Wednesday, Part 2: Maxie: This is the trademark tag for free reign denim, worn by teens, tweens, and juniors from upper-middle-class families, and I noticed when you enhanced that picture of michael so you could see the background, that he was wearing these pants. I saw the stitching on the back. So, deduction -- michael was on this boat and he probably went to hide under that tarp next to the cargo and when he went to get off, this ripped off his pant pocket.
Spinelli: Jackal, P.I., Is oddly impressed despite himself -- an elementary deduction by fashion statement.
Maxie: I guess I navigate by makeup. Huh.
Spinelli: Your mood, although rarely as constant as the north star, has curiously dipped.
Maxie: I think it's because I just realized how shallow my life is -- hmm -- or I am. I lost my sister, and I lost coop.
Spinelli: Look, you've just temporarily lost direction, that's all.
Maxie: As if I had any. The only direction I used to have was just to head for the closest pair of broad shoulders in my field of vision. Coop and I had something that I didn't realize.
Spinelli: As I never realized what I had with wise georgie. As oddly comforting as this may or may not sound, we do have each other. You know, I should -- I should really -- I should really take that info to stone cold but, you know, you're welcome to -- to join me on the next leg of the case if you'd like.
Maxie: Thank you, but I think I have some stuff I need to figure out with my life, and to be honest, I'm not sure getting trapped in a sewer and wading through seagull crap is going to take me where I want to go. But good luck. I know you're going to find him.
Sonny: What have they got you on in here? How would michael shoot kate?
Jason: We know michael was sniffing around a gun. We know he tried to buy bullets. Who says he didn't get his hands on a gun?
Sonny: Who says he did?
Jason: I -- because I found gun oil in his backpack. There's only one way that could've gotten there.
Sonny: Says your theory.
Jason: Says as much circumstantial evidence as you have that trevor did this.
Sonny: Ok, don't bring trevor into this, unless you're defending trevor, because --
Jason: I'm trying to avoid a war, I'm trying to do my job, which is not very easy in this condition. Do you want to hear about this or you -- or not?
Sonny: Talk.
Jason: Ok. Whew. What if michael had a gun?
Sonny: He wouldn't know how to use it.
Jason: Ok, so what? He'd go -- he'd find some abandoned property like alcazar's waterfront and he -- he would start practicing. And he accidentally shot kate.
Sonny: And he would just leave her there?
Jason: Yeah, he'd -- he'd leave her there. He's scared hell, this kid.
Sonny: He'd call for help.
Jason: Sonny, you don't -- you don't know that. We both had talks with him.
Sonny: That's why I know he wouldn't gnear a gun.
Jason: Ok, and what did yotell him?
Sonny: What did I tell him?
Jason: Yeah.
Sonny: Doesn't matter, because this is going nowhere.
Jason: No, no -- what did you say to him exactly? What'd you say?
Sonny: I told him -- that if he -- if I caught him anywhere near a gun, that he should run and keep running.
Jason: Maybe that's what he did.
Sonny: I know my son.
Jason: Do you know him well enough that he would even go near a gun to begin with? I mean, he lost leticia, he lost emily, he knows how we feel about people who hurt our family or hurt people we care about. If he thought that he hurt kate or killed kate, somebody you cared that much about --
Sonny: Well, even -- even if this happened the way you're saying it happened, michael wouldn't just disappear.
Jason: How do you know that, man? He could be -- he could be in shock. He could be afraid of how you're going to react.
Sonny: My son's not afraid of me. I'm not deke. If he did this, he would come to me. You know what? Just -- you concentrate on getting better. I'm going to -- I'm going to handle this.
Jason: You better think long and hard before you do something that you can't take back.
Sonny: Uh-huh.
Kate: Ah. So?
Monica: So, we have done the exam and we've run some tests.
Kate: And?
[Monica sighs]
Monica: Well, the news could be better.
Mr. Vaughn: No, there's no movement yet, not that I know of. Johnny's still inside the old nut house with three of sonny's guys.
Trevor: Just monitor the situation, all right? Keep me informed. Right.
Claudia: You're up to something.
Trevor: Huh. What, do you got a hot date?
Claudia: You sound like my father now.
Trevor: Oh, in your dreams. Have you seen him lately?
Claudia: Matter of fact, I have. He's doing a lot better.
Trevor: You'd like that, wouldn't you?
Claudia: He's more lucid, trevor. Does that worry you?
Trevor: No, no, because pretty soon, he's going to play us off against each other.
Claudia: No, we're pretty much already there already, don't you think? Don't even think of sacrificing johnny.
Trevor: No, claudia, I don't have to do that. He's going to do it himself just like you -- you're reckless.
Claudia: Really? How's that?
Trevor: I'll tell you -- because you're common, you're cheap. Why don't you just take sonny corinthos right here on the study floor?
Claudia: Who says I haven't already? Jealous much?
Trevor: Yeah, I am.
Claudia: Hmm.
Trevor: But sonny is just not my type.
Claudia: Yeah, I'm not your type, either. You wouldn't know what to do with a real woman if she came up and bit you on the neck. You like them young and pliable like kate howard used to be.
Trevor: Hmm.
Claudia: And don't look so surprised -- I did my homework. Another reason you and sonny hate each other. I'm not daddy's little girl anymore, trevor, and I never will be again.
Trevor: Yeah, claudia. You're never going to be anybody's anything ever again. You're going to die alone.
Claudia: Hmm. Well, probably. But you're going to die first --
[Claudia chuckles]
Claudia: And at my hand if anything happens to my little brother from anything you've done.
Trevor: Hmm?
Sonny: Ok, I just got to do it quick because I got to get back to the hospital to see kate, all right?
Mike: You wanted to see her.
Sonny: What's this?
Mike: These are the maggots that sold the bullets to michael that night.
Sonny: Take them out and waste them.
Boy: No, mr. Corinthos --
Sonny: Get back over there. You tell me one good reason why I shouldn't waste filth like you. You are no use to anybody, you're no use to me.
Mike: Sonny?
Sonny: Tell -- what?
Mike: What about the information?
Boy: Hey, yeah, man. I mean, we know stuff -- right, bugs?
Sonny: Yeah? You know stuff?
Boy: Yeah.
Sonny: You know stuff? Tell me who sold a gun to my son.
Boy: Some --
Sonny: Do you know that?
Sonny: Yes or no?
Sonny: Do you know if my son bought a gun?
Boy: He did.
Sonny: From who?
Boy: I -- I don't know.
Sonny: When?
Boy: Couple of months ago.
Sonny: Ok, I tell you what -- you find out who it is, right? You got me?
Boy: Mm-hmm.
Sonny: And you come back to me, and you may not have to see me ever again, but if I ever hear that you're selling guns or ammunition to children, I will beat you down myself.
Boy: It'll never happen again, mr. Corinthos. We -- we swear. Bugs: Uh --
Sonny: Get them -- get them out of here.
Max: Let's go.
Spinelli: There is indeed a possibility that the little dude stowed away on the boat we saw on the surveillance video.
Jason: All right, tell me about the boat.
Spinelli: Well, I -- it's a -- it's a simple pply ship that navigates the great st. Lawrence between here and the canadian border and back. Um -- should I alert mr. Corinthos, sir?
Jason: No, I should go myself.
Spinelli: I don't think it's wise to risk further damage to your formidable digits.
Jason: Forget it. I just don't want to send somebody who's going to scare michael.
Spinelli: Well, then, it would seem you need someone clever and innocuous that wouldn't be perceived as a threat to someone so young.
Jason: I think I know somebody.
[Spinelli sighs]
Sam: Hey, um, do you know what happened to dr. Devlin? He left in the middle of a consultation -- lucky!
Lucky: Thank you.
Sam: Yeah. I will be in the exam room if you get dr. Devlin.
Alexis: Well, that was interesting.
Lucky: Yeah, things are still complicated between me and sam and elizabeth.
Alexis: Yeah, well, you know, from my experience, I've noticed that people make things a lot more complicated than they need to be, but wouldn't it be nice if they didn't do that anymore? Excuse me, I'll be right over here. Hi. How -- how's nikolas doing?
Nadine: I thought he was here with his son.
Alexis: I saw you go into the O.R. With him.
Nadine: Yeah. Nikolas is a good person in a lot of pain.
Alexis: He also needs to start focusing on his son, spencer. It's time for him to let go of the past and start getting on with it.
Nadine: He's going to have to say goodbye to emily in his own way, on his own time -- not ours. If we try to force it, he might do something desperate.
Nikolas: Yep.
Ian: Hey, you realize you're getting worse, right?
Nikolas: Well, I'm dying -- how much worse can it actually get?
Ian: Oh, you have a terminal condition that can be reversed with a surgical procedure. They're not exactly the same thing.
Nikolas: Don't lecture me.
Ian: No. I'm sorry. You're not looking for a lecture -- you're looking for these. These drugs will be more to your liking than the last ones I recommended. They will prolong your condition but not improve it.
Nikolas: Ok. Will it give me more time --
Ian: Yeah, with tangible memories with your ex-fiancee, emily -- yeah. But you should know that these haven't been approved for testing and they are illegal in this country.
Nikolas: I know, I know. So?
Ian: So, well, you take it twice a day and I'll monitor you privately and if you are caught with it on you, I will deny it came from me.
Nikolas: Ok, I understand.
Ian: Now -- huh. What I'm about to say is a flagrant slap in the face to the hippocratic oath, but if I give this to you, what's in it for me? Being careful... it's very important to me
[Music plays]
Singer: This town is colder now I think it's sick of us it's time to make our move I'm shaking off the rust I've got my heart set on anywhere but here I'm staring down myself counting up the years steady hands just take the wheel and every glance is killing me time to make one last appeal for the life I lead stop and stare I think I'm moving but I go nowhere yeah, I know that everyone gets scared but I've become what I can't be oh, stop and stare you start to wonder why you're here, not there and you'd give anything to get what's fair but fair ain't what you really need oh, can you see what I see? They're trying to come back all my senses push untie the weight bags I never thought I could steady feet, don't fail me now gonna run till you can't walk something pulls my focus out
Elizabeth: Jake says good night.
Singer: I'm standing down
Elizabeth: He wishes you could hold him, too.
Singer: I think I'm moving but I go nowhere
Elizabeth: And all day I've been wishing there was just some way we could be together.
Singer: Everyone gets scared but I've become what I can't be oh stop and stare you start to wonder why you're here, not there and you'd give anything to get what's fair
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Jason: Don't tell elizabeth what you know.
Sonny: What's going on?
Kate: You slept with someone after our fight, didn't you?
Michael: Hi, mom.
Carly: Where are you?

Jax: Hey.
Carly: Hey.
Jax: You ok?
Carly: I'm not going to be ok until Michael's home. Where is he, Jax? Why hasn't he called again? God, what if he's --
Jax: Hey. You know, I talked to my investigators again.
Carly: No word?
Jax: No.
Carly: No.
Jax: You know, maybe it's time we brought the police in on this.
Peg: Where do you think you're heading?
Ric: After you.
Alexis: Thank you.
Ric: Mm-hmm.
[Phone rings]
Maxie: Spinelli, hey. Did you find Michael?
Spinelli: Um -- Jackal, P.I., has encountered resistance of a most unusual nature.
Maxie: What happened? Where are you?
Spinelli: Um -- the waterfront, earnestly in need of the helpful blond one's fashion expertise. Please.
Ric: So, how are things in the D.A.'s office?
Alexis: All right, if this is about the Addison case that I picked up on where you left off, that I actually strengthened for you, then --
Ric: No. Hey, hey -- no, no need to explain. I'm sure you are handling it perfectly.
Alexis: Just like that?
Ric: Just like that.
Alexis: You're not going to argue, or spar with me, or pick apart the minutiae of the case?
Ric: Do I look like a man who's wallowing in minutiae?
Alexis: No, actually, you don't.
Ric: Thank you.
Alexis: And since you've paid me a compliment, I'll choke one right back at you. You look -- good.
Ric: Oh.
Alexis: You do. You look well rested. You look -- oh, my god -- content.
Ric: Well, thank you very much, which is why I hope that you've enjoyed resuming your duties as the district attorney.
Alexis: Is this your really weird way of saying that you want your job back?
Ric: Actually, I'm hoping that you'll want to resume those duties permanently.
Trevor: My son, Richie, is being a real fool. He wants to keep those Alcazar properties all to himself and his little immigrant chippie. She's not being any help at all in getting me those deeds.
Mr. Vaughn: So, how do we convince your son to hand them over?
Trevor: Well, Richard and Marianna are in for a big surprise.
Claudia: Change of plans, Trevor. You're the one who's in for a surprise.
Sonny: Monica, I just talked to the nurse on duty. She said you were the last person to see Kate.
Monica: I may have been, why?
Sonny: Well, she left me a note, and -- was she ok?
Monica: Her medical records are confidential, Sonny.
Sonny: Do you think she was ok to be released?
Monica: She released herself.
Sonny: I'm just asking you, do you think she was ok to leave the hospital right now, is what I'm saying?
Monica: Well, if it put her in closer contact with you, then no, it was not good for her health, physical or mental.
Lucky: You know, that's a hell of a thing you did -- hanging on the car, keep it from going over the edge. Mess up your hands on some jagged glass pretty good. But you'd pretty much do anything for the mother of your little boy.
Jason: You're not here to ask me about my health.
Lucky: No. Sam's hit-and-run.
Jason: We already talked about that, Lucky.
Lucky: There something else that we haven't talked about. Someone -- Elizabeth.
Jason: There's nothing to talk about.
Lucky: How about the fact that Elizabeth had an accident the night she fell asleep at the wheel? The fact you've been covering, along with the dent in her fender and the blood and -- which conveniently washed away. I came to talk to you. I kind of overheard you and Elizabeth talking yesterday.
Jason: She wanted to come forward --
Lucky: And not since you convinced Elizabeth to keep quiet by the way you've handled this.
[Jason sighs]
Lucky: You cover up things for a living. But you've left a lot of loose ends, and I -- I'm going to start picking them up. And I know what I'm going to find.
Jason: Yeah, well, I'm still tracking other leads right now.
Lucky: Other leads?
Jason: Yeah. I've eliminated two people who were on that road that night who had an accident who didn't turn themselves in, either. There's someone else I need to follow up on.
Lucky: I know you convinced Elizabeth to buy into this whole thing.
Jason: Ok, I'm not trying -- I'm not trying to cover anything up, Lucky. I just don't want Elizabeth coming forward until I'm sure. I do not want her to suffer needlessly for this. You know what Sam would do.
Lucky: Yeah, well, if you would've come to Sam to begin with --
Jason: Oh, like that would've made a difference?
Lucky: You know what? Despite what you think, I am not looking to get back at Elizabeth. I don't want to see her hurt. But don't ask me to let this thing go.
Jason: Look, I'm not asking you to let anything go. All I'm -- I'm asking you to come to me, ok? Don't -- don't tell Elizabeth what you know -- that you're looking into this. She's upset enough as it is. Please, do not go to her, you come to me first.
Sonny: Elizabeth, can I see a -- a case chart?
Elizabeth: Sonny, you know I can't give you that.
Sonny: Ok, but somebody's got to give me some answers, because I'm -- you know, nobody wants --
Monica: Sonny, this is a hospital. This is not a back-alley mob joint.
Sonny: Monica, I'm not going to hurt Kate. I'm -- I'm trying to make sure she's ok. She has a collapsed lung. I think she got released too soon. Can you at least tell me if she told you where she was going?
Monica: No, she didn't tell me, and if she wanted you to know, she would've contacted you.
Tracy: That was pretty impressive. You're pretty brave.
Monica: Well, I'm not afraid of Sonny Corinthos. He's already taken three of my children, so what do I have to lose?
Tracy: The mind reels with possibilities.
Monica: Oh, come on, Tracy. Do not start a war with me.
Tracy: A war? I'm here to offer a compromise.
Ric: When I was in Martha's Vineyard with Marianna, I felt whole. I felt renewed. And I was hopeful that I could look towards a future without being encumbered by the past.
Alexis: Yeah, see, now I know something's up.
Ric: Ok, come on, cut me some slack, all right? I'm willing to give it a shot.
Alexis: You're not going to miss this job at all?
[Ric scoffs]
Ric: Miss what? Chest-puffing, boot-lick politics for city hall?
Alexis: So what are you going to do all day?
Ric: Oh, I don't know, I just -- maybe take up basket weaving or butterfly chasing. I have a perfectly good law degree.
Alexis: From Harvard.
Ric: Yeah, better than Yale.
Alexis: Yeah. So Mayor Floyd and the boys are going to think you're a big wimp.
Ric: Well, Mayor Floyd and the boys are your problem now, Alexis, not mine. I can't tell you what a relief it is to not have to worry about what anybody thinks.
Alexis: Not even your brother?
Ric: Making Sonny pay for his crimes wasn't about justice. It was about revenge.
Alexis: You've been driven by revenge your whole life, Ric.
Ric: Yeah, and it was poisoning me. And if I ever doubt the havoc that it could wreak, I don't need to look any further than what I did to you.
Claudia: Send your pet snake out so we can talk.
Trevor: Ooh. Claus's having one of her days. We'll talk security later.
Claudia: No, it's already taken care of.
Trevor: Meaning?
Claudia: Meaning Carlo lent me a few of his guys from New York.
Trevor: Carlo is completely untrustworthy.
Claudia: No, Carlo doesn't trust you. But Carlo was one of the very few people -- one of the only people who has remained loyal to daddy all these years.
Trevor: Why don't you run your own show, instead of walking in your father's footsteps?
Claudia: You know, that reminds me, I haven't told you my big surprise yet.
Trevor: What's that?
Claudia: I'm bringing daddy home from the hospital to recuperate here.
Trevor: Over my dead body.
Claudia: Whatever it takes.
Max: Boss, we may have a lead on Michael. Now, one of the dock workers heard about some kid who was stowed away on a supply boat.
Sonny: And?
Max: And that's all we got.
Sonny: That's all you got? That's not enough to go on.
Max: Mr. C, if that's true, that means that --
Sonny: Ok, listen, the guy could be lying, right? Telling you what he thinks you want to hear.
Max: But if he's not, it's good news. It means Michael's alive. It means the Zaccharas didn't grab him. Boss, it means --
Sonny: What it -- what it means is, Michael is still out there.
Max: So what do you want me to do?
Sonny: I want you to keep checking. Talk to the workers on boats that have docked here since, you know, Michael's disappearance, and see what you can come up with.
Max: And what do you want me to do with Johnny?
Sonny: Ugh -- um -- we keep him, you know, where he's at, because I'm not 100% sure that the Zaccharas aren't behind this.
Max: Boss, it -- it just doesn't seem like something that they would do.
Sonny: It's something that Trevor would do, Max. Johnny does not get released until I get Michael back. Got it?
Max: Got it.
Sonny: Got it. Good.
Max: Boss, I -- one more --
Sonny: Max, I got to -- what?
Max: You should just be quiet when you go in there.
Sonny: Why?
Max: You have company.
Sonny: What are you doing?
Kate: Where have you been?
Sonny: I've been worried about you. What's going on?
Sonny: Nice note, short and sweet.
Kate: I needed time to think.
Sonny: About what? I asked you, you know, to stay at my house while you're recuperating, and you said no. And, you know, I mean, I wasn't exactly happy, but whatever makes you comfortable.
Kate: It's not about that, Sonny.
Sonny: Then what's it about, then?
Kate: Um -- hmm. When the doctors removed the bullet and inflated my lung, I developed a little infection. It went into my heart. It's called pericarditis.
Sonny: The doctors giving you antibiotics?
Kate: Yeah, but it's not that simple. Um -- I -- I could just -- I'm --
Sonny: What?
Kate: Pericarditis damaged my heart and I could be on medication --
Sonny: Ok. Let's go back to the hospital. Come on.
Kate: No. No, Sonny.
Sonny: What do you mean, "no"?
Kate: You don't have to do --
Sonny: Yeah, listen to me, ok? You left too soon, first of all.
[Kate sighs]
Sonny: Ok? You can't take chances.
Kate: My condition is under control.
Sonny: Listen to me, ok? You stay -- I want you to stay with me, in my house, for a couple days. Let me keep an eye on you. You know, make sure you're ok.
Kate: Sonny, listen -- I could be on medication for the rest of my life, which may not be as long as I planned. There is a possibility that this could kill me.
Michael: I -- I can't stay here forever.
Peg: Do you have any plans?
Michael: I just don't want my dad to find me.
Peg: You told me he wouldn't harm you.
Michael: No. But he'll be so mad about the gun and shooting his girlfriend.
Peg: Just tell him it was an accident.
Michael: He won't care. I lied about having a gun. He told me that if he ever caught me with a gun, I should just turn around and run, and that's what I've been doing.
Peg: You can't take your daddy's word for gospel.
Michael: You don't know my dad.
Peg: One time when I was about your age, I stayed out all night, and I came home in the morning and my mom said that daddy was out looking for me and he was so mad, he didn't know what he was going to do, so I ran away.
Michael: Where'd you go?
Peg: Down three blocks to my friend, Pearl's. Stayed another night. In the morning I found out that my daddy had died from a heart attack in his sleep. He was 45 years old.
Michael: I'm sorry.
Peg: So was I. Look, I can't tell you where to go. You got to work that out for yourself.
Michael: You're not going to tell on me?
Peg: Nope. But if you can stand a piece of advice from the last person on the earth who's entitled to give any -- do what's right, not just what's right for you. Ok?
Michael: Yeah, ok.
Peg: Hmm.
Maxie: Spinelli? Spinelli?
Spinelli: Um -- yeah -- I'm over here.
Maxie: What are you doing?
Spinelli: Keeping a modicum of modesty.
Maxie: Oh, my god! You don't have any clothes on!
Spinelli: I know that. That's precisely why I asked you to procure me some new ones.
Maxie: Why don't you have any clothes on?
Spinelli: The -- an unfortunate set of circumstances befell The Jackal, P.I.
Maxie: I'm all ears.
Spinelli: There's no need to elaborate. It was just a simple miscalculation.
Maxie: Ok.
Spinelli: Um -- but all is well now, as we are happily tucked into a safe place of refuge.
Kate: So I was just sitting in the hospital, laying there feeling sorry for myself.
Sonny: You got shot, you almost died. I mean, you got to give yourself a break, right?
Kate: Oh, yeah, Sonny, but Kate Howard is the kind of woman who picks herself up and dusts herself off. She does and says what she wants.
Sonny: Is something else on your mind?
Kate: It's just that so much has happened.
Sonny: Yeah, and you came here instead of going home. What does that tell you?
Kate: I wanted to connect to you and feel some hope. I thought about going to the street corner in Bensonhurst, but -- um --
[Kate chuckles]
Sonny: Huh.
Kate: That's where things ended badly, and --
Sonny: Right.
Kate: This is where we met up again after all those years.
Sonny: And we're going to have a lot of years together, so --
Kate: We'll see.
Sonny: Kate, doctors are going to -- they're going to take care of you.
Kate: I am not talking about my heart. I'm talking about us, Sonny. We have a way of causing each other pain.
Sonny: Yes, but I -- I don't want to do that anymore.
Kate: Well, maybe you can't help it.
Carly: Sonny, I need to talk to you about Michael.
Sonny: Right -- right now?
Carly: Right now, yeah.
Kate: Uh -- yeah -- um -- it's ok. Sonny, I have errands to run --
Sonny: Ok, just give me one second, ok?
Carly: What the hell is wrong with you? Hanging out with Kate is more important than talking to me about Michael?
Trevor: Come on, Claudia, you can't bring your father home. He's a murderer.
Claudia: Oh, and what are you, huh? What, Trevor, your hands are clean? Don't insult my intelligence.
Trevor: Claudia, your father is in a home, a prison for the criminally insane. I'd like to see you try to waltz him out of there.
Claudia: It's funny, you actually still think you're in charge, don't you? You're here because I let you be. Do try to remember that, Trevors.
Trevor: My family needs me!
Claudia: It's my family, you crazy kook!
Trevor: Can you take the pressure?
Claudia: You try me.
Trevor: Oh, poor baby. We all remember what happened when things get too much for poor Claudia.
Lucky: Elizabeth -- hey, is your car in the parking lot?
Elizabeth: Why?
Lucky: Well, I thought I'd take the boys out for dinner. You know Cam -- he gets such a kick out of riding in the squad car. I thought maybe I should get their car seats.
Elizabeth: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I can do that for you.
Lucky: No, it's ok, I can do it myself.
Elizabeth: No, really, it's no problem.
Epiphany: Elizabeth, there's a patient in distress in 1023. They need you down there, stat.
Lucky: You know what? Why don't you go ahead? I think I have my spare key for the car.
Epiphany: Do you have lead in your shoes?
Elizabeth: Oh, catch you later.
Tracy: Monica, help me out, would you? I've forgotten -- how many times have you postponed your malpractice hearing?
Monica: Twice, and that was because of scheduling conflicts. What do you want?
Tracy: Justice. First thing, I want you to let me back in the house.
Monica: Well, I don't think so.
Tracy: Think again.
Patrick: We knew going in we were only able to regain about 90% of the feeling and function in your hand, that it was going to take time and multiple surgeries. One of the doctors that we had conferenced in -- he's been working with this microsurgical equipment stuff that we won't have for another year. He's the best, and he's got the best tools.
Jason: What's the downside?
Patrick: Well, with any surgery, there's risk. But there's a huge upside here. This is your best shot at regaining full function of your hands.
Jason: Where's -- where's this doctor located?
Patrick: He's in Seattle. There's a lot of people wanting to work with him. I want you to go as soon as he's available.
Elizabeth: You're going away?
Mar 13, 2008 11:26
Tracy: Look familiar?
Monica: No. No. Where did you pick it up -- some thrift shop?
Tracy: Actually, I got it out of the trash where you threw it after a certain unfortunate event.
Monica: Well, it's not mine.
Tracy: Really? Your size, your color. Your favorite perfume and -- oh, I believe it's a little bit of your favorite vodka which must've spilled out of your favorite flask when you were driving drunk and running into municipal park benches and Sam McCall.
Monica: That never happened.
Tracy: Really? Tell it to the judge -- better yet, tell it to the hospital board at your new hearing.
Monica: Give it to me.
Tracy: No! No, no, no, no, no, that is evidence in a crime, proof of your wanton disregard for human life.
Monica: Oh, excuse me, I happen to have saved your worthless husband's life.
Tracy: Excuse me -- you practically killed him.
Monica: And I have a group of expert cardiologists that will say that if I hadn't operated, he would have died.
Tracy: I have half the hospital that will -- excuse me, excuse me -- that will say that you were drunk when you picked up that scalpel.
Monica: You vindictive witch!
Tracy: Oh, you haven't seen anything yet.
Monica: You are never, ever, ever coming back to that house.
Tracy: That is my family home, Monica.
Monica: What? Your idea of family is nothing but backstabbing and bitching!
Tracy: You know what? That's the pot calling the kettle black.
Monica: Tracy -- Tracy! Excuse me.
Patrick: As Nurse Webber can attest, I have a bit of an ego when it comes to my reputation.
Elizabeth: Just a bit.
Patrick: I rarely give my patients up to other surgeons, but I have confidence in dr. Brown. This is your best possible outcome.
Elizabeth: That's great news.
Jason: How soon?
Patrick: I'll call him right now, tell him you're ready when he is. Ok.
Elizabeth: Well, that's good news. About yesterday with Sonny, I realize I came on a little strong --
Jason: No, Sonny, he -- he can take it.
Elizabeth: I know, but it's your life.
Jason: No, we don't have to talk about that. I mean, you're my life right now and Jake.
[Pager beeps]
Elizabeth: I have to take this.
Jason: No, but there's so much that I -- I want to say --
Elizabeth: Just wait. This won't take long. I'll be right back.
Claudia: Are you crazy? I could dump your body on the courthouse steps and no one would care, not even your own son.
Trevor: Never happen.
Claudia: You would be really wise to take me seriously.
Trevor: Claudia, I do take you seriously. And you would be wise to take me seriously. This family will die without my influence.
Claudia: Where's your influence in getting us that waterfront property that your son happens to own, Trevor? Why haven't you made an ally of this Moreau character?
Trevor: Come on, Claudia, give me a break, huh? Everything is happening --
Claudia: No, no, it's not! I'm sorry! You're a joke, Trevor -- a joke. And Sonny Corinthos makes you look more and more like one every single day.
Trevor: Come on. I'll make you a deal. You don't talk about my relationship with Sonny and I won't talk about yours.
Claudia: Sonny was just a boy when he took Ric's mother, Adela, away from you, huh? And then he turned around and did the same thing with Kate Howard.
Claudia: Talk about your winning streak.
Trevor: A -- for all the homework that you've done on me. F -- you haven't found anything that you can use on me yet. Are you frustrated?
Claudia: Not at all. I'm a resourceful woman.
Trevor: With many secrets -- which I know.
Claudia: You'd be wise to take them to your grave, Trevors. You'd stay alive a lot longer!
Carly: Jax and I want to go to the police.
Sonny: No, no, don't.
Carly: We don't have anything.
Sonny: I got a lead, I got a lead.
Carly: What kind of a lead?
Sonny: It's all I got right now. I'm just checking it out.
Carly: Well, when did you get this lead?
Sonny: A few hours ago.
Carly: Well, what is it? Does someone have him? Is he on a bus, on a train? Where is he?
Sonny: No, no, no -- you just go home, let me deal with this.
Carly: I'm not going home!
Sonny: You are pregnant. You're going to get stressed out, you don't need that right now.
Carly: Don't -- don't you dare patronize me, ok? You talk about stress -- Michael is my child, he's been missing for days. Don't shut me out here.
Sonny: Whatever I tell you, your -- your mind's going to go in every other direction, so what am I supposed to do?
Carly: Don't you think it already has? Don't you think I've already thought of every possible scenario? My mind can't go anywhere else! What's going on -- is he hurt? Does someone have him?
Sonny: No, no, nothing like that.
Carly: What is it?
Sonny: Michael's going to be ok. Listen. I'll fix it, I'll fix everything.
Ric: You know, I've always had so much anger towards Sonny and then even when I did try to make amends, there was always that resentment that was right beneath the surface.
Alexis: So you're honestly telling me that it's not anymore?
Ric: Well, I'm a work in progress.
Alexis: So what brought this on?
Ric: I have a daughter. I want her to be proud of her father. I want her to be able to love her sister and her uncle, and figured that starts with me standing on my own two feet, realizing that I'm in charge of my own life -- no blame, no excuses.
Alexis: Hmm. Where would life be without excuses?
Ric: Hmm. Well, I'm not really sure but I'm -- I'm finding out.
Alexis: If you ever need a crutch and you want to go out for ice cream or something with the girls, so we can remind each other what's really important in life, you can call me.
Ric: I may take you up on that sometime. But for right now, I seem to be doing pretty well.
Jax: Sonny didn't tell you anything?
Carly: No. He told me that everything was going to be ok and not to worry.
Jax: He always has to be the hero.
Carly: Something's up. Something's up because Sonny was so anxious and angry about Michael being missing, and now he's calm. He's just calm.
Jax: Well, maybe this -- this lead reassured him.
Carly: I just want him home.
Jax: Hey, hey. We both do.
Jax: I know. I'm going to go meet with my investigators again, ok?
Carly: Yes, yeah.
Jax: You'll be fine here?
Carly: I'm ok.
Jax: Call me if you need anything.
Carly: I will.
Jax: Ok. I love you.
Carly: I love you, too.
Kate: Any news on Michael?
Sonny: We got a lead. Um -- it looks like he ran away.
Kate: He did? Run away? Do you know why?
Sonny: Well, something I did or -- or said, I don't know. It's the way they -- it's just very complicated, yeah.
Kate: Is he ok, Sonny?
Sonny: I think so.
Kate: Well, that's -- that's wonderful news. You must be relieved.
Sonny: You know what I'm worried about? What I'm going to say to him when I -- when I see him.
Kate: You're going to tell him you love him.
Sonny: Well, I -- I hope that's my first instinct. But, you know, it looks like he deliberately disobeyed me.
[Sonny sighs]
Sonny: And, you know, I mean -- I don't know. I -- it's tough but I -- there's nothing I can do about it right now.
Kate: Sonny, you're going to work things out with Michael.
Sonny: Yeah, I know.
Kate: It's going to be fine.
Sonny: I know, I know, I know. What about us?
Kate: What do you mean?
Sonny: "What do I -- what do I mean?" What can I do to make up for what's happened?
Kate: I don't know. I'm just hoping my condition isn't permanent.
Sonny: Well, the doctors -- you know, you're taking the --
Kate: I'm not talking about my heart -- well, my physical heart. It was very nice of Max to let me in last night.
Sonny: Well, he likes you a lot.
Kate: No, he likes that you're happy with me. He doesn't want you to get back with Carly -- he's too smitten with her to see straight.
Sonny: Max isn't very good at covering it.
Kate: Well, what man is? Like you and Carly?
Sonny: Why do you keep bringing that up? You know I'm not in love with her anymore.
Kate: I know, but Carly has this quality you seem to like in a woman -- a casual confidence, a brash carelessness that catches your eye.
Sonny: Only when I'm in the mood.
Kate: Sometimes.
Sonny: Ok, we're both talking around something here. And -- we just need to go ahead and say it.
Monica: That is my property!
Tracy: You threw in the trash -- one has to wonder why.
Monica: It is none of your business.
Tracy: Monica -- Monica! Monica, you left the hospital wearing that shirt and then, all of a sudden, you come back wearing scrubs saying your car had been stolen! And then they find the car smashed into a park bench right near the site of a hit-and-run.
Monica: Absolutely no connection.
Tracy: Then why are you working so hard to get that shirt back?
Monica: Because you are railroading me!
Tracy: Oh, Dr. Ford. You let me back in the house, Monica, and I will give you the blouse.
Monica: Give me the blouse and I will think about it.
Tracy: No deal. Oh! Oh, well, keep that part as a souvenir of your career. I'll see you in the boardroom.
Monica: Oh.
[Marianna chuckles]
Ric: Well, how much longer until you get home?
Marianna: My shift is almost over.
Ric: Good. Then I'll come pick you up.
Marianna: No, that's ok. I am going to take the bus -- and don't try and talk me out of it. I checked the schedule and I'm all set.
Ric: You're just not going to give me a chance to be gallant, are you?
Marianna: Baby, you've been gallant since the moment I met you.
Ric: Well, I'm glad you noticed. And I'm going to get to show you my domestic capabilities, as well. I'm going to have dinner waiting for you by the time you get home.
Marianna: Huh. That sounds wonderful -- I'm starved.
[Door closes]
Marianna: I got to go. Um -- I'll -- I'll see you later. Bye.
Trevor: Who are you smiling at? My naive son?
Marianna: You know, your son's a good man.
Trevor: Most people in this town would disagree with you.
Marianna: People can change.
Trevor: Oh, so can -- except you and my son just get more skilled at hiding who you really are. For instance, you have always been an opportunistic little tramp.
Mike: Excuse me.
Trevor: Yeah?
Mike: Is there a problem here?
Trevor: Well, there could be. Have you taken a look at her papers? She's not allowed to work here, let alone live in the united states.
Marianna: I have my papers.
Trevor: Oh, I think you ought to look at them again.
Mike: Do you know this guy?
Marianna: Yes. He's Ric's father.
Mike: Trevor Lansing.
Trevor: Mm-hmm. And who are you?
Mike: Mike Corbin.
Trevor: Ah -- Sonny's father. Aren't you the drunken gambler who left Adela and his kid alone? Looks like life has really treated you pretty well.
Mike: You know, I heard you were around. I -- I was going to look you up.
Trevor: I don't think that you and I have anything to say to one another.
Mike: Well, I'll keep it really simple -- we serve a higher class of customer here.
Mike: So why don't you try the roach coach down the street -- now?
Maxie: What's going on, Spinelli? You're taking forever.
Spinelli: I'm reluctant to leave the shadows.
Maxie: Clothes don't fit?
Spinelli: Oh, if the helpful blond one is referring to measurements, the fit is correct but --
Spinelli: In terms of The Jackal's personality, I think the match is awkward at best. And I can tell by your face that you agree.
Maxie: Hmm -- no. No, I actually think that you look kind of cool.
Spinelli: Really? Cool -- huh. Uh, well, The Jackal basks in the blond one's praise.
Maxie: Yeah, but you still didn't tell me how you lost your other clothes.
Spinelli: Ah. Those grisly details are no longer important.
Maxie: I'm just going to hound you until you tell me, and I know you know how annoying I can be, so you might as well.
Spinelli: Look, I was trying to sneak aboard the same vessel that the little dude stowed away upon, but the big sue 2 had already left, so I stowed upon big sue 3, whose operators took great exception to my being there and decided to teach me a lesson by relieving me of my wardrobe.
Maxie: Oh. Well, how'd you get away?
Spinelli: Well, luckily for The Jackal and his trusty laptop, the deck of the ship was well lubricated by fishly innards.
Maxie: And?
Spinelli: Well, I -- naturally, I skated to safety and did a somewhat gymnastic maneuver to disembark from the ship and landed just before the ship took off from the dock.
Maxie: Oh, wow.
Spinelli: Yeah.
Maxie: I wish I could've been there to see that -- I mean, I don't wish I could've seen that. But -- so you didn't find Michael?
Spinelli: Uh, no, that's a negative, but floating through cyberspace, I did find remnants of the text message killer's laptop that was being unsuccessfully dissect--
Maxie: Translation, please?
Spinelli: It appears that evil Al's dark progeny was planning on detonating the explosive devices by remote computer command.
Maxie: Oh, my god -- where?
Spinelli: That's what The Jackal is endeavoring to find out.
Maxie: I don't know if we should be messing around with this.
Spinelli: You doubt The Jackal's prowess, after so many exhibition of my cyber skills?
Maxie: Well, it did shake faith a teeny bit when you got us stuck in that sewer together.
Spinelli: Huh. Ok, look, just -- can you just imagine the -- the dark mayhem that the text message killer was -- was planning by -- by exploding all these --
Maxie: I'm just saying Diego is crazy, and what if he was trying to plan on blowing up the whole city? What if you press the wrong key or something?
[Computer beeps]
Maxie: Oh.
Spinelli: Prophetic words.
[Beeping]
Maxie: Why is that beeping?
Elizabeth: Sorry that took so long.
[Elizabeth sighs]
Marianna: Just go. Stop making so much trouble.
Trevor: Trouble? You don't know what kind of trouble is going to hit you.
Marianna: You know, I got to finish up.
Trevor: What you need to do is finish your deal with me -- to steal that deed from Ric.
Marianna: The deal is off.
Trevor: Off?
Marianna: Yeah.
Trevor: Mm-hmm. You sleep with my son a couple of weeks and you get starry-eyed? "Off"? Wake up -- before I tell him why you really did get cozy on Martha's Vineyard.
Marianna: I don't care what you do to me, Trevor.
Trevor: Maybe not. But you will care what I do to Ric.
Marianna: What do you mean?
Randy: Looks like you got yourself in a corner.
Marianna: Oh, leave me alone.
Randy: Hey, take it easy.
Marianna: Leave me alone.
Randy: Maybe I can help you out -- if the price is right.
[Knock on door]
Ric: Ahem.
Claudia: Richard Lansing.
Ric: Yeah, that's right.
Claudia: I think it's about time you and I got acquainted.
Kate: I didn't know how to bring it up. I guess I was hoping that you would tell me on your own accord.
Sonny: Tell you what?
Carly: Hello?
Carly: Michael? Where are you?
Michael: I'm in Port Charles.
>> On the next "General Hospital" -
Claudia: This might be your lucky night. Sonny: Claudia Zacchara is nothing. It was one night, Kate. Carly: Where are you? [Bomb beeps] Carly: Michael? Oh, baby.
Mar 15, 2008 09:49
Elizabeth: I'm sorry that took so -- long.
Lucky: Where's Jason?
Elizabeth: Seattle. Patrick got him pushed to the front of the line for a new kind of orthopedic microsurgery.
Lucky: Do you know when he'll be back?
Elizabeth: I'm sure he'll do physical therapy there, but I don't really know. He got out of here in record time, though, which is great. I'm sorry you missed him.
Lucky: Actually, I need to talk to you.
Lucky: You and Jason are hiding something. I want you to tell me what it is.
Lulu: I went to all my classes today. That's why I was so late, but I knew you would understand. Maybe we should take classes together sometime when you wake up. I could take you to English Lit or World History.
[Lulu chuckles]
Lulu: And we'd spend all kinds of time together, just like before.
Luke: That's the guilt remembering, Lulu. You we throwing this guy out every other day before you whacked him upside his head.
Lulu: If I'd have just listened --
Luke: You might've been dead. All the evidence pointed to him as the killer.
Lulu: I should've believed in him.
Luke: Be careful, sweetheart. Guilt will ruin your life. If I'd have understood that earlier, I never would've pushed your mother into remembering that she killed Rick Webber.
Carly: Michael, where are you?
Carly: Are you hurt? Do I need to send an ambulance for you?
Michael: No!
Carly: Listen, baby, you tell me where you are and your father and I will come get you, okay?
Michael: No, not Dad.
Carly: What do you mean, "Not dad"? Did someone tell you to say that, Michael? Are you alone?
Michael: No, I -- I mean, yes.
Michael: I'll tell you if you promise not to bring Dad.
Carly: Why?
Michael: Promise. Not Dad -- just you.
[Bomb beeps]
Sonny: What happened was I asked you to marry me. You turned me down. I had a bad night, and it's over.
Kate: For you, maybe. But my heart isn't as strong as I once imagined, Sonny. I can't afford to ignore how I feel.
Sonny: I'm sorry I hurt you.
Kate: That's not really the point, though, is it?
Sonny: Well, it -- listen. Look at me, okay? It's not going to happen again.
Kate: I know you want to believe that. But that woman is still in town and she is still very interested. And she's still wearing those dreadful heels.
Ric: Um -- maybe you should start by telling me who you are?
Claudia: You thought that I was her, didn't you? Aw -- whoever-- whoever stood you up here.
Ric: Um -- well, what makes you think that whoever it is isn't still coming, or don't you care?
Claudia: You're Trevor Lansing's son, right? Sonny Corinthos' little half brother? You just stepped down as D.A.?
Ric: Well, I'm flattered that you know so much about me.
Claudia: Hmm. Well, get used to it. I'm Claudia -- Zacchara. I'm Anthony's daughter. And this might be your lucky night.
Lucky: I'm just following up on some new information about the night of Sam's accident.
Elizabeth: Did you find out who hit her?
Lucky: I got a couple of leads. I just -- have you heard anything?
Elizabeth: Well, you know what a rumor mill this place is.
Lucky: Any theories?
Elizabeth: I'm not big on gossip.
Lucky: Could we discuss where you were that night?
Lucky: I heard you telling Jason you think you did it.
Elizabeth: So, what, you're eavesdropping on me now?
Lucky: No, it wasn't planned. I was out in the hallway and I heard your voice. And, yeah, when you mentioned "hit-and-run," I decided to listen. I'm a cop -- that's what we do.
Elizabeth: Well, what'd you hear?
Lucky: That you were exhausted that night, too upset to drive. You'd been having nightmares and were on prescription meds. You dozed off and you hit something, that there was blood on the fender, that there was a dent in the car. I'm sure Jason cleared it up that night.
Elizabeth: Well, when did you hear all this?
Lucky: Yesterday, and I went to check out the details, also giving you a chance to tell me on your own.
Elizabeth: I wanted to. I wanted to since the night it happened.
[Lucky sighs]
Lucky: Jason said it was tearing you up inside. Of course he took the blame and he said he convinced you to wait.
Elizabeth: Because he was checking out other drivers.
Lucky: Jason doesn't want to believe that you have it in you to hit somebody and just drive away. I don't want to believe it, either.
Elizabeth: But you do, don't you? You think I deliberately hit Sam just to get back at her.
Sam: I can't explain it exactly, but Dr. Devlin seems just a little bit off to me.
Alexis: "Off" how?
Sam: Well, one minute he's not interested in my case, the next minute, he's too interested in my case. It's just a little unnerving, I suppose.
Alexis: Okay, you want me to talk to him?
Sam: No, thank you. I don't need my mother to fight all my battles --
Alexis: Yes, you do.
Sam: Wes. Hey.
Wes: I was just looking for you. How you doing?
Sam: I'm -- gosh -- a lot better now that you're here. I'm so glad that you came to visit. Mom, you remember Wes? He took over for producer of "Everyday Heroes" after Amelia left.
Wes: Wonderful to see you.
Alexis: Nice to see you. All right, I'll let you two talk shop. I'll get some coffee.
Sam: Okay. Hey, I am so glad that you came here. I -- I was just -- I was getting ready to call you, I can't wait to get back to work. Hiatus is such a drag.
Wes: Isn't it? I mean, everybody's ready to get back to work. We -- we start taping next week.
Sam: Next week? Huh -- that's funny. You crack me up -- you always have.
[Sam chuckles]
Wes: In Hawaii.
Sam: Uh -- did I not get an email or something?
Wes: You must've missed it.
Sam: Okay, that's -- that's funny. What, we -- we -- we can't start taping in Hawaii next week obviously, but I -- I do have some really good ideas about maybe a different sort of thing that we could do, maybe something like "Everyday Heroes Stands Up to Her Doctor" and "What Really Happens During Surgery." "Hospitals -- Do They Make You Sicker or Not?"
Wes: That's a little bit off concept, don't you think?
Sam: Yeah, I know, but I thought maybe it would be a good idea until at least I get back on my feet again. I don't know -- we can call it a fresh approach or something. We'll have promotions deal with that, but I -- I don't -- now that you're here, I know is really difficult to get clearances and stuff.
Wes: No, that -- that -- that's not going to be necessary.
Sam: Oh, why not?
Wes: Well, you're not doing the show.
Sam: What?
Wes: You're suspended.
Sonny: When did Claudia tell you?
Kate: Not long after my surgery. I woke up and there she was.
Sonny: In the hospital?
Kate: Mm-hmm. At first I thought it was a dream, a fashion nightmare. But it wasn't.
Sonny: Well, she must've been watching you through the room, because I -- I was there mostly all the time. Listen to me, okay? You don't have to worry about Claudia Zacchara. She is a whore, she's trash, she's nothing.
Kate: But you slept with her anyway.
Sonny: It was -- it was one night, Kate.
Kate: Right.
Sonny: It didn't --
Kate: So you were hurt, you felt rejected, so you went out and found the most dangerous woman you could find.
Sonny: I didn't even know who she was when --
Kate: Yeah. But she could have. She could have been planning this for months.
Sonny: She was just a woman in a bar.
Kate: No, Sonny, she wasn't just some woman. She was the woman that you chose to obliterate yourself with, to punish yourself, because you thought that I'd rejected you.
Sonny: Well, maybe I wanted to punish you. I'm sorry. I mean, that -- I don't know. What do you want me to say?
Kate: I -- I don't know.
Sonny: Well?
Kate: This whole situation -- it frightens me, Sonny.
Sonny: You don't have to worry about Claudia. I'm going to take care of her.
Kate: But, see, you're already hooked. Look, if this was just some woman, all right, just some random woman that you picked up in a bar in Atlantic City, I would not be concerned. It's true -- there were no promises made and I'm --
Sonny: Right, right.
Kate: In no position to judge. But Claudia's different, Sonny. It is very clear that she wants to cause trouble for you --
Sonny: Well, I --
Kate: For both of us.
Sonny: I'm not going to let that happen.
Kate: I really hope not. I don't want to know the details, okay?
Sonny: Okay, I'm --
Kate: I don't want to know them, but I would imagine that you two go to a very dark place. You know that can only hurt you, Sonny.
Sonny: Listen to me. You're -- you're giving her way too much credit.
Kate: Claudia Zacchara is a force to be reckoned with whether you want to admit it or not. And at the end of the day, all the hurt feelings aside, you have a whole lot more to lose than I do.
Ric: So did my father send you here?
Claudia: Hmm. Do you mind?
Ric: No, please.
Claudia: Huh. Forget about your father -- he's on his way out of the Zacchara organization, actually.
Ric: Huh. Well, that's not my problem.
Claudia: See, Trevor patronizes me, too. Wait till you see where it gets him.
Ric: Is that a threat?
Claudia: No.
[Glasses clink]
Claudia: It's an opportunity. I'm here to offer you a chance to be your own man, to stand up to your father and your big brother.
Ric: Oh. So the Zaccharas are taking over, huh?
Claudia: Mm-hmm. You heard it here first.
Ric: Who's going to be running the show, huh -- you?
Claudia: My little brother, Johnny.
Claudia: I'm just here to pave the way.
Ric: Yeah, you're here about those buildings at the waterfront.
Claudia: Mm-hmm. Who knew a bunch of old real estate could be worth so much to so many?
Scott: You know, Spencer, nobody needs to hear about Rick Webber, especially my son.
Luke: Oh, you're all involved with your son now that he's a rutabaga.
Scott: You know what -- roll yourself out of here!
Luke: Why don't you come with me? There's nothing for you here.
Lulu: I'm staying.
Luke: Don't waste all your best stuff on these two losers.
Scott: You know, Lulu, your father's right about something -- guilt. It's a wasted emotion.
Lulu: Has it ever occurred to you that maybe we're young and -- and stupid and messed up, but that I actually care about your son?
[Ric sighs]
Ric: Hey, make yourself at home.
Claudia: Well, you got stood up -- might as well do a little business. Look, Trevor's out, Johnny's in. There is a real opportunity here for the right person.
Ric: I never realized how much that waterfront property really was worth.
Claudia: Don't you want to put your brother in his place? Don't you want to run your father out of town? Hmm? Don't you want to show them what you're made of, Ric? I mean, have they ever given you the respect that you deserve?
Ric: I'm over it.
Claudia: If you were over it, then I think you would've asked me to leave a long time ago.
Ric: Ah, don't sell yourself short. Maybe I'm enjoying the view.
Claudia: Maybe the view gets better. And if you team up with me, with the Zaccharas now, then you will be in a position of power when it all really hits the fan.
Ric: Really -- and I have your word for that?
Claudia: You absolutely do, but I thought you might want something a little more tangible than my word to seal the deal. Hmm?
Ric: Okay, when does this transfer of power take place?
Claudia: Very soon -- when your brother realizes that we're closing in on him. He's very incredibly claustrophobic.
Ric: Yeah, yeah, and you're incredibly naive if you think it's going to be that easy.
Claudia: The harder, the better.
Ric: Huh.
Claudia: I'm good in a crisis, and I never panic.
Ric: Okay, if you're referring to a certain panic room, now I really don't know what you're talking about.
Claudia: I mean, you had him -- you had him, Ric. Why'd you back down? Why do you go to all that trouble if you're just, you know, not going to follow through in the end? I --
Ric: All right. Fine -- let's say that the Zaccharas are taking over.
Claudia: Mm-hmm.
Ric: If they get access to these waterfront buildings, what's in it for me?
Claudia: Money, more money than you've ever had -- power, hmm -- respect, revenge.
Ric: Revenge? I've wasted years of my life on revenge.
Claudia: Right, and why stop now when you're so close -- seriously? If you team up with me, with the Zaccharas, Sonny won't stand a chance.
Ric: Okay. It's an interesting offer, but I need something a little bit more simple in my life, you know --
Ric: Things that really matter.
Claudia: Okay. How's that working out for you?
Ric: She'll be here.
Claudia: And I'll be around. I'm hard to miss. And I never give up.
Ric: I don't doubt that.
Sonny: Claudia is not a threat. You got to get her out of your mind.
Kate: I know I should run, not walk, back to Manhattan and I should just drop all these plans I have for the magazine.
Sonny: You know what? I -- you know, I wouldn't want that, but I wouldn't blame you at all.
Kate: I don't want to, Sonny. I don't want to, because no matter what happened between you and Claudia, the condition of my heart -- nothing really has changed between the two of us.
Sonny: Can we just let it go, then?
Kate: I hope so.
Sonny: Can you at least let me take you to the hospital or you can come by my --
Kate: Why her?
Sonny: Uh -- huh. I thought you were going to -- we were going to let it go.
Kate: I know. I just -- she's just so --
Sonny: What did you want --
Kate: Not what you need, Sonny.
Sonny: Well, what did you -- who did you want to pick up on? One of your friends in Manhattan or a -- a waitress at Kelly's?
Kate: I don't know, just someone not so predatory.
Sonny: You know, when I came to Port Charles, I -- I -- you know, as I told you, I ran a strip joint and I did things that you don't even -- I don't even want to tell you about, while you were carousing with your boyfriend Trevor Lansing.
Kate: Oh. Okay, I'm not judging.
Sonny: And -- and neither am I and I'm telling you right now if we were married, that would not have happened, because I may not be good at staying, you know, married, but I am faithful.
Kate: Sonny?
Sonny: Yes?
Kate: You are a better man than you give yourself credit for.
Sonny: You don't know the things I do.
Kate: And I don't want to know the things you've done. And no matter what happened with Claudia -- here we are. Sonny, I'm not ready to give up.
Sonny: Neither am I.
Kate: So what does that mean? Does that mean we're damaged or we're not afraid to hope?
Sonny: Well, that means that I want to take care of you. I want to make you happy and I want you to be safe and I want to love you.
Kate: You do know that I loved you for years, right? I mean --
Sonny: Yeah, I do.
Kate: Hmm.
Sonny: See -- I'm practicing, right?
Kate: Okay, so Claudia --
Sonny: Hmm?
Kate: She only has as much power as we give her.
Sonny: Right, right, right. You know what? Ahem. You're good for me because you make me see the way things are. And I -- I got a feeling things are going to get better because it's pretty clear now that the Zaccharas didn't take Michael. And I got a -- a feeling I'm going to see my boy tomorrow.

Carly: Michael?
[Noise]
Carly: Michael? Michael! Oh, baby. Oh.
Lulu: Logan and I had a lot of problems. He's demanding and he has a huge chip on his shoulder and he does things on impulse and he's sorry for them later. I know how that is -- I've done them, too. He and I are a lot alike, so I'm going to help him any way I can.
Sam: You can't suspend me. I have a contract.
Wes: Well, force majeure.
Sam: What does that mean?
Wes: That car running you down was an act of God, an unforeseen circumstance, and now the network can essentially do whatever it wants.
Sam: Okay, let me get this straight -- I'm suspended, not fired, for how long exactly?
Wes: It's just 13 weeks, depending on your health. And we found a terrific replacement -- Sam, you're going to love her.
Sam: Replacement? But that entire show was built around me.
Wes: Yeah, back when you were rappelling off of buildings and deep-sea diving and kickboxing.
Sam: No, no, no, no. This is my show, I practically created it.
Wes: No, Sam, "Everyday Heroes" is about beautiful women who dive into danger and save the day. I mean, you can't do that with a bad hip. But you know, Tiffany -- she wants to meet you anyway. You have been, like, her hero since day one.
Sam: Tiffany? You're kidding me, right?
Wes: No, the kid has not missed an episode, okay? I mean, she -- she knows more about this show than I do. And we stumbled across this woman at a beauty pageant in Utah. Apparently, she graduated college at 4.0, she's been modeling since she was 2, and she's, like, a tri-athlete on the short list for the Olympics.
Sam: Oh, this is good -- a beauty pageant?
Wes: Oh, Tiffany -- she is 6'1" in bare feet, blond, gorgeous. And she -- she nailed the screen test, boom, one take. I'm telling you, she -- she's easy to work with and she's just -- talk about clean living. I mean, this one doesn't even drink coffee, Sam. She signs her contract, two minutes later she runs down --
Sam: Wait a minute -- a contract? How can she possibly have a contract?
Wes: Sam, why wouldn't she have a contract?
Sam: I --
Alexis: Is there a problem?
Sam: Yes, there is a problem. I have been replaced by Tiffany the beauty pageant winner who happens to be blond and six feet tall -- I guess that matters -- and a tri-athlete, to add that.
Wes: Actually, she rides horses, too. I mean, she was the rodeo queen at Provo, like, three years in a row. She's won all these awards for horse jumping. I mean, I think for the opening sequence, we're going to have her riding bareback --
Sam: That's enough. Really, Wes, it's enough.
Alexis: You can't replace my daughter.
Wes: Well, we're suspending your daughter until she can meet the physical requirements of the show.
Alexis: You can't do that, either.
Wes: Her contract is quite clear. Look, once Sam is up and running again, she's welcome back on the show -- at our discretion, of course -- and depending --
Sam: Oh, great.
Wes: On Tiffany's numbers.
Alexis: Do you have lawyers?
Wes: We do.
Alexis: Have them call me.
Wes: Not a problem. It's great seeing you both.
Sam: Yeah.
Alexis: Hmm.
Sam: Fantastic.
Alexis: I'll get your job back.
Sam: No, I would never be on that show again -- you wait and see. It's just typical, you know? I've -- I've lost my daughter, I lost my brother, I can't have kids anymore, I lost Jason, I lost Lucky, and now because of whoever hit me with their car, I lost the only thing I had left.
Lucky: I don't want to believe it's in you to deliberately injure another person. But I know you're capable of living with a lie, so I don't know what to think.
Elizabeth: I wasn't the only person on Tuckerton Road that night.
Lucky: Jason said he has some more leads. I think he suspects Monica.
Elizabeth: Do you?
Lucky: Well, Tracy's trying to prove that Monica was driving drunk that night. They just had a big fight right out in front of the elevators, and I confirmed that Monica's car was involved in an accident, but she swears that her car was stolen.
Elizabeth: Do you believe her?
Lucky: There have been a lot of auto thefts in the area recently.
Elizabeth: Then maybe it was me. Maybe I hit Sam and just kept on driving.
Michael: Mom --
Carly: It's okay, I'm here.
Michael: I -- I can't breathe.
Carly: Okay.
Michael: I'm so sorry.
Carly: It's okay. I brought you some water and some candy bars and we're going to get you out of here.
Michael: Not yet.
Carly: What do you mean, "Not yet"? You've had me scared to death. I don't know what happened and I don't care -- I'm going to take you home.
Michael: You can't tell Dad.
Carly: I can't tell dad what -- that I found you?
Michael: Tell -- tell him I'm on a school trip or something and -- and you forgot about it and I forgot to call.
Carly: You need to talk to me, Michael, and tell me what's going on here.
Michael: I just can't see Dad -- not tonight, not ever again.
Carly: Why? Michael? Did you hear something, did you see something you shouldn't have seen?
Michael: No.
Carly: What did Sonny do?
Michael: It's not him. It's me.
Sonny: Well, there's a good chance that Michael ran away and I'm not very happy about that. But at least I know now that the Zaccharas didn't take him.
Kate: I hope you're right, Sonny.
Sonny: I mean, he's the kind -- he's -- he does this thing the whole time, you know? Does these little stunts here and there just because he wants his mother and I to get back together and --
Kate: Well, he's a little old for that, don't you think?
Sonny: But he's been under a lot of pressure, with Leticia and Emily dying and -- he just wants to protect his mother and I think it all just came down on him.
Kate: And he didn't come to you for help?
Sonny: Well, uh -- I've been a little preoccupied lately as you know, and -- wow. I came down on him hard a couple of days ago. I may not always be a perfect father. But he's got to know how much I love him.
Kate: Is there anything I can do to help?
Sonny: Well --
Sonny: Hello?
Claudia: I have a proposition for you, and I promise you won't want to turn me down.
Elizabeth: I think I've known all along that I hit Sam. Jason tried to look at the situation from all sides, but I knew --
Lucky: He was trying to protect you. But if you had come forward the night it happened --
Elizabeth: Would I be better off?
Lucky: The judge might go easy on you.
Elizabeth: Huh. You want to know where I was going that night? To see Jason. We have been meeting at a house in the middle of t country for weeks now. He's the only person in my life who calms my anxieties and my fears, and I had to see him, no matter what the cost.
Lucky: Yeah, well, maybe your lawyers can keep all that out of the courts.
Elizabeth: And what about Jake? What happens to him? If this goes to court -- and you know it will -- the truth is going to come out about him. That's why I kept quiet for so long. Jason wanted to make absolutely sure, and -- and I just -- and I hoped and I prayed that none of this --
Lucky: Sam will be out for blood.
Elizabeth: I'll lose custody. Sam will make sure the world knows who Jake's father really is. And that little boy will lose the only family he has ever known. And everything that we have gone through -- all the pain and all the sacrifices we have made will be for nothing.
Alexis: All right, I have a plan. First of all, the police are going to find out who left you in this condition. I'm going to make sure that person is penniless and in jail for the rest of their lives. Then I'm going to sue the network, because what they're doing to you is illegal.
Sam: No, no. Listen, Wes is right. He's right. Nobody wants to see the host of "Everyday Heroes" hobbling around on a cane. I am damaged goods. I always have been --
Alexis: Stop, stop, stop --
Sam: So it's fine.
Alexis: Stop.
Sam: Okay, but it's true.
Alexis: No, it's not. Because what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And in your case, you should be really, really strong by now. You are, Sam. You are. You have overcome enormous odds. And you will do it again. I have faith in you. I'm proud of you. And I love you.
Ric: Hello?
Marianna: Thank God.
Ric: Marianna, where are you? What's wrong?
Marianna: Andele. I need your help, please.
Carly: What do you mean, it was you? What happened that was so terrible to make you disappear and scare the hell out of all of us?
Michael: I called.
Carly: I know you called, baby, but then you didn't call back, and it scared me even more because I thought somebody had you.
Carly: I know you're sorry. You keep saying that. Michael, come on, I can't help you if you don't talk to me. You need to tell me what's going on here.
Michael: It's Kate.
Carly: What about Kate?
Michael: I did it.
Carly: You did what?
Michael: On the docks -- I killed her.
Carly: Oh, my God.
Michael: It was an accident, I swear. I was trying to throw the gun in the dumpster, but it went off.
Carly: You shot Kate Howard?
Michael: I killed her.
Carly: She isn't dead, Michael.
Michael: Yes, she is. I touched her. I got her blood on my hands.
Carly: Okay, stop, stop. I need to -- you were throwing away a loaded gun in a dumpster on the docks?
Michael: I dropped it and it went off.
Carly: And you knew Kate Howard was shot?
Michael: It was an accident.
Carly: You didn't call anyone? You didn't call 911; you didn't call me or your father?
Michael: I thought she was dead!
Carly: So you just left a woman lying there, bleeding, and you ran away?
Michael: I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.
Sonny: I'm in the middle of a meeting.
Claudia: I'm offering a trade for Johnny.
Sonny: What else is new?
Claudia: Are you interested?
Sonny: Well, you've wasted my time so far. You call me, okay, when you have a real offer.
Claudia: The St. Lawrence shipping lanes, all of them.
Sonny: I'm listening.
Claudia: In return for my brother. Even though my family did not take your son.
Sonny: Who gave you the authority?
Claudia: Carlos Zambrano from upstate. He'll sign over all of them in return for John.
Claudia: Tonight. If you bring my brother to the cannery, I'll bring the papers.
Sonny: Did Trevor sign off on this?
Claudia: Trevor is out. Okay? But do not show up without Johnny.
Sonny: Be ready to make a deal.
Sonny: You all right? Because I -- I got to take care of this.
Kate: Yeah, I imagine you do.
Lulu: Any change?
Doctor: Not yet, but that doesn't mean there won't be.
Scott: Well, we saw his hand move. There's no question there.
Lulu: He was reaching for me. His fingers touched my hand.
Doctor: Then just keep doing what you're doing.
Scott: Does that mean he's going to wake up?
Doctor: It means all of you had a good day. Excuse me.
Scott: Oh -- what's he talking about? That's a little vague.
Lulu: I don't care. You saw what I saw.
Scott: Yeah. He is responding to you.
Lulu: He's going to wake up, I know it. And I don't want him to wake up to this feud that you have with my father. In a way, it's what brought this on and it's hurt enough people already.
Scott: Well, then you better talk to your father, because he doesn't give a damn about my son.
Lulu: And you obviously don't give a damn about me, but you're going to have to get over it, both of you. That's what I'm going to do. I'm not going to tell my dad that you killed Rick Webber and let my mom take the blame, not because I like you, not because my dad will kill you and I would never see him again, but because it's not my fight, and I don't want it in my life. Nor in Logan's.
Lucky: There were mitigating circumstances. You were completely stressed out.
Elizabeth: I was in no shape to be driving and I knew it.
Lucky: There's still no hard proof that you hit Sam.
Elizabeth: Do you doubt it?
Lucky: I always want to believe in you.
Elizabeth: But you're a cop. You follow leads, you gather evidence, you eliminate suspects. Which leaves me. Sam has wanted to tear apart my family for so long. Now she can. Now she will.
Michael: I know I messed up. But I sort of did okay.
Carly: What part of any of this is okay, Michael?
Michael: I -- I did what Jason would do. I got rid of the gun and disappeared.
Carly: Don't mention Jason, because if he knew you had a gun, he'd be so upset with you right --
Michael: He does.
Carly: Where'd you get the gun?
Michael: From some kids on the docks. I had to go back later and get the bullets. Grandpa Mike caught me and he made me throw them in the ocean, but I saved one.
Carly: Mike knows?
Michael: I know it was dangerous with Morgan in the house. But I was trying to be careful.
Carly: Oh, my God, Michael. Your father has to know about this!
Michael: He knows.
Carly: He just decided not to tell me?
Michael: Well, he didn't want to worry you.
Carly: Huh.
Michael: Well, that's why I had to run away. Dad told me that if he ever caught me with a gun, I should run, and keep on running. So I did.
Trevor: When Claudia arrives, you track her and put a bullet in her heart. I'll give you the signal.
Mr. Vaughn: This one I do for free.
[Trevor chuckles]
Trevor: Johnny is going to think that Sonny did it, and he will not rest until he destroys Corinthos. Or vice versa -- it's all the same to me.
Claudia: I'm not armed.
Claudia: Tell your boss I don't have all day.
Johnny: You came here by yourself? What's wrong with you?
Sonny: Can you shut him up? Because --
Claudia: Hey, hey! You touch my brother, the deal is off.
Sonny: First things first.
Elizabeth: I'm sorry. I've already caused you so much pain, and now this.
Elizabeth: Lucky? Has the paperwork on this case been done yet?
Lucky: No. You're not even a suspect.
Elizabeth: And what about Sam?
Lucky: She doesn't know any of the details.
Elizabeth: So what if this case went on the books as -- as unsolved? Would that be possible?
Lucky: It'd be better for everyone if I just closed this case right now.
Elizabeth: Thank you.
Ric: You all right?
Marianna: Oh, baby --
Ric: What's wrong?
Ric: What's wrong? What happened, what happened?
Marianna: Look. Oh, my God. Oh --
Sonny: Don't bother me with papers. I need a sign of good faith.
Claudia: What kind of good faith do you have in mind?
Johnny: You don't owe him a damn thing. He knows we don't have Michael.
Carly: You will never be a part of your father's world, do you understand me? That was never part of the plan. Let's go.
Claudia: You want good faith?
Sonny: Get Carlo on the phone.
[Gunshot]
Lulu: Please wake up, Logan.
Robin: I'm the biggest hypocrite and I'm sorry.
Jax: Where are Carly and Michael?
Sonny: You're going to be okay.
Mar 17, 2008 11:40
Monday, March 17, 2008 Part 1
Marianna: Thank god.
Marianna: Look. Oh, my god. Oh --
Robin: Oh -- whew. Ah.
Patrick: You ok?
Robin: Oh -- I'm fine.
Patrick: You look pale -- actually, a little green.
Robin: I said I'm fine.
Patrick: Morning sickness, huh?
Robin: You know, can we not do this right now? I'm late for a consult.
Patrick: Robin, you're nauseas because you're pregnant. I mean, that's --
Robin: I'm used to nausea, ok? I went on the cocktail when it was still experimental, I spent half my life in college trying not to throw up. Nausea isn't the problem, ok? You are the problem because you keep following -- oh --
Patrick: Whew.
Lulu: So this is your -- your room? I thought your dad would be here with you. Is that a good or bad thing that he's not? The truth is I -- I don't even know how you feel about your dad. I don't know how you feel about me, for that matter. Are you glad that I'm here, or are you screaming inside for me to go away?
[Siren]
[Debris falls]
[Johnny coughs]
Johnny: Agh -- oh -- ah -- Claudia?
Johnny: Claudia, can you hear me?
Johnny: Claudia, are you in here?
Johnny: Oh --
[Michael coughs]
Michael: Help.
Johnny: Who's there?
Michael: Michael Corinthos.
Johnny: Can you move, Michael?
Johnny: Are you hurt?
Michael: I don't know, there's something heavy on me. I can't lift it.
Johnny: All right, take it easy, take it easy. Oh --
[Creaking]
Johnny: Hang on.
Johnny: Here we go.
Michael: I know you. You came to our house one day.
Johnny: That's right.
Michael: You're a Zacchara.
Johnny: Right now I'm the guy that's going to get you out of here. All right, when I lift, I want you to --
Johnny: I want you to crawl out, ok?
Michael: Ok.
Johnny: Ready?
Michael: Yeah.
Johnny: Go!
[Michael and Johnny cough]
Michael: Thanks.
Johnny: There should be an exit over here, let's go. Michael: No. My mom's still in here. We have to find her.
[Sonny groans]
Sonny: Whew.
[Debris collapses]
[Jax coughs]
Jax: Sonny, where are Carly and Michael?
Sonny: What are you talking about?
Jax: Damn it, Carly said that she was meeting Michael here. Weren't they with you?
Sonny: No, I was at a meeting. You're telling me Carly and Michael are still in there, Jax?
Singer: A little note "go meet me on the platform where the line begins underground" I'll be your tailor but waist up you're stitched up
Epiphany: Dr. Scorpio, how good of you to join us.
Robin: I had a consult.
Epiphany: Mm-hmm.
Robin: Do I have a patient waiting?
Epiphany: 27-year-old woman complaining of acute head pain and blurred vision.
Robin: Sounds like a migraine.
Epiphany: The intern sent her up for a C.T. scan, but I thought that you might want to take a look at her -- or I can always toss it to Drake Jr.
Robin: I will take it, thanks.
Epiphany: Saltines.
Robin: Excuse me?
Epiphany: For the morning sickness, the saltines will ease your stomach.
Robin: I'll keep that in min thank you. Don't start with me.
Patrick: I -- I didn't say anything. I got a page about a head trauma.
Robin: It's a migraine.
Epiphany: Yours is a migraine, his is a head trauma. Cubicle two.
Robin: Now, why would you page Patrick when you know I'm perfectly capable of handling both cases?
Epiphany: I did try you first, but the desk nurse said that you were already running late.
Kelly: There you are. Did you have any recommendations for my patient?
Robin: I haven't had time to look over the chart yet.
Kelly: But I thought you said you were going to look over it when you came back from --
Robin: I was throwing up, ok? It's perfectly normal, and it's usually over after the first trimester, so I'd really appreciate it if everyone would stop interrogating me about it in the meantime.
Kelly: Mood swings -- also perfectly normal.
Patrick: Ok, first trimester -- that's the first three months, and then that's -- that should be it?
Epiphany: You wish.
Kelly: It tends to get worse -- it's the hormones.
Patrick: Right.
Jax: There's at least one woman in there and a 12-year-old boy. Was there anyone in there with you?
Sonny: Four, maybe five people.
Jax: At least five other people. Please hurry up!
Sonny: Jax, listen. Did Carly tell you that she was meeting Michael?
Jax: She said he was in the cannery.
Sonny: Ok, the can-- it's a huge building, it's going to take us hours to search the place -- that's if the -- the roof doesn't cave in --
Jax: Well, you were in there with him! Was there no sign of him?
Sonny: No! I was at the northwest corner. The only people that were there were the people -- agh -- that I was meeting with.
Jax: Ok, then we'll start on the south end -- maybe they got closer to that side.
Sonny: Jax, come here! We don't know if they're together! You got to go -- you go through that entrance, I'm going to go inside.
Jax: No, no, no, Sonny, Sonny, Sonny, we have to stay together. What if we find them and they need both of our -- our help? Ok, what if they're stuck in there or something?
Sonny: You don't know what's going --
Jax: Someone's coming out.
Michael: Dad --
[Coughing]
Sonny: Thank god you're ok, huh?
Jax: Did you see Carly?
Johnny: No.
Sonny: Where's your mother?
Michael: I couldn't find her.
Ric: Are you all right?
Marianna: I think so.
Ric: Ok.
Marianna: Oh -- what happened?
Ric: I don't know -- an explosion or something.
[Marianna coughs]
Ric: Probably the Zaccharas -- or my beloved brother.
Marianna: Oh, my -- why would someone want to blow up your building?
Ric: I don't know, I'm just glad that we're both alive. Come on.
Marianna: Oh, my -- how do we get out of here?
Ric: I don't know -- look, you know what? This cannery has entrances both at the north and the south end, sweetheart. The east end -- it goes out over the water. It looks like the fire is worse over there, so we should probably go out to the north or south --
Marianna: Oh -- Ric?
Ric: Randy? Oh, god, I forgot about him. Oh, god. How did he die?
Marianna: I don't know.
Ric: Look, Marianna, you got to trust me. Look, even if you did kill him, I'll stand by you. It'll be self-defense.
Marianna: No, I -- I didn't! I swear, ok? Randy said I had to meet him, and when I got here, I found him on the ground!
Ric: Doesn't look like he's been shot or stabbed. The explosion could work for us.
Jax: I drove up when the building exploded. When I arrived, Sonny was coming out, and two minutes later, Johnny brought Michael out.
Mac: You were inside the cannery when it exploded?
Mac: With Michael?
Johnny: No, I found him screaming under a pile of rubble and I pulled him out.
Jax: Mac, Carly's still in there, ok? We need to start searching for her now.
Sonny: Listen to me. Did you see your mom before the cannery exploded?
Michael: Yeah, she came to me. I had to tell her everything. Dad, I -- I shot Kate --but -- but I didn't mean to.
Sonny: I know you didn't.
Michael: I -- I was trying to throw the gun away and I dropped it --
Sonny: Listen -- listen to me. It was an accident, but you shouldn't have run away. You know that.
Michael: You told me that if you ever caught me with a gun, I should run, and keep on running.
Sonny: I know I told you that, but that was my fault and I'll take the blame for that. And you should've never had to go through this. You understand me?
Michael: Do you hate me?
[Siren stops]
Sonny: I could never hate you, because you're my son and I love you forever. Understand me?
Michael: Mom said that, too. She said that we should go home, and then everything exploded. I -- I tried to look for her, but I just couldn't find her.
Sonny: Ok, you don't have to worry about that right now, ok? Um -- everything's going to be ok with your mom, ok? Does that hurt?
Michael: Not too bad.
Sonny: Excuse me! Can I get a -- my son was in the building when it exploded.
E.M.T.: What's your name
Michael: Michael.
E.M.T.: All right, Michael, I need you to follow my finger with your eyes, ok? Do you have any pain in your abdomen or just --
E.M.T.: In your back or anything -- no? Listen, we're going to need to take both of you to the hospital to run some tests.
Sonny: No, I can't -- I can't -
E.M.T.: Since you're father and son, you can ride in the same ambulance.
Sonny: No, I can't go.
E.M.T.: Sir, you need medical attention.
Sonny: Don't grab me, ok? Listen to me. You're going to go to the hospital by yourself because I can't -- I'm going to go in there and try to find your mama. Can you handle that?
Sonny: Ok. His grandmother's Bobbie Spencer. If she's not there at G.H., then can you give him to Dr. Robin Scorpio?
Michael: I'm going to be ok, dad.
Sonny: I know. You're going to be great because I -- I'm proud of you. Don't you ever forget that.
Mac: Stop him!
Ofc. Riley: Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold up, sir.
Sonny: Ok, Mac -- Mac, don't do this right now.
Mac: Look, we're sending firefighters in to search, but we need an accurate list of who's inside.
Officer: The south entrance is clear.
Jax: You'll have to get your list from Sonny, I'm going to look for my wife.
Mac: I didn't say you could go!
Johnny: My sister's in there, I'm bringing her out. You don't like it, shoot me!
Mac: Sonny, we can't waste time searching in the wrong place, so you need to cooperate for one time.
Sonny: Ok, take it easy.
Mac: Why were you in the cannery, and who were you with?
Sonny: Ok, I was meeting Johnny's sister. It was her, Johnny, me, and my two men -- Phil and Roger.
Mac: Were shots fired?
Sonny: No, not by any of us, Mac.
Mac: So someone else was shooting?
Sonny: It's possible. Look, I'm talking one minute. Next minute, I'm laying down on the floor, there's a beam coming to my face, there's debris everywhere. I didn't see anybody, I got out! I didn't know that -- that Carly was still in there!
Det. Harper: We started receiving multiple 911 calls around 8:50 P.M., and it looks like a single large explosion.
Alexis: Is it possible it was an accident, maybe a -- a gas main blew?
Det. Harper: No, we won't know for sure until we get an arson team in there, but it looks deliberate.
Alexis: No --
Det. Harper: One of these mob kingpins just decided to bomb the crap out of the other.
Alexis: See, I don't get that, though -- they're violent, but they're not stupid. So why would they blow up an empty building? What are you doing back here?
[Helicopter flies]
Jax: You know Michael's missing, right?
Alexis: Yes, I know.
Jax: Carly got a call to pick him up here.
Alexis: Oh, god.
Jax: No, Michael's fine, Michael's fine -- Johnny Zacchara got him out after it exploded. He's on his way to the hospital, but Carly's still in there.
Alexis: What -- hold it. What was Zacchara doing with Carly and Michael?
Jax: He wasn't. Sonny was having some kind of mob boss meeting in the cannery.
Alexis: Did Sonny make it out?
Jax: Of course. Sonny never gets hurt or killed, only the people around him do.
Alexis: Oh -- hey, if you go in there and you die trying to save Carly and she survives, she's going to blame me, so you're condemning me to a life of hell.
Jax: Alexis --
Alexis: It's safer -- not to mention more efficient --
Alexis: If you let the professionals do their job.
Jax: I'm going to go in and get Carly -- the same way I'd go in to get you.
Marianna: What are you doing?
Ric: I want to make sure that the rescue workers can't find Randy's body until I can get you out of the building.
Marianna: This is crazy.
Ric: Listen, do me a favor -- don't call me "crazy." I'm a little sensitive about that subject.
Marianna: This is no time for jokes -- the building's on fire!
Ric: Yes, exactly. Look, Marianna, there was a huge explosion, and when they find randy's body, we want to make sure that the police think that that is what killed him.
Marianna: That's not going to work. They're going to check him.
Ric: No, no. The longer it takes to find his body and the worse condition it's in, the less likely they're going to be able to connect his death with you.
Marianna: But I didn't kill him!
Ric: Yes, I understand, Marianna, but there's a very strong circumstantial case against you, all right? You had every reason to hate randy, you were found alone with his body, and you're the only one who has a motive to kill him, ok?
Marianna: So, you do think I killed him?
Ric: No, no, I do not think that. Listen to me, I believe you, but a jury may not.
Marianna: Ok.
Ric: But, listen, I got to get you out of here, and I need to get his body to the east end of the cannery where it goes out over the water.
Marianna: But that's where the fire's the worst!
Ric: No, no, no, no, listen to me, listen to me. If I can get his body into the water, then there's a chance that nobody's going to find it -- and even if they do, then -- then they're not going to know what happened, ok?
Marianna: What if e police find you moving randy? You could be charged for murder.
Robin: The migraine is, indeed, a migraine. I administered meperidine, and I want her to rest for 20 minutes, and then she can be released.
Patrick: Hey, is it safe to approach?
Robin: That depends -- are we discussing a case?
Patrick: I want your opinion on a possible head trauma. If you're not comfortable consulting, I can talk to Ian.
Robin: Maybe you should.
Patrick: Ok, so now we can't work together because of our baby?
Robin: My baby.
Patrick: Robin, whether you like it or not, this baby carries both our D.N.A.
Robin: And parenthood is more than just biology, it's also about loving and wanting a child.
Patrick: I haven't had a chance to want this child -- I wouldn't even know it was mine if you --
Robin: You know what? I can't do this right here, ok?
Patrick: Ok, then when? I call you, you don't answer.
Epiphany: Dr. Scorpio?
Patrick: I talk to you, you bite my head off.
Epiphany: Little Michael Corinthos is waiting in cubicle three, and the paramedic that brought him in said that his father wanted you to look at him.
Robin: On my way. Hi, Michael. So, apparently, your father wants me to take care of you.
E.M.T.: Yeah, he was in the building when it exploded. He doesn't have any signs of a concussion. His pupils are equal and reactive, and his chest sounds are normal.
Robin: Thank you for taking care of him.
E.M.T.: You're welcome.
Robin: So, let me take a look here. Hmm -- how you feeling?
Michael: I'm ok.
Robin: You must've learned that from Jason. He literally can't admit when he's hurt. I remember one time -- I think he was in a fire or something. He came home, and he had cuts and bruises all over his face, and his hands were blistered, but he kept telling me, "I'm fine, I'm fine." I remember he went over to your playpen, where you were, and he picked you up and he got soot marks all over this cute little romper you were wearing.
Michael: I was in a playpen?
Robin: Mm-hmm. I used to live with Jason when you were a baby.
Sonny: Carly? If you can hear me, Michael's safe, he needs his mother.
[Trevor groans]
Sonny: Please, lis--
Sonny: Trevor? You don't look good.
Trevor: Oh, god. What happened?
Sonny: The building exploded.
Trevor: You did it, didn't you?
Sonny: I'd say it was you, but why risk blowing yourself up? What are you doing here, Trevor?
Trevor: Oh -- where's Richard? I came here to talk business with him.
Sonny: You were following me or Claudia.
Trevor: I try to avoid Claudia as much as possible, believe me. She's even nuttier than her old man, and I don't need to blow buildings up to send my messages.
Sonny: You think Claudia did this, Trevor?
Trevor: Oh -- that girl -- that girl is emotionally deranged. It's tragic, but it's true, and you know it. Was she with you? Is she all right?
Sonny: You don't care if Claudia dies -- matter of fact, the fact that you're showing so much concern let's me know that you're up to your neck in this.
Trevor: Where is -- is john? Is this where you were keeping him?
Sonny: He's alive and well -- for now.
Trevor: Did he make it outside this building, huh?
Singer: I'll be your tailor but waist up you're stitched up and shining like orange in the sun darling, we are all alone tonight.
Mar 17, 2008 11:43
Robin: Can you believe that I held you the first night you came home from the hospital? Now you're almost as tall as me.
Michael: No offense, but you're not very tall.
Robin: This is true. It's still crazy to think, though, that you were so tiny, I could hold you in my arms. I mean, I used to sing to you, I'd read to you. I even got you your first Halloween costume -- you were a pumpkin.
[Robin laughs]
Michael: I'm really glad I do not remember that.
Robin: Oh, you were so cute, you really were. I mean, I'm sure Bobbie has pictures of it somewhere.
Michael: I'll burn them. Uh --
[Robin chuckles]
Michael: It's weird.
Robin: Hmm?
Michael: You did all this for me, and I barely know you.
Robin: It's complicated.
Michael: Mom and Jason lied and said that he was my dad -- when he isn't.
Robin: Well, they had their reasons. They weren't trying to hurt anyone.
Lulu: Why did you try to frame Johnny as the text message killer? Was it my fault -- for making you jealous? Were you really going to trash Johnny's life just because I care about him, too? Or did you already know how badly you messed up? Were you already sorry? I know how that is. When you put something in motion, you can't take it back, no matter how hard you try. I'm not doing any good here tonight. I am going to come back and try to think of something constructive to talk about. Maybe I'll bring a car magazine and read it to you. Please wake up, Logan. It's the only way that anything is going to be made right.
Sonny: The north entrance is that way.
Trevor: And why should I believe you?
Sonny: Then don't, Trevor.
Sonny: Wander around, let the walls fall in on you. I don't care -- saves me a lot of trouble.
Trevor: Please tell me, is Johnny alive?
Sonny: I'm wasting my time right now. Did you do this?
Det. Harper: Police and fire department, can anyone hear us?
Johnny: Over here!
Trevor: John, you're alive!
Johnny: When did you start praying for me, Trevor?
Trevor: What do you mean? He's the one who kept you -- I've been looking for you!
Det. Harper: Are any of you injured?
Sonny: He will be if you don't get him out of here.
Fireman: Right over here, sir. Follow me.
Trevor: Come on, John --
Johnny: No -- has -- has anyone seen my sister? She's 5'6", dark hair.
Det. Harper: The only other evacuee is a man, a Roger Powell -- he claims he works for you?
Trevor: Come on, John, let's go.
Johnny: Wait, there's another dead guy underneath that rubble over there.
Sonny: Why aren't you out searching for Carly right now? That's what you need to be doing.
Det. Harper: We are looking for her and anybody else who might still be trapped in here.
Marianna: I don't want you to risk yourself for me.
Ric: Look, we don't have time to argue, ok?
Marianna: Randy would love it if you'd go to prison for his murder.
Ric: Listen, to me, I should've gone to prison a long time ago. Look, I -- I was able to stay free because I'm very good at covering things up. It's a gift, really, ok? And now I finally get a chance to do something worthwhile. I want to save you. But you got to stop fighting me, ok, and let me. All right?
Ric: Ok. Come on, get out of here. Watch your step.
[Marianna and Ric cough]
Jerry: Oh, dear, dear, dear, dear, dear -- Mr. Alcazar's building appears to be in flames.
Alexis: Please tell me that you had nothing to do with this?
Jerry: Oh, that would be the waste of a good match.
Alexis: Did Jax call you?
Jerry: Why? Should he have?
Alexis: Because Carly's in there, he just went in after her.
Jerry: You got to be kidding. Why didn't you try to stop him?
Alexis: I did, he didn't listen.
Jerry: Bloody hell.
Alexis: My sentiments exactly.
Jerry: And it's a big building. I mean, do you know which way Jax went in?
Alexis: You're not going in there after him.
Jerry: Well, yeah -- Lady Jane would kill me if anything happened to Jax, you know that.
Alexis: I suppose you'll be all right -- only the good die young, and there's nothing good about you.
Jerry: Oh, I happen to be quite good at something.
Alexis: Are you --
Jerry: Yes, and if you're good, someday I'll demonstrate.
Alexis: You aren't choosing now to be smarmy, are you?
Jerry: Oh, does this mean I don't get a good-luck kiss?
Alexis: I hope the building falls on you.
Jerry: No, you don't.
Patrick: I put Mr. Mead on a course of steroids. If the medication works, we won't have to perform an invasive procedure.
Epiphany: You sound like Dr. Scorpio.
Patrick: If you're implying that I would compromise my patient to make points with Robin, you're wrong. My personal situation has no effect on my professional judgment.
Epiphany: I was going to say that I think that you're making a good call, and if that has anything to do with Dr. Scorpio, then that means that something about your relationship is actually working.
Lulu: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop.
Patrick: It's ok -- epiphany makes it unavoidable. What can I do for you?
Lulu: I was just wondering if you had Logan's test back.
Patrick: I'll have them tomorrow, but I don't expect any change.
Lulu: So there's no way to know how long he'll be in a coma?
Patrick: The longer Logan stays in the coma, the more concerned we get. At this point, he's in an acceptable margin for recovery.
Lulu: You lost me.
Patrick: People have been in a coma as long as Logan and made a full recovery.
Lulu: Ok, so what are the odds?
Patrick: I'm not a bookie, but I think they're pretty good.
Lulu: Ok. Sometimes I talk to him and I think that he's going to wake up, and then I -- I think that I've just been imagining it. You know, when you talk to someone for hours, your mind starts playing tricks on you.
Patrick: That's why you need to take a break. Go home, get some rest, come back the next day, but most of all, just keep talking to him --
Robin: Did Bobbie take Michael Corinthos home?
Epiphany: Oh, they left about 10 minutes ago.
Lulu: I'm sorry. Uh -- Michael Corinthos is here, is he ok?
Robin: Just some cuts and bruises, but he's incredibly fortunate, considering.
Lulu: Considering what? Wait, why did Bobbie have to take him home? Where's Carly?
Robin: Michael and Carly were in the old cannery downtown when it exploded. Michael got out, but as far as I know, they haven't found Carly yet.
Lulu: Oh, my god, I have to go.
Robin: Hey, about what happened --
Patrick: I put my head trauma on some medication. Here's the file if you want to look over it, if you have any recommendations.
Mac: We got fire units inside looking for victims. There's a lot of debris to be cleared, but they're doing a good job.
Trevor: Commissioner, you should never have allowed Johnny Zacchara to go back into that building.
Mac: He wanted to look for his sister.
Trevor: So you permit any normal citizen to wander around in a danger zone without sending in your cops and your firefighters?
Alexis: Is there a problem, Mr. Lansing?
Trevor: Yes, there is a problem. My client was in an explosion, and he's probably in shock. I want you to send some cops and firefighters in there to get him out.
Mac: Our focus is on evacuating the people who can't get out on their own.
Alexis: I'll handle this, Mac.
Mac: Be my guest.
Trevor: Ms. Davis, if Johnny doesn't come out of that alive, I'm going to sue this whole damn town.
Alexis: A reasonable argument can be made that Zacchara assumed his own risk when he chose to re-enter the building. Do you have any idea what he and his sister were doing there?
Trevor: Absolutely not.
Alexis: Were you in there at the time of the explosion?
Trevor: I was alone.
Alexis: In an abandoned cannery?
Trevor: I came here to do business with my son.
Alexis: It's a coincidence, then, that Zacchara and his sister and Sonny Corinthos were all on the premises?
Trevor: Yeah, pure coincidence.
Alexis: Two of your clients and a major business rival were all in that building at the time of the explosion? You were there, too, although you say it was unrelated. I don't know. If -- if I were defending someone who came up with that kind of excuse, I would advise them to plead out.
Trevor: Don't grandstand with me, Ms. Davis. Johnny Zacchara's life is at stake, and your cops are not doing anything to find him!
Alexis: Claudia Zacchara is a client of yours, why aren't you more concerned?
Trevor: Because John is like a son to me!
Alexis: Right -- then I pity him more than I already did.
Trevor: Listen, your opinion doesn't mean anything to me, and if you continue to harass me, I'm going to bring you up on charges in front of the state judiciary committee in a New York second.
Alexis: Excuse me.
Alexis: Marianna, I'm Alexis Davis, do you remember me? We met -- I'm Ric's ex-wife?
Marianna: Yeah, I remember.
Alexis: You were in the building when it exploded?
Marianna: Yes.
Alexis: Were you alone?
Marianna: Ric was with me.
Alexis: Where is he?
Marianna: We got separated -- he's still inside.
Ric: Ok, come here. One --
[Ric grunts]
Jax: Carly! Hey!
Jax: Carly? Carly? Carly?
Jerry: Jax? There you are. It sounds like you could use some help, little brother.
Jax: Yeah, Carly was in here with Michael. He got out, but she didn't.
Jerry: Yeah, Alexis told me.
Jax: Yeah? She called you?
Jerry: No, no, but I wish you had.
Jax: Well, I suppose now that you're here, I could use your help. There aren't enough firefighters to search for Carly, and she could be hurt -- she could lose the baby.
Jerry: Well, there's no point in standing here and thinking the worst.
Jax: Sonny's looking for her, too. I don't even care if he finds her first.
Jerry: Well, let's be productive. The firefighters must be looking at the west side of the building. Let's try the east and work our way back -- come on, let's go.
Jax: Ok, ok, come on.
Sonny: Carly! Carly?
Sonny: Huh --
[Sonny coughs]
Sonny: You got to be here.
Sonny: I got your phone. It's got to be yours. Whew. Car--
[Debris shifts]
Sonny: Ok, Carly -- ok, listen to me! It's going to be a little while because we got to get this stuff off.
Robin: Hey. Do you have a minute?
Patrick: Not if it's going to be another no-win conversation where you get to tell me once again I'm nothing but a sperm donor.
Robin: If I said that, I was overcompensating because --
Patrick: "If," Robin? I thought we loved each other, which means we should be honest with each other -- which is why I told you the truth. I didn't want to be a father, but it happened -- by accident. It kind of took the decision out of my hands. Now, the baby you're carrying is part of me, and I get to have a reaction, whether you like it or not.
Robin: Ok, I realized something tonight. I'm the biggest hypocrite that ever drew breath. And I'm sorry.
Jax: Carly!
Jerry: No, no, not that way, no.
Jax: But we have to search every inch of this place, Jerry.
Jerry: No, no, no, you're heading towards the machine room, and it's locked up. There's no way Michael and Carly could've gotten inside. We need to concentrate on areas where Michael could've accessed on his own, come on.
Jax: You seem to know a lot about the layout of this cannery.
Jerry: I've been here once or twice.
Jax: Yeah? You just happened to be in the neighborhood to watch it burn, too, huh?
Jerry: I saw the fire from my hotel room and came here to investigate like any other normal human being.
Jax: Well, since you know so much about this place, Jerry, maybe you can tell me why it blew up.
[Jerry coughs]
Mac: Inside.
Alexis: Ric's in there, too.
Mac: So Trevor Lansing was telling the truth?
Alexis: No, he wasn't telling the truth. Marianna is a friend of his, she said she was with him during the explosion, they got separated.
Mac: I'll notify the captain.
Trevor: So, Marianna, you show up?
Marianna: Not that you care, but your son is still inside.
Trevor: What did you do, desert him?
Marianna: Go to hell.
Trevor: Was he breathing before you left him?
Marianna: He's fine, he wanted me to go.
Trevor: Then why did he stay inside?
Marianna: Just leave me alone.
Trevor: No, no, no, no. You are going to tell me what happened to my son.
[Ric pants]
Ric: Whew.
Lulu: Excuse me, uh, Detective Harper? I -- I heard my cousin Carly was caught in the cannery when it exploded. Have you found her?
Det. Harper: Not that I know of. We are in radio contact with the firefighters who are searching. But so far, there's only been one girl rescued so far, and that's --
Johnny: Lulu?
Sonny: It's just going to take me a little while longer. You're going to be ok, I'll -- I'll get you out. Hey -- ah -- you're going to be ok, Carly.
[Claudia moans]
[Claudia groans]
Claudia: Oh -- oh. Oh -- oh -- is my brother ok?
Singer: Hold your breath they won't stop me no consequence regain control don't sweat it's almost over we're shutting down
>> On the next "general hospital" --
Patrick: Why do you hate me so much?
Claudia: You're just going to leave me here to bleed to death?
Jax: We have to go back in.
Alexis: No!
Jax: She needs me.
[Splash]
Mar 18, 2008 10:09
Robin: I should've told you it was your baby the moment I found out I was pregnant.
Patrick: Do you expect me to argue?
Robin: You have every right to be angry with me.
Patrick: Don't give me permission to feel, Robin. Help me to try to understand. You wanted this baby more than anything, so why do you hate me so much for making it with you?
Lulu: God, where have you been? I thought that something terrible had happened -
Sonny: Can you move?
Claudia: I think so.
Sonny: Then you better get up, because I'm not going to hold this long. Ah.
Claudia: Wait -- where's John? John -- is he ok?
Sonny: He was fine last time I saw him.
Claudia: Wait, where are you going? You're just going to leave me here to bleed to death?
Sonny: Ok, I saved your life, you handle the rest.
Claudia: No, no, no.
Singer: I would lie if it would make you want me push and shove until you love me don't just stand there watching
Singer: Don't just stand there watching don't just stand there watching
Carly: Ah!
Robin: In my heart I always -- I wanted to have your baby, but you said you didn't want to be a father, so I thought it would be best if you just didn't know.
Patrick: You didn't lie to me to protect me. You lied to shut me out.
Robin: I know that's how it seems, ok? But I realize that you can't - you can't lie about a child for your own convenience, not because you justified to yourself that the father would be better off not knowing or the child would be better off not knowing who the father is.
Patrick: See, Robin, I didn't want a baby in the abstract -- when your pregnancy was still a hypothetical -- and you took that as a chance to never tell me that it was my baby in the first place.
Robin: Look, I know I made a mess of this. And -- and it's so ironic, because out of all people -- I mean, I should know the damage that comes from lying about a child. I had a front-row seat when Carly and Jason were lying about Michael I mean, to go even further back, when my mom lied to my dad about me -- and he didn't even know about me for the first six years of my life. My mom was wrong. Carly was wrong. And now, you know, it's -- it's my child, it's a baby that's growing inside of me, a baby that you said you didn't want, and so I lied, and I was wrong. And I'm sorry, and I -- I mean, I'm trying to undo it, but I'm just obviously making a mess of that, too.
Patrick: Ok -- hey, hey, just calm down. You're having a little mood swing, I think.
Robin: You think?
Patrick: Just -- here, sit down for a sec.
[Robin sighs]
Robin: When I came to you the night of Georgie's funeral, I just felt hopeless. You know, her death was like confirmation that nothing good ever lasts, so I needed to be with you. I needed to be with -- with you, because when we were in love, I remembered what it was like to be happy. And that was when we made our child. And I'm so thankful for that, I'm so grateful to you. Because, you know, whatever happens, you have given me the greatest gift that I will ever receive.
Patrick: "I'm glad to be the father of your baby." That was my initial thought when I figured it out. That we'll always be connected because we made a child together.
Robin: And I thought you were just angry with me for not telling you.
Patrick: Are you kidding me? I was furious. I was terrified, I was thrilled and awed, but I was confused. I still am.
Robin: Well, don't take this the wrong way, but you sound just like an expectant father.
Sonny: Did you see Carly tonight?
Sonny: Well, you came in through a different direction, so did you hear or see anything?
Claudia: Uh -- just your no-necks holding my brother at gunpoint.
Sonny: Is this your phone?
Claudia: Are you telling me the truth -- is my brother ok?
Claudia: Why?
Sonny: Because if not, it's Carly's. That means she's close by.
Claudia: It's mine.
Sonny: Oh -- so you just -- you heard me yelling for her?
Claudia: It was very sweet.
Sonny: So you just laid there, while I was yelling for Carly thinking it -- it was her, and it wasn't -
Claudia: John?
Sonny: And it was you?
Claudia: I thought you were going to leave me buried there.
Sonny: Now we'll never know.
Claudia: Hey, how do I -
Sonny: Stop grabbing me.
Claudia: Get out of here?
Sonny: That way.
Claudia: Bastard. John?
Trevor: Why were you both in the cannery?
Marianna: Personal reasons.
Trevor: Personal, huh? For the last time, did you ever try to get Richard to sign over those deeds to the properties to me?
Marianna: He's your son. He could be trapped or dying in there.
Trevor: You know, you better hope that he doesn't. Because if he does, I have no longer any need for you.
Marianna: Oh -
Trevor: This is your last chance. You better be here for him when he comes out. And you better tell him to get rid of those properties, sign them over to me, because this building -- it almost killed him.
Alexis: So what do we got? Who's still missing that we know of?
Det. Harper: Ric Lansing, Carly Jacks, and Claudia Zacchara haven't been seen since the explosion, and we still have three civilians on the inside -- Sonny Corinthos --
Det. Harper: Jasper and Jerry Jacks, and -
Alexis: Two of them have just been accounted for, let me know what you hear.
Alexis: You all right?
Jax: Any sign of Carly?
Alexis: Not yet, I'm sorry.
Jax: We have to go back in there.
Alexis: No! The firefighters are taking care of it, there's nothing you can do. The two of you are just getting in the way.
Jerry: No, no, we made it a point to avoid the intrepid rescue personnel.
Alexis: Could you stop with the witty remarks for two seconds and try to save your brother from killing himself?
Jax: I'm not going to kill myself, ok? I'm going to look for my wife.
Alexis: No, you're not. The firefighters are doing their job, there's nothing you can do.
Jax: But Carly could be -- Carly could be running around in there looking for Michael. She doesn't know that he's already out here, or she's too badly hurt to move herself. Either way, she needs me, ok?
Alexis: Please don't make me do this.
Jax: What are you talking about?
Alexis: Harper? I need two officers over here.
Jax: You can't stop me from looking for my wife!
Alexis: Guard these two. I don't want them off the premises, I don't want them in that building.
Det. Harper: Don't let these two in the building. If they resist, arrest them.
Jax: This has the potential to go really badly for you, Alexis, and if something happens to Carly, I'm not sure I can forgive you.
Alexis: You can blame me all you want, at least you'll be alive.
Jax: This is absurd, I'm going back in there.
Jerry: No, no, no, we can't do anything, we can't do it. We don't have the equipment, the fire's getting out of control. It would be stupid to -- to die looking for Carly while she's coming out the other entrance.
Lulu: Where have you been? Why are you here?
Johnny: I was in the building with my sister and Sonny when the place blew up.
Lulu: This doesn't make sense, Carly was supposed to be in there, too.
Johnny: Yeah, well, I found her kid Michael. I took him around the other side -- he was buried under a pile of rubble and -
Lulu: You're the one who saved Michael?
Johnny: Well, I heard him yelling, so I dug him out. I'm sorry, I tried looking for your cousin, but there wasn't time. The roof was burning, and I had to get Michael out someplace safe.
Lulu: But the fire crews are -- are looking for Carly?
Johnny: Yeah, everybody's looking for Carly, nobody's looking for my sister except for me. Excuse me. Excuse me.
Officer: Hmm?
Johnny: Has a woman been evacuated -- Claudia Zacchara? She's 5'6", dark hair, dark jacket, black pants?
Officer: So far, we've only evacuated one woman, a Marianna Erosa.
Johnny: Thank you.
Officer: Mm-hmm.
Johnny: All right, I got to go look for my sister, but you may be able to find Carly -
Lulu: No, no, the firefighters are doing it, you don't have to go back inside.
Johnny: Lulu, she's my sister.
Lulu: I know it's -- I know it's very hard to wait, but we can wait together. You don't know your sister very long, but I'm sure she's capable of taking care of herself -- while you were stuck with your father, that's exactly what she was doing.
Johnny: You don't know what you're talking about.
Lulu: I'm just worried about you.
Johnny: Ok, you don't understand how my family works, ok, but I have to go find her.
Sonny: Carly! Where are you? If you're here -
Sonny: Damn it, Carly. Whew.
Jason: Not going to make it.
Carly: Watch me. Ahem.
Carly: Ah.
Carly: Oh -
Ric: Hello? Hello, are you all right?
Ric: Carly?
Ric: Carly? Agh -- Carly! Hang on, hang on, I'm coming for you.
Ric: Oh! Oh. Oh. Oh. Carly, hang on. Hang on, I'm going to get you out of here. Oh -- oh -
Ric: Hang on, hang on.
Ric: Come on, here we go. All right, come on.
Ric: Come on.
Claudia: Johnny?
Claudia: John? Agh --
Johnny: Claudia?
Johnny: Claudia!
Claudia: Thank --
Claudia: Hey.
Johnny: Keep talking.
Claudia: I'm over here.
Johnny: Hey. Oh, my god. Hey.
Claudia: Agh -
Johnny: How bad are you hurt?
Claudia: I got a little -
Johnny: Come on.
Claudia: I cut my side. I -- I think it's ok. It's not serious, but it hurts like a mother. Agh! How are you -- are you ok?
Johnny: I'm fine.
Claudia: Hmm. Kind of a big explosion, huh?
Johnny: Tell me you had nothing to do with this?
Claudia: Hey -- I wouldn't risk your life, not for anything --
Claudia: Not even to blow up Sonny Corinthos.
Johnny: Yeah, well, he's still alive.
Claudia: I know --
Claudia: He's the one who pulled me out of a pile.
Johnny: And then what, he just left you here bleeding?
Claudia: He doesn't like me much. Hmm -- the feeling's mutual. All right, how do we get out of here?
Johnny: The south entrance. Come on.
Claudia: All right, I can walk, I can walk.
Johnny: Come on, just let someone help you for once.
Claudia: Ok.
Ric: Carly? Carly, can you hear me? Carly!
Ric: Ok. Oki need you to -- somebody, we need help here! I need you to breathe for me.
Ric: Come on. Come on, breathe. Breathe! That's it, that's it! Ok --
[Carly coughs]
Ric: Hey!
Fireman: Ok, what do you got?
Ric: A woman, she fell in the -
Fireman: Here.
Ric: Water.
Fireman: How long ago did you find her?
Ric: Just now -- I just pulled her out.
Fireman: Ok. We need paramedics and a stretcher at the northeast side of the cannery. We got a woman -- mid 30s, depressed respiration, possibly suffering from hypothermia. You know her name?
Ric: Carly Jacks.
Fireman: Ok, you have to go. The ceiling's about to cave in.
Ric: No, I'm not going anywhere, I'm staying with her.
Singer: In love bittersweet with the man I'm reeling from did you think you'd get away? Come back here, boy did you think you could have it all and leave? Uh-uh oh, oh, oh, oh turn-turn-turn-turn it up I'll make it louder I'll make it harder until you can't take it uh-oh, but I might take you down turn it up I'll make it louder turn it up I'll make it harder turn it up until you can't take it go home, but I might take you down
Sonny: Excuse me? Can I -- I just got to talk to you for a second.
Alexis: I'm glad you're here, I'm glad you're all right. What were you doing in there?
Sonny: Any word on Carly?
Alexis: Yeah, she's all right. They're going in there with a stretcher and they're going to take her out.
Sonny: How long ago did they leave? I -- I want to go with them.
Alexis: I'm going to say the same thing to you that I just said to Jax and Jerry -- you're not going in there, because if you do, you're going to endanger a firefighter's life, who's going to risk his life trying to take your ass out of there.
Sonny: Why are you lecturing me now?
Alexis: It's the only thing I can think to do to distract you at such late notice.
Sonny: I just -- I want to go back in. Can you let me do that?
Alexis: First, give me a preliminary statement. I understand that you were having sort of a mob conference in there? Yeah, yeah -- you and Claudia and Johnny Zacchara were all in there together. What were you talking about?
Jax: This is taking too long.
Jerry: It only feels that way. The paramedics know what they're doing. They're going to bring Carly as fast, as safely as possible.
Jax: You swear to me that you had nothing to do with this.
Jerry: Oh, come on --
Jax: Swear to me, Jerry!
Jerry: I might've done a lot of bad things, but not this time, ok?
Jax: So what do you think, there was another attempt on Sonny's life?
Jerry: I don't know. Whoever wanted to kill Sonny proved that, you know, they didn't do a very good job at it.
Jax: Why?
Jerry: Well, judging from the blast pattern, there were two or three linked charges. If they had been positioned properly, it would've taken the whole building down. But as it goes, it only blew out a few windows and set the roof on fire.
Jax: So you're saying the bomber was incompetent?
Jerry: Thank god, otherwise Carly might not have survived.
Sonny: I did not know Carly and Michael were in the building. I would never put them in danger, you know --
Ric: Come on! Come on, we're almost there, keep fighting! Keep fighting, you hear me?
Jax: Carly?
Ric: Come on!
Jax: What happened? What happened?
Ric: She was in the water. She may have hypothermia.
E.M.T.: We need some patient information.
Jax: I'm her husband, I can tell you anything you need.
E.M.T.: Does she have any pre-existing conditions?
Jax: She's pregnant.
E.M.T.: How long?
Jax: Less than two months. Other than that, she's in perfect health.
E.M.T.: We're set for transport.
Jax: I want to ride with her, ok, I want to go with her?
E.M.T.: Yes.
Jax: Hey, I'm right here. Carly, I'm right here.
Sonny: Ric? You found her?
Ric: Yeah.
Sonny: You probably saved her life.
Robin: What have you got for me, Epiphany?
Epiphany: Cubicle two -- a victim from the cannery explosion. She has a laceration on her right abdomen and needs stitches.
Robin: If the victim is Carly, you might want to have another doctor look at her.
Epiphany: It's Claudia Zacchara.
Robin: Oh, wonderful -- a woman from another mob family. Ms. Zacchara, I'm Dr. Scorpio. I understand you were in an explosion tonight?
Claudia: Hmm, yeah.
Robin: Ok, well, I'm going to give you an exam. If you'd like to wait outside?
Claudia: Actually, I want someone to look at my little brother first because he was in the explosion, too. He could have a concussion or something -- see that?
Robin: Ok, talk to the desk nurse, she'll put you on the waiting list.
Claudia: No, no, no, no, no, my brother isn't going on some stupid list.
Johnny: Claudia, I'm fine. Just let the doctor do her job and sew you up, ok ?
Claudia: Oh --
Robin: I need to take a look at your wound. Hmm.
Claudia: Ow!
Robin: You're going to need stitches.
Claudia: Well, get to it.
Patrick: Is Dr. Scorpio with a patient? I got some test results I want her to take a look at.
Kelly: I just got a call that Carly Jacks is en route. Paramedics say she was recovered from the water, her vitals are depressed. I need trauma one prepped to treat her for hypothermia. I want a team standing by.
Epiphany: Dr. Scorpio's in cubicle two -- simple laceration, it shouldn't take her too long.
Robin: I will administer a topical anesthetic, give you stitches, and have you admitted overnight for observation. Now, before I begin the procedure, you should know that I'm H.I.V. positive.
Claudia: You have H.I.V.?
Robin: That's right.
Claudia: Ok --
Robin: But --
Claudia: I don't want you touching me, I don't want you treating me.
Robin: Ok, that is your prerogative, of course, but you should know that, statistically speaking --
Claudia: I don't care about statistics. They should've told me that you were sick before they let you come in here.
Patrick: Dr. Scorpio isn't sick. In fact, she takes every precaution to maintain her health.
Claudia: Good, so do I -- that's why I don't want her touching me.
Robin: I'll have the desk nurse find you another doctor.
Patrick: You should take the time to educate yourself, you might sound less like an ignorant bigot.
Claudia: Yeah, would you want her infecting you or somebody you cared about?
Patrick: She would never risk infecting anyone -- I know this because she's carrying my baby.
Claudia: Maybe you need to read a pamphlet.
Ric: I was making my way to the north entrance, and that's when I saw Carly.
Ric: Her head and -- and arm were resting on a cross brace, and thank god, otherwise I don't think I would've seen her. I pulled her out of the water, and that's when the firefighters showed up.
Det. Harper: What were you doing in the cannery prior to the explosion?
Ric: I own the building, ok? I was -- I was just walking through it with a friend.
Det. Harper: That would be Ms. Erosa?
Ric: That's correct.
Det. Harper: Were you aware there was anyone else in the building besides yourself?
Ric: No.
Det. Harper: Do you have any idea what caused the explosion?
Ric: No, none whatsoever.
Det. Harper: All right, at the moment you entered the building, did you --
Ric: All right, look, detective, really, I -- Alexis, I don't -- I honestly don't know any more.
Alexis: Thank you. You've been very thorough. Good job. I think that if Mr. Lansing has anything else to add, he'll come down to the PCPD and answer questions, yes?
Ric: Yeah, absolutely.
Det. Harper: Your call.
Alexis: Thank you. He's a little overzealous --
Alexis: Well-meaning, though.
Ric: Thanks.
Sonny: Ric? I'm just curious. What -- what were you really doing in the cannery?
Ric: I was there for reasons that have nothing to do with you, Sonny -- and, no, I didn't set the bombs, ok? I was trying to -- do something good with that place, all right, not blow it up.
Sonny: Something just doesn't -- it doesn't add up. I don't know why.
Ric: Of course, because you want an excuse to keep on hating me.
Sonny: I don't need an excuse, because I know what you did, and I'm not going to forget that. But the truth is you saved Carly's life, and I owe you for that.
Marianna: What just happened?
Ric: Oh, you know, what usually happens with me and my brother. Even his thanks sounds hostile.
Ric: It's ok, though. I don't care because I got other priorities.
E.M.T.: Respiration is depressed, B.P. is 70/30.
Jax: She has hypothermia, she was in the water, and she's freezing to death.
Epiphany: Mr. Jacks, we're going to do everything we can for your wife. I need you to wait out here, ok?
Kelly: Ok, let's move on three. One, two, three -
E.M.T.: Patient's unresponsive with a weak pulse and minimal respiratory effort.
Kelly: Pupils are even and reactive, patient responds to painful stimuli, no indication of internal bleeding. Run a line through a warmer and prep for a lavage.
Singer: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh but I might take you down I'll make it louder I'll make it harder
Jason: Let's see if I can jump this like the old days.
Singer: But I might take you down turn it up I'll make it louder turn it up I'll make it harder turn it up until you can't take it

Lulu: How's Carly?
Jax: Well, they're treating her for hypothermia.
Lulu: Well, that's not that bad, right?
Jax: Well --
Lulu: Jax?
Jax: She has a hard time breathing on her own, and they can barely get her pulse.
Lulu: Carly's not going to die.
Jax: Well, everyone dies if they're hurt bad enough.
Lulu: I know what you're doing. Jax, you're sitting here and you're thinking about what it would be like to lose Carly. But you can't prepare yourself for how it would feel to lose someone you love, and it's a waste of time trying. You can't think of all the reasons that Carly has to die. You have to think of the reasons that she has to live.
Kelly: Carly's breathing on her own.
Jax: Oh --
Kelly: Her vitals are still depressed, and her body temperature is still dangerously low. Now, raising it is a delicate process -- we don't want to give Carly a stroke.
Jax: Ok. Can I see her?
Kelly: Yeah, I'll let you know when she's stabilized, ok?
Jax: Ok. Huh. Yeah, she's a fighter. Thanks for reminding me of that.
Lulu: Oh, I was reminding myself, too.
Jax: Are you looking for someone?
Lulu: Johnny Zacchara.
Jax: Oh. Well, he was here earlier. I think he's upstairs -- they took his sister to a room.
Lulu: Well, I'm going to go find him -- unless you want me to stay here?
Jax: No, no, no. It's ok, go.
Lulu: Ok.
Jax: See ya.
Ric: Police give you any problems?
Marianna: No. I told them I was with you when the cannery exploded, and we got separated when we were trying to find our way out.
Ric: Ok, ok, good, good.
Marianna: And Randy -- did you leave him inside?
Ric: Everything's fine, shh. I took care of it.
Marianna: Ok. Well, thank god you didn't listen to me.
Marianna: You know, if you had, you wouldn't have found that woman.
Ric: Yeah, I guess the chance to save Carly proves that I'm doing the right thing, huh?
Jerry: Should I be jealous?
Alexis: No, you should not.
Jerry: Oh? So there are no residual feelings about your unsavory ex?
Alexis: No, that -- that is not the point. You could be jealous like we had an ongoing relationship, which we don't.
Jerry: Oh, I happen to be very attached to you.
Alexis: This could be the second-most inappropriate time that you've chosen to flirt with me.
Jerry: Then pick a better time and a better place, and we'll call it a date.
Ric: Is it bad?
Marianna: No, it's good. You shouldn't be out here.
Ric: Yeah, I'm ready to go home -- only if you're going to go with me.
Marianna: On one condition -- you let me take care of you.
[Marianna giggles]
Ric: Ok, come on.
Jerry: There you go again. I mean, how can you be fascinated by someone who treats you like dirt?
Alexis: "Treated" -- past tense. He's started over with the help of his friend Marianna, I think.
Jerry: Yeah, how nice for them.
Alexis: Maybe, maybe not. I saw her talking to Trevor Lansing. I think there's a connection there -- that would be very bad for Ric.
Robin: Ugh, warning -- there's another mood swing in progress.
Patrick: Is it grounds for malpractice to have a healthy patient's stomach pumped?
Robin: Tell me you didn't do that?
Patrick: No, but I might. Claudia's still on the eighth floor, and after her stomach being pumped, I'm going to give her a free colonoscopy.
Robin: You cannot end prejudice by punishing those who are ignorant.
Patrick: No, not everyone, just that intolerant bitch.
Robin: Oh -- oh. You know, I know that I shouldn't let it get to me -- except for the fact that there is a 2% chance -- ok, it's only a 2% chance -- that I could pass on H.I.V. to my baby. And as much as that scares me, it scares me even more that someday my child could be treated the same way that Claudia treated me tonight.
Patrick: Robin, there's a 98% certainty that our baby won't have H.I.V. Those are dream numbers. That's -- that's better than any surgeon could ever promise -- even me. But if our baby is -- if our baby is part of that 2%, they're going to have you to teach them how to live with H.I.V. and when some idiot like Claudia comes around and insults them, they're going to shrug it off because they saw their mom do the same thing.
Robin: Can I just say you picked a perfect time to be wonderful?
Sonny: Guess again. My son and his mother were almost killed tonight. I want to know who caused the explosion.
Claudia: It wasn't me.
Sonny: Trevor was there at the cannery -- did you know that?
Sonny: Somehow he knew about the meeting. Maybe he set the bomb -- which means you almost got your precious little brother killed.
Claudia: I would never hurt my brother, shut up!
Sonny: Did you tell him or not?
Claudia: Get out! Get out! Leave me alone!
Johnny: Hey -- hey, who's in charge now, big boy, huh?
Johnny: How does it feel to take the beating, huh? How does it feel when somebody else has the gun?
Sonny: Ugh!
Johnny: You're going to apologize to my sister. You're going to say "I'm sorry, Miss Zacchara, if I offended you, I'm a filthy piece of garbage who never should've put his hands on you in the first place"!
[Gun cocks]
Johnny: Say it now.
Claudia: John, it's ok, I don't want an apology.
Johnny: I'd blow your pathetic head off right now, but I don't want the hassle of a murder trial.
Johnny: I'm going to burn down your life, and when you're crying in the ashes, I'm going to squash you like the cockroach that you are.
Johnny: Just try to get some rest -- he won't be back.
Claudia: He's a dangerous man, John. You just humiliated him, he's going to be out for blood.
Johnny: Sonny's got a lot more to lose than I do, and I'm going to take it away from him piece by piece.
Claudia: That's the John I remember. You seem so quiet, but your temper's even worse than mine is.
[Monitor beeps]
Jax: She's still really pale.
Kelly: We're slowly raising her body temperature.
Jax: What about the baby?
Kelly: Well, there's no indication that Carly suffered a miscarriage. But at this point, our priority is stabilizing her.
Jax: Yeah, yeah, Carly's most important. But if you can save them both --
Kelly: We're doing everything possible.
Jax: Ok. Hey, Carly, we're all here. All three of us -- you, me, and the baby. The baby's ok. So you just got to make up your mind to fight, ok? You got to hang in there. Just hang in there.
[Alarm]
Jax: What's -- what's happening?
Kelly: Mr. Jacks, you have to leave.
Epiphany: Excuse me, Mr. Jacks.
Jax: What -- did she stop breathing?
Singer: In your dreams so, goodbye
[Song ends]
Patrick: You want a ride home?
Robin: No, I can drive.
Patrick: I'll just drop you off in front of your building, I won't even walk up to your door.
Robin: Huh. You know, I don't know what's more annoying about morning sickness -- the false expectation that it can only happen in the morning, or that it strikes when you least expect it.
Patrick: I hear it's only the first three months, so, hey, you're halfway there.
Robin: Easy for you to say. Hmm -- maybe I will take that ride.
Patrick: Good. Just give me fair warning in case I have to pull over? Baby or no baby, I don't want you puking in the car.
Lulu: Maybe Johnny has a split personality and -- and one part of him doesn't know that the other part is there. Or is this the real Johnny, and that the kind, loving guy is -- is an act, something that he does for me? My god, what is wrong with me? What is wrong with me? Why can't I just admit he is -- is crazy and -- and move on?
[Monitor chimes]
Lulu: Logan? Logan --
Claudia: I didn't think it bothered you.
Johnny: What?
Claudia: The way Sonny talks to me -- and you said that you didn't care if he did me on the living room floor.
Johnny: It's a nice rug. I cared -- I do -- I just didn't want to show it. How could you even consider being with a man like that?
Claudia: What if I said, "I thought it'd make it harder for him to kill you"? I thought I could work him, John. I couldn't -- not like I thought. I'm sorry, I should never have let him take you.
Johnny: It's not your fault.
Claudia: No, it is. Do you remember when you were little, and I said, "I'll never let anybody hurt you"? Do you remember? And you got such big hands now, but I remember when you needed help climbing up the stairs. And I had to open doors for you and get things down from cupboards because you were just a midget.
Claudia: And when you'd get scared, you'd come and climb in my bed, and I'd tell you not to be afraid.
Johnny: I remember.
Claudia: And when you'd fall asleep, you'd just lay there, and I'd listen to you breathe. That's the only time that I ever felt loved. That is the only time I ever felt needed. I didn't want to leave, John. I hate them for making me leave you.
Johnny: I missed you.
Sonny: Whew. How's Carly, Jax?
Jax: What do you think -- she's in there fighting for her life. Good job, by the way.
Sonny: I didn't blow up the warehouse, Jax.
Jax: Oh, yeah -- Carly was there because of Michael, Michael was there because of you. I'm not going to put up with this anymore, you stay the hell away from my family.
Sonny: They're also my family.
Jax: I don't give a damn. Carly's my wife. I'm sick of hearing your excuses, get the hell out. Get out.
Kelly: She's in v-fib -- continue bagging and chest compressions, one milligram epi.
Singer: I am milk I am red-hot kitchen
Jason: Game's over, Carly.
Singer: And I am cool
Jason: It's time to go back.
Singer: Cool as the deep-blue ocean I am lost so I am cruel but I'd be love and sweetness if I had you I'm waiting I'm waiting for you I'm waiting
[Carly gasps]
Kelly: She's breathing on her own. Get her blood pressure and continue with the warm fluids.
Singer: I'm waiting for you
Lulu: You could've died. I am so sorry.
Claudia: We'll kill Sonny, but let's be smart about it.
Sam: What if I told you I remember Elizabeth driving that car?
Jax: I thought I lost you.
Carly: Did we lose the baby?
Mar 19, 2008 06:51
Mar 19, 2008 07:06
Mar 21, 2008 08:55
Sam: You're in no position to threaten me. You left me on the side of the road to die.
Elizabeth: You know, I'm not sure what the prison sentence would be for a hit-and-run, but I did a little research of my own, and you could get up to 25 years for aiding and abetting in the kidnapping of my son.
Lulu: I can't do this.
Johnny: Why? What happened?
Lulu: I saw you put a gun to Sonny's head last night.
Sonny: I just got a declaration of war from Johnny Zacchara. He's going to lose.
Milo: Why didn't we finish him when we had him?
Max: Because he didn't kidnap Michael, you stupid idiot.
Sonny: You guys, come on, come on.
Max: Sorry.
Sonny: I need extra security on my children. Zacchara wants blood, and he's not -- going to hurt my family.
Jax: Your family's already hurt, Sonny. It's not because of Johnny Zacchara.
Carly: Oh, God!
Claudia: Okay, calm down. You're not helping anything --
Carly: I need a doctor now!
Jason: Carly --
Carly: Help, Jason! Jason, I'm losing the baby!
Sonny: Okay, you guys get going. Don't let Alexis see you anywhere near Kristina. And just make sure that all the kids are covered.
Max: You got it, boss.
Jax: You know, at what point do you admit to yourself that your security is completely useless?
Sonny: You know what? I called the hospital, Carly's doing better, and I spoke to Michael this morning, and he's happy to be home.
Jax: Carly and Michael barely made it out of the warehouse. Morgan almost lost his brother and his mother, and Carly could've lost the baby.
Sonny: I -- I'm sorry for that, but, you know, life is complicated, and none of us gets off easy.
Jax: Including Kate Howard, who Michael shot. You know, accident or not, he'll be wrestling with that ugly fact for many years to come. No matter how hard you try to cover it up, there comes a time when you need to deal with the fact that you've trashed your boy's life.
Sonny: I'll take care of Michael.
Jax: For God's sakes, Sonny, this isn't a contest between you and me, who's the better daddy, okay? This is a kid's life we're talking about. Don't cover up the truth. Allow Michael to admit to the authorities what he's done.
Sonny: You know what? You may be married to Carly. But you don't make decisions on my kids.
Carly: Oh! It hurts so bad, Jason!
Jason: Just try -- try to breathe, okay? Just breathe, Carly. Carly, just breathe.
Carly: Okay. I don't want to lose --
Kelly: Wait in the hall, both of you. Describe the pain.
Carly: It's -- it's beyond cramps. It's like a sharp, sharp pain.
Kelly: Okay, your blood pressure is very high. Just try to relax, okay?
Carly: You do what you have to do; I just don't want to lose this baby!
Jason: Why -- why were you in there?
Claudia: I wanted to talk to Carly. Don't -- you know, don't look at me like that. I'm not -- standing next to her isn't going to make her lose her baby.
Lulu: I went looking for you. I -- I went to Claudia's room, and you were there, and so was Sonny -- and you had a gun shoved under his chin. Why?
Johnny: That's how my business works.
Lulu: You threaten someone's life and you call it "business"?
Johnny: What more do you want?
Lulu: I don't know -- how about an explanation? What did Sonny do?
Johnny: I will not help you justify what I do.
Lulu: I can't believe that you would actually kill Sonny. I mean, it -- you were worried about your sister, right, and -- and the explosion, and -- and you lost your temper and you made some threats. But that crazy, vicious guy isn't who you really are.
Scott: You are absolutely right. Why would you be like me? I didn't raise you, I wasn't around. But I'm just trying to pass something on to you, okay, because I've been down this road before. To love a girl, and if she doesn't love you back the same way, it'll destroy you -- especially your spirit -- one piece at a time.
Logan: Well, you know, I'm sorry that happened to you, okay, but that's -- that's got nothing to do with me and Lulu.
Scott: Well, I'm just seeing the signs, that's all. Because you know what? I played second fiddle to a fool for most of my life. I Did not deserve to have the girl that I was in love with, and I kept thinking that she was going to see him for who he was, but she never did. And it ate me up with anger, and eventually, I took it out on her. Looks like you're going down that road. I would make a U-turn. Don't let Lulu destroy your life, because she will.
Sam: You have no proof that I was anywhere near Jake when he was kidnapped, let alone that I watched it happen.
Elizabeth: And did nothing. Don't forget how you did nothing.
Sam: Okay, I -- I suppose the jury would take the word of the kidnapper herself -- unstable, unbalanced Maureen? I wonder if they would let her out of the institution long enough to testify.
Elizabeth: I don't think it's going to be very hard to find those two men who threatened me and the boys in the park.
Sam: What two men?
Elizabeth: I can call Amelia Joffe. She's not your producer anymore, right, so she has no reason to protect you? She and Jason both know what you did, and I'm sure they'll be more than happy to tell it in a court of law.
Sam: Fine, great. Let the truth come out -- especially the part where Jason is Jake's father. Leave it to you to put your son in danger to save your own skin.
Sam: I thought you were all about keeping Jake safe. He is your excuse for everything -- for manipulating Jason and Lucky, for getting your own way, playing victim.
Elizabeth: I'm nobody's victim.
Sam: But you do not want the world to know that Jake is Jason's son because it's too dangerous, so this is what you're going to do. You're going to go to the police and you're going to tell them that you hit me with your car and you left me there to die. You will cop a plea.
Elizabeth: You're crazy.
Sam: Okay, fine. Then let the world keep thinking that Lucky is Jake's father and your kids will be safe.
Elizabeth: If I go to jail for hit-and-run, I am going to make sure you pay for what you did.
[Sam sighs]
Elizabeth: At least you won't be able to work Lucky from behind bars.
Sam: Since when do you give a damn about Lucky?
Alexis: Hey. I hope you're here to tell me that your department has found a suspect in the cannery explosion case.
Lucky: I'm working on Sam's hit-and-run again.
Alexis: Good. I thought it was a shame when you took yourself off the case, I'm glad you had a change of heart.
Lucky: Well, she has a long recovery ahead of her, and I just want to help in any way I can.
Alexis: Well, I'm telling you that I can use the help because I am bogged down with this -- with this case, and I'm hoping to God that they find proof that these explosives were not set by Sonny or the Zaccharas.
Lucky: I get why you want to help Sonny, but why do you want to protect the Zaccharas?
Alexis: Because if they decide to start a mob war, it'll be against Sonny, which, in turn, will put Kristina in danger again. Not that I'm not the happiest mother in the world to have given birth to this beautiful child, but what the hell was I thinking having sex with her father? Out of all the men in Port Charles, I had to zero in on the most dangerous one.
[Alexis sighs]
Jax: You knew that Michael was trying to get his hands on a gun and you did nothing.
Sonny: I warned him not to.
Jax: You -- you warned him, but you should've warned me or Carly -- that's what you should've done. Instead you tell a 12-year-old boy that if he defied you, that he should run, and keep on running, and that's exactly what he did -- after he shot your girlfriend.
Sonny: That was an accident and you know that.
Jax: I know it was an accident, but accident or not, there's still a bullet hole in Kate, isn't there? And we're all supposed to just pretend like nothing happened, is that right?
Sonny: Well, he's my son; it's not your call.
Jax: Yeah, look how well that's turning out. You know, his life has been exposed to violence since he was an infant. And maybe you should give him a shot at a life that isn't in your shadow. Wouldn't that be great?
Sonny: I'm betting -- I'm betting that Carly didn't sign off on this conversation, right?
Jax: No, she supports the myth that you're a good father. So prove it -- get Michael care and treatment for the trauma he's been through, and then get out of his life.
Sonny: What Michael needs is me time with his father. He needs to know that he's loved and he's supported, and I'm going to make sure that he knows what he did was wrong, and then he can move on.
Jax: Sounds like you're trying to show him the ropes.
Jax: You're already ruining Michael's life.
Jax: How long is it going to be before you ruin Morgan's? Excuse me. This is Jax. When did that start? I'll be right there.
Sonny: We're not finished. Where are you going?
Jax: I have to take care of my family -- something you should consider.
[Monitor beeps rapidly]
Carly: What are you giving me?
Kelly: It's a mild sedative. It'll calm you down.
Carly: What is happening to me? Am I having a miscarriage?
Kelly: It's not a good sign -- the cramping, Carly -- but just don't jump to conclusions, okay? Your blood pressure needs to be normalized, and then we'll do an ultrasound.
Carly: Well, is there anything else you can give me, any other kind of medication you can give me?
Kelly: Carly -- Carly, you've been under a lot of stress. Okay, it's no surprise that you're having a reaction. Just breathe and stay positive, and take this one step at a time.
Jason: I want you to stay away from Carly.
Claudia: Why are you so hostile? Huh? You sleeping with her?
Jason: What were you doing in there?
Claudia: I was just asking her to use her influence with Sonny.
Jason: And why would she do that?
Claudia: Because of her son and my brother. You know Sonny held Johnny in a mental institution in a padded room for days? Well, when the cannery blew up, Johnny pulled his kid out of the mess, saved his life, so Carly owes Johnny.
Jason: So why isn't Johnny here?
Claudia: You need to tell Sonny to back off. We don't want a war. But if he keeps pushing, that's exactly what he's going to get.
Johnny: The only thing I regret about last night is that there were too many people around for me to pull the trigger on Sonny when I had the chance.
Lulu: Why does anyone have to die? What did Sonny do to you?
Johnny: Sonny wants to take what's mine and I'm not going to let him.
Lulu: It's that important to you?
Johnny: It's finished -- he's come after me for the last time.
Lulu: Walk away. You can do that, Johnny, please.
Johnny: Not anymore. I won't hide, and I won't pretend that there's some way to keep peace.
Lulu: There is always a way.
Johnny: Not with Corinthos. He's going to pay.
Lulu: Well, I can't be with you if you're going to be like this.
Johnny: If that's your choice --
Lulu: No, that is not -- that's not my choice, I hate it! So, please, help me out here, stop this fight before it starts!
Johnny: Sonny started it, but I'm finishing it.
Carly: I'm scared.
Jason: Don't --
Carly: What if I lose the baby?
Jason: Don't scare yourself. Let's think about something good, something that makes you smile.
Carly: I had a dream.
Jason: Okay, that's better - what?
Carly: It was when I was in the water after the explosion. I guess I was hallucinating, but it was about you and me, and we were at Jake's playing pool, and I beat you.
Jason: And that would be a dream.
[Carly chuckles]
Carly: But you have to promise me when I get out of here, you'll take me to Jake's, and I'll beat you for real.
Jason: I'll check in later, okay?
Carly: Yeah.
Jason: Let me know if there's anything I can do.
Jax: Hey -- hey.
Carly: I'm really scared.
Jax: We're not going to lose this baby, we're not.
Lulu: I'm not going to watch you fight some war against Sonny.
Johnny: Then don't.
Lulu: And that would be okay with you, huh, if I just -- if I walked away?
Johnny: You know exactly how I feel about you, but I have to do this.
Lulu: The life that you live is crazy, it drives people crazy -- you've seen it.
Johnny: I'm not my father, Lulu.
Lulu: And I'm not my mother. But I bet you once upon a time they were just like us.
Johnny: Maybe.
Lulu: You think that you know someone, and that all that matters is how you feel. So you look the other way, you -- you let go of everything that you know, every instinct, and you let your heart run your life. And then one day, the man that you love is unrecognizable. That is partially why my mom went crazy, I'm sure of it, and I will not go there.
Johnny: It's your choice.
Lulu: Wow. Well -- well, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry that I -- I made you think that we had a future. I'm sorry.
Claudia: Am I interrupting?
Sonny: Doctor's orders?
Kate: It keeps my mind off unwelcome thoughts.
Sonny: You shouldn't be -- you know, you shouldn't be pushing yourself too hard.
Kate: Um -- excuse me? I could be saying the same thing to you -- heard about a warehouse explosion?
Sonny: I'm fine.
Kate: You're all right?
Sonny: Yeah, I'm fine. How you doing?
Kate: Oh, I'm fine. I mean, physically I'm a little jumpy. Tell me, Sonny, is it easier to know when the bullet is coming, or just when you suddenly find yourself with a bullet hole in your chest?
Sonny: Why do you ask me that?
Kate: Because, Sonny, you've been --
Kate: You've been shot 17 ways till Sunday, right? So I just -- I want to know if every time I hear the door slam or a -- a car backfire, if I'm going to be looking for an exit wound. I mean, if we're going to make a go of this, I -- I would like to be prepared. We are going to make a go of this?
Sonny: I want to. But I got to tell you something first.
Elizabeth: I will always care about Lucky. I want him to be happy, and he never will be happy with you.
Sam: I can see right through you.
Elizabeth: He deserves better than you.
Sam: Hmm. You know, this is not the time to piss me off, because I can still turn you in for hit-and-run.
Elizabeth: But you won't. You can't risk having your own crimes exposed.
Sam: Do you even care that you almost killed me? Does it even matter to you that you left me on the side of the road like a stray dog?
Elizabeth: Sam, it was an accident.
Sam: So, once again, Elizabeth gets off free and clear? One day this will all catch up with you and it'll come crashing down. It won't always be so easy for you -- your lies and manipulations -- and when that happens, I'll be the one standing and cheering.
Claudia: I -- I just wanted to go over some business, but I can come back --
Lulu: We're finished. I have to leave.
Johnny: I know.
Claudia: I don't know what she said to you, but --
Johnny: Let it go.
Claudia: What? John, you could let me help you.
Johnny: Leave it alone, Claudia. We got more important things to think about. Sonny Corinthos needs to die.
Kate: Sonny --
Sonny: Yeah?
Kate: I already know that your job is dangerous, I already know about your night with the cheap -- shoes.
Sonny: Kate, come on, we don't have to --
Kate: I know -- Sonny --
Sonny: Okay, then why do you have to do that?
Kate: I get it, okay? Fine. I mean, you used protection, right?
Sonny: Yes, but it's not about -- I know who shot you.
Kate: Oh. Okay, well, I want you to promise me that you're not going to retaliate, because I --
Sonny: It wasn't -- it -- it was Michael.
Kate: Michael -- your Michael?
Sonny: He bought a gun off the street after Leticia and Emily were killed. He thought it was his job to protect his mother and Morgan.
Kate: Michael shot me?
Sonny: He -- listen. The gun accident-- accidentally went off. He was throwing it in a dumpster, and he dropped it. And then I warned him that if I ever saw him with a gun, he should run, and keep running.
Kate: So he did what his father told him.
Sonny: Well, it was wrong. Every moment, from the beginning to the end, was wrong, but he didn't intend to hurt anyone, especially -- especially not you. You understand, right, because you know Michael cares about you, right?
Kate: What happens now, Sonny?
Sonny: Well, things are heating up, and, you know, I was -- I don't -- my mind worried about you being shot and Michael being kidnapped, and I blamed the Zaccharas and I made a bad judgment call.
Kate: It's not easy to admit you made a mistake, I know.
Sonny: I just have to minimize, you know, as much damage as I can, but, you know, there's going to be more trouble with the Zaccharas, so I'm going to put extra security on you.
Kate: I see.
Sonny: Because I don't want you getting caught in the crossfire.
Kate: But I wasn't caught in the crossfire this time. When I asked "what happens next," Sonny, I meant with Michael.
Sonny: I don't know. But I know he's going to have to say how sorry he is to you.
Kate: And then what? Oh, what, we -- we just let it go because I'm fine, I didn't die?
Sonny: You and Jax have no kids, but you think you have all the answers.
Sonny: No, I mean, it's -- it's true.
Kate: I think he might need some counseling.
Sonny: Well, I don't know, Kate. I mean, you know, I don't know what -- what's going to happen, you know, with my son, but his mother and I are going to figure it out.

Jax: You know, I don't care how big of a fight we have -- I shouldn't have walked out angry. I'm really sorry.
Carly: It's my fault, too. I just got Michael back, and I was just so scared for him. You have to know my instinct is to protect him at all cost, Jax, I can't --
Jax: Let's talk about Michael later, he's okay. This is the little one that we have to protect now.
Carly: I know it's good for the baby to have you here. It's good for me, too. I love you.
Jax: I love you, too. You know, sometimes when I get scared for you, I think it's me being selfish because I just couldn't imagine my life without you.
Carly: It'd be a lot more peaceful, I'm sure.
Jax: Yes, but nowhere near as entertaining.
[Carly laughs]
Jax: You know, my life was quite full before I met you. I was partial to impulse trips to Europe. Now I just enjoy coming home to you for dinner. I love that. I had no idea how much I would love being your husband -- and a stepdad to Michael and Morgan. And I love that you're having my child.
Max: Check that out.
Jason: Hey.
Milo: Welcome back.
Max: How are your hands?
Jason: Healing, thank you.
Max: How long till you make it back to work?
Jason: I can -- I can do what needs to be done. What do we know about the cannery explosion?
Max: Whoever it was, the boss is going to war with the Zaccharas. Ahem.
Diane: Well, hello, Max. I see you're using that tailor I recommended.
Milo: How -- how do you know?
Max: Shut -- shh. Shut up.
Jason: Okay, uh, Diane, are you -- are you here to see Max or -- or me?
Diane: I fail to see what is so egregious about complimenting a fellow employee on their improved appearance.
Max: Thanks, Diane.
Diane: Don't mention it, Max.
Max: Ahem.
Jason: Milo, can you get him -- can you get him out of here?
Milo: Yeah, you got it.
Jason: He's a little distracted right now.
Diane: Oh --
Max: Sorry -- ahem. Bye, Diane. Goodbye.
Diane: Bye.
Jason: Diane?
Diane: What? Oh -- sorry -- ahem. Well, how are you?
Jason: I'm glad to be home.
Diane: And aren't we glad to have you back -- despite this whole Joe Palooka thing you've got going on. Now, you and I have some legal matters to discuss, and I hope that you will take a slightly more rational perspective.
Jason: On what?
Diane: On handling the fallout over Michael shooting Kate.
Diane: Sonny told me that you suspected Michael was the culprit.
Jason: Well, he'd been messing around with guns. He bought some bullets from some punks down on the docks -- Mike caught him.
Diane: Okay, from what I understand, the shooting was entirely accidental. Michael was actually trying to get rid of the gun, trying to throw it away. He dropped it, it went off.
Jason: Mm-hmm.
Diane: He panicked, fled, and apparently was too scared to go home -- poor kid.
Jason: So what's the question?
Diane: Sonny is explaining all of this to Kate right now. Now, she is not a vindictive woman, so I suspect that Kate will not want to cause Michael or Sonny any further grief.
Jason: All right, what about the cops?
Diane: There's no evidence, and there are no witnesses, so this could go on the books as an unsolved crime, which would be very convenient.
Jason: Or what?
Diane: Or Michael could turn himself in. Now, if I can prove that this was an accident, it can be pled down. I can get him mandatory counseling or some type of community service. But the laws are very strict, and in certain cases the court will hold a parent responsible if a juvenile is caught with a firearm. Which means that this whole thing could land on Carly's head because she is the custodial parent.
Jason: Well, then Michael can't turn himself in.
Diane: There's more. Sonny got a little hotheaded when Michael disappeared, and you know he was holding Johnny Zacchara. Well, all hell is about to break loose. Nothing I know for certain -- plausible deniability and all of that -- but Sonny more or less told me to be -- to be prepared to defend some of his hench-- employees, and the police want to talk to you and Sonny in connection with the cannery explosion. Now, I know you were out of town, but Sonny is an entirely --
Jason: We had nothing to do with the explosion.
Diane: I'm sure you didn't, but it's a reasonable assumption.
Jason: Okay, can you -- can you stall them?
Diane: Yes -- that's what you pay me the big retainer for.
Kelly: Much better.
Kelly: Your blood pressure went down.
Jax: When can we do the ultrasound?
Kelly: I'll take care of it now.
Jax: Hey. You know, this time I think I should pick out the color for the nursery.
Carly: Huh. I didn't mean for it to be that horrible green color.
Jax: Well, besides, you're not allowed to smell the paint fumes anyway. You have to stay away from things like that.
Carly: Okay, you can do it all.
Jax: Okay.
Carly: You just have to rub my feet, and I'll eat tons of milk shakes.
Jax: Fruity ones, fruity -- fruity shakes -- lots of fruit in them.
Carly: Whew. You know, I read this article once, where these women who work for the Peace Corps would go to Africa, and they would give prenatal care to women in tribes, but they refused the care. And they thought it was bad luck. Why do you think they would do something like that?
Jax: Years of tradition, I guess. You know, it's human nature to not tempt fate. But we're not going to do that. We're not, because we're going to -- we're going to name this little girl, we're going to talk to her, and play her our favorite songs. And I'm going to read to both of you. I am. And then when she's born, we're just going to keep doing the same. My girls will want for nothing.
Kelly: Let's do that ultrasound.
Jax: You ready?
Sonny: Once Carly gets out of the hospital, we're going to deal with this Michael situation. In the meantime, the -- this stuff going on with my business has taken on momentum, and I -- I meant it when I said I'm going to put extra guards on you.
Kate: No, I can see that.
[Sonny takes folder, drops it on the table]
Sonny: I don't -- I don't want to argue with you about this because I got so much going on already, I don't want to have anything else going on. Do you understand what I'm saying?
Kate: Sonny, we made a promise that we were going to try to love each other without compromising each other's lifestyles.
Sonny: I understand that, but it's easy to say "you can have your life, I can have my life, and at the end of the day, we're going to have dinner." But there's another thing to find yourself on the waterfront with a bullet in your chest.
Kate: Yeah, but your enemies didn't put it there.
Sonny: But they could have. And that's why I want to keep you as safe as I can. It's just -- it's just a little extra security. It doesn't violate your religion or your ethics. It's -- just think of it like -- um -- just like insurance.
Kate: Okay. Fine. But I'm doing it for you, not for me.
Sonny: Oh, well, that's good.
Kate: I mean, I don't want you to go out and do something stupid, get yourself killed.
Sonny: Fine.
Kate: Right?
Sonny: Yeah, yeah, done. Well --
Kate: So if it makes you feel better that I'm safe, then do whatever works.
Sonny: Done.
Kate: I'm only doing it because I love you.
Sonny: You will never have to be worried about getting hurt again because of me.
Claudia: I'm sorry that you had a fight with your girlfriend.
Johnny: Do we have to talk about this now?
Claudia: Who else do you have to listen to you? Seriously, Johnny, unless you're okay with the fact that she just walked out?
Johnny: I always knew she would.
Claudia: Can I ask you something? I mean, you were here in Crimson Point with Daddy, right, and she was in Port Charles. How did you even meet that girl?
Johnny: I used to take my car out at night and drive -- fast.
Claudia: Hmm. Speed is the best distraction.
Johnny: I was just about to turn around when I saw this girl hitchhiking at the side of the road.
Claudia: Oh, so you picked her up -- great.
Johnny: We, I noticed that she had been crying, and she said she had been hurt pretty bad and she just wanted to get out of there and drive. She didn't care where, I didn't care, so we took off, and we left all this crap behind us. So I guess you could say we met by accident.
Claudia: Hmm. You know what I think? I think that when you were on the road with Lulu, you were play-acting at somebody else's life, and you let yourself believe that it was real.
Johnny: No. In the end, I think I always knew that she was going to go. It turns out I was right.
Diane: Knock, knock?
Alexis: Hey. All right, Commissioner, thank you, I'll wait for the files. Well, hi -- oh, shoes.
[Diane giggles]
Diane: Oh, necklace!
Alexis: Oh, this? Yeah, I got this in an outlet store on the way to Philadelphia. You want to go?
Diane: Any time -- we can stop for drinks afterwards. Hmm.
Alexis: You're not going to take me to a place where the firemen hang out again, are you?
Diane: You love the place where the firemen hang out, because firemen are strong and brave --
Alexis: And good with their hoses.
Diane: I'm going to forget you said that. All I know is that at some point I have to get lucky.
Alexis: When are your clients coming in for questioning?
Diane: No dice.
Alexis: They're material witnesses.
Diane: Jason Morgan was out of town, and Sonny Corinthos was a victim of the blast. Is that suit Paola Jackson?
Alexis: It's Maha Chang. Do you know that tensions are escalating between Sonny and the Zaccharas?
Diane: Your current investigation has nothing to do with my clients.
Alexis: I'm not going to stand here while a mob war breaks out; I have to uphold the law. Where did you get your earrings?
Diane: Online.
Alexis: Cheap.
Diane: But good.
Diane: And it doesn't uphold or support any laws when you violate my clients' rights.
Diane: Simple due process.
Alexis: They're people of interest.
Diane: Then get a warrant. Shopping -- tomorrow, 3:00, I'll pick you up.
Alexis: I'll drive.
Diane: I'll drive.
Alexis: I'll drive. Ha! Whoo-hoo!
Diane: Ahem.
Lucky: Hey.
Elizabeth: Hey.
Lucky: I thought you were done for the day.
Elizabeth: Oh, split shift. Are you here to see the boys?
Lucky: No, I came here to interview Carly about the explosion -- she was there, and we just need to know what she saw.
Elizabeth: Well, she's scheduled for some tests, but I can find out when she's going to be done.
Elizabeth: Lucky, I -- when I went home, Sam came over, and we had --
Sam: Hey, hey, hi. I'm sorry to interrupt. Um -- I'm actually really glad that you're both here. Look -- um -- I thought it over, and I really don't want anyone else to get hurt any more than they already have been -- especially Jake. I think you both know how much I care about him. So I have decided that I do not want to press charges.
Elizabeth: Is that so?
Sam: I think I should just let it go.
Lucky: That's -- that's great. Sam, I think you're doing the right thing.
Sam: Thank you. I really -- I -- I think I really needed to hear that.
Logan: Lulu -- what's going on? What's up?
Lulu: There must be something that you want -- ice cream or jell-o or pudding or --
Logan: Lulu, take it easy. What -- you know, there isn't anything I want that isn't right here. What -- what's the matter? Why are you so upset?
Lulu: I ended it with Johnny -- this time, for real.
Logan: Wow. Well, I mean, that's -- that's good -- from my perspective, anyway.
Lulu: I made a mess of you and me and Johnny, and I hurt both of you in the process, and not that it's any consolation, but I hurt myself, too. Anyway, I'm sorry -- and not just for the wrench to the head --
[Logan chuckles]
Lulu: Although, that's clearly the worst thing I did to you. I am so sorry for the mixed signals and -- and the sneaking around and not knowing what I want and -- and --
Logan: I accept your apology, Lulu -- and I'm pretty sure that's, like, the second or third time I've said that. I'm tired of accepting it, so I'm -- I'm done. I don't want to be a person that you're, you know, always avoiding because every time you see me, you got to say how sorry you are. Instead, I'd like to be a guy, you know, that when you see, you're happy to see, you know?
Lulu: You already are. Huh.
Logan: Good. Well, in that case, you know what? There's something that you -- you can do for me. The food -- it's awful here. Can you smuggle me in something good?
Lulu: Yes, anything you want.
Johnny: I let her believe I was someone I'm not -- that I'm this nice guy.
Claudia: Hey, you are a nice guy. You're a really nice guy, and you have a tender heart -- probably too tender. You know, when you were a little kid, you used to always bring home stray cats and, like, three-legged frogs.
Johnny: You remember that?
Claudia: It's hard to forget a three-legged frog. Do you think it's possible that Lulu's like -- maybe she's one of your wounded animals or, you know, creatures?
Johnny: No, it was never about saving or fixing Lulu. I just liked her smile, I liked being with her. That night that Sonny nabbed me, we were supposed to go out to dinner, so he ruined what turned out to be our last date.
Claudia: Well, is it possible that you're letting that cloud your judgment when it concerns Sonny?
Johnny: The man is a psychotic pig who bullied and tortured me, he threatened you, and he's going to pay!
Claudia: Okay.
Sonny: Hey. How was the surgery?
Jason: The doctors expect a full recovery.
Sonny: Oh, that's good news.
Sonny: We got more trouble.
Jason: Diane filled me in.
Sonny: Yeah.
Jason: I'm glad you guys made it out of there safe.
Sonny: I still don't know who's responsible. Um -- I thought it was Trevor, but I don't think he's stupid enough to blow himself up.
Jason: I stopped -- I stopped at the hospital to -- to see Carly.
Sonny: She's doing okay, right?
Jason: She might be losing the baby.
Sonny: What are you -- I mean, she said she -- everything was okay, I don't understand.
Jason: She just started to cramp, and -- and she's -- I mean, she's scared.
Sonny: That's why Jax showed up -- oh -- he -- he came by and wanted to talk about Michael and the shooting -- you were right about Michael.
Jason: I wish I hadn't been.
Sonny: Johnny Zacchara -- he's out of control. He tried to kill me last night. Okay, here's the deal -- ahem. The only way to avoid a war is a preemptive move. We have to kill him.
Jason: We can't.
Carly: Well?
Jax: Hey, it's hard to tell at this early stage.
Carly: Kelly, come on.
Kelly: I'll let you know soon.
Kelly: I'm so sorry.
Jax: Hey -- hey -- hey.
Carly: I'm sorry.
Lucky: I've missed you.
Claudia: That's what this is about -- a way to kill Sonny without you getting hurt.
Sonny: He wants me dead. I got to kill him first.
Jax: Your ex-husband cost us our baby.

Det. Harper: The arson squad found him on their second walkthrough. They taped it off and called it in. Forensics and the coroner's team are on their way.
Alexis: Any idea who it is?
Det. Harper: Well, everyone known to be in the cannery has been accounted for. He's probably just some homeless guy who climbed into the cannery and got caught in the explosion.
Alexis: I hope it's that simple. Why don't you have forensics do a complete workup, put a rush on the I.D. When we figure out who the man is, maybe we can figure out why he died.
[Det. Harper sighs]
Marianna: When you called, I was sure it was about Randy.
Ric: I don't want to talk about that, ok? I don't want you to think about it.
Marianna: I can't stop. I couldn't concentrate at work. I had nightmares last night -- just seeing Randy lying there dead.
Ric: Ok, you got to stop doing this to yourself, ok? You got nothing to feel guilty about. You are not responsible for Randy's death.
Monica: How could I have been such a fool to think for one second that maybe you have come over here out of decency or respect? No, of course not -- you came to accuse your mother of --
Jason: No, I just came to tell you that -- that I know the truth about what happened, and --
Monica: Oh, you want to talk about truth? Well, then let's talk about the truth of the blood that's on your hands, Jason. And I don't mean just the blood of the people that you have killed in the name of your --
Jason: Monica, I have -- I have the proof. You're the one who ran down Sam.
Jax: You know, Sonny, you should call first before you show up.
Michael: It's ok.
Jax: No, it's not ok.
Michael: Everything's going to be fine -- tell them.
Sonny: I was just explaining to Michael that I'm going to be able to spend more time with him and Morgan. Things are going to be different, safer, that's all.
Michael: Which would make you feel better, especially now.
Carly: Michael --
Sonny: What do you mean, "especially now"?
Michael: They didn't tell you?
Sonny: Tell me what?
Michael: Mom and Jax are going to have a baby.
Jason: There's a construction site on Tuckerton near where Sam was hit, and their security cameras cover that stretch of road.
Monica: Wow -- Sonny gave you time off from your mob enforcement duties to investigate your mother?
Jason: I -- I didn't know what I was going to find on that video.
Monica: Oh, but you were really ready to believe it, weren't you? Especially after the ridiculous accusations Tracy has made at the hospital, I'm sure you really wanted to believe it. Why, Jason? Why, after everything you have done to this family? Unless, of course, maybe you -- you want to divert suspicion from someone else, someone who is obviously more important than me?
Jason: Security footage shows that Sam was being hit, it was your car, you were driving.
Monica: Whew. I really hoped it had been a -- um -- a log or a guardrail or something.
Jason: You don't remember? Is it because you blacked out?
Monica: What if I say yes? Are you going to offer to cover it up for me?
Lucky: You're frowning. It makes you look worried.
Elizabeth: Lucky, I'm not really --
Lucky: It's over, ok?
Elizabeth: I don't really trust that Sam's not going to press charges against me for the hit-and-run.
Lucky: Sam just wants all this animosity to end.
Elizabeth: No, lucky, she wants you. I mean, come on, let's be honest. She knows it's not going to go over well -- she sends me to prison, takes the boys away from their mother.
Lucky: Give Sam a little credit. I mean, after all, you sat on this for weeks.
Elizabeth: To protect the truth about Jake's paternity. And I didn't want to come forward until I was absolutely sure.
Lucky: You know what? And I explained that to her, and she gets it. I was just hoping that you might show a little of the same understanding.
Elizabeth: Oh. So that's how it is now?
Lucky: Sam and I are going to give it another shot. We're going to take things slow, but eventually she's going to be around Cameron and Jake. I'm more than protective of those little boys, and I'm upset because what Sam did, but I know in my heart that she would never put them in danger again.
Elizabeth: Oh. Ok, I am grateful for things Sam said. I just wish she were the person you think she is.
Lucky: And that's not your problem.
Elizabeth: Well, it kind of is when you expect me to trust her.
Lucky: You know what? You're never going to let this go, are you?
Elizabeth: It's not just the children I'm thinking about.
Lucky: It's my life, my choice --
Elizabeth: I know.
Lucky: And I'm making it.
Nurse: Dr. Devlin's not answering his pages, any idea where he might be?
Claudia: All the time that I spent with you in Milan negotiating for Uncle Rudy to move your product, and you never mentioned that you were a doctor.
Ian: I'm sure there's quite a few things that I don't know about you.
Claudia: Yeah, but in my family, lies of omission are taken very seriously. Isn't there something in the Hippocratic Oath about first do no harm?
Ian: You know, if this is a negotiating ploy, my motives and ethical standards are off the table. Let's just keep it simple, shall we? I made you a pile of money before, I'll do it again -- if there's no complications.
Claudia: Such as?
Ian: How do we know Trevor's going to honor our deal?
Claudia: Trevor is just our lawyer. He does not run this family, Johnny does.
Ian: Johnny?
Claudia: Yeah.
Ian: Johnny put a shipment at the bottom of the harbor in a show of defiance directed at Trevor. I make it my business to know these things, Claudia.
Claudia: Johnny trusts my judgment, and he'll go with me on this.
Ian: Just to be on the safe side, I have a shipment available for transport in about a month, and I don't want Trevor involved in any way -- I don't even want him to know about it.
Claudia: That's not a problem. Trevor is on his way out.
Marianna: I knew Randy wouldn't just let me walk ay. I'm the reason why he came to Port Charles. I'm the reason why this happened to him.
Ric: Ok, but you didn't kill him.
Marianna: He left me a message to meet him at the warehouse.
Ric: Mm-hmm, and when you got there, he was already dead.
Marianna: You only have my word for that.
Ric: That's all I need, Marianna, ok? You're not capable of something like this.
Marianna: I let you drag the body away to make it look like Randy died in the explosion.
Ric: I didn't give you much of a choice, did I?
Marianna: Well, if you would've been caugh--
Ric: I am not going to let the man take more from you now. He took enough from you when he was alive.
Marianna: So I'm supposed to just enjoy a nice dinner with you and pretend this didn't happen?
Ric: No, what happened was that a man stole two years of your life. He told you lies and made promises to get you into this country, and then he messed with your immigration status, and you were trapped so that he could make whatever demands on you that he wanted, so that he could physically abuse you because he knew you couldn't go to the police.
Marianna: Well, I did this to myself, and I don't want you to pay for this.
Ric: Marianna, if I hadn't moved the body, then I would never have had the chance to see Carly, I would've never had the chance to help her.
Marianna: You saved her life.
Ric: Yeah, well, there was a time not too long ago that I -- I would've seen that as an opportunity to take advantage of, you know, to settle an old score. But I wasn't thinking about that.
Marianna: Because you're a good man.
Ric: No, I'm not, Marianna.
Marianna: Yes, you are.
Ric: I'm not. I haven't been a very good man for a very long time. I've been so wrapped up with this -- this hatred of my brother -- you know, wanting his approval or wanting to make him pay for what I thought he did. And even when Sonny did acknowledge what I had done -- however grudgingly -- I realized -- I realized I -- I didn't care what he thought. I'm free.
Ric: Ok?
Ric: We're free. Come on.
Carly: Michael -- um -- there's something we need to tell you, ok?
Michael: I know what you're going to say -- that this is for the grownups to work out. I just don't understand why you have to fight when you have so much to be happy about.
Carly: You're right, I do have a lot to be happy about, and I have a lot to be thankful for. But I think --
Morgan: Michael, Michael!
Michael: Hey.
Morgan: Mercedes said she'd take us to arcade.
Carly: Oh.
Mercedes: If that's all right?
Jax: Yeah, sure.
Carly: That's fine, yeah.
Mercedes: Come on, let's tie your shoes, let's go. All right, hurry.
Sonny: Carly -- Carly? You lost the baby, didn't you?
Jax: Because of you.
Sonny: I'm sorry, Carly. I know nothing I can say can --
Jax: Oh, save your condolences, Sonny, they don't mean a damn thing.
Carly: Jax --
Sonny: Ok, you want to blame somebody, Jax? Blame me because, you know --
Jax: You are to blame, Sonny.
Jax: You're the reason that Michael ran away. You're the reason that Michael was at the warehouse, and the reason that Carly was there when it blew up.
Carly: This isn't helping.
Jax: This baby, our baby, would still be alive if it wasn't for the violence in your life.
Carly: Ok, stop! Sonny's not to blame for the cannery explosion.
Jax: Huh. Right.
Carly: He's not. But you are to blame for what happened with Michael. How the hell could you not have told me he was trying to get his hands on a g?
Maxie: Hi, Ms. Howard's expecting me. Ok, I know you probably have people do this to you all the time -- come in and tell you that they love fashion, that it's in their blood, they want to be a part of that world, your world. Of course you do -- you're Kate Howard.
Kate: Yes, we all know who I am. And you are?
Maxie: Maxie -- Jones. I'm -- Jones, Maxie Jones, sorry.
Kate: Oh, Jones -- the police commissioner's daughter.
Maxie: Mm-hmm. I could change that, though -- the "Jones" part -- people change their names all the time.
Kate: Yes, but before you start reinventing yourself, perhaps you could explain exactly why you're here.
Maxie: I want to work for you. Oh, I want to learn from the best, and I heard you're starting a new magazine. I wanted to tell you you don't have to look for an assistant anymore because you've already found her.
Kate: And your qualifications?
Maxie: Fashion is my life?
Kate: Right -- it's easy to say. Let's see if you can back it up.
Monica: Don't panic -- I wasn't serious. It's just that all of the people that you have lied for, covered up for, I was just kind of wondering if you would offer to do the same for me. I just was curious as to where I stood.
Jason: You already tried to cover this up.
Monica: Oh, that was -- that was even before Sam. I mean, I've been going through this nasty lawsuit with Tracy. I didn't want to give her any more ammunition -- like me nodding off behind the wheel of a car because I was exhausted.
Jason: Monica, you were -- you were drinking.
Monica: Oh, is that what your sources say?
Jason: I don't -- I don't need anybody to tell me anything.
Monica: No. You know me so well.
Jason: You had to be drunk -- you wouldn't have driven off and left Sam in the road.
Monica: Well, Jason, can you blame me for drinking? You've taken everything away from me. You have put Sonny and that business above absolutely everything -- above A.J., above Alan -- who died waiting for you while you were doing Sonny's bidding -- and Emily -- Emily, who thought you were the sun and the moon and the stars and forgave you of every single thing. She died because Diego Alcazar wanted to get revenge on you because of what you did to his father. I don't have anything, Jason -- you've taken it. So you take -- take that surveillance tape, you do whatever you want to do with it, but just get out. Just get out.
Jason: You can hate me as much as you need to. I just want you to get help.
Monica: Get out.
Marianna: I told you I don't want you helping me this way.
Ric: Oh, you'd be helping me. Once I rebuild that waterfront property, it's going to need places to eat.
Marianna: Thank you -- so you just, like, hand it over to me to run?
Ric: It's not that easy to run a restaurant -- you know, I need somebody who knows what they're doing. But if you think that you can't handle it, that's fine.
Marianna: Hey, I am not afraid of hard work.
[Ric chuckles]
Ric: Think of it as an investor backing somebody that they believe in.
Marianna: Ok, I am going to draw up a business plan so you can see what you're investing in.
Marianna: And I'll design the interior and the menu -- regional foods from my part of the world, like things that my mother used to cook, like aripa, cachapa, teqno, platanitos -- well, if that's all right?
Ric: No, no, it's -- it's perfect.
[Marianna laughs]
Ric: You know, you never told me what your mom's name is.
Marianna: Alma Melina.
Ric: Alma Melina. Well, to Alma -- Alma's cocina.
Marianna: I don't remember ever being this happy.
Ric: Well, get used to it.
Ric: It's ok. Ahem. Ahem. Alexis, hi.
Alexis: Hi.
Ric: What's -- what's up?
Alexis: Hi. I'm sorry to come by unannounced.
Marianna: It's ok.
Alexis: I'm not going to be able to make it to Disney On Ice with the girls, so I thought you could use the tickets.
Ric: Oh, that's a shame -- work?
Alexis: The police pulled a body out of the water under the cannery.
Spinelli: The Jackal, though glad to be of service, I can't help but feel that my formidable cyber-skills are both a blessing and a curse.
Jason: Right, right, but you did -- you did a great job with is hit-and-run surveillance -- Spinelli: Yeah, but I shone the harsh spotlight of guilt on the mother of Stone Cold. What are you planning on doing with this information?
Jason: I have no idea, Spinelli. I mean, right now Monica's in a bad way, and I'm responsible for a lot of it. I don't want her to have to go through any more because of --
Sam: I got your message.
Spinelli: Uh -- yes. Salutations, goddess --
Sam: Yes.
Spinelli: Uh -- she who was formerly known as the goddess --
Spinelli: Your Everyday Hero-ness.
Sam: No, actually, formerly that, too. Yes, I have been replaced by a beauty queen tri-athlete named Tiffany. But, hey, that is show biz, yeah? Yeah. All right, it must be pretty important for you to want to be in the same room with me by choice, but then again, threats and blackmails are always more effective in person. I am assuming you want to keep me from pressing charges against Elizabeth for running me down, wrecking my hip, killing my career?
Jason: Elizabeth is not the person who hit you.
Alice: Mr. Cassadine here to see you, Dr. Q. Um -- how about I make you guys a fresh pot of tea?
Monica: No, that -- that's all right, Alice. Thank you. I'm really not in the mood for visitors, Nikolas.
Nikolas: No, no, this -- this isn't just a social call. There's something I'd like to discuss with you.
[Claudia hums]
Johnny: Don't you look pleased with yourself.
Claudia: Ha-ha! Goody -- company! Yay. I was just considering a few new redecorating ideas, wall-mountings -- Trevor's head.
[Johnny chuckles]
Johnny: Nah -- why have any reminders of that bastard?
Claudia: You make an excellent point, little brother. To us.
[Claudia giggles]
Claudia: A sweet little deal just fell into our laps today. I was contacted by an old associate that I used to do business with with Uncle Rudy, you know? He wants us to move a shipment for him.
Johnny: Sonny will see that as an act of aggression. He'll try to block us.
Claudia: If we had control of the Alcazar waterfront properties and piers, it would certainly help our position. If we can make that happen, though, I think --
Trevor: If you could make what happen?
Johnny: You're on a need-to-know basis.
Trevor: How many times do I got to tell you? You don't run this operation without me.
Claudia: You know, Trevor, you're right -- we do need your help. Um -- do you know a good taxidermist?
Carly: We're supposed to be working together as parents. You knew Michael was trying to get his hands on a gun. You knew he was upset, you knew he was confused, and you knew he wanted to protect his family. You should've told me and Jax about this. We could've worked together, we could've stopped this, Sonny!
Sonny: You're absolutely right. I should've -- I should've handled it differently.
Jax: No -- that would've meant acknowledging that I'm Michael's father, too, and that you've been a lousy role model. I mean, the kid thought that you solve problems with a gun. He thinks that people blowing up and people getting shot -- it's just part of everyday life.
Sonny: That's going to change.
Jax: Right, yeah -- you don't believe that any more than I do.
Sonny: Yeah, actually, I do, Jax. I just made a truce with the Zaccharas.
Jax: Really? Wow. Well, you know what? That's wonderful. Let me get some champagne so we can all celebrate.
Sonny: Ok, I've -- I've been in Jax's place, I know what you're going through, what both of you are going through, and I wish to god that I could change what happened and make it go away, but I can't. All I can say is I'm going to do everything I can to make things safe. And I'm going to do everything I can to help Michael more than I have.
Jax: I'm done with this.

Kate: Neela Llorente?
Maxie: I've been copying Neela Llorente since I was 12. I used to use my sister as a mannequin -- I would pin the dresses on her. Uh -- Neela likes very clean, simple lines, everything finished, precise.
Kate: Meticulous, yes. All right, now name a designer with a completely different aesthetic taste.
Maxie: Chloe b -- her designs are very raw, deconstructed. She's crazy -- "kamikaze fashion" I call it.
Kate: Well, you know your designers for the most part.
Maxie: Yeah, it's the other areas of my life I tend to screw up in. Fashion -- I don't know -- I just -- this is where I belong.
Kate: Maxie, this is more than just a job -- this career that you're dreaming about -- it's more than knowing your Basque from your bateau. You also have to know about history and culture, art and design -- and not just fashion design.
Maxie: My sister was the smart one, but I could learn. And if you hire me, I promise I will dedicate my whole life to this magazine and be available to you 24/7.
Kate: Well, I'm sure your boyfriend will have something to say about that.
Maxie: I don't have a boyfriend -- it hasn't exactly worked out for me so well.
Kate: You're young.
Maxie: I'm old enough to know that whatever could pass as love with some guy is nothing compared to what you have -- success in the fashion world.
Sonny: Hi. Hi. I'm sorry, bad time?
Kate: No, we were just finishing up.
Sonny: Ah.
Kate: Well, it's been interesting. I'll think about it and let you know.
Sonny: What was that about?
Kate: Me looking at a mirror -- who I was at her age.
Marianna: Oh --
Ric: Look, we knew there was a chance that they were going to find Randy's body.
Marianna: And when the police find out that I lived with him and worked for him, they're going to realize it's coincidence that we were there at the same time!
Ric: Ok, listen, are they going to question you -- probably.
Marianna: And what am I supposed to tell them?
Ric: The truth, ok -- that you walked out on Randy, and that he followed us back to Port Charles. Hell, he could've followed us to the cannery and got caught in the explosion before we even knew he was there!
Marianna: But that's not what happened.
Ric: You did not kill Randy, ok? That is the truth, and that is what you hang on to. You have no reason in the world to feel guilty. Ok?
Marianna: You're wrong.
Trevor: The person who controls the Alcazar waterfront property holds the balance of power in Port Charles.
Johnny: Well, that's not exactly news, Trevor.
Claudia: And you'd be rubbing our faces in it and shouting it from rooftops if you had that deed.
Trevor: Well, soon enough. And then we're going to have to reassess how this family does business. You, for instance, Claudia -- what role will you play, hmm? Maybe it would be better if you were back in Milan with Uncle Rudy, doing the things that you do best.
Johnny: I don't like the way you talk to my sister -- I never have.
Trevor: You know, you can push and shove all you want. But everybody who was at the meeting of the five families knew exactly why Claudia was there -- she wanted to do Sonny Corinthos on one of the saloon tables.
Johnny: She's my sister! You are quickly outliving your usefulness here.
Trevor: All right, Johnny, come on, wake up, you're not a kid anymore. This is a business, and your sister's a liability.
Sam: You are unbelievable. I can't believe that you -- you are actually willing to throw your own mother under the bus so you can protect Elizabeth?
Jason: We're talking about proof.
Sam: Proof?
Sam: Well, I'm sure The Jackal had no problem fabricating evidence for you.
Jason: Ok, and if I really wanted to do that, why wouldn't I pin it on some dead guy, or some guy I wouldn't mind sending to prison? Why my own mother? What would I get out of that?
Sam: Oh -- your mother, Jason? Why wouldn't she stop? Come on.
Jason: Because she'd been drinking. Emily's death has sent her over the edge -- whew -- and Emily died because Diego wanted revenge on me, so this is my fault. If you're looking for somebody to blame, you can just --
Sam: No, go to hell, Jason. Don't act like I am so shallow that all I'm worried about is having someone to blame for this. As if I would ever blame you for Emily's death or your mother for wanting to get numb after she lost her husband and all of her children. Because, let's face it, Jason, you are not much of a son. So, go run to Elizabeth and tell her the good news. And don't worry about your mother -- I'm not going to be pressing charges against her. I would never do anything to hurt her -- I'll leave that to you.
Nikolas: I have an idea that I'd like you to work with me on to make a reality. I want to set up a program at the hospital in Emily's memory, and I'd like your help, your ideas --
Monica: Why are you really here?
Nikolas: That's -- that's why I'm here, I'd -- I'd really like your help with it.
Monica: I mean, if you think that that's going to lessen the pain, if you think that's going to bring Emily closer to you, well, you're wrong. She's dead, and we have to face that. And -- uh -- I'm guess I'm -- I'm sorry about that because it really -- that was really more about me than it was about you. You, I know, loved Emily more than anything in the world, but you seem to be -- you seem to be coping with it, you've gone on with your life.
Nikolas: No, no, not really. I'm actually terrified of living without Emily -- sometimes I wish I were dead.
Monica: Oh, no, don't say that.
Nikolas: But that's not what Emily would want for me. I don't know, Dr. Quatermaine. Maybe a way to ease your pain is to think about what Emily would want for you.
Jax: You know, from the beginning I've had to make room in this relationship for Sonny.
Carly: We have two children together, Jax.
Jax: He does what he wants, and you go along with it.
Carly: Come on, this isn't about me and Sonny.
Jax: He keeps you on a string -- he even uses your kids to do it.
Carly: Why are you doing this?
Jax: Because from the moment you found out that you were pregnant, I could see that things were going to change. You weren't just giving me a baby, this baby was going to give me you.
Carly: What do you want me to do? Do -- do you want me to hate Sonny now and blame him? Then that would mean that I love you, that -- that would mean that I'm hurting as much as you are?
Jax: Sonny started pouring out the false promises, and you lapped it up --
Carly: This isn't going to bring our baby back, Jax. Nothing is going to bring our baby back, ok? Nothing!
Jax: I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Kate: Looking at Maxie, listening to her -- it reminded me of all the sacrifices that people like you and I had to make to reach our goals, the sacrifices that we continue to make.
Sonny: You want to know what my goal is? To have you in my life, and to make sure that it doesn't require any more sacrifice.
Kate: Sonny, I don't want you to blame yourself.
Sonny: I'm not -- I have to blame myself because Michael's my son.
Kate: And he was sold a gun by bottom feeders who peddle their wares to children.
Sonny: He's growing up. He's trying to figure out what kind of man he wants to be. And it makes me think, like, what kind of man do I want to be for you, for the people that I love? You want to know what I did? I made a truce with the Zaccharas.
Kate: Whoa. What did you have to sacrifice for that?
Sonny: What did I have to sacrifice for that? I mean, look, if it means you not living every day of your life in fear? If it means you starting up a magazine, you know, passing on whatever you know to someone like, you know, Maxie? If it -- huh -- if it means creating the next Kate Howard?
Kate: Well, as the saying goes, "careful what you wish for."
Maxie: Time to pay up -- whew.
Spinelli: She speaks in riddles.
Maxie: Well, I bailed your butt out after you got us stuck in that sewer, and then you were so whacked out on chloroform you couldn't even walk.
Spinelli: Ok, I -- I was instrumental in bringing Diego Alcazar to justice.
Maxie: Hmm, you were barely conscious, and if you think that you're going to weasel your way out of helping me now, you can just think again.
Spinelli: Ok, what will -- what will make you consider that this disputable debt is repaid?
Maxie: Ok, I need you to help me sound smart.
Spinelli: Why start now?
Maxie: Aw.
[Spinelli chuckles]
Maxie: Well, I had a job interview today -- not exactly an interview -- I kind of stormed in on Kate Howard and told her how I'd make the world's most perfect assistant.
Spinelli: You, a junior fashionista?
Maxie: Yeah. Why not me? I have the fashion stuff down cold, but she made it sound like I needed to know all this history and culture -- you know, all that stuff I slept through in high school? So you might be a geek and a complete fashion eyesore, but you're the smartest person I know -- kind of.
Spinelli: So now you expect me to provide you with a crib sheet on the more intellectual pursuits?
Maxie: Mm-hmm -- and you can lose the attitude.
Spinelli: My muf--
Maxie: I'm hungry.
Spinelli: Mm-hmm.
Elizabeth: Are you sure? There's -- there's no chance it could be a mistake?
Jason: No, Spinelli has the footage on his computer, you're welcome to see it, but you're not the one who hit Sam.
Elizabeth: Oh, my god. Thank you.
Jason: Oh, I'll -- I'll take the hug, but it was Spinelli who figured it out.
Elizabeth: No, for believing in me, for not giving up when I was ready to turn myself in. I was so afraid I was going to be taken away from my kids -- away from you.
Jason: You're not going anywhere.
Marianna: I hated Randy. I didn't think I could hate someone so much. I even prayed sometimes that he would die, and now he's --
Ric: Hey, look, we all have terrible thoughts sometimes, and sometimes we even act on them, but you didn't.
Marianna: How do you know? How do you know for sure? How do you know I'm not lying to you?
Ric: Because you told me that you didn't, and I believe you. How's that? Come on.
Marianna: I got to go.
Ric: What -- no, no, no, what? Why?
Marianna: I just have to give you time to think, for sure -- to be sure. I -- I don't want you to do anything for me you're going to regret.
Ric: I -- I am sure.
Marianna: Just good night -- for now, ok?
Ric: Ok, for now.
Ric: Hey. Look, I'm really -- get out, ok?
Trevor: Just as soon as you hand over the deed to the waterfront.
Ric: That's not going to happen!
Trevor: Richie, wait till you hear my offer. Bleach kills germs,
Spinelli: You know nothing of the currant or past state of the rest of the world, let alone our corner of it.
Maxie: Ok, so I don't know exactly where Louisiana is.
Spinelli: Well, that, for instance. Louisiana is not just -- it's not just a place. It is -- it is a gumbo pot of cultures -- West African Creoles, Cajuns --
Maxie: Ok, Spinelli, whatever. Why don't you just write down a couple of things that will make me sound smart?
Spinelli: "The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain."
Nikolas: Look, I'm not paying you $10 million unless you can guarantee me that you'll provide me with an unlimited supply of that drug.
Ian: I told you that this drug is illegal in this country. I need the money to grease the wheels, to open the door so I can provide you with what you need. Now, if you keep tracking me down like this, it's just going to raise suspicion.
Nikolas: All right, I'm making an endowment in my fiancée's name that I'll be administering myself, so there'll be a reason for me to be around here.
Ian: May I help you?
Johnny: Yeah, my sister was injured in the cannery explosion.
Claudia: Uh -- I have some stitches -- they still hurt -- and I told my brother that it was normal, but he insisted I get checked out, so --
Ian: Well, that's something normally an intern would handle, but I can make a special exception in your case.
Claudia: Yes, thank you, Dr. --
Ian: Devlin.
Claudia: Claudia Zacchara.
Ric: I told you before that I had no intention of selling the cannery or those piers. I'm going forward with my plans to develop the site.
Trevor: No, you're not, and you want to know why?
Ric: Why?
Trevor: Because the police just fished a body out of the water, and you know whose body that is? Marianna's old boyfriend, Randy.
Ric: So what?
Trevor: "So what?" Well, I think forensics will see that Randy was killed by a tire iron, and I am in possession of that murder weapon -- with Marianna's fingerprints all over it. So you think you got a little bit more time to talk business with your daddy?
Lucky: Surprise.
Sam: You don't have to do this.
Lucky: Oh, I haven't even started yet. I'm going to take you out to dinner tonight, and then I was thinking maybe we should go --
Sam: No, lucky, really, you don't have to do this. Turns out Elizabeth isn't the one who hit me with her car. Yeah, Spinelli -- he was able to dig up some surveillance footage. Anyway, it was Monica Quatermaine -
Lucky: Monica?
Sam: Yes, and don't worry -- I already told Jason -- and I'm not going to press -- I'm not going to press any charges. So you don't have to pretend to romance me for Elizabeth or -- or anyone else. You're free to walk away -- just like you wanted to.
Elizabeth: I'm sorry.
Jason: What?
Elizabeth: Well, here I am acting all happy, and I --
Jason: No, no, no, you don't have anything to apologize for, you didn't do anything wrong.
Elizabeth: And neither did you.
Jason: Yeah, but Monica has suffered enough because of the choices I've made. I'm her only child left, and I haven't been much of a son to her, and, you know, I want to help her. I want -- I want her to have hope. I -- I kind of find myself wishing that I can tell her that Jake is her grandson.
Jason: Jake is her grandson. Elizabeth: Jake would be safer if no one knew you were his father. Epiphany: Your mother's just been brought into the E.R. Trevor: Sign the deeds, Richie. Kate: Maybe you can get out of organized crime altogether.
