccupied with Kate and his son. He's lashing out all over the place, he's becoming reckless, and that makes him --
Claudia: Vulnerable.
Trevor: So, let's just help him find his damn son. I'm going to track him down and make this work for us. So, please, don't do anything, all right? You understand -- don't be reckless.
Claudia: I think we understand each other perfectly -- Trevors.
Singer: I'll take her to my soul but now that you are gone
Patrick: Scotch, rocks, please.
Singer: This melody is broken
Maxie: Yeah, Lorenzo -- that's an even better suspect than Logan.
Spinelli: Okay, private investigation rule 36 clearly states "Follow all leads to their conclusion, regardless of how unlikely --"
Maxie: Or bizarre or stupid.
Spinelli: Inexplicably, yet another transaction has been made from Lorenzo Alcazar's accounts.
Maxie: Well, even though Carly brought back proof from South America that Lorenzo was still alive, we all know she did it to cover Jason's butt because he really offed the guy -- not that anyone's complaining.
Spinelli: This is most distressing.
Maxie: Well, no, it just means somebody else has access to Lorenzo's accounts.
Spinelli: No, no, it is not that simple, okay? The only access to these accounts is through state-of-the-art retinal and fingerprint technologies and only two people had access.
Maxie: Lorenzo and --
Spinelli: His son, Diego.
Maxie: Another dead guy?
Spinelli: You know what that means?
Maxie: Yeah -- that you're not as smart as everybody says and you got us stuck in this smelly, disgusting place and we're no closer to finding out who the real killer is.
Spinelli: Ugh!
Lucky: Uh -- Elizabeth --
Elizabeth: Shh, shh.
Jason: You got to climb out!
Sam: It's going to go.
Jason: Do it now!
Sam: Agh!
[Metal grinds, glass breaks]
Lucky: Sam!
Kate: I'm sorry. I'm kind of tired.
Sonny: I want to make it up to you.
Kate: What?
Sonny: The hell I put you through. It's going to be over soon, and when it is, I'm going to -- I'm going to prove to you that you were right in giving us a chance, giving me a chance. I promise you, things are going to be different. We can -- we can be those teenagers laughing in the sunlight, you know, with enormous possibilities in front of us. But I tell you what -- I promise you, nothing is going to come between us.
Singer: It's time to fly a final delight my love arise you touch me tonight
Kelly: Heart looks good.
Singers: Feels so fine
Singers: This love
Lucky: I'm okay -- I'm okay, go.
Singers: Feels so nice
Lucky: Sam?
Elizabeth: Jason?
Elizabeth: Are you okay?
Singer: Feels so nice
Carly: I'm pregnant.
Nikolas: I don't care what I have to do -- Diego pays. Game over.
Sam: Help --
Lucky: Sam -- Sam!

Epiphany: Where is Elizabeth Webber?
Regina: Left for break and never came back.
Epiphany: Nurse Crowell?
Regina: Expected.
Epiphany: When?
Regina: A half-hour ago.
Epiphany: Dr. Quartermaine?
Regina: M.I.A.
Epiphany: I have a little heart attack, and I come back, and the entire hospital has gone to the devil!
Regina: Are you sure you're ready to come back? It's good to have you back.
Epiphany: You won't be saying that by the end of the night!
Patrick: Welcome back.
Robin: Welcome back.
Epiphany: Okay, feel the love. Looks like nothing's changed around here.
Patrick: Oh, I wouldn't say that.
Carly: Sonny?
Sonny: Sorry, no news on Michael.
Carly: He's been gone 48 hours and it feels like he's been missing 48 days.
Sonny: Just -- I just wanted to make sure that you and Morgan are doing fine.
Carly: He's doing great. Morgan's okay.
Sonny: What's -- what is that for?
Carly: Um -- just working on a little project, that's all.
Sonny: Do you really needed a -- a little project right now?
Carly: It's kind of unavoidable. I'm pregnant.
Maxie: I can't believe you get service on that stupid mechanical lap extension, and you can't even use it to get us out of here. Whereas, I could call Mac and have him rescue us from this hellhole, but I don't even get service.
Spinelli: Well, keep trying. Or -- something, whatever. Just -- while the Jackal, P.I., remains intent on accessing the department of water sites so I can override the system, raise the gate, and free us.
Maxie: Yeah, that's how you got us into this mess. And when I say "mess," I do mean "mess"!
Maxie: Oh -- well, now that my calling circle has gone down the drain, what are we going to do?
Nadine: Where are we?
Nikolas: The end of all things.
Nadine: I thought we were looking for Emily so she could help you.
Nikolas: We were, but I decided to use your good old Aunt Rayleen, instead. You told me that she said if you want to be close to the dead, go to the place they die. Well, this is where Sam shot Diego. Though he survived, he won't again.
Lucky: I'm okay. I'm okay, go. Sam?
Lucky: Sam! Sam!
Sam: Help!
Sam: Help! Help!
Sam: Help.
Sam: Oh!
Spinelli: The wounded blond one should answer her phone and ask for the very help she complained was beyond her reach.
Maxie: Are you crazy? We're in a sewer. My phone is in sewer water. Not only am I not picking it up, but it's not going anywhere near my face or my ears or my mouth!
Spinelli: Okay, you are the one that wanted to capture the real text message killer.
Maxie: Yeah, Spinelli, not be captured by him, okay? What are we going to do if the text message killer walks by? If we see Alcazar, Diego? Then what?
Spinelli: Ooh, what -- what if you answered your phone?
[Ring]
Nadine: So what exactly are we looking for?
Nikolas: Any sign that Diego might be living here, while keeping an eye out for Diego himself.
Nadine: Oh. I can be good at that. Aunt Rayleen used to say I had eyes like a potato. You know, like eyes everywhere, including the back of my head. I do have this feeling, though -- whenever my elbow itches, someone usually -- never mind.
Nikolas: Oh. We should've brought a flashlight. Hmm.
Nadine: I'm sure I've got one in here somewhere. I know, I -- I know -- I look like some baby store bag lady. It's my survival kit for pediatrics. When I was 9, I couldn't grasp the concept of why I wasn't allowed in the boy scouts, which was just a ploy to be closer to the neighbor boy I had a crush on. So I borrowed all of his manuals hoping I could find some loophole or something, and I wound up learning so many practical skills and tenets that I realized I don't have much use for boys after all. Oh, yes! Ta-da! That's the best I can do.
Nikolas: I'll take this. Wouldn't happen to have a gun in there anywhere, would you?
Nadine: I know you hate this guy for what he did to Emily.
Nikolas: Yes, I do, and for what he did to my son, Alexis, Sam, Georgie -- what?
Nadine: I'm not excusing him; I'm just saying that he probably feels justified for what happened to him and his family.
Nikolas: That still makes him a killer.
Nadine: Aren't you using the same logic to justify killing him?
Peg: Not too much for you, was it?
Peg: Well, excuse me -- you look not very hardy, city kid. Spoiled. Probably the only big household chore you had was dropping your designer underwear in a hamper. Thanks for helping with the wood.
Michael: You didn't really give me much choice. You said you'd call the police if I left.
Peg: Isn't it time you called home and told them why you ran away? Huh? Why did you?
Michael: I shot somebody.
Sonny: Pregnant? I didn't know you could have more kids.
Carly: I didn't, either. Jax and I talked about it, and then one night, you know, we --
Sonny: I -- I know how they're made.
Carly: Yeah. Huh. Only you and Jason know about this.
Sonny: What about the boys?
Carly: Well, we wanted to tell Michael and Morgan the night Michael never came home, so that didn't happen. Look, Jason said Alcazar may still be alive, Sonny.
Sonny: There's a chance there's life on Mars, but that's not where Michael is. It's not just a coincidence that Kate was shot the same day Michael went missing, okay? The Zaccharas are behind this. Nobody else.
Jax: And what if you're wrong? What if you're wrong and it costs us Michael?
Ian: Huh-ho! Oh! Got demoted to nurse, huh?
Epiphany: That's no demotion. We're the heart of the hospital, and you're just the hands. Right?
Ian: I have no idea what you're talking about.
Epiphany: Oh, please. Like you do not recycle your cheesy come-on lines?
Patrick: Oh, underneath all that cheese lies a beating heart.
Epiphany: Say what?
Patrick: Seems our good Dr. Devlin here has some life-altering experiences since the old days, but he's not telling us what they are.
Ian: My God-given cue to say nothing.
Patrick: He's even lagging in doctor/nurse conquest. Hasn't even hit on Dr. Lee, our resident sex addict.
Epiphany: I don't need to hear this.
Patrick: There's a scorecard in one of the employee lockers -- who I'm not going to name, obviously. What are you doing here? I thought you left.
Ian: Oh, emergency page, but now I'm going to try to improve my score -- pinch a few hearts between here and cubicle #2.
Epiphany: Can I help you find something, doctor?
Patrick: I am not here officially. I'm two drinks in.
Robin: Oh, you hit Jake's already?
Patrick: Not hard enough. Just getting some homework.
Epiphany: Let's pretend that this is a hospital, and not some high school lunch room.
Patrick: Fine by me.
Robin: More fine by me. Can I --
Patrick: Actually, no, more fine by me.
Epiphany: Okay, what is your problem with each other now?
[Jazz music plays]
Spinelli's voice: [As Sam Spade] She was only a bird in a mildewed cage. I almost felt sorry for her. But it was getting so cold, I wasn't feeling much past my beezer, anyway. It was hard to keep my eyes off those getaway sticks of hers -- not that I'd be seeing them in action down here. We'd followed Alice down a rat hole this time, and there was no place to run. That's why I was half hoping she might head for my arms. I didn't care if it was true that she'd put a few holes of daylight in her sap of a husband for the missing mazuma. One brush of those lips, and I'd fetch whatever line she wanted to throw me. But something in the way she turned and looked at me said -
Maxie's voice: Why are you breathing down my neck with that stupid expression on your face?
Spinelli: Whew. Oh.
Nikolas: I don't care what I have to do, as long as Diego pays. Whatever -- I might die from this tumor, anyway.
Nadine: Or you could get help and live.
Nikolas: Without Emily, so --
Nadine: Huh. Okay, we're a little past this patient-nurse-boundary thing, so I'm going to tell you exactly what I think, okay?
Nikolas: Okay.
Nadine: I know you loved Emily, and I know you got robbed, and that's really sad. And if you want to go off and take an eye for an eye, then I can't stop you. But Emily will still be gone, and you'll be here. And you can wallow in this self-indulgence and waste any opportunity of joy coming your way, or you can move the hell on!
Nikolas: Oh, what, like -- like you have?
Nadine: What's that supposed to mean?
Nikolas: Huh. You -- you think that I'm so self-indulged, as you put it, that I don't hear the things you constantly say about loss and -- and loving someone and all that? About how much you wish you could -- you could be with them, or go back, and do it all over again? Listen, I think that you are an amazing nurse, a -- a compassionate, somewhat unique human being. But outside that hospital, your life doesn't go much beyond that locket around your neck, now, does it?
Nadine: That's mean.
Nikolas: But is it true?
Nadine: Sometimes.
Nikolas: More often than not? Who is it?
Nadine: No, it -- this is not a good time to be talking about it. It is too negative.
Nikolas: All right, fine. Then why don't you just leave? This is no place for you and your clown bag anyway. You and morality will just be in my way.
Nadine: Fine. I'll just drop me and my morality down some elevator shaft and be out of your way.
Nikolas: We're on the bottom floor.
Nadine: Ooh! Ugh! God! So stupid.
[Stomps foot twice]
Lucky: Hold on.
Sam: I can't.
Lucky: Why don't you just trust me?
Sam: Okay -- oh! Oh! Oh, you saved my life. You could've come over the ledge with me. You didn't have to do it.
Lucky: Yes. Yes, I did.
[Sam sighs]
Sam: Oh.
Alexis: Oh, by all means, come on in. It's not like I had the door closed for any particular reason.
Jerry: It's nice to see you, too, Alexis.
Alexis: Have you ever thought of knocking?
Jerry: Oh, come on. Why bother with formalities? I mean, if my memory serves me right, we passed any semblance of propriety months ago. Or do you give all your clients passionate kisses before leaving their hotel rooms?
Alexis: You kissed me.
Jerry: Oh, "to-may-to," "to-mah-to" -- I'm not here to debate who initiated what. But for the record, that kiss was anything but one-sided.
Alexis: I have work to do, so if you have a point, it'd be a good time to get to it.
Jerry: Good, good. I need you to -- to assess a financial transaction, a funds transfer from a foreign investor.
Alexis: You must have missed the sign that says "District Attorney" when you barged in here without knocking, because unless you have business that a district attorney would actually address, then I can't help you.
Jerry: Oh, well, the last time I checked, you were ill my primary counsel.
Alexis: Last time I checked, you were still a weapons smuggler and a hostage taker with underworld connections. So if you don't mind closing the door on your way out, I'd really appreciate it.
Jerry: Oh, come on. Whatever happened to the rule of law? I mean, even detainees have rights for legal representation in this country.
Alexis: You are absolutely correct about that -- which is why I'm going to find you another attorney. I know a lot of compet-- in fact, Diane Miller. A great reputation. She's a fun girl, too.
Jerry: Oh, yeah?
Alexis: And she has the proven ability to turn a blind eye to her client's moral failings.
Jerry: No, no, no, no, no. Diane Miller happens to be Sonny's attorney.
Alexis: Exactly my point, you see, because if she can bend the law for him, she can certainly do whatever it would take to fix your own problems.
Jerry: Oh, now, you see, I -- I wouldn't be nearly as comfortable with Diane Miller as I would be with you. Besides, you're much cuter.
Alexis: Fine. Fine. Then I'll find you somebody else. Here, here. He's a very nice attorney. You'll like him a lot, and he owes me a favor. Give him this. Tell him I'm collecting.
Jerry: That would defeat the general purpose.
Alexis: And what would that be exactly?
Jerry: Of spending time alone with you.
Patrick: Go ahead. Why don't you tell Epiphany what our problem is?
[Epiphany sighs]
Robin: I don't have a problem. I'm having a baby. And it's wonderful and joyous and life-affirming. And I can't wait to embrace it, because it's only going to bring more love and peace into my life.
Epiphany: Trust me, the peace doesn't start until they turn 18.
Robin: Oh, I know that. I mean, I can handle it. I realize that there's going to be a lot of kicking and crying and even some screaming, but better coming from the baby than from the father.
Sam: We were all so sure that Diego was dead after I shot him. And when -- when Alcazar held his son in his arms, grieving, he must have felt some sort of life. He told the cops that he was going to transport his body, and instead, he -- he rushed him off to save him. Diego said that he wanted revenge on everyone who hurt him, especially whoever was involved with killing his father.
Mac: The son is still alive, and the father -- so not only did Jason get away with murdering Lorenzo Alcazar, but he's also responsible for bringing this down on all of us.
Elizabeth: Mac, Jason saved both our lives.
Mac: They wouldn't have needed saving if Jason didn't kill Alcazar, which set his son on a path to revenge.
Lucky: Diego's still out there. The rest is just speculation. Let's just stick to what we know.
Mac: Fine, let's stick to what we know, Lucky. Tell me why my daughter is dead. Tell me why that beautiful, caring little girl was brutally murdered!
Sam: Mac, Mac, Mac -- maybe I -- maybe I can help you. Diego said that he was after Maxie because she sent him to prison. And then Georgie happened to get one of Maxie's texts and wound up in the park and saw Diego's face, and he had to kill her. The same thing happened with Leticia. Apparently, he was after Carly.
Mac: What about Coop Barrett?
Sam: Coop? He caught on, and Diego knew it. And Emily? Unfortunately, she was Jason's sister.
Mac: Something Jason's going to have to live with the rest of his life.
Lucky: Mac --
Mac: What did the Alcazars have against you?
Elizabeth: I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Mac: Where was that?
Elizabeth: Diego grabbed me when he was leaving Sam's apartment.
Spinelli: The wounded blond one's stare is most unnerving.
Maxie: You know, you're strange, but you're not stupid or a coward. Otherwise, Jason wouldn't keep you around. So -- I may have what sounds like a dumb question. What exactly was so wrong with my sister that made you never notice her?
[Water flows]
Nikolas: Oh, God.
Nikolas: Oh, no!
Nadine: Stupid, strange, honest, awful -- just -- oh, God! Oh! No! No!
Mar 5, 2008 06:21
Alexis: I distinctly remember having this conversation with you, I don't know -- one, two, 500 gazillion times but apparently it hasn't made an impression on you at all, so I'll -- I'll say it one more time, so open those ears and listen carefully. You and I have a professional relationship and why you insist on pursuing this on a personal level is beyond me.
Jerry: Oh, come on, Alexis, stop being so modest. I mean, do you have any inkling of the effect a woman like you has on the opposite sex?
Alexis: Really -- what kind of woman would that be?
Jerry: Well, you see, you're fiercely independent, you're brilliant and beautiful with great confidence. I mean, it -- what man in his right mind wouldn't want to take this beyond a professional relationship? Tell me.
Alexis: What woman in her right mind would want to have a relationship with you?
Jerry: You know, one who likes real challenges.
Alexis: What don't you get about "I don't play with fire"?
Jerry: Oh, come on. I mean, you may say that now, but let's look back at your history -- Sonny Corinthos, Ric Lansing. By all accounts, you're attracted to dangerous men and always have been -- so, there.
Alexis: So, there -- maybe I've learned from my mistakes.
Jerry: Really?
Alexis: Maybe -- yeah, well, I -- sort of. And it may have taken me a while but I have learned that I enjoy drawing breath, so much so that I would like to continue doing it, all the more reason why Diane is your attorney --
Jerry: Hmm.
Alexis: Because she, unlike me, enjoys a precarious situation. She's comfortable in it and she knows how to use a gun.
Jerry: Oh.
Alexis: She can wield it as easily as she -- as she can file a brief -- more reason why you should use her as your attorney.
Jerry: No, no, no, no. It -- it seems that you're not listening to me. I don't want another attorney. I -- I want you. Understand?
Nikolas: Oh! Oh, God!
Nikolas: Oh. Okay.
Nadine: Oh, no, no! Oh!
Nadine: Oh!
Diego: Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! Come here!
Nadine: Nikolas!
Diego: Come here!
Diego: What do you think you're doing?
Nadine: Nikolas! Nikolas!
[Emily gags]
Diego: Ugh!
Nikolas: Emily.
Spinelli: Nothing was wrong with your sister. Georgie was -- she was wise and gentle and generous.
Maxie: And too afraid to say anything to you because she was scared she'd get her heart broken again.
Spinelli: I -- I would -- I would not have done that.
Maxie: Yeah, and Dillon also included that in his wedding vows, but he still got sidetracked and he bedded Lulu. And then you came along all gooey-eyed and unwanted by Lulu, too.
Spinelli: All right, Lulu is incapable of seeing the Jackal the way she saw Dillon.
Maxie: But what if she had? Yeah, what if she had and you had been with Georgie? Then what would you have done?
Spinelli: Oh -- well -- the Jackal's never even been --
Maxie: I'm not talking about the Jackal. I'm talking about you. For five seconds, please separate yourself from your fantasy life and just answer my question.
Spinelli: I -- I have never -- I've -- I've never been in the position to give my -- my heart, body, and soul to someone. If and when I do, all there is of me will be all theirs until they wish to hand it back to me.
Mac: So Diego chloroformed you, threw you in the trunk of his car, and then he goes --
Lucky: To get Sam's duffel bag, the one we found in the car, to make it look like she took off on her own.
Mac: And you had the bad luck of showing up just when he was leaving?
Elizabeth: Yeah, that would explain it.
Mac: Is there anything else you can tell us, anything Diego said?
Sam: No. I mean, the last thing I remember is waking up in the warehouse. I don't -- I don't know, it could've been anywhere, and then he drugged me again to take me out.
Mac: Look, I already have an A.P.B. out on Diego. I'll narrow it to the harbor.
Lucky: You all right?
Sam: I'm fine.
Lucky: Can I get some help over here?
Sam: Oh. Mac, I'm sorry I can't give you more to go on.
Mac: You've given us plenty. Obviously, Diego's the text message killer. I promise you we're going to get him and I'm going to be there when we do.
Lucky: Hey, I'm going with you.
Mac: No, you're getting in a car and going the hospital to get patched up. You've played hero enough for one night.
Lucky: Mac, we got every available man on this. You're too close. Don't put yourself in a situation where you might do something you'll regret. You got nothing to prove, you don't have to do this.
Mac: Yes, I do. Go get patched up.
Elizabeth: How's he doing?
Paramedic: Well, he probably has a concussion and it looks like his hands are going to need a lot of suturing up. Okay?
Elizabeth: Thanks.
Elizabeth: Max saw Diego kidnapping me in your parking garage. I'm sure he called Jason.
Sam: What were you doing in my building in the first place?
Mac: There's another ambulance on the way. While we're waiting, I'll take your statement.
Nikolas: Nadine? Nadine?
Nikolas: Oh, man.
Spinelli: Oh, God, I'm getting so close but this -- this signal is so weak, I can't keep a connection for long enough to Jackal the proper codes and raise the gate grate.
Maxie: I have to get out of here.
Spinelli: Oh, okay. Ah. Uh-uh. Come on, come on. You -- you were so close, just try.
Maxie: And get my clothes full of the same crud that's on my shoes? I don't think so.
Spinelli: Oh, okay, then we're stuck in here for at least another 10 hours.
Maxie: Let me -- let me take my shoes off.
Maxie: Oh, my shoes -- look at me.
Spinelli: Okay. Hey.
Maxie: Oh.
Spinelli: Okay, okay -- when you're through, you have to tell someone of my predicament, okay?
Maxie: Mm-hmm, after I take a shower, because I can feel the germs boring through my skin.
Maxie: I might not even get to wash my hands. I'm stuck! Oh.
Alexis: We can both go over this back and forth until we're both blue in the face, but it's not going to change the fact that I'm not going to do this. I don't have the time, I don't have the patience.
Jerry: So -- so that's it? That's it -- you're going to abandon me in my time of need?
Alexis: It's a funds transfer, it's not a stay of execution. Diane is perfectly capable of --
Jerry: Oh, come on. There's a fine line between bending the rules and breaking the law.
[Alexis chuckles]
Jerry: I mean, in one wrong step, Ms. Miller could deprive me of the very freedom that you fought so tirelessly to defend and then what? I mean, and then you would blame yourself for her shortcomings? I mean, that's -- that's guilt that could haunt a person forever, darling.
Alexis: What do you know about guilt? You haven't had a day of remorse in your life.
Jerry: Well, I definitely -- you know, I feel sorry -- of having a chance to be with you.
Alexis: All right, that -- stop it. It's -- it's -- it's obsessive. Find a hobby, get a friend, read a book. I don't care -- do something. Focus on something else, focus on someone else. Just -- just leave me alone.
Jerry: All right, all right. Then give me one reason why I should.
Alexis: Your brother.
Sonny: The Zaccharas did this and they -- they can't hold Michael forever.
Jax: Oh. And you think you've got something they want in trade?
Sonny: No, I don't think -- I know.
Carly: Then why hasn't it happened?
Sonny: Because it's -- it's a spitting contest.
Jax: Have they even admitted to taking Michael or shooting Kate?
Sonny: They don't need to.
Jax: Oh, right, of course, because you and the oracle Jason Morgan know all, see all, and shoot all.
Sonny: Jax, do you really want to wind me up right now?
Jax: I just think you're being a little too cavalier about this, not to mention stupidly sure of yourself.
Sonny: Okay, let's get this clear right now. You can marry Carly, you can adopt Michael and Morgan, you can buy them the Taj Mahal if you want. But they're still my kids.
Jax: Yeah, then stop treating Michael like he's a drug bundle up for the highest bidder.
Sonny: You know what? I just heard you got a kid in the oven. Concentrate on that, I'll concentrate on Michael.
Carly: Stop it!
Jax: Okay, you know --
Carly: I can't imagine. I can't imagine purposely holding someone's kid no matter what there is to gain.
Peg: You shot somebody?
Michael: It was an accident.
Peg: Who did you shoot?
Michael: My -- my father's girlfriend, I guess.
Peg: Hmm. Well, I knew wives that took up that sport.
Michael: My mom and dad aren't together.
Peg: Where did you get the gun in the first place?
Michael: I bought it.
Peg: Did you know how to use it?
Peg: Did you kill that person?
Michael: Uh -- I don't know. But I can still see her blood -- I can still see her blood on my hands.
Peg: You know, I've been watching the TV news and -- well, that's what they call it nowadays -- and they don't seem to be looking for you. Why is that?
Michael: Well, maybe they just don't care.
Peg: Well, maybe you should find out?
Michael: My father told me that if he ever caught me with a gun, I should turn around, run, and keep on running.
Peg: Well, my father told me to get lost a lot, too, but I never took him up on it. I'm going to go put some supper together. Are you staying? You know, this trouble that you're in -- you might want to think about the fact that running away can only wind up causing more trouble.
Epiphany: We have incoming, at least one gunshot wound.
Ian: I'll stay and cover. Cancer seems to be done in this month -- good thing that I have cosmetic surgery to fall back on. Breast lift, anyone?
Patrick: Oh, wow, you're trying, but your heart's just not in it. What's wrong with you anyways?
Ian: Some cozy night by the fire, I'll tell you.
Robin: You're still here?
Patrick: Well, I missed happy hour, so I thought I would just wait for desperate hour.
Robin: Exactly what I would expect from you.
Patrick: Which is exactly why you're hearing it. You're going to put the labels on me, I'll do my best to live up to them.
Robin: Okay, fine -- one question, one answer. When you heard that I was pregnant and you thought that it wasn't your child, you were relieved, right? Yes or no?
Patrick: Yes.
Robin: And now you're mostly feeling angry with me, right?
Patrick: Because you lied to me, Robin.
Robin: Because I didn't feel like leaning on your ambivalence and I still don't.
Patrick: We loved each other. And maybe we still do.
Robin: This baby was conceived in grief, not love. I'm not going to add your guilt and confusion to the mix.
Sonny: Listen, just sit tight. I -- I got it under control.
Jax: Not until we've got our son back, you don't.
Sonny: If I know Jason, he's looking into this Alcazar thing in -- you know, in his own way. And I got every man, you know, trying to get a lead on Michael. You -- what you need to do, you need to -- you need to concentrate on being a good mother and you let me -- you let me bring Michael home. Do you trust me?
Peg: If you got the mind, I'll spring for the call.
Ian: Nurse? Could I ha your opinion about something?
Leyla: Yes, Doctor.
Ian: Was my heart in that?
Leyla: No.
Ian: Oh -- disturbing.
Leyla: I'm sure it's just a phase. Someone will get your heart rate up again in no time. Oh, and, Dr. Devlin? You try that again and I'll report you for sexual harassment.
Regina: The doctor will be right with you.
Sam: Thank you.
Lucky: Excuse me.
Sam: Hey.
Lucky: Hey.
Sam: Shouldn't you be lying down or something?
Lucky: Not with Diego Alcazar out there.
Sam: No, no, no. You cannot go out there -- he is crazy, you're hurt. Come on.
Lucky: Hey, I'm okay. I got plenty of practice at the walking wounded.
Ian: You'll have to excuse us, please.
Sam: Hey. Be careful.
Lucky: You take care of her.
Ian: I tried once. This time, she's not getting away so easy.
Patrick: I'm not officially on duty, but when the ambulance called in the case, I was here, so I'm going to consult. Apart from your blood loss, you have one finger hanging by a thread, nerve severance leading to several others. If we don't act fast, you're not going to have the muscle or nerve coordination to hold a spoon in either hand.
Maxie: Spinelli, do something! Don't touch me there!
Spinelli: Okay, okay, okay!
Maxie: Ooh, forget it! You're not helping.
Maxie: What is that?
Spinelli: Um -- okay, well, -- well, the good news is that the city computer accepted my override code.
Maxie: And the bad news?
Spinelli: One or both of these grates are going to be retracted into the slots of the ceiling and scrape off anything that's stuck in them.
[Whirring noise]
[Computer beeps]
[Chirps]
Nikolas: Game over.
Luke: You wouldn't keep anything from me about your mother, would you? Patrick: It's not good, Jason -- I'm not going to lie to you. Jason: When can I go back to work? Patrick: I was thinking, are you ever going to work again? Nikolas: I'm going to make you wish that you stayed dead.
Mar 5, 2008 10:25
Lulu: Lucky -- ahem -- are you here?
Scott: All right -
Lulu: Oh!
Scott: Lulu, don't worry. I'm not liquored up.
Lulu: No, you need to leave.
Scott: Well, you need to know something here, all right? When you get the guts up to go see what's left of Logan, I want you to know this. Stay away from my son!
Luke: Yeah, I want you to know this! I told you to keep him away from her in the first place!
[Ric and Marianna laugh]
Marianna: I can't believe how priceless this piece of paper is.
Ric: Yes, you are now free from deportation. You have an application for a green card, and you have a work permit.
Marianna: Thanks to you.
Ric: Oh, no.
Marianna: Hmm. And all because I knew how to make a good cup of coffee.
Ric: Well, hardly.
[Marianna chuckles]
Ric: So -
Marianna: So -- what happens now?
Maxie: You have to do something before this thing goes all the way up and scrapes me off like sewer gum!
Maxie: What's that, Spinelli?
Spinelli: Oh, the -- the original grate that descended to impede our progress is rising, but this one -- I -- I cannot override the over-- my previous override of the override system -
Maxie: Oh!
Spinelli: To stop it from doing the same thing!
Nikolas: You took away the most beautiful thing that I've ever known in my life. You didn't think I'd remember, did you? You didn't think I'd remember you strangling her to death. Hurts, doesn't it?
[Diego coughs]
Nikolas: Doesn't it? Now I'm going to make you wish that you stayed dead!
Patrick: Now, this is only temporary. We're trying to protect your hands as much as possible. We removed the largest pieces of glass, immobilized your joints. You suffered a concussion, but you'll be fine in a couple days. Our priority right now is to get you stabilized and get you into the O.R. It's not good, Jason. I'm not going to lie to you. We also gave you enough antibiotics and painkillers to put down a horse. If you're thinking of getting out of here and doing something heroic, don't. You're only going to waste everybody's time when you fall down and we have to pick you up. Now for that big, indelicate question -
Jason: When can I go back to work?
Patrick: I was thinking more along the lines of are you ever going to work for Sonny Corinthos again?
Patrick: I can't guarantee you'll be fit for urban warfare again. We're going to do the best we can as quickly as we can. Hand specialists -- they're on their way. We're going to get you prepped for surgery into an O.R. that's equipped with video linkup. Video conference surgery -- every top-dog surgeon that can't be here will be looking down on us via satellite.
Jason: Thank you.
Patrick: No thank-you necessary. Big surgeries like this put coins in the G.H. piggy bank, which is more than I can say for your regular body count in the G.H. morgue. I ducked out earlier and had a couple drinks, so I won't be picking up a scalpel. Plus, this surgery is out of my specialty.
Jason: That's good to know.
Patrick: Look, I'm trying to be a better man here. I'm at a cross purpose of ethics. You can understand the irony and the possibilities. This is one of the most complex, if not the most complex mechanical actions that your body and mind can do. Now, I can't give you a prognosis until they get in there and see the big picture. But while we're doing everything we can to make sure this surgery is a success, you should take the opportunity to think if there's anything else those hands are capable of.
Ian: Well, it looks like you've gone and ruined all the wonderful work that I have done. Oh. You know, if you wanted to see me again, all you had to do was schedule a follow-up, ma'am.
Sam: Oh, man. I bet that line actually works on some women.
Ian: Not on you?
Sam: Look, doc, I am in far too much pain and I have gone through way too much to flirt with my doctor. And you are a doctor, aren't you?
[Sam chuckles]
Sam: Really? Or are you just some guy who came off the street and put that thing -- his blue suit on and took a peak under my sheets?
Ian: Miss, I am twice a doctor. Reconstructive surgeon to oncologist, remember?
Sam: Well, I don't see the connection.
Ian: You don't need to. Well, it looks like you've -- well, popped out a few things that need to get popped back in again.
Sam: Oh. Whoa, that was technical.
Ian: I figure why bore you with all the medical mumbo-jumbo or scare you with all the gory details after the night you've had?
Sam: Thanks.
Ian: Uh-huh. Suffice it to say, it's not an emergency, but you should get this taken care of sooner rather than later. I can repair all the damage you've done, inside and out.
Sam: Huh? "Out"?
Ian: Yeah, a scar that you're going to have. I take requests, you know.
Sam: What?
Ian: Yeah. Designer scars. Oh, yeah, it's all the rage. Yeah, for virtually the same price, I can make it completely invisible. Or I can doctor it up to be a little bit more aesthetically pleasing. A simple tribal symbol. Maybe your initials, a quick haiku.
Sam: Oh, yeah, good. You're kidding? You're kidding. Yeah?
Ian: Yeah.
Sam: Good.
Ian: Of course I am. But it took your mind off the pain long enough to let the meds take the edge off, didn't it?
Sam: Oh, god -- I'm ok. So you are too smooth to use one-liners. Let me think -- plastic surgeon, oncologist, two different types of doctors. Are there two different types of men behind the degrees?
Ian: How badly do you want to know?
Alexis: Jax is my best friend in the whole world. Not to mention, my ex-husband.
Jerry: Oh, from a marriage that was never consummated.
Alexis: Well, that's not the point.
Jerry: Well, I mean, you're the last person I expected to worry about keeping it in the family. I mean, Sonny and Ric are brothers, but that didn't stop you from having a child with each one of them.
Alexis: Must you keep drudging up my past?
Jerry: Well, history has a way of repeating itself, doesn't it?
Alexis: Well, it's not going to do it again, because Jax is the most functional relationship that I've ever had with a boy, and I'm not going to screw it up by getting involved with his deadbeat brother.
Jerry: Oh! Oh, darling, darling -- and then name-calling. Please, I mean, that hurts, you know? But just to tell you, I'm not as destitute as you think I am. My employment might be unconventional, but it's very, very lucrative, darling.
Alexis: Your business is very, very naughty at best, and I am not going to be a party to it.
Jerry: Then I'm afraid I'm going to be forced to retain Ms. -- Ms. Miller's services, after all, and sue you for breach of contract.
[Maxie whimpers]
Spinelli: I'm --
Spinelli: Oh, ha! Ok. Once more, The Jackal has -
Maxie: Only made things worse! You need to get me out of here!
[Computer chimes]
Maxie: Oh, just help me, Spinelli! Please!
Spinelli: Um -- um -- um --
[Spinelli grunts]
Maxie: Where are you going?
Spinelli: I -- I -- I don't know!
Maxie: Come back here!
Spinelli: Ok.
Maxie: Pull me out!
Maxie: Pull me out.
Spinelli: How?
Maxie: I don't really care how. You have to get me out of here.
[Spinelli groans]
Maxie: Ok, hold on -
Spinelli: I got you. Ok.
Maxie: Oh, perfect.
Spinelli: So here we are.
Maxie: Yeah, here we are. Now where are we going to go?
Spinelli: Um -- going up?
[Spinelli chuckles]
Maxie: Ok. Ok.
Spinelli: Um -- oh -- thanks.
Nikolas: Tell me, did you feel anything when you killed her? Feel anything.
Diego: You lost one person. I lost my entire family! Ugh! Oh! No! No -- oh! Oh! Who's helpless now?
Spinelli: Thus, the infamous drain channel 17 that the clean-cut cadet clues us in about runs under the city's thoroughfares and byways -
Maxie: Oh, oh! What's all this stuff?
Spinelli: Jackal, P.I., shall study the facts and clues and ascertain.
Maxie: I think someone was attacked.
Spinelli: The Jackal, P.I., believes that someone was attacked.
Maxie: Hmm.
Spinelli: I believe I've -- I believe I've observed this on the hand of the noble nurse Nadine.
Maxie: Ugh.
Spinelli: No, no, no! And -- I -- I think -- if I'm not mistaken, she has the exact same intoxicating scent as her sister, the not-so-fair Jolene.
Maxie: Compact, lip-gloss, blush, all ruined, what a waste.
Spinelli: A conclusive sniff of her handkerchief -
Maxie: Quite the crafty one, I see. Wait!
Spinelli: This -- this is most unusual. This is not perfume, and -
Maxie: No, it's chloroform, stupid!
Spinelli: Never fear. The Jackal, P.I., has an exceptionally strong constitution, weakened only by select ingredients and certain cold remedies and various other widely available products. But -- I mean, there -- there couldn't have been enough of the substance still in the -
Maxie: Oh, god -- oh.
Spinelli: Onward. We must find the noble nurse Nadine. Um -- upward! The Jackal guards the rear.
Scott: Your daughter hauled off and clubbed my son in the head with a monkey wrench.
Luke: Elegant choice of weaponry, gumdrop.
Scott: Listen, Lulu, the last time I saw Logan, he was heartbroken. He wanted to make things work out with you. Now, he's -- he's just in a coma.
Luke: How do you tell the difference?
Lulu: Stop it. It was a mistake. I thought he was going to hurt me.
Scott: Yeah, I know, that's the story that you're flagging, that you want us all to believe. But it kind of has the ironic tragedy of your mother and Rick Webber written all over it. Spencer!
Luke: Bum leg or no bum leg, you spew that sewage up one more time, they'll be sucking up your brains with a dust buster!
Lulu: I said stop!
Scott: You know, you Spencer women -- that's -- that's what you like to do. You like to protect the useless deadbeat, some coward. Maybe you didn't club my son. Maybe it was your friend Johnny. He's been a little scarce lately.
Sonny: What's this?
Johnny: Music therapy. Calms me down. You ought to try it sometime.
[Diego pants]
Spinelli: Well, this is all too familiar. Except last time, The Jackal was with Stone Cold and everyday hero and he was shot -- and he fell.
Maxie: Spinelli, come on! I don't want to be up here by myself!
Diego: You won't be.
Alexis: Breach of contract?
Jerry: Breach of contract. I retained you as my attorney, and now you're refusing to provide me with adequate representation.
Alexis: Because there is a conflict of interest.
Jerry: But you see, this transaction needs to be dealt with the utmost discretion. If not, I could be subject to a great deal of undue suffering.
Alexis: There isn't a judge on this planet that will hold me liable for your pain.
Jerry: Maybe not, but then we'd be tied up in deposition for hours debating the point.
[Jerry chuckles]
Alexis: You wouldn't.
Jerry: Don't underestimate just how far I'd go to spend time with you, Alexis, darling.
Alexis: What's the account number?
Ian: Mary Riley.
Sam: Oh, is that another patient?
Ian: No. It's a name that popped into my head. Mary Riley, Elizabeth Frankenstein, Lucy Seward -- all brave and beautiful women, seduced into the shadows by men of madness and debauchery.
[Sam scoffs]
Sam: What are you talking about?
Ian: Dr. Jekyll, Dr. Frankenstein -
Sam: Ok.
Ian: And everybody's favorite blood bank bandit, Count Dracula.
Sam: Hmm.
Ian: They all led double lives. And those lives ended for the women who became too curious about them.
Sam: Interesting bedside manner you have.
Ian: Two, actually. Clinical and compassionate, and fast and furious.
Sam: Ok. Well, which one am I seeing now?
Ian: Neither. Which makes me curious about you. And -- it makes me think another doctor should take up your case.
Marianna: I would've made coffee had I known you wanted it.
Ric: I know that. That's why I didn't tell you that I wanted it.
Marianna: Thank you.
Ric: What are you doing?
Marianna: I was just looking -
Ric: No, no, no, no, no, no.
Marianna: For a job and a furnished room to rent.
Ric: There's no rush for you to do anything.
Marianna: Well, I think there is. If I stay here, people are going to get the wrong idea.
Ric: Oh, really? And what would that be? Friends trying to help out another friend?
Marianna: No, I told you, people talk. And there were those in Martha's Vineyard who suspected randy abused me and thought I deserved what I got because I used him to come to America, and -
Ric: Yeah, but you didn't.
Marianna: You only have my word for everything.
Ric: Well, that's all I need, ok? I believe you. You got no reason to lie to me. Hey, listen, I went to Martha's Vineyard to find myself, ok? And while I was there, I was able to -- to get rid of some demons. I think it's about time you do the same. Hmm? Nobody's going to hurt you ever again. Ok?
Marianna: Ok.
Regina: The pain should be easing off by now.
[Jason sighs]
Jason: Did they find Diego?
Elizabeth: I don't think so.
Jason: I should've -- I should've figured this out.
Elizabeth: You can't risk any more than you already have.
Jason: You can't, either. You shouldn't be here with me. We're not supposed to -
Elizabeth: I have a perfectly logical reason for seeing you. You saved my life. And it probably ruined yours.
[Nikolas gasps]
Nikolas: Agh.
Emily: Nikolas, it's not your time. And you still have more to do.
[Gasp]
Emily: I'm still here. You can't go yet.
Diego: Look at this. It's like a wonderful parting gift.
Maxie: The police are coming.
Diego: Oh! Let them.
Maxie: Agh!
Diego: You're going to be long gone before they get me.
[Maxie gags]
Diego: Oh, hey, say hi to your sister for me.
[Maxie hits Diego]
Maxie: Oh, oh!
Diego: Aw, come on! No!
Nikolas: Let her go.
Diego: Or what?
Mar 5, 2008 11:01
Alexis: Hmm.
Diane: Ok, you have two choices -- late-night supper or pole dancing.
Alexis: We went pole dancing last night.
Diane: You know, I knew you'd say that. Good -- we're going out to dinner. But first -- an aperitif.
Alexis: I can't. I've got this -- this --
Diane: You don't seem to realize, Alexis -- this is an intervention.
Alexis: She says holding a beer in her hand.
[Diane chuckles]
Alexis: I can't. I'm -- I'm up to my --
Diane: Yes, I can see exactly what you are. What you are is sitting alone in your office, late night, all alone, going over, what -- uh-huh, closed case files. You remind me of my father during the last year of his life -- just poring over the obituary columns.
Alexis: No, really, stop with the flattery. Why aren't you toiling away, burning the midnight oil on your star client
Sonny, making sure that he remains the powerful man that he is?
Diane: Sonny is a bit preoccupied lately now that Kate's, um -- well, what's the district attorney's office calling it?
Alexis: "Under investigation."
Diane: And off the record?
Ian: I'm sure Dr. Drake can recommend a colleague that knows his way around a hip and I know at least a few hundred plastic surgeons out in L.A. Yeah, you go out there and you -- you pick them off the celebrities like ticks.
Sam: Oh, ok. Well, what if I want you?
Ian: I reserve the right to refuse my service to anyone.
Sam: No. I will not let you. You're the reason I'm back in here.
Ian: Excuse me?
Sam: Yes, you are. You -- you were in the E.R. the night I was run down and Patrick said you did an amazing job on me.
Ian: Yeah, I did.
Sam: Yes, yes -- so good, in fact, that you made me heal so quickly that you basically pushed me into the arms of the killer.
Ian: Blackmail, emotional or otherwise, doesn't work with me.
Sam: All right. Then what does work with you?
Ian: I'd like to keep you overnight for observation, if you don't mind.
Sam: Oh! Gross -- now that was a cheap come-on line.
Ian: Don't baby that hip, ok?
Ian: I'll have a nurse walk you up and down the floor. Stay on it as often as possible for as long as possible. There's a guard that's going to be posted outside, so no one's going to bother you for the rest of the night, including me.
Diego: You came back quicker than I thought.
Nikolas: I'm motivated.
Diego: So am I! It's even more fun the second time around, isn't it? Just because you know I'm out there doesn't mean I can't get to you.
Diego: I can get you anywhere, you know? I could get you in your living room, maybe in your bed, hmm? Huh? I can even get you when you're visiting your sister. That would almost make it worth it to let you go -- almost. Huh!
[Emily chokes]
[Maxie groans]
Diego: Ah! Ah! Oh, oh, oh!
Jason: Aren't nurses supposed to be more encouraging than this?
Elizabeth: Yeah, you're right. I'm sorry. I know you're going to be fine.
Jason: I'm -- I'm shooting for perfect. It's -- it's what I need to do --
Elizabeth: What you do. I know you, I can see it. Stop fighting the sedative. It'll be better if you just give in to it.
Jason: I don't -- I don't like this feeling.
Elizabeth: I know, I know.
Jason: And I know you. Please don't feel guilty.
Elizabeth: How did you even know where to come find us?
Det. Rodriguez: I have the same question.
Sonny: So it -- it calms you down to vandalize other people's property?
Johnny: I'd say it's a lesser crime than kidnaping. Oh, yeah. Yep.
Sonny: A woman I care about was shot and almost killed, my son is missing. That makes a guy very tense and when you're tense you want to hit something like a bag or something, but I don't see a bag here. You see -- you guys see a bag here?
Milo: I don't, no, Mr. C.
Sonny: You know, sometimes --
Johnny: Ugh!
Sonny: Oh, but I feel better now. I feel a lot better. How about you?
Johnny: Yeah -- that all you got, cowboy? I already told you I don't know a thing about your son or your girl. I do
know I haven't had a thing to eat or drink since I've been here.
Sonny: Good. That means that my people are following orders. You guys get out.
Sonny: You know, it occurred to me that Trevor has set up everything and he -- he don't care what I got or how you wind up.
Johnny: Yeah, well, let's just hope whoever's got Michael is taking better care of him than you are of me.
Sonny: Well, you better do better than hope. You better pray. Write yourself a hymn. Bye, Johnny.
Luke: Time to go, snake face.
Scott: You know, now that I think about it, it's a little more sinister than I thought. Maybe you're -- you're happy that Logan's in a coma.
Lulu: That is not true.
Scott: Because if he wakes up, he might rat somebody out or he might say that you went off on him again.
Luke: Went off on him how?
Lulu: It's nothing.
Scott: Yeah. Now that I think about it, Johnny probably showed up, tried to save the day and he's the one that hit
Logan, and now you're saying that you did it because it's more sympathetic from --
Lulu: No, that is not true, either. Logan already apologized for getting out of hand with me.
Luke: What do you mean, "getting out of hand"?
Scott: So you -- you thought that he wasn't going to rape you but he was going to kill you?
Luke: Hey, I'm talking here! What did his son do to you and why is this the first time I'm hearing about it?
Scott: He got a little possessive trying to make a point.
Lulu: He wouldn't stop when I asked him to let go.
Luke: Hey, you -- out, now!
Scott: You know, you're in no position to do anything there, gimpy.
Alice: Is there a problem here, Mr. Luke?
Scott: What's she doing here?
Luke: Alice, my delicate flower, would you toss this hunk of hair out of here?
Alice: Face first or --
Scott: All right, all right, all right -- let go, you're bending the threads here. Lulu? You're hiding something. It's going to come out -- it always does.
Lulu: You mean like what you did to my mother?
Luke: What did he do to your mother?
Marianna: Hmm.
Ric: I want to take you somewhere tomorrow.
Marianna: Hmm. We just came from somewhere.
Ric: No, no, no. This is downtown. You know that deed that my father wants to get his hands on so badly?
Marianna: The waterfront properties?
Ric: Mm-hmm, yeah. I want to take you to see it.
Marianna: Why?
Ric: You got a good sense about things.
Marianna: Huh -- except where my life is concerned.
Ric: Well, you had the good sense to be nice to me, right?
Marianna: Oh, that is awful.
Ric: What?
Marianna: Makes me sound so calculating.
Ric: Oh -- well, you're not and you know that I know that, so calm down.
Marianna: Oh.
Ric: I'm sorry.
Marianna: No, I just -- I can't help it. It's my mom, she had nothing and she just -- she still had so much happiness in her. She always warned me "never want more than you can hold in your arms or someday you'll just have to leave it behind."
Ric: Oh. Well, I think that's good and bad advice. See, I want everything for Molly.
Marianna: Well, no one could have everything. Hey, I mean, if someone did then -- then there wouldn't be anything to wish for or -- or to dream about.
Ric: What do you want? Hmm?
Marianna: I want to be free.
Ric: Oh, well, you're well on your way.
Marianna: And what do you want?
Ric: Well, we both have a lot of things that we got to think about here. And for right now, I want what I can hold in my arms.
[Marianna sighs]
Alexis: Let's just say that I have a source -- not a particularly reliable source. As a matter of fact, I don't remotely trust this source at all, but it's a knowledgeable source.
Diane: Just say "Jerry Jacks."
Alexis: I did not say that.
Diane: Just say it -- what did he say?
Alexis: You said that, not me. Jerry said that Sonny and his competitors were all vying for the same waterfront property.
Diane: So, what, Kate is collateral damage?
Alexis: It's a leading theory.
Diane: I knew it. I knew I was right when I told her to run when Sonny made that marriage proposal.
Alexis: The heart does not always follow what logic dictates.
Diane: Doesn't that also apply to you and your criminally minded, roguishly attractive source? See, I knew I should give you the same advice about Jerry Jacks that I gave to Kate about Sonny.
Alexis: There is no comparison.
Diane: There is every comparison. It can't -- it -- it is one thing to help powerful men move the levers of power, it is quite another to let your heart get involved.
Alexis: I'm very well aware of what his motives are. I know that he's using me, trying to use me to capitalize on the fact that he probably saved my daughter's life. And the truth is if he hadn't been driving by and didn't see her on the -- my sole focus is to find the maniac who chased Sam into the oncoming traffic.
Elizabeth: Jason's on his way to surgery. He can't answer questions right now.
Det. Rodriguez: I thought you were one of the victims in tonight's incident.
Jason: She was.
Det. Rodriguez: But so devoted to duty that you're dispensing care on the side or just to Jason in particular?
Elizabeth: You should leave.
Det. Rodriguez: I think I should capitalize on the moment. Wounded, sedated -- couldn't be a better time to get the truth out of Jason Morgan. Amazing rescue, really -- nick of time and all that.
Elizabeth: Have you found Diego yet?
Det. Rodriguez: No, but we're working on it. We obviously don't have the kind of intuition that Mr. Morgan has in
finding him. What we got from the scene from Ms. McCall was that Diego Alcazar wanted to make sure that she ended up just like his father. I wonder how that correlates to driving out in the middle of the night to a deserted bridge. This wouldn't happen to be a site for illegal dumping -- would it?
Patrick: You have exactly five seconds to get away from my patient.
Det. Rodriguez: I'm investigating a crime, several of them.
Patrick: And I'm taking him to the O.R. If your questioning in any way gets linked to a delay in Mr. Morgan's surgery, he will have the grounds to sue the pc especially if something goes wrong. There's already two witnesses that'll be more than happy to testify to your behavior.
Jason: It's the warehouse.
Patrick: Say good night. We got a lot of work to do.
Jason: It's where Sam shot Diego. I would -- I would look there.
Det. Rodriguez: More intuition?
Jason: Just common sense.
Diego: Ah!
Nikolas: Die!
Diego: Ah! Ah! Ah! Ugh! Oh! Ah!
Luke: It's pretty hard for me to swallow that you two know something about Laura that I don't.
Scott: She's talking about the night that Rick Webber died and how we covered things up to protect the people that we care about. Sometimes, though, these things just percolate up and we've got to put a lid on it so that nobody else gets hurt.
Alice: I'm going to go make sure he uses his seat belt.
Lulu: So how long is Alice going to stay here?
Luke: I don't know. You know, she busted me out of mercy. She's offered to drag me around until Tracy and I patch things up, but I guess we'll be here till I can move around on my own steam. Lesley Lu? Is there any truth to what that dimwit is selling?
Lulu: About what?
Luke: About you protecting Johnny Zacchara?
Lulu: Huh. No, I hit Logan. I thought he was the killer.
Luke: You wouldn't keep anything from me about your mother, would you?
Lulu: What I did to Logan and what she did to Rick Webber are a little too close for comfort and he knows that. I just don't want to talk about it anymore.
Luke: Ok. Something else on your mind, though?
Lulu: Um -- mom used to have a lot of old records.
Luke: You mean her -- huh -- music-to-nod-off-by collection?
[Lulu chuckles]
Lulu: Yeah -- um, yeah. Do you know where they are?
Luke: Well, I think the last time I saw them, they were in the back of a closet somewhere upstairs. I'm sure Lucky didn't throw them out. Lesley Lu? You don't have to play games with me. I'm not much on advice, but I did used to write fortunes for cookies, and my favorite one was "secrets always come out -- especially the ugly ones."
Mac: Maxie!
Maxie: Dad! Diego, he --
Mac: We know, we know.
Lucky: Where is he?
Mac: We know. Oh.
Nikolas: He's upstairs -- hanging from the catwalk.
Spinelli: Yeah. The Jackal believes that the text message killer is indeed dead for real this time.
Nikolas: Nadine, what happened -- Nadine --
Spinelli: Oh.
[Classical music plays]
Johnny: See? It's lonely.
Lulu: No, it's not. It's more like a sad, beautiful yearning.
Prostitute: Hey! Go.
Second prostitute: Hey there, handsome. Want to party?
Ian: Yeah. Yeah, I do -- not with you. With you.
Patrick: I have nothing but guesses about how this is going to turn out -- just a caution. I know that you and Jason were close once.
Elizabeth: Oh, it's history. I have two children now.
Patrick: Well, I'm glad. Call me sentimental, but I always hope there's a chance that a mother and father can get back together, especially when there's children involved.
Elizabeth: Always a chance.
Kate: Sonny cheated on me.
Robin: This is a bad idea. You collapsed again.
Nikolas: I need to find Nadine.
[Nadine screams]
[Bomb beeps]

Spinelli: The constant commissioner just left. He didn't know I was here.
Maxie: Yeah. He wanted to come here with me, but I just wanted to be alone.

Sam: Well, you know, I'm -- Lucky, I am so sorry. You two have met, right?
Ian: Well, not formally. Dr. Ian Devlin.
Lucky: Lucky Spencer.
Ian: Detective Spencer, right? Huh. So I -- I assume that you're here with some information about Ms. McCall's hit and run?
Lucky: Yeah, the department is still working on it.
Ian: And are you working on it personally?
Lucky: No, I took myself off the case.
Ian: Oh. Well, then, I guess I won't be interrupting any official police business when I take Ms. McCall upstairs to run some tests.
Sam: Tests? No, no, no -- what tests? You said I was going to leave today.
Ian: Ah, you made that call yourself before. This time, I'm having some say in your future.
Sam: Oh, that's interesting. You seem like you're in a better mood today.
Ian: Well, it's amazing what sleeping in the right bed will do for you.
Lucky: Do you want me to take you back upstairs?
Ian: We have it, Detective. It's okay. I'm sure Ms. McCall would far more appreciate you finding that reckless animal that hit her.
Sam: Thank you for --
Lucky: It's okay. Dr. Devlin's anxious.
Ian: To help heal a beautiful woman -- what man isn't?
Ian: Nurse Johnson.
Epiphany: Dr. Devlin.
Cassius: Why -- why are you always so down on that man?
Epiphany: Why are you so all up in my business?
Cassius: You -- you think I got an ulterior motive for -- for getting help after you had your heart attack? Or -- or maybe I had an ulterior motive for pushing Spinelli into looking into Stan's death, hmm?
[Cassius sighs] Cassious: look, the man who may have had him murdered, his name is Moreau, he's some kind of I don't know, some kind of phantom drug dealer.
Epiphany: I knew that he would go off and get entangled in it. What?
Cassius: I don't -- you just always have to think the worst about everybody, don't you? I mean, with me, i'm branded as some kind of brownie points for scraping you off the floor. As far as stan is concerned he's automatically on the street corner in key biscayne, dealing crystal meth and other drugs. For all you know, he could have been working for undercover, trying to expose this bad ass, moreau. Did you ever think of that?
Jax: Okay, carly, i will. I love you too.
Jerry: I see carly doesn't send her best.
Jax: No of course, she doesn't really like you, you know that.
Jerry: Well then, I mean she has every reason not to. As do you. I would never have come, if you hadn't first come to see me, but i really feel the need to have roots and family.
Jax: You're so full of crap!
Jerry: No, really.
Jax: Then try with a bit more sincerity.
Jerry: What? No I'm not
Jax: No, really? Then try it with a little bit more sincerity, then.
Jerry: .No -- no. Bloody hell --
Jax: No, go ahead -- come on.
Jerry: Oh, bloody hell. I feel the need to have roots and family -- there, are you happy?
Jax: That's better. Look, I got something to tell you -- things are a little sensitive at home at the moment.
Jerry: Oh, yes, yeah -- things that Carly wouldn't want me to know.
Jax: No, no, things we don't want anyone to know. She's going to kill me for telling you this, but -- I've been wanting to tell you this for a while.
Jerry: Yes, come on.
Jax: .You're going to be an uncle.
Jerry: Oh, my God!
Jax: Yeah.
Jerry: Congratulations! That's fantastic. Does Mum know?
Jax: No, no, no, no. We're just trying to keep it quiet, just -- at least for a while, yeah.
Jerry: Well, that's great. Oh, well -- well, if you have your hands full, if you want, I can come by and pick up the Jacks shipping proposal if you want and actually read it this time.
Jerry: Good.
Jax: I'm going to trust you with this.
Jerry: Yes, I know you are.
Jax: Don't disappoint me.
Jerry: I won't.
Jax: Okay -- I'm serious.
Jerry: Yeah, I won't. Go away, come on. Congratulations.
Jax: Thanks. [Music plays] Mike: Listen, guys, i'm sorry, i'll be with you as soon as i can. Okay.
Ric: Oh, boy.
Mike: All right.
Ric: I left my wallet in the car
Ric: Okay, I'll be right back.
Marianna: Bye, baby Woan: excuse me, i ordered meatloaf loaf!
Mike: Oh, the meat loaf. Oh, okay.
Man: Could I get another cup of coffee?
Mike: Coffee, you got it, yeah.
Woman: I need some more ketchup. Mike: You got it. Meatloaf? coffee? Ketchup. Sweetheart, i'll be right there. Mike: Ketchup. All -- all right, sweetheart. I'll be right -- I'll be right there. Boy, jeez.
Marianna: Did you order this? Woman: Um -- Marianna: No, right? I didn't think so. Here's your meat loaf. Coffee, right?
Man: Mm-hmm.
Marianna: Did you order this?
Woman: Oh, thanks.
Singer: I fell in love in a seedy bar radio waves
Marianna: Ketchup. Hi. Have a seat.
Singer: I know better than to meet you there hold on and fly your way back home
Mike: Uh -- I -- ahem. I don't know who you are, but that was amazing. And you did it all with a smile. I mean, you -- you wouldn't be looking for a job, would you?
Singer: Over ocean and stone
Robin: As far as i'm concerned, i'm still going to raise this baby on my own. And the father is some anonymous donor off the internet.
Patrick: I'm not.
Robin: But you wish you were. Patrick: Robin, let's try and deal with what is here. Robin: I'm going to do what i originally set out to do, which is have a baby. You did everything that you could possibly do but get on the hospital intercom and tell everyone that the last thing you would want to be is a father. So you don't get to stand there and act proud and happy because you've found out that you are one. As far as i'm concerned, you are.
Patrick: How can you say that?
Robin: You're my child's genetic donor, that is it, period.
Patrick: Ok, not wanting to go along with it, and going along with it because i love you are two different things.
Robin: I don't want my child to be an experiment! I don't want you to give it your best shot for the first couple of years, and then figure out that you can't hack it. That you're suddenly not interested anymore, and -- i don't want you finding out after the fact that you can't be there for the child. That's not fair to the child and not fair to me.
Patrick: You know what's not fair? You not telling me and then shutting me up. Whether you like it or not, i am a part of t and you don't get to decide what kind of father i am going to be!
Nikolas: What are you talking about?
Emily: Nikolas, do you think it's just going to go on like this until, what, you take a nap and you fade away? You slip off with me somewhere, hand-in-hand?
Nikolas: Why can't it be that way if that's the way we want it to be?
Emily: Because, Nikolas, you're a romantic, because you're so in love, all right, that you've been able to see me this way. You've been able to see me this way up until now.
Nikolas: I don't -- I don't know what you're talking about. What do you mean?
Emily: All right. I'm a doctor, okay? For lack of a better word, I'm the practical one. I'm the one who sees what you want to remember. I'm the one who sees what you can't remember. I'm the one who can see what's going on inside of you. I'm the one who can see how ugly it's going to get.
Nikolas: No, no, it won't. I promise.
Emily: Your tumor is going to get worse. Your symptoms are going to get worse. You're going to lose control. There's going to be madness before death. You're not going to be in charge of anything.
Nikolas: Oh, God, it hurts so much.
Emily: You're not going to be able to see me the way you want to see me.
Nikolas: Yes, I will.
Emily: You're only going to be able to see me the way you're afraid to see me.
Nikolas: No, that's not true. It's not true.
Emily: Dead --
Nikolas: No.
Emily: Dying --
Emily: And in pain.
Nikolas: No, okay, you're lying. You're lying to me right now because you just want me to live.
Emily: Yes. And if you love me, Nikolas, if you truly love me, then you will.
Nikolas: No. Emily -- God, wait. Wait, please. Oh, please. Oh, God!
Alexis: Nikolas, I'm not leaving until we've worked -- oh, my God.
Alexis: I have an emergency. I need an ambulance.
Marianna: Table two wants key lime pie, table four needs change.
Mike: Change.
Marianna: Table five has a wobbly leg -- but I fixed it.
Mike: Okay.
Marianna: And I've got a new pot of coffee brewing.
Mike: Yeah, well, you wouldn't be after my job right now, would you?
Marianna: I just love to see people smile.
Mike: Oh.
Jerry: Call me back when you come back from your mysterious workplace. I made the first steps and Jax is suspicious but amenable. I found that I have a conscience, after all, and I -- I feel that I've sold my brother's soul to the devil.
[Phone beeps]
Sonny: We all do things we want to take back. But I'm just -- you know, I'm looking forward to the day you get out of here and I hope that you decide to stay with me so I could take care of you while you recuperate.
Kate: I'll think about it.
Sonny: Ah. You're out to play hard to get. Listen, uh, I got to go make some calls about Michael. Um -- you'll be okay? Yeah.
[Kate gasps]
Lulu: I don't know why I didn't believe you when you said you weren't the killer. I should have, and now you're like this --
Scott: What the hell are you doing in here?
Lulu: I wanted to talk to Logan.
Scott: I got a news flash for you -- he can't talk. He's in a coma, you put him there. And if he was awake, you would be the last person that he'd want to talk to, Lulu.
Elizabeth: How do you feel? Do you remember what happened?
Jason: Yeah, Diego had you.
Elizabeth: And Sam and the car was about to go over the bridge when you --
Jason: Why were you there?
Elizabeth: Where?
Jason: At Sam's. I mean, that's where Diego grabbed you. What were you doing at Sam's in the first place?
Elizabeth: I couldn't -- I couldn't stand the guilt anymore. I went to her apartment to tell her that I think I'm the one who hit her on the road that night.
Elizabeth: And that's how I walked into this whole mess with Diego. I went to Sam's apartment to tell her that I think I'm the one who hit her.
Jason: I know, but there were other people on the road that night that could be responsible. You said you'd wait until I checked them all out.
Elizabeth: And I have waited.
Jason: Just please -- just give me a little more time.
Elizabeth: You just don't want it to be true, Jason. Believe me, neither do I. But it's time we have to face the fact that the person who ran down Sam and left her in the road possibly dying was me.
Nadine: Interesting tattoo.
Ian: Yeah. It's an angel's wing.
Nadine: Only one. What -- you can't quite believe they exist?
Ian: I take it you do.
Nadine: I met someone who convinced me.
Paramedic: We needed to ventilate him when we arrived on the scene.
Alexis: Oh, Robin --
Paramedic: Last check, the BP's 90/60, his respirations are shallow --
Alexis: I was over there, we got into a thing.
Paramedic: His pulse is very thready --
Alexis: I went out of the room, and I came back in and he was just against the couch, and he was unconscious.
Robin: Oh -- take him to cubicle two, get an O.R. prepped, and page Dr. Drake.
Nikolas: Where is she? Where'd she go?
Alexis: Nikolas, we're all here. Honey, everything's fine. You're going to be ok. All right? Here I am.
Nikolas: No, Robin, please don't cut it out of me. Please leave it.
Robin: It's okay, Nikolas. You're going to be fine. We're going to take the pain away. All your headaches.
Nikolas: No. No, then she'll go away. Please don't make her go away.
Alexis: Are you going to take him to surgery, Robin?
Epiphany: Ok. You have to let them do their jobs, ok? And right now, there's not any time to waste, so I know you don't want to be in the way.
Alexis: Robin, take care of him.
Epiphany: Let us help him get better.
Alexis: Ok.
Epiphany: And you just come out here and have a seat over here.
Alexis: All right, all right.
Epiphany: All right?
Nikolas: Emily? Emily? Emily?
Lulu: Did you see that? His hand moved. It was only a little bit and for a second, but his hand moved. I -- I wasn't imagining it. He actually did it. I felt it. He's coming -- he's starting to come out of it and then he actually might get better.
Scott: Well, no thanks to you, Lulu.
Patrick: I wouldn't be so sure.
[Footsteps]
Johnny: Did you figure out you made a mistake? That I really don't know where Michael is?
Sonny: What I figured out is I need to motivate you to remember.
Mar 10, 2008 05:30
Patrick: It's been well documented that some comatose patients, even though they can't actually hear, respond to people spending time with them, talking to them -- especially people they care about.
Scott: Well, she's the one that put him in here. She's the one that attacked him, went off on him like most Spencer women like to do.
Lulu: Oh, you really do not want to go there right now.
Scott: What I want is you out of here. How -- how is it possible that she's any good? I mean, she's the one that thought he was a serial killer, picked up a monkey wrench, and clubbed him for crying out loud after she kicked his heart around!
Patrick: You're the one that's not doing your son any good right now. And I don't have to tell you that even though you feel like your heart's been kicked around by women, you don't stop loving them.
[Pager beeps]
Patrick: Excuse me.
Sonny: It's pretty clear you love music. Wow. It's a way to deal with being locked up in here, isn't it? Play piano? Well, if things don't change, that's going to end real quick, especially if the only fingers you're going to have left are to play chopsticks. You see, at the rate it's going, Trevor is not worried to have you back. As a matter of fact, you know, his world is probably better off without you in it, especially now that he has your sister to hide behind. Claudia does not strike -- as the family type. I mean, she already left you when you were kids once, left you trapped with your psycho father who put a bullet in your mother -- a bullet that daddy meant for you. And the way I'm thinking, Claudia's just waiting to do it all over again. So the only person who's going to save you now, Johnny, is you.
Johnny: I'm the one who should be scared here. But it's pretty clear the only person who's scared in this room is you.
Trevor: Vaughn, listen to me. I want you to pinpoint every piece of property that Corinthos or Morgan own, locate anything that looks like a safe house. I want to find Johnny.
Mr. Vaughn: What about Ric? Are you any closer to getting the deed to the waterfront property?
Trevor: His newfound girlfriend, the immigrant -- she's turned out to be a total wash. She thinks she's going to sail off into the sunset, a fantasy, with my son and his newfound conscience. We just have to remind her how tenuous life is.
Randy: Hey there, Marianna. Marianna: What do you want?
Randy: Coffee. I know you know how i like it.
Marianna: I meant. what are you doing here?
Randy: Well, i'm responsible for you being in this beautiful country. I want to see how you're living the american dream.
Marianna: I don't want you to be hurt. I just want my life back --
Randy: i think it's pretty obvious what you wanted. And now you got it. A guy with all this money shows up -- the old homestead. It's kind of nostalgic. -- Lonely. I've got to hand it to you --
Marianna: it wasn't like that.
Randy: I know what it was like. I understand. Really, i do. That's why you haven't had immigration breathing down your neck. Hey, i haven't called anyone, and i won't. I won't be any trouble at all.Just take off that apron and walk out the door with me now.
Ric: The only one who's going to be leaving is you. You can walk out or you can crawl. Either way makes no difference to me.
Jason: I don't want to believe that you hit him, and you don't remember doing it
Elizabeth: i can remember being so tired from all the nightmares i have had in the hospital, and the meds you gave me to help me sleep. I can remember just wanting to be with you. And i know that i shouldn't have been driving, and i was fighting to stay awake, and the car jerked and there was a sound --
Jason: that was a tire bumping when you drifted off the road.
Elizabeth: We both felt I hit something. The car was dented. There was blood on the bumper, remember?
Ian: We had to ventilate him after the second seizure during transport.
Patrick: We need to stabilize him. I don't want to prep him for surgery until I know his body can handle the stress.
Ian: Agreed. Let's monitor him closely in case he starts to go south on us. Nurse Thompson?
Alexis: Oh, Patrick -- good, I'm glad you're here. He had just come back and he was helping the police find the text message killer.
Patrick: Well, he shouldn't have been chasing after the guy.
Nadine: That "guy" killed his fiancée. Nikolas was determined to catch him and he did. Otherwise, he'd still be out there.
Patrick: He should've left it to the cops. Alexis, come on, you can't be in here.
Alexis: All right.
Patrick: Epiphany, what's up with the O.R. room?
Epiphany: O.R. Two is prepped and ready to go, the rest of the team is assembling as we speak, and we're tying up the loose ends right now. We should be ready in a minute.
Patrick: All right. Thank you.
Epiphany: Nurse Crowell? I need you.
Ian: You collapsed. You're in the hospital. You didn't start on the drug regimen I prescribed, did you? It would've prevented things from getting this bad. Why didn't you take it?
Nikolas: Because someone means more to me than my own life. I don't expect you to understand that.
Ian: Maybe I do.
Robin: I've been on Nikolas' team since the beginning, I am more familiar with his history than anyone else. You need me in there, so I'm going to scrub in.
Patrick: No, you're not.
Ric: Please give me an excuse.
Marianna: I was handling this.
Ric: No, it's all right; it's all right, okay? You don't have to put up with him anymore. Randy -- right, it's Randy? You're going to listen to what I have to say, and then you're going to leave. You can't control Marianna anymore, all right? You can no longer get her to do what you want her to do and hold her deportation over her head. Yeah, no, that's right. See, "city boy" has connections with the state capital, and I got that whole mess cleared up that you made. Her papers are all in order, she's staying, and she's legal.
Randy: So now you can hold it over her head.
Ric: Okay, that's it. Now you can go.
Randy: The offer still holds. You know what they say -- "better the devil you know."
Ric: Okay, we don't have to worry about him anymore or listen to any more of his garbage. What?
Marianna: No.
Ric: No, what's -- what's wrong?
Marianna: He's right -- about you.
Scott: Look, I don't care what Dr. Drake said. You got no business in here.
Lulu: Don't you ever speak about my mother that way again. You and I both know that you killed Rick Webber and let my mom take the blame, and the only reason that I haven't told my father is so that he won't go to prison for killing you. And you have no right to judge me about what happened with Logan, because when you found out that the killer had a rib injury, you wondered the same thing I did. You wondered if -- if it could've been the son that you never really knew, the son that you dumped like garbage when he was born.
Scott: That's still no excuse here.
Lulu: Don't make me out to be the villain just so that you can play protective father so you feel better about yourself. Logan loves me, he still does, and -- and what we feel about each other is none of your business. So if you care anything about your son, you're going to listen to what the doctor said and let me stay here and talk to him and try and bring him back!
Johnny: You're scared that you're wrong -- that we don't have Michael and you've made a mistake. You've gone this far, you've taken this stand, and now you're wondering how you can back off without waging a war for all the wrong reasons.
Sonny: Shut him up, get him up there.
Johnny: And still, you are no closer to having your son back.
Sonny: You know what? I can -- I can send pieces of you to Trevor just to let him know that I mean business, but I don't think it would have the desired effect. But I know one thing -- these pretty tunes won't sound the same with a bunch of missing notes. You know what? I'm not going to -- I'm going to let you have your fingers for now because I'm feeling charitable. You're going to be making a phone call anyway to Trevor to convince him to give me my son back.
Peg: Running from what you've done is never going to change it, it's never going to make it better, and it could make it a whole lot worse.
Jason: We didn't know Sam had been hit the night you had your accident.
Elizabeth: But now we do.
Jason: But the storm washed any traces of blood. It's gone -- something that I could've checked to be sure. But, Elizabeth, we need to be sure before --
Elizabeth: I know what it's going to mean if I come forward. It's going to come out where I was going, and that we've been seeing each other in secret, and that you're Jake's father. That's the worst part -- not that Sam wants to see me in jail -- I don't care what happens to me. I'm worried about what's going to happen to our little boy after everything we've done to protect him.
Jason: I mean, you're talking as if you're sure you're guilty.
Elizabeth: We already have proof that it wasn't Nikolas and that it wasn't Carly.
Jason: There's one person I haven't cleared yet, one person who could've hit Sam that night. It's Monica.
Elizabeth: Oh, Jason --
Jason: Her car struck something on the right fender before it was smashed into a -- into a bench in the park. It was abandoned, the cops found traces of alcohol. She said the car was stolen. Just please -- just give me a chance to find out, that's all I'm asking.
Elizabeth: I can't do this much longer.
Jason: I --
Spinelli: Greetings, maternal one.
Elizabeth: Hi, Spinelli.
Spinelli: It appears the generous healer is still much troubled by the ordeal.
Jason: Did you get what I asked for?
Spinelli: Oh, yes. Um -- sorry, the delay was unavoidable. I mean, Jackal, P.I., was still recovering from heroic deeds that brought the text message killer to justice and --
Jason: You mean you were sleeping off the chloroform you accidentally inhaled, right?
Spinelli: An unfortunate and minor detail that was completely distorted in the media account, okay? I -- I fell down once. The other time I just sank to a knee. Anyway -- okay, photos of the pernicious peddlers that sell contraband to youth like video game play. Oh, oh, oh, and the overbearing orderly came to me about the effects of the son of formidable Nurse Johnson --
Jason: Okay, can we just focus? We need to save Michael. You know what? Just -- just give this back to Mike, all right? Give it to him. He saw Michael trying to buy bullets; maybe he can recognize one of these punks.
Spinelli: It's most distressing to even imagine a kid with a --
Jason: The residue in Michael's backpack was definitely gun oil, so I have to assume the worst.
Robin: This is a patient we're talking about here. You don't get to jeopardize his chances for success just because you're angry with me because I didn't tell you that you're the father of my child.
Patrick: Robin, that's not why I don't want you to scrub in.
Robin: Well, then don't hand me some lame excuse about protocol or scheduling or --
Patrick: That's not why, okay? I was worried about the baby. We're using a portable C.T. scanner to image the tumor during the operation. There's been literature recently about the pediatric C.T. and the cumulative radiologic --
Robin: Yeah, I know, I know, I read it. I'll be fine -- I mean, we'll be fine. I'll wear protective shielding.
Patrick: Okay. Well, then there's no doubt that I think Nikolas will benefit to you being part of the team.
Robin: Thanks for the warning.
Leyla: Looks like Robin's not interested in you stepping into the role of surrogate father.
Patrick: Well, she shouldn't be worried. I'm not father material, she wants to do this on her own, and that's fine by me. I have to scrub in.
Leyla: Wait.
Peg: Fathers say things they don't mean sometimes, or they don't mean them the way that they say them.
Michael: My dad's different than other dads.
Peg: Yeah, kick you out on the street because you done something?
Michael: No, but I've never done anything like this.
Peg: Yes, and has he ever had to deal with something like this?
Michael: I told you, I shot his girlfriend.
Peg: That was an accident. And as bad as that seems, the way I'm hearing it, he -- he's never done anything to you to make you think that he would give you physical harm, has he?
Sonny: Make Trevor reason. Convince him that giving me my son back is in your best interest.
Johnny: And if I can't?
Sonny: 24 hours. If my son isn't back with me, if I'm not holding my son in 24 hours, that's how long you got left on this planet! 24 hours starting from now.
Max: Boss, what if he is telling the truth? What if he really doesn't know, what if they don't have Michael?
Sonny: They have him. Hey, I don't want you to do this to me right now, okay? Don't be Jason -- don't question me.
Max: Boss, I'm not questioning you, just hear me out, all right? If you do this, they have no reason to keep Michael alive.
Sonny: Well, they have no reason to keep him alive now, so this is how it plays out.
Andy: Anesthesia will take effect very soon, Mr. Cassadine. This will be over before you know it.
Nikolas: I -- I have to see her. I have to say goodbye to her first, please?
Nadine: She's not going to leave without saying goodbye.
Patrick: We have to be ready for rapid disconnect on all table apparatus, including anesthesia, just in case we have to take him to imaging.
Robin: Has the team had enough presurgical prep for this?
[Go to www.tvmegasite.net/day/gh/transcripts.shtml for more GH transcripts]
Patrick: I'd like to do it 20 times, but we can't wait. We have to go with what we have and the homework we've done. How long till he's under, Andy?
Andy: It's going to be a couple of minutes, he's fighting it.
Patrick: Once we've excised part of the parietal bone, I need my retractors set and cushioned with premoistened swabs. It's important we keep the meninges from drying out during surgery. Stay on top of things with damp gauze and light irrigation. The tumor itself is resting against several arteries, so we'll use the cusa to suction it out layer by layer. Are we ready yet?
Andy: He's almost there.
Nikolas: No --
Nikolas: No -
Marianna: I was handling Randy.
Ric: Oh, yeah, I saw that, I just didn't want you to have to.
Marianna: I don't need you to protect me; I don't need you to fight my battles.
Ric: Really? After your last run-in with him, you needed medical attention. Remember that -- I took you for it?
Marianna: And I am so grateful. I am so grateful for everything.
Ric: I -- I don't want that, okay? I'm happy to do it.
Marianna: Well, Mr. Corbin just hired me.
Ric: "Mr. Corbin just hired you"? I was just out -- I just went to get my wallet. You -- boy.
Marianna: Yeah, I work that fast.
Ric: I guess.
Marianna: So I got a new job, and I'm going to start paying you back.
Ric: Okay, I -- I don't want your money.
Marianna: Everybody wants something, everyone does things for a reason.
Ric: You're not comparing me to the guy who treated you like an indentured servant, a guy who abused you?
Marianna: It's just a different kind of control.
Ric: I'm not trying to control you.
Marianna: I'm -- you don't have to try. You know, it's just effortless for you, babe.
Ric: Oh.
Marianna: Seriously, it's -- I mean, you take it for granted. It's just there, unspoken, you know, when someone else has the control. You may not have to work, but I do.
Mike: Oh, hey, I'll -- I'll get that. You know, I -- uh -- I might've warned you about Ric, but I can see you can handle yourself just fine.
Marianna: Warned me why? I -- I met him at Martha's Vineyard. He was there putting some things behind him, and -- um --
Mike: Well, look, you know, that's -- that's really a good thing for anyone -- if you can really do it.
Trevor: Your source is not reliable -- Johnny's not around here.
Lulu: I'm sorry that I hurt you. And I know I did -- a lot of times. You told me how you felt about me, and I told myself that I was being honest with you, but I wasn't. It wasn't fair -- the way that I defended Johnny and took care of him, got so close to him. You talked about the girl that you dreamed of when you were in Iraq, one who would take your life in a whole other direction, wipe away all the bad stuff that happened before, the girl with the amber eyes.
Lulu: And it scared me -- the idea of being that girl, of meaning that much to someone, really. And I know what it's like to love someone so much that your heart throws your brain out the window. That's what happened to me and Dillon, and we all know how that turned out. I wasn't honest with you, Logan, I know that. But I want to be. So I -- I need you to wake up so that we can make this right.
Singer: Gently close my eyes
Singer: Your lips touch my lips oh, I felt so alive my first, my last my always, my
Lulu: Hello?
Johnny: It's me.
Singer: Sweetest kiss
Elizabeth: We both know I hit something.
Sam: Is there something you're not telling me?
Sonny: Anything on Michael?
Jason: I don't know that the Zaccharas took him.
Nadine: We're losing him.
Emily: You have to choose.
Patrick: Clear.

Elizabeth: I wish we could just sneak away and go to our place and be together.
Jason: I -- I can't hold you.
Elizabeth: Would it be so bad to let someone hold you for a change?
Jason: As long as it's you. Orderly: I need to change sheets. I'll be back in a few.
Elizabeth: I'm not even assigned to this floor. I should go.
Jason: Elizabeth? I -- I need you to call sonny for me.
Trevor: Sonny, you can't leverage me. You gono firepower.
Sonny: At this point, trevor, go ahead, blast away. Just prove what a fool you really are.
Trevor: Don't overestimate johnny's importance to me.
Sonny: I know where he is, you don'T. If I bite it, so will he. And I know you don't care if johnny lives or dies, but I know somebody in this house who does.
Claudia: What have you done with my brother?
Lulu: Hi. I brought some things over. I'm going to try something new. Let's get busy.
Patrick: We need new gloves and gowns. We need some sterile dras.
Nikolas: No, please --
Patrick: Let's do this.
Robin: Nikolas, you're ok --
Patrick: Andy --
Andy: Yeah.
Robin: Listen, just stop fighting --
Nikolas: No, emily!
Andy: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!
Nikolas: I won't let you do this to me!
[Robin screams]
Patrick: Oh! Robin!
Andy: Relax!
Nikolas: Get off of me! Get away from me!
Andy: Hold it, mr. Cassadine.
Patrick: You got this?
Andy: Yeah, yeah, get her out of here! We'll handle it!
[Nikolas screams]
Andy: Help me keep him down. We need to get him sedated. Nadine, five milligrams of --
Nikolas: No!
Regina: No, you'll tear out your lines! Don't! Oh!
Andy: Oh! Take it easy!
Nikolas: Release me!
Ian: Well, I think you got enough exercise for one day. Let's get you back in a room.
Sam: You've got that look in your eye.
Ian: What look?
Sam: I'm not sure at it is. It's that confusing look that I see every so often where I don't really know who I'm dealing with. Are you the kind and caring dr. Jekyll, or the scary, evil mr. Hyde?
Ian: Why do I suspect you prefer the latter?
[Ian chuckles]
Lucky: Hey, big guy. What does he got?
Alexis: You don't like that guy, do you?
Lucky: Who?
Alexis: Sam's doctor.
Lucky: He's just a little too attentive.
Alexis: Well, you know, maybe sam needs that right now. You certainly wouldn't -- wouldn't want to begrudge her that opportunity, would you?
Lucky: What are you saying, I'jealous?
Alexis: No, I didn't say that. I mean, just interesting that you mention that right now. Huh?
Patrick: Can you page dr. Lee, stat?
Lucky: What happened?
Patrick: Your brother lost control and kicked robin in the stomach.
Robin: It's ok.
Patrick: No, it's not ok. All right? You could've been hurt.
Robin: I'm fine.
Patrick: Yeah, and what about my baby?
Lucky: Listen, I'm going to go to the O.R., Ok?
Alexis: No, I'm going to -- you stay here, I'm going to do it. I can handle him when he gets like this.
Nikolas: You just want to take emily away from me.
Andy: Get security in here now. Here, give it to me, I'll do it.
Nikolas: Just let me go, please.
Nadine: It's ok, nikolas.
Nikolas: No, it's not. It's not ok. You know it's not ok, nadine.
Andy: Be careful. You don't know what he'll do.
Nadine: Yes, I do. Nikolas risked his life to save me. He wouldn't hurt me. You'd never hurt me, right? Ok, it's ok. He's ready to go. Ok, ok. It's ok. Come on. Come on.
Lulu: This is from those boxes of car stuff that you were collecting. Remember when people used to work on their own engines? Now it's all computers. My dad taught me to hotwire a car, so -- if you ever lose your keys, you know who to call. I mean, you probably know how to do that yourself. A guy like you, been everywhere, done everything. Still, I bet I'm faster than you. Once, I hotwired my dad's old caddy in under 10 seconds. So, you know, when you get better, we'll have to have a contest. That's why you have to wake up. So you can prove me wrong.
Scott: I don't want you doing this.
Sonny: Your ambulance chaser here doesn't really care for your little brother too much. Must have made for some nice family dinners.
Claudia: Where is johnny?
Sonny: Well, I can remember a lot better if I didn't have a gun pointed to my head.
Claudia: Lower your weapons. Now. Lower your weapon! You do not want to hurt my little brother.
Sonny: I do not want to hurt your little brother. That's why when I get my son back, we can negotiate. I'll give you johnny back. That's the way it works, see?
Trevor: You're bluffing.
Sonny: I'm not bluffing! If I were a bad person, I could send johnny to you piece by piece in the mail! Would you like that?
Trevor: Yeah. And you would die standing right there.
Sonny: I don't hear you denying you have my son.
Trevor: Sonny, you guys picked me up and roughed me up. I denied it then, and I'm going to deny it now. You just don't want to listen, because I negotiated that railroad property right under your nose. It pisses you off. You're angry. You see, you want to go to war because you look bad.
Claudia: All right, you know what? This is enough. Enough! Both of you, zip up your pants. The contest is over. Get out, all of you. Out.
Trevor: These are my men.
Claudia: Yeah, this is my family home. And this is my family business. Shut your mouth and follow them out.
Trevor: Don't you ever talk to me like that.
Claudia: Ugh. I do what I want, when I want. Do you hear me?
Trevor: Huh.
Claudia: Now, shut your mouth and follow them out.
Sonny: You're going to have to be very careful with trevor, because he don't care if johnny dies.
Claudia: That's why this is going to get settled between you and me.
Nadine: I only helped you because I figured you needed some more time to figure out what you wanted to do.
Nikolas: I know what I want to do.
Nadine: Yeah, that's what worries me. Look, I have so much to say, to thank you for. You risked your life coming to find me in that elevator shaft. And I know why you did it. You know, you couldn't save emily, so --
Nikolas: No, that's not true. You know, it's not always about emily. I wanted to help you.
Nadine: Well, you put your mind and body at risk over and over again. And now you're insisting on getting up after being resuscitated only a few hours ago. You can't risk leaving and collapsing again. You do realize you almost died in that O.R. Today?
Nikolas: Yeah, that's what I wanted. Emily did come to say goodbye to me. But I didn't want her to leave, so I -- so I followed her. And then -- and then she just left.
Nadine: She left because she wanted you to live.
Nikolas: In the end, maybe that's what I wanted, too.
Nadine: What changed your mind?
Spencer: Daddy!
Nikolas: Oh.
Mike: Spinelli --
Spinelli: Yeah?
Mike: There were three names of interest on that list you gave me.
Spinelli: Yeah. Is it -- is it possible that one or more of them might be the pernicious peddlers that you saw with the little dude?
Mike: Yeah, we got J. Tomkins, J. Trujillo, and J. Toomey. Now, one of the guys that sold bullets to michael was called "J.T." I'm going to check these guys out.
Spinelli: Ok. May justice soar with you. Ke: Justice?
[Mike chuckles]
Mike: No, I'm taking max with me.
Maxie: Hi. Oh.
Spinelli: Oh, no, you are not authorized.
Maxie: What?
Spinelli: Those are stanford johnson's personal objects.
Maxie: Hello? I know. I was here earlier when you opened the box. There's clues inside connecting stan to --
Spinelli: Ok, look, jackal, P.I.'S, been commandeered into another case of the utmost urgency.
Spinelli: And secrecy, ok? It is a most confounding missing-persons case, ok? And right now, the jackal is perusing surveillance video to see in which direction the missing person was headed!
Spinelli: Huh? No! Jee--
Maxie: Oh, it's the taylor building.
Spinelli: How did -- how did you arrive at those precise coordinates?
Maxie: Well, see that billboard right there? That's the wyndham, like, really terrible christmas billboard with the reindeer with the tacky jewelry hanging on. It's red, too, so they think it'll pass for valentine's day. Kind of cheap.
Spinelli: Ok. So that's -- south. Ok, great. Um -- and -- and -- and this?
Maxie: Two stoplights down headed east. I know, it's the only light in town long enough for me to put mascara on both my eyes.
Spinelli: East, ok, great. The little dude is going southeast.
Maxie: "Little dude"? Michael corinthos?
Spinelli: Shh, shh, shh, shh. Secret, remember?
Maxie: Oh. So I guess this means I can help you on your case, then.
Claudia: Look, people like you and me -- we don't fall in love, right?
Sonny: I'm nothing like you. Don't -- don't --
Claudia: Ok, ok. We possess, because we bore easily. So we consume and we exhaust, and then we move on. Now, we don't have the patience. And we don't have the manners for love. So we settle for sex.
Sonny: Are you going to take your clothes off?
Claudia: Family is the only thing that we have in common. Because family is the one place where what we do counts as love. Because -- so, we hold on to that for dear life, because that's all we have. I know how you feel about michael, because that's how I feel about my johnny. I would never do anything to take your son from you.
Sonny: Maybe not, but you're not trevor --
Claudia: Yeah, but trevor is a scavenger. He's an opportunist, sonny. He will absolutely take advantage of whatever happened to michael, and kate howard. But instigating it? That requires risk, and that's not trevor's style. He hates you, yes, but, sonny, he's not stupid. He's not stupid. He's just waiting for you to play right into his hands.
Sonny: I don't know if I can trust you or trevor from one second to the next. So I'm keeping johnny, until you give me something to trade for, something I want.
Claudia: She can't keep up. Kate howard? She'll slip and fall. And she'll get crushed under your wheels. Just saying --
Monica: Hello.
Kate: Hi. Um -- I actually asked for dr. Julian.
Monica: Yes, I know, I know, but he is not available, so dr. Ford asked me to look at you. Is that ok?
Kate: Yeah. No, that's fine.
Monica: So what seems to be the problem?
Kate: There's something wrong.
Scott: These are all car parts. What's he going to do with these things?
Lulu: Maybe you can ask him when he wakes up. You have to think that way, because if you don't believe that he wakes up, he'll hear it, and he'll feel it, and he'll know it.
Scott: Well, my thinking is a little screwed up right now, lulu. Obviously, he was into cars and stuff, huh?
Lulu: Yeah, he learned to strip engines when he was in iraq. He said it kept his hands busy and his head down.
Scott: You know, lulu, i don't know anything about logan. He had a whole life before I met him. Had a whole life here that I just dismissed. I'd like to be able to help him, and that's what I meant when I said to u I don't want you to do this. I thought maybe I could talk him out of this coma, but I don't know anything about him. Neither one of us took the time to find out. So you know what? You do the honors. You put him here. Bring him back.
Johnny: Guess it'd be too much to ask for another pen?
Milo: Got orders from mr. C. Let's just say you won't be needing a pen anymore. All right, let's go. Soy: Got your message. If this is about coming down on you yesterday, I was --
Jason: It's fine, sonny. It's about michael.
Sonny: You got a lead?
Jason: I have theories.
Sonny: You got theories? So you're going to give me reasons why the zaccharas didn't take him?
Jason: I think I know who shot kate.
Sonny: Who?
Jason: What -- what if it was michael?
Spinelli: Ok, so going south and east would logically lead little dude to this pier into a one of these three boats, ristened big sue two through four. One can only imagine what sue did to be thrice memorable.
Maxie: I don't think that really matters. We're making progress.
Spinelli: Yes, this is true. The overworked, underpaid docks man did recognize little dude's pictures.
Maxie: Only because I charmed him into telling us.
Spinelli: Ooh, jackal, P.I., Senses that maybe there's a need for credit where credit perhaps isn't due.
Maxie: Oh. Ok. Well, then I don't need to tell you how I know this is the boat that michael was on.
Patrick: Hey, what -- what are you doing?
Robin: I came to see about nikolas.
Patrick: Robin, you were just kicked in the stomach. I don't give a damn about anything else.
Robin: I had the wind knocked out of me.
Patrick: And the doctor who diagnoses herself is a fool.
Robin: Has a fool for a patient, I know. The patient you should be concerned with here is nikolas.
Patrick: Yeah, well, nikolas is awol. Vanished without a trace, and I can't keep chasing him around the city. It's all I can do for him as a doctor. Well, why are you not still with kelly?
Robin: Because kelly agreed with dr. Ford that I'm ok.
Patrick: What about the baby?
Robin: I said I'm ok!
Patrick: Yes, of course you're ok, because you're back to being hostile and impatient. You know, when I carried you out of there, you actually leaned on me, and that's when I knew that there was something seriously wrong. But suddenly everything's back to normal.
Robin: Suddenly you decide to turn around and tell everyone that we're having a baby. You have no right to do that.
Patrick: I have every right.
Ian: Is there a reason I've been paged to meet you down in the bowels of the hospital?
Nikolas: I think you're the only one who can help me now. Crash diets are evil.
Ian: I've tried to help you before. So has half this hospital and you've done your best to throw it back in all of our faces.
Nikolas: Yeah, that's because you don't understand. Nobody understands except for --
Ian: Nurse crowell, yeah.
Nikolas: She knows what I see.
Ian: Hallucinations.
Nikolas: No, it's more than that.
Ian: You don't see things, do you?
Nikolas: Things? No.
Ian: No, you see someone -- someone you loved, someone you lost. And if this tumor is removed, your heightened sense of vision will disappear. You're not ready to say goodbye.
Ian: No one's ever ready.
Nikolas: I went after her as she was leaving and I followed her.
Ian: From what I hear, you damn near succeeded, so why bother coming back? It seems like your choice is pretty clear.
Nikolas: I have a son.
Ian: You're not ready to say goodbye to him, either.
Ian: So what are we doing here, mr. Cassadine?
Nikolas: There was an experimental medication that you spoke of.
Ian: Yeah, that was supposed to reduce the size of the tumor, to make surgery less risky, but that's not what you're looking for, is it?
Ian: No, you want both your lady and your little boy. Well, I'm sorry -- that drug isn't going to give you what you're looking for.
Nikolas: Well, I'm betting that you haanother idea all along, something that would give me what I want. And you do, don't you?
Ian: Nothing that dr. Drake and dr. Scorpio would approve of.
Nikolas: Well, they're not dying -- I am.
Patrick: I'm not going to let you pretend that I'm not the father of your baby.
Robin: Until what? Until I feel guilty and let you in?
Patrick: Until you let me support you.
Robin: And how long are you going to do that for, huh? How long until you start to get bored or feel tied down?
Patrick: Robin, I don't know. Look, I -- I don't know if I'll ever feel that way and you don't, either.
Robin: Yeah, that's just it -- you don't know. I know what I want. Have been committed to this child from the very beginning. I want it.
Patrick: You wanted one with me once, even when I said I wasn't sure.
Robin: Ok, you have made your case, I have listened to you, but I am far more certain of what you'll do than you are.
Patrick: Of course you are, because you've already mapped it out in your head. There's no room for change. I'm never going to change. You're so determined to be right, so determined to do this on your own, to push me aside. You're going to raise this baby alone in spite, and our baby is going to pay the price.
Robin: Unlike the price of having you as a father? See, right now, you're just -- you're angry with me because I didn't tell you. I've wounded your pride.
Patrick: Hey -- what?
Robin: So you don't shoot blanks -- I mean, good for you you have sperm. So do a thousand other guys in the donor bank -- it doesn't make them any more father material than it does you. You said that you didn't want a family, so you cannot stand here and tell me now that you do.
Patrick: Why are you -- why are you saying this? You want to hurt me so badly that I'll just give up?
Robin: I -- I don't know why. No, I'm doing this because I love you.
Patrick: And I love -- and I love you.
Robin: And if we go down that road, we are going to hate each other and I will not subject my child to that.
Patrick: Robin --
